This game is perfect for one play. It doesn't have this replay ability, but it doesn't need this. I can't really put my finger on anything that would need more polish.

This game is perfect for one play. It doesn't have this replay ability, but it doesn't need this. I can't really put my finger on anything that would need more polish.
Controls make this game very hard, but it is still pretty manageable and fun.
Graphics are clear. To be honest, music isn't really good, and sounds effects are a bit annoying. I can also walk off the gameplay area. I don't think this was intended, at least not to this deegree that I can go one kilometer away from camera.
Overall it is a fun game if you turn off the sounds.
Fits both themes, graphics are good, but IMO you used too much of a screen shake. It is a pretty fun game nonetheless.
Fun simple game, with an interesting approach to the theme. I like it.
Okay game, just two complaints: kinda frustrating because of how coins are bouncing around, and sounds are a bit irritating. But overall - well done.
A pretty fun little game. Upgrade system is done well, except it may be a bit unbalanced. Graphics are nice, but it is sometimes hard to see bullets of small yellow enemies. Music is nice, but sound effects are a little bit tiring. But well, it is a great game. I just wish it had difficulty levels.
This game should get the reward for 'The Best Voice Actor In The Universe And Maybe Beyond Because Why Not So Let's Give Him This' (TBVAITUAMBBWNSLGHT reward)
But on a more seroius note, it is hard to hit anything. And I think this is the only complaint I have. So, great job!
Graphics are good, they give that nice retro feeling. Sound effects may be a bit annoying for some people, but I am okay with it. You did both themes well. Difficulty is increasing a bit too fast, and this is slighty lowering the fun out of this game. About humor... I don't want to know why you got an idea to do this 'surprise'. And about mood, I like this retro feeling of this game. Would be even better if you used Gameboy classic color palette. Overall, this is a pretty good game which lacked just a bit to be perfect.
Second pattern is the easiest. Third pattern is very easy too. First pattern is passable even for noobs even though it is harder than the following two. But the fourth pattern... It is the definition of insanity for this control scheme.
Graphics are clear, ship's hitbox is easily visible, audio may be a bit annoying, but it is something you get used to. The lose message is a bit too depressing.
I... Well... That was... Something.
The moment I've seen these screenshots I have thought: 'it will be bad but funny game...' And it wasn't that bad but it was still funny. It still could get some polish when it comes to hitboxes, but well done.
Pretty fun game, fits growing theme easily, and nearly fits two button control theme. Graphics are okay, but it would be better if fishes far away were semi-transparent instead of instantly appearing and disappearing. It would also be better if you could easier find out if you can eat the target or not.
The idea is here, but the gameplay feels decent at most. Graphics are nice, I like the art style. I don't see the humorous side of this game, maybe except 'swaggy' look of the zombies. The 'zombie apocalypse' mood is present and it is done okay. Overall, a pretty decent game, lacking just some polish.
After a moment, this game gets pretty frustrating. The effortlessly made background and the lack of music adds something to the mood of the game, but it isn't really something I like to look at. Shooting feels not very intuitive, and how walljumps works is a mystery to me.
Oh, and just one tip: edit your entry and deselect that you want to be judged in Audio caterogry, since there is none.
Music doesn't work -_-
Fun little game. The graphics aren't the best, but they have it's own unique feel. The sound effect of THE RAGE EATER when going to the next level is great. I hoped for level 4 though. It would be nice to destroy some planets.
Good game, just a few complaints:
- Vision radius is too small and it makes it hard to react to ANYTHING.
- Just try to hold one direction - you will bounce out of wall and slow down until you release your finger off the screen
- A little bit too dark sprites. May be a personal preference though.
"OH GOD!" "OH MAN!" "OH GOD!" "OH MAN!" "OH GOD!" "OH MAN!"
To be honest, I don't even know what to judge here. It could be more fun if it needed more effort to guess which line would be next? It technically fits the theme, buuut... Can we really call this a game?
Well, the falling notes felt like they were placed at completely random positions. The music is nice, but well... it isn't really well fit for rhythym games. Interface could be done better - I would move the progress bar to the left or right side made it vertical, and move arrows much closer to each other. The hit windows for falling notes are fine.
Nearly no indication that you were hit. The background makes things (especially player's sprite) a bit hard to see. It doesn't fit ANY of the two themes.
Pretty difficult game, and it is unpolished, but it has potential.
The idea is nice, but... theme is nearly unused. I know it is hard theme to think about, but well. Anyways it is a fun game, could be better if the bullets moved a little faster. Graphics are clear, audio is okay, the only thing bothering be is that hitboxes seem a little but wonky.
Still, good job.
Don't put misleading links. You also need to put link to source code, because you submitted game to the compo category. No rating for now.
In my opinion, levels ups like this in tetris based game are a huge mistake. The game should promote skill, not mindless grind. The controls are a bit wonky, it is hard to explain though without making a great wall of text.
The idea, except this horrendous leveling system is perfect. The graphics are clear, and the color palette is good too.
This game has potential to be fun, but you doesn't need to switch from owl form even once in the game. Even enemies aren't dangerous at all, because they don't see birds. That's a HUGE design flaw.
Graphics and BGM are nice though.
The background music is bad to be honest. Controls aren't the best too. But the idea and graphics are pretty nice. Level design is also good (at least for the first 3 stages).
Interesting, but frustrating game. I like it.
Interesting idea, 3rd level seems impossible to pass, but the whole game is fun as hell.
Graphics are perfect, audio is good, but this game lacks something more important than this. It lacks fun after 20 seconds of gameplay. Randomly shooting with the transmutation gun in hope that this is the target isn't fun.
Pretty fun little game, with decent, clear graphics, good idea fitting the theme. It was a very fun puzzle figuring how to defeat the boss.
Good idea and good use of theme, but controls are horrendous.
I am honestly impressed.
That was legitimately fun. The only bad thing is that there is easily found very cheap strategy - avoid battle until there is only one AI opponent left, then fight him.
This game should get to top 5, in at least 2 categories in my opinion. And I don't think others who played this game think otherwise.
REALLY fun game. Made me swear on multiple occasions. If the transition between death and the new game was shorter, you would reduce the frustration from deaths.
A well-made simple strategy game. Not to mention it is very well polished. All I can do is to congratulate you for this submission.
Interesting game, but the behavior of action button is plain stupid. I also had no idea how to thaw/break/whatever the ice. I also dropped one item once and couldn't find it again.
I like how you interpreted the theme. I also like the minimalist graphics. The bgm functioned as a good background, the sfx was well made.
But, there are some things that weren't done well. I didn't know why I lost the game. I can only assume it's because I had run out of money. Also, it is kinda weird to see hurricane in Europe.
Okay, let's start with good things: * I liked the graphics. * I liked how diverse the world was. * I kinda liked the story.
But, what's matters more for the improvement is specifying what was done badly. * The animation of walking between two points of interest was awfully long, which was hellish to somebody impatient like me. * The story progression triggers are a bit wonky - I could talk to that blacksmith about glyphs and cave BEFORE being told to search for the glyphs by that giant bird. * The music was kinda annoying to listen to after few loops.
The only thing that I can really say something negative about your game is these chickens. Seriously, they feel like they were made only to frustrate the player.
I like it, but I wish one could play it for longer than 2 minutes.
Amazing game. I don't know what I would change, maybe some mechanism to prevent almost endless orbiting.
Well done game! I was lost on how to get any other orb than the red one, though.
Fun game, great interpretation of the theme. The minimalist graphics are clear and don't poke the user in the eyes. The only problem is BGM, which is boring and repetitive.
You made one really hard puzzle game - but that's not bad! Your idea for a game was something that I'd never expect - not to mention it is done really well. Not to mention seeing "Walfart" made my day.
@frodewin how these controls are different? They are default controls used in Pico-8.
Camera is a major PITA, at the very least on the Linux version. I had to move my mouse by at least a few good meters to rotate camera by 90 degrees. This made me stop playing extremely fast. I like the low-poly graphics, though.
This is one fun variation on minigolf. The black holes had a bit unpredictable gravitational pull though.
This was one hell of a story. I love it, I love the hand-drawn pictures, I love this kind of humor. I only see one technical problem in this game. The elements should have been preloaded instead of loaded on the fly.
Got bored of nuking rhinos after 450 seconds. They somehow never could find one last rabbit to kill it. Lighting felt pretty useless compared to both gun and meteor. It was fun for a while though.
Fun game and great idea for a game. It felt problematic to me that I had more gun parts than I could ever use.
Interesting concept and nice story.
Interesting concept, great audio, but there is one big problem: there is not much game in this game.
Interesting idea! I was once hit by a weird bug(pun unintended), where ants were going past the nest when coming back with food.
Very interesting game! It's not very intuitive at start, but after one fail I understood how to survive.
I usually hate on "art" games. This is not the case here. This is an interesting game, that left me thinking "what the fuck I just witnessed". I'll sure have to think for a little bit to comprehend the plot.
The music is great, the graphics are nice and clear. The only thing I truly disliked in this game were sidescrolling sequences, which felt unnesesary, since there doesn't seem to be any penalty for missing orbs and trees.
I had literally no idea what I was supposed to do. Not to mention the game is a bit glitchy, which is kinda bad for physics based game..
Graphics are good, audio is okay, but this game kind of lacked the gameplay.
Also, :sheep: are better animals. :^)
The artstyle is nice, the reference to "The Little Prince" is great, but the gameplay is in my opinion bland and boring. There also is no sense of challenge or accomplishment in my opinion, nor anything that would cause me to play longer than 3-4 minutes.
This game has got a one big problem. You can basically the whole game by just jumping over the gap before exit. That obvious exploit makes the game completely unfun. Not to mention the lack of dedicated restart button, which would help in mitigating frustration from dying.
It would be a much much better game if you used canvas instead of DOM for this game. Not to mention the elements should have been larger, because rn it is a game for ants.
The idea is good, the controls are good too. I don't personally like dubstep, but it's not something that throws me away from this game. Sound effects were nice. But there is one major problem when it comes to the clarity of the graphics. You simply can't see meteors behind the clouds. This is awful when coupled of the extremely fast speed of the smallest meteors.
The controls were laggy, and the acceleration of player could be a bit faster. The idea is good though, and it is worth continuing work for.
I am left speechless. This game is one of the most unique things I've seen on literally any game jam. I don't even know if there is anything that I can say bad about this, maybe except avoiding the real life changes being quite hard and cheaty.
Quite interesting idea. The player character is a little bit uncontrollable, and there are some pixel perfect jumps. Those two things seriously detract from the fun in my opinion. The glitch effects are amazing thoughs, and I will have to see the cartfile as soon as I get some time.
I had multiple laughs thanks to this game. Died trying to hug a cocaine bear and fighting a mannequin.
Well, as a Tetris player I have to be deadly honest. The controls sucks, and that you can't change them sucks even more. You even have to mash down to soft drop the piece! As for the different polyminoes used, I'd rather see some more lenient generator for the piece sequence, specifically a one that wouldn't spam cross pentominoes. Also, seeing next piece would be nice. The theme is completely unused.
Thankfully, these are solvable problems. If you want to keep working on this game, and I hope you will, I'll give you some tips. First, join the Tetris community and ask for testing. You will get some valuable feedback, even if some of it might be harsh. Second, you should rename the HOLD to FREEZE or something, just because there is already something called hold piece in Tetris. Third, make control settings screen, allow for two rotation buttons, and fix the soft drop so we won't have to mash. Fourth, design a decent randomizer, which is needed to fight unfair level of randomness in this case.
Got bored at 69 points cause I felt there was no challenge. Also, it felt slowish in Firefox, but then it could be the game in general - haven't tested in Chromium. It was a bit interesting though.
Well, I dislike how I was unable to see the whole table, and how I was unable to decide how to prod the table. The first because of how I had to make shots practically blind, the second because of lack of control. Also, the prods felt way too generous.
The victory felt satisfying. The reason? The boss didn't explode. It just warped you to the "victory" screen and that's all. The patterns were designed nicely, though, and I really like the graphics, which are clear and quite good. Controls are good too.
It feels far too easy to land upside down. Sometimes I didn't even know why this had sent me flying. Also, the speedometer is bonkers. And the worst thing about this game... is having just one level. Come on, make a post-jam version, because this surely deserves it!
Quite unique idea. The execution design-wise was relatively good, but far too clickspammy. As for the technical side, the sound effects... well, I had to mute them. Also, the amount of money I currently have is far too easily obstructed by the generators.
Quite nice game. I can't really say much bad except that the yellow powerups should be more visible and bullets sometimes feel undodgeable for no reason.
Welp, I guess I'll have to leave this game ungraded, because it runs at something like 300fps for me. I don't use vsync on my PC, which this game relies on for the FPS limiting.
Quite nice puzzle game. It's not without problems though. The graphics could be more readable, maybe by using more contrasting colors. Currently background slightly blends with foreground. Also, the controls feel wonky. I understand that you wanted to make zombie dancers move every beat, but it slightly confused me at start - I first tried to press arrows to rhythm, then I realized that holding them down is easier. That caused me to slightly drop the Fun rating because of controls.
This game deserves a polished post-jam version though. This idea is too nice to just let it go.
