Test Subject 13B by maxking1234 2013-08-27T09:33:00

Interesting concept, but popping inside monsters make for a quite fast game over which doesn't feel deserved. Otherwise, pretty solid concept, and nice realization (I liked the pixel graphics and the small animations are a nice touch).

NSA's Where's Snowden? by Will Edwards 2013-08-29T14:52:00

Very interesting (and frightening, and funny, yeah it feels weird to have both at the same time :p) concept. Props for aiming for realism!

Ardor by permanente1600 2013-08-27T15:20:00

Awesome art and sound ambiance. The gameplay felt a bit simplistic, but I liked the fact that you had to figure it out most for yourself. I loved the conclusion of the game :)

Beyond Hope by manabreak 2013-08-28T15:35:00

Very nice and interesting ambiance, with a good balance of graphics/audio/story. Some levels were a bit too tough for me (especially because of the strong horizontal inertia), but I liked it overall!

Make a game Game by Pacaco 2013-09-03T03:16:00

Very meta :)

GLITCH by TravisChen 2013-08-27T04:33:00

So that's what taking drugs is like, huuuuhh? :)

Nice ambiance and effects!

Urvas by mitkus 2013-08-29T15:09:00

Very nice and strategic roguelike!

Detective Awesomepants by xel 2013-08-27T09:39:00

Just 2 words : AWESOME and PANTS!

Pleading Rain by Brassawiking 2013-08-31T14:49:00

End F here :)

Very nice concept, the 10s feel reeeally short! I think I'm gonna play some more to see other endings...

Pleading Rain by Brassawiking 2013-08-31T14:56:00

Got the B too... wonder what the other could be (stats to feel like some Tarentino movie :p)

Clockwork Cat by patrickgh3 2013-09-07T14:02:00

Very beautiful and relaxing!

Inherity by foumart 2013-08-27T14:45:00

I liked the realization, but it is very difficult to understand the possible strategies. The result seemed pretty random, and I kept on trying many combinations, which kind of ruined the "strategic" aspect of the game.

10 second onsalught by wilbefast 2013-09-14T17:17:00

The game is a bit difficult to understand in the beginning, but after that it's interesting to have to "plan" your defense.

untitled no.10 (seconds) by Cosr 2013-09-10T17:28:00

Simple but fun. Not having the counter after 3 is a quite clever idea that fits well with the theme. I wish there was a CPU opponent though, because my right hand is always winning against my left hand! :p

10SecTD by joekinglake 2013-09-10T17:16:00

BRING IT ALL!!! Sweet little TD. The connection with the theme could have been a bit stronger, but the game is fun, and that's what matter most!

Royal Decree by darkshadow 2013-09-03T03:25:00

So simple and yet so funny! I congratulate you on your take of the theme, I thought it was brilliant!

Bug Buster by ConflictiveLabs 2013-09-04T17:49:00

Very cool graphics, and the replay feature is definitely a very nice touch!

Flooded Dungeons by ripatti 2013-08-31T15:12:00

Very fun and I keep wanting to go back to it after playing!

Get well soon by GSM Productions 2013-08-27T09:52:00

Interesting concept, but it's pretty hard to anticipate 10s of enemy movements...

The ambiance is incredibly well done, and I had to play in windowed mode instead of full-screen because it was waaaay too stressful to me :p

Nerv by arcticleaf 2013-08-28T15:50:00

Interesting game system and take on the theme. I liked the scenario writing too!

Decay by mamoniem 2013-08-27T04:45:00

404 error too here :(

Rick Rodo's Rival Restaurant Rush by TeamQuadratic 2013-08-27T04:20:00

Close-range spoooooooo~oon toooooss is quite cruel ><

Overall the gameplay feels a bit too rigid, but the presentation, and especially audio work (including the music!), is awesome.

Zombocalypse by paulfysh 2013-09-10T17:26:00

Good effort, but I guess you were a bit too ambitous :) Next time maybe focus on less features, but more polished? I liked the sounds quite much, though :p

IMPACT by ENDESGA 2013-09-03T03:28:00

Nice and well done!

Narcoleptic Chicken Kid by Lianne Booton 2013-08-31T16:23:00

Interesting concept and very nice realization!

The Stuffuv by roaet 2013-08-27T04:27:00

Awesome mood-setting here, and quite interesting gameplay concept. I really would have played more if there was more content! Good job!

Burrito Blaze by Skye 2013-08-27T04:39:00

Awesome intro, and quite addictive gameplay!

TIMEBUG by kbm 2013-08-27T14:49:00

Very nice and smooth ambiance (graphics and sound). The gameplay is interesting and the progression is smooth along the learning curve. If I had only one reproach, it would be that it is quite easy to win (finished in at my first try). Overall very good and polished work!

Total Spaghettification by unusualcadence 2013-08-29T07:50:00

Awesome gameplay! I couldn't stop before the end, and now I'm thinking on about only one thing: how can I beat my time?

I'd say the only weak part of the game is the (relative lack of) relation to the theme, but aside from that it's pure gold!!!

Total Spaghettification by unusualcadence 2013-08-31T14:44:00

I can't stop playing this game (down to 5:00...) instead of rating other entries, arrrrrgh!!!

Could we have a version without the random GC pauses? It's the only thing that's driving me crazy when trying to be consistent (and that will be necessary to beat the 4:30 mark...)

Potato Lagoon by rezoner 2013-08-31T15:44:00

I wish I could give 10 stars for the voice work...

PROBE TEAM by Andrew Shouldice 2013-09-04T08:53:00

Great realization and good gameplay. The take on the theme is simple but very effective!

Little Ninja Guy by rpistorello 2013-08-27T06:12:00

Good art, but like the others have mentioned it's quite difficult to know when you hit or miss... Props for 2-player mode though!

"10 seconds left, Mr. Pink Rabbit!" by Lightmare Studio 2013-08-27T15:04:00

Very very well done, sirs! This is very polished, hugely fun, very funny... in fact, I cannot see *anything* to complain about.

Special props for the voiced music, it is beyond fantastic!

Chrono Blood Ninja by theholychicken 2013-08-27T09:56:00

Very fun game with tight controls (important for this kind of gameplay), and it feels very good slicing your way through your enemies :)

10 seconds to die by mrcdk 2013-09-04T09:19:00

I'm coming for you, bad giii~irl!! (what, I've misunderstood the goal of the game? :p)

Exploratite Mitae by Lubial 2013-09-14T17:29:00

Very beautiful ambiance. I loved the stark contrast between the calmness of the environment and the constant stress of the gameplay.

Legend of Epikouros by Erhune 2013-08-27T08:26:00

Author here.

Thank you all for the nice comments!

During the contest, I thought a lot about a speed-up feature, especially because I didn't want to "waste" the time of my voters. I put it aside for 2 reasons: the obvious one being the time constraint (just having the real-time replay was still a big part of the coding effort), and the less obvious is that it would change the "taste" of the game. By that I mean that many parts of the level are design so as to give clues to what happen next, or hints on how to solve a future problem. Of course getting the hint or not is up to the viewer, and some hints have been skipped by the path choices so far, but that's part of what makes the concept so powerful I think. Anyway what's done is done, adding the feature now would be quite against the compo rules :) I might add a "total time so far" indicator though, because I agree that not knowing if you have to wait 1 min or 1 hour is not very fun when you are rating dozens of games.

@Nerlin > Send me your IP by mail/Twitter (my contact info is on the bottom of the game page) and I'll look into it. Btw I loved your entry! :)

@HeroesGrav > If you send me the details of the error I'll check what's wrong!

Holiday in Russia by Nerlin 2013-08-27T05:10:00

Very addictive gameplay!

Small gripe: the connection with the theme is quite weak IMHO.

Delayed by Jordo76 2013-08-31T15:27:00

Good take on the theme. Having to dissociate your thought between "what did I do and where will I be" and "did I did that correctly" was quite brain-intensive, in a good way.

Quick! Crook Faster! by Ossi 2013-08-27T06:28:00

Quite nice for a first try! The backstory was fun, and the game "plays" well even though there isn't much to do. Keep on going!

Section Ten by jordanbloemen 2013-08-27T09:28:00

Nice looks, and very humourous dialogue (big props to the guy that did the voiceover!!! you are awesome!).

Time Slime Arena by TomCooper3D 2013-09-03T03:49:00

Very nice concept and realization!

Once you get your magic level 40+ it's quite difficult to die, though :p

Atomic Warning by kleyson220 2013-09-03T17:57:00

Simple but with really well with the theme (and the news, unfortunately...).

Korn Land by GigaBass 2013-08-27T04:44:00

A bit frustrating (hitboxes should be on by default to understand what's going on, the player shoot could be upped in quantity and size, I think...), but you're forgiven for the awesome death animation :p

(Also, I liked the detail of the corn actually rotating when you move sideways... :p)

Hourglass by DoubleS 2013-08-27T04:12:00

The use of the theme is pretty classic, but the realization of the game is quite good.

The graphics and ticking sounds convey a nice atmosphere.

My main gripe would be the controls: for such tightly controlled movements, there REALLY need to be no inertia in the movements (since the game is made with Unity, I think just switching from Input.GetAxis to Input.GetAxisRaw would improve things *a lot*).

Lost Pixel by unitycoder_com 2013-09-03T03:21:00

Simple but VERY addictive!

Top down zombie Runner by supersammy7000 2013-08-27T06:30:00

Simple, good, but definitely lacks some "disturbing" element to spice things up (like obstacles, or things to pick up). It's a bit too easier as it is now.

Network Intrusion by vulpineblazeyt 2013-08-27T04:03:00

I admit I didn't really "get" the goal of the game (with the theme, I'd imagine I would have to complete the level in a limited time, but it does not seem to be the case).

Also, I don't have sound even though I installed OpenAL as per the instructions.

The game might just be unfinished, or I'm missing something due to the lack of sound?

I think there could be something interesting to do with this game mechanics, for example having to capture some exit points WITHOUT capturing bombs or some negative tile.

Maze of Torment by shard123 2013-09-10T17:37:00

This has a good ambiance, even though the collisions with the walls are a bit annoying sometimes :)

Yin: A Game About Happiness by Sanguine 2013-08-27T15:08:00

Cute and refreshing. Didn't see much relation to the theme, but I'm happy nonetheless :p

Space Sweeper by JoeDev_net 2013-08-31T15:32:00

Nice little game. It does not suffer from the common mistakes on simple shmups (inertia, very solid enemies...), and plays quite well.

Mr Moore's Last Seconds by Tainted_Code 2013-08-28T15:43:00

Very beautiful and emotional. The writing and voicing was top-notch, music perfect, really I cannot think of anything bad to say (even the length was just perfect to convey your message I think).

Robots Save the Day by udo 2013-08-29T17:04:00

Great puzzler!

Hyper Furball by DDRKirby(ISQ) 2013-09-07T14:11:00

Awesome intro! :)

Low Battery by RHY3756547 2013-09-03T17:49:00

A bit overwhelming and difficult to figure out what's going on, but also very satisfying gameplay, and quite awesome sound/graphics.

Tower of Wizard by KhaoTom 2013-08-27T06:24:00

Nice graphics and good concept. It felt a bit more "trial and error" than "thinking" but the adventure was pleasant overall. Good job!

Time Flies Straight by mrspeaker 2013-08-29T14:59:00

A very very interesting take on the theme, I commend you for that sir!

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Twilight of Humanity by wilbefast 2014-12-14T15:13:00

Hard, but interesting. The controls felt extremely smooth and interactions very natural for a compo game!

Final Swap by blackmagic 2014-12-19T04:00:00

Twintails ftw!

I found the selection had some quirks (or maybe it's just my brain not managing to make the difference between hovered and selected), but aside from that the game was very enjoyable, albeit a bit slow in the beginning....

Deja Vu by egos 2014-12-12T09:39:00

Simple but very enjoyable!

Fuckin'Dark ! by Tipyx 2014-12-14T13:20:00

Very nice, but quite unforgiving (the guy at the room all at the top is pretty sensitive... ^^')

Stuck In Space by BadPaul34 2014-12-09T16:26:00

Nicely done, sirs! The size of the ship and speed gives a very nice sensation of vastness, and I really liked the mood set by the graphics and sounds. And, well.... SPAAAAAAAAAACE!!!!

Defend Of Constructia by sapermysz 2014-12-09T16:29:00

Same as other commenters: I think this game is probably quite fun when you learn it, but the learning curve is quite steep. But interesting concept nonetheless! A bit weak with relation to the theme, though?

Super Death Grid Of Death (with deadly beats) by Stending 2014-12-23T10:06:00

Very nice and polished, and the "feel" on the music is really good! (and the music itself very nice!)

The Broken Seeing Glass by Linear 2014-12-12T06:35:00

The concept is interesting, but I couldn't get very far because I'm totally unable to play any FPS game without inverted Y axis. The mood of your game seemed pretty solid though, and the result quite polished. I was impressed by the "broken view" effect, looked really good!

An Adventure on My Screen by Erhune 2014-12-08T04:43:00

Croze > Thanks ^^

chaosed0> Yeah I wish I could have much less delay, but not much I can do unfortunately... :(

An Adventure on My Screen by Erhune 2014-12-08T11:50:00

MrPhil > I'm actually quite impressed you got to beat the boss!

No Space for Error by Kwask 2014-12-12T06:30:00

Ahhhhh, the feeling of a job well done...!

Sad Little War-Bot by sorlok 2014-12-12T04:43:00

This game was much more fun that what I expected from the screenshots! I loved the writing, the general pace of the game was good, the fighting mechanics were actually very interesting due to your bombs blasting one another... I enjoyed it very much until the end!

Le Voleur by LuisGuimaraes 2014-12-12T07:13:00

Great work, and very well-fitting to the theme!

oYo by TagliatL 2014-12-09T16:06:00

Very nicely done, but boy do I suck at billiards!

Snowball juggling Olympio by Benjamin 2014-12-14T13:24:00

Very nice! The game mechanics are simple but feel very unique, and the game is incredibly polished for a compo entry! Not mentioning the incredible pixel art!

Law Breaker by deepnight 2014-12-14T13:16:00

Incredible polish for a compo game! And very beautiful and fun, to boast!

Derelict by Justin Mullin 2014-12-12T07:38:00

Very nicely done, all the elements (dialogues, sounds...) contribute to a very interesting mood. It's pretty hard, though :p

Beats Me by Budda 2014-12-12T03:16:00

The level unrolling effect was very cool, and as someone who appreciate rhythm games I felt into good company. The constant tension between trying to be "on beat" and trying not to die was very interesting. Keeping this on my hard drive to play it again from time to time!

Catspoutine versus Evil Snowmen Army by MrMordem 2014-12-12T03:36:00

Overall fun! And upholding the universal truth: adding hats make a game more fun ^^

Crab with Tentacles by oinariman 2014-12-12T02:06:00

That was... unexpected. And interesting. I agree with others here in that the many hands were not *useful*, but boy they were fun ^^

Get the Snowflakes by joelthebergman 2014-12-12T02:59:00

Small and nice. Reminded me the swimming level on TMNT on NES, somehow ^^ (I say that as a compliment, btw :p)

Beams! by DiegoMustache 2014-12-09T16:14:00

I also has some problem with the arrows, but WASD worked fine for me. Very nicely done and easy to understand. Nice progression too. Of course a bit too short for my taste, but who *did* have enough time to make their games, right? ^^

Bernard's Tomb by anael 2014-12-14T14:07:00

Simple but neatly done and quite enjoyable. Nice mood!

Ripley by k8n 2014-12-12T05:24:00

Same as others: nice idea, but the implementation could be improved. But this is already quite good for making a game in such short time! Keep up at it!

Cuberot by guldlock 2014-12-19T08:58:00

Simple gameplay but very nicely done!

Game System by Catwheel 2014-12-12T08:31:00

Took me some time to figure out you could move between game without loosing your items. I guess I've been raised too well, and always turned off before switching games ^^

Good job finishing this game in 48h, that's quite a lot of different content you have here!

Tama by kill0u 2014-12-14T15:03:00

Very nicely done. I agree with some people here: games need more poop! (Ed McMillen understand that perfectly well!)

LiliLight by Carduus 2014-12-19T03:40:00

Very well done. I was impressed by the enemy AI, it's really well balanced between offense and defense!

CUBE Clicker by Polyganz 2014-12-13T09:01:00

Someone has played too much cookie clicker here ^^

Shifting Dungeon by codeapparat 2014-12-12T03:56:00

The room shifting was REALLY rice, so big props for fitting the theme so well! The fighting also felt pretty good for a game made in such time, good job!

Memories of Seasons by ncannasse 2014-12-08T04:53:00

Awesome work, Nicolas! I'm really impressed that you managed to put together this intricate story in such a short time! And what a mood! :*
