Took me a few broken robots found it easier with keyboard was quite fun
The steering made me think of the warthogs in halo :)
all made sense in fullscreen well all made sense maybe not but flicky things on and zippy sounds, too bad I let the plants die. Would let plants die again I say would think it would be inevitable that they'd die on me :( and now I feel sad
I now have a complex with falling objects popping my balloons.
At first I wasn't sure if I was going through a help screen then it all fell into place I loved the little platforms the ant didn't
Quite enjoyable some reason it made me think of triple town not sure why when I think about it.
I am looking to make an updated version; I will be adding a few extra features stemming the difficulty "slightly" and only slightly don't want to make it too easy. as for the wrapping of the background this was akin to the old asteroids game how ever my latest idea is to have the player warp to the opposite side and instead of just getting destroyed I'd have the player ship telefrag objects within a certain range obviously all nicely animated etc.
404 from dropbox
regardless of whether I wanted to go to war I went to war and died. Would die again.
little confusing at first as I didn't read the instructions, still one easy mode without it. Anyway read instruction which was funny. Overall I found the concept and play quite fun.
My only thought was I got the impression I'd be able to move up the road however I can see that being an issue with only two button. Overall was fun like robot-wars but against people LOL
That turret is fast just about got through first level lol
Little bit of polish, smooth out the animation add some audio and I think you've got you self a nice little game,
learning curve is pretty good until think it was the 5th level with all the scrolling blocks. Still really awesome I loved the vertical moving with the the changing width to hold the position. Like a wierd love child of tetris and ninja warrior.
Mouse killed by everything, then randomly mouse managed to kill the snake and subsequently killed by a duck. It's like Dark Souls of nature.
Thanks for the kind words guys, its wierd because even after this time has passed since LD35 I've actually become to like the idea of the game I made and I'm already dabbling in some major changes to how the blocks work and extra "mutations" that the blocks can have for example a triangle that jumps higher than square but moves slower. I'm also looking at either rewriting in unity or unreal as I', liking the idea of the crisper sharper vectors than rasters. As for the music I tried to have a dabble for ambience etc but I couldn't sit with a specific style maybe I'll have to dabble a bit more and just play stuff while I test the game and see what fits the best. SFX for sprites etc will be in that version my microphones were playing up so couldn't get clear recordings. Those that saw my LD34 entry may remember that I voiced the spacecraft guns and engines myself and I was looking to do the same with this one.
Little slow, could do with moving a touch faster I like the idea that you can only change shape if you get the pickup. I think it a game for 2 hands on the keyboards though rather than M&K, still I enjoyed it.
Awesome, smoothen the slide between lane and have some cool tunes in the background and I think you'll be on to a winner this was really fun.
Got past the guy on the second level but couldn't progress
Loved it, and on second level and unlocked the super secret wherein if you select a block but don't click to place it the collision is recognised so you can magic carpet up which I thought was awesome, probably not intended and I'm not regarding it as a bug just a super secret easter egg :)
Superb, has a very nice stygian abyss feel to it.
Pre-playing post: I just saw your main page post "UGH THIS THEME" as soon as I saw that third day image I burst into laughter and knew I had to have a play.
Really enjoyed, was so close to just killing the princess instead but alas I opted to save her lol. Would appreciate a review of mine also. I just need 2 more to get over the 20 threshold: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/snakes-and-ladders-a-texted-based-adventure-game
Ironically a winning combo, I definitely had fun then ran out of cards and started to panic which I found even more funny when I drove into the back of a purple car.
Long time since i been here but am in.
Thanks guys for the feedback; I really wasn't too sure about this one and as I stated I really started to not like it while I was finishing up I guess more so than my last LD entry I'd guess due in part to the theme being a tough one this time around. I know for a fact that the code in this is really bad too as I was trying to rush to get it working and complete before the submission time for jam. I might actually go back and re-write the entire thing a lot more cleanly and add a few extra random features, I did like the idea of adding some sound into it potentially voice work for the room descriptions and/or dice roll sounds for well you guessed it the dice rolling. I like the idea of making it a bit more Dungeon's and Dragons-esque also but I guess we'll see what happens as so far of all the entries that I have submitted over the past few years I've not actually gone back to a single one of them LOL.
