Gore! I love gore :3
Edit: Ignore this
Inspirationally simple!
I won with 96% suspicion.
I appreciate the touch of the animals having different sprites for stages of growth. I love Tamagotchi. So this is a little like that but with butchery.
bawk bawk bawk
Hello! I played your game! Very morbid but funny, I managed to fill up the blood tank on my second run, I was a bit confused by the bar on the left and what made that go up, was it just time?
Anyway, good entry and impressive as a compo!
I would play the hell out of this on my phone. Can I get an Android app??!! This was so much fun.
YES! Drink their blood!
So fun, I like it
Very well rounded entry. Gotta love thoses mouth sound effect! It is veary easy to figure out that the best way to win is to use cow :) Since time is the biggest problem in regard to suspicion, the best way to win is to go fast!
Nice submission, managed to win it in the first run! Loved the sound effects and I enjoyed finding the balance between visibility and production. :) Good job!
The combination of dark humor and simple mechanics makes the game super fun. I love how the different animal sprites add depth to the gameplay - it's like a dark twist on Tamagotchi! 😄 The sound effects are hilarious and really enhance the experience. This game would be a blast as a mobile app - please make it!!!
However, there is not enough balance. I mostly raised chickens, but I don't see any point in buying other animals. Especially the last paddock. I bought one, and that's quite enough. but I liked the game
@imai-time Balance is definitely something that I knew was an issue. By the time I got to sunday I was too exhausted to go back for it. I think next time I would start with balancing the game with 2 animals and giving them good pros and cons before adding in the third
Fun game with an interesting premise!
I haven't beat it yet, but it's a great challenge. I'm going to keep this one and try again later.
98% suspicion... But i made it :D I think pigs are trap animal!
Would be such a nice game to play on my phone. Really liked the art work and the gameplay, kept me on my toes the entire time. Really nice game overall!
A game with a complex system for such a short time. It's very well done!! The art and sound are very funny and make the whole atmosphere of the game fit together very well! Congratulations!!
I loved the sound effects, they were hilarious! Someone mentioned balance, but I wonder if it would help to have a score aside from just a win-lose condition? That way you could have a secondary condition where you have to find the best strategy to make the most points.
I tried playing through the game with chickens-only, pigs-only, cows-only (plus two pigs), and a mixed strategy:
- An all-chicken strategy doesn't work at all. The 2 net blood doesn't deliver nearly fast enough to keep up with the gradual suspicious increase. However, the Chickens seem potentially useful for maxing out the early game, when you can't fill all the pins with pigs or cows.
- The all-pig strategy just barely worked. I bought the two upgrades, and made sure not to replant my pigs when the suspicion got around 80%, and I won with about 96% suspicion.
- The all-cow strategy (plus two pigs to pay for the cow) worked a lot better than all-pigs. I bought all three upgrades, and ended the game with only around 75% suspicion.
- For the mixed strategy, I was able to get the suspicion level down to 68% for the win, by starting with a pair of pigs, then a second pair of pigs, then adding cows as fast as I could (and also buying one upgrade). Ended the game with one cow and a pig to just barely reach 500 blood.
Seems like the ideal strategy for lowest suspicion is to start with pigs, transition early to cows, and then use some mix at the very end to reach 100% blood with as little margin as possible. Not sure if there's a different strategy you'd use if you're going for speed rather than suspicion, maybe all-pigs?
I guess all that to say, the game was balanced enough to have possible reasons you'd use each of the animals (maybe excepting the chicken).
@sudocoffee wow, thanks for putting in so much time and thought :) I tried to make sure no animal was completely useless, but definitely wanted there to be a reason to use more than just the chickens, so the all chicken strategy was definitely dev nerfed, haha. Glad to hear it did end up having multiple paths to victory though!
As for reasons to go with various strats, my original goal was to have periodic events which would alter the ratios of price, time, and suspicion which would encourage people to go down different paths. but the time crunch comes for us all :(

Interesting concept! I managed to beat the game (barely) using a chickens (they kinda suck) then switching to cows ASAP, with two extra slots.
This was a fun game. I wish there was a little more you could do to mitigate suspicion.
I liked it. The play time was short, but the rules seemed well balanced. Not sure why people would find it suspicious for a farmer to slaughter pigs, though...
There should have been a particle effect when harvesting the animals. A shower of blood would have been both satisfying and hilarious, I think.
@sutt00 noted :)
@henk its funny, if I do continue on and juice up this game that was the first thing I was thinking about adding. That and giving the sprites an idle animation to make them feel a bit more alive
my friend told me this, really fun
noice, a quick fun game
Sounds are cute. Gameplay could use some depth. trying to optimize for the best final suspicion, like @sudocoffee did could be fun, though.
lost, lost, and lost again. Little did I know that only cow was the answer. Go cow, go cow. Go only cow and win.2024-10-23 12_09_06-gmO-.jpg
