I wasn't able to figure out if it was better to pay for the cheaper ones so I just bought the metal ones.

A very addictive idle game. It seems to me that it adheres to the genre's standards. The music is perfect for the game. It's hard to stop playing ;-)

Ayyy I win!(?) Maybe we all lose. Very cute game, was a little unbalanced but that was totally fine given it's a game jam game and its nice and short. Was fun optimizing and upgrading my way to the top. Cute art as well! Cool to see a game made in love2d! (I assume, given the logo on the website).

Dang, I was hoping I could push the slimes faster, but then it ended.

Liked the Music and the game was fun.

I loved the final text about natural resources haha, good and counscious humour. The game is simple and fun. Nice work.

I love idle clickers, thanks for the game it was really cool ! Nice humour too hahaha

RIP natural resources. But numbers must always go UP and the factory must GROW. :chart_with_upwards_trend:

Is there any reason to build anything other than metal slimes? :D

The game had random slowdowns from time to time, but nothing too major. It just slows down for about 3 seconds every 2 minutes or so, then goes back to normal (tried both chromium and firefox).

Very fun! I love idle games.

I did notice-- every 1-2 minutes, I'd get a 2-3s massive lag spike.

gamurmakesgems 2025-04-10 05:41

Plays well, intuitive, but as others mentioned, there are random lag spikes.

verttixpertti 2025-04-10 08:50

There's a beginning of a nice game here but with the absence of any danger or urgency or way to lose it feels pretty empty.

Fun little Idle game. Liked the pixel art and the basic resource idea seems cool even though it wasn't extended very far.

Also liked the closing screen.

On Chrome/Windows: sometimes slims higher up the Y axis appeared over slime below them which messed with the perspective a bit.

marudziik 2025-04-10 10:38

The land is now dead, well done. I tried to make them go at light speed, and didn't expect an ending. Yeah, the game misses some sort of danger or a way to loose (or maybe I'm so good at it). Liked the graphics, sound was fine as well. I also experienced performance drops every 30s or so. Great entry, thanks!

Had a lot of fun playing this on my stream at: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2428803190?t=1h10m7s

Very similar to our game in the whole idle natural resource extraction thing. I think making it a little clearer how much each one is bringing back would go a long ways. Personally I'm partial to little numbers that float up and fade away where they deposit.

floppynub 2025-04-11 00:48

Awesome game, had a lot of fun watchin my dudes run back and forth. I did get the feeling that the lift upgrade was way more impactful than the speed upgrade but I don't actually know and I got a bunch of both anyways for maximum number go up lol great work, solid entry!

kveg 2025-04-11 16:39

@floppynub Whenever I played through it I would go straight up just speed because I loved seeing the dudes cruise haha. Both seem to work out.

@bongard22 loved catching the stream! I appreciate the feedback a ton and will keep visual cues more in mind as I continue.

@marudziik I got self conscious with how long the game would take to complete so I think I made it a little shorter than necessary. I am fairly new and this goes to everyone with the lag spikes, I dont know if it was just me and how I programmed the game or if it was the program I used to create a web version of the game but it runs fine if you use just the .love file not in a browser. Who knows, something to learn!

@oliver-day I am very aware of the draw order issues haha, this was my first LD so I prioritized having a beginning middle and end even though I have OCD and the draw order stuff caused me physical pain haha.

@verttixpertti I had an enemy drawn up and even animated (the slimes have animations as well) but I didnt have enough time to get all of that in unfortunately. I might restart from scratch and polish it up. Even since this Ive learned a few better ways to do this type of thing.

@EVERYONE THANKS FOR PLAYING EVERYBODY I REALLY APPRECIATE IT. My first LD has been a straight up blast and Im thrilled aobut all of your submissions and how cool this community is. Looking forward to many more in the future!

The jump-scare ending gave me a great laugh. Fun little game.

adamg 2025-04-25 00:29

Incremental games are always fun. I loved seeing the little slimes zoom around. I wish there was a couple more upgrades, or if the upgrades were more expensive but gave a bigger effect. If the slimes started much slower but ramped up to the base speeds, it would have been even more satisfying!

Like others, I was getting a lag spike for a few seconds which made everything move very slow.

rewzu 2025-04-25 00:46

I was a little bit sceptical at first, because I could not see any goal or reason to play. But then, I have depleted the mine, so I guess it is quite an engaging game after all. :D It could use some more interactions for the player - just to get the players' attention and not get boring or too repetitive. Some kind of progression would be nice as well. Maybe new types of slimes or some special abilities? Overall it is a nice entry. Good job! :D
