The idea is absolutely amazing :D also you have polished all of the controls, truly amazing. I enjoyed playing it and solving how it works. Really nice.

The idea is absolutely amazing :D also you have polished all of the controls, truly amazing. I enjoyed playing it and solving how it works. Really nice.
Very nice art, it is a bit confusing, what actually is the win condition, there is no information on that. After passing 4th level and clicking back to menu got a gray screen. controller is nice. Overal good entry
@my-sweet-whomp no worries, I know it's a gamejam, so its not a sin to have some minor bugs. It didn't affect my review in any way.
Very complete and coherent entry, love the music, only thing that distracts me is change of zoom based on speed. Good entry.
Wow , just wow, I saw your making of before, very impressive
Very interesting concept, love the art coherence and music :D Very solid effort !
The controller is 45 degrees off and sensitivity is a bit off as well making it difficult to play on PC for me. Would love you guys implemented "pre warm" phase, so I don't have to wait a minute on lazy mode until first package arrives. Really nice looks and animations, overall good effort.
Amazing art, but the controller is really hardcore for me so I didn't do too well. Overall very nice coherent style amazing musics and amazing attention to details. If you showed me gameplay video, I would have never guessed it's a gamejam game :) Well done to whole team.
Nice entry, reminds me of my childhood atari days. Very polished.
Amazing style together with audio reminds me of atari times. Tutorial in game is quite clever. Good effort
I had same issue like @matt-tuttle Also seems like Godot cannot handle OSX build well, the size should be 10MB tops with this art style, not 150... Tag me when/if the OSX issue has been resovde, I want to try your game <3
REally cool game, NoManSky 0.1 :D, Very impressive concept
Sound and art reminds me of 80's games, responsive controller and nice game overall good entry and fun to play.
What an amazing idea you have here. Enjoyed playing it. Loved the sounds. Well done.
Wow, soo nice mood. Art particles animations and all on top level. Well done. It's funny when people say about your game being polished, of course it is, You are 4 Polish developers after all :)
I find the controller nicely polished (with audio and animation). Only small issue I had was changing direction when jumping, I think the rotation point is off so the char end up offset after turning. Nice little game, good effort
Nice simple game, I like design of some levels when it kind of fools you into thinking you have to do something where in fact you don't have to. Only thing I am missing is level number. Good effort
Wow really nice game, so many thigns to like, starting with playable menu, toxic mode, background tune and so on ... Really solid entry, Only thing on the downside is the responsiveness of the control, or maybe it is lag of diagonal move not quite sure, but overal really solid entry
Actually quite playable, and sounds matching as well. Solid coherent entry
@richard-pittman Thanks for this nice review, @hello1423 hope one bug doesn't affect your judgement, it is a gamejam after all.
@memel06 Thanks for your kind words, Regarding the difficulty the curve is projected on very small amount of levels (5) hence it seems like it increases too quickly, but I didn't want to make it too easy to play through and deprive hardcore gamers of fun.
@madbeagle Actually I never used blender before, few weeks back I start learning it from youtube tuts to be able to make my own char for this Ludum Dare (which is the driver) It's very easy to do basic stuff maybe you should give it a try. All other models I made in 3d max.
@gaming-night Thanks for kind words, You do have redo after each step, only thing is it doesn't put back the time. It would have been too easy that way.
@eott @heidelbert you can get used to the control after some time, the idea was to replicate rear turning wheels, probably that's one of the reasons of initial struggle (or as well bad implementation is :D) Thanks for good words.
@lukel thanks for good review. The bodies are set to disappear after one minute for performance issues. The reappearing is a bug for sure :D.
@agecaf Thanks for thorough review. I had this restart button at first but my pause menu was bug, so I got rid of it. Again in last hours of development I made few mistakes like this one, that made my game a bit worse overall than it could be :(
@tetra Thanks for the review. Your video made me realize I screwed up the balance a bit, level 2 is way harder than it should be ... You did well non the less got to lvl 4 there was just one more left to complete the game with 9 deliveries.
@matt-tuttle Thanks for the review, at first I was thinking about it, but It felt too easy. On the other hand I might have just set the time limits badly :D. The goal of level if to drive accurately with each forklift, getting read of the time is kind of like giving you infinite amount of lives.
@rodrigo-denubila Thanks for good words, did you manage to finish it?
@nnnikki Can you elaborate on this? Maybe it was blocked by your Antyvirus? Tried it on 3 different computers and didn't have problem.
@bartosz the plan was to include both easy and hard level, and since I only have 5 levels the difficulty curve is quite steep ...
@raccoon-js I second that, for the next LD I promise to work on my music making skills :)
@devio thanks for your time streaming it. @jimdarkwind I am actually thinking about it, send it to few streamers to play, and got initial list of improvements to do. @jima yes that was the plan, total carnage :D Thanks for good words.
@dj-depressive I actually desaturated colors a lot in post. My goal was to achieve grim-factory-night-shiftish atmosphere. Thanks for the review.
@tlcoc time is like Lives (or hp) you cannot play infinitely, after couple of screw ups you will have to play level again.
@tigerj Thanks for the streaming :) The UI text shadow was just made with Unity's built in shadow component. And there is actually 2 more levels (5 total) 4th has 6 deliveries and 5th has 9. Cheers.
Crazy concept, amazing mood. Almost cannot believe it was all done in 48 hours. Well done.
Scr1.jpg
I think I managed to break the game, this block just follows me and cannot drop it anywhere, this happened when I picked up a block that was close to another one. Otherwise cool simple idea, like to touch of recorded voice messages :)
These graphics are really nice !!! The game gets difficult and you run out of space really fast, Cool.
fun to play especially with higher speed. I was buried alive in the end :(. Nice story behind. good stuff. The final score is a bit higher than my max score after i died by bomb, I guess what it destroyed didn't count to my max.
HAHAHAH what a funny idea to have, nice touch to the sounds as well, Good entry, well executed. I don't ever want to be a roomie in this situation.
Wow this looks amazing, very unique art. Gameplay is challenging, and music matches to the mood. Well done
pic.jpg
At first I thought the ballance is way off, but after a while I developed a system first shoot yellows, which kind of puts you in wrong position cos the reds will eat your land. Very exciting, would love to have sounds and maybe some particles. Otherwise nice and enjoyable (but from this kind that makes you angry when you lose :D) well done
Cool graphics and mood, very coherent. The difficulty is a very sensitive topic, especially when you have 15 minutes to balance it (haha). I have same issue with my game. Solid entry overall.
You need more practice to sustain long hours, I did 16 hrs first day and 17 the other. Making games is fun, so times passes.
This game really moves ones feelings. Great idea. You have probably spent lots of time coming up with stories.
good effort, a bit confusing with the controller. But it's a complete game nonetheless.
Really nice game, and good matching music. Building co-op game is quite a challenge. Well done. What is Bjorp?
There is a lot of content and despite first looks game for sure took some big effort. Art could use some love, but everything comes with time. Good effort.
Is there any good ending? :) Even if my shelterians don't kill each other the world outside seems grim. Nice idea, and solid effort for the first game jam.
Very cool game, and impressive for a compo. Well done.
Nicely polished and entertaining, takes me back to Amstrad Cpc 64 back in the days :)
Very cool entry, quality and coherent art and mood. I am getting hearth-broken when chic is crying :(
I think it's the only game in the entire Ludum Dare that has localisation, props for that :). Also very polished and coherent style. Well done.
Download links are missing :/
Its rare to see credits and cinematic intro in a Ludum Dare game :) I like the concept.
"you play a half-pelican half-penguin" this intrigued me :). Good entry, the animations are nice, but you could speed up the transitions (especially when going back upright). Well done.
Also I might be your 20th rating :D
Very polished and very nice concept. I love it.
@avon yeah sorry for that, we run out of time to do proper balancing :(
@saltfactory-studio @tongueenvy the controller lag is due to poor optimisation probably :< Sorry for that.
Also we will fix the UI for next update (if any :)) Thanks for your good words.
@kr0s @thor1 @stuckne1 Thanks for good words. We really appreciate you coming to try our game.
@mahalis thanks for the review. We actually noticed same thing about too down view, as you see we even added some screenshots from other angle, because we agree it looks more Interesting 👌
@pixamentory @mrstari @ahistyap thank you for good word :) we are happy you liked our game :)
Very nice looking game, seems like tons of work for such a short time frame, one thing I would change is to make the damera orbit without the need of pressing the mouse button . Unlike others didn't have any frame rate issues, played full screen on my 5k mac screen.
Very nice game, a lot of mechanics for such a small team. Love the camera control (although when you rotate, release of pan doesn't get recorded so camera will continue panning, but it's minor). Nice music, and I weirdly like the day/night cycle execution. Good job. Also well done on 20 reviews. My tribes didn't live for too long :(
Very nice game, love the mechanic and execution. Small detail - I was able to clip through wall on level one while being black cube :) I am currently working on a color mixing game, so this one is close to my hearth :)
Very nice idea, a bit rough around the edges (i.e. camera repositioning when changing direction) but overall very beautiful work. The frog was scary as well.
Well done on completing the LD game.
Very nice intro and interesting game. The intro raises the expectations :). Did you do all the art??
Thats quite an advanced game to be done by 1 person. I dislike how you don't allow me to search again before the times passes without an actual explanation why, i'd prefer this to be balanced by longer searching time (possibly with some searching timer bar) or lower RNG instead. Also first thing I did was hit that space button :D. Really nice effort.
I wasted all the money :D, this game is Hilarious. Only thing that bothered me, was that couldnt see the text well during the rap battle :)
Interesting idea, and perfect match to the theme, how did you do the pile of garbage?
Interesting idea, I like the sound effect, and most of all the implementation of the tentacles (what did you use for that?) . Great effort !
@bemmu I did, the number you see is the total amount of votes received in that category, not the actual score, the score will be available after the voting period is over
Graphics are really standing out! Few times I encounter a problem that my crystal disappeared, is this normal ?
@uvwar thanks for the info, that makes sense.
This game is an epitome of what a game jam should be :D Very solid entry and of course I loved the sounds and "music".
Sadly no controller here so won't rare as well, I'd love to try it if you decide to add keyboard support. I dig the tune, and the art looks very unique and beautiful. The description text on the itch page is very hard to read (maybe change colors).
quite an interesting mechanic for a hyper casual game, very playable and engaging, good job. Maybe would be interesting to do difficulty progression based on the side of the circles in the perimeter so at the beginning they are bigger and decrease over time. Fun to play.
crazy good loking!
is this game going to be published? I guess you jump the gun with publishing before the Jam ends right? Art looks very nice, can't wait.
Interesting concept and nice implementation, also like the music and the options you made i.e dark theme. Solid entry.
Very good fun and compete entry would be suprised if this doesn't end up near the top
there is something in there, definitely adjusting the lighting would be needed, and maybe restricting the physics to 2d (in rigidbody) as you cannot control the depth anyway. Solid effort.
Screenshot 2020-04-20 at 12.33.07.png
Really nice and crazy original, I doubt anyone ever thought of combining CPR and music game :D
Seems like a really complex system for compo 48hrs, well done. I enjoy the game and like the fact the art style is coherent.
Screenshot 2020-04-20 at 11.50.04.jpg looks like your link is broken, I want to play it please fix. Maybe you forgot to publish on itch
@rakowu you are welcome, I am sure someone would spot it anytime soon. It works indeed. Also the game looks very interesting, and has a nice looking BGM.
When I first saw the intro screen, I thought I by mistake bought some game on steam and launch that instead, the level of polish on this is absolutely amazing, ready to ship. Also the sound work is great, did you edit your own recordings for the speech ? crazy strong entry
I first thought the controls are broken, but they are not, they are quite fun. Very nice entry and I dig the music ;D
Quite interesting, simple game but you nailed the gameplay. I suck at it , as it felt difficult after a short while on easy (cries).
@squirmonkey thank you for good review, I spent tons of time tweaking the player movement and it was intended it seems like the character is a bit sloppy and unprecise to ramp up the challenge, maybe I overdid it :D. Re: the orientation he has a red plack on the back, maybe this will help a little.
@wubbaduck thanks for playing, making the controller driftable took me a while, but it is very rewarding :D
@dreamer you need to push it a bit more in, the robot speaks a line once the flower is deep enough in the chamber. I put the trigger more inside so the cart doesn't clip the door when it's closed :<
@zeggamer I actually spend fair amount of time on the controls, the premise was to feel clumsy like a silly robot would be, add a fragile flower cart and its a recipe for comedy, I felt the goal was achieved, but it might that I overdone it a bit :D
@rjerez192 yeah, if losing can feel even a bit regarding, players might be a bit less angry :D
@moomka thank you, actually the trolley was the most time consuming task in this project, and its still not 100% bug free, sometimes the wheel rotations don't follow the push direction.
@snory Thank you for good words, the loan was to make it feel like a clumsy robot would, a bit challenging and easy to overdo @dpeet1 Thank you, that means a lot <3
@sheinxy @gamedoodles thank you for good word, I am really happy reading feedback like this.
@jay-berlin glad to hear, every Game Jam I keep repeating to myself: "make it fun to play it's the most important part", but I usually end up failing that part. I maybe was able to make it this time :D
@a-312 wow congrats,I didn't think anybody would finish the game 🎂🍻 yeah I tried to make it feel clumsy, maybe a bit too much.
@jeremyfa I tried to keep the clumsy style with control :/ @cottontshirtz hahaha sir you are being watched. But seriously I modeled it by my own experiences so we must be alike in this matter.
@gimblll haha nice one, next time I will contact you for writing the background story, its lovely and what I partially had in mind, just describe with much better words <3
@bloham thank you, I actually wanted to add "andale" but the voice synthesizer couldn't make it right :D re: the physics bugs I set it to continues dynamic, it should be fin unless you drop a frame (poor optimization on my part :D) well game jam .
@daanvanyperen the idea was that you will have to operate carefully otherwise you will get stuck, so the robot is quite clumsy. Thank you for the feedback, I will test play more for next game jam <3
Very interesting and nicely done entry. Had one small issue, it gets a bit choppy after some time. Congratulations !
What a nice graphics, really good entry much better than some of the crap on steam <3
Such a nice entry, so entertaining to play.
Very nice story and drawigs, the mood is matched perfectly. Well done.
Looks fantastic and controls well, only issue I had was I could fly out of screen (but I guess it was intended to push player to not wonder too far)
Holy mackrel this feel like a complete game, you guys did amazing and I love the art it's top notch, only beef I have in this entry is: when you have a lot of text like this, option to reveal whole text would be amazing, I read faster than it appears. Great entry <3
Nicely polished and fun, One thing I would change is to add some lerp to camera movement.
Good entry, I dig the graphic style, reminds me of good old times. Good job.
I am sometimes jelous of other devs creativity, who would have thought of this, great idea. I love that you had time to polish the controller, its very responsive for which I give an extra credit. Good job.
Very nice game, and good art execution, If you ever gonna to post mortem, this will go great with some 8 bit sfx.
i first thought you are just being pretentious, but the narrative is actually great (at some point quite suspenseful) , just needs an increased difficulty, and maybe enemies from more directions? I played to 100+ to be sure you didn't hide anything from me :D Screenshot 2020-04-20 at 15.17.20.png
@kinshuk-thebest you are right, I didn't think about it :D , this would be great for monetization, first hook the users in with the narrative, then keep constant difficulty and slap and ad in their face every 10 enemies :D
@tattomoosa while you at it, would be great to have a web GL, if you need to test out mac feel free to post here first I can do it for you.
Original idea, I like that you did snapping otherwise would be hard to play. Solid effort.
Nice graphics, sad you didn't have time to make sounds. Good entry!
Game jam grade music, I love it :D The entire game is a solid effort. great entry .
Solid effort, I'd love to have auto shooting and maybe choose the shooting direction with mouse?
This is a nice whimsical entry, char customization for a game jam is in the same level of hardcore as localization, well done.
Good art style, and love the shader work. Very strong compo entry. Cannot dislike the sounds as well :D
Nice and coherent style, Its mind boggling what some developers can come up with given a theme, congrats. Solid entry.
Its quite challenging, I think would be easier to control with directions based on view rather than player orientation, unless that was a part of the challenge, in which case mission accomplished. Solid effort for just 2 days.
Nice entry for the first game jam, I had problem shooting stuff I was aiming at, one tip, in unity use input axis horizontal and vertical for input, that way by default you will be able to use both arrows and WSAD (which is more natural). I like the art, and I love the sound you recorded, especially the shooting, this is a mark of a compo game ;D
Great looking art did you use the unity tile system?
Good looking and very original i'd say, Sadly my mom disowned me :< .Would love to see the diagram of logic behind the hood.
good looking and coherent style, well done for going into new engine, its a bit small on WebGL, and maybe you might want to opt out from sound. Good effort.
So I wanted to be a smart a**, increased the time and set revenue gain to max before loosing visitors, then I let it run for a while. I felt like Rockefeller until the bills came :(. Such a great idea, writing such a complex system in just a weekend is mindboggling, also I like very much the tune you created.
Very coherent art style and I love the background music you made. Only thing I'd love to see is WSAD controllers, as arrows scroll my webpage :>
I wish you ported to mac or webGL.
This is a nice and most importantly completed game, I dig the music. The buttons after you lost are a bit too small to read. Good effort.
nice art style, an very complex system for a game jam, it is very hard. I hope you would get warm while chopping the woods
Very nice execution and on point with the theme, every detail of this entry is polished, nothing seems like made last minute. Well done.
Despite simple art, the gaameplay is actually nicely done and fun. This is such a creative idea for a game, well done.
Nicely implemented mechanic and on point with the theme. Solid entry .
Quite funny, control reminds me of the olympics games on Commodore :D. I would love to see breaking function with both paddles (when I hold both keys), and break turning while holding just one key. Solid entry <3
Wow crazy effort to pull such a game, with multiplayer O.o I hope you made post LD version with just a bit more polished graphics and effect, maybe some more features, you are onto something here.
Clever mechanic and nice coherent style with audio matching the general aesthetics. Well done, Solid entry.
Screenshot 2020-10-05 at 18.20.19.png
Very nice !!! would love to hear more about how you implemented the logic, Solid effort !.
So many different mechanics implemented in one short Game Jam, impressive. Everything is polished and coherent. You are very creative.
Screenshot 2020-10-05 at 19.41.56.png
Very interesting and polished entry, well done. The combining is a bit confusing, but I made it work :) I like the voice recording :D
@incd021 took me around 3-4 minutes, which is fine, after all it's very short window of time. The game remings me "the Final Station" from steam. It's definitely an idea to expand upon.
Woow 10 stars for mood it's fantastic, the gameplay logic is very smart and entertaining, and I like the music as well. This is a solid entry !
Quite challenging indeed, but one can get used to it, on 3rd try got 175 score. Solid entry and nice graphics, very coherent !
I like the idea, and the execution is there, I chuckled on the boss fight. You are onto something. I can second your feel about not going for Jam, I do exactly the same, one LD joined with a friend and we still finished after second day, going full 3 is devastating :D.
Very atmospheric :D a bit wonky controller but nice entry :D
@seth-tal thanks for good word, on every gameJam I used to make the game too difficult for other players so maybe this time I went over? try the hard more its quite more challenging.
@rolly thanks for playing, the levels go up to 8x8 later on, of course the music is my achilles heal as on every game Jam :D
@ausstein haha that's cheating :D, but nice trick as right has 1 more letter. In the initial iteration the "move" was as "forward" but had to change as it was too much to type. If this game goes forward there will be more actions/commands. Thanks for playing <3
@testuser thanks for the feedback I was thinking about the enter to proceed but run out of time. The coundown should be on top of the screen, and it's layouted for 960x600 screen, do you remember if you played full screen window?
@beavergames thanks for playing, the going against the time was supposed to be the challenging part otherwise it's quite boring :)
@irwatts I am sorry to hear, I actually did the optimisation pass, and clamp the resolution to 960 x 600 so it should run smooth for everybody. What browser did you use?
Thanks for playing
@albuquerque yeah I used Wave Function Collapse here is some examples of levels https://twitter.com/_TomekS/status/1312760428905201672?s=20
My idea about the theme was, that the robot is running on while(true) so you need to give it commands on time so it has something to execute (hence the theme), not sure if I telegraph it enough or if it matches. Thanks for playing
@albuquerque Thanks for the info I will try to figure out what's the problem.
@mz-dino Thank you for playing, you can see previous commands on the left I have to clip them, or you meant commands from previous run i.e. after you crash and restart? That would be interesting as you could compare the run and see what went wrong, nice idea.
@meek-bits agreed completely music is an abomination, I am terrible at it, but in the spirit of compo and to be fair to other devs, I left it in, there is mute button in top left of main menu to turn it off (that's the least I can do :D). Thanks for playing <3
@seth-tal Yep I get your point, it's all about adjusting the difficulty curve. Thanks again for a great feedback
@pekuja thanks for playing, the loop is in title while(true) the robot operates on it, so if you don't insert commands fast enough it will crash. The theme loop doesn't need to be geometrical loop does it ?
Very nice art, and great music, the mood is amazing. I find the gameplay a bit frustrating, there maybe should be a sound cue for the thermal power? Anyway it's a solid well polished entry, well done.
Wow such an amazing concept, I love it, also art is very nice!. It's said that you didn't have time for sound (or it's broken) as it would compliment it nicely. Solid entry.
Holy cow, this game has the same level of engaging by being annoying as Flappy Birds, holy dang if it isn't addictive. Sadly I suck a bit so only got to rank 4, but had hell of a fun by doing it. Love it !!!
Wow that's a great one, very clever mechanic and nice execution, love it. Also the audio is really catchy. Its quite polished in every aspect, well done.
Wow, very polished art and sound, also the plot it's quite sad :/. I played it a few times, please tell me if there is a plot twist after hundred days or ? :D Very solid entry. Also I like the way you presented the date <3
Agree with @xasey, not crazy complex, but very complete and nice experience. This is a good proof that sometimes less is more Very solid entry and I really like the art albeit simple but takes me back to Amstrad cpc 464 computer times, and drawing pixels in Basic 1.0 <3.
This is cool, feels very nice, on my 13inch mac, the play button is not visible until i zoom to 80% (in case you will be doing update move it up a bit maybe :D). I like the art, and the ground material is trippy. Solid entry <3
Interesting controller, I found, after some collisions you can fly straight for a while. Would be great to have a designated landing runway. Overal it got me engaged so kudos. Congratulations on learning to code again <3
Haha quite amusing and well executed idea. This could be spun into the Spanish bull run, just add ragdolls of people running and your goal is to get them :D. Solid entry.
Interesting idea, and solid entry for a compo, it plays well nothing seems to be broken. Well done.
Screenshot 2020-10-06 at 16.15.09.png
Initially I wasn't convinced, but after getting a hang on the control I find this game very addictive. I wish I could rotate 360, and it reminds me of bunny hopping in Counter Strike :D Nice entry.
Hahahaha, how you guys come up with these ideas, very unique and the execution fits nicely with the theme. Fun to play, solid entry.
Screenshot 2020-10-05 at 17.59.36.png
Seems like I dont have the flag, how can I complete this level ?
@blacktarus you are correct, I am on macBook pro 13 inch 2020, chrome full screen, need to zoom to 90% to see the end point. Very nice game simple control but very engaging <3
Screenshot 2020-10-05 at 18.52.08.png
Quite interesting concept, perhaps lack a bit more work like inventory, or more interactive UI, but very good entry for a compo nontheless, a complete product. Well done
@probeprob One more thing, regarding the webGL Unity gets "stuck" in the last phase of the webGL build but wait 5-10 minutes and it will come through. Also if you hit build and run it will launch it so you can test it right away, otherwise you need to run a local server or upload it somewhere.
The UI is clipped, you can adjust it in itch.io in windows size (add 200 to height set inside unity so the whole window fits without clip). The idea is quite interesting, maybe missing a bit on polishing and difficulty curve, but for a compo it's a solid one. Would be nice to have just one interaction key for pickup/drop.
Haha how did you come up with such a whimsical idea ?, it's playable and engaging, which is most important. Good entry.
mood 10 stars. Pretty cool mechanic, very engaging. The audio and post process matches the aesthetics, well done !.
holy crap, this is soo polished it could go directly on Steam. It's impressive, the mechanic is smart and well executed. Well done.
First of all the searching time is killing me, the rest is quite nice <3. I think I see where you wanted to go with it and it kind of has been achieved. I love the mood, the weird sounds on right channel are very creepy on my headphones at midnight :D. Solid entry, way to go.
Very nice entry for a first gameJam, very moody. What software did you use to make the background tune? it's very catchy <3 I'd love to have full mouse look, it's a bit awkward to look up and down with mouse and left and right with keyboard, but it's a small thing.
Wow impressive execution, but very sad. You manage to capture the mood perfectly matching the narrative with great audio. Very solid entry.
Links are missing ?
This is the most beautiful game I have seen so far. the controller is very responsive and the atmosphere is matching nicely. Solid entry <3
very hilarious entry <3 good controls.
This is a very nice entry, the mechanic is pretty smart, and I love the level design. Very solid entry <3
Its quire impressive to do a solid mining base in such a short time on a new engine <3 Well done.
Holy cow this is impressive, and probably most fun to play game I tried so far
@kristinamay be sure to click on the game window, sometimes it looses focus, then just arrows or WSAD.
@welby Sorry to hear that, which system you run? I might add dedicated build. Tried to optimize in the little time I had, maybe resizing the window down will help? it already runs in 960x800 you dont go full screen do you?
@tim77 thank you for the comment. the stream just pushes you in the direction, you must have had hit the wall while being accelerated, I tried to pay attention so all colliders are in place. And you don't want to know how much time I spent on boids :( haha
@liammasters thanks for the comment I haven't heard about ABZU before, thanks for pointing that out
@welby glad to hear thanks for reporting that.
@greg-the-egg thanks for playing, the darkening was down on the list of "maybe" tasks, sadly didn't get to make it. The main issue with the distance initially was not a problem as all rocks were aligned to the 0 in z but I later unintentionally broke it while trying to make the level look more interesting :<
Wow I can imagine how much work went into me thinking I am really on an old computer, this is incredible. As for gameplay I seem to get stuck, I believe I clicked all there is, what should I do? wait for more stuff to be sent my way ?
Wow thats a very coherent 80s style game, the gameplay is amazing. What software you use to make the main theme? I love it <3
Very nice and innovative mechanic, like the fact it gets darker as you go deeper.
Its a angry birds kind of challenging and this is very good, if it was intended :D it definitely want's me to replay to beat my score. Props for two players option <3
Nice time killer. Would love to see the score during gameplay so I can see how close I am, unless this is trimmer as some of your UI appear on webGL version, set the screen size on itch.io game settings to the same as you made the builds with in the engine.
Really cool entry ,such a wise inmplementation.
Wow the presentation is excellent, very nice to the eye and coherent. I love it <3
very good looking games and nice story, love it <3
This is a nice mechanic and solid complete implementation with a coherent style throughout.
Wow this is very entertaining <3
Wow this is a very solid game and nice time-killer. I recommend you set the itch window size to be the same as one you had set in Unity making the build, as the whole UI doesn't fit in window mode.
Quite interesting game, and the difficulty builds up nicely, Solid for only 16 hours. I am wondering about another version of this, where you don't have time limit, but go for highscore, and die if you reach the crossroads without having chosen the direction before.
Wow very interesting idea. the control is quite hard, but I think this is a part of it. Love the falling sound <3
This is very interesting, the game systems are quite complex and well thought, and for that big congratz especially given it's your first game jam.
I actually like the art, its different style and overall coherent. I had some fun with physics, I see you used Unity, how did you set it up? just 2d colliders? because I couldn't manage to break it hehe.
Definitely best game here, gameplay is very engaging, it's so polished that you could basically put it out to store as is. Very impressive work.
Love the game and sound, after some time my action become a bit repetitive, but really solid effort.
When it says "Press space to start" I press everything (including space) but it doesn't start. Web build on Chrome on macOS. Any Ideas ?
@nidup yes, the stuff is animated, I am getting this error in the console: ``` phaser.js:80488 The AudioContext was not allowed to start. It must be resume (or created) after a user gesture on the page. https://goo.gl/7K7WLu boot @ phaser.js:80488 boot @ phaser.js:35778 Phaser.Device._readyCheck @ phaser.js:63043 setTimeout (async) Phaser.Device.whenReady @ phaser.js:62993 Phaser.Game @ phaser.js:35591 SimpleGame @ bundle.js:1033 window.onload @ bundle.js:1043 load (async) Object.defineProperty.value @ bundle.js:1042 __webpack_require__ @ bundle.js:20 (anonymous) @ bundle.js:3450 __webpack_require__ @ bundle.js:20 Object.defineProperty.value @ bundle.js:66 (anonymous) @ bundle.js:69 phaser.js:35890 Phaser CE v2.10.3 | Pixi.js | Canvas | WebAudio http://phaser.io ♥♥♥ ```
@nidup yup that version worked for me. Very nice concept and coherent style including music. Quite impressive to pull such complex mechanics in just 48 hours, definitely stands out from the bunch. Well done and thank you for making effort so I could play it. :)
Cool game, would love to be able to should in diagonals :) .
Very complex and interesting game, has a lot of glitches but fun nonetheless. Kermit is a really nice addition. There is a lot of cure/funny details, i.e. driving car like Fred Flinstone haha. Would love separation lines between clusters in sudoku (I made huge mess there too, pushed around all the employees and escaped through the front hole). Good entry and impressive work for only 48 hours. .
don't own a controller, cannot review sorry.
Very nice game, missing some background music, but very entertaining, some questions are very difficult :]. Solid effort.
I can clearly see that you went too ambitious and didn't have time to finish. With that said, many elements of the game are really well executed (i.e. garage, sounds, camera controller, coin machine). I hope you continue working on it, because you are really onto something here, but It's hard to figure correlation with the theme.
Very cool idea, I love the music that comes out of my effort :) At times it's hard to align the beat, but overall fun to play.
The gameplay is actually nicely balanced and engaging, One problem I had was that all my burgers in first level were vegetarian ;[.
@niborious It was supposed to be a joke about these veggie burgers, I got the design choice right away, and it's a very logical one :)
Love the sound chechechecheckpoint :D. Nicely looking art too. Controller is a bit hectic but overall solid effort.
Wow the atmosphere is amazing, I know it's a lot to ask but would be great to include voice acting. It's the first game here with multiple language support WOW. Good job :) Screen Shot 2018-04-30 at 1.16.17 PM.png
Wow, very innovative idea. My brain hurts a bit it's fun to play. I think you could not highlight the selections in another color, just keep them normal and let player discover which are they. Good effort.
I think the AI crapped on Me and only had one enemy chasing me, nice idea I hope to see post jam with bugs fixed :)
Not sure if the link is to the LD or post LD version, seems like lots of coding to make this simulator, very impressive. Managed to fly through the ground once. :) Solid entry.
Wow how the hell this game is in danger zone... Love the concept, would love to be able to rotate the view and scroll faster through dialog. Really solid effort.
this is one of the best games here as it goes to overall feel. Game mechanics are smart (though buggy at times), story is quite funny too and I like the animation of the block. The last lever is a bit too difficult to my skills, sometimes you stay and plan next step you just get knocked :). I would love the camera follow to be faster so if I travel big distances I see stuff to land on. Also the menu seems to be broken.Very solid effort.
Nice ambience, and idea. Would add option to skip listening to the message.
Very interesting idea, hope to see it one day with a bit longer story
Nice Idea, throwing grenades has sharp learning curve :)
Interesting concept, but requires a bit more "love". It's a bit unclear which items do what, but solid effort.
Also managed to get there, from here I can just fall down and break the game. Screen Shot 2018-05-11 at 10.58.17 AM.png
Played WebGL build, controller works without issues, I found best way is to use AD and jump with mouse button. Quite challenging and thus entertaining. Good effort.
Nice and polished, few times I reached a moment when my shots at partially destroyed block were doing no damage (green block every time). Would love to see some jumpers or portals you have to use to get ammo from far floating islands. Good effort
30 strokes here. I think there is too many flying objects at early stage, would be good to see some progression different courses etc... The control feels nice. Good effort, and happy procrastinating :)
Wow quite a complex system for a short time that gamejam is, farming reminds me of Minecraft. One thing I miss would be possibility to adjust mouse sensitivity, also it lags every now and then. Well done!
Nice idea, and art. The gameplay needs some polishing for example I got stuck countless of times on corner of building and subsequently killed, also I have impression that the colliders of the flying thingy are a bit too big. Solid effort and coherent style.
Reached the point I could only move the goalie. Nice idea and implementation, but requires some balancing. Keep up the good work.
Very entertaining and engaging game, the turning it's a bit too sensitive but overal solid effort.
Cool concept, very terrifying, the dead animation is a bit late comparing to the shot sound. Nice animation effort. The night is very moody.
Really nice looks, and attention to details (i.e. she shine on the sword). Gameplay is fun at start but gets a bit repetitive, and of course I wasted on my seeds trying to shoot over the fence, so I had to restart :). Good Job
The art style reminds me of 90s and its coherent. Would love to add more variety to the dialogs. Good effort
Fun idea and fun to play I think would be more interesting to have the car driving a bit more realistic namely you cannot turn in place. Also is relatively easy to get ai stuck in the wall. All in all cool game, and solid effort.
Same as previous comments with controller, also I would un-parent the camera from the car and make it on some lerp + lookAt system, current setup makes me a bit dizzy. Good luck in the future.
That's a lot of work done for a compo game. Nice idea but very difficult to play :) Really solid effort.
Nice and relaxing, I recon you might have some bugs in the typing system, later on I get my hp taken out after typing just a first letter (correctly), also maybe it would be interesting to actually make user type fast to get some extra hp/"monyi" just to break the pacing a bit. Well done on the music :). Last thing, would love the restart button on game over screen.
I played on mac windowed at 1280x1024 and works smoothly. Man this is the most polished game I have seen so far on LD41 I love the shader work (in fact I am about to dig into your source to learn how it was done :)). Well done.
Interesting concept, and very scary, would love to see a char animated. Didn't like much the ooorly edited memes on the screen, it stands out in the wrong way.
So much mood :) never had so much emotions playing a quiz game, you guys have nailed it :)
+1 broken links
Like the idea and actual gameplay. One way to improve the enemy AI is to actually prerecord the sequences of moves of you playing the track its a lot of manual labour but gives decent result. Or use machine learning but it will take some time to set it up. Well done.
Interesting game, the suspicious bar maybe is filling a bit too fast. Very solid effort.
Very nice graphics, idea and controller. For me his game would be perfect if it had win/lose condition check :)
The unity car controls are a bit clunky but after some time one can get used to them, my best loop was 1:20, good atmosphere. Sadly on webGL there is no sound, but I get it on macOS build.
Nice and solid effort. I think the grid should be actually more dense, and AI needs some work, also would be good to hide options that are not available so user don't get confused. Quite a good time killer.
Interesting concept, was a bit confused at first before I find out there is a flame thrower. Personally would like the scene to be a bit more bright.
Last week was actually thinking about FPP runner. good idea, would be interesting in VR. I managed to got stuck on the right side wall. The art could use some love. Good effort
@Kusaihana Added macOSX build, enjoy.
Thanks @Jackson Frankland your comment made my day.
@Apace the belts are easier to beat using jumping (space) so just press direction arrow and space and block will move much faster. Thanks for good comment.
@blubberquark thanks for the comment, estimating where exactly you need to go is actually part of the puzzle. I am sorry about the "crash", did not have enough time to fully QA.
@Jima Thanks for review, yes I would need to write another algorithm for the blocks, pure random sometimes makes you angry :)
@sohakes Thanks for the comment, the frogger part is easier to beat using jumping. For the performance: I did not really pay too much attention into optimizing it, I enabled the mesh instancing on all materials( which did a lot of work) I still end up with few hundreds of draw calls (lots of gameobjects are scaled so no chance for batching). On the other hand I almost entirely use flat colors, so my RAM usage is moderate. Also I added time-lapse video to the bottom of the page, you can check it out to get some idea about the process.
@Lazlo319 @cowa @Imanol Pina Thanks for commenting and good word <3
@Axe I am aware of the lag especially on the webGL build, I also provided other platforms because of that. Thanks for reviewing. @dimaswift , @Kensou , @cincodenada thank you for good word :)
@Ananace Thanks for your kind review. I actually planned to fixed the camera angle as well as level itself i.e. the bridges are not aligned to player so you need to zig zag a bit. I just run out of time and therefore was not able to fix it. The lack of markers was actually intended as I thought of it as a part of element so you need to figure out where exactly you will need to go, of course when playing after I find it a bit annoying in times (especially for the top block spawner).
@Marchmain Thanks for a nice review, At first I missed this part of losing block or reset without having to commit suicide, this what happens when you design the game as you go :) haha. Later I thought of some block remover that would require some agility etc but just simply run out of time. Same applies for block color logic, I wish I had one more day or didn't have the need to sleep haha.
@Slashee the Cow thanks you so much for detailed review and good word. On the bottom of game page there is a timelapse video which pretty much demonstrates the development progress :). I agree with every single flaw you pointed out, I even had a 3d text instruction to jump down after verifying the block but removed it later because it wasn't matching imho. Cheers.
@NoNiMad , @AllesKapaul thanks for good word, and your time to review my game :).
@mintarcade thank you for lovely review <3
@Rodrigo Denúbila thanks for nice review, I reviewed your game too <3
@JackLeHamster Wow thanks for taking your time, after seeing someone else playing I see all the flaws of the game :) (definitely not talking about the music which was my first ever created and would take months to get better quality :)). I definitely need a checkpoint at the second part of the game so you don't have to start all over, and change the block spawn logic. The last piece for red Tblock you collected via jumping was epic :). Thanks again.
@CaldwellYSR thanks for advice and review, I didn't play test the game enough to figure out the check point is a must.
Like the art style!Would be interesting if you moving on the left screen actually controlled the scope on the right side
funny game, sometimes I was just lost, would love to get arrow indicators on where my players are, Liked the throw in with one guy popping there. AI a bit buggy at times. Overall nice idea and good effort.
The combat needs some love, I didn't like enemy spawning at my position, the sounds volume is a bit too loud. Also on web gl build top UI is trimmed, use minimal WbGL template in unity player settings->settings for WebGL, this will fix it. Like the music and jumping between ropes. Level is very vast, well done.
Screenshot was right, actually quite nice effort. Would love some stamina mechanics so if I walk a bit can do small jump same round.
Interesting concept, and it brings me the memories the 90s. There rewind mechanic was probably tricky to implement. I think there is some problem with the audio, it seems to stacking after restart.
This is a really complex game for 48 hours, well done
Very nice looking and entertaining game, I would consider randomizing ball spawn position to add a bit variety to it.
Nice 90s style art, a bit buggy sound then moving the frog. Also very interesting genesis of the game idea. Good effort.
I like the audio and music, reminds me of atari times. The idea is interesting but not sure if well executed, I would start game at the kitchen and put a recipe on the wall showing required ingredients, than you need to pick up only those. Also not sure if I got the idea good, but after 3rd restart I was not able to pickup any ingredients anymore. With all that said, you do have a complete coherent game, which Is something to be proud of.
