8-Bit? 4-Bit! by Polar 2013-04-29T03:22:00
There's a small bug at the beginning, where if you press nothing the character bounces around and dies, but otherwise, fun game!

Haha, great game. Love the feel and look, music fits well. Top notch if I do say so.
I realized that I had one value off, quickly changed that and now the game should work much better.
Ugh. Sorry about the invincable bridge. Small error on values :(
Thanks mike :) Also, yeah, the fireballs are pretty nasty.
Thanks tankete. On a side note, in the past week since the compo I have done a bit more work on the game. Patched some mechanics and actually learned how to add sound :D. Game plays so much better, and I wish I could share it!
Fun little game. The controls are kind of undefined, and I coulnd't figure out what I was exactly trying to do after I reached 21.
When I clicked on the link it said the page could not be found. Is this just me?
I feel like this will progress to being a good game, but I personally found it kind of confusing, I have no doubt it will get better as more players contribute. I'm still very impressed with what you were able to do.
Great sound and great game. Best of the bomb defusing games I've played so far for this LD
Found the first 3 levels kind of boring, but after that the game picked up and I did enjoy it. The mechanic of having to start over from the beginning wasn't my favorite but it did add some purpose to quick thinking. Pretty good game overall!
Is it possible to win? Probably, I just am terrible. Entertaining game though.
Loved it :D The graphics and audio really sold it for me, they created a great atmosphere that really went well with the storyline.
Awesome game :D. I love just going all out and dropping straight down without putting any upwards thrust into it, but I always seem to splat on the bottom when I can't slow down in time.
I loved the art, really cute game.
Guilty is charged. I will never forget when I was a kid playing classic sonic on my uncles sega genesis
I liked the random levels, however one generated where I was in the top right, there was a locked wall to the left of me, and the key was on the other side of the map :(
Bit awkward to control but overall, a great game.
Enjoyed it :)
Nice game
It kind of snowballed after I beat level one. Overall it was fun.
I saved the princess! :D Loved the game :) Way better then the typing practice I have to do in class >:|
There were a few issues with the collision detection when you're falling and you clip into the side of a block, but otherwise it controlled pretty well. I LOVED the music, it fit perfectly with the game.
It wouldn't run for me.
Fun little game. I need to work on my baskeball skills though :(
Liked it, got pretty far into it too :D
I guess I neglected to mention anywhere that you can also use the arrow keys to control. Whoops.
(I think, not sure if I left that in)
Yes. Yes I did.
Pretty fun. As other have mentioned the physics feel weird. Also I was able to run up walls and I'm not sure if that was intentional. Otherwise I loved the music, really suited the game well.
Having the same issue as Drew. Unity logo slides in and out with black viewport.
Really cool :D Currently stuck on the second level but I feel a strong urge to keep trying. Some of the sound effects were a bit loud but otherwise I loved it.
After I figured out what I was doing I found it really fun and clever! Cool game, loved the graphics and audio.
Glad I found this. Always love a text based game. At first I didn't know what was going on but after I figured out what was going on it seemed pretty awesome.
Wow that was difficult. Neat idea, I liked it after starting to get the hang of it.
A bit more direction would have been nice. I was completely lost half the time and I didn't know if I was somewhere I'd already been. Other than that, I liked the concept. It was fun to be able to interact with all the scattered NPC's.
Collision detection felt really off. Kept getting stuck on things. Also it was annoying that you die about 7 seconds after getting hit. I'd run past a detector thinking I made it only to die a moment later. On the other hand I loved the mechanic where you could push the detectors around to make your 'own path' through the level.
I LOVED IT. ID SAY MORE BUT IM SPEACHLESS. It was so fun and the voiceovers just had me cracking up. My fave was the rocket sound effect, really sold it for me :D. Great work and I'm super impressed you got a multiplayer up!
I think it's been mentioned before but the art is just stunning. Honestly this is the quality I expect from games that I pay money for, and have studios to produce them. To see this kind of work done in 48 hours is just incredible. Awesome work!
