LD24 — Evolution

Evo Dash by Karel 2012-08-27T02:16:00

Very fun game! I love the random evolving rules! It made me play again and again to see how far I could go. Good graphics too! And good job on the game being complete, with a welcome screen, game, conclusion screen, and even random tips! The only thing I'd change is to make it easier to see how charged my shield is.

Bomb the Bunnies by Sestren 2012-08-28T17:08:00

Congrats for finishing a game even though you only had very little time! I know what it's like! Your idea is fun and sets a great mood for the game!

Invaders: Evolution by vilya 2012-08-27T22:41:00

It's weird, running it on IE10 I get letters instead of the invader graphics (?)

Invaders: Evolution by vilya 2012-08-29T03:21:00

Love the humor! The game is fun, and I really liked how on the first three levels there's something different every time! It didn't work on IE9, btw, I saw letters instead of the symbols.

Dawn of Dimension by jplur 2012-09-04T04:13:00

Awesome idea! I love the idea of a persistent, group-created world. Kudos! It seems you got a complete implementation, though I wish I could use arrow keys instead of a/d. I never found the powerups either, too bad. Perhaps it might help if when we scroll, we see just the edge of the neighbor cells? This could make it easier to have consistent places.

Kittens vs Evolution by dlan 2012-08-30T02:16:00

Haha, awesome! Very fun, and it's a complete game, with scrolling and even a final boss! I guess it has a message... that you didn't like the theme! Still, "fighting evolution" has evolution in it, right?

RobotCity by ahm99 2012-09-04T03:59:00

I like the idea, but could not start the game - it froze the browser on my mac.

Cosmogonie by Spotline 2012-08-29T05:00:00

Really cool graphics and sound! It's neat to see a little forest growing, and I like how we can select the colors! The color effects are very neat, too.

Life by Foxtacy 2012-09-04T03:42:00

I like the music! And it's cool that you got an intro and cutscenes despite the limited time. If I could change something in the parts of the game that are there, perhaps I would make the first level either shorter (it's fine to be short, we know there's little time to make the game), or with more variety.

The Phoenix Rising by Brassawiking 2012-09-04T04:23:00

Awesome game! Congrats, you made a complete game on the theme, and the graphics are great! The controls sometimes have the magical feel of being just what I meant, and sometimes they're a bit confusing (esp the second level with the running), but since when we die we return to the last level, that's ok. I really enjoyed it! Thank you and congratulations! I like the storytelling tyle of "do, don't tell", though I must admit that I have no idea what happened at the first level.

Kitten Farts by scoots 2012-09-11T23:07:00

I couldn't play it because it's Windows-only, but I wanted to say: awesome title!

Bots Vs Fleshbags by vicethal 2012-08-29T03:12:00

I like how you have not just the core game, but also a map to move around! The stick figure outline could look a bit more robot-like, and more interactions and sounds would be nice. All in due time! Congrats for finishing a game!

Natural Selection - You vs the World by DigiTec 2012-08-27T22:30:00

Very fun, and super original! This is a really interesting game!

EvoTD by Jeremy1080 2012-08-29T05:08:00

Very fun game! It's great to have a complete game (with sound even!) and I really like how the towers evolve! By looking at how quickly they are evolving I can see if I put them in good or bad spots. The game feels complete, with a menu and even several modes. Congratulations!

Fit to Fight by VitalWinter 2012-09-07T17:38:00

On the mac this gives me a download... it's not really a web game after all.

The Wrong Kind of Evolution by Matt Hartley 2012-08-28T03:14:00

I heard no sound, but the game's pretty fun! It worked flawlessly (thanks for the "smooth scrolling" toggle, I needed it! Though it was a bit hard to find). Are the waves different from each other? I couldn't tell. The graphics are fine though a bit blocky, and the connection to the theme is a bit tenuous. The game works and it has a menu and all. Congrats! You made a game in 48h. I made it to wave 3, but it'd be easier if we could shoot in a direction other than where we're walking.

EvoBit by Vennril 2012-08-27T02:02:00

Wow, this is very fun! I love how the graphics evolve, and the little effects: the loading bar, the score numbers fading, the flash when things evolve! I kind of wish the edge pushed us instead of killing us, though.

EvoBit by Vennril 2012-08-27T02:06:00

And there's even a cute winning screen! I really liked the game, it's super-fun and very well done! Congrats!

textcraft by panda 2012-08-29T03:17:00

Thanks for the feedback so far! I see several of you are asking for a placeholder world! I'll make sure to put out in the fleshed-out version I'm hoping to make on my next free weekend. Thank you for the feedback and encouragement!
Initially we could add doors to anywhere (including "Dennis"), but then the program can't use the grid to figure out what else is connected to that spot, so the feature didn't make it in time. But I love the imagination that lies behind a door that goes to "dennis"!

textcraft by panda 2012-09-07T04:14:00

Thank you everyone for all the good advice and encouragement! I made an updated version of the game (it doesn't incorporate all the feedback yet, I don't have much time - but it has some!). Of course I have to leave the judging version there for the contest, but if you just want to have fun you can try the updated version at http://jpemartin.com/~jpmartin/textcraft/

What if Pandas could Fly? by nitin 2012-09-07T17:44:00

I wish I could fly! I love the intro! Congrats on making a full game! It's a very funny story, and the game's pretty fun! I only wish I had more pandas in the game. I ran out before getting to the cannon!

The Chamber by yajtheman 2012-08-30T02:06:00

Is the "web" version supposed to work? I get a ".zip" to download instead of a web page.

dronepool by mottmatt 2012-09-11T23:05:00

Wow, just wow. That's an awesome concept! I'd love to see this brought to completion. As it is, my program fights itself... the good news is that I always win! :)

Those Stupid Aliens by LoneStranger 2012-09-04T03:49:00

Congrats on finishing! I love the idea of the aliens evolving, very good use of the theme! And our ship's graphic is very cool! Am I guessing correctly that that the aliens' look represents their genes? The connection was difficult to make out. Another tip that would help is to be very clear to the player about what's going on: in the screen between the waves, you could say "aliens evolving..." - I think it would add to the game.

Axolotl Pop by zeid 2012-09-11T22:46:00

Very fun game, and very complete! Congratulations! The weapons are fun, and the graphics and sounds well done. All that in a weekend? Wow! I don't see the connection to evolution, though.

Modula by The Jahn 2012-08-28T03:21:00

Very cool! I love the idea of the enemies being based on what gave you a hard time. The game's pretty hard, though, I don't think I even finished one level. I find myself pretty quickly with no wings or anything left, just a helpless ball! I like the shooting sound effect, and the graphics work well! The game feels well-rounded, though it could be easier and perhaps with some more visible way to see how the enemies evolve.

E-VOLV by Valandre 2012-09-12T05:38:00

Awesome game! Perfectly on-theme, and fun to play to boot! It's so cool to have 31 turrets around your little ship! Congratulations! Perhaps next time, make the boss a little easier :)

The World of What? by Kaytus 2012-09-04T04:34:00

Beautiful game, and right on theme! Congrats for finishing it! The intro screen was a bit scary (so many controls and stuff going on, without any initial context to make sense of it). If you had more time, perhaps making things more progressive could make the game easy to learn? Also, I ended up clicking pretty aimlessly - some of the tools didn't seem to work, and I had no idea what it meant to have "3 leaves" for example. The game kind of looked like it was meant to present a challenge (were the seasons a threat to my animals?), but I never got the sense that there was much danger, or much of a link between my clicks and what was happening. Some animals appeared sad. Is that a bad thing? Anyways, if the player's goal is to reach achievements, it may be good to show a place where the achievements will go, so we get this feeling that there's something we want to get! Overall, beautiful art and cool idea, but I got lost playing it.

Dorobou Neko! by pythong 2012-09-07T17:01:00

Congrats on finishing a whole game! You have an intro screen, the mechanics, and everything! The chicky even falls offs the edge if you don't lead it carefully! The game's fun, though I would have liked a way to skip the early easy levels. And the iso view is awesome! It looks really good! If I had to change anything, I would perhaps not make it pause when it doesn't have focus (perhaps I know the duck will be safe the first few steps and I want to quickly check reddit?). Perhaps add some more animations at the end (perhaps a victory dance, a "sinking" animation, a "eaten by cat" animation?) - I know those are work and I totally understand them not being there now. I'm just saying this so that my comment gives you some advice, and not just a mindless rave :)

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Terminal by Menesetsu 2014-12-29T05:16:00

The screen looks gorgeous! The mood is great and the game is interesting, though it's hard because we have to guess who can do what - and the error messages aren't very helpful. Being able to scroll would help, too.

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Break the Limits! by Volute 2014-12-08T21:33:00

Wow! Awesome! That was really impressive. The end left me hanging a bit, but the game's very well done! I like how you get this whole story in there using only basic elements.

Paws of Fury by ehtd 2014-12-08T04:00:00

Very well made! It's surprisingly fun (though my clicking doesn't seem to be quite good enough).

Subpixel by Paul Sinnett 2014-12-29T05:56:00

Great use of the theme! This is a fun little Simon game.

Space Docking Sim 2014 by YM 2014-12-29T06:08:00

Awesome! I love it. The only problem is that when I press "R", I completely crashes my whole computer.

Visit by jsspiegel 2014-12-08T03:03:00

Simple but effective!

Behind The Screen - Thanks Ralph Baer by psychopsam 2014-12-09T03:13:00

Awesome idea, fits the theme perfectly! It's too bad that the game stops after we've drawn 0-0, since the score doesn't change.

Zero Sum by Ted Brown 2014-12-09T07:02:00

OMG, This is so *awesome*! The intro is terrific, and the game is just so slick! Wow.

A Terrible Place to Raise Children by otaviogood 2014-12-09T03:59:00

I won! Awesome! This is a great game - lots of fun, great graphics, and even sound effects!

One Last Stand by Nokifict 2014-12-11T19:35:00

The game looks good, but it's a bit hard to follow. It's be easier to click on a turret to select it, rather than on a button that represents it. I couldn't tell what the difference was between the different guns (they look different, but otherwise?). I still have no idea what the "C" and "up" buttons do. Health bars on the enemies would help!
That said I liked the way we were taking the scrap from the damaged ships, that's a cool idea.

Not Making It by Mattias Wargren 2014-12-13T03:36:00

I love the dancing guy graphics! Simple game, but well executed! This is fun!

The Murderdome by RyanNielson 2014-12-13T23:17:00

Great fun! I love the music, and the name's clear and to the point :)

Test subject #4218 by Domantas 2014-12-25T04:26:00

Excellent! The animation, graphics, and sounds all work together very well. The Portal inspiration is clear, yet you created an entirely new game with interesting puzzles! Congratulations, very well done!
If I had to change one thing, it would be to slow down that level that requires crazy-fast mouse movement and precision.

T.R.A.S.H - Totally.Reliable.Autonomouse(ish).ShipDefence.Hinterface by Von Hunt 2014-12-08T03:18:00

Wow. It looks pretty, but I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing! Are the green things friendly? The yellow thing? Why do the buttons not do anything? What's with the constantly ringing phone? Reading the description after the fact, I realize that I was supposed to make my window bigger so I could see the phone and then click it.
The graphics are cool, though, I really like the military look and the 3D-rendered screen.

Packaged by ken 2014-12-25T04:36:00

Very fun, well done! Original, and great use of the theme!

Trapped?! by Grouflon 2014-12-10T01:28:00

I made it to the end! That's a super-fun game, congratulations! And the mechanic is new, which not an easy thing to do for a platformer! I also really liked the graphics.

Who cares Entire Game? by bukt 2014-12-09T03:26:00

Great use of the theme! The game is pretty much impossible though!

Hunt the Pixel by rjhunter 2014-12-30T00:17:00

Great concept, love it! Great use of the theme!

Thermonuclear War by panda 2014-12-08T02:45:00

kraln, the todo file didn't lie, it was just talking about a different computer. Anna isn't the one in charge of the launch computer.

This brings up a question... would it be helpful for the judging if I included a walkthrough?

Thermonuclear War by panda 2014-12-08T02:55:00

stressful sounds and music are a good idea! I may add those post-compo.

Thermonuclear War by panda 2014-12-08T03:33:00

Thank you all! Don't worry if you can't win before you reach the end of the screen: you can reload and use what you learned to get further! That's pretty much the expected way to play.

Thermonuclear War by panda 2014-12-09T23:24:00

Thank you everyone for all the compliments! I'm touched :)

Thermonuclear War by panda 2014-12-09T23:29:00

@Blobby101 the attachment's already on the disk (it was downloaded by the intern earlier) so you don't have to do anything.

Thermonuclear War by panda 2014-12-10T01:20:00

@blobby, that text's cut off the screen, you can't scroll? That's weird. On my computer I can scroll to read the whole text (it just says that the missiles are firing, game over).

If you feel stuck, I posted a walkthrough for level 3 here:
http://decisive-triode-786.appspot.com/data/walkthrough_level3.html

Thermonuclear War by panda 2014-12-12T05:11:00

@peronalurban, I added support for "up" just for you! It's in the post-compo version.

Thermonuclear War by panda 2014-12-13T17:51:00

@Dietrich: You can use 'read emails' on any machine - they all have a built-in email client.

Thermonuclear War by panda 2014-12-28T01:54:00

@Alexandre there should be such a button... perhaps try pressing "enter" a few times to make sure the screen's really super-full?

Thermonuclear War by panda 2014-12-29T05:17:00

@Menesetsu: wow, your game is beautiful! And you managed to get a nicely dark mood in there, too. Well done!

Darumaban by alfadur 2014-12-11T19:41:00

Fun game! Harder than it looks, too, unless I missed something.

SumoBall! by flyingbear 2014-12-13T19:38:00

Hilarious game! I love it! I want to play pinball with a Sumo wrestler more often :)

Zymon by ming_tea 2014-12-08T19:39:00

Haha, well done! That's a neat twist on the Simon game. Apparently my memory isn't good enough to save earth! Oops!

OMNI by Noah Ratcliff 2014-12-12T05:32:00

Awesome! Just... awesome. I love this game!

Sliding StOnes by Kotucz 2014-12-08T21:08:00

Sorry, I couldn't run it. I got this error: Unsupported major.minor version 51.0
Perhaps my version of Java is too old? I have 1.6

Game of the Probability Goose by Alexandre Szybiak 2014-12-28T02:04:00

Very good game! Good graphics and you found a nice twist on the usual dice mechanic! Well done!

SnowCard by mrexcessive 2014-12-09T22:41:00

Nice! Took me a bit of time to figure it out, but then it went fine. Very good use of the theme! Perhaps add some variety in the next version?

Lump of Butter by Aske 2014-12-25T04:46:00

A simple yet fun game! I only played the single player version, thanks for including it! That dog's pretty fast! I really liked the graphics.

The Nth Dimension by Dans17 2014-12-13T04:03:00

I won! The game's interesting, though perhaps a bit more complicated than it needs to be. It'd be good to have better feedback when hitting enemies, and perhaps also when the teleporters are activated (directly on the teleporter itself).

Afterlife Tesla's Disco Party with Flat Buds by Menesetsu 2014-12-28T04:56:00

Great title! And a great concept, too! I like how gameplay generates its own music, that's really cool. The game is different from what I've played before, very original and refreshing!

Galaxia by greysphere 2014-12-10T08:02:00

WOW, this game is a lot more captivating that it seems it has any right to be! I love the "factory factory" idea! I didn't get to conquer the galaxy, though, at some point I mysteriously had 0 planets! And I couldn't produce probes anymore! It looked like some sort of overflow as all the numbers were ridiculously big, to the point of covering some of the text. Overall, an awesome job!

Play PC R-9400 by Toestee 2014-12-28T02:27:00

Two games in one! The games are simplistic, but they work - and two games is more than many can say for 48h.

The Greenening by Erkberg 2014-12-28T02:57:00

Fun game! I'm not sure how to win, though. I had the forest grown at the max level, and the dude across looking at me and sending the spider-things... what then?
Love the music and the mood!

An Adventure on My Screen by Erhune 2014-12-09T04:25:00

This is AMAZING! It needs to get 10/5 for the theme.

Avoid Rage by jackrugile 2014-12-13T07:27:00

Simple but fun! Love it. I got 114. I love the clean style and how things accelerate and change colors as we go!

Cube Destroyer by Hendri 2014-12-13T02:33:00

Nice start! It's odd to see my bullets go through the enemy cubes, perhaps you want to make them stop as they hit? Aside from that, this has the seed of a good game!

Death in front by mahham 2014-12-08T19:31:00

Cool game! It's kind of funny to see the big grin on my lonely survivor. It starts a bit slow, but then the zombies come in fast! I wasn't able to make it to the gun stage.
It was not always clear when the spoon landed a hit or missed, and when I was hit. Perhaps you can use more sound and visual effects to give feedback?

Le Voleur by LuisGuimaraes 2014-12-07T16:49:00

Very cool game, I love the concept and how it fits with the theme! The game is a bit hard, I haven't been able to win yet.

PostFour : Reconstruction by monika 2014-12-29T05:54:00

Excellent game! Very fun, I love the concept. I want to see more!

Dino Dash: Rex's Run by Mechatodzilla 2014-12-13T07:36:00

Beautiful retro look, I love it! The game is fun but it freezes when I die, that's too bad. I had to come back to this page the first time around to figure out the controls. Perhaps some text on the page could help? At any rate, this was a lot of fun, congrats!

Oshters Fishers by Manou 2014-12-13T19:42:00

Pretty and interesting!

Slidey Box by Arkrothe 2014-12-08T20:53:00

Love it! This is fun, and having the text where you have it gives the game a certain style! Thanks for including the lines, they help! I still suck, though :)
I didn't hear any sound or music, too bad.

Block Dungeon by Lancelot Gao 2014-12-11T00:57:00

Excellent game!

Ragtime Pot Toss by Muffinhat 2014-12-08T03:58:00

This is super-effective! I really like the concept. The graphics are great. A simple game, but fun! I love the music, too. You have another day for the jam, will you make new levels?

Fart Force One by calsmurf2904 2014-12-09T03:06:00

Gruesome, but fun! I even managed to cut the little guy in half.

Sprotzel by Waterman7 2014-12-28T02:35:00

Interesting concept, but it's hard! Especially at the beginning, when we have zero blobs to pain with. Losing sometimes feel a bit arbitrary. The graphics are very pretty though!

Jackin by eforen 2014-12-09T06:52:00

I love the idea, too bad you didn't get to finish!

Screened by hexagore 2014-12-09T23:26:00

This is gorgeous! And good music, too. But it's way too hard for me! I'm probably not the target audience. For what it's worth, it loaded plenty fast enough for me.

Snowman Runner by Pantelis Petsopoulos 2014-12-08T19:36:00

21 points! Wow, the little snowman gains some serious speed!
This is a nice little game, good controls and clear game play (though at the beginning you could box us in so we have to go counter-clockwise, that would help). With music and everything, too! Well done!

One Screen by shyupuff 2014-12-08T03:39:00

Well done! This is a very dark take on the theme. It works very well!

Robot Karma Joe by Jupitron 2014-12-09T04:15:00

Awesome intro, very impressive! The game's good too, and the "soul" mechanic is interesting. I don't know why I should put my soul on the eyes, though. Is that how I win? The game just restarted after I got a bunch of eyes, not sure if I was doing the right thing.

Square Dance by chaosed0 2014-12-08T23:28:00

Very fun! I love this game. Thank you for sharing it! Very nice movements and use of sound! And it gets difficult fast, so I don't get bored. Those guys are shooting at me! Ha!

Hive by JoshDBB 2014-12-11T00:53:00

Great game! Very good ambiance, graphics and sound. This is hard! Though it's partly my fault as lazy me didn't want to fetch a proper mouse, so I don't have a right mouse button on the trackpad. I didn't make it past the first night! Still I really like what's there. Extra mood points for the spiders eating me after I'm dead (yuck!).

You are Green by Downtown 2014-12-09T00:07:00

Looks great... I wish my laptop had a right mouse button, then I could play.

Kevin's uncommon story by Zimennik 2014-12-09T03:22:00

Very good use of the theme! I played it all the way to the end; the game itself could use a bit more challenges and variety. Very good graphics!

The Operator by little-burrito 2014-12-08T19:26:00

WOW, I love it! This is so ambitious! So much potential in there! It'll take a lot more than one weekend to flesh it all out, but I hope you do, because I love what I've seen so far!
I agree that this could make a really fun two-player game. Somehow you have to make sure that every player has something to contribute, something a little bit challenging. For example if there is time pressure then the operator is all about quickly figuring out what to do, what to type, all that.
This reminds me a little bit of
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/971379677/black-hat-oculus (and that's a good thing!)

3Scale by jpmit 2014-12-25T05:10:00

Simple concept but difficult game - well done! I like the music, too.

Don't Eat The Damsel by intersectiongames 2014-12-13T02:56:00

"damsels do not count as health items" - lol! Excellent game, and beautiful graphics! One thing I'd suggest, though, is to have smaller pictures: I had to scroll up and down to go from picture to text, and it can grow tiresome. Otherwise, excellent work! I love the humor in it :)

Snowbert by spacedoubt 2014-12-09T17:38:00

Fun!

The Best of Both Worlds by AGausmann 2014-12-13T02:44:00

Wow, super original! This is a fun game! It gets difficult as it goes. I made it to level 5! Excellent idea and congrats on making a fully working game in such a short time!

Alien Harvesting Simulator by kmasiulis 2014-12-13T03:30:00

Fun game! I enjoyed it :) it's fun to place walls! One suggestion is to make it easier to see which gun fired, and perhaps make the different guns more different than just range? Good use of the theme!

SUPER Market Madness by flwns 2014-12-09T22:18:00

This has potential! We can all relate to the poor cashier. I'd like a bit more feedback when the item scans successfully but otherwise this is off to a good start!

I am Sigma by GeeItSomeLaldy 2014-12-09T22:53:00

Good game! I'm not entirely convinced about the theme use, but that certainly is a good platformer! I love how Sigma complains about the lasers.

Marelda by Peach Pie Productions 2014-12-08T21:14:00

Wow, all that in 48h? I'm so impressed! The game's very fun, the music is catchy, the graphics and sound effects are good! This is a complete game! Just wow.

One by Fanttum 2014-12-08T03:54:00

The music is beautiful, I wish it loaded faster though. Neat idea, with the story that develops depending on what you do. I am curious to see where you could take that.
(oh, one nitpick: "appears" is misspelled in the game)

Sweet Honey Bear by Larry 2014-12-09T16:54:00

Congratulations! It's fun, I made the bear happy. Nice graphics, too!

ManyQuest by SkullPixel 2014-12-28T03:08:00

Fun idea! Pretty difficult, but I love how we can get the enemies to throw themselves on the spikes! Nice music and sounds too!

Diametric by JFern 2014-12-09T07:23:00

Very pretty!

Bean Bag Toss by cmcoto 2014-12-28T05:08:00

I wasn't able to play.. pressing space throws the ball in the air even if I'm not touching it, and clicking where it says "tap" doesn't seem to do anything.

War of Tanks by LedgeTheDev 2014-12-28T05:00:00

Nice game, with music even! I had difficulty aiming, perhaps make the tanks bigger?

Neon Jellyfish Heart Attack by slarrimer 2014-12-28T05:05:00

I like the minimalistic style, and the gameplay's interesting - how I get to wrap around the edges but the enemies don't! It gets pretty difficult. It would be nice to have some indication of how far I went! Perhaps zoom it a bit, though?

7 Days of War by error031 2014-12-09T07:18:00

Beautiful and fittingly depressing game! Wow!

Farm for Space by pixzleone 2014-12-09T07:33:00

I like it, but it's hard! The meteors are coming very fast, and I'd really expect the house to protect me. It's not obvious that we have to press "down" - perhaps just add the new plot automatically?

I Am Technician by Murchurl 2014-12-09T23:23:00

This Is Well Done I Think? But why write everything in title caps? It looks like the game is designed to frustrate... and it succeeded! I had a good laugh when I found a cat inside the computer, though. No idea how to take it out! Clicking it didn't work. You should try adding a way to poke out own eyes out with the screwdriver, see how many people do it.

Spider Simulator by Stechas 2014-12-08T03:31:00

Apparently my construction skills suck! I wasn't sure how to make my silk stick to the rest of the web. Space? R?
Anyways I love the concept, and the graphics are pretty good!

Visibility Zero by molecats 2014-12-13T03:52:00

Wow, this is very impressive! Great atmosphere, graphics, and idea!

Wayang by xlash86 2014-12-08T23:51:00

Awesome graphics and use of the theme! This is beautiful! I really like how the game is really just a show we're watching. I don't know how to deal with enemies from behind, though, I died.

Houston, We've Got a Problem by MrBadIvan 2014-12-11T20:57:00

Good idea, cool game!

The Top Floor by ohmmus 2014-12-08T21:02:00

Love it! Very fun :) I was able to get to 12000 points. Sometimes thinks are a bit off from where they should be, but that just adds some charm to the game. It doesn't seem there's an end to the game, though? I got to the top floor, there wasn't anything special there. And the ghosts respawn, so I can never kill them all. Also, I can walk off the side of the building...

Soviet Snowman Versus the Capitalist Pigs by MarthMadness 2014-12-08T21:06:00

Sorry man, I couldn't run the game. I downloaded the jar file and when running it with java -jar I got this error: "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Man : Unsupported major.minor version 52.0". I have Java 1.6.0_65, perhaps your code requires the latest and greatest version of Java?
(this is on OSX)

Door 37 by Phaax 2014-12-08T03:43:00

Wow! This game looks way too hard for my tired brain. I love the concept, though! The only thing that bothers me a little are the switches, because some of them I can't see the effect at once. It's going to be a bit of a pain to figure out which ones I'm better off pressing, and which ones I should ignore!
Great idea, flawless execution. Congrats!

How To Win a Jam by adrianulima 2014-12-09T02:49:00

Haha, awesome! Love this game, congrats! I love how you used real names, and the comments are spot on!

Liquid Media Games by liquidmedia 2014-12-11T20:02:00

Ah... I would probably enjoy this more if I had a numpad on my laptop. As it is, I can't play.

Clickity Click by broknecho 2014-12-09T03:43:00

I made it to wave 17! This is very fun, and the graphics are great! I wasn't quite sure what was going on with the soldiers, though.

Bryce Darling by Slothradamus 2014-12-11T19:46:00

Good characters, good use of the theme! That's a good start, keep on learning! One thing I noticed is that I can jump while falling. Also, the jumps may look better if a bit smoother: perhaps go up for a bit, then nothing, then go down for a bit (instead of up then down as you do now). Or you could use non-integer numbers and get something completely smooth.

rougish by kraln 2014-12-08T03:12:00

Looks very interesting! I love that it has music, too. However when I use the arrow keys, the browser window scrolls at the same time as the game moves! That makes it very hard to play. And hjkl hurts my non-vi brain.

Perhaps list the keys in the text under the game window?

Cube Shooter 31 by cachila4408 2014-12-08T23:09:00

Good game! Simple, but fun. I love the way you give the instructions on the screen - it follows the theme but also works very well!

Attack with Stealth by svarther 2014-12-11T20:21:00

I was completely lost. What's the goal of the game? I have a gun, but there's nothing to shoot at. I can't even see myself. Some of the comments talk about the ground falling; I must not be patient enough because I tried playing for a while but I never saw anything happen.

RIZUMUDEKATTO by EquipeJAM 2014-12-28T05:12:00

Nice game! I love the concept and the music. I had some trouble initially because the flashing "S" looked like a "9" so I thought it was a life indicator, and didn't understand why the character wasn't following my instructions.
Also I'm not exactly clear on when I'm supposed to press the key - clearer feedback would be useful.

Tegual's Escape by Tegual 2014-12-09T00:05:00

Fun game, good graphics and lots of content! It's hard to remember which key does what.

Electric Jezebel by OttersDen 2014-12-13T03:43:00

That third level is hard! I didn't really make it to the puzzle part, but the game's well done! The character looks amazing, how did you make it look so good?

Sentinel by kipelovets 2014-12-13T19:20:00

Fun! Excellent graphics, great use of the theme! I did save that slowpoke hero, but he took his sweet time!

SPIN-2 by hypnoticbytes 2014-12-08T23:59:00

Pretty, and good music! This is a very fun game! I love how the color changes as I progress. I wish I didn't have to memorize the color->number mapping, though. And it'd be nice to have some feedback when I win or lose! That might have helped me figure out the game by playing instead of reading the instructions.

Microscope by johnbrynte 2014-12-08T03:06:00

Beautiful, and very fun! Congrats, I love what you were able to build in such a short time!

It's always there by Mr MadCat 2014-12-09T03:02:00

Very smart use of the theme! The story aspect fleshes out the game. The end is psychedelic!
I found myself sometimes waiting for the text to finish appearing. Perhaps it could come faster?

Dog Pile by StackAttack 2014-12-29T04:31:00

Awesome idea, great game! And with music, even! I love this concept and want to see more of it! I had one big problem: I wasn't able to rotate the slides. Perhaps it's because I'm using a trackpad; it would be helpful to include a keyboard equivalent. Thank you for having a keyboard option for zoom in&out!

Shoob by jonnopon3000 2014-12-29T04:36:00

Original idea, worked well. It could use a bit more originality in the enemies, or a clear goal beyond just score. One level had me driving a white ship against a white background, that part felt unnecessarily hard!

Grav Boot by deepinthewoods 2014-12-29T04:40:00

Nicely animated little guy! The game is pretty simple but I have no idea what gives me points. I like the rolling jump!

Sword Arena by Kyatric 2014-12-29T04:46:00

Good game, it's fun to win those fights! However it seems I got stuck a few times - I couldn't move at all anymore and had to reload the game! Making the movements more responsive would probably increase the fun.

Information SuperHighway 1983 by Blobby101 2014-12-09T06:48:00

Looks great... but I'm getting a dropbox error! Oh no!

Information SuperHighway 1983 by Blobby101 2014-12-09T23:14:00

AWESOME! I was able to load the game this time. This is so much prettier than my own hacking game! Awesome job on this, and the sounds! And the atmosphere! For some reason I had difficulty placing the phone on the acoustic coupler, it kept on placing sideways... still I'm *so* glad I didn't have to click on the keyboard to type!

Narwhal with a Gun by LonelyTimeLord 2014-12-09T00:09:00

Funny and nice graphics - I like how you have many levels! It's kind of weird though that I'm a fish and I can't swim back up to the platform.

HackTheSpaceCafe by Jed T. 2014-12-09T06:57:00

Fun concept, a bit confusing to play though.

Snowma'am by udo 2014-12-11T19:21:00

Great game! I like the atmospheric music and the graphics. Wish I could give the units a path to follow instead of moving one step at a time. But I like how you mix melee and ranged attacks so we have to be vigilant!

LiliLight by Carduus 2014-12-11T20:16:00

Beautiful graphics, great idea! The game's pretty hard. I think I burned 5 demons or so. They hit hard! Looking forward to the story version!

Beat Bop Delicious by Kitch 2014-12-13T19:33:00

Excellent game! Love the graphics, music, and mechanic! I'm not a big fan of the rotating text but I guess that's a matter of taste. It may be better if it only came as a response to my clicks.

Communications Control by PapyPilgrim 2014-12-25T05:02:00

Very nice! And you even have tab completion, much nicer than my own text game! I like it, only wish that there was more content, and more to the story - I want to know what happens next! It would also be nice if it were less linear.

My Weekend in Front of a Screen by Morgawr 2014-12-13T23:22:00

Very slow, and having to click every time just so the text shows up at a reasonable pace gets old pretty fast. It feels like the story could have gotten to the same point much quicker. Very nice graphics, though!

Orion by feiss 2014-12-09T22:31:00

very pretty, congratulations! Is this all based on actual steps, or is it made up?

LD33 — You are the Monster

Exogorth by Will Edwards 2015-08-29T22:34:00

The cave's beautiful, great mood, the sound helps! I found the controls a bit difficult, though. Hard to accelerate to catch up to the ships! Perhaps a different control scheme for the post-compo version.

Hans Gaertner by Qaterknan 2015-08-30T21:39:00

A very difficult game to play. Kudos for the pretty snow effects. I had to stop before finishing the game.

Monster by Aiursrage2k 2015-08-25T04:39:00

very pretty graphics, and the game is right on theme! I love how your "lives" are just the height of your monster. It was a bit jarring to have buses and helicopters in what looked like a virtual world, but it was fun anyways.

CRUNCH!!! An Interplanetary Meal Trip by Ryusui 2015-09-03T02:01:00

Wow, I love this game! It's very fun to play, and I like the graphics and sound effects too! Excellent job, kudos!

Justice Five by randoman 2015-08-30T21:48:00

I wasn't able to play - when I make it up the platforms to touch the first guy, it doesn't do anything! I tried multiple times but no result. Perhaps I'm not actually dangerous. I'm not a monster!

Milky Helps People by reheated 2015-08-29T06:55:00

I played to both endings! Very fun game, and I loved the cutscenes! Beautiful :)

You! Are the monster by panda 2015-08-24T02:16:00

The puzzles are generated!

You! Are the monster by panda 2015-08-24T14:56:00

@peterkirk, which browser were you using?

You! Are the monster by panda 2015-08-30T17:05:00

Thanks @miwuc! I totally agree that difficulty control would be great. I actually wanted to put that in, but ran out of time - judging the difficulty takes a bit of work because the solver doesn't work the way we would, so it yields no obvious insight on the puzzle's difficulty.

You! Are the monster by panda 2015-08-30T17:08:00

p.s. and #25031 is easier once you realize that "in my group" implies there was at least one other person with them. So right away we see that either (a) the monster changed their shirt color, or (b) the monster is Bob or Charlie. Exploring option (b) means that Alice told the truth, so Charlie would be the monster. The other statements are consistent, so Charlie's the monster!

Monster is a Mommy by pansapiens 2015-08-29T06:11:00

Fun! It's easy to understand the game, and we want to save the eggs! Good design, graphics are fun. Good job!

Monster in cuadrada by Jet Spy Dragon 2015-08-29T04:47:00

The art style works well, the sound effects are cool, and the game shows lots of promise! I like what I see, and I'm looking forward to the post-compo version!

Safari by Parappa 2015-08-24T05:10:00

Haha, very topical! Excellent take on the theme, and I actually really liked the graphics! I was surprised you even took the time to model the whole office! The game could use some sound effects, though.

Grow by fullmontis 2015-08-30T20:30:00

Super mood! The graphics are perfect and things are appropriately depressing. The fact that everything you do hurts you is just perfect for the mood. The game's difficult (and could use more hints as to how to play), but it's fun to discover the mechanic and beat the odds! It's a great start, it'd be great to add more things to do once we figure out the right timings. I tried the post-compo link too, but it didn't work (said "404, not found").

Time Spill by Chronodrax 2015-08-24T03:05:00

I'd be nice to include keyboard controls too... I don't have a mousewheel on my laptop!

Alien Rush by miro662 2015-08-30T17:28:00

I love the graphics, and the concept! One problem I ran into is I don't know how to scroll, so most of the action was happening off-screen!

Calcusaurus by CorgiCommander 2015-08-30T03:01:00

I completed the game! Yay! It said to wait, but then nothing happened. All the same, this is a great game! With music, sound effects, great visuals, and even some polish! I really like it, congratulations!

LD33 - Overlord by Latency 2015-08-24T05:05:00

I like that this is something you can play, and win! The towns don't seem to matter tactically, but having them makes the game visually more interesting. I enjoyed battling the AI!

Denoky by Namide 2015-08-30T03:32:00

You made a complete game, congrats! I liked the bullet-dodging more than the stomping, but our size clearly conveys that we're the dangerous monster! Right on theme.

Bashy Bashy by pokeplun 2015-08-24T02:57:00

Bashing those helpless creatures was more fun than I was expecting! Good job on including sound effects, and I like the model for the monster! It's cool that we level up after enough kills, but it'd be nice if we changed shape in addition to just growing.
Putting a texture on the ground would also help, at the beginning I wasn't sure whether I was moving at all!

Monsters Eating by Vantaug 2015-08-30T05:19:00

Clearly, I'm a monster. I ate so many souls!
This is a strangely addictive game. Perhaps it needs an end? Nice graphics, good job!

Knight lighter by ripter 2015-08-25T04:56:00

I won, yay! The princess is mine! Cool game! It looks quite polished, with nice graphics and sound effects! Impressive for such a short time!

Monsterhythm by danialias 2015-08-29T06:06:00

This is fun, but hard! At least the pattern repeats, so that makes it possible. I love the retro LCD game feel!

Fairycula by dusho 2015-08-24T02:25:00

Fun! The game was a little difficult for me, but that's because it's hard to do right mouse button on my laptop. I wish you offered an alternative!

Crop Circles 2015 by Keith Stellyes 2015-08-24T03:04:00

Original! And kudos for having your own music! The ship's hard to steer, but of course that's part of the idea. I did terribly! Thanks for including a Web version!

Labor Day the Game by hinerz 2015-08-25T05:07:00

Properly dystopian! The second time around, for some reason, I only ever got one worker. Perhaps there was too much killing earlier? Cool graphics and music, nice theme, well done!

Player Rush by Hot Box Games 2015-08-29T22:58:00

Great graphics, cool concept! I like the sound, too. It's impressive you were able to make all this so quickly!

Damage Control by peterkirk 2015-09-03T01:17:00

Yay, I finished all the levels! The game's very fun, and really makes you feel that you're a monster! Congratulations! Nice music, too! I wish I could carry more than one key at a time, though.

Otherworldly Stars by Sam Twidale 2015-08-24T02:51:00

This game is gorgeous! I love the visuals. Sadly, I got stuck. No idea how to atone. Also, the text would sometimes cut off as I travel from screen to screen, that's too bad.

Serious Business by superjoebob 2015-08-29T06:00:00

Impressive graphics, sounds, and.. ambition! The game's very good, though I seem to die a lot. You kept me playing again and again - this is among the best games I've seen so far! Congratulations!

Oh! You Monster! by rodobodolfo 2015-08-28T03:17:00

Hilarious, and great graphics and music! Very enjoyable!

Tenebris Morte by FerraWare 2015-08-31T04:12:00

The branching animation is pretty, I'd like to see it taken further - perhaps a wiggly path when things aren't going well, or a visual representation of the jump? Perhaps zoom out at the end, revealing the many possible paths? The text adventure is decent, though it could use more variety.

Sparks 'N The Knight by UncleChris 2015-08-31T02:50:00

I won! Nice little game. Movement could be a bit improved, and even though it was explained, it's a bit counter-intuitive that clouds hurt! I really enjoyed how everything was destructible, though, that's cool! Is this really your first game? Congratulations, you're off to a great start!

Rampage Monster by ekajjake 2015-09-03T01:19:00

Lol, very fun! I wish the screen were a little bit bigger. Nice music and animation!

Eat Humans by BoyWithStick 2015-08-29T05:23:00

I loved the graphics, humor, and mood! Excellent work! The health needs to be a little bit less stealth, but overall it plays well! The choice of a restaurant location is perfect :)

The Bed Was Cold by lectvs 2015-08-25T04:33:00

Beautiful! I loved the graphics, and the music! The story was intense, too, and the difficulty felt just right.

The Core by ferdbold 2015-08-24T03:11:00

My hat's off to you! The graphics are gorgeous, the sound effects fit right in, the gameplay is terrific, and the alternate ending... wow. Well you made me play long enough to find it, goes to show how much I enjoyed this game. Yours is my favorite game so far!

Home Alone: Ozzyla by TajamSoft 2015-08-28T01:15:00

I had flashbacks of Alleycat! This game's fun, and it's impressive how much stuff you could put there in so little time! Great graphics and cool effects. I seemed to only be able to run to the right, and not the left?

The Hunted by Jakob37 2015-08-27T14:57:00

Oh, I love this! The art style is beautiful, and we really get into the mood of the hunted monster! The game's fun, too, and the platforming works well. Congrats!

Maiden Voyage by ProgrammerSteve 2015-08-28T01:27:00

Excellent graphics and animation! I made it to the last level, and liked the sounds too! The game's fun and looks polished. Great work, congratulations!

Look Into The Mirror by yuigoto 2015-08-25T04:52:00

I couldn't make it past the second level! This game demands a lot of precision. I like what I saw, cool graphics, sounds, and theme!

Lardum by Grahhhhh 2015-08-30T21:26:00

Wow, it's amazing how much fun you squeezed into such a simple mechanic! Great job! The graphics are great, the sound is fun, and you even included a menu and options, nice polish! Great job!

They're Escaping! by DR_Humbus 2015-08-25T04:41:00

It didn't work: the web link says "Unity: failed to download data file". I think you have to put the html file somewhere along with the rest for us to be able to play it.

Sly Slime - Revenge On All Players by reckhou 2015-08-30T05:11:00

Wow that game's amazing! The graphics and sound are great, and the gameplay great.. and then you add powerups? Man. I think this is my new favorite game.

Bearzilla by iman1000000 2015-08-24T05:15:00

Simple and effective, I like it! I love that you provide an editor, that's awesome! The graphics are great, and I love the little polish details like how the spikes slow you down.

Shadow Walk by cybutek 2015-08-29T06:28:00

Great idea! The game's a bit hard, the cars keep on killing me! I like the graphics, the sounds are cute, and the BIG menu works a charm!

Run Ogre, Run! by CrazyMinnowStudio 2015-08-29T22:23:00

I wish there was a web version.

Nailed by OutlawGameTools 2015-08-24T02:36:00

OMG, this is so horribly evil! What a mood this sets. Cool sound effects, too! I wish the game were a bit more permissive with how precisely I aim at the little guys, though.

n8b cthulhu fhtagn by n8b 2015-08-29T07:00:00

Very nice! I love how in addition to dodging bullets, we can eat the humans! Good job on the graphics! The game's pretty hard, though.

Not-So-Slender Troll by Vycerys 2015-08-25T06:19:00

I tried the web version. It works, but the window was bigger than my screen so a part was clipped off. I wasn't able to find any humans (it's very dark, I can't see far). When I click, the game seems to freeze for a second. It's weird. I enjoyed the pretty graphics, though!

Not-So-Slender Troll by Vycerys 2015-09-03T01:20:00

Impressive 3D graphics! It's very dark, though. I got lost and wasn't sure what to do.

Ev0L by AzureKnight808 2015-08-30T05:25:00

and there I thought I'd be killing him! Great game!

Bush Man by willchil 2015-08-28T03:12:00

I love the graphics, and the game is fun! Hilariously in theme. Good call with the highscore, too!

Sunset Monster by dregamr 2015-08-30T18:49:00

Great graphics and sound effects, awesome shooter! I don't know how to see the "big beam" coming, though, and that kills me. Then I have to start all over again? Perhaps include checkpoints in the game?

rIPoff by VideoDog 2015-08-25T04:48:00

Cool looking game, and original concept! But the text is so slow to display that it's physically painful. The jumping bits were also a bit odd, perhaps you can try to make it so the platforms don't stop us on the way up.

Escape From The City by miwuc 2015-08-30T17:14:00

Yay, I made it to the forest! What a great game! I just love the concerned expression on Godzilla, as in "oh no, why aren't these people just letting me return to the forest?" Gameplay's good, we're not too powerful so even though we're this big scary monster, we can't just stay and stomp on tanks all day, we have to flee to the forest! And I love that you got music and sound effects in there, too! Excellent job!

Bug life by mramaizng 2015-08-24T02:01:00

Excellent idea, I love it! And the snarky text is the perfect blend of humor and tutorial. When I left the game sit for a bit while I was doing something else, it appears my bug sunk through the floor.

Politics by foxor 2015-08-24T05:45:00

A simple mechanic, used in service of a good game! I like how you show money's corrupting influence. Some of the text got a little repetitive, after a while, but I guess by then we're hardly reading it anyways!

Speed Planet Assault by snarf 2015-08-24T05:12:00

The game doesn't work - I get a dropbox page that gives me an html page to open, but that doesn't work. You may have to put your game up on a web host.

@jcmonkey I am using Firefox, on a Mac.

Delivery Boi by JCMonkey 2018-08-13T01:52:56Z

@jcmonkey the samples at http://webglsamples.org work fine, so I have no idea what the problem is, sorry.

Outrunning Space! by drludos 2018-08-13T01:05:31Z

On point! Well done!

Climb or Drown by Decentsauce 2018-08-13T02:20:19Z

WOW, impressive! I love the sound when you're in the water! Really cool to see 3D in the browser! The movement works well and everything. If I had a gripe, it would be that it feels like the camera's a bit low to the ground.

TeTrans by BoltKey 2018-08-13T01:51:25Z

This is well made, congrats! I love how it fits the theme, and I'm impressed you made three levels, *and* online rankings!

Chickens & Elves by Meta-link 2018-08-14T06:11:09Z

The graphics are awesome, the music's very nice, and congrats for putting together such a nice game in such short a time! I like the puzzle aspect once I understood it, but the tutorial didn't do it for me and I almost gave up on the game. It didn't help that it felt like some of my clicks didn't register - or perhaps I just wasn't sure what to expect. The "sleep" mechanic may be more pleasant if we can wake them up with just the mouse cursor perhaps?

Edited to add: I love how the little chicks jump when you finish a level! I made it to the end, perhaps add a "congratulations" screen?

Pick up space toys! by panda 2018-08-11T01:41:47Z

**I'm in!** I don't yet know what I'll make, but I'm hoping I can make it work with the Oculus Go (and normal computers too). Wish me good luck!

Pick up space toys! by panda 2018-08-12T03:36:46Z

My game, "Pick up space toys!" is now (somewhat) playable, yay milestone! I added the [link](https://out-of-space.glitch.me/) to my game description but it is very much **unfinished** so don't submit ratings for the contest yet!

Pick up space toys! by panda 2018-08-13T00:40:54Z

Yay, finished! It works from the web on any computer, but also with Oculus Go and (hopefully) related VR goggles.

[Give it a try](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/pick-up-space-toys)!

Pick up space toys! by panda 2018-08-13T01:54:58Z

Fair criticism, @seafishelle. I don't really know how to make music that sounds good.

Pick up space toys! by panda 2018-08-14T13:54:27Z

Thank you for all the feedback! For those curious, I posted a [making of](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/pick-up-space-toys/pick-up-space-toys-the-making-of).

Pick up space toys! by panda 2018-08-16T03:41:17Z

@grigory agreed! We could make a whole adventure game, with inventory and everything.

Pick up space toys! by panda 2018-08-21T18:11:02Z

Thank you @cercle!

Aquaduct by dikkop 2018-08-14T06:17:41Z

Beautiful graphics, nice music, and the sphere is cool! I would perhaps change the text on this web page to make the instructions easier to read. Adding commas and avoiding Title Caps would help. Also consider offering a key to replace right-click for those playing on laptops with touchpads. I ran into a bug where the tile didn't show up graphically, but then I couldn't place anything in that spot anymore!

Crowded Dungeon by RandyTayler 2018-08-14T05:41:08Z

Fun story, and well done! With pictures and music and multiple meaningful choices! Congrats, I can't wait for chapter 2!

ToFSDfSftPDRRoDwL by Xwilarg 2018-08-14T06:36:30Z

Hilarious title, and beautiful graphics! Nice fit for the theme, and it's cute how we carry all those people. One thing, though: perhaps write down the number under them so we know which to press. Also, in the instructions, say we can remove them by pressing *a number*, not *on the number pad*. Most laptops don't have a number pad, so people might pass on the game even though they didn't have to.

Sound would be nice, but even more so it'd be nice to have some clearer indication when we lose a heart. As it stands, I was initially confused as to why sometimes holes killed me, and sometimes they didn't.

Edited to add: I might make the jumps less high, too.

ToFSDfSftPDRRoDwL by Xwilarg 2018-08-14T14:24:37Z

@xwilarg I meant you should change the description on this page. Instead of "numeric keyboard" (which I interpreted as "number pad") perhaps you should say "number keys". That'd be clearer, I think.

ToFSDfSftPDRRoDwL by Xwilarg 2018-08-14T14:41:07Z

Thank you @xwilarg !

Grandmother's love! by Dinosaur 2018-08-14T06:48:43Z

Pretty graphics! The game goes fast, it's hard to survive! And perhaps it's just me, but I'd prefer an end screen that doesn't insult me.

Space Hauler by Keppu 2018-08-14T14:21:46Z

Impressive! The graphics are beautiful, and I like the sound effects. This matches the theme perfectly, and the game's so sophisticated! I wasn't very good with the grab gun, so I ended up just grabbing things with the truck itself. I love how the mines are polished, they light up and give you a moment to flee before exploding! Super well done, congrats!

Get Comfortable by Chillen 2018-08-13T04:46:31Z

The game won't play for me (Firefox, MacOS), it just says "index out of bounds".

Get Comfortable by Chillen 2018-08-14T01:48:56Z

@chillen, I downloaded the binary version and that worked! The game's very original! I wasn't able to make it to 6, though, it's pretty hard. Love the idea, game, and graphics! The sound works very well, too.

Adventures of Captain Cleaner by Naro 2018-08-14T07:07:42Z

OK so this is beautiful and the music is great. Somehow, I am unable to push the enemies into the pit - they cling to me, or climb on top of me.

Deluge by Rkuhl 2018-08-13T03:29:32Z

Smart use of the theme, and an emotional game! The flooding mechanism means the game's very short but that's fine. I liked the graphics, but my only complaint would be that it was hard to tell that the world's scrolling when I hold down 'd' - so the first few games I just stayed near the middle and died.

Space Survivor by ArdaGk 2018-08-13T00:59:20Z

This game's very hard! Very sophisticated though, must have been a lot of work!

Defrag by mediyaz 2018-08-14T14:36:14Z

I must say, many games for this jam have some version of "the void", but this one is by far the best!

Space Creator by Zykroma 2018-08-14T14:12:02Z

The music's very relaxing, and I loved the encouraging message when I lose! The graphics are amazing for a jam, though I'm not clear on why the astronaut needs to wear the helmet inside.

Farming in space is charming. If I could add something, I'd try to make the seeds more distinct, and more suggestive of what they'll end up as. Also, I died because I couldn't find the trash. Perhaps there is something you can do to make it more obvious what we can interact with? Another pitfall is that when I grabbed a seed from the first time, I didn't even realize I had! My character was in front of the dispenser so there was very little visible movement as the seed went up on my head.

Overall I like it, and this is one of the games I've seen with the most potential for growth!

Solar Destroyer by EarthenSky 2018-08-16T03:48:28Z

Game doesn't work for me (Firefox, MacOS). It's just a blue box with "running" in the middle, and "powered by foo" on the top and bottom. WASD or arrows did nothing.

For what it's worth, the web console shows: ``` DOMException: "The operation is insecure." love.js:24:16509 ```

Alchemist's Apprentice by zachw136 2018-08-13T02:06:26Z

I love the ambiance of this game and how well it fits the theme! The sounds are very good, and the excuses are hilarious! I wish it had faster pacing, though. Also, I never managed to put a potion in the trash without breaking it, I don't know whether that's normal.

Alchemist's Apprentice by zachw136 2018-08-13T03:24:37Z

lol @hive-mind! Do it!

Alchemist's Apprentice by zachw136 2018-08-13T04:41:08Z

@zachw136 love it!

Lest mynyt vacation by Akaneiro 2018-08-13T14:59:39Z

Beautiful music and graphics, perfect match to the theme! I'm impressed by the variety of items we're packing in that suitcase! The only thing I had difficulty with was the "game over" mechanic. It seemed that sometimes, just mousing over a covered spot would end the game.

The Adventures of Stickman in Macrosoft Doors! by Scott Purcival 2018-08-13T05:25:43Z

Super music, cool sound effects! I like the concept, and how there is a bit of variety across the levels. If I could change one thing, I would reduce the inertia in the control, I had difficulty controlling stickman.

Colony by thechubbypanda 2018-08-14T07:16:13Z

I love the graphics, music and sound effects! The intro made me smile. The game works well and progresses quickly. It was a bit hard for me!

Give Me Space by annoyedCactus 2018-08-16T03:45:15Z

I tried playing the web version, but it didn't work. I would click on the right, and then nothing happens. I can click a few times, and then it says I lost.

The game is also too big to fit on the screen, so I have to scroll to see the text. And then pressing space scrolls the web page instead of advancing in the game. I'd recommend using a smaller window so it fits on everyone's screen.

Hell Runner by Doomishgames 2018-08-16T03:50:57Z

The game window scrolled when I pressed the arrows, while my guy's moving at the same time - that was confusing. I also had a huge lag spike, not sure what that was about. Love the music, though, and the game concept seems solid.

Tale of the Bagger: A Love Story by trozen 2018-08-14T05:52:46Z

I only made it to level 7, but this is amazing! Very polished! Pro-quality graphics, great sounds, even animated people in the background! And last but not least, a fun puzzle mechanic that matches the theme and well-designed levels. Do you make games for a living?

Space Runner by Guilhermoni 2018-08-13T03:32:03Z

web link's a 404.

Progression || Degeneration by JustinSix 2018-08-13T02:10:24Z

Tbere's a surprising amount of content in there! Good job! Love the programmer graphics.

The Post Office by TOPHATs64_GAMEs 2018-08-14T01:42:46Z

Fun concept, I like it! The graphics are good. I had an issue at the beginning where the man wasn't moving until I pressed space once. I like the game; one way to improve it would be to speed things up with more than one box in the air at once, and more difference between the levels.

The Fountain At The City's End by Benn Ends 2018-08-14T14:33:38Z

The game doesn't load for me (Firefox, MacOS), I just see a black screen when I press "Run game".

BunBrigade by xinmone 2018-08-13T04:45:46Z

Excellent mechanics, good puzzle, well done! My only gripe would be that the text was too pixellated and too big, making it hard to read. Also, the difficulty ramped up quickly!

Occult Cowboy in the Salad Kingdom by Lynn Young 2018-08-14T05:45:07Z

Fun programmer graphics, and good use of the theme! The monsters get repetitive, though, and while it's very useful to be able to shoot diagonally, it's a bit odd when there's no diagonal-facing guy image. The score seemed to change a bit erratically, sometimes going up when the monster appears, and sometimes when I shoot it.

Slime Defense by dimlyorchid 2018-08-13T04:49:52Z

Got 42 slimes!

Excellent music and sound effects, and I love the graphics! (They are perfect for a game jam). Classic gameplay, done pretty well.

Zero Grace Megadrive by triplefox 2018-08-16T18:30:00Z

Nice graphics, I love the sound effects, and the gameplay is fun! Excellent job! I loved the little animation at the start. The explanation wasn't super clear, though. What can I jump on? As far as I could tell, I had to trap the worm things.

Out of Fuel by plieguito 2018-08-13T03:23:09Z

Very well made, cool sound effects, great level design!
