LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Barrage Restaurant ~ Bountiful Food by Shugor 2015-04-24T06:01:00

A straightforward Touhou clone, which makes it derivatively enjoyable.

The bronze, silver, and gold pickups are a bit hard to distinguish from some enemy bullets; and some white bullets kind of blend with the background.

Mission Imporksable by Komos 2015-04-20T05:45:00

Quite fun, though it took a while to realize that the guards' visibility depends on your field of vision (thought it was a bug when they appear out of nowhere). Particularly because the bacons are always visible regardless of where you are.

Wok Quest! by ogrepixel 2015-04-21T03:21:00

Nice concept, though I finished the game without ever finding out what action Spacebar does, it just says "Miss!" even at signposts and boulders.

Food Fighter 2000 by sP0CkEr2 2015-04-22T04:46:00

Also encountered the "The content was stopped because a fatal content error has been detected." error, was playing the web version.

LD33 — You are the Monster

You! Are the monster by panda 2015-08-30T06:14:00

"The monster is short and The monster is tall"

Uh... sure.

Childhood Monsters by camthestar 2015-08-24T12:04:00

Monster vs children hitbox is a bit too small.

The Trial of Tyrone Rex by Manky 2015-08-28T04:26:00

Spot-on Ace Attorney references. Bookmarked for another run later!

Road To Hell by Hyoga-3D 2015-08-24T11:55:00

Straightforward and fun, but a bit hard to connect it with the theme. ("You destroyed these innocent cars, what a monster you are", and that's it)

Eat Ships and Thrive by frogcheese 2015-08-25T05:34:00

Movement control relative to character-to-mouse direction takes some time to get used to.

The monster by mrcdk 2015-08-26T03:20:00

Funny story, got the bad ending at the first time. Feature-wise, it's a well-done VN engine.

Beware the Kraken by HellBlazer 2015-08-27T03:54:00

Reminds me of the Kraken battle in Shining Force 2.

Internship Adventure by dancingmad 2015-08-27T18:36:00

Brilliant!

Coin Block Clicker by Mykaelos 2015-08-30T08:01:00

That twist.

Blob by RougeRogue 2015-08-27T18:16:00

Interesting mechanics, will be great with some proper level design.

Ameba Warfare by kingpirux 2015-08-24T14:19:00

I don't quite get it.

So, you need to put monsters on the field, then capture them again to use them to create bigger monsters, which will kill your smaller monsters, so you should quickly capture your smaller monsters for you to be able to create more big monsters?

Monstrosity by Megalink 2015-08-25T07:17:00

Wave 3 is unreadable, and the screeching sound is painful.

Dis-o-rder by squirrelbot 2015-08-27T13:20:00

Good voice acting, and interesting story as well.

One missing feature is "press E while a dialog is animating to skip the animation".

Look Into The Mirror by yuigoto 2015-08-28T11:19:00

I completed the game.

Generally fun, hitboxes are a tad too large, and curse that one level which has both "move NOW or else you die" and a leap of faith together.

You are the Hero by rotpar 2015-08-25T09:08:00

Good gameplay.

One thing though, when you leave room X through the right, you'd expect to enter room X+1 from the left, not right. (The first 2 screens are fine, then suddenly it's flipped.)

Ankabot by Cloudeyes 2015-08-28T15:10:00

Good game, reminds me of Fishy.

-. Needs some visual feedback for the "attack". It took some time for me to be convinced that it actually works.
-. I don't see any situation where I would want to zoom in, or lock the mouse.

Trouble in Werewolf Town by Dibasis 2015-08-25T13:55:00

Some feedbacks:
-. Slow speed + big map + infrequent spawn = lots of walking with no action.
-. Shirt is missing from human-down-leg up frames.
-. Werewolf-right sprite is slightly off, with respect to human-right sprite (try holding Right and press X repeatedly)
-. Weird collision hitbox.
-. Layering. (NPCs are always above player, even if player has larger Y)

Smash the Peasants by Coac 2015-08-25T16:08:00

I played this game longer than I should, not sure why. Maybe because it feels like a shmup.

A few things:
-. Diagonal attacks pls.
-. Poison is supposed to be the emergency "everyone dies" attack, but a bit hard to pull off because its range is even smaller than a normal attack, and it's delayed.

Score: 40250.

Sales of a Deathman by superfluous 2015-08-29T10:36:00

Very funny, loved it.

Invading Space by Paivictor 2015-08-24T15:49:00

Feels like shooting needs to be anything but mouse click.
-. It's hard to click on the invaders while dodging frantically.
-. Moving your right hand (to/from) (Enter key/the mouse) everytime you die is a bit troublesome.

Sunset Monster by dregamr 2015-08-26T11:41:00

Good shmup, bullet patterns are straightforward.

Most of this game's issue comes from the laser.
-. It has no cue
-. It obstructs bullets.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Hyperspace by dekart 2015-12-14T04:22:00

I kind of love how confusing this game is (not sarcasm).

"A small hostile! Open your shield! A larger hostile! Ope-wait-close your-" *BOOM*

The Growing Sword - Baknik - Ludum Dare 34 by Baknik 2015-12-15T04:36:00

I wish I can move while the sword-swinging animation is still running. Currently it feels a bit clunky.

bullet hell web game thingy (but really, it's a pretty ok game) by peyj 2015-12-15T08:22:00

It's simple, minimalistic, pure fun. If anything, the distance is too short to really read and dodge the scatter shots.

You survived 60.98s.

V BALL by longloaf 2015-12-14T15:30:00

Fun.

Up to level 3, you can roll your way up the walls.
Level 4 is the level where you either quit, or find out about the undocumented control.

Twotris by forer 2015-12-16T11:17:00

It's a good job for your first game!

Knight vs. Mage by Thembi 2015-12-16T04:27:00

An interesting take on a rhythm game. The blank actions adds some depth to the game. UI-wise, the left part of the bar doesn't see much action.

Good game!

Brain Splitter by Janacek 2015-12-16T11:26:00

It's fun and challenging, loved it! The music though, the early part is almost literally brain-splitting. Score: 12750

The Super Bros (that are not Brothers!) by Xinelu 2015-12-15T02:03:00

The control scheme is Action 52-esque awkward.

So, you want to do a running jump? Oops, you can't!

A Bullet Hell Style Shooter Where One Button Controls Both Shooting and Moving, While Another Button Gives You Slightly Sarcastic Motivation. by Fanttum 2015-12-14T04:59:00

Love the water skidding effect.

Mr. Dungeon Aase by Jordan 2015-12-14T03:46:00

I couldn't quit the game.

And control is awkward, because the bottom side is a bit limited.

I only used left mouse button so far, haven't reached a part where I need to press a second button.

And that's a very short-ranged fireball.

Tri-Fission by Reisen 2015-12-14T05:00:00

@Fanttum: Good news! I've just added a Mac build. :)

Avoid and Un-Avoid by Andrew 2015-12-14T03:34:00

-. I keep missing stuff when on Eat Mode, eating hitbox should be larger than avoid hitbox.
-. The yellow and orange emitters are somewhat annoying, why are they on my orbit?

Good game overall.

Millenium Fist by AzureAspect 2015-12-16T13:50:00

ORAORAORAORAORA

Score: 15768.42 / Combo: 103 / HPS: 12.875 (Same combo and HPS as someone else here, not sure why score is different)

Though fun, there's not much of a game here. Maybe provide a losing cutscene if score is less than a treshold value?

Two Buttons Left by jerry111zhang 2015-12-14T07:44:00

Well-written narrative. The ending is a bit anticlimactic though.

Line/Dash by Eingya 2015-12-15T04:26:00

Very addictive. And it looks really neat when you start having a lot of those lines on-screen.

Downfall in Polarity by danielsann7 2015-12-14T16:46:00

Control doesn't work as advertised.
LMB : Hold to move and set polarity to blue
RMB : Hold to set polarity to red

Which simplifies this game to "Hold LMB and dodge red stuff".

Battle For Bedroom by monetai 2015-12-16T04:20:00

Cool concept, I like how the music shifts depending on the game state. If only there's an AI to play with...

SPACE DILEMMA by argowen 2015-12-16T02:53:00

A bit too hard; You cannot easily circle and shoot enemies, and you move so fast that there's no time to react to stuff.

EAT ! by Ornicar 2015-12-15T01:59:00

The molds are quite hard to spot.

Farm by brandloose 2015-12-15T03:54:00

The game pooped up a lot. XD

Didn't go deep enough, but I like the art style.

Micro Danmaku by makiki99 2015-12-15T08:42:00

Fun patterns. #2 is interesting, because this pattern is one that typically needs a vertical movement. 30575.

Zircon by _HopFrog 2015-12-16T08:41:00

Very polished, and good puzzle design. Control is slow at corners, and gets buggy sometimes (one spot to reproduce: at the island right before you get the red diamond, approach the solid block from the left side).

Tennis for One by NotNewAnymore 2015-12-15T02:06:00

The initial speed feels really slow.

Commit Crime by mqholm 2015-12-15T08:30:00

First stage is ok, but first boss is just tedious. Didn't go further than that.

And not sure how to connect this with the theme.

Feed Me by snowshovelboy 2015-12-14T04:04:00

Good game!

But really soon, it turns into a "just hold A+D, and watch the amusing bug traffic jam" game.

LD35 — Shapeshift

MODE_SHIFT by RyanNielson 2016-04-28T02:53:00

A really fun shmup. Music is awesome.

Energy system feels like a slippery slope, as in if you can't get to level 3 before a certain point, you're out. Once you get it rolling though, that's where the fun begins.

Energy pickups doesn't move left when they appears, so it feels like the game is punishing the player for being good. (In-universe, they are static objects, and the player is moving to the right, so... yeah.)

86.62 seconds.

Getting shifty by Ithildin 2016-04-18T05:38:00

Good game, but the shapeshifting aspect is somewhat negligible. Just pick a shape (purple, because purple bullets are harder to see), shoot others, absorb bullets, blaster, repeat.

SHOOTING GAME THING by BPO_Jeff 2016-04-19T15:20:00

The artwork is really neat, and the audio fits the game well.

During my run, I never needed to transform to mech form at all. Staying at Jet form means you don't need to worry about the time at all, and you can survive the patterns with basic bullet hell skillz.

Was at 5000M and 400~ sec remaining, then quitted.

ShifTris by hippy dave 2016-04-18T13:46:00

A bit buggy, blocks can go through other blocks (and the game boundaries) while shifting.

Pasowix's Magical Shapeshifting Workshop by glaze_96 2016-04-18T13:37:00

Clever puzzles, loved the jokes!

Though, I couldn't figure out what some of the items are beforehand, only after I trial-and-errored through them.

OFFLOAD by Anupam Coleman 2016-04-18T10:30:00

I wish it has an AI.

And cooldown. If you can't return to short form within x seconds after going to long form, that would add some strategic component. Right now you can go long just before hitting the ball then immediately go short, so it's as if you're playing with long form all the time.

Who Let The Chicks Out? by jdmazz 2016-04-20T14:18:00

A decent platformer for your first entry, good job overall!

Except for level 3. I spent like tens of tries cursing for that one platform to come down.

Fylgjur by Aaranos 2016-05-05T02:31:00

Animation is cool, but maybe a bit too slow. And as many has mentioned, you shouldn't be able to cancel the attack animations. Though, cancelling allows for some interesting strategies. (Use axe, spam click, and you'll never have to worry about birds ever. Release for skeletons.)

Shape Shifter by Reisen 2016-04-18T16:46:00

@glaze_96
I... did not. Well, maybe not here, but take a closer look at the in-game title screen! :D

The Materialistic Shift by XAND 2016-04-18T03:49:00

Good work on the puzzle design, really enjoyed it.

Mr.Slime by Tutti Ankka 2016-04-18T13:56:00

Short, but fun.

Most of the difficulty comes from the arc projectiles, which are a bit erratic at times.

Heart of the Forest by hregrin 2016-04-20T04:06:00

Good job on your first game! Graphics are nice, though the gameplay could use a bit more improvement.

It is hard to control, because the movement feels inertial. Shmups ideally should have no inertia.

Eagle form is too short and feels like an afterthought to the game. In contrast, wolf form is actually useful, because I couldn't dodge bullets properly with that control.

ShiftZGen by ChronoCrab 2016-04-18T06:03:00

Decent gameplay, but the game somehow looks off. Form 1's bullets are spawned only on the left side, and random enemy generation doesn't reach to the right side. It's as if they are... shifted.

Cactus Corner by Millefey 2016-04-19T11:31:00

A good job for your first coding project!

Shifty Shapes of Grey by goibon 2016-04-19T10:53:00

I couldn't run it on OS X / Safari:

An error occured running the Unity content on this page. See your browser's JavaScript console for more info. The error was:
NotFoundError: DOM IDBDatabase Exception 8: An operation failed because the requested database object could not be found.

2045 Henkei no Densetsu by Rock Eaters 2016-04-19T02:21:00

The area you start off has the worst experience, because you can't even see your own projectiles, and there's no way to know that your projectiles are short-ranged.

It gets better as it gets greener.

Shining Eye by Wisedawn 2016-04-19T01:59:00

Control scheme doesn't really work that well, I think. Base form's bullets are angled and hard to aim. Shifted form's bullet is straight, but the transformation itself is inertial and also hard to aim.

And the "where do I go now" map screen.
