The controls feel quite nice on keyboard. :) Nice job!

The controls feel quite nice on keyboard. :) Nice job!
@plash: Thanks for the extensive list of notes. :) The power-ups (and 'next level' portals) get skewy if asteroids collide with them. At first it was a mistake, but I thought it looks rather funny, plus the asteroids can bounce the power-ups and the portals around. :) The music library is something I had to whip up on the last minute, as my original library didn't work as intended. Well, neither did this, and I'm both depressed and embarrassed to have such a low-level problem there. :(
Nicely follows the theme and the idea is quite unique. :)
This was something quite unusual. Kudos!
Awesome! Could've used some music, though. :)
I had no idea what was going on there, but I got like four or five levels by just leaning on space and jumping like a madma... er, mad robot. :)
This has a really sympathetic mood. :) I loved the help signs scattered around, really made the game take care of the player. Only negative thing was the music - only four seconds of music that loops forever. :D
I see you've played FTL, am I right? :)
Nice take on the theme. :)
Fun idea, but for someone not familiar with modular audio software, this may get a bit weird at first. Neat game, nevertheless, nice to see a music game. :)
Could have used some audio :)
I even opened to base image side-by-side with the game, but still couldn't get past the first one! Well done, anyway. :)
Somehow reminded me of QWOP, but this was a lot nicer one to play! :)
The distance doesn't reset between gameplays. A neat idea, although needs some polishing. :)
The controls are quite quirky, and the mouse clicking caused unfocusing a lot.
In its simplicity, this is quite soothing game. :)
Funky :)
The music gets quite annoying after a while :D
Other than that, a nice idea, but the implementation needs some rework, I think. It was kind of difficult to know what to do to make the people happy.
Super Meat Boy, anyone? :D
At least you took the theme seriously. :)
This was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I burst into laughter when the first level "boss" appeared. :)
Very nicely done, everything works perfectly, although the music could use a little more variation.
This was fun! Nice how the enemies are not-so-minimalistic at first, but then you turn them into squares. :P
This is neat :) It took some time to realize I was the small square, though the camera was me. :P
Fun, little game. Just couldn't hit the damn fly. :)
I like the visuals here, really fits into the theme. :)
I can't get it to work. Says something about parallel setting (or something similar, it's in finnish).
Sorry, I can't get it to run. It launches, but the screen stays black and it becomes unresponsible after a while. I'm using Windows 8 64-bit, if that's any help.
Cannot "insert coins" by pressing space. Running on Windows 8 64-bit.
Nice idea about rolling a sphere from a top-down view, but the execution needs a little tweaking. The theme was very difficult, indeed. :)
Original!
Kewl! This sure is minimalistic. :)
Nice approach :)
It doesn't launch. :/
I found this quite enjoyable. :) Well executed!
You may want to limit the fps, it's unplayable as I'm dead as soon as the game starts.
Crashes after the first "press any key to continue" screen.
Too bad you ran out of time. This has the feel that it would've been great if you had the time to finish it. :)
Messy, but pretty!
This was... weird? Is that the correct word? I don't really know. This left me quite empty-headed. :D
Nice mood here. :)
I spotted this yesterday in Reddit and got my hopes up. If you just had more time to finish it. :)
I'm not sure if the player was supposed to be able to jump mid-air, but nevertheless, nice execution. :) Could've used more levels, though.
This is quite kewl, got quite difficult when the second game was launched. :) So nice mood laid out with such simple things.
Very nice mood you've set there. :)
The devil in the end really got me :D
Right in the feels! Seriously though, such simple graphics and gameplay combined with the mood you set there... Really makes you thoughts wander. :)
This is awesome! Reminds me of Fez a little bit. Nice to play a game with such a good mood. :)
Cool execution, although I think I "broke" it - the enemies didn't come out from the hole, just stood there and my only tower killed them all. :]
Nice mechanics! Would make a great mobile game. :)
Awesome! So original and compelling. :)
As Cheshyr, I have XNA runtime installed, but can't get it to run. I think it might be better without the installer?
Give me pleasure! :D
Unusual, I must say. Got my first laughter when I accidentally "devoured the thing". I still have no idea what it was, but now it's in my stomach. :D
If there's something worth improving, it's the controls. The movement buttons could be in a grid or something, so it would be easier to sense the directions.
I'm not sure if this is "so bad it's good", or if I really liked it. :D
This was so cool, reminded me a lot of Skyroads. You know, this could make a great mobile game. :)
Couldn't make the long jump :P
Absolutely fantastic! From the first seconds onwards, I had a smirk on my face and I really wanted to explore around. This is a game I will definitely come back to!
I love the Sokoban / Adventures of Lolo feeling here. :)
Really mixed feelings. On one hand, it's quite original idea, on the other hand, I have this unnerving feeling. Maybe it's a good thing? :)
Other than missing win condition, this was quite nice. :)
noddy2006: http://www.makehuman.org there's a nice program for creating human models, if you need any. :) In my opinion, background music would not be that good, considering how much feeling the ceiling fan noise alone added. Are you going to keep a dev journal somewhere (tigsource forums etc.)? :)
Cute! The colliders were pretty large, so in some levels it was a bit tough to get through. Good job anyway. :)
Absolutely awesome work! The only critique I'd say is that the music goes a bit unnoticed back there, but other than that, really solid. I wouldn't be surpised for this to be the best jam game of all. :)
At this point, I want to say thank you to everyone who has played my game! Your heart-warming comments mean the world to me and make it all worthwhile. <3
@FrozenCow Wow, my exact thought about the blocks was "Hmm, it's a bit boring when the block just... falls." You're right, giving it a small 'pre-torque' would make it much cooler. Maybe in the sequel! ^_^
Great idea you've got there! I just got a bit motion sick there, though, maybe it's the bit too fast movement..?
I got some smirks out of it :)
This was cool! I'm not a big fan of Minecraft, but here, the Minecraft-esque look really worked. Also, killing zombies is fun, good job here! :)
I missed the point big time, and the game was a bit... err, "sloppy"..? It just seems that given more time, you could've done it much better. Keep at it. :)
Cool, but really difficult! I think I managed to get to the fifth level before I died. Don't have anything to complain, really solid work. Music would be nice, though, to complete the mood. :)
The cumulative timer is neat, but I think it makes the game a bit too easy. Also, you may want to swap the debug build to the release build. Anyway, good job, next time add some sounds though. :)
Oh, you son of a... Those bugs almost gave me a heart attack!
Really original perspective on the theme. :)
Really great idea, but I couldn't figure out how to change the weapons.
I wasn't such a big fan of the car handling, but other than that, I really liked it. It somehow reminded me of old NES games, was Roger Rabbit something like this..?
I hate to admit, but I played this for 30 minutes or so, got to level 79 and stopped only because my index finger started to hurt. :)
Well done, this is a good example of a game with just the core mechanics, plus something achievable.
By the way, the helper that says it costs 225 points actually costs only 200. :)
Congrats on your first LD! I really loved the main character's graphics, really cute :)
The gameplay was insanely hard, and I couldn't get really far. Great concept, however, this could be something big. :)
Solid work, I love how the physics are implemented. Reminded me of Elasto Mania a little bit. :)
The music could have used some variation, and I wasn't always sure about whose turn it was. Also, there was no indicator about who could do what (many times I tried to use magic with someone who couldn't do that), and I was able to attack the "dead" enemies.
Nevertheless, this shows effort and the FF-style fighting works for the theme quite nicely. Next time, I'd suggest to spend a little less time with the huge selection of characters and try to focus more on the smoothness of the game. Cheers! :)
The music and sounds reminded me of old Mario games. I think this would make a great mobile game. :)
Cool concept. I really couldn't read the black text on the dark-blue background there...
This was pretty cool, I love the way you interpreted the theme. Nice job. :)
This. Was. Awesome!
At first, I was a bit confused, but after 30 seconds (and a couple of murders), I fell in love with this game. This is so awesome, and the interpretation of the theme is really cool!
If you continue on developing this (and I really hope you do!), you can take the 10-second limitation out, maybe replace it by 30 minutes or something. Please, make a full-fledged detective game like this! :)
Like others have said, there's no connection to the theme whatsoever...
I'm getting the same MSVCP100D.dll error. Sorry. :/
I honestly didn't know what to do here. How do you beat up the game?
Also, the instruction text is FAST. I had to hold down R to get to read it.
I didn't really catch the point in here, I managed to collect all the coins, but couldn't progress to the next level.
The controls weren't that sloppy, though, especially if you've just learned about doing the collision stuff. Keep working on it! :)
Cool concept of the changing world. At first, I thought it was too easy, but in the end, it wasn't, and I don't mean it got too difficult too fast. It progressed quite nicely and became more challenging. Good job. :)
Nifty :) Couldn't find more than one clock, though... I got lost. :(
I liked the calm mood in this one. Really focused execution. :)
Awesome graphics, and I loved the (probably unintended) "You killed!" text. :D
Hey there dream team! I was waiting for your game to happen. :)
Awesome graphics, mood and finishing. Really detailed work! The theme wasn't that clear before reading through the text, though. Nevertheless, dream team -level execution, just as I thought it would be. ;)
Same thing as with the other guys. Self-extracting .RAR + installer = no go. Maybe just upload a ZIP with the executable?
This was pretty fun, I like how it doesn't end after the ten seconds, but gives you the possibility to keep shooting at mobs. Good job. :)
Pretty fun concept there, nice interpretation of the theme! I just don't know what happened in the end... :)
Awesome, I think that you nailed the theme with that two-player mode really well. Kudos! :)
Ow, my ears! :D
This was surprisingly original idea, and the first laugh I got this morning from the balancing joke. Nice job! :)
Truth be told, this could have used some graphics. I know there's a limited time and all that... And I would've loved to see the theme more involved here. Good effort nonetheless. :)
Congrats on your first LD!
The theme wasn't really there, and I had to read the first screen again to actually find out where the theme is. Nice job nevertheless. :)
Congrats on your first game! Really good job for a first timer, I must say. I love the walking hat character, really sympathetic. :)
Awesome to hear some speech! "Ze reason?" cracked me up. :)
... and even after a couple of university-level math courses, I still can't do math. :D
Congrats on your first game! Good job for your first LD entry, and despite the game was somewhat glitchy, it was surprisingly fun. :)
I suggest you to go through the code and fix all the bugs you have there, you will learn a lot more in that as well. For example, the collision boxes were quite a bit off, sometimes the bullets went right through the zombies and sometimes the bullet didn't "visually" hit, but it still killed them. Also, they got stuck behind the spawn point a couple of times. Minor things and simple to fix these. :)
Sounds didn't work for me (I take from OpenAL32.dll that there is sounds?). Nevertheless, 5/5 in innovation!
congrats on your first game! Solid work, keep at it and you'll do wonders. :)
Nice job! I liked the way the timer reset when you get to the blue thingy. A bit too short, I would've played this more. :)
I... didn't understand a thing. :D
Nice little "basic puzzle" you've got there. By polishing and tweaking, it could make a nice pastime. :)
Really original idea! I love this kind of games. :)
Nice job, the way the music gives the hint of the spikes is great. I couldn't make it to the end, got really frustrated after a while, sorry... :D
Awesome. I played this for a while with FrozenCow and a few others, and in its simplicity, this is great!
This was really great, probably the best so far! It wasn't too short, actually it was surprisingly long for a game made in 48 hours. Solid work throughout, I liked the atmospheric music, the sound effects were good, graphics were nice... Heck, there was no single thing I didn't like!
The puzzles required quite a bit of coordination, and usually lasers re-enabled themselves half a second after I passed them. It's not a bad thing, though; the frequent save points made it pleasant to fail and try again. :)
Really, REALLY weird game, but I loved it. :)
This is awesome! Although, I got stuck after installing a coolant system... Really solid work. I really like the modular design of the drill, making it all sorts of wonky when things are added. Props! :D
What? I mean... WHAT? This could easily give nightmares! Awesome work, really weird and cool. :)
Everything about this is really cool! I liked the humor all the way, nice "Happy Tree Friends"-esque deaths. Good job! :)
Could've used some audio. :) Graphics were quite good. The enemies stopped spawning when I just boosted my way to the right for a while. Also, if the energy meter reaches 100%, the cooldown graphic is not visible until it reaches 0% again.
Could have used some audio... Other than that, a really nice ultra-light-weight Terraria-esque sandbox. :)
I can run the game, but nothing happens, no matter what buttons I smash..?
@JavadocMD: If you look at the source (please don't, it's messy!), there's tons of code already written for repairing. :)
Could you provide binaries? :)
Nice work there. :) Could have used some "real" objectives, but I had fun digging around and then trying to get back to the shop as I had digged all the ground surrounding it... Duh. :P
I have XNA installed, but the game crashes right when I try to start it...
I liked this a lot, the simple graphics are nice and the controls are smooth. It's pretty difficult, though, had trouble getting very far. :)
Great interpretation of the theme, plus, I liked the way you had to change between the two forms to complete. Some parts were really difficult though, requiring really fast swapping, but still, it was nice to play it. Good job!
As already said, there's not much in terms of gameplay here... Also, for those who have SSD drives like me, the pictures seem to be stored on C drive, which I was _not_ OK. You should change the folder of the images to the same folder where the game is, just to save our precious SSD's. :)
This was heartwarming :)
Awesome! I really enjoyed blasting the living crap out of those bats. :D
Nice, calm mood :) Good looking game, I liked the relaxed feel it had.
Fun concept! It took me a while to understand the mechanics, but luckily it was pretty straightforward. The graphics are nice, reminds me of the very first games that incorporated 3D models. :)
I love the overkill choice of engine! The looks are awesome. :)
Not technically a game, but... It was quite original, I have to admit. :p
Solid! It's been a while since I played a game with this kind of orientation (probably the last one was Solstice on NES), so it got me a while before I was able to navigate. Cool concept!
Solid work! It's a small, simple game, but polished. I like that. :)
Cool idea you've got there! The controls felt a bit "off", though. The various mechanics (electricity, buttons, boxes etc.) were a nice addition. Nice job. :)
Great job! The only critique I thought of was the lighting mechanic and the slow movement of the dude. Other than that, Nice work. :)
Solid, simple game. Although, I didn't really see the theme here? Are they underwater..?
Cool concept, now for some game content. :)
I enjoyed this throughout the game. The choice of the lighting engine was nice, and the controls felt good. Solid! :)
Nice concept, however the controls were a bit off. Mining sideways was problematic, it took me five or six times longer to mine a block sideways than it did mining straight down...
As already mentioned, the first room to the east is broken. Other than that, an interesting approach to the theme. :)
Pretty original take on the theme there! The graphics are nice and minimalistic, which I liked. I didn't really understand if there's differences between love, music and nature or if I should sometimes use one instead of the other, but all of them seemed to repel depression so... I'm not depressed after this one. :)
The game loaded for AGES, I was already writing a comment without rating to say that, but just before I sent it, it finished loading. So, if others have the same problem... just wait. :)
The controls were pretty confusing, I didn't really know what the things did. In the end, I didn't enjoy playing it as much as I probably would have if there was more feedback and help. That said, you should definitely continue working on this, the concept seems really interesting. :)
When trying to launch the game, it gives me an error: "Could not find the main class: ca.cognizantgames.desktop.DesktopLauncher. Program will exit."
First off, the game crashes if you flood bombs! Other than that, nice game. The theme is not that clearly visible in this one, though. Audio is fine, and graphics are good enough. Solid. :)
At first, I thought I understood the game, but as I progressed, I found that I didn't. The sound effects were waaay too loud compared to the music. Also, I tried playing it on Chrome, but the "CLICK to start" didn't work there. Firefox handled it well, though. :)
Awesome work! The graphics and the handling was cool, and the whole concept is really original. The sounds were a tad off, but not that much. Solid work throughout!
PS, nice to see another guy from Finland here!
The wiener is you! Nice job, although I had hard time aiming...
As already mentioned, the theme is not that clear in the game, but what the heck. The concept is quite nice, although I got a bit frustrated ramming into the turrets and waiting for the robot to heal. Music would've been nice as well. The font you used was really straining my eyes, and overall the graphics "flickered" somewhat, probably due to nearest neighbor filtering and slightly scaled textures..?
Nice work! At first, I didn't really get what to do (I thought I had to control the miners), but after a while I got the hang of it. Commence slaughter!
Nice take on the theme, reminded me of Lemmings games. The interface was kind of messy, though, and it was really difficult to see what the actions were about. Keep working on this, though, this oughta be fun!
Pretty cool concept! However, I couldn't figure out how to press the red button in the second room...
This is pretty fun! I love the NES feeling throughout the game, being a retro-game fanatic. :)
Solid work! It took me a while to notice the 'shop' button there, and almost didn't defend the first wave! Keep working on this as you intended, it'll be good. :)
Plus, if you're interested, I made a tower defense game as well, I'd be happy if you'd check it out. ^_^ It's right there -> http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-29/?action=preview&uid=11177
This was quite nice, although it had the same problem as "Ray Hey Hey": aiming to the hoops is rather difficult, as it's hard to say when the surfer and the hoop line up. Other than that, pretty solid work!
This was... a bit weird. I didn't find anything to do. Also, as the game is in full-screen, it should feature an exit option. As of now, I had to alt-tab my way out. :)
That was awesome! The sounds reminded me of Rayman. I almost screamed at the people on the island: "NOOO, you idiots! Don't go there!!!"
Awesome to see some ASCII games here. :) But in the end, I was left to die in my cell... :/
The theme was not very visible here... The graphics were awesome, but it lacked on almost every other aspect. The demons didn't damage me, the platformer physics were a bit off... Keep working on this, though; this can become something really cool once you've got all bases covered. :)
I liked this :) It was pretty chaotic at times, but it was quite fun. I liked how the different things required different controls, air pump was probably my favorite!
Great concept here! Solid work. :)
Creative concept :) The controls were rather difficult, it took me several tries to pickup items. I didn't get any shade done, baaah. :/
As with awanegenebayo, I get the error "Could not find the main class: net.lsrp.ld29.Game. Program will exit."... :(
Pretty fun :) Would probably work on mobile with some slight alterations and additions!
Nicely done, I like the "duality" of this game and the interpretation of the theme. The audio was REALLY loud, though!
Very nice little game! I'd love to play this on my phone, would control nicely as only a single touch would be needed. :)
Here's some of my notes I wrote while playing: I liked the background story thingy in the start, and as an RPG guy, I enjoyed the occasional radio messages (although the one that appears when you enter the giant crab cave disappeared in a second and I couldn't read it...). The graphics are decent; at first, I didn't enjoy the look, but as I played, it kind of grew on me and felt quite nice actually. The combination of top-down and sidescroller was a cool addition, kind of reminded me of old Zelda games. The jumping physics really make you feel like you're underwater! For a game made under 48 hours, there's TONS of area to cover, which is amazing.
Lack of music and sound effects (there was a few, though) were probably the biggest downsides. I felt that the green missiles were a bit overused, and while they weren't a real threat in any part of the game, they made me feel stressed out throughout the game. To further increase the feeling of being underwater, a blue-ish hue all over the screen would have been a nice addition..?
All in all, I enjoyed playing Divernaut. The looks and sounds are not that polished, but it felt and played very well. Good job overall!
It's an interesting concept, keep working on it. :)
I got frustrated pretty quickly while browsing the crypt. Also, I didn't really understand the function of the subspace mechanic...
Congrats on your first entry :) I had hard time figuring out what to do...
The digging mechanic was pretty cool! Other than that, the game was really short... And it could've used some audio. :)
Extremely difficult, but also a very original concept!
Nice lil' game there! However, the game crashed after destroying a cannon that was not visible on the screen...
This was really cool! The animations and the switching mechanism were really sweet. The only thing I came up with that could make it better was if I could see a bit more of the level at once - it'd make the puzzling a little bit easier. Anyhoo, solid work throughout, good job!
I enjoy computer trading card games (Hearthstone, anyone?), and I found this game interesting. However, I couldn't completely figure out how this game works. I placed some cards, beat some red thingies (?)... This probably could use a tutorial or extensive instructions. :)
I liked the controls and the animations a lot. The graphic style was cool. I roamed through the entire map. :)
As you already inted to continue on this, I'll just say... Do it!
Cool puzzle game, really enjoyed the concept! For those who can't run this on Chrome, try another browser instead. Every Unity game so far has not responded to input on Chrome, but they all have worked on Firefox. :)
Nice job! I enjoyed the concept, however I didn't really understand what's the idea with the rotating world..? Plus, it's a bit too easy, as I can just scatter the unfitting pipes all around the map. :)
Cool concept, although I couldn't figure out how to get past the spike field in the first level...
I get "Error: Could not find or load main class LD29-Return To The Surface.jar" when trying to launch.
The "Press the Button To Try And Not Die"-button does not work. :/
I liked it, had to play through both "endings". :) The controls were smooth and worked just like I wanted. The puzzles were nice, and most sounds were sitting there quite well. Overall, nice job. :)
I don't know what to say :D The controls were a bit iffy. The game is... absurd, is that the right word? Let's go with absurd. I liked the doodle-y graphics, though. :)
Nice concept, but FPS was about two or three while playing in Chrome.
Super Meat Boy, anyone? ;)
Nice job, really polished. The controls were a bit slippery, though.
While trying to run the Windows version, I get an error: "File 'main.py', line 13: if not pygame.font: print 'Warning, fonts disabled' SyntaxError: invalid syntax" and there's a little arrow pointing to the "'" after the world 'disabled'. Hope this helps.
Doesn't work, I get the control instructions with red on the screen, with FPS of five. Nothing happens after that.
Great looks and such, but the gameplay lacks something... As it is, there's very little challenge.
This was pretty nice, although a bit too easy. :)
Cool concept, although the controls were extremely frustrating... Couldn't get all the orbs. :/
"Could not find the main class: Starter. Program will exit." I get this error when trying to launch the game...
I get some shader errors: Fragment Shader: ERROR 0:1: error(#397) Illegal escape sequence. I'm trying to play it in Windows 8.1 if it helps.
Got 600 points... Baaah! Nice work there, it's a pretty difficult game though. The sounds were nice and graphics looked good. :)
Nice, smooth lil' game. I liked the interpretation of the theme. :)
I was wondering... Why QZSD instead of WSAD?
Cool concept! However, you should hide the mouse cursor, as if it goes outside the window, it'll unfocus the game when you try to throw a ball.
It's rather cool atmosphere when you start reaching higher and higher, glowing cubes rising slowly... :)
Nice lil' digger. Could have used some objectives, though... Also, the first time I went digging, I mined like ten blocks and suddenly I got this "end of level" counter thingy. This never happened after this one time..?
You can pretty much fly through the levels if you move a block you're standing on. :)
The electricity(?) shooting off the 'moles' was just... wrong. :D
This was awesome, I liked the atmosphere. The music was awesome, reminded me of gnomish music from WoW. The graphics were nice, although animations would've been appreciated. There's also some bugs: I was able to levitate in multiple places by holding space down, and I had to stop playing because when going to a room, the player character never appeared on the screen.
Keep up the good work! :)
I tried to complete all the levels, but couldn't. How many levels are there? I got about 45,000 points before I quit. :)
The game was a nice, simple puzzler. I wonder if the levels were supposed to repeat - sometimes I got the same level three times in a row. I did however notice some progression in the levels as I kept going.
Also, the way there was some story in the first couple of levels reminded me of my own LD27 entry, which had a similar story system. :)
This was a nice little sandboxer. I liked the graphics and the animations of the tank. I drilled around for a while, but couldn't find any gold, though... :(
Sogomn: if you're using Windows, try running it from command prompt by java -jar <name>.
@anserran: Thanks! And nope, it's not box2d-lights. Check the "Lighting.java" file in the source; it's just 16x16 sprites with alpha adjusted. :)
Nice Asteroids-spirit there. :)
I liked the Commodore-esque graphics here! Well-wound package all the way, a nice take on the tower defense genre. :)
The game got really laggy towards the end, framerate dropped to about one or two. Possibly something to do with the GWT build?
This was quite interesting. I couldn't get more than three planets connected, though. I don't know if it's intentional or not, but at times I would collide with the planet I just left and return on it. At one time I got a bit stuck this way. :p
Heya! I liked it, although it felt a bith glitchy at times, pretty much the same issues others have reported. Other than that, I think this could make a cool little mobile game. :)
Absolutely love this! The learning curve is smooth as heck, and the puzzles get more and more interesting. Such a simple setting and so much variety in the puzzles. Kudos!
Solid work. The difficulty could be a bit higher, though. :)
The bug should be fixed now!
Thanks everyone for the comments. For the complaints of the theme: an "unconventional weapon" can also mean a weapon of mass destruction as noted in the description. As my interpretation, this game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. Who said the theme has to be a quirky weapon the player uses? :p
This was pretty fun! Awesome graphics style. :)
This is actually a pretty fun idea! I've always love speed typing, and learning it with the usual software may be rather boring. This, on the other hand, could make it fun for someone!
A side note, though: I'm writing on a nordic layout keyboard and couldn't press the ";" key. Just a minor nitpick. :)
Cool twist on the theme. I liked it. :)
The third level got so difficult I couldn't get past it. Other than that, this was actually pretty solid one!
Nice twist on the theme. It took me a while to get that it's not the middle of the shadow but the middle of the looking glass that burns the enemies. :p
I think the game doesn't really need the enemies. It would be better without them. :)
Nice take on the tower defense genre, mate!
Nice take on the tower defense genre. :)
The idea here is pretty unique, I like it. It took me a little while to understand the concept, but in the end, it's a pretty nice little game. Could work as a mobile game too!
The controls are a bit wonky, I couldn't really jump anywhere. The idea is solid, just needs some polish. :)
A hilarious interpretation!
Nice job! The graphics were a bit inconsistent, the player was done really well, but the enemies were a bit "meh". Nevertheless, I liked it, and played through the whole thing. :)
This was actually a pretty cool little puzzle game! Would work perfectly as a mobile game. :)
I like the music, it reminds me of the old Duck Tales games back in the days of NES. :)
Quirky twist on the theme! I like it, although it's rather difficult. :p
Nice job for your first LD! Could have used some music and sounds, but other than that, solid for your first game. :)
Eerrrr... Yeah. Not much to say besides that. :D
Pretty cool gameplay!
Congrats on your first LD game, both of you! A nice concept and neat graphics, but really difficult to play. :p
This had some real potential, I liked the idea very much. However, it was pretty jittery and there were many graphics missing.
Really cool twist on the theme. I like it!
I set up the equations, but after the fifth one, the game just froze. It looks interesting, tough!
This was probably the most awesome athmosphere so far! I instantly felt like I'd love playing a game that felt like this, and even though this was not completed, I enjoyed it quite a bit! Please, do a full-length adventure game with the same mood and humor and you'll be a millionaire. :D
Nice little game. :)
Rather difficult, but a nice twist on the theme. :)
Ha, the first game to make me smirk! Absolutely brilliant. :D
Nice take on the theme! It's surprisingly easy to learn, even though it seems difficult at the onset. Nice job!
Awesome! I really liked this. The only thing is that the beat goes off sync after a while, making it more difficult to actually "play in rhythm". Too bad the gorgeous graphics of the space ship are not in focus since you have to keep your eyes right on the button row. :)
Hey there, fellow racing game creator! Nice job there. :)
Nice! The player's collision against the obstacles is quite a bit too sensitive and got me killed a few times. Otherwise a solid entry!
Hey there, fellow driving game jammer! Nice work there. :)
Nice job, although I couldn't really see the theme there..?
Pretty nice! The movement is a bit wonky because of the momentum, but other than that, the idea and execution are quite good. Difficult as heck! :p
I couldn't figure out how to make farms, my people kept dying... Other than that, nice work!
The game is unplayable for me. After it's been running for a few seconds, the screen goes gray and I can't click anything.
Cool entry! One question though: is it possible to hit enemies without getting hit yourself? I seemed to always get damage when trying to hit them.
My graphics card makes the wonkiest of sounds while playing this. :p
Nice job there, although I accidentally killed most of my trees...
Nice job overall! It's a tad quirky here and there, but good work. :)
Neat take on the theme, although I'm not sure if there was any difficulty per se here. There was an awful lot of money all the time. :p
Awesome! I grew up with C64 and this really brings back memories. Nice touch with the TV effect there! :p
Really interesting take on the theme. I have to give it another go at some point - I'm a bit too tired to really comprehend all the depth this game has. Nice work, nevertheless!
Nice work! It's a bit Starcraft-esque tower defense. It's rather difficult at first, but when you get the hang of it, it's quite a bit of fun. :)
The gameplay was really... weird. I couldn't really figure out what to do or how things work.
Nice music, reminds me of the old circus game for NES. :)
Really cool concept and interpretation of the theme! Quite difficult, though. :)
Awesome! I love the graphics style, so minimalistic which brings its own funny things (like carrying a huge-ass key over your head :D). Nice job overall, just could have used some music. :)
Nice procedural generation! The tree got so big I couldn't see it anymore, though... Solid work!
Very nice work! Played through a few levels, killed the eye boss... Almost forgot I should play other games as well! :D
Really cool idea! The camera movement was a bit wonky at times, but other than that, this is awesome. Really original concept. :)
Like yumaikas said, the controls were really something you don't see that often in these kind of games. Nice work!
Like others have said, the concept is nice, but the game is way too hard to be enjoyable. Nice graphics, though!
Well done! Reminds me of the intro scene of Battleblock Theater. Really cool graphics style. :)
Nice job! There were some bugs here and there and it was a tad difficult to dodge the items. Good work nevertheless. :)
This was interesting, I like the mini-game scheme and how there's multiple ways of incorporating just two buttons. Nice!
Welcome to Ludum Dare, congrats on your first entry! Nice job overall, nothing too exciting, but a great start. :)
Grats on your first game! Nice work. It's really hard, though. :p
Nice job! The movement was a bit wonky at times, but all in all it was rather enjoyable. :)
I like the idea of changing the controls. However, it was barely playable for me since the icons were outside the screen as I played in windowed mode (probably fixable by playing on higher resolutions..?).
Difficult, yet enjoyable!
Nice idea! Couldn't find the odd cube, though, and the game crashed when I tried to restart it (graphics driver crash).
Really nice interpretation of the theme! I'm a big fan of puzzle games, and this really fits the theme nicely. The graphics and audio are a bit "meh", but overall a great job!
Got really warm feeling while playing this, I liked it. :) Nice graphics, and kudos for a fellow libGDX user!
Nice job for your first entry! Nice work. :)
Nice take on the theme! I like the Lost Vikings -styled switching between two characters. Well done!
Nice job!
Ha, nice take! The controls were a bit non-responsive at times, pressing too fast caused sequences to be missed. However, good work overall!
With polishing, this could make a nice mobile game! Good job. :)
Fun take on the theme! I actually thought it's bad for you to get angry, and then realized it's the goal. :p
After I start the LD34.exe, I get a dialog with japanese text all over it. Sorry, but I won't touch that!
An original idea! Took me a while to understand what's going on, though. :p Oh, and the leftmost and the rightmost buttons get cut (are not visible on the screen), don't know why that happens.
Awesome graphics and mood! Reminded me of Rogue Legacy. :)
This was really awesome! I enjoyed every last bit of it. The controls were done really well, and the graphics are breathtaking. I just couldn't save the forest. :(
Nice idea, however where's the theme..? All in all, nicely done. :)
Really awesome take on the theme! Took a while to really understand what's going on, but in the end I really enjoyed it. Could have used some spooky music, though. :)
Played it to completion and enjoyed it! At first it felt a bit odd, but as I progressed, I didn't mind anymore, and really wanted to browse more. :)
Doesn't work; openal32.dll is missing.
Pretty cool idea! I had trouble going through the first time since I didn't bother reading the instructions, but I did get the hang of it. Nice overall. :)
Nice game! The bottom shape was a tad difficult to spot at times since the shapes in the UI were overlapping it. Other than that, really solid entry. :)
Nice lil' puzzle game, great twist on the age-old game. :)
Awesome! Really played well on the touch screen. My only complaint though is that the music kept playing even when I quit the game. :p
I liked it! The graphics are really good, and the music - while a bit repetitive after a while - is quite well done. I didn't get quite far, but I might give this another go after work today. :)
Really awesome work! I couldn't yet figure out how to get pass the 6th floor, though. The graphics are well done and all in all it's really nice game. :)
The graphics are really good, nice. :)
The controls are a bit finicky, but the idea of four types of shapes is cool. I kinda hoped they had more distinct roles, but can't really get all that in just two days. :) Nice job!
Solid job, and quite a nice take on the theme! I did however give up on the ninja stuff and rampaged my way through. :p
Really solid entry! My only issue was that it was difficult to see what it was that damaged me. Other than that, nice entry throughout!
Nice concept, although it was really short... And I couldn't really tell what was the next shape when I pressed up or down.
The most enjoyable game so far! I really like the execution, and congrats on your first ever LD!
Pretty neat concept! Didn't have anyone to play it with, though. :p
Nice job, I really like the animation between different forms. :)
The controls were a bit non-responsive (at least on MacBook Pro + Chrome), so I didn't get very far. It's a rather difficult game, but on the other hand it's a pretty personal take on the theme. :)
This was a really nice game! Took me a few tries to connect them all in the pre-designed level. Could be taken a lot further and developed into a full game, especially for mobile. :)
Nice work on your first jam! And feel free to fix the bug, it's allowed if you don't change the gameplay. :)
The graphics are really fitting to the theme (if you don't count the red UI text). Somehow the low frame rate works just perfectly here! Nice work. :)
This shouldn't be so addictive. :) I didn't gather enough wheat, though. I've got to try it a few more times!
@steph88 Thanks! I added the game to the site, feel free to include it in the video. :)
@lb1s Thanks! Feel free to tweet me @dManabreak if you wanna chat about the source, I'm more than happy to share my thoughts. :)
...whoops, typo'd your nick, @Ib1s :D
Congrats on your first jam! I have to disagree with other commenters - the game didn't seem too difficult. It could have used some graphics and audio, but given it's your first time, let's have it slide for now. ;)
I'm pretty much aligned with the previous commenters. The graphics and the core mechanics are nice, although there is some room for fine-tuning. Solid work throughout. :)
Nice entry! I took a quick spin through it, but couldn't figure out how to fix the engines - nothing happens when I press E. The computer console thingy works, though. Anyway, graphically this is a solid entry. :)
I immediately recognized your entry from the preview screenshot - I loved your LD34 entry, and I just HAD to try this one out as well...
... and it was awesome! I'm a huge C64 fan and just love the commitment you put into your entries to make them really C64-esque. Great job!
Nice work, fellow libGDX user! Really solid game throughout, the graphics are nice and the gameplay too. At times, it was a bit difficult to see what's happening, and most of the time I tried to change items with number keys instead of clicking them. Good work!
I think you've mispackaged your game. When I try to start it, I get an error saying the data folder is missing.
Perhaps not the smoothest game in the jam, but damn if it wasn't laugh-out-loud funny when I started playing it! Really personal take on the theme, and I'd really love to see this taken further. :)
Nice work! The controls feels really good and it's solid throughout. The only issue I had was that sometimes while sprinting the jump wouldn't work, although it played the jumping sound. Other than that, solid entry. :)
Thanks for trying it out, guys! The key spawning bug is something I encountered as well, but couldn't figure out why it happens. You can still complete the levels, though! The keys that you can't pick up are simply left-overs from the previous levels.
Loved the mood here, it felt almost like it's an intro sequence to a larger adventure game. Nice job. :)
@3mpty Thanks for the lengthy comment! Yes, the mechanic has some issues and if I were to re-do the game, I'd definitely do some changes to it. I'd really like to push the idea further without doing dual controls, just to to see what could be done. :)
Level design-wise, I initially had a longer corridor in the first level, but it was really cumbersome. Such a tiny play area requires certain design, and I'm glad to hear I managed to accomplish that - at least to some degree! I think a slightly larger box could be better, and combined with new mechanics like wall jumping and elevators / moving platforms could make it even more interesting.
It was quite difficult to figure out what you're supposed to do and how to build stuff. I ended up dying before I could get anything done. :/ The mood was cool, and with a little bit of more instructions, this could be lots more fun!
Nice work! Got a bit repetitive after a while, and was quite short, but nice work overall. :)
Very cool take on the theme! Took me a while to figure out what I'm supposed to do, but after the light bulb moment, it was a nice little game.
Lol... I love how you had to stifle a laugh with some voice-overs. Good fun! Although, the goat is a bit disturbing...
Nice take on the theme! I couldn't finish the rocket in time... The water effect was pretty cool. :)
No control issues here either, played on Firefox. I really like this one, and it was the first one to actually hook me for playing. Difficulty curves nicely, and with some more action-y music and faster gameplay, this could be a hit!
This was really fun! Very well done with the platforming. I enjoyed trying to speedrun the levels, and the fast reset times really helped that. Died a thousand times, but finished the game. :)
This was lots of fun! Could use a bit more variety, but as a LD game, it had enough of it. :)
Top notch graphics! I actually had a similar idea originally about a backpack / inventory that only can fit a certain amount of items, glad to see someone actually doing it. :)
I don't know if there were any audio, at least didn't hear any...
One of the best games so far! I really like the puzzles, and I could imagine myself being immersed in this game, playing on my phone all night. Awesome work!
Very interesting gameplay! I messed up a bit with the resources, but with polish and maybe a not-so-limited space, this could make a cool space exploration game. Could have used some audio. :)
Awesome take on the theme! I finished the first level purely by accident, because I didn't grasp what I was supposed to do. After that, it became more clear, and the last level was a real brain tickler. :)
The only issue I had was somewhat laggy effects when they loaded for the first time. I guess that could be handled with preloading the scenes, if you didn't already do that.
The sounds were probably the best thing in this one, had a good laugh! Nice work. :)
Nice take on the theme :) I think it could benefit from some kind of fail state, though.
Somehow this gave me a King's Quest vibe. I think something like this could be expanded into a politics simulation game. Nice work! :)
@meepster Thanks for the kind words - Music is always something I want to really invest time in, glad you liked it. :)
@ilinx Oh, crap! Sorry about that music bug. You win the boss by dropping the stones on it, takes six hits. :)
@rolly Thanks for the lengthy feedback! Yeah, the third spell is more like an upgrade to the first one - perhaps if there were more levels before acquiring the third spell the first one could have more uses. Welp, that's all I could do in the time frame.
@josang1567 @worldofmush @ilinx @leozero @meepster @james-7777 Thanks everyone for playing the game! I made a quick post-compo fix for the floating Ribbit text and the intro being played over and over again - the way I intended it to be, had I had just a teeny tiny bit more sleep.
@olddog You can use the gravity swap to walk on the ceiling and drop stones on the boss. :)
@kanity Wow, thanks so much! I didn't think of anyone following me for my LD games, but I sure am glad you did. :)
I've been continuing working on this game, and chances are I'll make it a full game. I'm scrapping the stone spell (at least for the most part; perhaps I'll leave it as a boss fight mechanic as it seems quite fun), and overall revamping the spells and such. I've already introduced stairs, coyote time, bridges... Lots of stuff coming for the full game. :)
Nice to see 3D games here! The rotation point was a bit off; I had to imagine the player to stand a bit to the right and down from where it actually was. Also, the goblins sometimes spawned on the other side of the door, but I could still whack them through it. :D
Nice to see a character graphics game! This was quite fun, it took a few tries to get past the latter puzzles. Nice job!
Top notch art and theme execution! I was a bit confused about what the goal here was - or rather, how to get forward. Had to peek at the walkthrough at one point, but solved the rest of the things myself. Really well done and polished, kudos!
This was like playing a web comic - and I enjoyed it throughout! Couldn't keep myself from smirking through the first few minutes, and the boss fight... Oh man. Absolute legend.
Fun take on the theme! Something very calming about directing the eggheads to the correct floors. Nice execution, though it could use some more goals. :)
Heeeeey, I beat the game - *DUN DUN DUN DUN* Heeeeey, I beat the game! Absolutely amazing game, took most of my lunch break with this. I love you included voice acting, and the end music was the chef's kiss. :)
I love these Pico-8 games. :) Nice little game! Had a bit trouble with the cops where they ate the donuts and immediately rushed back towards me - had to be a bit more creative when getting away.
Vampire Survivors LD! Nice job. I ran into a bug where if you're invulnerable, you can't pick up the summons. Other than that, solid work. :)
Reminds me of an old C64 game called "H.E.R.O.", which I loved as a kid! Completed the game, and enjoyed every bit of it. :)
Gorgeous graphics! Reminded me of the Trine games, especially the first one. The difficulty curve ramped up quite steeply after the first few levels - it could have used a few more "tutorial" levels before bringing in the big guns. I also had some (unintended) fun with spamming the bouncy summons in tight corners, which caused me to fly across the sky and reach places I probably shouldn't be reaching.
There's something I really loved about this game! Maybe it's the little kid who summons the forces of evil to wreak havoc. Despite being quite simple, I played this until my fingers started cramping up. Loved it!
Ooh, I liked this one a lot. Reminded me of Jagged Alliance, and I'm a sucker for turn-based strategy / action games like that. Nice work. :)
Nice work! Was the music done during the jam, too?
Nice Vampire Survivors -like. :) The spellcasting was done nicely, I like how it slows down to allow you to cast a spell. Great work!
Took a while to understand what's going on, but in the end, I made it to the paradise! Nice touch with the old Finnish mythology stuff. :)
Somehow this game combined the nostalgia of old Commodore 64 games with the nostalgia of old PSX games. Took me a try to figure out what to do, but then breezed through the levels. Nice work. :)
Cool mood, and amazing take on the theme! It took me a while to get the jist, but it sure is a nice game. I think the pins bugged out a bit; I got more pins as I played, but never got to use more than three of them. Or maybe I missed something? Anyway, nice job. :)
My ordinary Friday night  Nice job on this one! I think I found a way to cheese it, by placing the shields in a circle around the bed and then placing the cannons in the middle.
Nice work! Original take on the mechanics, I must say. Something like this could be a fun mobile game!
Collected all the stones! Nice little game. :) I managed to get pushed inside a house at point and could clip through the buildings - I guess this was just a tiny bug there.
@pe7e Just drove around inside that one building. Whenever I clipped back, I got damaged.
Nice take on the theme. :) Managed about 70% accuracy for the most part and summoned myself some new familiars.
I didn't quite understand what to do here... It's cute, though!
Very cute! I also like the puzzles. The first few got me thinking that this would be a really simple puzzle game, but when you introduced the combinations, I was proven wrong. Very nice job!
Fun little, err, toy..? Wouldn't call it a game per se, but played around with it a bit. Love the graphics. :)
Cool concept and nice take on the theme! There were some issues where the character would move twice when I pressed the movement key just once, and got a bit disoriented with the camera angle. Other than that, I enjoyed this one. Great job!
I'm not sure if there was a bug in the summoning or if I just misunderstood, but it seemed to be quite random when I was able to summon things. I think this is promising, though! Keep it up!
Nice idea for the compo! Kind of like a memory game. The timer got pretty short quite fast, but I managed quite a few rounds of the five-ingredient orders as well.
Your itch.io page is flagged for suspicious activity. :/
A bit confusing start, but after a few tries, I figured it out. Only a very talented baby make a compo entry like this on their first try :)
Phew! Got all sweaty playing this  Nice take on the theme, and the spellcasting mechanic is pretty cool. Good job!
@milq Thanks so much! Yeah, I probably missed the loop checkbox before releasing and haven't had time to fix that one - so I guess I'll let that one go for now. :)
I wrote the music in Psycle (a tracker like Impulse Tracker, but has modular synths), and then exported the raw tracks to Cakewalk for reverbs, mixing and leveling. I really like the bass sound myself too, it was a happy accident!
I've been fiddling around with the idea of making a full game from this - it would work both on desktops and on mobile, so that's a plus. Just needs pretty much a full graphics overhaul (I personally don't like the pixel art in this one, but that's just the route I took for the compo). I imagine the graphics could be reminiscent of Ghibli films, with parallax layers, and perhaps the gameplay itself would be a combination of just exploring and solving some (physics-based) puzzles.
@milq I also use Linux as my daily driver, but I still have Windows in dual-boot for music stuff specifically. AFAIK Psycle is "somewhat discontinued"; there has been some attempts to refresh the project, but the last time I tried it was very unstable.
I'll probably use Psycle until it stops working :D It's so intuitive, fits my work flow very well, and the built-in Blitz synth is so versatile that it's the only synth I use nowadays.
Funny stuff! Took a while to get the jist of things here, but it was quite amusing. :)
Looks nice, but I couldn't figure out how I was supposed to defend the base. My guys didn't shoot or do anything, and a doctor I placed just kind of glitched, perhaps trying to navigate to the point I clicked?
Like others said, fun little game! It's surprisingly tugh, I didn't beat any rounds :)
Damn, this must be one of the best LD games I've played. Despite it's simple looks, it's a really fun puzzle game. I can't really say anything bad about it, everything ties up together perfectly. Nice job. :)
Wow, I really like the idea! Solid execution, and there's lots of room for strategizing. Amazing job!
Awesome work! The start was a bit slow, but after gaining access to the blue upgrades, it really brought the big guns. :) Survived for almost ten minutes, have to try this again!
Nice! The font was a bit difficult to read, and the sounds got a bit jarring after a while so I had to turn them off. I also accidentally closed the game a couple of times as I as moving around with WASD and the tutorial told to press CTRL, so naturally I pressed CTRL + W which closed the tab. :D Anyway, a fun concept, I liked it!
Super cool! I loved playing this kind of games as a kid. The controls were a bit awkward, perhaps a twin stick style would have been more suitable? Anyhow, I enjoyed this thoroughly. The first level was quite easy, but the second one gave a real challenge. Awesome!
Solid entry! Now my index finger hurts from all the shooting. :D
Cool vibe! Played a few levels and it was solid. At first I thought the game was lagging, but then after reading the comments I realized it was a slow-down mechanic. :D
Solid work :) I couldn't really keep up on who got damaged on enemy's turn, and at times there were texts like "x defeted" but didn't see anything happen on the battlefield.
This was one of the best so far! Everything ties up so neatly, and I had fun beating a couple of waves. I like the simplicity of the gameplay - it doesn't always have to be complex and multi-layered for it to be enjoyable. Very good job!
Being the impatient player I am, I had some trouble understanding what's happening. After a while, I finally understoond the idea. Solid execution, fun stuff. :)
I like the way you interpreted the theme! The game got a bit buggy at times, though... Some levels completed with the nanobots far away from the goals, I don't know what happened there.
Nice work! It was quite challenging to beat the waves, and took a few tries to figure out a good starting formation - which is a good thing! Quite often, these games end up with being far too simple, so it was refreshing to have a challenging one. Everything tied up nicely here. :)
Awesome shooter! I was surprised to see a boss there :D It was quite easy to beat the game, but I enjoyed it thoroughly. Solid entry!
It's a nice concept! I think you could start out with a smaller set of microbes and grow it as you progress through the levels. Then again, it's a compo, so time's limited to do everything. Good job. :)
Nice! I had a bit of trouble figuring out how to command the bugs. Through trial and error, I managed to bump the key off the rock, but I just couldn't figure out how to make the shinies to move around in the darkness. One of them moved at some point as I clicked around, but no idea what I did there. Cool looking, though. :)
Like @thomas-bringer said, it was not very clear what to do. Also, I don't know if it's a bug or what, but the camera seems to rotate to right at constant rate. When I tabbed out and back in to the game, it stopped, but when I clicked back to the game, it started rotating again, making it quite unplayable for me. :/
Like others said, it's a cool concept that really could be developed further. I was a bit too lazy to look at the stats so I just randomly made armies, and won each time. :D
Cool game you have there! I enjoyed the initial two rooms the most, checking out every bookshelf. Reminded me a bit of Stardew Valley and the junimos. :) My only gripe was the tiny viewport - with a large screen, I had to lean pretty close to see. Perhaps a 2X scaling would have helped here. Anyway, nice job. :)
Always fun to play games like this! Was surprised to see the bigger mofos after a while. Nice job. :)
Nice work, although I couldn't quite figure out what caused me to win the game. :)
It was quite difficult to understand what to do. The art style is unique, but it's hard to discern things and what they're supposed to do.
Haha, fun take on the theme! Didn't quite understand why at times my score went down and at times went up, but had fun squashing some... things? :)
Somehow reminded me of old Commodore 64 games! The concept is very solid here and I had fun playing it, although the execution might be a bit janky at times. I think storing the coins should bring some benefits - I didn't quite see how it helped. Anyway, nice job, I liked it. :)
This was a clever take! Fun little game, solid execution. Nice job. :)
Nice work, a nice VS clone. :) The particle effects work fine when running full screen (it's a Godot thing). The jankiness is probably due to not preloading the particle effects (my game has the same issue) - other than that, it all works fine in browser.
@clintor24 Hmm, did you try to reset the level? The rotation code is a bit wonky, that's why there's the reset functionality. :)
@jeffez Thanks for the feedback! I actually thought about the colorblindness aspect, but didn't really have time to tackle that anymore at that point.
@lightningst Thanks for playing! I actually ran into the flip issue once during testing, but couldn't reproduce it or figure out what was causing it - probably something very simple that I just missed. It's also 100% possible that some rotations or solutions are visually ambiguous - again, I realized the difficulty of designing the puzzles waaaay into the compo, so I had to wing it a bit. Glad you made it to the end, I was worried that it would be too difficult.
@p1x3lc0w @jcmonkey @tasakasama About the slow text: That's pretty much done on purpose. Game design wise, I tried to lean into this dystopian organization "lifestyle" where employees are nothing but pawns. In addition, I want to promote a bit slower way of life - modern world of constantly refreshing content has led to shortened attention spans among other things, to the point where people are incapable of reading books or watching slow-paced movies (or playing slower games). I understand if this goes against the grain for you; There are other good LD entries for you to play instead.
To everyone: Thank you so much for your kind words.
@OadT Thanks for playing! It might actually be a bug - some other player mentioned that despite being correct, the game didn't recognize it as correct until swapping it back and forth. Perhaps it's a rounding point error or some other minor thing I missed during the compo. :slight_frown:
@designernap Don't sweat it, even I had difficulties with some of them (and I designed them!) 😅
A bit on the difficult side, but solid entry nonetheless. :)
Lovely interpretation of the theme! I got stuck quite early on in the game since I couldn't manage to jump and switch the layers at the same time (I assume this was the intentional way to go?). The music tracks of the different layers remind me a bit of old Monkey Island games and the way the music changes when you enter and exit buildings.
Nice work. :) It got a bit slow after a while though, and I'm not sure if the levels were meant to repeat?
This was a fun take! Oddly satisfying and chaotic, really well executed. :)
Mortal Wombat! I mean, Combat Wombat! Fun little game. :)
Nice work and original take on the theme. I liked the puzzle mechanic, just wished there were more levels / puzzles. :)
Oh no, I'm a green thingy now!
Nice work, was pretty chill experience digging through the green stuff. Gameplay-wise, there was quite little there, but as a compo game, I'd say this is on the par - solid execution is always better than half-assed bucketload of stuff. :)
Got a jumpscare when I ran into the minotaur  Cool twist on the theme!
Solid entry. :) I think I got a bit stuck after collecting all the fossils in the dirt area. How do you dig through the stone?
This was captivating! Minor nitpicks: The electric boxes can be "activated" multiple times, so you lose crystals easily by accident if you tap E when standing near an electric box. Also, I felt that accidentally walking into the darkness ending the game is a bit unnecessary.
With all that out of the way, this was eerily satisfying. I especially loved how the rhythm formed into music as I progressed through the tunnels. Well done!
Awesome, two games for the price of one!
I really enjoyed kicking satan's ass. I love the way how the platformer performance affects the shooting levels. I ended up dying multiple times in satan's basement, and started to sweat ("oooh shit, I'm going to have a bad time in the next level!"), which is super cool, mechanics-wise.
All in all, a super solid entry! If I were to nitpick about something, perhaps I'd put the jump button somewhere else - but maybe that's just me not being used to jumping with W / arrow up.
I think this game could benefit from some instructions. I didn't understand the mechanics and ended up randomly doing things.
Also, the flickering background is something that might be problematic for people with photosensitivity issues (myself included).
I had to squint a bit to see everything there - I couldn't enter the fullscreen mode, probably because of the ISO / Nordic layout I'm using. If you could add another way of entering fullscreen mode, I'd love to give this a second try since this looks awesome.
That said, the graphics were quite reminiscent of Inscryption, which I liked. I also enjoyed the mood - it's a cohesive whole. Good job!
The mood is pretty good, but like @jk5000 said, the texts disappear way too quickly to read them. Also, I'm not sure if it's my monitor or what, but mostly it was so dark that I couldn't see anything. Would love to give this another try if you can drop a post-compo build to slow down the texts. :)
Promising entry! I don't really have anything to add to other people's comments - there was a lack of feedback so I couldn't really tell what I did or if I did good or bad. The UI was a bit confusing; I guess the "left" button wasn't a button at all, but a label for the current view? I was also a bit confused by the multiple, contradicting lines told by the suspects.
Paid my debt! Nice little game, although gameplay-wise there was very little challenge. Perhaps this could be developed further with different ores and tools?
Nice work! Played a few rounds and was entertained for the whole time. Well balanced all in all, gameplay was not too hard nor was it too simple. Kudos!
Absolutely awesome mood here - even though there was no sound, I was reeled in right from the beginning. This kind of gameplay could very well be worked to something big, something like Disco Elysium where your actions make difference. I imagine you could make moral choices by talking to people, outing others, praising some... This is gold!
My satanic squirrel is now pleased with their unholy tree of nuts! Kudos. :)
Super cool! I like the subtle rotation the character makes as it jumps  The only thing that bothered me after a while was the camera shake, but it's probably just me (I suffer a bit from photosensitivity so that might be it). All in all, very well done.
Super cool take on the theme! I didn't have time to gather all constellations, but got at least Ursa Minor. :) Very well done, didn't see any bugs and there were cool little things in there like shooting stars that made this feel very polished.
Absolutely awesome concept! I really like the idea of collaborative puzzle solving. I started from the very beginning, if someone wants to continue from here, BT4IOLLL is the passcode.
By the way, I guess this shouldn' be happening? Näyttökuva 2025-10-06 111737.png
Awesome little game! Graphics and music were phenomenal. For some reason, arrow keys didn't work for me, so it was a bit awkward playing with WASD controls, but other than that, I managed to complete the game. Nice work. :)
Oh my... I had my 10-year-old son next to me as I launched this one, and needless to say, we laughed until we were crying. :joy: Oh, also, I got under two minutes in time!

I think we need to get this going on speedrun.com.
Nice job! I didn't quite get if the blinking had a real purpose or not
Took a while to understand the stat block, but now I get it - it's the sides of a d6 laid out, and it describes the character's dice, right? Like for instance, the spider had a die that has just 2's and 5's. After I got that, it all made sense  I think this game has potential!
The graphics are just fantastic, but I couldn't really get a good play going on. Everytime I tried, I got stuck on the first stone outside the spawn point. Also, there's some stretching happening in the main menu with an ultra-wide screen, but that's a teeny tiny nitpick and an understandable thing to overlook when doing a jam game.
When the theme was announced, I immediately thought of Katamari Damacy - nice to see someone do just that  Great job!
Umm, what are you supposed to do here? The bunny (I presume) disappears immediately when I move.
I like the take here! Took a moment to realize how the game works, but ended up playing quite a few rounds. Noticed some minor bugs here and there (artifacts could be bought even if I didn't have enough money), but nothing major or game-breaking. I didn't quite understand the colored boxes above the enemies - were they their damage types or resistances / vulnerabilities?
Anyway, good job here. :)
Nice work! I played through the ghost one, but the other two were somehow botched so that I couldn't click all the things on the screen.
@kanity Thanks so much for that lengthy write-up! I'm glad you liked it. This is very probably going to be a throw-away compo game, but I kinda get what you meant by the feeling like there's some lore there. Hmm... Maybe it could work, though? A self-depreciating blob adventuring through a limbo world filled with eldritch horrors?
Absolute banger! I saw the post you made about the game and was instantly hooked by the looks. I'm yet to complete the game, but I'll soon get back to it. :)
The music tracks are great, the graphics are nice, and the game plays very well. You've got helluva lot of content done in that short period of time!
EDIT: Completed! This was an awesome game!
Best game so far! And I think the most frustrating :D I really loved how you handled the, umm, turban cat? Anyway, the enemy that steals you bananas. It's way more fun this way than it would be if it was just a one-shot kill and restart.
I may have to come back to this later on and tackle the rest of the levels!
This was fun! It had that childhood bicycle adventure feel to it. I glanced over the instructions too quickly and didn't realize you need three scans before you can find the transmission, so I ended up cycling around the neighborhood for a good while. :D
Pretty fun! Truth be told, my kid just got a very similar handheld memory game gadget that I have played with, so I had the competitive advantage :D
Nice take on the theme! Granted, I didn't get anywhere in it. I think I knew at least some words, but couldn't apparently match them correctly, so I guess I was way off. I may have to come back to this at some point. :)
Awesome work! The frontloaded instructions felt a bit overwhelming at first, but it was pretty intuitive once you got to play. There's definitely something worthwhile here if you're going to continue working on it. I'd love to see it themed in a WW2 or cold war era style, with accepted and rejected messages affecting something outside your bunker. Cool game all in all!
Cool! I was just a bit too tired to play this one and gave up on the second level. :D The wires were a bit wonky to attach, but it was just enough fun that it didn't really bother me. Nice work. :)
I'm with @tolviere on this one. I didn't quite catch what the emotions did. Also the graphical style is probably not for me, but I can see some people might like it. :)
This really tickled my puzzle-loving brain! I've never seen such a game before. I think this kind of thing could very well be developed into a larger "something is out there" game. Although, it may be a bit difficult to some players who are not familiar with things like pulse width, modulation etc.
Anyway, I really enjoyed this one. Nice!
I agree with what other said, nice work and despite being very simple, the the game seems quite polished. Nice!
Lovely style and fun idea for the theme! Truth be told, I was more intriqued by reaching the game over state than successfully reporting stars and whatnot. :D
While I agree with @tolviere here about the lack of player agency, I loved the atmosphere! Now, I'm not entirely sure if the game was playing me or if I just was very forgetful, but I'm 99% sure I did the correct thing with the bathroom light multiple times and it was wrong each time. :D
A nice example on how very small things can create a tense vibe.
This was super cool! I love the idea of telling a story via a single device (I'm actually prototyping something similar outside Ludum Dare), and it creates a nice possibility for immersion. The gameplay wasn't too challenging, but had enough variables to keep it interesting. Nice work all around!
