LD23 — Tiny World

Le Petit by Pixelulsar 2012-04-24T23:40:00

Really enjoyed this. The simplicity and the great graphics kept me focused despite how challenging it was. Unfortunately the bit with the spikes and the hoops was to hard for me and I couldn't get any further :(

Astro Gardener by HeyChinaski 2012-04-23T22:50:00

Thanks everyone. I figured the arrows would do in place of a map which may have made it too easy (also I thought they'd be quicker to code). The aliens are definitely a bit overpowered. If I work more on the game I'll add some more enemies, some cool power ups, improve the graphics and performance and add some more greenery to the planets.

Kamikaze Planet by Monomer 2012-04-23T22:13:00

Looks great and the sound is cool too. A nice mechanic although I felt like it gets difficult to quickly. Perhaps I'm just playing badly though!

World Gone Wrong by arhpositive 2012-04-23T22:47:00

Nice idea. I like the way you can "cheat" the maze by shooting, sometimes that feels really great. It would be great if there was more of a feeling of skill. If I got through a level quickly it felt more like dumb luck than an achievement. Really enjoyed it though, very clever.

Tiny Garden of Hope by steamgirl 2012-05-01T23:14:00

Great atmosphere, looks awesome and sounds nice too. I would have enjoyed it more if it was a little more complex and longer but still good job!

Before The Big Bang by ragnister 2012-04-30T19:19:00

A solid implementation but could have done with some instructions.

Galactic Taxi by remeh 2012-05-01T20:27:00

Ah! I have linux but it's 32 bit and I don't have the allegro libraries. :(

LD25 — You are the Villain

Super Space Goat Thief Standoff!! by Jezzamon 2012-12-19T20:12:00

Great graphics. I liked the extra hits you could get from the ricochets.

Spread by mailman105 2012-12-18T01:56:00

It was fun burning down the trees!

Invasion of the Replicators by JesterBLUE 2012-12-19T21:57:00

Loved the concept, never come across an idea like this. The dilemma between reproducing and shooting was very real although I suppose a more complex game is required to explore this further. There was no real cost to replicating too much or too little other than it taking longer to defeat the station.

Tourist Trap by HeyChinaski 2012-12-19T20:53:00

I fixed some issues with sound, the music should go away when you close the tab now. However I think the sound may not work for some on Mac.

A Game of Pirates by homelinen 2012-12-31T02:33:00

Pretty incomplete but I could see where it was going. I think it should only be possible to turn the ship when you are moving it forward, otherwise you can just stay in one place and shoot everything (that or limit the length the cannonballs fly).

Dark Dream by eShredder 2012-12-19T20:39:00

Looked great and an awesome idea with the lights. I usually find exploring large arbitrary platform levels a bit dull but this one kept my attention pretty well. The light's movements had a threatening, malevolent quality which I enjoyed. Good work on the sounds as well.

Fugitive X by frosty 2013-01-05T18:04:00

Great style and clever gameplay. Well done!

Woodcut Ted by rujo 2012-12-18T01:18:00

That pesky Ranger! Very fun to play and nice graphics.

We Meet Again, Mr. Mond! by Luis Anton 2012-12-19T20:24:00

Great idea, very funny. A simplistic mechanic but a fun game. Wonderful drawings of the villain.

Big Bad Wolf by Dir3kt 2013-01-05T17:51:00

Fantastic, really enjoyed it. The whole thing looks great and the gameplay is quite compulsive. Controlling the wolf felt a little claustrophobic, something to do with the arc of this jump and the height of the platforms. Great work on the music!

Royal Reptile Rampage by dalbinblue 2013-01-05T17:42:00

Loved it, very, very nice artwork and plenty of variety in the controls/attacks. Sound is good too. Perhaps the controls/gameplay could do with a bit of tuning. The power meter is a challenging mechanic but ducking and waiting for it to refill (as there's rarely anything left alive to eat) is a frustrating experience. Overall really solid entry though. The dragon animation is particularly strong.

War'Asaal by Griz 2013-01-05T17:23:00

Nice work on the animation of the sprites, particularly the wizard guy. Music was great too. This would have been better if the enemies got stronger over time and you slowly gained the spells rather than have them all along. I assume that's what you were aiming for, had you had more time.

Villain OS 8 by tommycreo 2012-12-18T01:48:00

I really liked the way I was controlling two hands with one mouse. That worked far more intuitively than I though it possibly could. Nice graphics and sound too!

PsyGoat by SecondDimension 2012-12-18T01:28:00

The laser was very satisfying!

The Fall of the Shapes Father by WiseGAMER 2012-12-18T18:50:00

I liked the wall jump once I figured it out.

Make It Black by zenmumbler 2012-12-19T21:48:00

Who knew spewing bile everywhere could be such fun! Cute graphics, the way the landscape was affected reminded me of Terraria and I think I caught a Minecraft reference with the diamonds in the rocks at the end? Very cool.

YOU are the villain by Husky 2012-12-18T18:58:00

Nice overall concept and a clever use of the mouse for quick time events.

Runner of a viod by Badrpas 2012-12-19T22:33:00

Wow, very challenging. At first it seemed impossible but after a while I got the hang of it and it was pretty fun. The lack of a left key is a great idea although the fact that you don't respawn in a safe place makes an already tough game a bit unforgiving.

Prison Escape by Tyren 2012-12-19T21:33:00

Nice game. Pretty tricky. Interesting that it was rarely worth grabbing the jetpack.

Ninox the Nightbringer by Dining Philosopher 2013-01-05T20:18:00

2331 steps. Very clever idea and good execution. Perhaps could have done with a bit more variety as the levels went on.

Cursed Temple by SirJson 2012-12-19T20:59:00

Nice work. I liked the "King of the Hill" gameplay style.

Colorful by suve 2012-12-19T21:11:00

Nice consistent graphical style. Very hard, particularly with the enemies respawning on re-entry to a room. Not sure how to open the doors?

Carnage by SXPanda 2012-12-18T01:53:00

Impressive 3d. I wish there was a rating for technical merit.

Feline Homicide by OU GDA 2013-01-05T20:24:00

Looks great, not sure I understood the gameplay though. I didn't last longer than maybe 10 seconds each time.

Here be Dragn by doos 2012-12-20T23:29:00

Great work on the guitar track! I liked the look of the dragon although the guys attacking him could perhaps do with a bit of work/variety.

Miniman vs Dr. Malificius by master4523 2012-12-19T22:03:00

A very tricky concept to pull off butyou did a pretty good job of it. A bit on the easy side, the hero always seem to die at the same place but good fun nonetheless.

Atomic Creep Spawner!! by deepnight 2012-12-18T18:45:00

Great work! Looks and sounds fantastic and a solid implementation of the idea.

The World is Mine! by matthias_zarzecki 2012-12-20T23:23:00

Loved the Deathrigible!

A Maze Game by hannardynamite 2013-01-05T20:30:00

Nice simple maze game. Well done.

Dungeon Inc. by Encircle 2012-12-19T22:20:00

Nice idea. Perhaps you could limit the number of minions one can spawn at a time otherwise the game gets a bit crazy quite fast.

Nebula Marauders by wally2069 2012-12-31T02:24:00

Nice idea, really liked being the boss at the end. It might have been a bit more fun if it was faster and tougher but overall a pretty solid entry.

You are the Villain by kampfdengel 2012-12-19T22:27:00

Very nice pixel art on some of the characters. A bit glitchy but I liked the idea of the potato thief. The cloud shadows were a nice touch that added depth.

Educational Tractor Kingdom by Darkfrost 2012-12-20T23:57:00

Nice work. Took me a while to work out how to use the laser and play level 2 without dying immediately but it was great fun. Looked and sounded great too.

Pirate Scum by Diventurer 2012-12-19T21:22:00

Pirates are the best villains! Nice idea. Would have been better without the bugs and I think it would have been more fun albeit less realistic if the ships were a lot faster.

Psycho Santa by huga 2012-12-21T00:08:00

The hosting is down but the game works fine if you download the zip file, extract it and open main.html in a browser.

I enjoyed the building up my little empire although I think I would have been able to do it without instruction if each button had a cost suggesting how much it cost to build. Then it might have been fun to work out the build tree myself. Nice work on the tree graphics.

LD26 — Minimalism

Land of the Free by uberneen 2013-04-29T04:07:00

Interesting. I was approved for reintegration. I did try very hard to be a good citizen.

Buggers! by recursor 2013-04-29T17:52:00

Nice work! It was perhaps a bit too tough to kill the bugs because of the spray reload time though.

Unfinished Cube by Mega1mpact 2013-05-14T23:10:00

Great work! Nice original concept and a good execution. I wasn't a fan of the jump left and then immediately right trick but otherwise I really enjoyed this.

Pilot & Command by HeyChinaski 2013-04-29T15:54:00

Thanks everyone. @kreddor Was that in the applet? I think I had that happen to me too. Could you try downloading it.

@finefin I've rebuilt the jar in Java 6 so it should work on macs now (no music though :( )

One fine morning our machines are gonna cut us down by netmute 2013-04-29T17:45:00

Nice, fun little game. After a while I worked out how to win more often than lose. You're right, the key is to click fast. Also try not to click things more than once.

MULTIVAC by Nikteddy92 2013-04-29T17:57:00

Quirky. Good job :)

XYZ by ataxkt 2013-04-29T04:16:00

Great concept. I think the lack of perspective cues such as texture/shadows on the objects was the key to the puzzle. Looked and sounded great too. Very rapid fire, sometimes I didn't know if I was just stumbling on the answers or if my brain was subconsciously figuring them out.

Exception by Moebius 2013-04-29T13:33:00

I like the aesthetic on the buildings, pavements and grass caused by the gridlines and the varying shades. Very nice. Took me a while to notice the red eyes on the bad guys.

Invasion by KR-Eddie 2013-04-29T22:43:00

Wow nice game. Looks great and plays really smooth. I could have done with a bit more firepower as I wasn't much good.

Pixel Dust (LD26) by swizzcheez 2013-04-29T17:11:00

Nice mechanic. The time limit was perhaps a little strict, or maybe I'm a bit slow? :) Maybe an undo button would help

Tale of MiniMale by finefin 2013-04-29T14:48:00

Pretty disturbing but very funny. Nice work on the sound too.

Bouncy Ball Extreme by Ray_Mickelino 2013-04-29T22:07:00

Really, really nice concept! Is it original? If so I'd really like to see this go on to be a much more ambitious project - ditch the minimalist graphics, throw in some more platforming ideas. I like how things got more interesting as you progress because of elements like key/doors and moving blocks. Some levels felt like a sonic bonus level and I spotted the Mario reference. It must have been tough to get the collision detection right with the ball moving so fast. Great work!

Way of the cuburai by comrad_gremlin 2013-04-29T18:24:00

Nice minimalistic characters.

OggOrbis by Michael Hall 2013-04-29T22:20:00

At first it just felt like a matter of luck but when I realised that each click was repeatable and deterministic(?) I realised that there was some minimalistic skill to the game. The game had a nice, consistent visual aesthetic too. Great work.

MiniMaul by CloudiestNights 2013-05-02T23:16:00

I can tell you put a lot of thought into the level generation. The jumping and shooting is very fluid. I found it quite hard because of the one hit death but I suppose that was the point. Nice work!

In the dark by jontturi 2013-05-14T22:23:00

Some nice solid platform physics. I enjoyed playing it.

Mini Circle Wars by kreddor 2013-04-29T17:26:00

Nice minimalistic mechanic. My top score was 5270.

Mini Circle Wars by kreddor 2013-04-29T17:34:00

Got a slightly better score 7250. I wonder if with the right balance of harvesters/cannons and upgrades it's possible to continue indefinitely.

Jejeboy: Baby Volleyball by Jejeboy 2013-05-14T22:57:00

Good sound and a nice visual style. Would be great to see the mechanic taken further with power ups, more things to juggle etc.

Barren Universe by Tom Gardiner 2013-04-29T16:35:00

Very nice little game. Great graphics and the gameplay was fun. I liked how slowly you grew. It meant your size would creep up on you.

Stem by KevinLaity 2013-05-19T21:43:00

Looked great and sounded awesome. Apart from when the mouse went out of the game the controls were nice and fluid too. Great game!

One Space Away by Kiwiboi 2013-04-29T16:53:00

Nice models, particularly good animation on the super hero :)

Get The Potato by invaderJim 2013-04-29T23:06:00

Wow. Incredibly fun and really, really nice all around. Hilarious too! Loved it. Great job.

THATBEACH by CTATZ 2013-04-29T16:40:00

Nice work on the art.

QbQbQb by rezoner 2013-04-29T03:59:00

Wow, really beautiful game. Awesome sound, music and graphics (I loved the scanlines and the butterflies). The improving music as my score went up was really satisfying. Perhaps the gameplay could have been a bit more challenging. After a few practice attempts I just could not die. I gave up at around 1500 because not much more seemed to be happening. Overall though great work.

The Killer by AlvaroH 2013-04-29T18:02:00

Ha. Those bigger guys scared me to death when they first appeared.

Square Quest by duskpn 2013-04-29T04:43:00

Nice work. Incredible how a few pixels can suggest a coastline, a forest or even a zombie! The forests were my favourite part, felt a bit like Monkey Island.

28 Pixels by TobiasL 2013-05-02T23:06:00

Great fun. Very creative and the gameplay was well balanced. Very replayable.

Minimalist Horror Story by MinionStudios 2013-05-14T22:32:00

Good atmosphere. Really creepy.

WORDHUNTER by gerritg 2013-04-29T18:09:00

Good concept, well implemented. Could do with some better feedback when you submit a correct word. A bit too hard as well.

SquareRoot by Masadow 2013-04-29T18:19:00

Excellent work! Suited the theme perfectly and was very fun to play. One of my favourites so far. A few simple mechanics can go a long way. Great pacing of the main guy.

The Paper Concord by zanzindorf 2013-05-03T00:08:00

Very unique game in terms of visuals and mechanics. I liked it a lot. Couldn't quite finish the last level :( I wasn't good enough. Good job!

ShrunkenAdventures by FuzzyWuzzie 2013-05-02T23:34:00

Great game. I loved the graphics, they looked great considering you used so few colors. The physics of the pixel were spot on and really fun to play with. The signs were very funny and the idea of playing as a pixel fitted the theme perfectly. Well done!

A-Void by kingsman142 2013-04-29T21:36:00

Nice piano and a nice aesthetic. It was pretty tough so see the blocks until the last second. I guess that's the minimalism theme at work.

Platformer '81 by foyosoft 2013-04-29T03:13:00

Worked fine for me on 64-bit Windows. I really enjoyed this and thought it had a great aesthetic. I have to admit I haven't finished it yet as it's quite hard. There seems to be a disconnect between the blocky contiguous rendering of the characters and the more continuous physics of it's movement. It's simultaneously frustrating and compelling. I'll definitely be coming back to try again to complete it.

[My little game][+ or -] by Toinane 2013-04-29T21:32:00

Great start. For a beginner this is pretty solid.

Potato The Destroyer by Cory Martin 2013-04-29T15:59:00

Really really nice pixel art. Very hard game though. I didn't finish it I'm afraid.

Cruxton by twelveplusplus 2013-05-14T22:50:00

Nice work on the sound and music! The ships look pretty great too. I found it quite tough from the start, perhaps there could be less ships moving slower at the start?

Path Breaker by kyru 2013-05-14T22:40:00

Cool game. It's nice to see an original concept.

Lightbyrinth by siondream 2013-04-29T22:32:00

Great game. Nice minimalistic sound and music, the lighting mechanic was impressive. Usually I find exploring a maze in the dark tedious but I think you offset that by making the guy (blue ball) nice and fast. Would have felt even smoother if the walls were frictionless. Nice work!

Cage's Ghost by headchant 2013-04-29T17:01:00

Lovely graphics and sound. A really clever concept, although it resulted in a really tough learning curve.

Shp Shft Mz by rzfmzn 2013-05-03T00:14:00

Nice idea. Good minimalist design. Slightly hampered by some control bugs near the end and could have been a bit longer. Nice work.

Screaming Cubes by Shigor 2013-04-29T03:39:00

I like the stylized textures on the terrain and the ships. The AI was perhaps a little to good on the ships, they could fly and shoot a lot better than I could!

Battery by onzephyr 2013-04-29T04:57:00

Fantastic concept and a really beautiful game. I can imagine you wishing you could do this as a child when your Gameboy batteries ran out.

Mr. Minimal by sP0CkEr2 2013-05-19T21:56:00

Nice graphics and music.

Minimalist Moe by davidwparker 2013-05-14T22:45:00

Nice shooter. It's perfectly minimalist although I think a little more sophistication wouldn't have gone amiss. Some powerups perhaps.

Shoot (AAA_FPS_GOTY) by quill18 2013-04-29T03:24:00

Love the sounds. Sometimes I wish that there was a voting metric for technical accomplishment because this is quite impressive. Network code and Bot AI in a Ludum Dare Entry. It was fun to duck out of mayhem of coding my own entry to watch quill18's livestream every once in a while.

First, You Take A Potato by KevinZuhn 2013-04-29T16:08:00

I had to read the comments to realise that there was an alternative to taking a potato. Very clever and suitably minimal. Gorgeous graphics too.

Professor Power and Powerbot by HeyChinaski 2013-08-26T03:54:00

@everblind Which browser/OS?

Professor Power and Powerbot by HeyChinaski 2013-08-26T04:15:00

@theholychicken That was the last level!

Flajora's Flask by Cosmologicon 2013-08-26T17:27:00

A good interpretation of the theme and nice sound.

A Square Of Space And Time by PTSnoop 2013-08-27T21:52:00

I won. Nice concept, well implemented. It's a shame you didn't have time to put the final polish in.

10 Second Defense by tomsik68 2013-08-26T17:00:00

Funny end screen :)

SliP by Sakuyan 2013-08-26T03:12:00

Loved this, well done. Beautiful graphics and great sound. The gameplay was unforgiving but it was worth persevering.

Boxer's Seconds by madk 2013-08-26T17:14:00

Clever twist on the theme! Crashed once while I was making my notes. I just tried guessing after that. Anyone got any tips on how to quickly parse that much info? I enjoyed squashing the bugs.

Time Bomb by rephus 2013-08-26T15:51:00

I got on the scoreboard! ... just!

Saloon Shoot Out by alycarter 2013-08-26T17:50:00

Very clever. Like a less hectic, more considered Frozen Synapse. I liked the super chunky pixel art too. Ducking out from behind a wall, shooting someone and ducking back was super fun and felt really cool even though it was happening really slowly. The run mechanic was genius. Getting stuck on the walls sucked a bit.

Sundial by Recursiveanomaly 2013-08-26T02:42:00

Great music, very dramatic. The game achieved a real sense of atmosphere. I particularly liked the writing on the floor. It was a nice way to guide you through the game. I think a little more work on the combat system is required. It's currently a little tricky to hit the enemies. I couldn't get past the ghosts after you find the light for your sword.

The Ten Ten Seconders by Subi 2013-08-26T15:43:00

Pretty fun. Hiding in the corner sometimes helped.

Meowfinity and Beyond by Cryovat 2013-08-26T23:21:00

Really awesome graphics and I'm enjoying the story and gameplay so far. I want to keep playing but I can't get past the bit where there's a thin strip of blue and that takes you into a thicker bit. I can't work out how to avoid getting sucked up by it. Anyone got any tips?

Meowfinity and Beyond by Cryovat 2013-08-26T23:30:00

Never mind, I got it. *feels dumb*

Meowfinity and Beyond by Cryovat 2013-08-26T23:42:00

That was brilliant!

A Simple But Fuckin'Die & Retry Game ! by Tipyx 2013-08-26T16:53:00

I liked it but I think I would have enjoyed it more if the player didn't get stuck on the wall.

10 Sec Glut by Shivers 2013-08-26T03:46:00

My high score was about half my recommended daily allowance. Not bad for 10 seconds! Nice artwork.

Ten Second Dungeon by Jimanzium 2013-09-04T21:38:00

Ten-Second Postman by tombsar 2013-08-27T22:00:00

Nice low res art. A fun game. Got to level 18. I found I was more limited by how fast and accurately I could click rather than what route I chose. Not that that's a bad thing but it would also have been fun to plan out the route beforehand on the later levels and see if the guy could make it round in time.

Chrono Blood Ninja by theholychicken 2013-08-26T04:17:00

Pulling off a a double jump and then slicing though a bunch of enemies was very satisfying. Great work. I'm not as good at it as you are in your video.

Vacuous by Rhinoceros 2013-08-26T03:24:00

Nice solid enjoyable shooter. Very replayable. I need to beet boss 2! I like the graphical style as well.

Vacuous by Rhinoceros 2013-08-26T03:25:00

er ... beat not beet :)

Five By Five by cy4n 2013-08-26T02:59:00

Nice graphics, I like the knight. It was very hard. I think my record was 4 floors.

Frictionless Fury by elementz123 2013-08-26T15:36:00

Nice idea and a solid implementation. Making us start from the beginning each time was brutal but I finished eventually!

10 Seconds to Loot ALL the Things by Muznak 2013-08-26T16:44:00

A lot of fun and pretty tricky. I scored 95, perhaps I should have been more daring. Nice work on the sprites and sound.

The Lost Robos by almightyzentaco 2013-09-04T22:00:00

Really clever mechanic and great puzzles. Looks fantastic too, love the gears in the background and the intro.

Save the forest! by everblind 2013-08-26T03:53:00

There has to be a better way to put out forest fires! Very nice graphics.

Seamless by evilentity 2013-08-26T14:57:00

Nice sprite. I like what happens when the timer expires! I had to wait still for it to expire though so it's maybe a bit easy to make the time limit.

Freeze Box by SamC 2013-08-27T22:25:00

Loved this one! Very frustrating but really addictive and fun. Such a clever concept. Absorbing the other boxes for more time really made the game much deeper than it could have been.

Valdo by DvigubaiPiktas 2013-08-26T16:35:00

Great game and very clever. If there is some reference to the theme perhaps you could make it more explicit?

Antidote by Antidote 2013-08-27T21:27:00

Great work. Looks and sounds fantastic and the gameplay is super smooth.

Explore10 by mokesmoe 2013-08-26T02:51:00

Nice visual style and very smooth gameplay. I like how the extra abilities were revealed.

Time Hack by quill18 2013-08-27T21:38:00

Surprisingly compulsive. Nice work given your were on a plane. My high score was 9300.

Space Demolition by Suese by Suese 2013-08-26T03:42:00

Great fun. I enjoyed balancing my use of each tool (once I learned not to drop one too far from home). How far do you have to get away from the reactor? I thought I got pretty far, but not far enough apparently. Nice graphics.

Moonlight Running by ncannasse 2013-08-26T15:07:00

Great fun, a really clever mechanic and very nice graphics. The boss was very clever.

LD28 — You Only Get One

Singulus by HeyChinaski 2013-12-17T23:32:00

Thanks for playing and commenting everyone!

@hogjed the number of players depends on how many people are online at once. Perhaps I should have enforced a maximum of around 4.

@AtomicVikings It is a multiplayer, did you only get to fight bots?

Singulus by HeyChinaski 2013-12-18T10:08:00

@methampetabear Thanks. It is multiplayer, just get someone else to open the game in their browser.

Str1ngle by Zanzlanz 2013-12-17T23:00:00

Nice work! I like the concept. I loved the music, it was fantastic and the power ups were very satisfying. I'd like to know how you generated the (procedural?) trippy background.

Str1ngle by Zanzlanz 2013-12-17T23:35:00

Thanks Zanzlanz! Will check it out

Conformance by lordjosephdeburg 2013-12-17T21:29:00

Really nice graphical style. I liked the buses :) Nice work.

But You Want One More by spx 2013-12-30T15:24:00

Really nice idea and great fun. Looks great too. The rotating got a bit much, perhaps it would have been better to find another way to increase the difficulty?

Just One More Turn (Please!) by Ithildin 2013-12-17T21:47:00

I really liked the hand drawn style of the backgrounds? A nice simple mechanic well implemented. Nice work :)
Were there only 3 levels or did it crash on me? I played through twice.

Doki Doggie by Husky 2013-12-30T15:00:00

Great mechanic. The pixel art on the dog is very good.

YOGO RocketFist by _Rilem 2013-12-20T17:01:00

Congratulations. Great game. Really enjoyed the mechanic of the fist. It was very satisfying when hits chained together. The art, sound and music were all top notch and complemented each other very well.
The sprites and environment are gorgeous and have a very authentic style without resorting to low res pixel art.
I would have preferred if the powerups were random drops that lasted for a small amount of time. When I upgraded to the drill I resented having to start over and I missed the original mechanic. Overall excellent work though.

You Only Have One Minute by Somfunambulist 2013-12-17T21:23:00

Great looking and a nice idea. Couldn't figure out how to win though.

Double Cannon by michail 2013-12-17T21:35:00

What a great idea, I really felt as if I was learning a totally new skill. Nice work on the music too :)

YOGO - The Detective Story by psc1997 2013-12-30T14:28:00

Nice work on the character drawings. Game play was a little linear but the story was consistent.

ØNCΞ IF ØUND ΛPILL (ONCE I FOUND A PILL) by methamphetabear 2013-12-20T15:36:00

Ha! Very clever, took me a loooong time to figure out. Looks and sounds terrific. Great atmosphere.

Technically impressive.

One Wing by theholychicken 2013-12-20T15:53:00

Fun little story.

Candy Runner by AtomicVikings 2013-12-17T22:40:00

Neat idea, it took me a long time to get the hang of the key changes. Really impressive art and sound. I like the parallax scrolling.

White-Hat-Guy by Gaspard_ 2013-12-17T21:57:00

That was surreal. The backgrounds were really cool.

Discount Santa Saves Christamas by tinykidtoo 2013-12-18T00:01:00

Fiendishly difficult but worth persevering with! Some of most fun I've had out of all the games I've seen. A very well balanced platformer, my favourite kind :) I loved Santa's face when jumping.

Only One World by j_stirk 2013-12-17T22:30:00

The tile based layout and map put me in mind of dwarf fortress. Impressively ambitious but I couldn't save the world :(

G by Sean Noonan 2013-12-23T23:01:00

Nice idea, it's a shame it wasn't longer :)

Fever Blue by Raiyumi 2013-12-17T23:28:00

What a fantastic color scheme and great artwork! The colors and the floating islands reminded me of Fez. Really enjoyed the style and the concept. Exploring the world was really fun. Unfortunately I managed to get stuck :( On the bit where there are 2 blue barriers surrounding a diamond(?) I managed to come in from the right and couldn't get out. Did I do something wrong? I had to restart.

The Voyage by hoqjed 2013-12-17T23:44:00

Nice atmosphere. The comments on the planets were really cool.

SPELLBREAKER by jdpalmer 2013-12-17T22:51:00

I guess I should read some more Knuth! I definitely haven't worked out the optimum strategy. This reminds me of the mastermind board game. Nice idea to take it into a turn based battle format. The character design is great.

A Precious Arrow by Benjamin 2013-12-23T23:46:00

Great old school color scheme and art style. Nice music too.

Hamlet by derdragon 2013-12-20T16:24:00

A great idea although a little tedious to keep repeating. The pixel art is fantastic. I loved the "walking" animations! Good job.

One Bullet, One Chance by YellowLime 2013-12-23T22:36:00

Love the black and white low res pixels. Nice work on the animmation too.

Only One: A Gentleman's Game by DrPrettyPatty 2013-12-23T22:24:00

Very funny. Nice art.

Thrust Issues by Gravedrinker 2013-12-20T17:36:00

Great fun. Really clever idea. Looks pretty nice too. I played through both the compo and post version and enjoyed both control styles. I'm on the fence as to which is preferable though. I found the original far more infuriating but enjoyed the challenge. The more intuitive post compo experience was perhaps more fun though.
Nice work :)

ONE.Platformer by Bogden 2013-12-23T23:33:00

Great idea and a lot of fun (and really frustrating!). It would have been nice to see an ending screen, it just looped round to the second level for me.

Legend of Wohne by shard123 2013-12-30T14:51:00

I like the focus on gameplay over sophisticated graphics. It was pretty fun although could have been a little harder. If the controls were a little better (diagonal movement?) it would have been fun to take on a lot more enemies.

The Last Soldier by caribou 2013-12-20T15:45:00

Great fun although I agree level 4 is OP. Nice work on making multiplayer. I like the art style too :)

Shopping Madness by Mago 2013-12-23T22:49:00

Nice work. Fun, fast and hectic gameplay.

Biofuel by Steven Colling 2013-12-17T22:09:00

Nice work on the graphics and the sound. I should have been more careful when planting my seeds! Inside out perhaps? I'm going to have to try again. Good job :)

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

Descent by alyphen 2014-04-30T22:27:00

Wow that was tough. Controlling the droid in those tight spaces was an enticing challenge but as hard as I tried I didn't get very far. I really liked the music.

Friend of the Fisherman by rubna 2014-04-28T22:15:00

Wow, fantastic work. Great concept, perfect for the theme. Really enjoyed playing this. The low res graphics look awesome and the color scheme is spot on. The sound is good too, kudos for the guitar work! My record so far is $410

Contagion by SeriousCreeper 2014-04-28T19:17:00

Nice! You evoked a lot of atmosphere with such simple graphics.

Wriggle Worm by gikdew 2014-04-30T22:45:00

Great fun, looks great. A smart simple idea well implemented. Everything felt nice and fluid. Not sure about that sound when you hit something though :/ My high score so far is 681 :)

Trench War by Deity 2014-04-28T18:45:00

Nice idea for the theme. Killing a guy was very satisfying. Perhaps would have been more fun if there was more fine grained control.

Drill Bill by mactinite 2014-04-28T18:56:00

Cool idea. I really like the graphical style and the mechanic for killing the Tawl was fun. You could consider showing the bestiary at the start of the game as I didn't look at it at first.
It was maybe a little hard, particularly when more than one enemy got together. I never got past wave 2 on any of the environments.

An Osterreich tale, or something about ostriches by Marcellus 2014-04-30T23:22:00

Ha! What a great use of the theme. The head under the sand is a great excuse for the infuriating (but fun) mechanic of turning the world upside down. I felt like getting a piece of paper out to figure it out but that felt like cheating.
I'm afraid I got to the end of the moon level and then the rocket didn't take off :(
Nice background music and hilarious rocket sound btw :)

SunkenTreasure by bakpakin 2014-04-29T12:52:00

Great game! It took me a minute to get accustomed to the control but then it was super fun. It took me 3 or 4 tries but I got the treasure. It was really tense when I found it and got lost heading back. Nice art style too. :)

Call of Shroomy by Robert 2014-04-30T22:32:00

Nice start. Was a bit hard to dodge those bullets (?) as they were too fast and dark. Great work on the main sprite animation. The character control felt really fluid.

Cave Ghost by CodeNMore 2014-04-28T18:40:00

I enjoyed that. A very solid game. The speed of the player vs the ghosts were just right. At first I thought it was too hard but then I figured out a tactic. Clear a corridor that you can lure the ghosts to to fight. Some ghosts would take a lot more hits to kill than others which wasn't fun because you couldn't tell which. Is that by design or because they're bunching up? Other than that nice work!

Global Freezing by oostap 2014-04-28T23:04:00

Gorgeous visuals and fun gameplay. Directing the satellites is very satisfying. Great soind too. A bit short and hard though. Is it possible to save more than 200 people?

Things Change Below by thomshutt 2014-04-28T22:43:00

Can't seem to download the apk :( "This file is too big to show"

Beneath by CareForceOne 2014-04-28T19:22:00

That was tricky. I never thought I'd destroy that demon with my puny sword. Nice work on the player sprite.

PiranhaPlayground by tschery 2014-04-28T22:50:00

Pretty fun. Those buckets are sentient I swear. What terrible childhood event led you to come up with this idea?

Jelly Hugs by Snild 2014-04-28T23:19:00

Hugs! Great mechanic. It was new to me. Very nice graphics and a pretty solid game. Would have been easier to play if the hugs didn't cluster the jellyfish quite so tightly but was huge fun anyway.

Rate more games so more people will see this!

Deep by ahmeni 2014-04-28T22:41:00

Cleverly simple game with cute graphics:) Those eels are tricky. I'm not much good, I played for ages and never made it past ~160. Good job!

BactoCo by Hempuli 2014-04-28T22:03:00

Great concept and really fun! Nice graphics too. It would be great to see this in a bigger office with more things you can do to victims. Good job :)

Sky Crystal Adventure by George 2014-09-07T18:50:00

Nice visual style. The music really added something too.

Great concept!

Orbit by Noah Ratcliff 2014-08-26T22:43:00

Nice and relaxing. A great concept. I feel like I really wanted to drag the planets rather than clicking around. Great work though!

Intergalactic Express by Dining Philosopher 2014-09-07T18:30:00

Great entry. A good mix of puzzle and skill. I really enjoyed playing this. I think there was a bug. I found that when I died on one of the later levels (7 maybe?) I couldn't continue. Excellent work though!

ConnectTheWorlds by mrexcessive 2014-09-06T20:29:00

Nice writing. I didn't enjoy scrabbling to select the initial settings at the start of each stage. Great work on making a simple mechanic fun.

Nice work.

GET Connected by sephyka 2014-09-13T13:21:00

Nice idea.

Ludum Galaxy 64 by AtomicVikings 2014-08-30T09:54:00

That's some premium potato salad! Some nice details here like the ships thrusters, the blurring star field and the interaction between the ship and the planets. Breaking out of orbit was very satisfying. The gameplay became a bit samey after a while but held my attention long enough to get rich on potato salad. Good job!

Red Entity by danbo 2014-08-30T09:17:00

Great fun and looks and sounds great. I never quite got the hang of the mech controls but I guess things were always pretty hectic at that point.

Notes from a Mad Mage by Razoric 2014-09-06T21:22:00

Awesome work on the pixel art. The sounds are hilarious and the music is great. Really fun to play (although I think any resemblance to the theme is tenuous at best). The sound effect, screen shake and size of the projectiles made shooting them feel really satisfying

Multi-Maze by olls 2014-09-01T21:13:00

Great level design and a nice simple aesthetic. I really enjoyed playing this. I had to "cheat" and use the links at the top. I couldn't finish level 2! Is it really obvious and I'm just being dumb?

Towel Run by OnErrorResumeNext 2014-09-06T19:52:00

Nice idea and fun to play. It was a little hard to see the bottom player against that background.

Lady Lyla by whalebot 2014-09-06T22:06:00

Parallel Rift by liquidminduk 2014-09-13T13:06:00

Great looking entry and an awesome idea. Super fun. Nice work.

Harmony by LeftRight92 2014-09-06T20:54:00

Great idea. It was fun but it might have been moreso if it was a little simpler and better balanced.

Interplanetary Defense Alliance by TaylorAnderson 2014-08-25T13:28:00

Great idea! Really fun to play. My high score was 236 but I think I can beat that if I find my mouse as I'm on a trackpad.

Fire & Ice by NnelGdaBandit 2014-08-26T22:53:00

Great twist on the tower defense genre! Very hectic gameplay, I couldn't keep up on level 4.

FLIP! by SetArray 2014-09-07T18:11:00

Nice simple idea and aesthetic well executed. You could perhaps have made it a little harder. Fun though.

Crossworld Club by Artamus 2014-09-07T18:35:00

Nice work. Pretty funny. Sound and art were pretty solid too.

Node 54 by silentlamb 2014-09-07T19:07:00

Really like that background. The controls were really hard to get used to but pretty fun once I did. It took me 806 seconds and 15 deaths.

BED✰HOGG by 01010111 2015-04-20T23:51:00

This looks and sounds fantastic! I love the style. It plays really well on the controller too. Great work. I guess the only fault I can find is that it's derivative but that's acknowledged in the title :)

Congrats on the AI, she beat me a few times. Would love to know how you coded that.

BED✰HOGG by 01010111 2015-04-20T23:53:00

Miroir du Mort by graebor 2015-04-21T00:14:00

Fantastic graphics and atmosphere. Great sound too, I loved the "ting" of the lights bouncing off each mirror. I really enjoyed the tension/chaos once once of the mirror vampires started shining at me. The candle thing added a nice element of replayability. I got 43.
A couple of things you could improve. The controller support wasn't great, I fared better on a keyboard. Also it often felt easier to lure the bad guys into an existing beam than employ my mirror. It would be better if they were only damaged if the light came off a mirror. Other than that excellent work!

Choose your own title! by jlauper 2015-04-20T20:44:00

I think I found all the endings. I liked the different stories although I felt like the only way to be successful was to be very ruthless and violent. A little more nuance would have been nice.
On replays purple links made it more obvious when the different story threads converged. This improved replay-ability but reduced surprise. If it's important it may be better to use some CSS or something to not show already visited links.

Cluedont by KamikaziUk 2015-04-20T20:10:00

I like the atmosphere.

Unconventional Card Battles by benjih 2015-04-20T20:16:00

Pretty fun. Trying to build up surprise seemed a pretty good strategy.

Cornflake Capers by peejaygee 2015-04-20T20:00:00

The mouths were hilarious. Nice implementation although I found waiting for the bowls to turn up a little frustrating. Great work! Runs well in Chrome.

Infectious by Chemical_Studios 2015-04-20T20:33:00

Nice twist on a decent mechanic. Zombies are certainly an unconventional weapon. I feel like I was playing the game in reverse, it was actually getting easier. Perhaps if it started with lots of people and counted down it would be more of a challenge. Nice work though!

Flappy Shrimp Ninja Blob VS Blue Water Saussage ! by elpaulo 2015-04-20T21:14:00

Infuriating but really fun! Great level design really made this for me, even though it required some "unconventional" water physics and Level 11 was just cruel. Graphics could have been a bit more polished. It was hard to tell where the shrimp would go at first, perhaps if the bubbles behind him were a bit more directed it would have been clearer. Other than that fantastic job!

Flail Rider by jushii 2015-04-20T21:38:00

Great graphics and style. Looks fantastic, sounds great and a nice idea! I found doughnuts were the key to success. $26250 was my best score. This plays sooo much better with a controller.

No More Flies by bpvelloso 2015-04-22T21:16:00

Stressful! But fun! Well done.

Giant Spiky Ball of Death by RobotHoboDanceParty 2015-04-20T19:52:00

Really fun and a very clever idea. It's very satisfying, particularly with the sound and blood spatters at the start. I like how you introduced the controls and the gameplay at the start. To extend it you could have more of an adventure mode where you have to navigate smaller tunnels etc and press switches with the ball.

Pocket Squad by Donpastor 2015-04-22T21:33:00

Once I got the hang of the shooting I felt really nice. The different projectiles were fun!
