Good art and writing. Sadly very short, but I enjoyed exhausting every piece of dialogue and seeing the endings.

Ah, so frustrating that it's so short. The sound is good, the graphics are great, the confidence mechanic has some potential, but that's just a really short intro without any actual payoff. Next jam, you may want to go for a less polished experience, but that can reach its payoff. I will definitively try to keep an eye on where you bring this idea
@trocentraisin Hah yeah I definitely agree with that sentiment. Unfortunately it was just me on the programming and writing (with a notable exception on the main menu, thanks ben!) so I had to make the call to finish the tech before the story, so that I wouldn't end up leaving out the many beautiful assets that my teammates created for the jam. It's is definitely a shame that the meat of the story that I was planning just couldn't make it in under the constraints though. I've already started working on the full version though, so it shouldn't be too terribly long before it's out! Thanks for caring!

Wow, it looks like a promising game, I really hope you can finish it! Is it true you're going to do voice acting? Do you have an itch.io page where we can follow updates? As for the game, congratulations, the art is stunning, the music is exceptional, and the dialogues are very well written and scripted. I might suggest making the text a bit larger or at least allowing customization of the font size, but again, huge congratulations on the game, it's really well done, great entry and great game!

Short and sweet! I really like the art style and music. I can absolutely see this turn into something more fleshed out with a deep story with what you have already. Nice job with what you have so far! Keep going!

The art style is great, and I feel like everyone makes games about the way we connect romantically with people, but true friends, these are for some reason not something we see around often. Definitely would love to see the advanced version of this with voice acting and structure. Oh and I tried all the paths, definitely like how the music works here, shame I couldn't see the longform consequences for my acts!

I replayed it a couple times since I got an ending within two clicks and felt a bit silly haha. It's neat for how short it is right now. Looking forward to seeing the full voice acting and more fleshed out story though!

I really liked the art and the music, managed to get the music to change with confidence drop to 0. I agree with the others that it would be better to have a much less polished but slightly longer experience showing what the Confidence mechanic really did (here, it looked like dropping it to 0 was actually a good thing!). For future version, I think it would be interesting to see what you do about that mechanic - maybe with different narrative outcomes (and no clear fail states!) for going very low, very high, or keeping the balance. Interested in where you take this!

@helloimbenjamin Me too! I'm a good way into writing the next section and I'm really enjoying exploring all the different paths and mechanics that I introduced in the first version!
@outstar Appreciate the feedback! I'm definitely enjoying running with the idea of exploring what low vs high confidence does to the narrative with what I've written up so far for the next section (the scope creep is crazy XD). The current intention is that the more confidence you move into the next section with the more options you'll have but the worse your situation. Still working on striking a balance there, but it's been super fun to write for. Thanks for playing! (And there's actually four music tracks total!)
