Ohhhh, I can't get past second aiming. Spent so much time on this game, this one is my favorite so far. 5 stars all around.

Ohhhh, I can't get past second aiming. Spent so much time on this game, this one is my favorite so far. 5 stars all around.
This hit the theme right on, easy 5's for innovation and theme. That said it wasn't a bad game and I did have fun playing it, but it was peculiar watching food discoveries, trying to remember what was good and bad, and executing it. Not a bad entry.
Oh no! Only windows?? Any plans to port to mac or web?
All right we did this! Was a really cool concept, music got a little repetitive, but it's forgivable cause it was fun.
Hahahahahahahaha, that just happened. Sorry you lost your work, this was magnificent given your time frame!
Eventually got the hang of it, doorways still hung me up a bit, as the enemies move fast, and the aim through them is precise. Overall real nice game, impressed it was for compo!
The game was pretty straightforward. Don't know if the lack of movement animations was intentional, but it wasn't necessarily bad.
My biggest suggestion would be use of shadows for projectiles as well and tiling to give the player perspective of where they vs. incoming attacks stand.
Controls are tricky, but popcorn vaulting makes me want to keep trying!
This is one of the most beautiful fun games I've played for ld. It's hard to believe this was made for compo. For me, this defines what I'd aim for.
Never given out so many 5 stars on 1 game before... loved this! Hilarious, innovative, addictive! Nice!
I don't know how well this demonstrated a weapon, music would've made this a lot more enjoyable. That said, it was really satisfying to type. When I screwed up I felt much regret. Not bad.
I'm not sure what happened, I was doing alright until I was completely surround with .5 seconds to reaction. Maybe set the player to invulnerable for a second after hit, and leave less health around?
I enjoyed this game, I really did. It was simple, but still satisfying. I would love to see some animations to indicate I killed a demon, plus a mute button, but nice game.
I loved the innovation, very clever game.
Hard for me to manuver, maybe just got to get used to it. I laughed, I cried, I threw food, it was good.
Controls are a little less smooth than I'd like, but I've never been more pissed at a pixel animal before! Good start.
Didn't experience lag, experienced the ease of getting to work and back. I got hit a few times, but it wasn't a big deal once I figured out the timing of hitting people with sand and never stop moving. Best feature of this was the music, 5 star for that.
Wow, that was hard to get used to, but it was so unique that I loved it. Good game!
Graphics were simple, but sharp and polished, can't dock points there. Once I figured out how to get going had a very smooth feel to it.
Thank you Jamey for making a game simple enough that I feel I should be better at it. And thank you jackrugile for announcing 86 seconds... only 40 more seconds to go...
Easy 5 for audio. Easy. Difficulty could use tweaking, but the kids really kept me there.
I was able to play, it was a little slow though, a ff button would be nice :)
I really enjoyed the sound effects... for 10 seconds. Fun running around, sick of being yelled at.
It's alright. Short and simple. But ok.
I felt like a twinkie Zoro sliding with a needle.
The gun mostly worked, but I'm not certain 100% what I was supposed to be doing
Is that Locke?
I really enjoy the concept, definitely a nice corner stone. Some small tweaks would be copy and paste enemy names, hitting enter to tweet. It's clever.
I'm not sure if I played this right. I couldn't shoot the enemies, and I wasn't sure how far I could run before they would resume movement. I'd like to give it another try after an update, interesting idea.
Clever, I liked it!
Just like the others, I couldn't figure out the first heist.. maybe adding some clues?
Same complaints, got stuck on invisible nothings, and the screen scrolled a little too fast, had to slow down to keep from throwing myself into spikes. Nice job otherwise.
Oh! This was a nice entry! While the concept was pretty simple, every other aspect of gaming supported it well, enhancing the idea and making this very playable. Nice!
I read it was hard, but beat if first try, got lucky I guess. I enjoyed it, was fun to play through, not sure how well it fit to the theme.
I like the concept, found it to be a bit hard to control until it froze :(
I got stuck on level 2... oops. I liked the idea a lot, if you could scale the difficulty to be a little gentler, I would've played this game much longer, overall, nice start!
Stuck on a black screen... but the intro was better than anything I've made so far.
I didn't know what to think so I did the tank first and made myself sad. Never again.
Windows awwwww... I really wanted to play this
tentabrobpy, I'm on OSX
You gotta rewrite the instructions, I have no idea what I'm doing. I've clicked everything I can see and no serious results, so then I started hammering on the keyboard.. nothing again.
Nice entry, definitely unconventional
I'm sorry but this hurts my eyes to play.
I don't hate against people that say lol, it's just simply not something I say, mainly because usually when I would want to, I'm not actually laughing out loud.
This game made me lol so hard my wife asked what the eff was wrong with me.
It was a little laggy on my computer, so hard to play, but play I did and win I have. Nice game.
This game sums up how most of my relationships went. It was very clever after you READ THE DESCRIPTION haha
Very nice game. I enjoy puzzle games like this, very rewarding and gentle at first, to a slow progression of mega frustration and determination. The difficulty scaled very nicely, my regards to the level designer.
Really clean looking, really hard to find bugs! Thought the game was a cruel joke, but I finally got him! Edit difficulty, maybe hit 3/7 or something
Wow. I can't believe I sat there watching a countdown timer as long as I did. That's meant to be a compliment, you drew me right in, nice!
I couldn't get past name entry... I really wanted to play this
I was getting points, but was I killing the rocks or were they going underground. I ran out of goo and didn't get any more, would've liked to have kept going to see how hard it got and how well I could've done. Good foundation.
Very peculiar, not bad, but strange. I hung from the ceiling by my forehead.
Same, the web version doesn't right click throw for me, sorry.
It felt as though I had a split second moment to decide how to avoid meteors form that spawned from the top. If I waited any longer, I was going to die if I was in the meteor's path.
Cute game, found I could jump/stab numbers to death, was happy.
Not a bad game at all, would love to mute that music, but I just kept thinking about portals and stuck through it.
Oh snap this was fantastic! The controls were hard to figure out at first, but once I did it got real fun, nice mix of action and management game play. Don't know if I've run into that combo before, well done!
Like everyone else said, wish I could play it.
I just fought a whale. It does seem like it had ambition, think you guys should keep at it and try to make it into a full feature.
First off, thank you very much for animating bouncing grandma boobs. I only hope that 1 night's sleep will be enough to forget that.
Excellent game, fun and satisfying. Music wasn't a bad but repetitive. Had fun playing, and felt I earned the win, and could continue earning it a few more difficulty levels up.
This was just a beautiful piece of gaming. Can't say anything that hasn't already been said over and over. Good work guys.
Overall not a bad piece of work, and not bad for the event. This is nit picky, but I felt I should've been able to continue to charge the blue bar when I picked up bubbles while inflated. Overall fun.
This was one of the best LD games I've played. Some music would've made it perfect, great job.
Was very excited to see, would love to see it finished.
I hate to admit that I probably laughed harder than I should've for the victory screen.
All in all, the music worked well, if the game was any longer it would've been too repetitive, but it wasn't so it worked.
The graphics were consistent for the game, sound effects were nice, and approach was well executed. What stands out the most is the flow of user input and visuals responding. Excellent entry.
Solid game. Good work.
It feels unfair to rate this when comparing it to other games that had an unconventional weapon. That said, I did play it, and had a fun time with it. Good game, just didn't follow the theme...
I have touched the poobis. Hahahaha, hilarious, happy to have played. 5 stars for theme, what is more unconventional than a pooby?
As a foundation, this game looks amazing. Would love to see some variety in enemies, attacking, special abilities, cause otherwise what's the point of using a brother sword instead of a regular one?
For Ludam Dare, the game is extremely short and no real chance to lose, but like I said, I'd be very excited to see this game as a full lengthed feature.
Music fit the graphics nicely, was oddly fun to shoot rainbows at tanks to watch them explode.
This was really hard! I found that evasion until the ants became a single unified mass was my best strategy. Had fun with this game, nice!
Very clever, got stuck for too long with the police officers and cat. I like the concept, nice submission.
I got stuck on level 5 but had a blast up until then. Interesting physics, not sure I've seen something like this before. Definitely innovative, sweet game.
The good: it was essentially fun, even though it was challenging, was doable with enough patience.
The bad: because it took so many retries, the music and footstep sound effect got extremely repetitive, I ended up muting it.
The terrifying: That she beast will haunt my dreams.
Can't rate this game. I had some kind of mouse glitch that turned my cursor into a large texture mapish kind of thing, and had not a clue what was going on. Like the idea, wish I could have played
Would love to try it, hard to find 4 people to play
Uhhh... I liked it?
It's a good game, pretty solid for everything. I think it might've been too green for me? I don't know. Solid enough to keep me busy for a while.
Damn you mac...
This was fun to play, an improvement to the flute would be nice, but overall nice experience.
Would be nice to auto reload scene
It was a good game, I had a lot of fun playing it, so my suggestion is not to make it seem like there's anything wrong with this game, rather than if you wanted to keep me glued to the computer all night you very well could have if:
Scale the difficulty to keep getting increasingly more challenging, and have the guns continue to upgrade to a constantly more powerful version.
Loved this game.
Finally figured out what this game reminds me of, Syndicate from the 90's. This game is the embodiment of the persaudatron, easily the most fun inducing gadget from Syndicate. A whole based around it would be a blast, got a good start here, keep it up!
This took a while to get the hang of, even when I did, I found recovering bullets hard to do... but I spent a while playing, so you got me hooked. Nice game
Ohhh... I want to be better at this game! I think the concept is spot on, and I can see it going further and becoming a more in depth game... Perhaps a control scheme change would help? Maybe I just suck at mouse, but I can't switch between planets quick enough, so I ended up just using the closest one to the sun and going nuts
That was...
SPECTACULARLY SATISFYING! I don't know which aspect of the game it was that set it over the top, but I truly enjoyed playing this game.
For all of the games made for this event, there were many that were challenging, or vividly creative, difficult, easy, boring... I haven't laughed as hard on any of them, as I have for this one. While it may not be a "game", it was completely immersive, and enjoyable. If someone can make a "game" like this, imagine what they can do when they try.
Played through really quickly, could elongate the game a little bit to really experience what you made. It was fun, and I felt good about winning, but also felt like I couldn't lose. Good start.
Not a good game if you have OCD, otherwise... polishing floors as a weapon? I don't think there's anything more unconventional as this. Spectacular game!
Fantastic! A lot of fun to play, could keep going all day!
I wish this reflected how I really felt, I felt 0% shame. Oh God, I think I could cry with laughter
Wow, I don't know if it's just me, but this felt "nintendo hard" haha. Loved the idea, enjoyed the artwork, would've liked a HUD, otherwise though, really enjoyed the game!
I broke the game immediately by flying to high haha. The sound was very nice, I enjoyed hearing what each one of the animals were going to say next. Could be expanded to a much bigger idea, but not bad for ludam dare weekend!
I am like the cockroach, nukes only make me stronger.
Controls were perfect for the game, I don't know if I'm a natural or if difficulty is a little low, I only died twice. Solid entry!
Wow... I'm having a hard time describing this game, but it was great. A peculiar psychedelic bullet hell, but still very fluid. Interesting game mechanics, buy out of the ordinary fun.
Wow, that was a great game, it was tough for me, but the gamestyle reminded me of something like diner dash, but since it's monsters, boys can play it in the open :D I liked this game and the graphics were great! Think of this next time you see a hole in the ground.
Bonus points to innovation for being an armored tree... wtf! :D
Even with the definition you gave, not certain if I agree on the take of "monster" or not, but not a bad play.
I found myself getting good at swaying from left to right without losing altitude, able to knock out full lines of birds, not bad.
Graphics were tight, I like the use of the multiple layers. Colors and art were nice, keep it up!
It's quick and thought provoking, I always liked these puzzles in school, good job!
Nice mechanics and gameplay.
This was a nice game! If you had more time to work on it, I think it would it could be real tight, but I had fun with this ludam dare version! I did run into the "king" really early a few times... :(
Ha! Nice take on the theme! I felt like I was discovering typing for the first time when I played, trying desperately to figure out how I typed a name that I didn't really type! Cute interpretation!
I can't believe this was made in just 3 days. I'm a little sick of rock paper scissors, but I get it. Game was great, love warioware mini's, fantastic.
Ohhh, the first game I really liked! Music was spot on, mood was solid, unfortunately I have no friends to play with so I had to beat myself up. Gameplay felt a little slow in response time, wouldn't mind seeing different monsters use different abilities? Think you could expand this and make a real game out of it.
Hey, loved the game. I feel like anything I could say is regurgitation of previous praise but...: the game felt very polished, fun for any age, and had a unique atmosphere. Would have to hear it to say confidently that I'd love to see voice acting for language learned! Solid game!
I'm not going to lie, that felt really really good.
The screen shots look sweet, but I'm on parallels and wasn't able to load it, got runtime error :(
That was REALLY hard, but it seemed so simple I had to finish! I think I did it in under 10 tries, simply put, I loved it!
I see what you mean about balance. The core mechanics are at a very good starting place, but the balance was off, something I struggle with too :(
Was cool to see something aside from the norm! Nice way to keep it original, would've liked to have seen more options, but limited time, sweet!
Lots of story alternatives, I liked how it repeated on itself... I liked the style of graphics and flow, story was good (the ones I found at least). Nice entry.
Not bad at all! Only complaint I have is that sometimes the equations were hard to read when they overlapped each other, but you were right on, I felt dumb while playing, good challenge :D
To be honest, I had a real hard time understanding the dialog and I felt cheated by that because I was captivated by the game. The style was amazing, the interaction was fantastic, all around, I truly enjoyed the mechanics of this!
+1 for volume muting.
I don't think this was really the mark. The theme seemed hard to go figurative with, but there was only 1 paragraph that exclaimed you to be the "monster".
That being said I had a lot of fun playing this! Am I supposed to explode when flying into bullets/rockets/additional time? I don't think the controls were too hard, I enjoyed this :)
I don't know if I was supposed to laugh as hard as I did for the pill popping sound effect but I did! The mouse control needs a little tweaking, I had to roll it off the game to move far enough and then it moved back to my starting position when rolled back onto the game..
I couldn't find a game on the link
I assume I'm only halfway done with the game, but I had to start my comment now, I'm in true suspense, the purpose of a game is immersion and I'm completely captivated...
Noooo... I have to wait??? Great game, spectacular work.
I liked the fact you could customize the settings in the beginning, would've loved if there was a scoring system, maybe something that integrated with the settings I've selected?
I went into this not expecting much, but I was very surprised very quickly and was forced into several replays, nice work, great jokes :)
Excellent work, especially for compo! I loved your take on this theme, I laughed even at the initial screen shots! Spot on, good job!
Wow, I could play this all night
Fantastic work, I went into expecting a lot, and my expectations were exceeded, great job!
Great programming, that's what I have to say. I was a little disappointed when it was black and white, guess what, boom. Rage = color. Game play was smooth, I didn't run into any bugs, nice submission!
That brought back good memories, I liked how concise it was to Oregon Trail and yet it's own game, keep at it!
It wasn't bad but it felt a little lacking. Seemed like a basic idea that could have more added to it to make it real fun... Are all my specials always ineffective?
10.3 is the most my brain can pull off haha. It's a good game, and strangely enough, I feel the sound effects would be annoying in any other game, but somehow seem to work well here. Nice game!
I was starting to think I wasn't going to be able to beat it! I liked the game, would've enjoyed to see more of it, too short!
Any plans of putting on the web or OSX?
I'm standing on your head, are you scared yet? Haha, good concept, long hallways, controls were a little touchy at times, trying to walk through "tight" doorways got me stuck. Like the idea.
This game had a real nice feel to it. The effects of possessing a human felt really nice, the upgrade system is tight, would've liked to have seen more effect from upgrades, as well as get them faster, but that only means I was immersed into the game! Nice!
Solid game, 3D snakes, the controls weren't hard, and the game play was the right amount of difficult!
I loved the graphics, really solid. I see a lot of people putting stuff out in unity only to have it be sub par to average, this was tight. I would've liked possession to be a little more long range, but that's me being fickle, solid game.
If you have a mechanic to track who oppressed the most people, I'm sure I'm the biggest monster. Point made, I'll sell out anyone for infinite free money.
Wasn't able to open on OSX :(
I had no idea it felt this good to be a raid boss, also, how annoying healers are from the enemy's perspective.
Would like the controls to be a little more smooth, if you do that, add some different abilities, and a couple of features, I think you'd have a REAL tight game for serious submission.
BTW, I'm boots ranked #2 :D
Concept is perfect, don't know if its just me, but I couldn't get the timing down, but I loved the idea of it!
I wasn't able to play this on OSX, and while I've played other games on parallels, this one only showed a blank screen for me :( It's too bad, this looks like one of the prettier games in Ludam Dare this time around.
Whoop whoop, no saving necessary here. I really enjoyed the story line, I don't know the exact moment you ran out of time, but I can tell it was rushed. If you were able to make a longer feature, I'd be interested to play through.
Not a bad start at all! It was really hard for me, there seemed to be more humans taking pictures of a homicidal monster than I had energy to attack, but I liked the concept, the stealth, and the overall feel of it!
I think I saw where you were going with this, and don't give up, you have a good start with design!
I had a lot of the same issues as everyone else, but I completely agree, this game has some real potential if you clean it up and polish it off, I think you'll have a top rated game! Awesome take on the theme!
This was a great start, would've loved to have seen a more complex game, can't wait to see what you do next time if this is only a week into unreal, fantastic!
It was a good concept, liked the animations and LOVED the voice acting.. voice acting alone bumped up my humor vote :D
Oh, the limit on attacks made that hard, but it was fun though! I think the size of said monster to enemies/heroes was perfect, something about it made me feel really good about attacking!
Simple and to the point. Hey, it's already much better than the first game I brought to completion, congratulations! It's a great start, think you'll go much further before you plateau!
You Paul are a genius. There's no way there will be any funnier games, and you compelled me to play a genre I hate. Good job, 5's all around.
I feel like if it were zoomed in a bit more it would be fantastic, I like the idea, I'd say not to scrap it just yet!
Wow, perfect entry. I love the take on being "the monster", perfect difficulty, really enjoyed playing this, spot on.
Why would you make that? It was sad and it made me swear a lot! Haha, I was determined to finish it and it was tough but doable. Not sure how it fits the theme though?
Nice game play, I was sold on the description! Love you can drown a kid too and there's a different graphic for it! Stupid kids.
It's a sin that the food doesn't last longer cause I could play that much longer than my skill allows. Love the throwback to Ski Free from the other side, hilarious!
You know, graphically I went into this not expecting much, but the concept was solid, the gameplay was fine, and this was hands down the funniest ludam dare game I've played yet, nice work.
You know, I'm impressed this was done in 5 hours... if you want to get into comparisons, not sure I could've done better in that time frame. The game made me feel isolated and alone, and I can't really tell you why.
Awesome music! I was thinking it over in my head for the theme category "you are the monster... you are the monster... TRUCK!" I'm late to the party, nicely played! I would've liked bumpers on the edge of the screen cause I suck, but otherwise, nice game!
I'm on the mac, wasn't able to load :(
I liked the idea a lot, just wish you hadn't taken the time to sleep and could put more into it, I was doing pretty well until I got stuck in a treasure chest :(
Maybe the funniest thing I've played yet, very fun game :D
Ha! I did so bad until I realized there was a double jump, good call on always having a double jump. Liked the required jumping, wasn't going to rate well on humor until the 3rd level... nice game :)
I've found a couple of these retro games with role reversal, can't get enough of them. I didn't know what was going on at first, but as soon as I did it was "ohhhhhh yeaaaaah".
Spot on! Meteor explosion power up, spectacular! I think you nailed the animation for people walking, very simple, but very smooth and attractive!
I committed to make it to 20, but I just couldn't do it, 13 max for me before my brain starts to hurt! Quick, simple, beautiful. Perfect entry.
Agree, this game is hella hard with no chance to improve, too quickly the barrels far. Graphics are solid though and the flow felt great, keep it up!
The graphics were tight, I enjoyed building my own monster, very pretty!
This could easily be made into a full length game, was captivated by the taste of story written in, nice feel, nice game!
I'm sorry, I wanted to play because you played mine, but it kept crashing for me :( Playing on a mac with parallels
It was pretty cool, would've made a sweet puzzle game I think.
Hahaha, fantastic ending, esp little Billy, just a poor boy and nobody loved him ;) Graphics were nice, difficulty scaled appropriately, sound was slightly repetitive, but no real concerns. All around solid entry!
Unable to load for OSX
Music was great, while I'm sure you would've done a lot more if you had the time, I actually really enjoyed the controls. There's plenty of games that have easy keep away game play, the rotation of 90 degrees at a time kept me thinking of how I was going to lure and get away, not bad!
I tried playing this when the wife was going to bed.. after animal noises for a while she yelled out "what the hell".. maybe she would've handled it better if it had a little bit more variation?
I wasn't able to play the game, so I watched your playthrough instead, and really wished I could've played. I liked the story, and the take on the theme, and would've liked to have delved further into it.
Solid 5's all around. I feel the horror genre is hard to pull off and too many people take a slasher approach. Blood and guts are good for shock, but not actual fear. I felt it in this quick and simply animated game. Fantastic.
I want to play but I can't, I'm running parallels and encountering a dejuvu.ttf failure :(
This was a REALLY neat idea! There was a lot of "typical" entries for this theme, but I think this take on it really stands out!
That was pretty challenging playing alone! I like the concept, I like the theme, excellent entry for a first time game maker!
I've heard that since clowns are a popular fear, people like to say they're afraid of them even if they're not, just to be a part of the group. This game creates an actual fear and might induce trauma on a mass scale. Graphics were solid and I was overall impressed!
The controls are a little wonky, but love the concept! The people were spectacularly done, get the lasers/shots as pretty and keep going!
Ok, I really really enjoyed this game. I found that picking up a burning caravan also means holding onto a caravan until you pick up a non-burning one. The controls were smooth, which is a must if you're going to play as a dragon.
Sound was tight, graphics were tight. Why is a wolf attacking duckies? Cause you are the monster. Perfect.
WTF!
Wow, That was Fantastic!
The game was amazing, pretty, fun. The stats got a little broken near the end, but overall a great game!
Overall very nice entry. The music felt aquatic, which for someone without music ability is impressive to pull off. I enjoyed the style, flow, control, graphics, a lot of things were right.
Very cute game, was a little confused at first, and thought the controls would be wonky but ended up working ok! Not bad for your first Ludam Dare!
I really am the monster. I started the game, yelled obscenities at my computer directed at grumble, only to be acurately defined at the end, nice work!
The game itself was a little weighted, I never felt fear of losing, and the last stage was the easiest since I had time to target the enemies since the level was vast. This game's strength was it's story, sweet!
My computer isn't strong enough to run, but damn I wish it were, I tried hard to fight through the lag, but could only get 2 kills with dumb stupid luck.
Was pretty basic, but got save, loved the artwork of the monster. Keep at it, and don't cheat yourself out of good graphics, you def got it in you!
I really liked the comic book approach, that said if the controls were a little more fluid, I think this would be steallar! Nice entry!
Oh my God the graphics were beautiful, it's a real shame it wasn't finished cause I really wanted to see more story, great start.
Anything even slightly katamari is a solid game for me, add in the dark element and sweet artwork of people fleeing, I enjoyed playing this. Felt a little stupid for not realizing I could a) jump and b) needed to to finish.
Game was perfectly adorable, needs a little polishing on the controls, but is a great start!
You didn't score no 1000 points, pic or it didn't happen! JK, there's a lot of directions this could go, it's the cornerstone of a project!
525! That was nuts, there were several times I felt that hitting an object was the only option, but overall solid entry!
It should be a sin to make a game like this and NOT port it to the mac. Shame on you.
I lol-ed, there were bugs for sure, but I'll tell you, they made the game more enjoyable, not bad for a first entry, keep going :D
Why'd you opt out of humor? I would've rated it high, even if it wasn't intentional
It gets crazy fast, wish you could've made it further on this, would've liked to have tried the finished product.
While the game didn't seem to have an objective, the combination of fluid controls, sweet graphics, and nice sound effects kept me into it and having fun. Had a blast tearing it up, nice!
I wasn't able to do anything with it :(
It won't load for me?
I think your game gave me tenis elbow haha. I found no reason not to stand in the middle and spam the coin shoot button. I think on occasion I lost coins from it, but not often. Good idea, physics seem solid.
Same as what the others said it was too short, also the mouse didn't seem to have any game play changing effect, but it was a cute game!
The game was beautiful like everyone else said, I checked to see if anyone else had issues with the mouse being too sensitive but didn't see anyone commenting, so probably just me. Playing on a mac with parallels though, so probably my bad.
I was captivated and compelled to prove you wrong and to not be the monster. While I was hoping the ending would have a deeper reprecusion, it felt as though I could've made any decision and simply self-reflect, which isn't bad either. The music was crazy spot on to move the point forward, overall nice game.
I truly enjoyed the dragon graphics and the voice acting, it was difficult to figure out what to do, and the music level was a little bit higher than the voice so I couldn't hear instruction so well. Would love to see this game again after more instruction!
Controls were a little sticky but you knew that. I enjoyed the game! A good cornerstone to build on!
Solid entry, nice graphics, nice concept!
Oh I did play this and didn't rate??? Well, I don't even need to play it again to do so, cause I still remember this game very well. Loved the graphics, loved the game play and take on it. Many of our monsters is just some guy painted green, this one actually had a monster!
Oh... I loved the intro, neat twist of the un-realization
Wasn't long enough! I liked the idea, and was cracking my knuckles getting ready for a challenge, and then it was over :( Would've LOVED to have seen more levels!
Another Stencyl-er huh? Welcome to the club lol.
Same issue, blurry :(
Wow, that was savage. I only made it up to 12 and that was barely. I feel like I got the strategy, but then again I didn't. Haven't played anything like that before, and that made this great!
I enjoyed watching you guys play this, but really wanted to try the fly controls for myself! Don't know why, but it was incredibly fun! Wish you could've gone even further (or are going to) with your original idea of more creatures.. I'd play that!
Oh God, everyone in here that says they can't beat this are really missing out. Gotta find your bullet hell instincts, avoid the middle and take it slow, because Damn, this is the funniest game I've seen yet! Spectacular work, keep it up!
Where did I go just now? Hahaha, love super random, the fact that it was funny too was a big plus. Great art, music, all around nice job.
Oh snap! I watched Tech Valley Game Space play this! I tried it tonight myself... I feel a lot of designers took a similiar approach to this theme, and I think you stood out with your take on it. Nice entry!
You know... there's only so many times a video game girl can reject me before I WANT her to get video game killed.
OK, so you reeled me in, I was captivated, and I couldn't find 2 of the endings. I tried every combo I could think of and played multiple times, but couldn't do it. Loved the game, wish I could've seen the rest.
2X - 4X please! Always love a good RPG, and I think graphics are a strong part of that, Graphics here are tight.
My computer is a little too slow to enjoy the scaring parts, but the graphics were dead on, and concept was nice! Enjoyed what I could play :D
That got crazy quick! Which means I loved it! First play through, I threw a school bus at a meteor, brilliant!
I found the controls to be a little hard to use, but God is this beautiful. One of prettiest games I've seen yet.
This game is perfect.
Wow, really solid entry. Fantastic job.
Ok, so I'm starting comments before playing. Humor gets auto +1 for the features... brb...
Haha, I played that longer than I thought I would. Solid entry, great voice (?) acting! Loved it.
Beautiful, fantastic. Gorgeous game and game play, nice theme, overall very solid entry.
Very creative! Puzzles were tough, I feel I'm just not smart enough to master them, only stumble through them at times!
Think I figured a bit of it out. Not a bad concept, controls are very smooth. Nice artwork.
It was laggy for me too, but I sat there and took it. It's a shame cause these sped up with a few more elements would make for a real fun game. Apply the polish, I'd check it out afterwards.
Really want to try out a classic Omiya game but I'm not popular.. maybe one day
I wish I had 3 other people to play this with, it looks like it would be a blast! I fooled around with it, but don't have anyone local to boot it up with.. It was tough to control, but it's a lot fun!
Wow, I made it to 19 before things got crazy. Really tight entry, nice polish.
Try and try as I might, I can't get past the dark blue slime, long since past are the days my fingers can keep up with this new generation haha. Nice music too haha, I didn't something like that on mine.
Was a nice take on the theme, more innovative than the curve so far! I think I cheated, I beat every level without lightning just by pounding on the keyboard, ouch carpal tunnel! Solid work, very satisfying!
110. Boom. The controls weren't what I expected, so it added to the learning curve, but in my opinion it made it better. Agree with Andrew, the mower graphic was nice.
I didn't immediately understand what was going on, but figured it out pretty quick. Think I saw someone mention the shop idea was a good idea, def agree. Expand on that to make a more customizable and fun experience!
So simple yet so much fun! Sounds effects and smooth animating was critical and pulled off nicely.
562. I liked this, I really did, not sure the balloon was a powerup I enjoyed, it felt like time taken away from playing, that said, I'm scoring favorably, not a bad entry.
Wow damn that was hard controls to learn, and even after I did I wasn't good at it! The idea was there, but at least for me the learning curve was too tough :(
Wow! The gameplay was smooth and the music was nice, but damn it was hard. Would love to see some stats to see how I'm doing and what the goal is. Feel like I never got better at the game, only less worse haha
What the eff was that...?? (In a good way) Hahaha, it was strange and twisted, and I laughed the whole time. Pretty sure I won't find another game like this any time soon. Definitely memorable, art style was awesome.
That monster was nightmare fuel! Unique artwork, really stood out.
These function are cruel to implement after everyone spent the weekend pounding away at the keyboard! Nice mechanics, loved it! I thought the description meant you hadn't finished the game, but I was pleasantly surprised to see what it was!
It was just my interpretation of "The base is not fully operational yet, but we were able to install the electrical shield in front of the base, and a manual generator for power".. I thought it meant in terms of game dev haha
Oh yeah, can't go wrong with vikings! Sweet concept and solid implementation, one of the better games!
Ohhh, you're a sneaky dev.. nice level design! It's comical and simple, makes it a nice recipe for found. Found myself hooked longer than I expected to be!
Speechless, fantastic. Just wow.
Liked the graphics, liked the concept, really enjoyed playing this. I like entries like this that make me wonder where your mind went when you read grow, love the creativity!
Agree with hotbox, it did move too quick to make the small adjustments, but I like the theme a lot, would like to see a high score to see when I did my best!
I actually enjoyed this, I thought the graphics and sounds were good. The problem for me was I couldn't remember the color change scheme, maybe if you added some kind of display that shows what's next on the progression?
Oh no, I couldn't get it to work! The web version the flame didn't seem to move, couldn't find an O/S version, and my computer stinks at exe's, so my bad. What am I doing wrong??
It was simple, but to the point. I found myself bobbing to the music.
I thought this was going to be a bad entry, I didn't see the game coming, but when I did I couldn't stop laughing, nice one!
That is mad tough! Hey, I noticed the jet flame changed sizes depending on which keys were hit, real nice touch I would've looked over. I'm surprised that was all your voice too, good work.
Nice choices with the visuals and music, always makes for nice touches! Nice entry!
I played on the web, don't know if it's me, the site, or what, but I could click play, but couldn't press space to read on, except for once where it told me something like thanks for playing :(
Very cute! Music was great, level design was appropriately difficult. Loved it.
Dude, nice game for a first dare and first published. The graphics/animations were nicely done. The game play itself was a little damning in that if you lost distance you couldn't regain it, but not necessarily a bad thing. Keep at it, you def got a "style" now expose it!
Wowww.. you weren't kidding about the difficulty, I tried world 2, but there's only so many times I can yell at the computer before I just give up. Nice beginning, can see this turning into something bigger.
I do wish there were more checkpoints, but the game itself was fun and funny! Very pretty!
Nice scaling of difficulty, 68 my first try before I couldn't keep up with the colors any more. Nice music, nice animation, nice game.
Had to do a quick scan of the comments to make sure no one else beat me to it... IT'S OVER 9000!?!?! Great little game, think I read someone mentioning different part variations, would add to this already polished game!
For some reason I couldn't use the arrow keys during game play, but I could for selecting. The game was tight, and for sure innovative, nice entry.
Really solid idea, had to mute after only 30 seconds or so. I think the difficulty is a little high, was hard to get a grasp on what the different guys did, and how to use them properly... I had almost fought the enemy back when the tables turned and I lost it. I really like the direction this was going in and I think you were really close to hitting the mark.
