LD30 — Connected Worlds

Galactic Pest Control by HeyChinaski 2014-08-25T02:47:00

Oh my gosh this game is so glitchy and insane and FUN. I really like how when you get ensnared in a web the spiders immediately bear down on you. I also like the messages when the planets get saved :P

30 World by dokidoki 2014-08-25T03:05:00

The graphics and audio put me off at the very beginning with their simplicity, but in truth the gameplay is very interesting. I've never even thought of combining sliding tile puzzles with getting to a destination AND moving the same way in two different spaces. Nice work.

Connected Sphere by mess110 2014-08-25T16:26:00

This was super weird :P I liked the poem, I've never seen another game do something like that. The rest of it was...not very original, but the concept itself kept me going.

devoid by Jake Coxon 2014-08-25T04:52:00

oh man this is by far my favorite ludum dare game. i dont know how you managed to make that so polished in terms of both gameplay and aesthetic so quickly but i commend you for it.

Zoo Hypothesis by NikSG 2014-08-25T03:59:00

I'm not sure I was able to figure out some of the interactions between the systems, but I did enjoy it!

Circular Logic by Benn 2014-08-25T02:34:00

I really liked the mechanics in concept, and there were some really cool ideas presented, but I often found the gravity just too hard to parse well enough to make good decisions on where to jump

Suburban Garden by Ian MacLarty 2014-08-25T17:24:00

to wolfmother: itch.io solicits donations automatically unless you switch a setting in your game's edit page.

Super Interplanetary Space-Internet Saving Company Deluxe Task Force Adventure by SnoringFrog 2014-08-25T03:51:00

I do like that there's a story in this one :P. At first I thought the puzzle mechanics were gonna be pretty standard, but you mixed it up sufficiently later on. Overall, pretty good!

Escape This Place by Demorro 2014-08-25T03:11:00

I started playing this game not realizing you could use regular movement with the arrow keys, I was playing with just changing gravity--and I almost liked it better that way, until I got to turrets :P Anyways, nice game!

Yonumbo by Jhelle 2014-08-25T02:21:00

really like the simplicity of the concept that leads to devilish puzzles right away. very nice.

Lunaform by disdanes 2014-08-25T03:00:00

I wish there was some way to influence the way the stars move. Right now the early game (which I never got past) feels like just a lot of waiting around for stars to hit. I really like the art and the other parts of it, which makes it a shame that the planet building aspect is sorta dull :/

Her by GreenyUk 2014-08-25T03:41:00

I like the concept, especially how you tied narrative and gameplay, but after two levels of mostly one dimensional platforming I gave up. I think you have something good here, but it started too slow to grab my attention

Iter Bellum Deus by Piscythe 2014-08-25T21:59:00

I really, really liked this. I was not a big fan of the art style, but after playing the first level a few times to get a hang of the game, I was hooked. This is an excellent game.

Space Vikings by sharpcoder 2014-08-25T02:55:00

Took me a while to figure out what I was doing...even then, I found myself with almost always just the one decision to launch a raid, until I eventually backed myself into a corner and died. I feel like with some balancing and more decisions, this game could be really good.

Linker by Digiraze 2014-08-25T16:33:00

I liked the graphics, I liked the general concept, but the scoring system kinda perplexed me. Also I had to mute it because that high pitched sound when you expand a wormhole was hurting my hears. Other than that I thought it was really clever!

the static speaks my name by idovingx 2014-08-25T03:17:00

I really liked it :)

The Crossover Episode by Valon487 2014-08-25T03:21:00

For a first game this is really good! The movement was a bit stiff on the character but movement didnt happen that often so I was alright with it. Liked the music, liked the writing, overall pretty good game

Interplanetary Defense Alliance by TaylorAnderson 2014-08-25T21:35:00

I didn't test it enough (not a whole lot of time in the compo :P) so I didn't realize the enemy-ship ratio is totally offbalance, so yeah you do tend to run out of shapes a lot

Interplanetary Defense Alliance by TaylorAnderson 2014-08-27T21:43:00

tbamberg--running out of resources was the big problem i didn't have time to solve before the time ran out :( the way i ended up solving it mostly (there's a post-jam version of the game on itch.io)was by just making ships appear about twice as often and carry resources depending on the deficiency of resources in the game.

Interplanetary Defense Alliance by TaylorAnderson 2014-09-02T18:31:00

Controls I changed in the post-jam version, now you drag from a resource icon on one planet to another planet to transfer that resource. Cargo ships bringing money is something I never considered, that's probably a good idea. If planets could produce money, though, ships might not even be necessary...

As for planets autoshooting, I had that in at the beginning but it was kind of boring. I'm not sure I would want to put it back in unless I was sure the game could survive without it

Fire & Ice by NnelGdaBandit 2014-08-25T02:39:00

I really like this! The graphics (specifically the tiles) put me off at first glance, but I took a chance on it and was not disappointed. I really liked having to micromanage turret placement to deal with the oncoming threats, though I'm not sure how the game handles which turret is placed where when I click on an unoccupied tile. Other than that though, awesome game!

Third Law by smugbit 2014-08-25T03:46:00

The first game I played I was confused as to how you could lose, and I lasted a long time. Every game after that...not so much. I like the concept!

Connected We Run by Sandcrawler 2014-08-25T16:15:00

Like the jumping mechanics, but the game should be way faster. I found myself quitting out of boredom unfortunately :(

TETHER by datacr4sh 2014-08-25T02:17:00

this is really cool. i like the balancing act of trying to get each player high enough to overcome the obstacles by getting a momentum going. i also really like the death sequence :P

Solar Buddies by BunkeyInteractive 2014-08-25T16:54:00

I like the game's art and music, but I found it really hard to judge where the rocks were coming from and press the corresponding button, even after several runs

Waterfly Octus by gillenew 2014-08-25T04:02:00

I really liked how you made different sealife represent different obstacles like spikes. I'm always a sucker for good pixelart, in general :P. I found movement a bit slow, but everything else was awesome

PRISM by rantt 2014-08-25T16:21:00

I really liked this! The graphics didnt grab me at first, but they're charming in their own weird way :P. I really liked the different rules in each worlds. I feel like you could go farther than this, by presenting the same challenge but having to use different rules to progress. My only complaint is that yellow world is too easy, but other than that its a pretty solid game :P

A Sneeze A Day Keeps The Crates Away by Draknek 2014-08-25T02:32:00

I get bested by puzzle games fairly quickly, but I liked the humor an innovation of the idea!

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Aaron San Filippo, Raphael Azcueta, Forest San Filippo by Aaron San Filippo 2014-12-10T16:52:00

Other than dang Sticky Keys turning on because I was pressing my shift button too fast, this is really fun!

Santa Saves Christmas by BitDemon 2014-12-09T03:47:00

I like the graphics, but I ended up dying endlessly, seemingly at random, so I kinda gave up.

The Cubenator by Kuupu 2014-12-09T00:47:00

I like the concept, but after a while there were some pretty frequent frame drops. Also, I wish health were over the player's heads so I could get a better feel of when I'm about to die, without having to look all the way at the top of the screen.

Color Code by TaylorAnderson 2014-12-12T18:07:00

yeah, i only realized that after releasing the game :P oh well!

Color Code by TaylorAnderson 2014-12-13T03:23:00

This was the first puzzle game I've ever made, so I do agree, I kinda totally forgot to add a little bit of character to it.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Don't Mess With Totems by winesays 2015-12-15T17:12:00

oh man this was amazing. i have no idea how you made such stunning art in 72 hours, and then made a pretty good (if simple) game on top of that. bravo.

Hybris by Benjamin 2015-12-15T01:23:00

oh man this was fantastic. took me a while to figure out what was going on but man was this a well-designed game

Lands of TSR Lore by Christina Antoinette Neofotistou 2015-12-15T16:37:00

i definitely see the potential in a dungeon crawler with really great pixelart and a fairly-simple battle system.
my recommendation would be to keep going with it, at least for a little while.

Bellows by TaylorAnderson 2015-12-16T03:49:00

hello! yes i do, at @ttl_anderson.

Bellows by TaylorAnderson 2015-12-16T05:14:00

it takes a little practice, but you can get the hang of it eventually!

Snowballin' by Frenchie 2015-12-16T05:49:00

loved this game. my only wish would be that the game scale more to my ball's size. in the early game i felt it almost impossible to get going, but in the late game i basically couldnt be stopped. really great game though! gotta love those low-poly graphics.

itch by fasterthanlime 2015-12-15T18:31:00

so glad this has finally come out. itch.io is a fantastic website and i'm so happy that its now a fantastic app.

Holiday Rejects by local306 2015-12-15T22:20:00

great game. simple but challenging, funny, original...everything i want from a ludum dare game

Root Dungeon by Tasgardyen 2015-12-15T04:16:00

I really liked the lowpoly style, and in general I think the battle system has some potential, but the game is too complicated I think--it would've been better to reinvest some of that development time into making the battle system more robust/less buggy. I liked it though!

Poultry Punt by diest 2015-12-15T03:13:00

this game was really good! i liked how it really incentivized you to smash on the s key but then had to time the k press correctly to actually hit the chicken, so using two fingers to smash became this really interesting timing game.

The Pits of Mazow by Azor1 2015-12-15T17:01:00

i really liked the mechanic, i felt like the character movement was a little too slow.

Belly Smash by Drunkain 2015-12-16T04:35:00

oh man. i can see this being one of the winners of the whole thing. really hilarious, and REALLY fun.

Snow World by Elisée and friends 2015-12-15T05:04:00

this game was so coooool. the graphics were fantastic, best pixelart i've seen so far in this jam. and i love the timing-based rpg mechanics, not to mention the 5-second fire-sale shopkeeper. fantastic jam game.
