Wow! It's breathtaking! Awesome work! I just have no words!

eugsun 2019-10-07 00:35

Hahaha I had many "OHSHIT" moments playing this. Beautiful colors and models. Awesome job!

arielle-stroman 2019-10-07 01:21

I really enjoyed this, there were tons of moments where I covered my mouth laughing after being swatted at. Great work, you have a good thing going here, haha.

tasakasama 2019-10-07 20:54

Wow Just Well done, Graphically it's very pretty and having all the assets it must have been a big job

maggardjosh 2019-10-07 20:55

Nice entry! Loved all the voice recordings for each piece of furniture. Also being chased by the lady was hilarious. Would have been nice to have multiple entry points to add a bit more strategy. Good work!

pandan 2019-10-07 21:04

i actually found this via itch.io and had to track you down here (put the LD link in your itch game page!)

very fun, good concept. I didn't complete it, but i got a fair bit of furniture in my apartment. :)

I have to second that suggestion from MaggardJosh, multiple entry points would have made this so much better. Also the lady chases you into your apartment? not sure if thats intended, makes for easy gameovers. (Also she can get stuck, but im sure you knew that)

<3

thepelranthean 2019-10-08 00:26

Simple concept, lots of assets, well executed control scheme, has sound, used theme, and had fun while doing it? Seems like you did a good job here. Thanks for sharing your game; it was fun to play.

I don't know that I ever managed to run away from the lady - so once she saw me that was it. However, that just made me more motivated to not be seen, so I guess it wasn't necessarily bad. It would have been nice to recover by escaping into my own apartment though.

Regardless, I enjoyed the game. Again, good job.

pavel-ivanov 2019-10-08 02:04

Great job!

joshua-young 2019-10-08 02:44

Excellent game. I love the suspense of it. Some sounds would have taken this game beyond laugh out loud funny.

mrpiedpiper 2019-10-08 07:50

This was actually really well done. I spent sooooo long making trips and completing collections.

Things I'd change: * I spent an incredible amount of time waiting for the lady to leave, running in, and running back. After a while, it got a bit old. Maybe a timer would help increase the action a bit? * Mini achievements would help keep interest longer as well. Things like "Fully dressed", "Kitchenware", ect. * I really really wanted to toss something out my apartment's window. * Maybe have the option to allow the player to see where/how-far she can see?

But really, there's so much good here. It's basically the embodyment of how I me and my siblings started out "Hello Neighbor". Run in, grab stuff, run back and put it in your house. Perfection

And the extra little bits are excellent. Sounds, music, graphics, this game is awesome.

(By the way, I stopped at 4500 points)

pestodesign 2019-10-08 10:18

This is fun! It is a nice stealth game, and I liked the graphics! Somehow the audio is off for me. The sound of the broom is too much and the music is a bit too slow maybe.

flaterectomy 2019-10-08 15:05

It's a pretty fun game, and I can clearly see your signature low-poly style. I do kind of wish there was more to avoiding the neighbor. There was a lot of waiting outside and making my move, which did get old after a while. Whenever I got spotted, she would chase me down and knock me out and I was too slow moving around corners to get away from her.

I enjoyed the music, the voice lines are pretty funny. Another nice entry!

benjamin123 2019-10-08 15:08

Nice game! I tried to block the path of the NPC with their furniture.

dawnscream 2019-10-08 15:09

A really nice little game that blends stealth and humor into a simple yet fun package. I loved every moment of it. A couple of small things that could make this even better would be to add some vision cone/other sensory information about the lady, as well as provide means of putting stuff down nicely. I understand the humor behind just throwing stuff into a pile and it's a lot of fun, but then again we're "equipping" our place - why not allow the option to place the object down in it's designated manner of standing? All in all tho, an amazing job on this! Congrats!

skalex 2019-10-08 15:21

This is a really fun game! I think you could probably expand it into something more if you wanted to! I liked the sound effects and graphics although I would make the lady's ai better so she might be able to you drop items or footsteps if you get close enough! Great job!

humphreysmedia 2019-10-08 15:54

Movement was a little slow compared to the animation speed, but love the fact the character travels to the mouse position, rather than using W,A,S,D. Aesthetics is great, reminds me of 60 Seconds, meets Superhot, great job!

gamejuv 2019-10-08 16:20

It is really funny :D I like the idea really much. The character movement was a bit slow.

inky 2019-10-08 19:46

Hey hey, nice game! The concept made me chuckle, it's a good interpretation of the theme, and like some others have said, a cool humor stealth combination! I thought it was difficult to move, but you know that from the other comments. Nice job!

bismark 2019-10-09 02:48

Excellent. For me, it's your best Ludum Dare game, in its overall.

shrapx 2019-10-09 16:31

Its a very unusual stealth game. For me the sound was very quiet unfortunately, so i couldn't appreciate all the voices. The movement was kinda slow which made it hard, but i managed to learn to avoid the lady (mostly) after a few attempts. Its a lot of 3d modeling and design for a compo so well done for that :)

mortus 2019-10-09 16:43

Fun game, but why do you put your boots before your pants? :D

Best strategy for me seemed to be to block the lady in the bathroom and loot everything else first, then unblock her and finish the job.

t-bo 2019-10-09 18:28

Fun game ! I love when the character take the piano XD ! Beautiful 3D entry ! Amazing work !

uchiro 2019-10-09 19:16

Very nice game!

So many props in 2 days and all in one cute style. I like nice little features, such as different comments after picking up items and different dragging animations for every item. Special thanks for the choice of difficulty.

I think the control on the keyboard would be more convenient. I would also like a more responsive control: faster angular speed and movement speed of the player.

rodrigo-denubila 2019-10-10 11:43

Really nice game. I like your interpretation of the theme, and also the way you develop it. Animations are great too, I laughed a lot when the guy carries big things. Good job!

imphenzia 2019-10-11 20:29

Finally, a week of work behind me and it's a weekend. I can begin to have some fun and play & rate some LD games.

@t1a2z - cheers, glad you like it!

@eugsun - thanks, so did I during the development of the game =)

@arielle-stroman - thank you, I managed to get knocked out in some stylish ways too while making the game!

@tasakasama - Thanks, yes- I spent quite some time modelling, to the point where I wondered if I would implement everything. I put all assets in the game except a spade and a DVD player.

@maggardjosh - Appreciate it. Yes, I decided to try to do one or two lines for each piece, I had some time left to do it so I had to give it a go. Good point about having more entries.

@pandan - Oh, I thought I put a link on the itch page to my LD-entry, I will have to double check. I noticed that she didn't stop chasing even outside her own apartment but I figured it was OK, after all, you are running off with her stuff =) Also, I tried to fix so she wouldn't get too stuck, if that happens most often a swing of the broom will clear the path.

@thepelranthean - Thank you, glad you like the look of it and that it ticks most boxes - I definitely had fun doing it! Often you'll probably get run down but with some clever navigation you can beat the AI movement around corners so you'll get out of sight.

@pavel-ivanov - Thanks!

@joshua-young - Great, thanks and glad you like it! It does have quite a bit of sound in it actually, couldn't have been an audio issue maybe?

@mrpiedpiper - Much appreciated - and thanks for your feedback, all fair points. Mini achievements I thought was great in particular to have some goals. You can complete the level by moving everything across (except the carpets) and getting fully dressed. I think that's around 6500 points or something.

@pestodesign - Thanks - I agree that the broom is a bit loud and also the 3D-positioning of the sounds could be improved, volume does not fade properly. Plus, my modified voice is probably annoying (but so is my normal voice :)

@flaterectomy - Thank you - glad you recognize the low poly style! I love making that type of art, simple and colorful, quick, and quite easy to animate =) Fair point about having to wait, if I had more time that was on my list to improve.

@benjamin123 - Yes, that works, but the NPC is quite effective at clearing any blockage I think/hope.

@dawnscream - Glad to hear you loved it and thanks for commenting. I was hoping to add a way to place furniture better but I didn't like the idea of making it look like an editor - but maybe some more precision throwing would have been possible.

@skalex - Thanks, AI reacting to audio was something I considered but I figured it would react all the time so I opted against it (also lacking the time to implement that).

@humphreysmedia - Cheers, yes some better animation to movement speed could be good to anchor them a bit more in the environment. Glad you liked the nav method - I thought it would be a nice change.

@gamejuv - Thanks, glad you like it and I would agree about movement speed probably, maybe I should have increased with difficulty level for the player and not only the NPC.

@inky - Thank you! I spent quite some time thinking about the game design and I didn't come up with the idea straight away - I kept modelling stuff while thinking of what to do.

@bismark - Whey, thanks a lot! I am happy to celebrate my 10th entry with that comment :)

@shrapx - Thanks! I haven't made a stealth game before so I thought it'd be fun to try it. I wonder why the audio was so low, did you play WebGL or Win download? Yes, very much modelling and to the point I started to worry about being able to use it all, haha.

@mortus - Haha, I asked myself that very question. It seems like a stupid thing to do!! Yes, I found that blocking method was viable when I did my final playtesting. Originally you could totally block it off but a swing of the broom now clears many blocking attempts.

.. continued

imphenzia 2019-10-11 20:29

..

@t-bo - Thank you! The piano was my favorite asset too - big, heavy, lots of keys, and I managed to record my own piano to get the impact sounds... didn't destroy my piano in the process though, just pressed the keys at the same time for a number of recordings and mixed it with smacking my hand on the couch =) I wanted to try a navigation movement this time but responsiveness and maybe speed could do with tweaking.

@rodrigo-denubila - Thanks, glad you like it! I had some more animations and walk cycles that I ended up not using and I was a bit concerned that the guy got totally hidden when carrying big stuff - and that the big things sweep through the walls a bit when you carry but I didn't want him to get stuck all the time.

Thanks everyone for your feedback! I will now start playing your games and returning feedback.

mrpiedpiper 2019-10-11 20:33

Oh by the way, something I forgot to mention. I noticed sometimes when I was being chased, dropping the item I was holding would make her stop chasing me. One time I tried it, she left me alone. The other time, she resumed chase.

imphenzia 2019-10-11 20:57

@mrpiedpiper Carrying something has no importance actually, if you are sight, you get chased =) Even if you stand in the hallway and never enter her apartment, she'll come out and knock you out :D

mrpiedpiper 2019-10-11 21:36

@imphenzia Found out the hallway wasn't safe the hard way XD My new safe place is the bottom left of my apartment.

diptoman 2019-10-13 02:24

This is so random and funny - I love it! Voices were funny, art was great for 48 hours, made me chuckle a lot. Good stuff!

alex-lemming 2019-10-13 02:28

Kojima would be proud of this stealth game  Perfect match for this jam theme. Love art, animations and overall polish

madbarron 2019-10-13 04:51

Very impressive! Nailed the theme, and created a ton of assets for a compo. I am terrible at this game but I finally got my hair!

tomeks 2019-10-13 08:33

Very cool game, and impressive for a compo. Well done.

nikolay-zapolnov 2019-10-13 11:36

Hahaha, very fun! It would be cool to have WASD or arrow keys controls but otherwise the game is great!

simon-rahnasto 2019-10-13 14:37

Awesome voice acting, great sound effects and really good music. This game has incredible auido! I liked the game idea, it's hilarious! I managed to score7a31ce61657af7d30f6b36e1d136fb67.png

Thank you for linking your score-attack game in my post! This was a great entry :v:

the-osk 2019-10-13 20:29

Woah, did you actually manage to do all this for the compo? Huge respect. That lady in pink sure dislikes my presence. Great entry!
