Extremely unforgiving for some of the levels, super easy for others. Other than that, nice game!

Thanks for the comments! At the end of Saturday the game was really hard - my wife play-tested it and it took her 5 goes just to kill something without dying. So I really dialled it back and maybe it was a bit too far. Personally I find that constantly spinning and shooting I still miss a lot of stuff, but whatever works for you :)
Both links are now dead, DNS error looking up s3.staticvoidgames.com
Whut?
Was quite hard to steer into side passages because the collision detection is quite harsh and even the smallest key tap made me move 2 or 3 pixels.
Couldn't get the JAR to run
Pretty good start for 18 hours but I'm afraid I have to judge it as a 48 hour game, and based on that there just isn't very much of anything here.
Slow and confusing, but there is the basis for a good game hidden in here.
Pretty sure Garage Band samples aren't allowed within the rules... Rating 1 for the Audio and Mood (mostly set by the music).
A cool game about finding yourself, though I eventually got to one of the levels where you control dozens of microbes and then its just more or less impossible to do except by luck.
Played for 5 minutes, still have absolutely no idea what I'm supposed to be doing or what is going on. Sometimes I can move onto an enemy, and sometimes I can't? How do I know if matter is "joined"? What does that mean? I did actually win once, I'm just not sure what I did...
Muffinception! Great game, hard but not too hard, looks great!
Did think I was looking at a compo entry at first though, nearly blew my mind :D
The first level where you only have on white circle seemed to be impossible. The square never moves, hits you back for as much as you hit it for every time, and has more health...
Was okay till then!
Stuck at "Loading 73%" in Chrome. Refreshed a few times but nothing changed.
Mostly unplayable due to lag, and I was the only person logged in when I tried. After the first few seconds of it seeming to be ok I just started hopping around the screen seemingly at random and after about 10 seconds in my beam stopped appearing (though I still got the sound).
There was also no one else on at the time making it pointless but I won't mark you down for that :)
Not quite sure how one could lose, but the mechanic was quite nice and the collecting sound effect was quite satisfying.
Managed to get the two guys to meet up, got them to change ends, danced around all over the place with ease... still just got fail messages. Great idea, just no idea what the win condition is.
I dropped off the eldge accidentally and left both the skull and the wings up there, so I was stuck first time around.
Other than that, brilliant!
Good fun, you should totally do a post-compo version with more levels!
Red-green colour-blind, no idea what to block or not. Definitely got further just trying to block everything than by blocking about 50/50...
Figured it all out when I got a friend to come over and they told me that in the first two stages all of the balls were the same colour - once I survived to stage three it turned out I could tell them apart on my own :D
Loved it!
Nothing to play!
Crashes about 10 seconds in every time on the Java version. The web version keeps running in Chrome, but no ships or planets are drawn.
Couldn't play so no rating.
Heh, it took me five minutes of playing to spot the fruit, which was frustrating, but once I knew what I was looking for it was great :)
Literally LOLed at the bonus :)
Seems like it would have taken quite a lot of effort to actually lose any of the levels.
Oh man, how embarrassing... your game has a similar mechanic to my own, but yours is clearly much better.
Not playable

It's not much of a game... but it was a nice experience.
Challenged a bunch of people, no one ever took a go. Not rated because not playable.
Nice bonus! :)
Beautiful game with a great idea but just not enough to shoot at.
Didn't give a humor rating. Didn't seem appropriate!
The whistling was kind of annoying but atmospheric at the same time.
Could do with a way to heal or something. I die pretty quickly every time! Awesome look and feel though.
Not signing up for an account to test, sorry!
I cheated and looked in the source. Pretty sure I would have never worked it out otherwise!
Not sure that ending is strictly within the rules...
Very hard, and annoying that you have to go right back to the beginning if you get stuck - which is very easy to do.
Ha, "Trade Envoy" my bum. Let the guy on the first level get to the bottom to see what happened and I lost anyway! :D
Kind hard :p
You can see the design for the original game in the source: https://github.com/wibblymat/ld24/blob/master/brainstorm such a ridiculous idea, I don't know what I was thinking!
The last game was bit of a mess. I saw something about there only being one breakout ball or something? The instructions didn't make any sense so I clicked through to the next screen to see if I could figure it out and I couldn't.
It seemed like I *should* just be flying around killing things, but:
* Key controls were mushy.
* I seemed to move around the screen almost at random - not just resetting to the middle when you die, just moving around all over the place without touching the controls.
* The rate of fire was very low and movement is slow so it was very hard to shoot or avoid anything.
* Shooting happened on mouseup rather than mousedown which feels really unnatural if you click rather than hold - makes it hard to aim at the right time.
* I died over and over and over again on the last level and just kept getting respawned in the middle... until one time I got "Game Over". What was special about that one time?
I hope this is constructive rather than mean, your game is certainly better than mine and these are all the kind of things that are hard to get right in a game jam.
Loved it, though as already mentioned there was a certain amount of waiting around for the right alignment. On the later levels crossing water was tricky too because whenever I tried to activate the carriers I would usually activate 10 other things instead. Great story, great voiceover.
Controls felt sluggish somehow
I admit it, stuck on the second level, watched the video instead - though I intend to come back to this one.
One comment on the gameplay - burning through the blocks isn't really a puzzle most of the time, because you can see exactly where you have to go. A lot of the time you don't need skill either. Seems a bit of a time sink. Everything else looked awesome :D
Wonderful!
I'm colour-blind so it was a pretty frustrating game experience :p
Amazing
Looked and sounded great but didn't really know what I was doing. There doesn't seem to be any limit to how often you can use the abilities, and no way to control anything that happens. After clicking buttons for about 10 minutes the bottom bar disappeared and then I was back at the menu. I don't know why. Did I win? Did I lose?
Because I didn't know what I was trying to achieve, I didn't really care what happened. Without some guidance the game is just boring. Sorry!
Couldn't work out what the "step" value did.
Got lots of upgrades all at 20 degrees so I couldn't get hit, second guy was still invulnerable behind his shields. Boring! Was deliberately getting killed to get more upgrades but nothing worked.
Refreshed the game... got an invulnerable enemy on the third level instead.
Really loved the upgrade mechanic, nice work!
Good idea, nicely executed. Liked the music!
Bonus points for Wilhelm scream!
Very hard game, you don't go very far when you jump, do you? :)
The ants don't move around very much, often going back and forth between the same two points for ages, so it can take a very long time with you just sitting and watching. I kind of like the idea but the game as entered isn't much fun. There needs to be more for the player to do so they can feel a bit more involved.
Controls were a bit wonky (at least in the web version). Was very easy to walk past a turning you wanted to take.
Game started in full screen and was just black with the music. Had to Alt-Enter to get the game to work. (Windows 10)
When it said "Enter key for interaction" at the beginning I thought it was a tutorial - the "enter" key was used for interaction. So I pressed the enter key a few times and nothing happened.
Got over the confusion soon after, though, and the game was pretty fun.
It's really slick and well made, but doing matrix multiplication in your head is hard!
Had a really nice "feel" to it, though the game itself was pretty hard on my trackpad :)
"Who's the daddy" is surprisingly creepy :)
Reeallly hard. Took me a long time to figure out that I couldn't jump high enough until I fired some bullets.
Love the visual style!
Nice art! Might have been nice to have a mute button for the music though ;)
Yep, the collision bug is annoying, and I ran out of time figuring it out.
I will try and bear in mind that Jam games shouldn't be so difficult in the future, but it's worth noting that the difficulty is deliberate :)
@Rob-white Yes, all of the sound effects are vocal and then tweaked in Audacity. The shooting sound is the pop you get you you pull your finger out of your cheek (if that makes sense)
I finally fixed falling through the terrain! My understanding is that this is the kind of bug you are allowed to fix after the compo has finished without a penalty, so I did it.
I did the minimum that fixed the issue, though, so you can still end up partly sunk inside the terrain. It shouldn't negatively affect things any more, though.
@jasontherand Ha, I didn't see your comment and spent 5 minutes trying to figure out how to "win" :)
I liked the style and the gameplay. However, I wasn't really sure that the gun and arm models were made in the 48 hours, because they are amazing. I was going to look in the source for evidence but you haven't published it!
