very unique concept you have there. Maze in a circular shape. Very unique.

Nice work! Really fun core loop and a clever take on the theme. Had a great time playing through it! Left my scores. Greetings from the Meow Bomb team — if you're looking for more games to play and rate, come check out our bomb-crafting cat!

This is so cool! The circular display is a brilliant idea, and building a whole set of games around it is really impressive. Amazing work!

Really unique game, unfortunately for me at least, I get very motion sickness from it, so I didn't play much. But I really like the idea.

This is wild! It's like it activates a different part of my brain. Awesome idea!

level 1: my score is ~30 sec, is it a skill issue, or is the level infinite? (or both 😭 )

level 2: made it in 5:13. I started losing hope, man these circular mazes are insane!

level 3: score is 2:24, I wish I had ability to fire at enemies with L

level 4: this is the most unfair level due to rng. You literally have to predict future or be super evasive and be more than 1 line away from other cars

level 5: this one was way too easy, especially compared to others. I made for 0:22

Overall it gave me vibes of Super Hexagon, and level 5 reminded me of Resogun. Cool engine, cool ideas, I like it, but some levels are really difficult.

Very cool concept. The continuous zooming took a while to get my head around but it was rewarding when I figured it out.

Really cool tech. Though the games are quite simple but fit the theme of old tech well.

Since the games are so punishing start really fast it took me many tries to even know what i was suposed to do, or what my character was initial though when i tried the first game that i was suposed to use the cursoer somehow :D.

I wonder how would playing doom or something like that with the projection work. I know there are some games that have the 360 view but have not seen it done this way.

Out of all five levels, my favorite is definitely the second one! It's not too difficult, so I could just relax and enjoy the completely new experience created by those unique visual effects.

The other levels felt a bit too difficult and fast-paced for my taste, though.

That being said, I'm a huge fan of your creative vision and the way you approached the game! I'd love to know what inspired you, and especially how you managed to create those amazing visual effects!

@neeko69 Thanks for the feedback, good to know some people get motion sickness from these games. Must be the rotation.

@bentootoo I was inspired by a demo of the Ventilastation (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoFkcZeGjOQ). I will do a technical write-up later, explaining how I made these effects. In short, it uses a regular rectangular playfield with seamless wrap-around left-to-right, then the playfield was transformed into a circular shape by a fragment shader.

**Such a great concept!**

I love how the graphics look, and it was fun navigating through familiar games with such a unique twist (no pun intented).

I feel like the 4th level can be a little unfair, because the enemy cars change rows after you've already locked in the line, making it impossible to dodge them. My (not perfect) solution is to make more individual sectors for better maneuverability (e.g. 6 instead of 4), but that might make the game trivial.

Overall, good job!

The visuals immediately reminded me of Hitchcock’s Vertigo. This is also the first game since The Witness that has made me feel dizzy, but I mean that in the best possible way! The gameplay is really engaging and requires my full concentration.

I wonder if this sense of dizziness is something could be the narrative naturally comes with circular gameplay, as you explore in your description? Of course, I imagine the effect varies from person to person.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the feeling of being drawn deeper and deeper into a seemingly endless spiral.

Super cool concept, I think I would've loved this more if you had really polished one of the modes instead of offering five crazy unique concepts but had a fun time regardless!

This is a lovely experiment and I can definitely appreciate the outside-the-box thinking here. As others have said, very unique concept. The visual effects the sphere creates are really interesting, I wonder what other types of gameplay could exploit this presentation technique? One of my favorite things about game jams is that some folks will show you something you'd never have thought of and I love that. A memorable entry for sure, congrats!

This was a frustrating and headache inducing, yet still weirdly captivating and fun experience. Reading the screen becomes considerably difficult with the circular rendering, which might be a bit too much for some of the more fast-paced action games, but works well as an interesting extra challenge for otherwise too easy games such as the maze. Even though the frustration made the gameplay a mixed-bag for me, the atmosphere and mood is great and captures that old-school arcade vibe, but with a (literal) twist. For an experimental jam game this is a wonderful entry!
