LD22 — Alone

Abandoned by Noel Berry 2011-12-18T23:26:00

This was amazing... great job!

LD25 — You are the Villain

Happy Little Murder Friends by farmergnome 2012-12-19T19:08:00

One of the best games I've played so far. Feels very complete, was a little hard but the overall style and gameplay made it a lot of fun.

(Tie One Woman to a Train Track and Suddenly) I'm the Badguy by handCraftedRadio 2012-12-18T01:26:00

Really great!

BOTWALK by namuol 2012-12-18T21:28:00

Really nice looking game. Had some trouble controlling the robot which made it less fun. I would just use the left and right click on the mouse to control him and it would handle moving left and right as well. Graphics are great!

A Froggy Day in London Town by photonstorm 2012-12-19T00:24:00

Great take on the theme!

Pathos by McFunkypants 2012-12-19T21:10:00

Great game idea, totally different then I would expect. Well executed!

hunt by zillix 2012-12-17T04:02:00

I liked this, interesting concept. Just wasn't very clear at first what to do, even with the intro pictures. I liked the art, wish you would scale it up by a factor of 2 so i could see what was going on a little better.

Greed by Gib 2012-12-17T16:15:00

I really like the art style and the multi-layered effect for layers you "scratch off" was interesting. A lot more interesting then I had thought. Not much of a "game" but I think there is a lot of potential here you can build upon.

Super Paper Monster Smasher by Jesse Freeman 2012-12-18T21:36:00

Thanks everyone for the comments. I am really happy with the art and style. I agree with all of you who brought up the shallow gameplay. I plan on turning this into a full game with enemy waves, challenges, different levels/monsters and possibly a sequel where you are one defending the location from the monster by sending in knights, archers, etc.

You are the hero by Houly 2012-12-17T18:59:00

Loved the glitches and how things get shifted around towards the end. Great setup for the ending as well. Wish it was a little bit longer.

Holly Jolly Pyromaniac by UndergroundPixel 2012-12-19T13:26:00

Great looking game! Wish there was more to do and at first I was confused over which houses to destroy. Once I got into it, the game was fun. Kind of reminded me of paperboy.

Dr. Villano by GetFun 2012-12-18T01:51:00

Loved the graphics, gameplay is a little repetitive but it was fun to play for a few rounds. Wish I had more control over what I shot like buildings, people and aiming specifically at the object I want to shoot. I can hang out in a corner, click really fast at the other side of the screen and hold me own for some time. Great job!

Unhappy Holidays! by GeorgeBroussard 2012-12-19T13:39:00

Loved the graphics but found it a little hard. I think less zombies and a little more strategy around the pacing of when they show up on screen would help. I felt like I was just mobbed. Would love to see this expanded into a larger game.

LD26 — Minimalism

Factory Consultant by namuol 2013-05-21T00:43:00

Fun little game. I skipped all the test in the beginning ;)

Factory Consultant by namuol 2013-05-21T00:44:00

Can't type today, meant to say I skipped all the "text" in the beginning.

Enlightenment by xploitgames 2013-05-02T12:42:00

Love the concept. Found the controls a bit hard since you have to move with your left keys and aim with the right keys. I think if it auto aimed out the window or you could use the mouse to find the angle it would be easier. Great job!

Twitch 21 by Jesse Freeman 2013-05-02T00:45:00

Thanks so much for the feedback. Glad to see people are enjoying the game. I should have clarified that you need to click on the large number to submit your value but after a little bit of trial and error it looks like everyone figured it out. I'll continue to refine the game and clear up the instructions in the next version.

LD27 — 10 Seconds

10Seconds Racer by orangepascal 2013-08-28T12:43:00

Great game, love the artwork and the controls. Awesome job!

The Saddest Landscape by BradleySmith 2013-09-04T11:27:00

Great mood, looking forward to what you do next with it.

10 Second Paper Flight by Gamepopper 2013-09-04T11:17:00

Loved the concept but like a few other people I had a hard time trying to figure the ideal way to throw the paper plane.

Potato Lagoon by rezoner 2013-09-04T11:21:00

Loved the artwork! Found it a bit hard to wrap my head around controlling the ship but very interesting concept once I got it.

Film Leader by PixelArtM 2013-09-04T11:24:00

Fun little game. I found the controls a little too "floaty" which is a pet peeve of mine in platform style games. Would love to see what you do with it after.

Unstable Ground by avh4 2013-08-28T14:00:00

Had a hard time figuring out where to place the explosives. Also got stuck on the 2nd floor of a building. Interesting concept but could use some extra polish. Maybe more instructions or hint of some kind.

Hold My Beer! by Lars Faust 2013-09-04T11:19:00

Loved the retro style artwork and interesting concept to make each screen a different puzzle.

Every Ten Seconds A Kitten Drowns by matthias_zarzecki 2013-08-28T13:27:00

Interesting concept and easy to pick up. I wish there was a way to see where to save the kittens, maybe a GTA style map were they show up on the radar. Great job!

Super Box Boy Flies by Jesse Freeman 2013-08-26T02:07:00

Thanks for the feedback. I tweaked a few things after you looked at it such as the background like you suggested, some more artwork and added a combo system to help you speed up the game when you are closer to the ground plus give you some indication you are actually clicking at the right time.

Super Box Boy Flies by Jesse Freeman 2013-08-26T15:07:00

Thanks for the feedback on the controls. I'm not very happy with them myself. I plan on clean it up when I have more time. For now if you basically just mash the mouse button or arrow key like it's track and field right before you land and it will shoot you up. It's a little easier to do on tablets.

I also want to let you move right and left to collect stuff but also have to go back to center or you'll splatter. Since I made this for my 4 year old I took that part out.

ROBOT PLANET by GeorgeBroussard 2013-08-26T14:47:00

Great little game! It felt a bit strange with the air counting down in real time while everything was turn based but it added a good level of stress to forcing me to think/move quickly. Kind of like speed chess.

Stator Chronicle by Sergey Mohov 2013-08-30T13:15:00

Love the art style, really great look and feel to the game!

LD33 — You are the Monster

(You are the) monster gaiden by Christina Antoinette Neofotistou 2015-08-25T23:18:00

I love the art style. I think you are onto something here if you keep adding more to the experience. Great foundation!

MonsterMystery by ShadowBrain 2015-08-27T18:19:00

Interesting idea. Liked the art and the camera work. Got stuck in a few places due to camera not moving to a better location and found the sliding bug others brought up. Love the point and click nature of the game. Great job!

A Bad Wolf King is Hard to Feed by McFunkypants 2015-08-26T22:50:00

Nice art style and really love the level design. Great job!

Curse Of The Poncho by EncryptedCow 2015-08-27T19:34:00

Great music and artwork. Like the concept but had trouble controlling. Should be a little more forgiving on the aim area. Also need some indication you can move forward in a battle. Great start!

Oranges In Love With My Fly by ViliX64 2015-08-26T22:59:00

Interesting graphic style. Like others I was a little confused as to what was going on in the game. The art style makes me want to play it more.

Pumpi by ruerob 2015-08-25T18:22:00

Loved this. Graphics are great and really liked the concept. Hope you add more to it!

Of Glorious Nation by Xinelu 2015-08-26T22:56:00

I was also having issues trying to figure things out. Good try though.

Inokan by gillenew 2015-09-04T12:43:00

Great art and music! Controls felt a bit off, especially when you are surrounded by shadows. It's a great concept, hopefully you continue to work on it now that the jam is over.

All For One by DrunkenOrc 2015-08-25T22:44:00

Looked interesting but I was having issues with moving around. I found single block wide pathways difficult to line the player up correctly to move into. Kept me from really making much progress. Good luck!

Poust by madmaw 2015-08-25T18:17:00

Interesting concept. I was confused about how to actually control the movement. Also just a heads up when the game is embedded if you hit space it also scrolls down the page so may want to change the action button to something else.

WAYWARD by cowboycolor 2015-08-26T23:21:00

Great art style!

Dude, Stop by Patomkin 2015-08-27T22:33:00

Loved it. Got stuck on the salt and pepper. Had a few issues with controlling with the mouse in the browser on a mac but really funny and great take on the theme!

Warrior Of Dragons by Jesse Freeman 2015-08-25T10:45:00

Sorry about that. I fixed the WebPlayer link. The WebGL one should work but it takes a long time to load and only works on desktop.

Warrior Of Dragons by Jesse Freeman 2015-08-25T18:14:00

Thanks ruerob for the comment. I'm porting it now to other platforms and cleaning it up. Really pleased with how it came out. I also plan on putting a small delay on the messages before they pop up so you don't have it cut off some much but I noticed that too.

Warrior Of Dragons by Jesse Freeman 2015-08-26T23:48:00

Thanks NIGIC for the feedback. There is actually a minesweeper-like hint system but it's subtle: grass is #0, trees is #1, hill is #2 and mountains is $3. I'll look into the OutOfBoundsException so thanks for pointing that out.

Motherflipin' T-Rex! by mantis 2015-08-26T22:53:00

I don't even know what is going on but I'm a giant dinosaur and I'm smashing everything. Love it!

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Paddle by nucleartide 2015-12-19T23:02:00

Game made me laugh, artwork is bad in a good way. Love that the player explodes when touching the net looking thing in the water. Great job!

Money Roller by Hemuuuli 2015-12-19T23:05:00

Couldn't get it to load :(

Secret of the Little Lamb by bigteddy 2015-12-19T23:05:00

Controls are a little unforgiving. The ghost should be more to the left so you have time to plan your action. Interesting idea though and could be good with more polish. Great job!

Arrow Drift by JPatrick 2015-12-19T23:08:00

Really like this. Great use of the theme. Would love to see it as a finished game! Great job!

The Daring Entrepreneur by zedutchgandalf 2015-12-16T17:10:00

Took me a little bit to figure out what I was supposed to do. Not a fan of clicker games unfortunately. Wish it had a little more feedback as to what was going on when I clicked on stuff. Great job!

BigFish by Conve 2015-12-16T17:02:00

Couldn't play the game. Need to host it.

Zen Roots by nopogo 2015-12-16T17:24:00

Really great concept. Love the idea of the roots growing and you have some control over the direction. Great use of the theme!

Zeptobots by ThreeUp 2015-12-16T17:01:00

Couldn't get the game to connect. Just timed out.

Cosmo Hopper by PlasterPhantom 2015-12-16T17:16:00

Really great concept, like that you used both themes for control and growth. Love when you explode! Great game!

Grow the herd by Jan Peter (jpdev) 2015-12-16T17:07:00

Great take on the theme. Sounds are really funny. Controls felt a little off, especially trying to herd the sheep where you want them to go. Great game!

Yarnland by acidave 2015-12-18T18:18:00

Interesting concept. Great use of the theme. Would love to see more use of keeping one ball behind or playing around with the fact that they can also move out of sync with one another. Great job!

Bellows by TaylorAnderson 2015-12-16T16:54:00

The game is great. My only issue was that using one button to realign the bellow make it way too hard. I'd suggest using left right for direction and maybe having the player auto fire to move up so it's more about timing and anticipating where you want to go. Great job!

Sproutsong by ehgoodenough 2015-12-16T16:48:00

Really love this take on Harvest Moon. Took me a few mins to figured out what I was supposed to do but once I got it it was fun. Great job!

The Lost Wanderer by The Vall 2015-12-18T18:22:00

Wow great concept. Could be a really great game if you develop it more. Only suggestion would be to have the player move on the grid so when you hit a turn button it only happens at the right time, more like pacman, I got stuck on the walls a lot. Great job!

Trellis by max_peabody 2015-12-18T18:24:00

Great graphics and the beginning of a good looking game. Needs better controls and found myself getting stuck on the level geometry a lot. Great job!

Interview at Incredible Inc by EvanEGibbs 2015-12-20T13:30:00

Great take on the theme. I didn't even make it past the first round. Good thing I don't use math in my job :P

Time to eat! by ManuSaiz 2015-12-16T17:12:00

Interesting idea but I wasn't sure when the "right time" was to click. Could use more polish but not bad for 8 hours from scratch. Great job!

An Exponential Problem by LastResortGames 2015-12-19T23:00:00

Interesting concept. Feel like the click area and feedback could be a little better. Get hard when you have some different areas growing. Could mix in some tower defense elements so that growing areas could defend themselves and free you up to helping spread the virus.

Karel by Dry Tree 2015-12-19T22:56:00

Really great take on the theme. Feel like the swapping UI could be clearer but it works once you get used to it. I could see lots of interesting puzzles or even a level editor for this. Great job!

Slaying Runner from Ninjanation by komilll 2015-12-18T18:16:00

Couldn't get past the first jump, should be a little easier when you start out.

Sector 9 by alvaromartin 2015-12-16T16:45:00

Really like the art and the shifting gravity so you walk on the ceiling. By shifting gravity I felt like jumping wasn't really as important so maybe you could use that 2nd action button for something else. Good job!

Software Garden by Karan85 2015-12-18T18:31:00

Really love the design but didn't know what I was doing even after reading the description so I ended up just randomly clicking until I was fire. Could use some more explanation but you may be onto something here. Good job!

Grow Big and Go Home by MikeTsunami 2015-12-16T16:50:00

Love the concept and the music is perfect. Really great idea to use the "dna" to grow the abilities of the player. Nice work!

Geometric Battle by Indie L 2015-12-16T17:22:00

Interesting use of the theme. Needs a little more visual feedback on what I'm doing when I collide with a bad guy or they are taking life off. Maybe some direction on what to do next when you first start out. But other than that a fun little game. Great job!

Rescue Longboat by Astusvis 2015-12-16T17:04:00

Love the concept of rowing the boat with the two buttons. You should make the boat crash to end the game. Also like how the people you rescue start building houses. Great game!

Kingdom By The Sea by Jesse Freeman 2015-12-15T03:38:00

Good point. I'll probably do that when I clean up the game over the next few weeks. Thanks for the feedback!

Kingdom By The Sea by Jesse Freeman 2015-12-15T15:35:00

Mike, glad you liked my Lynda courses and I was thinking of turning something like this into a book. Probably too complex for videos but I love making strategy games like this. Good luck with your own game, I'll be sure to check it out!

Kingdom By The Sea by Jesse Freeman 2015-12-16T16:43:00

Warboys, nice to see you again and thanks for playing. I noticed that plagues come up way too often. Also I have to tweak the way people work when building and having a surplus of food so you can grow quicker. Thanks for the feedback!

Kingdom By The Sea by Jesse Freeman 2015-12-16T17:26:00

nopogo & bocodillo I have it on my list to make it a bit easier and you can skip the dialogs so that goes by faster. Thanks.

Indie L thanks for the feedback on the art. 2DHeroes did it and I just re-used it from my last LD game ;)

Choo Choo by Madball 2015-12-18T18:27:00

Interesting use of the theme. Really like the idea here and could see it being a deeper game. I'd suggestion allowing the player to hit left or right ahead of a turn and flip the signal switch to make it easier to move. Felt like I wasn't able to get the turns correctly when I tried. Great job!

Another Dragon by GeorgeBroussard 2015-12-16T01:50:00

Really love the graphics. Once you get used to the way the character jumps it's good but I died a lot. I really like the multi-screen approach, very nice!

Growcoon by alek345 2015-12-16T16:59:00

Had a really hard time figuring out what to do. Could be a good concept but really needs more hand holding in the beginning so it's clear how to get started. Great work!
