Distressing Depths by pcholt 2025-04-07T13:41:45Z
Pretty cool! I like the aesthetics and the store, and the theme is used well. Is the bottom left part reachable?

Wow, really impressive! There's a lot of content, exploration is fun and the graphics are super nice. Great job!

Wow, a really solid game! The atmosphere is great, I love the fact that you can customize your character, and the automatic combat mechanic combined with skills made the game surprisingly deep! Great job!
Really nice and atmospheric! I wish there was a monster or something like that.
Awesome, thanks for creating this audiovisual experience!
You create art. King of rat game.
Pretty intense! I managed to get two boots, the key and the bombs but then ran out of oxygen.
Really good graphics! I wish there was more variety in the gameplay but still a cool project.
AXEEEL!! The game is cute and fun, I wish it was longer. Also the music is really nice!
Fun game play, nice graphics and catchy music! Great job!
Changing depths is a cool idea and I think it's pretty well executed here, even though switching can be a bit frustrating sometimes. But the visual effect is cool and it was definitely fun to play!
Lovely graphics and nice atmosphere!
It was a lot of fun trying to figure out all the endings. The little minigames were a really fun addition!
Super cool auto-battler! It's fun to see the parties explore the dungeons, and the upgrades are interesting. It would be great to have some kind of time restriction or challenge though. Now it's easy to just grind unlimited money (and eventually break the game).
But overall the game is great, good job!
I really like the vibe of the game. Good job!
Really cool and enjoyable! I love how little it makes sense, yet it's very fun to play. Great job!
Very nice! I really want to know what happens at the end!
I really like the music! And great job for your first game!
Super easy to pick up and fun to play! I wish the difficulty would ramp up with time though. Anyways, a solid jam entry, good job!
Wow, what an emotional journey! I was pleasantly surprised with how insane the game was. Great job!
I really liked this game! The gameplay is fun and feels nice, and the animations are great!
Phew, that was some intense jamming, but I'm super happy with the end result! Maybe I'll release all the art assets for anyone to freely use later.
Thanks @lazyanttu, good to hear you managed to pay off your debts! I'm afraid the heart thing might be a bug, unless you were fighting the dragon.
@lazyanttu Ah okay okay, that is a "feature" that only happens when fighting against dragons. They instantly kill you even if you have hearts left.
@elzach Haha thanks! The soundtrack was actually the first thing I made for the game!
Making music is probably my weakest game dev skill, so it is often easier to first make a song, and then build a game that fits the vibes, rather than the other way around! Sounds crazy, I know, but it works for me!
Thanks everyone for your amazing feedback! It means a lot to me!
@radonkalmor You should be able to turn the game full screen on the itch.io web version, or by downloading the windows version and pressing alt+enter!
@naks Haha yea sorry about that! I love using GameMaker for game jams, it's so good at rapid prototyping pixel stuff. But I doubt anyone can understand my jam code in the first place
Wow! I really love the graphics and the game feel! Great job
I definitely didn't expect that gameplay after the cutscene, but I really like how hypnotic the patterns are!
