LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Tiny Mutators Descend by Urfoex 2024-10-15T02:05:09Z

I was ready for another level! This was a fun idea.

Burning Bells - Lilleborg 1259 by xand 2024-10-15T02:21:44Z

This is one of the best games I've played so far. It's got an engaging story, a decent battle system, and the end brought a bit of a tear to my eye. The final boss was fun to beat. My only suggestion is to add gamepad controls with the right stick being the sword swings to match what you did with the mouse aiming.

Lice To Meet You by ruben01 2024-10-15T02:45:53Z

My wife: "Remember, you want to rate as many games as possible tonight." Me: "No, I want to get as far as a jump as possible." licetomeetyou25.7.png I really enjoyed this game. I started with little hops based on the description, but I quickly saw there's only one score: Distance. And then I started playing the real game. I found that there's one lady circling the back of the park and I could aim from her to the far entrance where there would be groups of people. I got a good hop from there. This game could go far if you added more objectives and levels. I got the same feeling playing this as I did with **Kill It With Fire**.

Lice To Meet You by ruben01 2024-10-18T01:23:52Z

I've been trying to beat @t-c, but I can't get it, so I started aiming for landing in the large takeout container. Turns out the best I can do is land and roll off due to the shape of the hitbox.

Screenshot 2024-10-17 211108.png

I managed to roll up the chopsticks a little and then back down and fell off.

Tiny Creature Blaster by stuckne1 2024-10-15T02:52:54Z

Nice little shooter. I kinda felt bad shooting the limited number of little ankle biters. I thought the mouse sensitivity was low, but it turned out to be necessary for aiming at the tiny things. Nice choice there.

SolarFactory by LarrySeinfeld 2024-10-09T02:52:18Z

The concept is neat, but it doesn't seem to work for me. The instructions say the planet needs to make one full rotation to win, but they don't appear to rotate. I like the idea of having to mix planets and moons to make a planet or moon that meets the alien's criteria.

Wild Ketch by RamboBeans 2024-10-15T03:13:45Z

Fun game, I echo the auto selling idea. I didn't have a score on the end score window though. Played on Windows 11

catching-noscore.png

I don't think the net needed the lag it did since it pops up immediately where you start clicking. Getting the net really shorted the game and got rid of the challenge. I think instead it should be some form of trap you set to augment the use of the fishing rod. While you wait for it to spring, you go back to using the rod.

Dino Island Safari by Skleembof 2024-10-09T02:13:40Z

At first I was not impressed, but the voiceover sold it for me. I wish there was a reload button instead of the automatic delay, but I guess I can just empty the clip while transitioning to force a reload.

This had me giggling and tense at the same time. I like the balance.

walking pet by MegaHana 2024-10-10T01:44:13Z

The cat was very "Interesting". I figured out how to pet it, but then it went in it own direction and prevented me from doing anything. Just like a real cat on a leash.

Hermitiny by KutaryouShinkoku 2024-10-09T00:32:00Z

This is a cool idea. I didn't catch at first that new corals had to be connected to the existing "reef". Made sense once I figured it out. I enjoyed it a lot.

Frecko by cyphix 2024-10-15T03:25:51Z

I had a good jumpscare with the cat. It wasn't much of a challenge in my opinion. The cat could have wandered some more, or maybe additional cats appear as time goes on?

Wink and the Fae by Pious 2024-10-10T01:34:38Z

The art and controls are fantastic. The collect and bank gameplay works well. I do want to point out that your windows version files are incomplete. You uploaded the exe, but not the pck that has your compiled scripts and art assets in it, so the windows version won't run.

Plankton Rush Hour by Void4 2024-10-18T02:52:37Z

I don't think the pheromones actually work. Otherwise, I enjoyed this little Sisyphean story. The text could be better presented (perhaps as intro text at the beginning of each level in addition to the text box showing everything together at the start button screen), but it really illustrated why the levels were becoming more and more impassible. I think there could have been more environment (sand, rocks, etc...) for you to navigate around, but I guess that's the role the phytoplankton was filling. I liked it.

Late Night Capsule Rescue by sourcehorse 2024-10-09T03:03:44Z

Good idea, but the mouse sensitivity is waaaay too high. I'd go to turn and I'd flip as well as I moved the mouse diagonally some.

FireFlies - shoot firefly game by wo_ri_gou_le 2024-10-10T01:22:27Z

The controls were a little unclear, but I figured out to hold down the spacebar to fire. Otherwise it was an interesting game.

Night at the 8th Warehouse (八号仓库奇妙夜) by hidden61ade 2024-10-10T01:11:10Z

The atmosphere and light mechanic made for a neat experience. The controls were frustrating though. If my character was touching a wall they either couldn't jump or would only jump a small amount. If my character hit a wall while jumping, they would stop going up. This made for a very painful experience while running from the cat.

Hundreds & Thousands by willianfhs 2024-10-10T00:40:12Z

I had a lot of fun playing this one. The art style was perfect for the setting and charmed me right away.

Tiny Titans by Spear 2024-10-15T01:56:29Z

I love this concept. I unfortunately can't get a crew together to try it out multi-player. After playing solo, I can definitely say it's a multi-player game only. I did encounter a bug where if I lowered the hand into the box, it got locked there. I could not remove it and had to go hit the reset button.

Screenshot 2024-10-14 215223.png

Small Mouths, Big Appetites! by BethwellStudios 2024-10-15T01:35:02Z

antsupremacysmaller.png I had to go cookie clicker on the right mouse button to do this. My main criticism is that there was no feedback, visual or auditory, that I could tell that would let me know I was actually hitting an enemy. I don't know if they all had one hit point or multiple. I eventually was just clicking like mad and hoping I was hitting. Fun little game otherwise.

gmO- by James-Tanm 2024-10-09T02:06:45Z

I haven't beat it yet, but it's a great challenge. I'm going to keep this one and try again later.

Amoebalize by Big Nose 2024-10-10T01:50:12Z

Neat concept. I too had the bug when eating multiple. I Like the limitation of movement caused by not having a down button and just having to wait for gravity.

Terrarium by Sabottage 2024-10-15T01:45:13Z

Neat concept but it feels like it wasn't completed? The get food button works sometimes, but after the single ant gets 10 food, nothing else happens. No more ants are spawned and the help plant button didn't appear to do anything for me.

Turtle Shepard by Tsaot 2024-10-15T03:17:41Z

@stuckne1  I'll let my son know. He came up with that effect himself!

Turtle Shepard by Tsaot 2024-10-15T03:20:09Z

@skleembof I'm getting a lot of comments about the speed. I'll try upping it after the jam judging is over. I was thinking it was incentivizing people to try to turn as many turtles as they could early on to keep from having to go all the way to the back of the beach later on, but maybe the birds I put back there are incentive enough.

kill the cockroaches by Gryaniny87 2024-10-15T01:20:49Z

I too am unable to run the game on windows. It just opens an open dialog. Did you compile correctly for Windows?

LD57 — Depths

What Lurks Below by dxk2294 2025-04-17T02:53:28Z

That is a great clicker! I loved the story progression in it.

Drowning Simulator by Mikeliosus 2025-04-16T01:42:08Z

Nice work for your first solo! I've not braved the 3D space yet in development. The goal was simple to intuit and I will remember to come up for air from now on ;)

P(urple)thulhu vs SHIPS: Tentacle Trouble! by GreatVV 2025-04-15T02:54:05Z

This is a neat puzzle base. I'd be interested to see how it can be expanded upon, like junk you have to place blocks around and different powerup triggers.

Onerous Orbits by Ian McD 2025-04-09T01:54:18Z

This is great! It's nice to see another robot programming game. I like your interface too. The camera button surprised me. I wasn't aware it was a 3D game until I clicked it. Well done!

Subnet by jordantanner 2025-04-10T01:47:21Z

This was a fun arcade game. I like the push your luck aspect in that you have to pick your quitting time for a high score. I can't help but wonder what other "modes" with powerups and enemies might be like. I get slight Pacman vibes from this.

Also: Eat it JTS! Whoever you are. Subnet_Screenshot_2025-04-09_214322.png

Cubethulhu by Flying Dog Fish 2025-04-13T17:32:52Z

Nice platformer. The camera could use some smoothing, but otherwise not bad.

The Dig by ditam 2025-04-16T01:34:32Z

There needs to be a clearer indication of what is going on. It seemed that by randomly moving my diggers around (move, switch, move, switch, move, switch...) the entire dig site was advanced. If instead only the sections my diggers were in advanced, that would make me fell more like I was doing something. Instead I feel like I'm just clicking randomly until a dialog appears.

Grimm Syndrome by Missfire 2025-04-17T02:14:32Z

Nice little mashup of adventure and rhythm. Musician Jerkface was really dislikable. Good job with the storytelling.

Break Down! by hulien22 2025-04-12T01:59:49Z

I got hooked. This is a fun one. I did have a bug where I got my ship stuck, but balls broke me free.

Worm Quest by T C 2025-04-10T03:34:57Z

I pushed through Level 3 and made it to the top. I kind of expected a bit more difficulty thanks to the comments warning about it. There was a lot of retrying. I do agree that some checkpoints would be appreciated.

I did hit a bug where if I wasn't pushed up right against a dirt block, instead of burying myself with the next placed block, it would "stack" on top of the first block as though I were placing the first block again. Effectively, the second block would disappear.

Submarine Waffles by Eugenik 2025-04-15T02:59:37Z

I love the silliness of putting the waffles together. I too had crashes prevent me from playing very much though. the graphics and physics were great though.

The Depths of Gitche Gumee by Deruitda 2025-04-11T02:44:44Z

I thought it was boring. ...I don't know how long I played. I got lost boring through the depths. Nice relaxing game. Good balance with the battery and cargo capacity requiring returning to the surface.

Morally GrayStone Corp by T90. 2025-04-16T02:19:37Z

I got a good laugh paying this one. The "depths" of morals in banking is a neat twist. The character map sprites were well designed. The CFO shaped hole was a nice touch.

Depths of Darkness by SayuriNyooko 2025-04-11T16:47:28Z

I think I need to play in a dark room for this one. I could barely see anything. Maybe some brightness controls?

Into The Dungeon depths by chs_flws 2025-04-16T01:52:32Z

The art and character design is great. I like the concept, but the implementation left me wondering what I was doing. The only choice I had was what door to go through, but then I'd get poisoned and die. I don't think I made it past the 5th floor thanks to the poison.

Dante's Mini-Golf by braktheman 2025-04-13T17:27:13Z

You made a very convincing hell out of minigolf. This is hilarious and I love it.

Flatline by Empyreans 2025-04-17T00:18:27Z

This works so well. It was a pleasure to play.

Project Planetfall: The Exodus Directive by rainbeau 2025-04-12T02:16:02Z

This is a fantastic and ambitious game. I think the mining drill interaction is great. This games would be great multi-player. This is very ambitious and is awesome to see at this level in the jam.

Asteronaut by Leykal 2025-04-16T02:33:11Z

The art is superb. The level design is nice, if a bit cluttered? I'm not sure if it's bad or not. I kept trying to get an orbit going to slingshot, but then I'd run into stuff, but I don't think it'd be as fun if there wasn't stuff to try to navigate around. This game is very easy to understand and difficult to master. It was fun playing it.

Duplo by CrozzY 2025-04-11T16:38:48Z

The art is great and I agree the resource balancing is a good idea.. The controls could need a little work. I don't understand why I needed to click on the character first and then where to go instead of just clicking on where to go. I wasn't able to craft any potions though because I was too busy trying to mine the other materials to prevent the game over.

LootBot Dungeon by Tsaot 2025-04-09T01:27:01Z

Thanks @justine-olshan! There were plans to have a program manger so you could name programs and keep them and copy them to bots but time struck. There were soo many ideas not implemented! I may have gotten too ambitious. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

LootBot Dungeon by Tsaot 2025-04-09T03:23:55Z

@t-c Yeah, I should have explained the return command somewhere. The return command turns the bot around and runs the program backwards to make the bot automatically come back. Otherwise you have to program the return instructions manually.

LootBot Dungeon by Tsaot 2025-04-09T03:25:20Z

I also totally agree on the camera. That's what the entrance camera was supposed to be but ran out of time.

LootBot Dungeon by Tsaot 2025-04-16T01:45:08Z

@haoro I learned that very well this time. I didn't get to loot, buying bots and upgrades, monsters, puzzle-rooms... Heck, the rooms are supposed to be assembled from random walls, doors, and floors, and there is only one type of door, one type of wall, and three types of floor. I totally intend to keep working on this game.

Slime Miners by Kveg 2025-04-16T02:27:27Z

The jump-scare ending gave me a great laugh. Fun little game.

The Shallows by Ljs132 2025-04-16T01:26:55Z

This is a great little diving game. I love the level design. The maze you have to memorize to navigate through works very well with the limited oxygen.

СГ-4: Superdeep by Auto 2025-04-16T02:03:03Z

This is great! At first I was confused as to what was fuel and what wasn't, but it was an easy learning curve on that. The sound design with the beeping on low fuel adds to the tension nicely and the light clicking on when it got dark was a perfect way to pull me in and make me feel my progress. I enjoyed this one.

LD58 — Collector

Lost In Taxation by LeReveur 2025-10-18T22:26:21Z

I see a solid concept here. A kind of coercion based battle system sounds like a really tough go. It'd be neat if you got it set up to your vision.

corvid cache by daniel 2025-10-18T21:14:14Z

This is a nice cozy game. It was a nice way to relax. I definitely think it could be fleshed out into a full game. The controls are very smooth.

Star fleet Telescop by VikFX 2025-10-18T22:32:03Z

Wow. I'd need to have a notebook in front of me to make a honest go at this game. This is some simple but deep gameplay. I like the concept. This is a great simulation game.

The Grand Aquarium by binroot 2025-10-18T22:21:01Z

The fish made me laugh. I like the sillyness of their design. As far as gameplay goes, it actually pulled me in. When I had a tank *die* from exceeding capacity, it had me changing what I was doing. I eventually made the full tank, but I had only three fish in it. Maybe add a dollar goal as well? It would be neat if there was some way to tell if some fish were more valuable than others or if there was some fish that were more aggressive than others. That would require some sort of stocking strategy. I see possibilities in this one.

The Collection Machine by gamesplusjames 2025-10-08T01:20:45Z

I just had one issue where there were two very similar shades of blue and I had a lot of trouble telling them apart. I'd drop a blue in with others and it'd say that colors must match. That day I lost money on. Other than that, decent game idea.

Capital Dungeon by fabY 2025-10-14T01:32:50Z

I enjoyed this one. I died once before finding the King that told me how to actually fight, and then the other how to defend. but "YOU WON amazing, now get out!!"

Tiny Monsters by Helen 2025-10-19T02:01:45Z

I couldn't find the last monster the first time, so I refreshed the page and discovered that the monsters were hiding in different places. I'm not sure what I couldn't find, but I did succeed 3 times after that. Nice job randomizing the hiding places!

IRIS by Frau Blut-Kranz 2025-10-14T00:17:15Z

I had trouble with the up down left right part as well. Your instructions say with the same timing, maybe add in a visual indicator like the flame pulsing to the right tempo?

Taos K.O. by YogurtTheHorse 2025-10-08T01:09:04Z

Decent concept for an auto-battler. The flavor text was entertaining. It's Marc.

Apple Basket by Zliebowitz 2025-10-18T20:05:36Z

This is a nice arcade game. The simple graphics definitely make me feel like it's an Atari game. I enjoyed playing it. I would only say you need to make the button to start a new game not the same as the play buttons. I had a really good run and then didn't see the score as I dashed right as it ended.

@dis0rder they're okay. I like mine better. appleBasket37.jpg :grin:

Rain by T C 2025-10-07T01:43:32Z

Intriguing story. It drew me in pretty well.

Hatsune Miku's Super Lemon Guy by Miku 2025-10-19T02:52:04Z

I gave up after 37 minutes. The platforming is great. The screen scrolling during jumps was not. I am feeling motion sickness from it. I got 30 of the items but there was one thin hall that required a dash jump to the left to clear spikes on the floor and ceiling. However, the DASH button was on Z, right under the left button (A). This made it impossible for me to clear. Repeatedly dying and travelling the many screen scrolls to return to attempt that jump is what got the motion sickness to trigger. There was also one point where the platform I was standing on was below the screen, so I could not see how close to the edge I was. That part was unnecessarily difficult.

The Tiny King Who Had A HUGE Desire For Gold by dagon 2025-10-08T01:43:50Z

This is a good TD! It feels balanced and the buffing/collecting mechanic is a neat one.

A Stamp-Stealer Postman by Pimeko 2025-10-18T21:23:36Z

Great funny game. I loved the silly nature of it.

Biocapital by SunJet 2025-10-18T21:51:09Z

I had a very slow framerate playing this. I think the number of physics objects interacting might have played a part in this. If you can get it optimized, I could see this as a cool puzzle platformer.

Kobolds In Space by WeirdBitGames 2025-10-18T20:54:22Z

The UI is good, but I could not get my mind to click with the gameplay. I understand I'm supposed to go salvage in certain rooms, but I could not, for the life of me, get what I needed from the rooms I was salvaging. I'm not sure where I went wrong.

I don't care who the IRS sends by BlueDandelion 2025-10-18T22:47:43Z

That took a few tries! And it's well balanced enough that buying and selling trinkets was required for me to do it. Nice game!

Crystal Tower Luxogenics by orangeoceans 2025-10-08T01:30:22Z

I have a soft spot for tower defenses. This was a fun one to play. I like how adding new beams makes you have to re-think how your mirrors are laid out to maximize coverage for them all.

Show Me Your ITA! ( by hanarioi 2025-10-09T02:26:02Z

Neat idea. I think the penalty for replacing an item is a little harsh. The art and music reminded me of Puyo Pop.

Super Fly by Tsaot 2025-10-07T02:58:11Z

@mikita-gancharou I need to add more instructions to the description. Grab the frogs by their tongues and drag them to the frog pit you start in.

30 Seconds Till Winter by RazerLazer 2025-10-09T02:40:54Z

I had a good laugh when I came back to a fire I had thought dead and found it running rampant and upside down. Turns out, the real life lesson of making sure your fire is out before leaving applies here too! :D

LD59 — Signal

Asteroid Escape by voidraizer 2026-05-01T03:38:24Z

The time delay from giving commands was great. I really liked the theme of controlling something from earth. It reminded me of what the Mars rovers needed. The velocity meter and direction gage was a definite help. I was able to go to the left to exit the field and then shoot down. I don't know if that was intended, or if I took an unintended shortcut.

Aurora 4: Prelude by ghost-in-the-toast 2026-05-01T04:48:06Z

Nicely done and well-polished. I can't say that it's my genre (I could not get very far), but it looks and plays cleanly. An easy mode where I could take more hits would be appreciated.

First Contact by benskca 2026-05-08T02:17:22Z

This is a great idea, but I had to stop after getting frustrated with drawing the kanji and the box not recognizing it. To be fair, I don't think handwriting recognition is a simple thing to code, so kudos to you. I think I would have been fine with buttons for the different symbols unlocking as they are discovered though. I got to the point where the alien was saying something about die or live.

Safe Haven by PowerAnze 2026-05-01T05:21:23Z

Neat control scheme. I almost think you could simplify it by making each mouse button responsible for moving a girl instead of having to select them. Having the boats orbit the attracting girl was a great choice. It made her a great tool for gentle pushes around obstacles. I wonder what it would be like to play a designed level rather than the endless random waves. Like get x number of boats through a passage kind of thing.

Module Overload by YurisCat 2026-04-24T02:49:20Z

I enjoyed this. It's very Wario Ware/Space Team like to me. The controls were tight, punishing me for shaking the hamster out of the box. All in all, I give it a 107 Signal. I may come back to see if I can beat @oeuegha's score. Screenshot 2026-04-23 224526.png

Green Mike's Bootlegs by Skleembof 2026-05-08T01:49:37Z

The concept is solid. I had a hard time controlling this one though. I tired having extras on me to throw at the farmers, but trying to grab one to throw while juking around was a downright pain.

What's Up? UFO! by picross 2026-04-24T02:26:24Z

My wife and I enjoyed this one. I did find that I could accidentally find the next battery without pinging the radar and then paying to charge up and fire it did not enable the radar. That was kinda funny.

Pouring Rain by T C 2026-04-21T20:38:52Z

An enjoyable continuation of the last Jam's story.

I did struggle with the maze, but the disappearing phone lines helped. I understand now what the script in the book meant, but before I missed that the Cathedral and 4th way were separate steps. I thought the Cathedral was the 4th step.

The art and sound really impressed me. The upside down rain in the house was a great storytelling touch.

Panik Medik by RoxxorXx 2026-04-23T23:52:01Z

This is a great one! I loved the visuals and handling of the ambulance!

Signal Spark by Tsaot 2026-04-21T05:29:35Z

Yeah, I turned the HUD off to generate the art and forgot to turn it back on when exporting the first time. The HUD is on now. I think I could tweak the tower layout a bit to make the level better.

I had to toss out plenty of ideas to make it in time. I wanted to have dialog that acted out a story, health bars and direction indicators in the hud for the squad, and a lot more level art. I was going to have the pawns hop, but is said, "forget it, they're pawns. They slide."

Signal Spark by Tsaot 2026-04-23T23:57:52Z

@acartlidge Yeah, in retrospect, I think I need to do something like what you were saying, or make the left and right mouse buttons handle the signaling and maybe the spacebar for jumping.

@silky Oddly enough, the red pathfinding lines was an accident. I'm just using the baked in pathfinding in Godot and didn't realize that it would leave the debug lines on when exporting the game. I think it's better with the pathfinding lines visible, though.

I'm kinda proud with how the running from damage worked out. When they get hit by a blob projectile, they will make a short path in the opposite direction of where they are aiming, and they aim at the closest blob. I feel like seeing those lines change from the initial path to run away I think helps show that.

Signal Spark by Tsaot 2026-04-23T23:59:43Z

@miclefirst I think you're victim of my confusing control scheme. I've been discussing changes I can do with @t-c and I think I'll do them this weekend and post an updated version (but keep the current version for voting integrity).

Signal Spark by Tsaot 2026-05-01T04:49:20Z

@evil23 @cardboard-box Itch fixed. Itch was being buggy when I originally uploaded and apparently, they decided it was a draft after they fixed their end. It's published now.

SIG[null] by MrF1rst 2026-04-22T14:12:36Z

This one didn't mesh with me. The edges of walls are visible before the actual wall, so I was guessing if it was left or right or up or down rather than actually reacting in time. I did get the large gap jump, that was a neat touch.

SCP-███ - Warehouse by FallenQWE 2026-05-01T03:58:18Z

This horror game does very well. The very start makes you feel small with the size of the signs and the doors, but when you get into the warehouse, you feel normal sized. I played with headphones and the sound was perfect. The music and atmospheric sound set the mood perfectly, and the directional audio on the monster worked great. I loved it and hated it. I died and I deserved to.

You Are His Spellbook by yeah she k 2026-05-01T05:04:16Z

Great premise and greater art. I got tripped up in trying to figure out the spells. I wound up trying to spam 15 for chain lightning, and 14 to bring up a wall, but wound up tripping over my fingers. I imagine with time I could master it. I think I might try again after some sleep.

Fun game. At first I thought I needed to match the wavelength but, no, not that precise, just the shape associated with it. I'm not sure what the inner shields were supposed to block other than the hearts. They did not block the orbs. This is a decent minigame.

A little too simple, I think. I'd like to see a little bit more, like trying to coerce heartbeats out of arrythmia into sinus, or other scenarios that might present a challenge.

Easy to learn but hard to master. Very neat implementation of drawing to produce magic.

I enjoyed this one. The snarky dialog added that one little touch that made me smile as I played.
