THIS IS SUCH A GOOD GOLF GAME! SO CUTE TOO!
I had to stop because I was going to give myself an injury, but this game was a good clicker game.
Really simple and nice concept. Well executed.
Great Clicker game that requires a balanced economy. Like the use of limited color as well.
Had a funny turtle art asset, so I had to give it a go. Really funny premise!
It's really hard. :skull:
Cute clicker game. Nice and short.
I can't make it past 10 limit. The time runs out so fast! :scream: But very fun premise!
Fun little golf game but the ball is a fish, nice!
This is a really clever use of theme!
Love the visuals, controls, and movement. Don't like the premise, or the enemies.
This one of the more funny entries I've seen! Great work!
Really cute. I rly like how the insects were designed.
I like to wobble and shoot. Feels good when I actually land a hit, but it's pretty hard for me.
This game is wayyy too slow, at least on my machine, which is a shame because it has a really nice gameboy style and cute audio. I just wish plants grew faster, or anything else happened to fill that time. When I first started playing the game, I thought I had broken it because I couldn't go anywhere and the plants took so long to grow.
I liked the story and the monster animations were really fun, but I think it was a little slow waiting for each story segment.
Really short and sweet! The controls are really tight. BEAUTIFUL ART AND ANIMATIONS! :turtle:
Really good multi-tasking game, but the unlock on the phone sticks a little. Other than that, really fun premise to explore. I wish more of the tasks had overlapping meaning to the story.
Really good art and good use of minigames!
I really love this one. Really simple missile game that's well executed and has cute slimes! When that SMART Missile kicks in it feels so good. 5's across the board.
Link is still broken for me. I would have really liked to play your turtle game. :/
Hey everyone I'm making another update at the very last minute, it should be posted up in 30min or so, so please GIVE IT A TRY. I added a shark to chase you and a goal, and the guys on the shell can die.
UPDATE: New version is up. Please give it a go. :shark: :turtle:
@firewill AAAA! <3 Thank you so much for playing to completion! You really hit the nail on the head. I didn't have time to add more functionality to the turtle units, which were also going to have jobs on the turtle shell slots for different tools that acted like upgrades. The pilot/conductor is the only real job, but the shark is also the only real enemy so I thought it balanced out a little. After the jam, I'm looking forward to trying to do more with the idea.
Beautiful Artwork! I love the style, and the idea of caravan for character is really funny!
This is a really clever use of theme, and I think a perfect jam game idea. Usually I try to smash through these to see more of the game, but this is one that really makes me take my time, yet still allows me to play at my own pace. Great job!
Love the plant buddy who needs to be planted to recharge. Very cute!
Very Zen and relaxing game to play and just kind of let my mind wander.
Really like controlling the hammer. It's so loose and fun.
I love the look of your underwater world and the creatures that try to snatch the goat up!
It's a very surreal setting which was cool. I had trouble dying though so I just chilled out and eventually the Jellyfish ate me. I kind of wish i had somekind of depth meter though.
This game's art and sense of humor are gonna break the jam ratings this year. It went for it. There were a couple puzzles where I felt like I was off barely and the physics required too much finesse. This game's team should be proud of how effective they all were in making an excellent and unique spin on the theme this year. I'll be remembering this submission in jam's to come.
i like the bottles to read while waiting for air to recharge, i wish there were more in better spots though
The platforming feels good for the most part, and the way it's mixed into the jumps and level design is fun to figure out. The forgiving checkpoints make it rly nice to work through quickly. Just a good simple platformer with a digging mechanic that feels good. Good game. Music and audio work together well too.
This game is actually rly nice to look at and controls surprisingly well for 3D flying. The drill is a little slow at drilling to make the game fluid. BUT WOW are the flying missiles intense when they first attack! I jumped out of my seat when the first missile hit me. It was rly cool!
I give Carl the coin but then I am not able to pick up the paper in the next room for the copier that he asks me to refill. I really like the art and setting for this game though, and also that one endless room is pretty cool. The game also has a tendency to crash in the elevator.
i really wish i could play this. The effects and environment look rly great with the music sounding nice, but it runs at about 5 frames a second on the WebGL on my laptop :'(
@tomeks i couldn't get it to run on Google Chrome but it runs fine on Microsoft Edge for some reason lol, i rly enjoyed it thank you. :D
Catching the vines feels rly good once I get the rhythm. Like Tarzan through the jungle. I think a main character or enemies coulda rly spiced this up well.
This game is amazing! It has that perfect loop of dodging on the way down for better rewards, but higher risk because there's more to dodge on the way up. And this is legitimately the best music and sound I've heard the entire game jam. Really good submission for LD48.
i hade trouble figuring out the controls at first, but eventually figured it out. you have to hold a direction AND push the dig button. everything looks nice, but the upgrades cost way too much for how much trouble it is to get the coins. The coins are just way too inconsistent, the level design can just make you lose. The screen speeds up before i can even dig for a little while to get the coins. I see the game here, i'm sad i couldn't get to it, bc i'm not good enough at the early parts.
Loose controls make me feel like I have a lot to learn about the finer mechanics of properly aiming and controlling the net, but the harpoon is simple, and the dynamite requires some timing. But all in all, it's rly cool to travel to the depths, fight a shark, and carry it back up like I'm recreating the Old Man and The Sea
Neat sort of plate spinning game about doing one thing in the down-time of driving downwards. It's really cool especially once you get to the darker parts. I wish it was a little clearer that I was earning progress towards art while going down though.
The art is amazing and the fish designs are extremely good. But the gameplay could probably be tightened up a little with more money for fish and a faster reel from the start. Otherwise rly relaxing game.
All the art in this game looks rly good, and I like having to make hard decisions about what to drill or buy. I kind of wish the side-to-side movements were faster or costed less though.
@mahjoub i originally kept that from happening with a quick-fix, but i'm not surprised the game still has that bug at this point, haha! I'm gonna have to add sky and space fish to make the most of the feature.
@chris-mondok Teaching players to "tighten the loop enough" before reeling in was a challenge. I was tight on time when setting the correct distance to collect the fish, so those distances are very rough. Thank you for playing.
@mrnyarlathotep I agree. I had ppl tell me that they didn't even know they could reel-in, which is the only way to reset the rope to the max rope length. It would have been a relatively easy fix too. I guess I was in a hurry at the end. It's rly a shame for me. Thanks for the feedback.
it's the kind of game that would benefit a lot from sound or effects. But i like the mechanic of trying to get coal without any of the other things.
The art in this game is wonderful, although I couldn't see it in the WebGL, but it worked in the Windows build. I like the idea and the concept and the setting... but I can't figure out what on screen is what in the book fast enough, and I wasn't able to figure out any recipes past the first one. The text in the book is hard to read.
It's a really nice upgrade loop focused game. I like the art and the very nice use of 3D models. I think some of the upgrades in the middle are a little too spaced out for my tastes. And I think the final enemy obstacles were a little too easy to dodge. But other than that, a very well put together game.
got stuck on the 2 stacks of 2 pots, but i think the game is an enjoyable rupe goldberg builder-esque game, and it's satisfying to dip the food in the grease and watch it grow
Not sure why the game starts off with some weird insulting the player humor, but the game is alright. You just guide a fish around to various collectibles for challenges which is kinda neat. I didn't feel like continuing after dying from being bounced around by damage at the end after the keys though. It looks good and sounds good, and i like the energy of all the fish moving around.
rly like the simple pathing puzzles and little sounds. it's chill. the blocks of water to path out optimally were probably my favorite, and my least favorite was level 18 with the dark maze that you have to trial and error, where i also quit, lol
Pretty fun game of frantically fighting for enough resources to upgrade the air and continuing to sink deeper. I love the art and the way the fish get knocked around is really fun and silly. Wish there were more varied kinds of fish though.
It's a nice dodging game, but the game could rly benefit from a way to allow the screen to go down faster, or for the player to get deeper sooner.
This game is very hard. I don't think I can make it to 50 meters. I rly like the beginning though, where the fish jumps out of the boat and escapes. It is very funny. I also like the explosion that happens on death which is cool.
The art and animation for the little mother and the babies on top of the painted environment makes for a very tense stroll with very cute animals that i'm afraid for. The other animal dialogue in the world makes the situation narratively tense. My only advice would be to shorten maybe a couple of the longer stretches.
I like the way the levels show the ocean in a very colorful way. The movement is tight and the hitboxes are ok but maybe could be a little more forgiving.
The voice clips are so good, and i love the destructible environment!!
Very pleasant game of aiming for stuff to feed the roots. Maybe could've used some obstacles, but the way the roots look at the end is actually amazingly realistic. It's so cool to see at the end!
I like a good simple jumper game. I like getting the hang of understanding how to hit space bar to go where i want. hit about 34m and felt good abt it. I sort of wish the depth had more going on as i went deeper tho.
This game is rly good, it has a nice blend of movement, gathering, and timing. Just a nice experience of being an octopus. The graphics and audio make rly set the mood too, and I love the educational tidbits.
the ending made me chuckle. I think it's a clever way to end a game. The art and light sound is rly good too.
