I don't really like games with long dialogues, but the visuals were quite good. The music mechanic was fun.

This game makes me feel like I'm in a dream. Mechanics have been utilized that play nicely. Thank you for your game!
Long dialoges, but cool gameplay, fnf reference omg
I rly like rhythm games, great job!
Beautiful art, beautiful music, great story telling! Really enjoyed this one!
Art is quite nice, you definitely got pleasing forms!
this is amazing! i was afraid to make a mistake when i pressed the arrows and i really liked the music. unfortunately i couldn't put everything in its place. but i still really liked everything. thanks for the experience. super cool job
Nice way of staging a dream, i like it. im stuck at the piano part idk why. in your screenshots, it seems like you've done so many other things. anyways, nice visuals and super nice animations. the writing was cool too (text box was a bit weird in such a bright drawn backgrounds). the music seemed interesting. good job!
It's incredible this was made in such a short time! This feels like it should have taken weeks to make. The rhythm game was very smooth and fun, the music was great, the art was great, the story was engaging and emotional, it was all just so impressive and just wow. Great game!
Wow, what a polished looking game! Athmosphere and artstyle are great. I somehow got stuck in the second stage of the tidying up minigame :/ but I think I might have missed something? However the dialogues were not too long for me at all - I expected something else after I read the comments before playing. I'm really bad in rhythmn games, so I am very happy about the screenshots of the end of the game. I also would be very interested in a "let's play" video XD
Couldn't get past the club, music and timings were off and the dialog about "Cool! Experimental! But we want original" kept popping up. That's a real bummer, I got too invested too quickly. Despite other commenters I kinda liked the dialogs and the plot itself. Great job you guys did!
Wow, there is a lot of work and a lot of love going into this one!
First of all, amazing job on the narrative design. I loved how immersive it goes leading you more and more into the story, it feels natural given the complexities of the story and how much text there is - which btw, I love as I come from point and click days. I so did not expect a game like this on a jam entry
The music was great, and I kinda wished there was more of it. Some of the dialogue scenes could have had some sort of ambience to it to give it more of a mood, but regardless, fantastic job combining this into the design. I am not one for rhythm games, but this was really fun
And last but not least, my favorite part, the art. The backgrounds are mad lovely, the characters are great, I love the aesthetic and the artwork style - hands down what drove me to check it out and quite frankly glad I did, because it's perhaps the most charming game I have played today
Voted, loved it - and congratulations on your first Ludum Dare ♥
Awesome art and fun guitar-hero gameplay!
The story seems really interesting too, but I got stuck on the second clean-up puzzle unfortunately. There wasn't any feedback whether something was placed or placed correctly so I couldn't figure it out. I also thing there might be an issue were you can't move incorrect items anymore. I'll be back to try it again tough as I really want to see the rest of the story
Can’t get past the second piano part, but I love the music, and it looks like there’s a lot more gameplay to explore. Not sure what I’m doing wrong, I might just be bad at rhythm games 😅. Anyway, amazing visuals, audio, and story elements! Great job for a first Ludum Dare entry!
Really struggling with the lack of feedback on the piano section, specifically the 2nd. A "Good" "Perfect" notification would be ideal or even a "fail" gauge as it seems like I could just spam all buttons to win but even missing few notes also fails and restarts. If the goal was to have the character narrative play that section 3 times then as the player I need more feedback as it feels like a bug or an annoyance instead. Wish I could see more of the game but I'm not looking to perfect the minigame for a 4th time.
Pretty impressive scope for this amount of time, and only two people on the team. I'm even more impressed that you managed to make a rhythm game work responsively on a web version.
I was going to complain that the game lacked fail states, but apparently, given the comments, I'm good enough to not fail once (except for the pursuit), despite being very sloppy during the last two rhythm portion.
I need to add that the game was really sweet
Really ambitious scope for a game jam - the gameplay and visuals changing along with the narrative was something you don't see often in this little time.
I found the game a little slow sometimes. There were a lot of long pauses where not much gameplay or story was happening. The rhythm minigames also felt off - they seemed to either get de-synced over time or just be timed weirdly, because in order to pass I had to press *really* late on a lot of the notes.
I liked the story, the art and overall had fun playing! Tho there is a bit irritating moment with rhythm mini games — feels like the buttons are late for about 0.15sec
I can't really say much about the story, because i just clicked through it (Im not into stories at all, I'm sorry). However, I do like the art a lot. With the Gameplay, I'm really struggling with the 2nd Piano Part. I think some kind of feedback on how good you are hitting the keys would be nice, since I had no idea what I did wrong but it felt right to hit the keys in the moment the tone was played which was obviously not the case since I cant get past the 2nd Piano Section which I would still consider really easy (I played some osu mania, by any means, im not an expert, but even 3 star songs there are way harder than that). Its a pity I cant get further because I wanted to try the other challenges. Oh, also, which is probably just a preference thingy, the scrolling of the arrows was waaaay too slow for me, but I 'm just used to the fast scrolling in Osu. I would also prefer another Button Layout (d,f,j,k, so you can play with both your middle and index fingers), but like I said, thats just a preference.
Edit: Okay, I managed to do the other Rythm Game Sections, but I had to disable the sound because my clicks wouldve needed to be way out of rythm, which messed with my head when i had the music playing. The tidying Sections were fine, but i felt like i had to click about 5-6 times on an object that i didnt quite place right until i could pick it up again to place it somewhere else which felt a little unresponsive. Other than that, I liked the Game, especially the rythm game parts, even though i struggled a little with the last one, since im not used to that button layout.
love this game. Very cozy (except horror part xD). I dont know, should I do something in last guitar part when shadow plays, and I stick a little in last cleaning puzzle part, it was a hard for me. Congrats with good game, and please, add a link to ld site on your itch io page, because I found this game on itch io first in new&popular rhythm games
Sorry I didnt managed to get pass the piano scene, even after 7 tries that I believed was correct... I'm sure your game is aweasome, but I reaally lack of rythm
The feedback of pressing the key is very weak, however, the arts are incredible!
I like your graphics and ideas, but I didn't have a great experience in your gameplay. I didn't get feedback on every tone I knocked down, like if I knocked this one fast or slow. Secondly the music part always feels dissonant to me and I always feel like it's not over. But overall I like your general framework and overall flow design, and it would definitely be a plus to include an ever-present BGM.
Heyyy everyone!
First of all, I want to thank you all for your comments! I still can't believe so many people played our game. Thank you so, so much!
Thank you for all of your feedback, we will work on bug-fix patch to try and make rhytm games more responsive and in sync, and also fix some colliders on cleaning mini game!
Little long for a jam game, but it kept me mostly engaged. Very nice art, the organizing part had me confused the second time since I figured I'd be putting things back to the original way but you did say to organize it by color and size. Definitely an impressive game. The music and idea remind me of To The Moon and Finding Paradise games, not saying you took inspiration from them just mentioning them in case you haven't heard of them, they're also story driven games with decent background music.
Fantastic job! Really liked playing it. Way more different mechanics in here than I was expecting, but that's not a bad thing. The music charts felt a bit disconnected from the music and coming from a DDR background it was tough for me to not see the right column as the right arrow on the more frantic songs, but overall it was still playable for me. The music was also great!
This seems like a lot of work for one weekend I think you all did a stellar job. Keep up the great work!
I loved it so much !!! I really like the mix you did between narration and rythm and the story was really good. I liked the visuals and animations too. Congrats !!
I absolutely loved the game! Really solid for a game jam. What I loved about this game is how it splits between rythem game and the rpg/story section. I have not played anything like that since "Rhythm thief and the emperor's treasure" on the 3DS. So this made me invested. The story is interesting enough that it kept me engaged and I liked the character designs.
At the last stage of the rythem game part, I really appricated that the hitboxes and the amount of times I can push the wrong buttons are forgiving (at least compared to what I'm used to). One inconviniencee was that the "->" button is placed on the third column from the left. This is just a personal prefrence, but having the "->" feels more intuitive to have all the way to the right, considering how the arrow keys are placed on the keyboard. Otherwise I really had to focus when more notes were approaching. But it certainly didn't ruin the experience. Again this is really good work considering this is a jam. Great job!
Really cool project! Graphics are super solid, and the whole concept is original and the story has a really nice depth ;) to it. Also liked that not being perfect when playing doesn't stop the story from unraveling. It goes perfectly with the game's message. Well done !
Impressive game about frustration and deep feelings. I really appreciated this musical experience - and all those minigames which are really well done. The main idea is amazing - and you manage the theme with an unusual expectation. The aesthetic is neat. One of my favorites. Thank you for this project. I wish you the best ++
Great game and achievement, I don't have much more to add other than what @5huno-3 said about the placement of "->". I'd prefer it to be on the far right and it really messed with my brain haha. I usually don't play story driven but this was made really well :) Good job!
This was such a different experience, I love your approach to the theme and the story telling and variety in gameplay. The music is awesome and moody (what scale was that piano melody?) and the graphics looks beautiful. You guys did great in such a short time. Amazing teamwork!
Very nice take on the theme, with an interesting and profound story and a lot of beautiful art to go with it! The rhythm minigame I think needs a bit more balancing, since it starts too easy then becomes quite hard suddenly. Also I had a bit of a hard time reading the criticizing ghosts when I was trying to focus on not getting the rest wrong. The organizing minigame was really fun, with all the little different types of puzzles!
Very nice game! Great take on the theme! And quite an amount of work, great job!
Nice little mashup of adventure and rhythm. Musician Jerkface was really dislikable. Good job with the storytelling.
Amazing atmosphere with this game! I think the dialogues are spot on! Not too long, not too short, just spot on to keep you interested without impeding, bravo for that! Sweet visual aesthetic and graphics.
Unfortunately **I got stuck** after the first piano game - I don't understand where I should put the stuff I pick, nothing happens (even if I put everything out of the screen). Could you help out? It's interesting where the story will unfold!
Thank you for the comment, @aweskybear!
You should put everything that's on the floor on places marked with little circles, and a violin on it's special place :) Though first minigame like that can be completed by placing items anywhere you want, second one would require a bit of puzzle-guessing!
Hope it will help you clear it :)
Stunning visuals and a really creative concept! The rhythm sections were fun, though a bit tricky at times, and maybe I wish it would be more synchronize with the song. Great job!

I played your game on stream and had some fun with it!
Beautiful graphics, nice music and some fine story.
I do hope the girl leaves the guy though, because he's a douche. I feel like the game was originally about her realizing his nature and that he was using her, but in the end it suddenly shifted towards "oh he understands me so we're cool" and I think while it's good to end the game on the good note the ending didn't really sell itself to me.
Great work on the game!

@missfire , @teadog, I just finished the game. WOW ! ! ! **WOW !!!**
This is nothing but *incredible*!!! This is one of the deepest games here. What a condescending bastard the violin guy was! But look how that turned out! The club... she is free there!! No mistakes are fatal!
Wow, let me just say this: this is the best psychologically-driven game with the most incredible character transformation I've played/seen so far! A Stockholm syndrome is evocatively depicted - and at the same time so flowy and easy to grasp.
I literally *hated* the guy during the game, which (alone) is incredible to achieve! Then I was BLOWN away by the transformation (that Zephyr revealed and unleashed)! The scene where mistakes couldn't *not* be made and she realized IT's OKAY was climactic. :))
I have not expected such a *subtle* game to pop out of LD! And the execution is also masterful! The music accompaniment was fitting beautifully. I am very glad I came back to it to finish it : ))
Thank you!
That was such a nice game! I struggle a bit with the rhythm sections, but every second was enjoyable.
I forgot that the mouse could be used for the tidy minigame, what a relief trying it.
Congrats on such a wonderful game!
Very cool, nice concept and had fun playing. Love the party girl bopping animation (the art and animation overall was great)
A fantastic little game, story focus is something you don't often see on gamejams. Beautiful art as well!
The fact that making mistakes during the rhythm minigame (and feeling bad for it) echoes the character journey and trauma is a banger idea.
The themes of depression and abuse are tackled quite skillfully and in good taste.
Both minigames are engaging and everything end up being a cohesive and very enjoyable experience.
There is just the right amount of dialogue and story, even if I feel the game ends a little abruptly.
Art is charming and dreamy.
BRAVO
