Awesome, two games for the price of one!
I really enjoyed kicking satan's ass. I love the way how the platformer performance affects the shooting levels. I ended up dying multiple times in satan's basement, and started to sweat ("oooh shit, I'm going to have a bad time in the next level!"), which is super cool, mechanics-wise.
All in all, a super solid entry! If I were to nitpick about something, perhaps I'd put the jump button somewhere else - but maybe that's just me not being used to jumping with W / arrow up.
This was really awesome! The blending of the top down and platforming sections was really well done, I was really trying to speedrun to make sure I wasn't stuck in the gauntlet too long. The game feel was super crunchy and satisfying too. Art, sfx, mechanics, this was great across the board. Nice job!
Really cool how this is split into two different genres and feels pretty natural. Both parts of the game are really fun to, the platforming feels especially nice (I will adore any platformer that gives me a glide. Nice visuals, great sound, I love that impactful crunch when you die. Really awesome, I like this a lot!
That was awesome! I had a blast playing that. The humor was on point, as well as the level design and difficulty. The platforming felt really good as well. Honestly shocked how many levels you were able to put into this with amount of time you had. I spent a good half hour playing it and nothing felt repetitive. Satan at the end was a good challenge and it felt good defeating him. Great job!
Amazing entry! love the feel of it- and enjoyed both play styles the same! great job!

Nice game! Really like the pixel-art and the sfx (o゚▽゚)o
Everything - The gameplay, the art, the sounds - was awesome. It really tested my greed - On one hand if I platform faster I need less time in the gauntlet, on the other hand if I platform faster I die more often setting me back. love it

Nice game bro. Satan fight was was fun. The control scheme was really annoying though, using w to jump and space to glide just felt off. I think it would be possible to combine those two keys into one.
Nice art as well. Sometimes I wall textures misaligned though.

Great game, has potential to be a full release. Insane for a compo. If you told me a team spent a month on it, I would've believed you.

You've done a lot of stuff, man! It's fun to combine the two modes of play with time. I can only marvel at how much work you've done. I love your game, bro.

Really polished and well done, short and sweet but plenty of variety even in terms of gameplay with the back and forth platforming/bullet hell sections. Each was done very well and everything felt pretty smooth to play, especially dashing around in the combat sections.
I would have loved to maybe see a little more challenging platforming or more communication on weapons/powerups in bullet hell, but thats just nitpicky and the fact this was done in a mere 48 hours is amazing. Great job!

Nice gameplay wwith great production quality. Pleasant pacing, I have finished to the end, with use of checkpoints of course. Clean design where level is easy to read. Controls requires time to master, but there is plenty of space to avoid obstacles. Nice patterns of boss attacks.
I think it would be more convenient if gliding and jumping were on the same key
Up being Jump really messed with my muscle memory, but a really hard platformer and bullet hell!
I absolutely loved this game, the art style is beautiful and the gameplay is super satisfying. The writing and story were also very entertaining and really tied the game together. It was such a blast to play through!

got stuck in the one part in the mushroom area where theres only left wall mushrooms and bottom mushrooms. no matter what i did i couldnt get up *shrug*.
Nice game, simple graphics but they work really well. very good polish, didn't find any bugs or glitches. audio was simple but wasn't really noticable, in a good way. I don't play platformers that much so the very first obstacles took me an embarassingly long time to pass.
Fabulous! I really like your graphics and music, and the final game is unbelievably clean. I just downloaded your source code, hope I can learn something from your remarkable design and implementation.

@haokai-xu-1999 thank you so much! Uh the code is pretty messy and 90% spaghetti, just a warning XD
I genuinely have no suggestions. This game is awesome. The graphics are incredibly, the audio is fantastic, the game feel is insanely well done. Tying the platforming time to the shooter time is an excellent concept, and thef act you managed to polish what are effectively two separate games is incredible. Most deserved 5 stars I've ever given.

wow, really solid entry. Amazing that you got so much done in two days (a two-game-in-one as well!). I loved the visuals, the different attack mods. the boss fight was really challenging since it's hitless. My only issue is I kept wanting to jump with space key and I would've preferred using a controller over keyboard for platforming, but those aren't really issues if you keep working on this (please do). Well done!satan.png

Really great game
Solid game, I quite like the duality of the amount of time it takes to platform being the time that you have to survive, and the powerups picked up acting as checkpoints in the shooter was a nice touch. Your graphics worked great, sound effects made everything feel solid, and the boss had a bunch of attack patterns. Really the only thing that did not work great for me was that space did not also work to jump, the first platforming level took me way to long as I tried to get my brain to use space to hover but not to jump and the up key to jump but not hover. Aside from that minor mental remapping this was pretty much perfect, great job!
Best Game I have played yet! Really cool! The Top down shooting part felt very smooth. I gotta take some inspiration from that!
Slick! cool combination of platforming and top-down shooter. The weapon switch mechanic is actually really smart aswell! Audio and visuals where awesome aswell.
Guess that means its def a really good entry
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! I PLAYED FOR OURS OPUN OURS. BRUH SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SIGAMA
Wow, two games in one! So if I understood things correctly: the longer I took to beat the platforming part of each level, the longer I had to last in the bullet hell part? I really like that idea, though it didn't seem to apply to the endboss. I liked the addition of powerups — I bet there's a whole lot more you could do with this idea, tying the timing of one performance to the next. Well done!
