Its part of the game, you dont die ;)
Cool, space invaders with the bad guy from sonic and cats, with an Egyptian theme.
Ohh wow this gets intensive after a while. One of the best I've tried so far good job.
Ahhah this game is amazing. The writing was top notch and the fact that you gave us a fast forward button made it much better. Anyways I have to go look for a well to get some socks out of that factory. The only thing I didn't get is why it says 4/6 did I miss 2 exhibits or they weren't implemented?
Looks and sounds good, The mechanics are cool and rather unforgiving. I found myself just dropping the aim in the middle of the room and just dodging enemies and projectiles though since its quite impossible to manage both at the same time.
I love the cut-scenes and the story. Even the strange dialog boxes have their own charm especially Steve's dead portrait that killed me.
I'm kind of disappointed in the "while moving" game play though seems to be too rushed, all it needed were a few tweaks on the animation settings and a couple of nav mesh obstacles. Also is that rain magical?
Cool, its fun, looks great, as others said, i dont get the theme in there at all, but overall its a nice game. I got around 1000 score max than a sneaky one shot me while he was dying and i didn't see their projectile -_-' ohh well.
Well, never seen anything like it, when it works its an awesome idea. Managed to burn the tree down, but i managed to get the game stuck multiple times on the "Christmas present".
one of the better entries I've played so far (in the 30's). Music+Gameplay fit wonderful. And even though it becomes a bit hectic at around lvl 4 its still enjoyable. Good job ;)
One of the better games I've rated so far in this jam in terms of gameplay.
Wow, the controls are not made to work for WebGL, found the experience a bit nauseating myself. Good attempt though and great graphics for such a short time.
Haha brilliant! Comedy made well!
That was cool, good job ;)
Is it just me that think WASD and Arrow Keys was a terrible input solution? I dunno, the game was ok dialog texts were ok, humor was ok, graphics and sound were amazing but that input scheme just ruined the experience for me.
Not going to say that the game was fun, but that was a funny interaction.
Wow, im blown away. Simple but cool.
Thanks negativice, yeah the eco-system thing was totally planned to happen *cough* haha.
That's a nice idea to get the repel away from them generally i keep it in a corner or in the center of the screen to not "affect" them as much with it. Also, the more you kill, the less effective the cursor becomes at repelling, especially when there's hundreds of the little buggers :p
thanks cyfixus it is pretty intense in the first minute and than towards the end.
caranha, that's another way of playing it which I hadn't thought of. If you're able to separate them correctly, that can work! basically imagine this : create the typical deadlock between red/green and yellow/blue than try to separate a chunk of one color (say red), and push them towards the other group to reduce red since they die to yellow and possibly blue since they die in the process until yellow can eat the reds! That's a fantastic tactic! :D
Thanks everybody for all the nice comments :) I would've liked to have a bit more player interaction with the game, I'm just not creative enough I guess haha.
As fuad said, I loved watching the diseases play the game between themselves and believe me, sometimes you'd have funny situations of a suicidal assault.
Something I just want to say, those diseases all start with the same base stats, but they evolve over time (probably at a really slow pace now that I have played it a bit). One always become much stronger than others.
@mutuware holy damn your game is hard! Cant keep more than 1 alive for more than 10-20 seconds. Thanks for the comment was there any inspiration on your game?
@kleinzach thank you
@bigbuggames, @anrchonthewizard, @swellbastion thanks for the comments, I appreciate comments :) although swell, I have no idea what animations you see xD
@palys plays thanks for the comment it was a weird idea for me. I "knew" about the fps problem, I wouldn't have thought that 2k sprites on screen would affect performance as much as they did. I actually noticed this issue during testing (sunday evening) and for the compo I had made a quick cap on the amount of spawns but I wasn't conservative enough so it still lags. Post-compo versions have this issue alleviated a bit better.
Hey all, thanks for all the positive comments, really appreciate any feedback.
@MrErdalUral, wow I didn't know about that one thanks! :D
Hey thanks all for the comments sorry it took so late, due to holidays
I like the piano but the shooting and hit sounds are seriously annoying :p. Cool jam entry, good job ;)
Holy shit this is amazing! Either because I actually tried thinking about this game (compared to some others for a jam this is a thought provoking one) and i went with a result which actually depicts myself perfectly (Pink>Black>Blue>White), or because I didn't expect it to be this good.
ummm what? game is under judgement?
I don't usually like puzzle games, but hey i managed :D http://imgur.com/a/Z5nJd
That being said, as nusan said before the control scheme is "horrible" for pc, but this is gonna go on my pocket chip for sure! :D
Cool overall, my only gripe is i didn't understand that there's a thing off screen which moves with WASD while you're clicking WASD to do the keyboard thing on the world. My only suggestion would be to remove the W on the first level, so at one point the player will get the character onscreen if he clicks ASD eventually the character gets in the frame. Or just start the character visible.
Haha "It’s pretty buggy"
Love the graphica mostly! Amazing how well polished it all looks
haha @generictoast that was such a stupid mistake from my part. Originally (and i think the code is still there) the whole game was 3D so i had both AD and WS hooked in. When I *hastily* flipped the switch to go to 2D i didn't notice that WS really doesn't make any sense at all.
Regarding the stuck there on some planets, that is part of the game which I might have not explained too well. Basically the rules are as follows (good point, ill put this in the description) : - Any star (all color coded with yellow) are close to impossible to escape. - Any lava planet (red's) are hard to escape but doable. - Any planet (blue/green's) are normal difficulty. - Any gas giant (grey/transparent) are there to ruin trajectories.
For the future (hopefully) I need to get player feedback before submitting.
Hey all, thanks for all the comments :D I love how @chris-delta is on point, but its "kinda" the point (in addition to being me, so im not too creative with stuff). But as @moonleaf said, it's exactly the point why the game feels "empty". When I showed this game to fellow developers IRL, I tend to explain it as a parody NMS. Just because that is how i felt the original game felt to me. Thanks for all the comments though, really appreciate :D
Absolutely the beauty of jams, I opened Photoshop first time since forever myself (I'm a programmer).
Great game! Awesome that you linked on the group on fb while devving ;)
Lovely game, took me a bit of time to get the "reload?" mechanic under control but its great once you get the hang of it!
Wheres the votes for Audio and Visuals?! Pity you turned them off. Love the tutorial layout, gonna steal that idea at some point!
Great gem! Loved the shield mechanic, audio fits in perfectly, and i seriously love the grain effect ties the graphics so nicely together! :D
Great little game! Too bad i can only play the webgl version and the upgrade system is bugged, but I see the potential! :D Got up to 30points or something with 10 wires, than it started becoming impossible haha :D
Haha thanks everybody for the nice comments :D I love seeing people's reaction. @sugarbyte I hope there's no need to for just this :D
Ahaha @mspawa that's probably a dumb import scale issue on my part xD
Thanks everybody for the comments!
Thanks everybody :D We managed to hit 20 overnight so we're safe for voting!
Thanks everybody that played (and a lot of streamers that streamed our game :D)!
Just a few small comments to what @aurel300 said; the game isn't random everything (important [ie, not decorations]) is pre-placed as to ensure an even playground. Wish I had more time to do multiplayer stuff, but honestly, I'd rather make a solid singleplayer experience instead of a half ass'd multiplayer one :D The "indicator" suggestion was something we discussed on Monday, but opted not to do else it would make the late game even easier than it already is. Thanks for the suggestions though, it ends up to "I wish we had more time" xD
Thanks everybody for the great responses! I'll get around to vote more game tomorrow so expect to see my name again haha
@diptoman The idea came mostly from an art concept of Alex and the gameplay mostly from Sean. Both have their links in the credit section, just might have to disable popup blocker....
@phlip45 That is a fantastic simple improvement! Will keep it in mind for next gamejams thanks! :D
Very "cool" game! :D Very challenging which is a great positive, especially love the ending quotes so humorous!
Haha love the universe it's in. Some recipes are not that intuitive i think (personally) so i was mostly giving them burnt stuff and hoping for the best xD
Cute little game, got to the 3rd "stage" before it got too tiring. Love the voices it pulled the game together well as in introduction.
Holy damn, probably one of the fastest game over screens I've got in a while haha
http://imgur.com/a/wFoQo
yeah UX was a bit off had no idea what i was doing for the first 2-3 runs. Than got the hang of it :D Pretty cool though, @otherpeople : dont just give up after the first loss!
Great concept for the theme! Was surprisingly fun, great tutorial as well got the hang of it immediately with it!
As I said in stream, people dying at 42 Degrees should come live here, too funny. Good job! Gameplay wise, I wouldve liked if the game was a bit slower or had a pause feature. I like reading what the game says but it scrolls too fast
Holy shit this game looks amazing! Must play it at some point this weekend! (this is a self reminder :p)
Great puzzle game! Holy damn I'm seriously impressed with the fluidity of the game even for someone like me, who sucks at puzzle games!
Cool, took me a bit to understood what's happening, since first thing i did on first play-through was B-line north (aka away from the blue done of energy thing). Maybe a bit of instructions even on the description area would help other players.
Great attempt! It feels challenging as it is. Especially love that its just one resource, both costs and survival rely on one unit.
Cool game for a first game! Really liked the detail with fire speed. Didn't like that the coins are yellow on a yellow background (sometimes) and its hard to see :D but good job none the less!
Really liked this game, simple mechanics executed very well!
I just love the concept of this game. Gotta be one of the most unique entries I've seen so far.
EDIT: I deleted Sys32 I think I just won the game, its not beeping anymore :D
Daaaamn this is good :D That purle hand is mvp imo for gameplay. Well done dude
@mgadrat thanks very much, sorry for having a bad experience with the controls, knew I shouldn't have pushed a last minute bug fix to the input manager, and publish. Fixed now if you'd like to give it another go.
@maoap thanks for trying the game, i suggest you give it another go with the major bug fix mgadrat informed us about :) surely the game is MUCH more enjoyable and what we had wanted the players to feel.
@willowblade thanks for the comment, yep the input bug was quickly fixed in the link above.
@oddlyfunctional that was my intention with forcing the players to choose their own input scheme at the start for the cooking mini-game. There should be a sfx that plays when a customer changes their state, maybe its not obvious enough thanks for giving us your input, we all appreciate feedback :)
@lauriex I'll forward that to danny :D he'll appreciate it
@mrchippy yay someone got the art style attempt we did. Imo, we went wayyy off target but still managed to salvage it. Yeah the chaotic feel is what we wanted to go to. Thank you for commenting.
@masadow thanks, i'll keep in mind the rating feedback. I agree with you now that I see it back, will try making the rating system for future games more transparent.
@strangeryann Thanks for the feedback, there should be a game-over screen once all the seats are taken, but it seems like I have a bug with the controls on some pc's I'll see if I can check whats wrong over the weekend maybe release a post-jam version. I'll forward your clutter issue to @rainbowez :p Thanks very much for playing
@gremtacular Thats a great fix for our clutter issue opening another path on the left side. Will let the designer know and will get a post jam version up at some point, I might have found the issue with the key inputs being a firefox-related issue.
@yngvarr sorry it took me a while, but I've built a windows version for you, you can find it under the "notes" section. I don't like building for pc/mac/linux for jams due to the games are generally made with a 960x600 resolution in mind and generally, will look like shit when scaled up :p
@srabatata thanks! :D
@tulipekoni thank you very much, I'm glad you didnt have the input bug some of the others are finding.
@mightymarcus thanks! I've played and rated yours. It's way better than ours on so many levels! Thanks for trying ours out :)
@yngvarr thanks :) yeah that little slide effect is so annoying xD but couldnt get myself to rewrite movement controls haha
@wibblymat yeah in retrospec i should've made it more obvious that it should be a "alphanumerical" key but will try to improve it in any future jams I make with the same input gimmick.
@lereveur Thanks! yeah it's pretty hard and most people get a score of 2. To get a score of 3 you must not miss a single client which is close to impossible. But yeah, totally I have to learn to make the scoring more transparent to the players. Thanks for your feedback :D
@mightymarcus not a joke mate :D I think we're all our own worst critics ;)
@tinis-games yup will keep that in mind not to screw it up again haha :D Thanks very much for playing
@schu Ohh yeah how I wish we had time to make the tutorial in game, unfortunately this jam me and the designer were both limited in the time we had to create the jam (around 2 days) but we felt like a tutorial how bare bone was still required to understand what to do. Thanks for the feedback though, I'll let danny know he did an awesome job with the customers :D
First of all, really cool game, in all aspects. These are just a few of my comments:
Pros: Love the visuals, so polished and pretty animations Base Gameplay is simple and cool, love a good ole rock paper scissors formula. Pack based gameplay allows for replayability
Cons: Audio is a bit repetitive after a while. Gameplay is grindy (too many rounds to kill a single healing enemy with low positive damaging abilities) and "unfair" since the "draw" happens at "what seems to be random" (it probably isn't but it feels like that)
Hahahaha!i love the loot-box spam + twist at the end! :D Maybe the wording could've been a bit clearer to wtf is happening, but i got it on the second play-through so its not bad ;) Good job! :D
Hands down, the best game i've played so far. The "meet the chooks" reminds me of the tf2 ads even though its completely unrelated but it setup an expectation which was well met. i got around 110 so far before i died laughing at the sound track.
This game is comedic genius! Seriously, the player background game-play wasn't even needed, just a spam of adds with multiple close modes would've been better (ie, mouse only gameplay) but it was so well made! I got around 10k before i kept dying so im no pro xD
This game is so damn cute! Love the visuals and the sound is a bit cutey but slightly too repetitive for me. Overall great effort.
Great effort, but the tutorial is no way explenative enough. The "tasks" i have no idea what most of them are and they seem to be timed, so theres like 2-3 of them i had to skip. Only flaw in the game i think, its funny to watch bunnies run around and doing their stuff and "transforming" into buff nerd or jock bunny. Good job :D
Cool game, i like fps/td hybrids they're generally cool enough to be entertaining, but in a game jam, you guys are crazy! Tried to do too much and imo you missed the mark on both ends. TD could've been better implemented maybe with some better controls and less "choke points". FPS was "meh" at best, imo it was too easy. Also fps shouldn't have allowed us to go off track that felt a bit "cheaty". Insanely great effort for a jam and nice end result, but it could've been so much better if scoped accordingly :)
Cute little game, not a big fan of local co-op based games, which have a retarded ai (seriously, best score after 2 rounds : https://imgur.com/a/4j5l5), but I can see what you were trying to achieve and the characters are wayyy too damn cute! Seriously good job :D
Fun to play, but a twin-stick hack-em-up with a keyboard/mouse is so weird but so enjoyable for some weird reason. Love the Axe-Pike-Dagger trinity, but it feels the dagger is a bit under powered thus making the pike to op. But balancing in a jam? HAH if ever we have time to do them perfectly! good job :D
Love the fire + tornado mechanic and the cartoony art style, but really dislike how damn slow the character is and the "out of bounds" invisible walls.
Cool little game, got 930, I didn't understand what switching the racket would do except the direction the ball is going to be thrown back.
First thing i did, get caught by the police. That animation was AMAZING! haha laughed my ass off. Good job cant fault anything in the game
Theme, Graphics, Game play all on point. You've also found a cool audio track. The only flaw with this game seems to be the balancing of how stuff spawns and which spawns (maybe i was unlucky with the spawn rate), but except for that its a great solid entry!
Great game, love the fact its in essence like our game, but imo way better executed! Honest 2 feedback points,
1. The fact that the "controls" are limited to a really small segment of the game view, really limits the player's view of whats happening around you. My suggestion would be scale the whole thing up and move it to a more central feel.
2. Audio cues are cool, but the visual change isn't "that obvious" especially when taking point 1 in consideration. We tricked this issue by making the "clients" have multiple very obvious distinct visual state and exposed the timer bar.
Also... sure sure that's a "blue candle" yes yes.... xD
this is a great implementation of a type-em-off! Great job highly enjoyed. Would've prefered it if it was a html5 game but id be nitpicking.
Footsies!! Haha great entry it was fun to play. Love finding pico-8 games mad respect, i've tried to make one back a few years and i was like... yeah... nah.... xD
That was... interesting. Not sure how I feel about the controls, I get that there's an upgrade that "fixed" them to a certain degree, but they still felt a bit too "floaty" for my liking. The art and style are top notch. I kinda regretted getting the attractor first since it was bugging out and the thing just hits me in the face even though i was facing it, but it was WAY too useful when it worked. So I like the concept and most of the game, but the current implementation needs tweaking (obviously its a compo entry ffs ;) but im honest in reviews). Imo, focus a tad less on art variety and a bit more on the actual balancing of the gameplay for future entries. Good job man :D
Haha thanks all for the comments :D we love doing this and receiving any kind of feedback back!
@nnnikki can you please elaborate on the "this-is-my-first-ever-game style" if you're referring to the design/feel thanks so much that's right on point on what we were aiming for.
Ahh fair enough I guess, if you don't like the art style that's a valid opinion :)
Hey thanks for the comment all :D
@avavt : ye we got the intro possibly from the wrong pov but it was kinda intended, lesson learnt i guess :D Worms are the food for the fish so it lives until the next cat attack :) and dying theres 4 ways : Hitting the edge when the water is overflowing, not enough water is still in the bowl, you touch the cat's face, you get hit by the cat's red attack. If you found anything else that's killing you feel free to send me a vid clip that must be a bug which im not aware of! And those are generally my fave kinds of bugs haha :D
Solid entry, i like how the floor has multiple states (red/yellow/idle and all colors in between), that makes the area so dynamically awesome. I think one missed opportunity would've been that the orange enemies if they die they'd "clean" the floor instead of being "just a bigger red enemy". Another small nitpick (which i assume this game was made for downloaded version mostly) is that the controls sometimes bug out in webgl especially when you "drag" while shooting. This is easily fixable though but just a heads up ;) Really fun mechanic though good job!
I'm guessing I won once, and I lost once.... not 100% sure, but it feels good to play. Don't think it's intended to "just spam space" and win though, but the sfx and music is on point. I like the rotating world element of the game, it feels, "good to play" for lack of a better term. As i mentioned earlier, my only issue is with the ending... I'm not 100% sure whats happening.
that was relatively fun to play. I like how the ai is "simple" in terms of you know what they're going to do after a bit but hard enough cause you covered all the areas with shots. I'm sure there's like an optimal play-through though. I like the graphics and gore effect and the "GAME" sfx cracked me up first time i heard it. Good job ;)
i like how it says "Ratings received: 3" when there's no playable link.... just shows you how bs some people are on this site
Holy hectic mother of god. This is amazing! So fast paced (refreshing from what I've been playing lately [and ours]). The controls are "weird" in a good way. Once it clicked i was like, "OHH that's why!" which is basically after the first few things start spawning. Great art style too. My only nitpick is, sometimes the files stop in mid air... which seems random... not sure why. I'm guessing its a bug cause it happens rare enough, but it was common enough that it could be a feature.... or was it.... A VIRUS! *dun dun duuunnnn*
@esmouc others don't have to know ;)
This game is simply on point, honestly one of the best which i've played so far! The detail of the room transition between hidden and visible is simply awesome, the mechanic of storing just a few rooms to be lit while allowing us to walk in the dark is great. Honestly i could see this game evolve into a fully polished released game that would go straight into my steam library. Good job, and I expect this to be top 50 for sure :D
My first 5 star in a category right here! That was absolutely brilliant! Who thought of adding the guy talking and the ads is pure genius! That being said, and this is just because i nitpick a lot to give feedback even though it doesn't fully represent my voting, the character feels "too floaty" for me, especially while in mid air. Very well made and you guys should be proud!
This is a compo entry that feels polished to see. Its easy to pickup and play, i think the SHIFT (thanks for the bold on this page) is kind of redundant and it doesn't seem to affect much until WAY late on the game. But that's my only nitpick.
EDIT: "I have this thing where I start making games a lot, but never finishing them." this is exactly the reason why gamejams are awesome!
Ohh I'm guessing I never really realized that I got to any of those points (aka spawn in corners) and automatically pulled it out
As @henry-sneed mentioned, i had the same issue with the controls. Sometimes it seems you can have 2/3 boxes in the air, sometimes its locked to one. I think this is a very good effort, i liked the concept it feels like a reverse breakout but well executed. Music was really on point albeit a tad repetitive towards the end of the play session (3/4 minutes). And the art is just "ok"-ish. The flickering character was annoying but that's a "o shit no more time jam bug" not something that affects the score for me personally cause its an easy to fix. Overall a really good effort on my books!
Holy damn this feels so good to play (on pc i've tested). Like seriously, good job. I'm so glad you managed to fix the taps sometimes not responding which I've followed you from. The star shape is an amazing idea on the theme, like no idea how you guys managed to think of it. My only issue is with the green small triangles, those things are bastards i tell you ... One small thing.... WHY NO AUDIO :'( it'd tie the game up sooo well. For the jam you're free to use open source clips (with credits)
Remember to vote + leave comments other people's games so you get voted back! :D Would be a shame for this not to get placed in the rankings.
I like the story, feels like a titanic sort of thing (at least at first), the only complain i have (and i see this mentioned above me) is that you can simply turret and spam W without any repercussion, thus making space/a/d honestly useless which is a shame because I liked the balance between space and lives. One other nitpick, is on the animation side, make the "extended kick" model the same as the hit box, even if the character would deform for that 1-2 frames imo it would've given the hits way more "umph" and feel more powerful. Good job as your first completed jam, i hope to see more of your games :D
I like how the transition works between "ok lets platform to find the blocks" to "ok lets puzzle to clear this shit". After 2 runs I managed to understand the concept without just flat out dying xD. I could easily see this mechanic polished up and refined into a seriously good game. Good job! :D
Let me start by saying, this is awesome! The character having his tongue out was a great addition imo to the "jovial" feel with the audio. I'm not too fond of floaty controls (it seems like a trend in this gamejam). Makes you overshoot way too much. The art is amazing, simple looking, clean, definitively need a lot of skill to pull that style so well! I honestly don't know if there's an ending, cause i never managed to survive for the time duration or to find "an objective", so if there is, please let me know :p
Capture2.PNG
Sketchiest jump ever! Awesome game i love the outline/pastel shader makes the game feel one piece
Honestly, i think this is my fave game out of the jam so far. And not because of its complex mechanics for a change, but for the ridiculous amount of polish the game has!
that was weird... i did it through and got stuck to the "bad ending", i assume theres a good ending cause i figured out you can save the two buddies and pass through the first obstacle. Good job :D
I like the game, i dont like playing the tutorial more than once tho :( but its such a fun game! managed to get to round 3? as in when it reset everything and i was left with no weapons i was like... omg what am i going to do...
This game is amazing, seriously, i could see this as a full release on my steam right now! One minor thing i would've done differently would've been making the seeds unlock over time in a slower pace but else for that it's amazing! got lvl 21 before i killed myself by getting trapped xD
Wow, im so conflicted on this one. On one end, its amazingly polished and well made art, audio, models etc and i get that you wanted to go crazy (the note on top of the entry), but as a WEBGL player, this game runs like garbage :'( good job on the game itself though, it looks amazing!
Cool idea, probably useful to the more creative folks than me all i got was a few replays of me typing swearwords and hearing the guy say them back for giggles :cat: Nice entry!
https://i.imgur.com/LlM1CuT.png <--- HAHAHHAA
https://i.imgur.com/fA832o4.png this is where i give up hahaha, one thing you REALLY needed in this was a death counter xD I'd be around 50-60 at this point. Great job dude, love the art style and the premise!
@Anonymous, Thanks for your feedback! Yep you’re 100% right, this was my first attempt at both a rythmic and an idle game, so for me personally I feel like I’ve missed the mark in terms of design. That being said, the music has nothing to do with the Rythym portion of the game. Where the circly indicators are the only mechanic that affect the rythym portion of the game which in turn affect the “Star Points”.
[No idea how im going to delete the one i posted as anon by mistake]
@starlin, technically it should end at 999z999 (thats.... ~999 x 10^93 i think if i did the maths right just now, unless theres a bug with huge numbers that isn't the counter) so yeah... lets just say its infinite.
Thanks everybody for commenting @sidewalksleeper that's a weird concession i had to live with for the game to transition nicely into big numbers (ie, 999,000,000,000,000 = 999T000). @hasuprobe i know right! the guy's amazing, feel free to check his soundcloud, he's a random guy i found his great free music that we basically chucked it in-game and sent him a message after the fact. The music has nothing of meaning to the mechanics like in typical musical rhythm games, we've opted for a more visual rhythm with the circle mechanic.
Cool gameplay, i like the tutorial and the level selection and the "collision animations" + sfx are really on point
Wow that looked amazing, kudos for making the flat art style feel so well polished. Only tip I have is, explain what you have to do, I get that its a farming game, and love the grappling hook mechanic, but once it's grown, I understood i had to take it to the middle section, but couldn't figure out how to sell it without throwing it around like an idiot.
Cute little game, love the sushi characters they're probably my fave part of the whole game! The jumping is kind-of wonky, it feels too floaty when you're supposed to be a fat panda
Decent alchemy game, design wise it's kinda "meh", the drag and drop having to manually replace was a bit tedious after the first 20 or so mix attempts and for some reason the inventory items don't keep any order so once I filled the 7x3 grid i have on screen, had to scroll up+down which was just annoying imo. Graphics and sfx are on point, maybe a bit more sfx couldn't hurt but not a biggie.
I probably missed something, i couldn't understand what I'm doing in-game (well except the rhythm game ofc), but the graphics and audio are on point.
On point art + music, the controls are sometimes not too responsive for me like you click and nothing happens, but it's a great game! got around 500 points than was like, yeah ok no way im getting that skin xD
This is so fun in multiplayer! In SP i felt it was a bit too hard for me since i suck at bullet hells and they are supposed to be like that, but the MP, God that was fun! Love the tiny details, being able to push the other player and body block him, being able to clip through black's with the boost (probably unintended, but hey it's not a bug, it's a feature! Thank you unity Discrete collisions), the little screen shakes, the scaling of the player up/down for "no obvious reason" but it gives a feel of incremental difficulty (we deduced it was due to time or due to end from not being reset correctly, both of which are still awesome!). Highly recommended game! One weird bug, or maybe we're just dumb, in MP player 1 always wins xD probably the text "Player 1" isn't being set correctly in the post game.
Love the multi command inputs, makes the game a lot more playable (i didn't realize you could so i was typing the full text every time ). Love the flat mono color graphical feel, its rare to find one well made! Good job!
Nice art style, really well made animations. The light effect is on point, but the character design difference (basically the recoloring) because of the shadows is not TOO obvious, so having played it as 3 people, the spectator was getting lost of who's who. And I see you have an audio and votes for audio, but the webgl version has no sound, if you fix that give me a shout-out with @wrexialmt and ill check it out again. But yeah, multiplayer was really fun, and really well made.
EDIT: Oh yeah and player 2's controls are kind-of weirdly laidout, personally i would've gone with WASD + V/B for P1, and Arrow Keys + RShift/ENTER. Or.... ideally reconfigurable... which this is a jam... so its obviously was not expected.
Cool take on the theme, its a unique spin to a (for me) really stagnant genre. I like how the enemies behave and I love the concept's implementation (timers are generally on point) but i really struggled with the level design. I get that it's supposed to be hard, but from the early levels I can see that the enemies can stop at choke points (the first one where there's the little cube dude and the jump, if he stops on the right edge you basically just have to wait for his ass to move) and this one https://i.imgur.com/LRWtsV5.png are particularly annoying rather than difficult. An additional thing I would've liked to see (generally in a "hard" game like this) is a death counter, just as a motivational "you can't quit now", but overall good entry! Love the fact that it doesn't have any music and instead it makes the timer's really clear with just sfx, don't know if intended but that was great for me.
I'm guessing the developers are Japanese, because this is so weird and awesome  Where would you ever see a rythmic driving game with THAT upbeat song (i know, i know in audiosurf you can make that, but still). I'm confused by the car simply jumping as it's only purpose is making the middle lane "impossible" to reliably get correctly, but thats my only flaw of the game. Well done!
Sooo pretty! Amazing how much polished the art feels! Well done
Well polished, very nice animation and love that intro, a tad too long imo I would've preferred a quicker "get back to game" after you die but it's fine. Love the tamagochi feel of brutality on that part of the mechanics. Good job!
Hahah THAT ENDING!!! omg had me in stitches first time around. Good job on art + animations, ui could've been a bit polished, but its functional so can't complain!
Wow top notch gameplay right there! :D Would've liked a warning where players would be spawning in but except for that it's amazingly well done! The ai (except for the keepers) are really well made holy shit!
I have to edit this in: this game feels sooo much like bloodbowl! without the turn based stuff complexities! Shared it with my bloodbowl buddies!
This is so awesome, at first i was like, ok that's it? but then i saw the arrows for the different levels, THAN i realised the aim of the game .... yes i didn't realise the name xD
Cool game, a bit too slow while pushing the cubes for my tastes, and theres no indication that you cant move the 2v1 from the 2 side so it was kinda "urgh... i have to do this again" scenario but its an ok jam game :D Good job
This game is on point. First you're thrown in a room with some nice lighting and a random guy and you figure out all the controls, all while involuntarily moving to the beat because of the great sound loop, very nice touch. Than, you get with the professor i was like, wtf who the heck knows some of these answers, but its forgiving enough to just randomly guess them. Was slightly confused when questions started repeating themselves but than i realized what was going on, I know you did it for "longevity", but it was the only little negative of the whole experience. Than we got to the fun parts, the bowling pins attacking back and mocking you when you let them be, is just epic, gives me a Undertale vibe. Than the shopping where you're basically the meme of Fry from Futurama throwing money at whatever without any consequence. And than the stupid dance moves with your partner! As a "combat" phase, that part was beautifully executed.
Cool "energy" mechanic, i like how each character has their own unique feel (basically guns/movement speed) I think the mini-gun dude needs an indicator to show how long you can fire for, but its a really nice tactical game. Personally, I think i would've down-scoped a bit the project, and added a bit of polish to the end result, but that's just me.
Weird game but cool, at first i was like wtf is happening, but than i saw the "help" sign and all was good
I love the cube breaking effect, i don't think i've ever seen it being used in such a cute manner!
