Exciting! Only issue is that the scaling of the game takes took long and the punishment is too much for how much time you end up playing.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD40 → BulletCoin

Great, i enjoy the concept. Not my usual style of game. But really enjoyed it!
Interesting entry, good job!
Wow this was a really interesting idea - cool way to mix genres!
A really good use of clicker-style mechanics. I like the use of UI elements as the enemy. It would be nice if it scaled just a little faster. :)
Great idea combining two existing genres of game to fit the theme! Beyond that, it gets old a bit, and the high pitched coin sound gets grating. Still I really like the idea.
Took me some time to understand how the game worked. But I could see myself getting hooked :) Maybe if the mouse was a special color or animated a tiny bit, could explode when hit?
Good implementation of clicker/bullet hell mash up. The GUI looks neat. The gameplay gets a little repetitive after some time. But overall, it's a good game :)
Took a while to realize why I was losing, but when I did the game became very fun and addicting! also fits the theme perfectly! Nice Job!
I WOULD MINE :D Awesome cryptocurrency!
Nice idea for a clicker / avoid everything on the screen combo. I enjoyed it and I was a bit addicted :)
A really interesting idea for a game, certainly not one I expected to see! I was worried at first that it was just going to be a "cookie clicker", but the bullet-hell aspect of it made it really fun and challenging — easily the most fun I've had playing a game about clicking a button! I particularly liked that the increase difficulty is completely controlled by the player, as you don't have to buy new things until you're ready. To be honest, though, repeatedly clicking the same button got a bit tedious (my index finger had a bit of a workout!). It would have been nice if, instead of clicking, you just had to hold the cursor over the button.
The dark souls of clicker games. 5 stars.
A bullet-hell clicker! This rules! The difficulty curve felt kept it interesting I thought. My sole criticism is that a miner-thing covered up my score pretty early on, so I couldn't see the numbers.
I like how this game is simple, creative, and also addicting. Great work! Would be nice instead of Insta death, that you would lose some of your money instead or go down a level or maybe have some hit points
Cookie clicker mixed with bullet hell - never seen that before. This played really well for what it was; I really liked it!
I did have the same bug as Thomas Molby described above at one point, which was a little bit frustrating. Seriously though, well done, especially with the limited time you described having.
Really cool twist!
The only issue I had with the game was the ear piercing coin sound, which made me mute the game a couple minutes in.
Two simple ideas combined to make an awesome one. This is very neat!
Definitely one of the better clicker games I've played, the bullet hell twist was a brilliant idea. Music + audio pitch-randomization would be nice, maybe if the pace of the coin-farming picked up a bit I would have played longer. Good game though, nice original idea!
Nice work! This is an amazing idea! I haven't played anything like this before. some better sounds + music would be nice but I see you didn't have the full 48 hours. Oh and where do I convert my BulletCoins? ;)
Genius. This is either a fantastic game masquerading as a silly one, or a silly game masquerading as a fantastic one. In either case, at first I thought, "boy, what a nothing experience," and three seconds later when I "got it," I thought, "why has no one thought of this before?" Well done. It's fun: that's the point.
You should give a screenshot. Then again a screenshot of it will make people think it's bland but OH BOY THIS IS REALLY COOL. **You should continue this.**
* Where do I start?! That's really innovative there! You should really continue with this it would be really cool! Especially when you start working towards actually preventing yourself from random cheap deaths like the ability to hide your cursor for 1 second. I'm just gonna stop myself from suggesting too much. There's really so much stuff you can do with this. Plus, I think small little touches could make this better, like small effects. * Don't you think the punishment is too high? I mean, getting so much B$ and getting hit once is too much. I hope you can make something around that. * There's only one pet peeve for me other than the cheap random deaths: The color of the cursor and the available buttons. They are too similar and I end up not noticing the position of the cursor. * Here's a funny moment for me: I tend to speed-click on clicker games like these. I made a wall that I can't pass through lol. * Volume slider would be nice but I think someone mentioned that before.
Simple at best but man, clicker games are compelling but you did make it a lot better to make someone pay attention.
WOW! :) This one is really cool. I have never liked those annoying clicker games, but with these extentions of yours it enters another dimension of entertainment.
This is a very innovative and addictive game. Great job! Would be nice if it's not Insta kill and maybe just lose some gold or go from getting hit though.
Thanks for playing guys! The screenshot was missing as I had run out of time to submit. I'll include one :D.
As for the punishment, I do agree its a little harsh that its insta-gameover. Was contemplating allowing players to purchase lives but it wasn't really fitting the theme. Briefly contemplated making those "extra lives" dog your movements throughout the game, but that sounded more like a nightmare (to play). Might consider doing it though!
Looks like I have a laundry list of stuff to improve upon, but for the game jam rating I'll keep it as it is: - Objects blocking your score (whoops!) - The miner speed upgrade cost goes crazy after an upgrade. - Cursor color is too similar to the button color. - Sometimes you die if you exit the screen and a bullet hits you(actually meant for it to be a real idle clicker in that you could tab in and out and "cheat") - Needs faster escalation - Music + sound needs a lot of improvement - Do sprites in better software (MS Paint does an OK job but...)
@randomphantom That's great you're working on it!
Though I should point out and I think the others can agree that placing in a  on their comments you found helpful do helps their Karma, if you haven't known that already. Really appreciated if you do.
I really like this game. I think the jump to $500 BulletCoins(TM) is a bit steep for a second step in a clicker/bullet hell. Nice game though, good mashup.
Super interesting concept here! I really like how well this game fits the theme and the mix between two very different kinds of games.
Quite unique idea. The execution design-wise was relatively good, but far too clickspammy. As for the technical side, the sound effects... well, I had to mute them. Also, the amount of money I currently have is far too easily obstructed by the generators.
I'm genuinely impressed. Mixing clickers with bullet hell actually brought new life to a relatively stale genre. _This_ is why I love compo games. Minimalistic, simple to understand, very tight and impressive.
Everything from mechanics to views work like a charm and in cooperation. The instructions of "_everything_ pink can kill you" were far more literal than I thought, and one of my runs had an early (and hilarious) end because of a loading bar. It took me by surprise, and I thought it was genius.
My only qualm here is that sometimes, I'd have troubles dragging objects around. Other than that, I welcome this compo game with wide arms. In behalf of my team, good work, and good luck on the compo! :whale:
This is a fantastic concept. The art style and execution was awesome.
EDIT: Thanks @randomphantom for coming to the stream to help me see the error of my ways! have changed ranking to reflect the game now I've experienced it properly <3
I really struggled with this, a pink circle kept randomly appearing and filling the screen (I guess the game over animation) but when I wasn't doing anything obviously wrong? I would try and go slowly and generate the coins a decent rate and ensure I wasn't coming into contact with any of them - but it would just randomly do the pink circle game over thing. It happened as I buily my first minor, and I moved my black square away to safety before doing so but still it just randomly ended. Feel free to give feedback, I streamed it on my twitch channel (1hr30 into stream) if you want to check the vod - I'll play again if you can give guidance.
Nice concept! Really like the fact that you have to dodge stuff with your mouse, while clicking. But cursor could've used a bit more contrast with the rest though. It felt a bit like a bullethell/shmup when clicking wildly. It is really cool that you have the difficulty level in control yourself, risk/reward kind of stuff! It scales a but too slow, but overall really cool!
Really inventive genre mashup and a perfect interpretation of the theme! The more upgrades you buy, the more points you'll get, but it also makes the bullet hell hellisher and further progress more difficult. Clever! I did have to turn the sound of pretty soon, because it got quite grating but I'm not sure what a better way of doing it would be either. :p
I'm not sure what the generators did tho. I didn't feel like coins were being mined automatically if I didn't click when I had one but maybe they were. It was difficult to tell because two miners had ended up in front of my coin count so I couldn't see. Would probably have been better to make that part of the UI separate from the "game field" even tho the UI being part of the game was kinda the thing. Just that part.
Really liked it! Very interesting!
Very unique game!I like that the UI is also part of gameplay. The more mining power you have the harder to click things on the UI and proceed. The UI is simple but the visual/audio effects made it still enjoyable to play.
The only problem is that with the web player, it seems that you can just move the cursor out of the game window and avoid any bullet.
Fantastic combination of clicker and bullet hell. Only need to fix a small issue with counter overlapping  Anyway, I had a good time with this game.
