@huvaakoodia Thanks! We always deliver. We're happy to have made you chuckle too <3
@toonteamj Hum... Its a feature ! - Alternatively, you're god, so it's perfectly fine to skyrocket on a ladder - More seriously, we also found that bug but it was this or you got stuck on top of the ladder when you tried to jump.
And in fact, the miracles are quite lethal - fun fact, it is possible to kill with spark -
Really good game, even if it's pretty hard to dislodge a piece of meat that got into your throat without being chewed. Sadly, I don't have any other living human with me at this time, so I can't test multiplayer, but I imagine it can be even better
It seems better, in fact (even if I've never had this problem with candies, though, works with meat)
Good game, I got bored at the last levels, but I think it's just because I'm not in a puzzle game mood. Oh and nice take on the theme
What did I just play? What happened? What is the meaning of life? What is the meaning of *my* life? What events took place in the first place to make me play this game and finish it, TWICE? I just... I need to get out... *opens the door and hear this scream from hell* Well, I guess I'll just get out by the window *opens the window, and goes out. From the second floor.*
@iokin Properties, permissions, check allow executing as a program; then you should be able to open the file
@arche-san thanks, how do you get stuck at phase 3 (hint, this phase is really easy, I mean, easier than you think) and what happened when it crahed?
@arche-san Maybe you hit two directional keys at once, it systematically makes the game crash and it's a bug we couldn't fix. And yeah, in fact, it's easier than you think (I didn't design the boss, and I nearly got fooled)
Hey, you stole our idea! Or at least part of it. More seriously, nice game, I love the fact that you can type on your keyboard while playing and see the keys being pressed on the screen. On the downside, I'm not fan with the pixel perfect design, and I'm not sure whether it is possible to beat level 4
It's so heartbreaking to have such a good intro (I want the lyrics of this intro song), with a such a poor gameplay (which is ok, but way too far from what the title screen announced) that's not even in the theme. I sincerely hope next time you will do something that matches the quality of this gorgeous intro
Did you really mean to opt in for humor? Whatever, the graphics are pretty neat and the game is ok. It just gets a bit boring when you notice you can easily beat the game by only using thunder wall. By the way, you have to hold the left mouse button before clicking on the right one in order to use your special, which is contrary to what's said in the controls
@veilastrum welp, my bad, you can use your special without holding the left mouse button, you just need to be very carefull with your energy
This game is hard, but it's cool. By the way, there is a typo in the game page, "them*e Running out of space" below the game window
This game is hard, yet I managed to beat it (score: 470). It's easier when you split a game in two phases: the first one when you build your stuff up, without shooting the boss, and the second one when you shoot at the boss like there was no tomorrow. You really feel you're running out of space, and I kinda like the music, imo it adds a sense of despair while having a plant growing and taking all your space. The only downside I can find, is that the dash is hard to use. Maybe the graphic could be a bit better, but they are coherent, so it doesn't matter that much
Might be the best entry for this jam I've seen so far, well polished and a good learning curve. Great job
Nice game, special mention to the graphist. Too bad you the only joke is in the concept, you could have used the background to add a few more jokes. The game also lacks some incentive for trynig not to miss, but all in all, I played 5 times and I could continue without any problem (btw, my high score is 2450), so yeah, it's a good game
The idea is good and I love the music. However, there are quite a few details that go from not that bad to ruining the game, namely: - You should have added some sounds to the game - Not everyone has an azerty layout, you should have added some alternative controls, such as wasd - The run phase is not really responsive and the trigger is not that clear, at first, I thought the trigger was the ship - The ship phase, in the contrary, is way too easy, to the point you can easily have a perfect to go to the end. By the way, being able to see the square hitbox of the ship might not be the best thing, and I guess you didn't have time to do good textures for the asteroids - Last but not least, when you hold the space bar, your S.P.A.C.E; bars are consumed at a rather impressive pace, which means when yo want to change your game mode, you have to spend at least 3 bars, i.e. you can effectively change phase only once. You sould spend a S.P.A.C.E. bar only when you press your space bar, not when you hold it. As it is clearly a bug, you can clearly publish a new version with this bug fix.
By the way, don't forget to rate some games and to give some feedback or you won't be rated back as no one will play your game (mostly because no one will see it)
Hey, got your map @alexrose! Was a bit puzzled by your hint at first, but I guessed the trap before making a mistake and got your booty first try.
Really good game, with great execution, only caveat where having to draw is a bit time consuming, but it's lovely to craft something you will hand to someone else
Really great game, excellent humor. It feels really nice to play, even when stuck on an AZERTY keyboard (even when switching my system to QWERTY, the computer still registers the physical position of the WASD keys, which is really uncomfortable). If you want to take us pesky frenchies into account for your next game, you may want to add a secondary binding for ZQSD or straight up arrow keys on top of the WASD.
Found a softlock if you click on the clicky teleport button before the tutorial allows you to shoot or move.
The voice acting really brings everything together, although I will have to dock half a star on audio for this glorious music in blue's workshop, simply out of principle. I will add it back to humor though
Congrats, you managed to make me enjoy easy-mode minesweeper, with forced 50/50s, sub-par auto-uncovering (angles of 0 mines tiles don't get revealed as they should) and without chording. I mean it without an inch of sarcasm, normally any of these aspects would be a deal-breaker for me, but the polish is good enough, and everything works well enough to be actually enjoyable and chill, with an allowance for being a little sloppy and playing vibe minesweeper
Wow, first of all, thanks everyone for the positive-despite-the-bugs-feedback.
Then, just to ask @zettasimp @alpalcalad to be sure this is an actual bug that was not noticed during testing and not intended game design, did they ask for items that was never to you, or were they items that were given, but you didn't have the time to put them in your bag / threw without it being asked in the first place / broke because you smashed a sword in a potion / got bugged out of the bag because of a random glitch in this (indeed) really glitchy game ? The former would be a bug, the latter is because the adventurers assume you have the item
Well, that sure was, uh, something? Going for a FMV game is always something I admire. I will say though, I can't really understand what the plague doctor is saying behind the mask
Pretty impressive scope for this amount of time, and only two people on the team. I'm even more impressed that you managed to make a rhythm game work responsively on a web version.
I was going to complain that the game lacked fail states, but apparently, given the comments, I'm good enough to not fail once (except for the pursuit), despite being very sloppy during the last two rhythm portion.
I need to add that the game was really sweet
Ah, so frustrating that it's so short. The sound is good, the graphics are great, the confidence mechanic has some potential, but that's just a really short intro without any actual payoff. Next jam, you may want to go for a less polished experience, but that can reach its payoff. I will definitively try to keep an eye on where you bring this idea
The mouse sensitivity is way over-tuned, I nearly gave up because of it. Not knowing what to do in the first place and having to guess what each power did was pretty frustrating too. Not knowing which route to take once I gave myself the goal to go higher was another near-quit point. I ended up winning, without any crash and not that many lag spikes, while using proton 7.0-6 to run the game (if any other linuxian wants to try the game).
I will add that having to wait for the platform you spawned to disappear before being able to spawn a new one is pretty frustrating towards the end, where (in one of the possibly several paths you can take to get to the end, don't know, gave up in my search for another one) you have to use 3 of them in a short succession. Still, the graphics are pretty good
It's a pretty fine game that takes some time to get the hang of, but once you get it, it's pretty easy. You may want to indicate the link is for the web version, add an image for your game on your page to not have anything show as the thumbnail, and opt-out of the categories you don't compete in (such as audio and probably humor) as well as the ones you aren't eligible for (don't know if you used any asset you didn't make for your graphics, so I won't assume)
Cool game, a bit too short. Would love to have more of it. The music is a bit too low compared to the sound effects, it would benefit from some balance, to be able to blast your ears without straight up killing them with the SFX
Bruteforced the first two rounds, understood the concept and rules for the last two, went back to understand the rule of the first round, still no idea for the second one. Very simple and efficient
That game is pretty good, although way too infuriating because of some very small choices.
Am I seeing some undertale and project moon boss fights inspiration ? That Sans pattern during the third fight sure did open back some wounds.
I feel it would have been better if you could immediately retry the combat you failed at instead of having to go back through the gauntlet, and I'm a little sad the interact button is mostly useless, except for ticking down status effects (unless I'm missing something), which contributes to making the game pretty frustrating. There's also the fact of having a dominant strategy of using bottom left, bottom left, bottom right, bottom right, to win each combat with the less risk. The other options just aren't worth it.
Sadly, I didn't have the patience or skill to reach the end, that third combat with double attacks each round is too much for me, and having to restart from the first one doesn't help. But I will say, the graphics are indeed gorgeous, and that "not accepting bullying masquerading as teasing" story line did strike a cord.
You can all be proud of your first jam game (if you didn't participate in a jam other than LD beforehand)
The graphics are pretty cute (with a really good and efficient palette), not being able to move vertically is... Interesting to say the least, the directional up or down attack/defense is pretty confusing at first, but once again fine and with its own challenges. Some music would indeed make it better, but I will add that you can opt out from some categories (like sounds) if you don't participate in it (like not having any sound). A will second the fact there is a pretty serious bug in your health not resetting when dying, so you have to reload your page. Overall, a decent first compo
I see you too went for the recursive bag of holding route. Well, we didn't have the time to implement it in a way that really sold the recursive aspect, but it was our first intention, I swear! Anyway, pretty good head scratcher, with fine humor. I will say the staff of tedium was a little too tedious. I did manage to go past the length of the FIFO bag once during said puzzle. Wouldn't know how to reproduce, it though, and it didn't change anything anyway.
BLT/5 Stars, good first compo
Edit : Well, anyway, good first game published on this account (I swear, even if this metric if a lie I... Will do nothing about it, but still be mad)
