Tons of nice looking graphics available in this game. The game is pretty difficult, and I dropped always to the ground after few seconds, but the scene has many elements in it.

The graphics are really cool, but pretty difficult game play for me.
Really loved the graphics, and especially the physics of the character even though it kept killing me! great game
Thank you! It's true that the game is a bit hard at first. But after a few minutes, you control the character much better. @chaitae @tero-pulkkinen
Great game! Graphics, art style and character design are great. Tongue physics could be a bit buggy some times but I think thats just unity. Gameplay is intense and challenging and had me tensing like a mad man. Managed to stay alive long enough. Loved the use of physics. Brilliant job
love the graphics
Very fun. The graphics are beautiful. Great work!
Nice job on the game! My main gripe is that I believe the physics for the main character should be tweaked so that its max velocity isn't so high. I found controlling the character to be more challenging than getting around the map and surviving the crumbling structures which I believe the main intent for challenge was supposed to be coming from the structures crumbling and not the actual movement mechanics. I loved the graphics for the game though and enjoyed the game level on the web version quiet a bit!
Cool game, nice art style and the tonge gives an awesome nasty vibe. It is also a bit tricky, specially at start, but It was fun :)
@seannewman22 thanks for the precise feedback, i'll be working on fixing that before the deadline. I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
The physics of the character is a little off, but I can see you've said you're fixing it. Otherwise I absolutely love the graphics, and I think the premise is great! I think with a little movement tweak this will be an absolutely fantastic game. The music is brilliant as well.
@anstabo of course! I forgot the name at the time but I believe your character's inertia might need some tweaking to make movement a little easier to handle. I had a lot of troubles making adjustments in the air which if I could adjust where I am landing while in the air that would be top notch!
the logo disgn and the graphigs are realy gooood
Thanks :) @bovandenberg
difficult gameplay, but once you get used to it it's lots of fun! Really loving the graphics!
I love this game! I wish the controls were a bit tighter though and have a shadow under the player so that you could see better where you will land. But otherwise, I love the concept, the goofy character, the graphics and sounds! Good job!
Controls were difficult and frame rate was off. Apart from that great game!
@htmichael we're aware the controls aren't as precise as it should be, but we're trying to balance it out with the gameplay so that it doesn't become too easy to not fall down, for the frame rate i suggest you try the Exe version as the webgl isn't optimized for everyone. Thanks for the feedbacks.
I love the art style and the little animations. Simple but effective concept, I really enjoyed this.
The game needs some sort of tutorial instead of forcing the player to figure out what to do. Perhaps through showing that parts of the environment will fall in a safe area and making the starting platform bigger, so the player can get used to the controls
Love the graphics and concept but so difficult! Really good fun though :)
@erikbot Very nice idea, i love it. We will implement a larger area more solid for the player to experiment on. Thanks for the input, be sure to check out or game once the jam is finished ;)
Really neat. Loved to play.
 Graphics
Awesome game! Controls feel really good even though they are physics based. The gameplay is really fun and balanced, graphics and lighting looks fantastic, music is great and everything works together really well. I love the look of the main character, the tounge fits perfectly :D Good job!
Need a mac build. So I guess I can only review on the web build:
- Really pretty. The art is great. Animations, everything feel great to look at. - The web build is laggy so that's a problem, but I do try and look at the game minus the lag... But the controls don't feel tight enough to make a game like this fun. Why a ball? It feels like the exact wrong character for a game like this, though that could be both superficial or mechanical. - The player feels like they move way too fast for the fine motor controls it feels would be needed to navigate these platforms. - I really can't imagine this not having performance issues, with literally the whole level wobbling around on physics. Though you managed to get the system solid enough to not all topple immediately, which is good. - The lack of an indication of where the character is in a 3D platformer is a bit of a deal breaker. - Lack of a clear goal - There's a countdown, but where am I trying to get to? There's no direction or indication. If it's just survival surely it should count up and score you when you lose?
I could potentially enjoy this but I can't really play it properly :/
Thank you for your feedback @tuism! We will make modifications to improve the game;)
The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is fun and fitting with the theme. The difficulty can be challenging but it's part of what makes it fun. As someone mentionned already, maybe the starting platform should be a bit more difficult to push so you can experiment with the controls safely, it would make it a bit less frustrating. The music is nice and cartoony, it goes along well with the overall style.
@tuism Thanks for the detail critic, the mac build is on the way, sadly the two of us are working today so we can't be on this right now. The web build as mentioned is a preview version of our game, it is really not optimized to be played on low end pc or mac through WebGL, the executable version is way more stable both in frames and physics, hope you'll check back when we update our project.
We thought that the goal of our game was pretty self explanatory but you're right that we should be more specific inside the game feedbacks, maybe we'll add a score if we have time after our daily job.
The graphics are really on point, and it feels like one of those rage inducing games. Great work btw.
Namnlös.png
Hmm. I am thinking of all theese objects that bounce around in the scene. I assume they are using rigidbodies and are all physics heavy? Anyways, have you thought of any solution to this if that's the case?
Awesome graphics btw, simple yet really stylized and I really liked that they bounce like they did, theese objects. Just thinking of if it's pricy on the proccessing power or not.
@mormert Hey, thanks for playing and enjoying our game.
For the physic we approached it with multiple iterations, we needed the graphism to be on par with the physic gameplay. So what we did was using vertex color with very low poly meshes so that we could batch them together, and then we mainly used primitive colliders for all objects then we set the mass value of all rigidbodies according to their size and density. So when a small rigidbody is on top of a bigger one it doesn't wobble that much. we also simplified the unity physics to have less steps and to prevent passive colliders to be updated.
It did the job for the main game (exe version) as we had no frame dropping due to physic and no low fps due to rendering that much props, but for the webgl version it is still a bit too much for low end pc.
Really cool the art was simply amazing the game control did take little getting used
@anstabo yes, I tried the WebGL version too and it lagged heavily, so that's when I realised that this could be the reason behind it. Still, I think it works perfectly fine on exe. :)
Fun game that feels polished. I would say that the jumping feels a little floaty and times and I seemed to over jump where I was planning to go. Other than that really fun
Fun, but with some quirks.
I knew it was a good looking game as soon as i've seen it the first time. Due to it's physics based everything the game stutters a bit (at least on my pc) I would consider it being more some kind of sandbox than actual game. (Maybe i didn't play far enough to really feel the game behind it, due to the bad performance).
I still had my fun and hope to see more of you
Nice art style and intuitive controls. really like the little details like vines and the cannon in the background.
I dont get what is the point/goal? Maby its just some philosophical game about life when you keep dying. It feels more like physics test than actual game
Let me start by saying, this is awesome! The character having his tongue out was a great addition imo to the "jovial" feel with the audio. I'm not too fond of floaty controls (it seems like a trend in this gamejam). Makes you overshoot way too much. The art is amazing, simple looking, clean, definitively need a lot of skill to pull that style so well! I honestly don't know if there's an ending, cause i never managed to survive for the time duration or to find "an objective", so if there is, please let me know :p
WebGL version freezes my macbook when i start the game :(
We will make a version for MacBook in 2 hours. @Akaneiro
I didn't really know what to do at the start. But I kind of got the hang of it. Sometimes you dont bounce of the platform you stand on but some wall thats close to you which can be frustrating. Other than than good looking game!
The game has been updated. you can test it out.
Way too many rigidbodies. I'd suggest freezing them until they've been interacted with, that might speed things up.
Love the graphics and art style - the main character slime ball guy is really goofy looking, I love it!
@eoku if you are dealing with fps drop i'll suggest you try downloading the build version. Webgl isn't suited for every hardware.
@anstabo Ah, I see. Thanks!
This game is a ton of fun. I wish I was better at it!
@dead-p1xl I wish i was too x)
Nice artwork and smooth game
Really nice looking game! Was difficult for me to master controls and understand the simple objective, but after this, it's an addictive game! The WebGL version really losses the feel of the game that it's stress full for my processor =)
@zachw136 @rvenson thanks so much for the kind words, the fact that you say my game is addictive warms my heart <3!
Shit i can shit but butt. Fail to post comment. Wa slogged out. But no its fine. Shit Butt.
Amazing amount of polish for a jam game; great job! A few more levels and you have a finished product!
Dang! This game is super fun and I died of laughter when I first played it! I will probably try to best everyone in their score. A leaderboard would be nice in the game, just a suggestion tho. ;p
Nice game, love the character. Music fits really well.
That level design is really impressive. Good job!

Thank you for making this.
I love the graphics, but the game controlled really hard, and it only recognized my jumps about 1/2 the time. That could just be that I was playing on the web though, so good luck!
I played the exe, great experience. I would agree that the controls feel floaty and having snappier controls might increase the fun. The tongue was funny but as a tip in the game said to use the tongue, I don't know how I could use it. How can the tongue benefit the player's survival? Also I would decrease the clamp (in other words, increase the range) of the camera's vertical rotation, so that I could look higher in the sky and lower on the ground, if I wish to. Great execution for a game jam.
Feels like a sandbox rather than an actual game. I will admit it was pretty fun to try to survive even though I didn't find the camera ideal. Music was on point as well for the fun atmosphere of the game. I found the game's overall look very unique, colourful, and interesting. There was a lack of purpose or reason to even do anything though. The player did feel unresponsive at times when trying to turn but that may be just the challenge of the game. Great entry.
I't a lot of fun! A lot of the same problems as others have, but the pro's of this game definitely outweigh the minor issues! :D Thanks for making this!
Really good-looking game! Is "use your tongue" an actual tip or just filler? Couldnt figure that one out.
@araklaj , @beard-or-die , the tongue tip is semi joke semi real tip, you can actually jump with your tongue (it wasn't intended) but after playing our game for a long time (for debugging purpose of course) we started using this technique of jumping with the tongue to get crazy height and speed.
Really fun and nice looking game ! The difficulty seems a bit high and controlling a ball can be tricky, but i guess it's all part of the fun :) Well done!
I played the demo in browser and really enjoyed it, nice graphics, good audio, fun idea. However, I did suffer from performance issues that I can only put down to the physics. Really good though well done!
@seannewman22 @asleepforthree @barrier @htmichael @erikbot @tuism @sozey @lipsch Check out the updated version guys !
realy nice game))
Game concept is very fun! ))
It's cool how everything is crumbling and falling together!
A little hard to control, I like the momentum, but it would be nice to have instant deacceleration, for better precision jumps. Would also work well with a double jump.
It could also be cool if you started in a central hub and could take different paths each playthrough, so which are easier to progress but longer, others which are kind of shortcut but harder.
Clean art and feels ground with pillars and planks in the level design, also nice touch with the tongue!
Awesome game!! I'm just curious about how many (If any) assets were done before the jam started? It's fine if they were made before, but I'm just curious. Either way, definitely deserves to get in the top 10 overall! :)
@bungalow Thanks for playing our game and enjoying it !
All assets including shader, meshes, C# were made during the Jam :), we duplicated a lot.
That's amazing!
Very Cool physics based game! Really charming production thus far! Great job!
@notbadgun Thank you very much, I tested your game and it is really cool!
@ristoretto Wow, thanks to you. it's really nice to read this kind of comment!
@Bungalow That's nice! And yes we did everything during the Jam. If you look closely there are several objects that look alike. The real challenge was to optimize the game :)
One of the better entries. Thanks for the WebGL version, even though it runs a bit slower, it was appreciated :)
Great game, this level of polish is rare for a 72h entry ! Excellent work.
(I loved the tongue btw)
I enjoyed playing this game
This is an awesome idea, awesomely developed! I had fun, and I wanted to finish it =D. Really good job
My character bugged out but its a fun game!
Full score on all categories from me, such a fun game!
And I'm amazed by the replayability of the level, maybe that's physics for ya..
Now tell me, is there another easter egg after that dirty little extra that happens when it reaches 0s?
@vekstr Congratz on beating it, i'm affraid we can't top that little bonus ;)
Hey, nice game! I didn't managed to survive but here we go with feedback:
• It's hard to make a game during a jam, even more to polish it, even more to optimize it. Forget about the performance issues, at least for now, you guys did a great job!
• I wish I was able to look at the top, having an assist to audio using my sight would be better to survive.
• The UI looks great
• Even if you didn't the audio, it was a nice pick, fits the game
• it is fun and challenging
(I'd advise removing the web version build, since the players are most likely to experience a more lag version of your game)
In case you continue to develop your game let me know! I'd love to see your progress, my info is on my LD profile.
Do you mind to give feedback to our game as well? (It’s a platformer, I don’t know if you like the genre but it is important for me to have feedback from player who like and dislike it). The link to it is on my profile, I won't post to avoid spam.
@nyunesu Thanks for the well thought feedbacks. Unfortunately we can't remove the Webgl version as it is the only way some people can play this game, I trust people to chose the most optimal way to play our game.
I'll be glad to give you feedbacks on your game !
The graphics are so nice, and the control too! Amazing job!
Fantastic looking game. Gameplay's fun as well. I love how everything is crumbling down! :)
Great game here, beautiful visuals and tight controls. Fun trying a bunch of different routs.
Very nice game! Feels very good to move through the level and the art style is fantastic. The character visually glitched a few times but combined with the music, it's hilarious. One of my favorite games this jam. Fantastic work!
Really fun game. controls feel solid and graphics are really nice.
Awesome game! Thanks to the music it's at the same time relaxed and enraging :D I didn't make it past 0:30 but with a few more minutes it should be very possible. I couldn't spend them though because I was too distracted by trying to jump through the red thing on the left and right just at the start. Is it possible?
This is a fun entry! You definitely managed to make it goofy, and it captures the theme well. I had a little bit of trouble gauging my location a few times when bouncing through the air, and narrowly missed the platform I thought I'd be landing on, but that's about the only issue I ran into. Good job!
@flaterectomy It is not, but it's a nice idea to implement in the game, a hole in the wall. Glad you enjoyed the game :)
Man you are definitely on a winner track (the graphic is so nice)
I had trouble not dying within the first 45 seconds or so but I guess that's the point. The graphics were nice to look at and the music was an interesting and somewhat comical choice given the grim realization that you only have 2 minutes max to live. When I saw his tongue come out I was hoping he could grab onto stuff with it. That would have been unexpected.
I'm... very... impressed
Awesome game and a creative idea; however, the game lagged at many times and is quite difficult.
@thecommonthug Thanks @xerozylir If the web version lags for you, i would suggest downloading the executable version for your PC or MAC, this will give you the full experience without any latency. I'm glad you enjoyed the game.
There is nothing to say about this game, I just love the end. By the way, is it normal to have a negative timer starting at -1:00 after the 2 minutes ?
@trocentraisin , Thanks, yeah it's normal, it's the only fast way we had to track timer after completion, so that you can beat a new "super timer". But i agree it's not very clear to the player nor is it optimal. Glad you could finish it though :)
Wow what am amazing game!! I had fun trying to get through it but there were some areas that lagged a bit. Reloading is fast and controls are very easy to understand. Music blended with the visuals and environment as well. Great job!!!
Really fun idea there :) I agree with some of our fellows LDJammers, the controls are a bit off there, making it harder than expected, but it only adds on the tone of your game, giving it this special feeling of the "physic I love to hate". Failing is half the time not my fault, and that's what kept me in the loop. Strange but refreshing feeling :) Other than that, everything crumbling is a top notch interpretation of the theme. Good job.
I was so into the game and tried so often to reach the end of the 2 minutes. I had to ragequit once when I died at 0:07 and even though I received a very cool and polite ending. The graphics felt a bit monotone after playing it for a while. You did a great job though!
This game looks so nice and is very fun to play. It's harder than I initially thought, I only managed to go down to 30 seconds :sob: Anyway, really great job on this entry, and with only 2 people, it's pretty impressive!
Ohhh! For all of you who gave up before reaching the ending: try again! It's worth it! My tip as the same as one of the in-game tips: Take your time.
This is a well made game, and it's quite fun! If you want to turn this into a full commercial game, you could do it! All you need, other than polish and bug fixes, is a bunch of levels and something like bronze/silver/gold times for each level. You've got something great here - I hope you continue developing it!
Here's a screenshot of me getting squashed between two platforms: Screenshot 2018-08-14 17.24.30.png
My high score: -1:-22
@Pace It's a great score! Thanks for the feedback :)
This reminded me a little of super monkey ball. The graphics are really well done and I found it fun to play. I too feel you should continue this and make it commercial. I could really see this on the Nintendo Switch. Congrats on completing your game!
fun game, played it 10+ times which says a lot about it's addictive quality. I experienced the polygonal error shown in a few screenshots above, but otherwise great!
The graphics are really nice. Overall, it's a fun game, but quite difficult. Great work!
Great graphics and music. I couldn't play too much because it felt laggy on my computer. Good news is that I wished I could play more, so that means something. Great entry overall, congratulations!
@oneiros @anstabo Amazing game! Is there any chance you would consider sharing the game's source files or the simplifications you made to Unity's physics engine?
The music for this is so freaking good, fits perfectly. And the art style is really nice. And even though I couldn't even get below 1 min, I loved it, really fun game, and very addicting.
Solid game! Reminds me of Glover on the Nintendo 64 for some reason lol
This game is solid and solidly funny. Started panicking once I heard the cannons! The graphics, feel, and sounds are great. Impressive amount of polish, for sure. This would be even more entertaining with a wide variety of levels.
Very chaotic and fun game, I enjoyed it a lot. The movement of the ball is very satisfying. I don't know how you implemented the chaotic scene, like putting forces to the objects at random time or something, but it works very very well. Great work!
This is a super polished entry! I loved the graphics and art style!! The game is incredibly difficult, but once I realized how to play I managed to get to -1:01 (though only once).
Really good job you two, you should be very proud of this entry
The funniest game yet (:
A very funny game with great graphics and audio. The movement with physics is very challenging.
junst couldn't stop playing it, really addictive!!! simple and beautiful graphics! 13 seconds left... I was so close haha! great game!
I don't understand a lot about what was going on, all I know was I had this big stupid grin on my face. It was just mindless fun which I like. My only problem is there didn't seem to have a lot of purpose
Super fun! Loved the premise and the overall atmosphere, great job!
A good game idea, the music should be improved. The graphics are good. Try our game too, maybe you'll like it)
Cool little game I like it but it's quite laggy for me. Maybe it's the web version.
Hi there! Here are some feedbacks for your game: - Graphic: One of the games that have the best graphic so far. - Gameplay: I love the mechanic of this game, it keeps pushing me to move and move or die (the best thing is when I try to move faster, I die faster...). I totally agree that this game is very fun ^^. - Music: The music is great as well! - Performance: When I played on WebGL, the game is so laggy that I kept dying again and again. However, .exe version of the game works well. Overall, you have done a great job as this game is amazing and very interesting to play! Congrats!
this game.... is deceptively hard!!! You start off the game has a derpy ball and just get shot at by cannon balls and you just derp along as your paths are blown away. but then you realize you have to last the 2 minutes and for what had to be 10-12 times i got to 36 seconds! i finally make it to the full 2 minutes and then die and just hear reloading im like WHAT!
f***ing love this game its amazing in all categories, and i like to think that i judge fairly and don't exaggerate when i say that. and i would give it full marks!... if the jumping wasn't such a pain in the ass. so you get pretty good marks from me and congrats on making such an amazing game.
I liked the kind of "flat design" style (in 3D), it's really good looking. It was a bit laggy but i had fun with this game :) The tongue is a nice touch ;) You can try our game too if you have time !
cool game!but the camera move too fast.bit dizzy.
@kunonooni That's very nice! Thank you! If our game is among the best, we will try to improve it and market it ^^
@dominic-graziano It's true that the game has some errors but we will correct them if we continue the game :)
@belowparallel-ian Thank you very much!
@fritz Thank you! Normally there are no more lags on the download version.
@kmce Thank you :)
@jeplmr I don't know this game but it looks funny ^^
@rustymonky Thank you very much! And yes in the future we thought to add more levels
@nam-nguyen Thank you very much! It's nice of you.
@sokuaisushi Super score! Once the 2 mins is over, this is where the challenge really begins!
@pedroaz Thank you!
@rainysolar Thank you very much! It is true that the game requires skill!
@jheysonlima It's true that the game becomes really addictive. We lost a lot of time testing it ^^
@darkmonkey-inc This is true, the objective of the game should be more show, but we wanted the player to understand for himself what he should do with the fewest instructions
@victor-hallock Thanks :)
@awix Thanks to you. Yes, you can download the game if you want any lags ;)
@tungunity96 Thank you for your feedback! And thank you for downloading the game to play in the best conditions. It's very nice to you to take the time to explain in stages how you experienced the game :)
@benjamin-armour it's nice to see you enjoyed the game! thank you for your feedback! (On a vraiment adoré faire ce jeu! Pour une premiere Ludum Dare, c'est une super expérience ;)
@alex-brull Thanks! There are no more lags on the download version, so you can try if you want^^
@maskinmask Thank you!
The music and goofy tongue get me every time. I can see why so many people are playing this. Amazing work.
The character controller is too sluggish for a game like that. Fine control creates fun here, not random chance. Also there seems to be no level progression, just a bunch of platforms and effects. Didn't get a positive 'yes, I made it/got it' event in any of my retries. Seems any success immediately turns into a failure because of too much inertia or twitchy mouse controls. Overall it kinda misses some balance between pacing, control, difficulty and reward.
I really liked the cartoon-esque cel shaded style and the derpiness of the main character in particular. The music was a bit repetitive but worked okay, but perhaps a more oriental precussion and melody style would have fit the environment better. Gameplay-wise it reminded me a bit of Rock of Ages. It took me a while to get used to how the ball controlled and I feel like that was because of the big difference in acceleration and speed between the ground and air. I felt sluggish on the ground and a bit too fast in the air. Despite the faults, I enjoyed messing around in it and I commend your good work. Solid entry!
What is the purpose of the tongue? There was a tip I should use the tongue but I don't see how I could use it.
Anyway, it's a nice game you made.
Good ... but why only WASD keys !!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please support both QWERTY and AZERTY keyboard layouts, especially in the case of WebGL game ; it's really simple with four direction motions (or less) ...
Keys relative motion : * Q to move left * A to move left * D to move right * W to move up * Z to move up * S to move down * SPACE to jump
Eventually, support also arrow keys.
Other avalaible nearest keys : * E to special action 1 * C to special action 2 * X to special action 3
Most other keys around "this block of nine keys" can be used with both of keyboard layouts.
Thanks for the whole player community.
@bismark We are french developpers so we have AZERTY keyboards too, but there is so much way you can play a qwerty game with an azerty keyboard that we didn't bother:
you can either Shift alt to switch from azerty to qwerty or you can download the build and reconfigure it yourself.
Thanks for enjoying our game.
I agree with your arguments @anstabo ... but adding the detection of some keys in your program is even simpler ... for the player.
Wonderful graphic and concept. Sank a lot of time in it. Top notch survival.
Wow great game! I really like the character! Is that tongue coming out of his mouth? Also I sometime loose the player behind a wall and can't see him. In addition what is crumbling, does it come later in the level because I didn't get very far.
Everything about this game is good. My only problem was that I couldn't exit myself easily and had to use command-Q.
I really like the level design and graphics. I played it a bunch of times just to explore most of the level. The type of game is supposed to be somewhere between smooth and clunky and I think it mostly does this well, however jump timing, jump direction and camera feel a tad off when speed picks up. The game was pretty much unplayable in web, but I had no problems with the windows build.
About the key-question that has been discussed: since this is done in unity, if you used Input.getAxis you should have arrow keys + wasd support by default and would also support controller-sticks.
Level art and design was amazing. The character controls were satisfying. Overall, really cute and amazing game!
Make this into a game. seriously. just do it.
So simple, yet so good!
Awesome game ! I'm surprised it's your first LD game because making a game so good in 72h must be hard ! Bien joué ;)
This game is sooo awesome! Everything is excellent. In the beginning i thought, i have to make it as fast as possible to the other side... But then i noticed how this really works and could not quit the game until i've finally beaten it! The ending is very hilarious and made me laugh
Thank you for making this game!
Nice game, i really like the funny character and the environment, the mouse control feels a little bit strange, anyway it can get very addictive.
Exciting gameplay, funny character and nice music! Level looks good too. But I think that there is too much inertion in movement, it's pretty hard to control that blue thing. Also, I don't understand why camera rotation is limited. Anyway, cute game!
PS. My best result - 34 seconds for the end (version for windows).
Such an excellent game!) Especially, for the first LD!
Neat little game!
As many others have said, the visuals are great. I particularly like the explosion effects.
I feel like the controls are kind of awkward and un-responsive. If I want to change directions it's very slow to respond to my input.
Good choice of music, I just wish it didn't restart when you restart the level. You can use the [DontDestroyOnLoad()](https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/Object.DontDestroyOnLoad.html) function for this.
Well done. This game has a lot of polish and it's very impressive for 3 days.
Your game overall is pretty solid. Your graphics are phenomenal and they help compensate for what I viewed as much duller gameplay.
I think my biggest problem with the gameplay was that you're encouraged to sit around in the same area for as long as possible to minimize your chance of falling off the map. I often found myself just waiting on one platform nearly stagnant up until it was on the verge of toppling then just jumping to the next one and repeating the same strategy. Every time I tried something different it never yielded the same results as just sitting around.
If you end up fleshing out the gameplay a little more I would definitely see myself buying this in the future if it's ever published.
It makes no sense that you managed to make all of this in 72 hours. 5/5 from me.
I got confused at the objective of the game..did not knew what i was supposed to do in the game. It looks super pretty though. The controls are a bit weird... they change drastically when im in air.. the acceleration felt weird. Still a fun game though. Keep it up. :)
I'm baffled by how great this looks within such a short window of time! Really solid work and a ton of goofy fun! I absolutely would have played this Jam or not. :D
Didn't really understand the point but it was super fun to jump around =]
Cool little game with great aesthetics. I wish you could tilt the view up and down with mouse, it could help greatly the player. Also I didn't get if there was a finish line of some sort, but maybe because I couldn't reach any :)
@jesus-gonzalez Thanks for the kind comment, we actually did it in 48 hours since we had work on monday ^^.
@rend Thanks, we did a little tilt but we now realize that we should have putted more offset.
@unitedfailures The starting platform was made after our first release, but people were struggling to just stay on it to learn the control. So we made a very solid platform for you to get to know the game first. We have a lots of comments suggesting different solutions for that exact problem you mentioned for the gameplay and we will apply them if we ever do a game based on this jam.
We are so much proud of what we did, thanks to all the kind comment and constructive ones as well, it's really a learning experience to have so much feedback all at once !
I get to you for your nick @oneiros. My game is about "Oniria". You should check it :)
This game is a visual gem. It's true that its hard, but that is not bad for a short game. Congrats!
Good game, there is sometime lags but the control are good so it's not a hard problem in my opinion. Good job
It is very challenging! Aesthetics are great. Good job :)
hi.... great game and congrats your game is doing well. Good graphics and sound. My main feedback would be with respect to the controls, it requires too many hands for a casual game :). It could have been like a runner game with speed build in so you only have to look and jump.
This looks very polished! Really nice graphics and UI. The gameplay can be tweaked to make the movement a tad bit less challenging. Maybe limit the maximum velocity to achieve the responsiveness? Solid entry nevertheless!
Yeah it's pretty much great, I gave 5's for everything though if there was a category for how smooth the game ran you would have lost some points there for sure.
One thing you could have done with that ridiculous tongue is make it so we can use it as a grappling hook for short periods of time and swing ourselves around the map, that would have been A+
Very hard, but I loved :D
@gexalmighty Thanks for the feedback, if you experienced some fps drop i'll suggest you try our Exe file for either PC or MAC, for a full , lag-free, experience :). I think the tongue will serve some purpose in the futur, your suggestion is very interesting.
Too much fun and I love the graphics. In two games the character got glitched but it was even funnier hahaha
Graphics are really nice and I enjoyed the goofy controls. I hope you work on this in the future :)
Oooh, I do like the visuals, and the music fits so well! I didn't find it too innovative, though. But nice entry!
It was a lot of fun. The graphics are great and the game play is simple. I can't say I really liked the music, but it got WAY better after the first time mark. Overall very well done.
Wow, that's a addictive game! Couldn't stop myself playing it until i found out what happens after 2 minutes. The visuals and overall aesthetics are cartoony and goofy, which is great and goes well with the physics-based gameplay. A couple suggestions i have aside from fixing bugs: * I think that the best strategy is to take it slow, and stay on each platform as long as possible, while the best moments i had with this game were when i was rushing from a falling platform on another one, i think that the gameplay should encourage these kinds of situations * Sometimes the jump doesn't feel right, like when you are touching both the floor and the wall and jump button sends you flying sideways or up in the sky, that feels really unfair.
Great job! P.S. I tried to find out what you meant by using tongue and while looking for some kind of button related to it, i smashed E a couple times, that was fun
@artish357 wooops ! You found the magic button !!! *screaming internally* ^^
Thanks for the detailed feebacks, i 100% agree with all you said and that's what we will be aiming for in the future ;)
@anstabo ahhh also forgot to mention, i kinda overlooked the controls before i played it, it's probably worth putting the usual loading screen between the main menu and the level itself on the first launch!
Give it a go! Not bad, you have nailed the mood and the setting that for sure! Love the low-polly style when done well, great colors and effects! Really like the silly character design too. It does not need to make much sense if it's just fun :)
The game itself is fun to play, but as artish357 mentioned above, the best tactic is really just to take it very slow, and is rather boring. Love the cannon! But it does not really force me forward very well. Maybe implement a waypoint/pickup system? Or have stuff you stand on start to get more and more unstable so standing still becomes a real issue.
Hope to see more! Cheers.
Excellent balance of well-executed graphics and smooth gameplay. Well done! Got a kick out of the avatar lolling about all over the place.
Love the artwork and how goofy the player is. Really fun! It may sound wierd, but i used a combination of the controller, mouse and the keyboard and this was the most effective for me... but it was fun multi-tasking XD.
What a nice job you make here! I loved the idea and how the animations and musics sounds. I've just played the web version and wanna play some more, then I think you fullfill the intention of a web demo.
Congrats! Keep the good work
Thanks for muting the normal tune melody with explosive heavy metal. Excellent graphics and choice of colors.
Nice game! the 3D graphics are nice even at low polygon. The relax background music contrast well with the cannon shot, help a lot with the mood. The game was challenging and fun too.
Really nice graphics! The game is also pretty fun. Good job guys!
Awesome beautiful little game that i love !! It took me a few games to live more than 10 seconds but it is so fun. Great Job !!
Really nice graphics to think you could make a game this polished in such a short amount of time. It would of been nice to have goal instead of just surviving but maybe that is something you will have when you have more than one level also some sort of menu system so that you can close the game instead of using alt_F4. Well done on the really nice looking game guys.
Good game. Cluster Truck style. It's a bit laggy on the browser but that was fun too. I really liked to see an easier level for starters. Or a tutorial!
Since everyone is saying nice things, Im gonna give you some usefull criticsm instead.
The boat shooting at me, should be visible right from the start. So when Im going forward at the start, I should see the ship in the distance shooting right at me. That way you establish that there is a ship shooting, and that it's aiming at you. The level looks good, but it doenst have any sense in its design. There is no starting easy, learning how the character moves at the start, followed by harder and harder getting parts, which test what you learned earlier. (Thats really hard for a gamejam, still Im criticising the game in general, not in the context of you making it in 72h). I didnt understand how the physics or movement of my character worked. I got a tipp once "use your tongue". But that was all the help I got. Even in your description, someone like me who wants to understand, wont find anything about the mechanic. How does it actually work? o.O
So there are some things you can improve upon, not that you didnt do a good job already :) Cheers
the graphigs are realy gooood and nice and fun game
Very sweet graphics and the tongue is a nice touch! In a platformer where the jumping is the key feature it feels kind of broken though, as if you touch anything it appears to bounce you off its normals so sometimes I'd be just careening to my doom due to accidentally touching something else. With more polished controls this would be great!
Very fun and challenging game with great graphics
When I almost jumped to the next pier, I felt excited! If you continue to develop this, when I tried rolling and jumping and didn't reach the next pier, I felt unclear how to jump farther.
Nice graphics but it's hard to play. Especially with a french keyboard. I tried with a controller but can't rotate view. Too bad. And I don't understand the link with the theme. Nevertheless, concept is good and need only few adjustment to make it a good game.
A bit lag on WebGL but nice graphics, level design is also good too. Well, you guys could try my game too. xD
It happened again XDScreen Shot 2018-08-14 at 7.10.02 PM.png
Can we have the soundtrack?
Great job! I wish it was a little more clear that I was trying to just survive as long as possible rather than get somewhere. Once I realized that though, it was really fun!
I liked the graphics and music! Especially the tongue and the player stretching if you go faster!
It was a bit difficult to control, and it felt like you could go faster than usual when you're jumping. Could be not applying a speed limit? I found it a bit easier to bait the cannonballs out in the first area for a while, then proceed to the next area.
Overall though, I enjoyed the game!
Fun, tricky game with some nice simple but effective songs to back it up and some really good graphics! Controlling the character was difficult but I enjoyed it. However, the jumping was a bit frustrating at times, especially on moving objects. I got the visual bug some people got above as well, and for nitpicking it's "42nd" not "42th" just so you know. Great work, I loved the post-2 minute part!
Really nice graphics. Reminds me of Angry Birds a little. I would actually buy this game. 3 things I'd fix/add: - let the player start with an easier path to get use to the controls. - let the left-mouse-click be the jumping button. - change the ball avatar into a running Indiana Jones type of character
Apart from that... even thought the concept is simple, it was fun and exciting to play.
I can not believe it was made in 3 days! The tongue attracted me, I enjoyed the beauty of the stage, and I lost my time by the superb difficulty of the game. I thought the limited time improves replayability. Great work!
Haha... very good and fun idea, but it reminds me on Subway Surfer game. Overall good job!
Neat concept. I would have liked the controls to be a little more "responsive" and it was lagging at times. I liked the graphics. Overall, good job!
Pretty game! love the graphics and music. It's difficult for me.
This is a hell of a ld game! :D And i'll ignore all the issues it has, because I CAN'T STOP PLAYING IT! :D
@wowa Yes, it's pretty difficult but when you spend the two minutes, there, hell really begins ^^
@oneiros Totally! And the worst / best part of this is, if you fail .. again.. and again and AGAIN :D and still thinks "DAMN IT!! .. ok i'll try it for the last time" .. and dozens fails later you think it again :D
@wowa Glad you enjoyed the game dude ;)
Nice game! Nice take on the theme, and grahics are really nice, Well done !
Really cool game! Should win the fun category!
Most of this game is a very polished cool fun game, that is tugging on my nostalgia strings of "Marble Blast Ultra" I found the jumping had some issues, I'm not sure if it was to do with the surface I was on, or if I was technically still falling, but it would do these weird "micro" jumps at times. I've got to say, very disappointed it didn't have controller support :/ Still though really good entry great job
Love the music, but it would be awesome if there was a shadow where the cannon ball was going to fall.
Lol, got to -1:-37. Interesting how rolling around quickly was fun, yet the best strategy was to go along as slowly as possible.
cool!
@rkuhl that's actually a pretty good and neat idea for the game ! Thanks for sharing your idea man
I had to play the WebGL version cause there's no Linux build, and as other commenter's have mentioned, the WebGL build is not ideal. I didn't manage to finish, but from what I saw, the graphics look beautiful and the music fits the mood very well! It was difficult to control at first, but I got better over time.
I really like this post and how I love hearing their testimonies. [Slope unblocked](https://slopeunblocked.co) is a platform for playing blocked 3D video games.
