Another good game from you, @imphenzia. I'am waiting to see your traditional timelapse video. :-)

Another good game from you, @imphenzia. I'am waiting to see your traditional timelapse video. :-)
Thanks for the timelapse ... with comments. :-D
I agree with @hkay comments :-)
Excellent idea and implementation about the mechanic of strengths' balance :-)
Awesome and marvelously fun :-D
Good mood, and really fun ! "Please turn off the light ... now ... haaaa !!!" :-D
From my point of view, it's a very nice technical success, but I have trouble with the specific theme of this game. :-s
In one word : EXCELLENT (none rule to apply on it, before 1000 years, i hope)
Original graphic style, adapted and pleasant music, classic but effective gameplay. :-D
It could have been interesting to foresee several types of collectable objects bringing more varieties in the effects of monsters' spawning.
Wonderfull : ambience, music, mood. I definitvly love it. :-D
I hope you take pleasure playing this game. In state, it's "just" a prototype, because due to lack of "polishs" and selectable options. I should continue this project.
Thanks for your comment ... i'am already thinking the next steps to develop it. :-)
Yes, if you switch on a specific type of machine, it produces O2, but consumes energy and produces "some bad things" (:-o), another machine simply produces energy but also "bad things" (what a mess ;-), and another reduces those "bad things" but consumes more energy (ggrrrrr... :-)
You can switch off some machines to reduce their unwanted production or their unwanted consumption.
But explorers can't be "switched off" : they always need O2 and produces CO2 !
Also, more you discover new rooms in the station to find the artifact, more explorers enter into it !
PS : sorry, i found a bug, and i shall fix it as soon as possible : if you discover a room in which a machine is already switched on but you are no more energy, this machine doesn't switch off it self automaticly !
Thank you, @rixium. Not enough time to do better graphism, and to add music and sound. It's should be added in the next version :-)
Bug fixed : when the player is discovering a new room in which a machine is already switched on, and no more energy is avalaible, this machine doesn’t switch off it self automaticly. Added the HTML5 (WebGL) playing game in links.
Thank you @holyblackayn, @akusan and @elodeon. I really want to continue its development.
Thank you @team-infernus. With "returns" of player feelings and experiences, the durations of all actions must be quickly tweaked.
Thank you @charlez245. I think to go tweak the opening door times, thus.
Updated version allowing player tweaks the difficulty of the game : use "expected difficulty" slider in main menu. Progress bar added during "long" action. Also, some other minor updates about lighting, display of message texts.
At @chriiis88, you are right in part : it was planned initially some additional interactions.
But, due to the "short time" of Ludum Dare, i had to reduce the features developed, and the progress bar has become a visual simplification of interactions that the player must achieve in order to access new rooms or activate objects.
The gameplay has refocused on the exploration and choice between the discovery of new rooms to reach the artifact, activation/deactivation of machines ensuring the survival of the exploration team, and backtracks to change the state of machines already discovered.
The player must focus either on a balance of forces influencing the survival parameters, sometimes on a "race against time" to fulfill the purpose of the mission.
At @adsilcott, thank you for your comments, and great job with your team for the "Will of the Wisps" :-)
I say to @fernandxor "Chapeau bas, Monsieur". This game is really original, refreshing and humorous. A good little hobby that allows to break many glasses without feeling the slightest shame for his own awkwardness. Thank you for that ;-)
Great job. I appreciate it ; it's fun and ... relaxing (at beginning ;-)
A minimalist gameplay ruleset to a great fun.
Perhaps, you can add some "bonus" counter when the player place a great quantity of coins in the disposer ; your game would make you want to take more "risks".
:-)
It contains fun, frustating, fun, frustating, fun, fun fun ... :-)
Nice game for only height hours of developping :-)
Excellent game.
All (gameplay/graphics/sound/music) participate to a good mood.
A very refreshing version of a game known since a certain movie of 82 ;-)
Really sweet world : i appreciate your textures. But, in fact, bunnies are dangerous and vicious animals that can jump you to the throat with their big, sharp teeth. ( https://youtu.be/cCI18qAoKq4?t=52 )
It's just ... an excellent game. :-)
Nice game.
Gameplay is pleasant, but perhaps, at end of the game, add the name of received gifts (randomly pickup from an array) ... with some jokes for more "humor".
Wow, this game is approaching my first idea for this LD : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Linea_(TV_series) and https://youtu.be/skb2gKR7rOk?t=9 :-)
An interesting game, and graphically successful, but a little unserved by the arduous control of the character.
Thank you @zachw136 ... for "disorienting" after turn ... it's a few like in the 82' movie. Thanks @parkerduncan : after seeing the film when it was released (and yes, I'm not very young any more), I became addicted to computer science (programming and games - go know why ;-)
Thanks @mukult ; i must add some explanations, sorry for this.
For fans of Tron (original movie), use this link for a good music (like Flynn's home) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhhmtBOmosA
For @roman-petrov : you can try this link for Mac OS X
http://eice.be/ld42/ProgJet_vs_Guardians.MacOSX.zip
I hope you can play the game on your mac.
I thank you for your opinion about the management of the camera and the "position" during turns, as well as the problem of non-repositioning action icons during the "screen resize" in WebGL.
These few bugs have been fixed, and an increase in the Prog-Jet motion speed has been made.
Post-Scriptum : better rendering with standalone versions (Windows 32 or 64 bits, Mac OS-X) than in WebGL.
To @cliffracerx , thank you. I have seen your submission, and "woah", it's genious ! :-)
Great job. The Golem brings a lot of help with the default code.
I love cutscnes :-)
In game, ship controls seem to be not enough smooth ... or perhaps, the camera position makes the ship control more difficult...
Good game, good message.
Really good job, guys :-)
Fantastic !
I think that @kapiteinkoekwous has everything said: all the good that we think of the game, and the few small improvements possible :-)
Really nice work. Game is funny to play.
I did not see the time spent playing it :-)
I really appreciate your artwork style :-)
Very fun :-)
Sorry, but i think i did it in my pants ... more than once :-)
Good gameplay and nice artwork.
Great games !
But where can i download free maps or purchase some DLCs ?
sakaven.png
Good job.
I like the concept of this game, but i agree with @incobalt.
For example, to add challenge and offer a real choice to the player, the game could offer the player a number of small shelves of books (the number would be known in advance, but not the content); then, the player should make a selection of what would seem to interest him (in terms of rarity) among the books in the first bookshelf, then move on to the next, and so on, until the last or until his reserve is filled; he should not be able to return to a shelf already visited. It would thus risk either not to completely fill his shelf, or to no longer be able to select books offering a better rarity.
Really nice, really fun. Greetings :-)
Gameplay completly right in the theme.
Sorry, good ... but i'm not an octopus !
For WebGL, please support QWERTY and AZERTY keyboard layout, especially in the case of a "platformer" game ; it's really simple with four direction motions...
Keys relative motion : * Q to move left * A to move left * D to move right * W to move up * Z to move up * S to move down * SPACE to jump
Eventually, support also arrow keys.
Other avalaible nearest keys : * E to special action 1 * C to special action 2 * X to special action 3
Most other keys around "this block of nine keys" can be used with both of keyboard layouts.
Thanks for the whole player community.
Very nice game ; the whole participates in a good mood.
Funny game : simple and efficient, where graphics, music and sounds are in adequacy to the mood ... mood ?!
Why can't vote to the mood of your game ? :-(
Good ... but why only WASD keys !!!

Terribly fun to play but not relaxing :-p
Excellent game : relaxing and interesting. Very good "mood" :-)
I discover Ludum Dare :-)LD_45_-_An_Universe_From_Scratch_screenshot_2019-10-14_13-05-01.png
A pleasant platformer to play, a pleasant streaming to see (time to time, because i was also busy to work in Unity meanwhile).
Excellent. For me, it's your best Ludum Dare game, in its overall.
Done :-)
Published a few minute before the official end. :-)
Original gameplay :-)
Nice, but really hard ... for me :-s
This field of flowers smells like really good. Great job. It me think to a peacful version of Voodoo Garden.
Very original, and funny.
At first, I felt a little lost... but once you understand how the compasses work and start chaining a lot of them, it becomes pure joy. The atmosphere is very pleasant (graphics and music). Great, for this little gem of gameplay.InfinitelySarah.CaptainDeath.png
A really fun and well-made game. I also appreciate the discreet but effective interface elements.
@mega-marlon Indeed, I had originally planned to place the shop in an intermediate screen between the menu where you select the speleologist and the game screen; but due to lack of time, I put everything back on the same screen.
@tugaryn After a successful run (when you decide to stop on level ground with the REST button), and assuming you have earned discovery points, you can buy more rope and food, upgrade it, or unlock new spelunkers. On your first run, you are provided with one rope and one ration of food. Using a rope reduces the stamina lost on a steep slope. Eating earns you one or more stamina levels.
@kryakikrya Thank you.
@resty It is always possible to move forward or stop.
Spoiler ;-) * using rope needs a slope >= 45° * eating needs a slope <= 30° * activating rest (saving discovery points and returning to menu) needs a slope <= 5°
@jhax Thank you. It is true that the inactive state of the action buttons is almost indistinguishable from their active state (the gray part is just a little darker).
@Seiko The goal of the game is whatever you want to achieve : * for example, unlock all upgrades and unlocks * aiming to reach a certain number of discovery points in one run * aiming to reach a certain depth * etc.
@roxxorxx I understand ; i just had two friends test the game: * One took a little interest in it to please me, but I don't think he'll want to play it again. * The other stopped playing Path of Exile 2 to play it for over an hour and a half.
I agree with you, @roxxorxx and @yancharkin, about user interface : i should replace some text elements by icons (and add tooltip on it). With more times, i should add some sounds : cave ambiance + sounds as feedback on actions or events.
Very nice graphics, suitable sound, and very neat user interface (including the title and menu). I wonder if this game would have been better with mouse-only control.
Incredible! What attention to detail for a game jam. I loved the atmosphere captured in this game.
On the other hand, for this game, I would have found it more sensible to have mouse-only control, or at least optionally.
Funny ! Earned amount is in dollars ? millions of dollars ? ... or cents ?
Nice design.
I can't put it down anymore... this game is superb: excellent graphics and sound. Very good respect for the theme. It might need a little more challenge, but that won't stop me from diving back in.
Very neat user interface and graphics. Sounds and music adapted to the game. Respected theme. But honestly, I don't understand the mechanics; so I didn't see much of the gameplay other than digging in a straight vertical line. Too bad for me.
Captivating atmosphere, interesting gameplay, simple and effective interface ; a very successful game for two developper in this game jam. Congratulations.
Very nice game.
It's difficult to achieve the English language option. Typically, what's done in a multilingual multimedia application, to make it user-friendly, is to use as early as possible in the application's user interface (so from the first interactive screen; here, the menu screen): * either "buttons" labeled with the target language translated into that language * or "icons" with flags of the language's original country.
For the rest, the atmosphere (graphics and sound) is high-quality. And congratulations on the narration.
A very addictive idle game. It seems to me that it adheres to the genre's standards. The music is perfect for the game. It's hard to stop playing ;-)
Very well-made game. The challenge is there.
screenshot01.png
I enjoyed the game's gameplay, its adherence to the theme, and its little finishing touch ;-) Graphically, however, I found it a bit lacking. In the end, it's a success, I think :-)
This game is truly immersive. Once you master the use of the diver's two legs, it's a real treat in terms of gameplay. The atmosphere is well-crafted and the theme is well-respected. When will level 2 be released? ;-)
A good start for a more ambitious gameplay experience in your next platformer. It's a bit of a shame that the "enemies" aren't "dangerous." I love the music ; it's perfect for this kind of game, and surprisingly varied. screenshot02.png
Have a great first start. Keep having fun as you develop your games.
