Had fun with this one! Do wish it there was a way to see your mountain finished. Would be satisfying.
Easily spent a good 15 minutes of my time on it though, a bit addicting!
Also pretty funny.
Good job!

Weirdly addicting, I had fun playing it!
That is really fun to play, even if it is basically just a tycoon with a slightly randomized income, I would definitely say that it is one of my favorites. Also, it would be cool to have a version where everything has a rigidbody and spawns on the player's click, so you have to think about where you place it to keep it balanced.
@jetthesimon @mickeyo @thatothernerd Thanks! Really love that you guys are enjoying it.. Already have a plan to add more content and expand on this game :)
I made it to Everest! Lots of fun for a passive incremental game, watching the mountain build on the right is very satisfying.
I found the accuracy powerup to be the most useful - it was really the difference between going nowhere and slowly working my way up. Base doesn't seem too useful since it doesn't seem worth restarting - even with just a 1-wide mountain, eventually you'll get a good hit and it seems that the mountain can get wide again afterward.
Looking forward to more expansions to this!
Love the concept and great execution. Had fun playing it! Great submission!
Great innovative idea :)
Polished presentation and I liked the use of achievement milestones. It was satisfying to see the tower build itself in real time. I think it would be nice to look at adding more types of upgrades and varying the costs a little bit. Each upgrade costs roughly the same each tier if I remember correctly, and this could be a good way to make the choices you make feel like they have more impact.
@sayumeki Congratulations! Glad you enjoyed and played to the end of it :) Yes, it's not balanced at all but it's something I will do when I continue work on the game. In addition, to more content and more control to the player :)
@daniel-conway Thanks, glad you enjoyed it ;)
@rastagrzywa Thanks! :)
@mbc I'll definitely be looking into giving the player more control when I continue work on it. In the meantime I'm really glad you enjoyed it ;)
It was difficult to understand that in the game you can not control the platforms. I think music plays a big role in such a game. It’s even for the best. WolframTones allowed by the rules. Like indirect control games.
Good idea, was over way to soon
Nice! But when i was playing, i discovered a bug, I would send you the picture but i can't. So i will send it in the itch io page
@howlingshame Yes, I might find someone to help me with game sounds and music :) Never heard of WolframTones - thanks ;)
@bakob Thanks, I'll be adding more features/upgrades/content over the coming weeks ;)
@kinshuk-thebest Yep, there are plenty of bugs there which I didn't have time to debug/fix but I'll continue work on the game and iron them out then ;)
Took a little while to get into the game and figure out how to control it, for an indirect control game it's pretty decent. I would definitely like to see more options or variations of what you could influence as at the moment and given time you would eventually "win" without doing anything at all. All the actions do is allow you to reduce the time between now and when you win.
I would definitely love to see an expanded version of this game.
I was pretty confused at first, but once I realized it's an idle game it all made sense. I liked it, just needs a little more content. Fun was had. :)
Cool idle, very relaxing, I would like to hear some chill music if possible.
@kjscott Thanks and yes, I have all that in the plan when I continue work on the game :)
@gimblll Ya, it's a little bit short on content.. Something I'll improve over the coming weeks after the jam :)
@owl-skip Music and sound isn't really my forte but it will definitely be added to the final game :)
Very Zen and relaxing game to play and just kind of let my mind wander.
Cool concept. Took me a while to realise that you couldn't direct the blocks, and that refreshing wasn't a loss. Nice little incremental game.
@welby and @princesschoochoo I'm glad you both enjoyed it!
That was a neat and enjoyable experience, easily spent 10 min just watching the blocks fall on each other. It reminds me of that one arcade game where you have to time the blocks to stack on top of each other except i can actually win this one.
Cool idea for a clicker! The height references on the left are a nice touch :)
*You forgot to share your code source*
It tok ages for me to understand that i could not control the platforms. Haha, even checked the battery of my keyboards. But when i first figured it out i was surprised how addictive the game was. Simple but clever
> It tok ages for me to understand that i could not control the platforms.
Me too, but the game is addictive anyway
@himegized Haha :D Glad you enjoyed it ;)
@johnjoemcbob Thanks ;)
@a-312 Let me see if I can still add it.. It's HTML, CSS, JS game so you can technically check all the source code in your browser which is why I didn't upload it separately but I'll see what I can do ;)
@dimling That seems to be a reaccuring theme and it will be first thing I change for the full release :) Really happy you enjoyed it :)
Loved the game. It was one of those jam games I played until the end. It a great concept and I can't wait to see it expanded in the future!
Something super satisfying about seeing a nice thick tower lol. Fun little game!
I love simulator games like this, especially when done as a god. It's pretty satisfying, I'd like to see a bit more added and I'd probably play more. Honestly the worst part is being maxed out in 5 minutes :p
This is not the kind of game I would ordinarily play, so I wasn't really able to understand it. It took me a few minutes to even realize the webpage was the game. (I guess, I don't even really know)
Haha this is so fun! One of the best game I've played so far, and it's just a really addicting clicker game!
@owen-davies, @hastro and @bonyok77 Thanks for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it ;)
@horus Yes, the lack of content was due to time constraints :) I'll definitely be expanding upon this idea which will bring much more gameplay/content :)
@almighty-games No worries :) I don't expect everyone to like or even understand this game but seeing you play the game did make me realize several flaws in the current state of the game which I'll be ironing out for the full release ;)
Fairly fun game, wish there was more to it! It was satisfying making it grow faster and faster.
This game shows a lot of potential, straightforward and fun we immediatly see a lot of design possibilities to create more cool content
Is very satisfying to play this! Wish you could save out your tower though
I think this mountain might be upside down.
Addicting and fun ! if there where more stats to play with I would play this for hours, even days XD
Love the idea!
Cool idea, reminds me of Cookie Clicker or Universal Paperclips. It would be neat, but maybe difficult, to be able to zoom out all the way to see your whole tower.
@stefanie-leitch, @echonia, @kemsou Thanks, glad you enjoyed it and more content is coming ;)
@gunnbju, @thebreakfast Happy you enjoyed playing it :) I think the tower ends up too big/tall for it to be exported/zoomed out nicely but I'll look into it :)
@rob1221dev Yes :D
@ishmandoo Thanks, glad you enjoyed playing it ;)
neat idle game, fun concept. is there a penalty to resetting the state? it seems like a mechanic in its own right. once you get to a certain accuracy you can reset and grow a perfect mountain!
I had issues playing the webedition on Chrome, it only showed the 3 icons on top (+1 accuracy, small base, x2 speed)
@acgaudette Thanks! There is very little penalty as lower floors provide less followers.. All this will be improved/fixed as I continue work on the game.. ;)
@misterg420 I believe I fixed this issue already so maybe hard refresh that clears cache will fix it for you.. You can do that by pressing Control+Shift+R (or Command+Shift+R on Mac) when you have the game open.. Otherwise, try enabling hardware acceleration for your browser - here is how you can do that for chrome - https://www.technipages.com/google-chrome-enable-disable-hardware-acceleration-mode ;)
Interesting take on idle games. Thanks for bringing it by the stream!
I like the idea of an idle game for Ludum Dare. I also like the physical representation of your progress. Idle games are largely about numbers going up, and here you actually get to see that. The fun part of idle games for me is understanding and managing systems to break through exponential barriers. Clicker Heros and Kittens Game do this best.
I'd like to see this built out with more detail and more complex systems. Maybe you start with a tiny tiny tower so that reaching the sky is more impressive.
In any case, this is a neat entry, well done.
@erebus Thanks, glad you enjoyed it :)
@microchasm Yes, yes and yes! I have a lot of those plans written down and I'm slowly pushing through in implementing all of them. Can't wait to release a new version of the game with more content, better balance etc :) Glad you enjoyed it ;)
Hey there! I have some conflicting feelings about this one. The game comes with very few instructions, so I'm unsure if the experience I had was intended, if I'm good at the game, or lucky, or that's just how it goes etc. So I guess, from my experience, the game is an idle game (cookie clicker etc) where there's no real way to lose. It's just about spending the upgrades when they become available to make the system go faster.
Given that, I think the game wasn't super interesting to me personally. I could see some interplay between the various upgrades, but there never seemed to really be a reason to choose one over the other and, ultimately, I could just click them whenever or however I wanted and the game would move forward all the same. I would have liked to see some of those options result in significantly differing outcomes for the tower, or to see the whole tower at the end looking like X or Y based on when I purchased each upgrade.
That said, lack of sound aside, I thought the game presented itself pleasantly, and liked the idea behind persistent save data. Thanks for the submission!
Liked the stats as the height reached a new milestone.
Would be cool if the mountain had some art over it, and maybe a zoomed out version, so you could see what was built, as well as the zoomed version. :mountain_snow:
@adamcyounis Thanks for playing my submission :) This was my first game and I completely agree with not having any real choices for the player apart from just buying whatever they can afford until game is finished :) I'm working on completing/improving and releasing full version of this game now which will solve all these issues :)
@johnnysix Glad you enjoyed it! I'm going to be improving the "theme" and graphics of how mountain is being created which should give a much more enjoyable experience int theory :D Anyway, thanks for playing ;)
Nice idea! I included it in my Ludum Dare 46 compilation video series, if you want to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/Xpc46Nkubiw
i have no idea why, but this game was addictive and a lot of fun.
its kind of simple but genius.
my tower is still growing in another browser window :-)
Decent little idle game. I wish there was more to it. I beat it in about 3 minutes.
Good work! The visual style is pretty appealing, with the bright colored blocks. The little achievements for getting taller were a good touch.
