Real good concept, congrats on your first LD, would lover to see you compete again in the future!
I really enjoyed this game. Congrats on all you achieved in the 72 hours. I would maybe reccommend adding something else to it cause after about 5 mins of playing i got bored. Maybe adding some form of enemy or more of an objective. Despite that great use of the theme and an excellent concept :)

Thanks to everyone else who has commented feedback, i have been improving the game since Ludum Dare ended and it looks good, will post a newer version for people to play after voting and my exams!

@ajayajayaj yeah that was a bug with the inventory which is why it has now been scrapped favouring just the hotbar allowing for there to be more precise selection of items, and its less buggy
@mrchippy what system are you using, may help for future development. I am also sorry that this occured from all other tests it seems to be fine
@rick, yeah was a bit too ambitious especially for a teenager with an extremely busy schedule, i will head your advice, sorry that there wasn't any guides to the game that is being added so that new players can tell what they need to do. Thank you for telling me that you didn't understand it. Helps for future reference.

Loved the concept, unfortunately the lack of sound effects or music was a shame cause the game felt good. I loved the Doom like feel. Good start keep it up!

Really love the concept, and the execution is quite good. Would be nice if it had some kind of introduction to the mechanics. Regardless I had a lot of fun playing it and look forward to Post-Jam Versions!

@larnin I made it in java 8, so that may be causing an issue, can you try opening it through console and telling me what it is saying

@suve yeah, your aim is to get the right 3 items. Yeah, the item selection was a part of the original idea. Yeah its in the Antarctic, gets dark really quickly (Let's go with that at least).
@justcamh thanks for the suggestions, I will take it into consideration for future development, yeah I saw that the light didn't help, I just need to work on it for later versions.

@wfmg yeah, the spells were meant to slow the monsters down rather than attack, I can see that now. I do think that I should've added a skip option into the cutscene, it is quite long and after the first time repetitive, welp, good to know for the future!
@franfox thanks, yeah skippable cutscenes seem to be the most common improvement suggestion
@gamebuilder Yeah, I am now noticing a bug where the sleep spell, (essentially time stop) didn't end up working, so yeah that's a bug
@tiar yeah, there was meant to be some better level design for the worlds, but I "wasted" a lot of time on attempting procedural generation. The spells were meant to work, I also should have made it more clear in the description though.

Game Is a good platformer would be good to have more levels, graphics are nice. HOWEVER, having an exit button would be nice xD
VERY SOLID GAME! Love the graphics and the excellent use of the theme. Also love that it is in blue rather than the more classical red.
The art style is good, but the game isn't as fun as I was hoping for, unfortunately BUT the game is something different and good.
Nice game, with something different as a mechanic, some of the collisions were a bit awkward at times. Still an enjoyable game overall.

Like the game, it was hard to control due to the leader of the pack mentality. Still I love the graphics and its something new that I've not played before. Good Job!

Love the graphics and style of the game, I started playing and was like, I'll play a few days, about 50 days later, I was still playing. VERY ENJOYABLE and amazing it was made in 72 Hours!
Love the premise of the game, some of the inputs struggled for me at times, but that could be my system. Otherwise a very enjoyable game!
Nice use of the theme and the graphics look good. I think it may have just been me, but the controls were off for some reason.

Nice game! loved the graphics. Couldn't figure out how to take photos but still was enjoyable to walk around and see the animals!
LOVE THE GAME! it feels so much like a classic platformer and is a good twist on the theme. One thing I might recommend is adding a bit of movement when you wall jump, away from the wall. It would just add to the feel more. Other than that AMAZING GAME!
Loved the graphics and the fact it felt consistent. However it was kinda inconsistent when the slime would attack making strategies near impossible. Still loved the game. :thumbsup:
Love the concept, makes for a good experience. Controls are smooth. However i managed to get a high score quite easily. Maybe i'd recommend ramping the difficulty as you go on.
Loved the concept, The graphics remind me of 8-bit games and I love it. Would recommend if you continue it to expand on the story more. Other than that, great effort!
