Played for 5 minutes, still have absolutely no idea what I'm supposed to be doing or what is going on. Sometimes I can move onto an enemy, and sometimes I can't? How do I know if matter is "joined"? What does that mean? I did actually win once, I'm just not sure what I did...

The rules of this game came from "Lines of Action", the first time I've played my reaction was like yours! But it only seems hard to play, take a look onto this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lines_of_Action

it's interesting, i didnt really understand the movement rules though, it seemed nearly random as to whether i could move 1, 2, diagonally, or straight.

Interesting game to play and goes well with the theme, but some explanation of the rules would have been nice (I didn't know what I was doing until I checked the wikipedia article thanks to ragnister).
The AI seems average, but I liked the particle effects and the general flow of the game.

This could really do with some instructions or a tutorial, I couldn't figure out how it worked or what I was meant to be doing...

A solid implementation but could have done with some instructions.

Interesting game, although a link to the rules should be the first thing the player sees since this is a not a game you can easily pick up by just trying to play. I think the UI could be improved slightly as well (show move destinations by mouse-overing a piece, and maybe better highlighting for connected pieces).

I agree with the others, the rules are impossible to figure out on your own, so they should be given. Once I figured out that capturing pieces is not necessarily a good thing, the game seemed really easy. I just tried to connect to the middle somehow and the AI didn't really try to stop me. Interesting idea and the particle effects are neat.

Thank you guys for playing! I put the basis rules in the description

Nice animation when the particles move. It seems like the AI could use some work, as I beat it hardly knowing what I was doing. The game feels pretty polished, except that there isn't much gameplay (which I know takes a lot of time to get right).

I liked playing the game. You didn't really invent anything, but it was fun and well made.

angrygeometry 2012-05-04 16:24

slowly figured it out. the engine seems smart and i think the biggest problem is definitely the learning curve. i thought it was well executed though.

+ it's a puzzle game
+ dubious graphics

- it maxes out my CPU (c'mon it's a puzzle game, not a FPS)

lacutis 2012-05-12 18:46

Interesting game, I liked that it was one of the few puzzle games I played. I could see playing it on my phone.

cakencode 2012-05-13 18:40

It was interesting to play. I had to refer back to the description for rules. Maybe it would help to start with an easy tutorial level for us to figure out and get into.
