LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Pixel Repair Agency by KirLosev 2024-10-08T08:14:01Z

As others have said tutorial would have made it more clearer. After quickly scimming your text i got the idea but missed out that i had to get the most broken pixel which confused me. I really like the buttons and filters and stuff but using them felt little clungy. I would have had more fun if it were like more fast paced kill all the dead pixels, not like super fast but faster than the murder mystery wibes you went with. Really nice looking presentation!

Silk & Snare by MartensCedric 2024-10-14T10:23:16Z

Really nice webphysics and mechanic. Got a nice chuckle at the dying cutscene. The gameplay was generally nice but was little random. Some spider animations would have been cool to have, like spinning the web on the flies and then devouring them.

Slime Store Simulator 2024 by gamesplusjames 2024-10-08T09:10:37Z

Super nice, franticly thorwing the bought smlimes into the enclosure is funny. Only thing missing is the dialogue system where you need to recommend the color of slime to the customer and talk about what food should you feed to your pink slime :D

Hare Rescue by FTZ 2024-10-14T17:01:22Z

No audio kinda lowers the mood of otherways so nicely presented game.

Game was little hard to undrestand at first and i had to check some clue from the comments what i was suposed to do to proceed, after exploring the map. I think onehit death kinda punished from experimenting with the worlds creatures which lead me to falsely only trying to avoid them. Maybe clearly showing some interaction so the players will realized to experiment how the world works.

I really like the concept and you could easily expand it much further with more creatures, interactions and levels.

Tiny followers by PatBGames 2024-10-15T15:05:19Z

Really nice idea! Reminidng me of trying to manage pikmins that follow me and then mercilesly letting the slow ones drown when they decided to take shortcut into the water. This game went with little more cozy management :)

The character controller is little floaty to me but i can see its necesary for the kind of level you had time to make. With some more mechanics and puzzle this could easily be expanded into a nice puzzle game.

The lack of audio hampers the otherways cozy and cute mood. Even a single audioclip could have brought the bouncing critters to so much more living feeling.

Overral really nice job for compo and nice game.

Critters, Conjure, Cannonade! by PureGarlic 2024-10-08T08:53:41Z

Really cute audio really makes the creatures feel alive. The concept is really nice but i didnt have that much patience to try to undrestand and test each combinations quircks. Physics are really funny and work well, the little jumpings of the mass is 10/10.

Squabble Snooker by bzoo345 2024-10-14T10:14:38Z

Got 31 score. Little static but throwing the ball and trying to aim was kinda fun with the extra challege of off-axis position of the ball. Your ingame "tutorial/guidance" was nice since it was pretty fast to get what i should be doing.

Tiny Aliens by GreatVV 2024-10-14T10:43:25Z

Okay concept and you really use the core mechnic creatively. I kind stuck the wall with the clearness what to do couple time which made me quit. At first i missunderstood the mechanic as to drag to creatures away from the field on the positions and then was little confused on the human level why its not letting me pass even after draggin the creatures away since i did not drag them in the pattern. I think its mostly on me thinking the game was more simple than it was. After i finaly understood how the game really works it was enjoyable. But then got stuck in the level where the 2 guys are locked in place and im suposed to place 1 guy in pattern, or break the rules somehow?

The art and wibes the game sends are nice but even though the mechanic is "simple" but there is not that much feedback on how well you are doing.

A Flicker In The Dark by FreshD 2024-10-14T17:16:41Z

Really nice atmoshpere, too bad there was no ambient audio becuase you set the mood so well visually.

The mechanic was super cool at the start but quickly started to become a chore to move the escaping bugs. Dont know if "pushing" or "pulling" was better. At first i though the map was circular and i was confused why there is nothing happening after i light up to lamp xD.

I really liked the only vague help there was for this minimalist game.

It's A Bees World by Trusty 2024-10-15T15:51:43Z

Really nice and complex idea for the jam game. Since RTS is kinda complex and hard genre and some small things missing really lower the experience easily. I can really see the goal you were striving and the base is there. I expect you had ideas for more complex building with adjency bonuses etc since the hexagonal hive structure really allows that.

As its current form its little annoying to play with bunch of clicking and no way to delete buildings? The combat mechanic is little vague could i even try to kill the bird or is it just there to be tried to be avoided?

You have alot of nice things that make the game more clear but as its so complex there is always something missing but as i played more I kinda started to understand it more and hows it should be working. Missing the drag select kinda bumbed me out at start but then realizing that optimal start is to spread out the workers and not spam them into single flower helped a lot :D.

Too bad i didnt get to see the large hive since my camera bugged or something at middle hive phase and i could only see brown when outside :(

The grahpics are nice and expecially the buildigns really have style!

Guzzling Ants by Paul-Maxime 2024-10-15T15:14:45Z

As an ant fan this was a nice game though as it was an iddle game it wasnt that interactive. Why did you have to limit the ants :(. I wanted to see my browser freeze from all the ants it could handle xD.

The graphics were nice enough and the spiders feel alive expecially when looked from afar. I liked to color more since it brough nice constrast.

The one thing i most wanted was you to implement a proper ant colony optimization algorithm and see the ants create and travel their own paths and finding food. (Ofcourse you have time for that right?)

Joking aside the idea is there and the grahipcs are nice. Only thing the game was lacking is more depth but simulating the ants on my other monitor while playing other games netted you most time played of the jam games :)

Moon Picnic by Fractal 2024-10-14T21:43:09Z

My bigges complaint about the game is that it was TOO SHORT since i had so much fun playing it. Best overral jam game i have played so far.

The difficulty curve felt little weird to me since the levels actually got easier the more power ups and i would liked to have stronger enemies or something. The 2nd ability was useless to me and i mainly used the basic click and bomb. Freeze is way to long for the cd it has.

To me it felt little like a rythm game since getting to groove of tapping the basic attack to the music was really satisfying and efficient strategy. I would have liked to have keybidings for abilities since clicking the ability always ruined my tempo and flow.

I thought at the start that the critters ate the food and and the health bar was how long i had to defend. I realized my mistake of sometime wondering why nothing is happening even though i keep smashing these bugs and realized i had to destroy the nest.

The repairing of nests is really good mechanic to the game.

Pill Sub by Nikolas van Rus 2024-10-14T10:56:48Z

Reminds me of barotrauma with trying to keep the ship intact. Little hard, but i expect with more play it would be easier. Simple and efficient entry for Jam and could be easily expanded with more mechanics.

I disagree with others that the inputs should have been hold, but you should give more feedback and make the spamming feel more rewarding, or let us hold the button :D.

The ship could have been little more easier to visually navigate or if you wanted to go with the "you must learn the ship" maybe have different sized ships. I also would have liked to have maybe "empty" rack/s in the ship to make the swapping the tools mechanics more clearer and for more options for strategy.

Pigatomic by sami822 2024-10-08T09:35:45Z

I dont know what unique mind had the idea of you story but the wibes are cool XD. The atmosphere is really cool between dreamy and funny. The gameplay mechanic is simple and works, but it took some time to understand whats going on and notice the hint in the menu.

Fish Fighter by Str8griz 2024-10-14T09:57:29Z

Really nice looking and feeling sounds and art. Throwing the bait is little hard to get it fly far. I kinda cheesed it throwing the bait and then walked to the other side of the pond which dragged the bait where i wanted :D. I like the pokemon battle idea but it felt little lacking of variety/clearness what is happening, was there types? Also since this mimics the pokemon game i would have liked it more if there was somekind of "team building" for the equipment instead of just getting better single stats.

The Rubber Room by Danial Jumagaliyev 2024-10-14T21:20:28Z

Did couple tries, on second i got to the sentient room but lost to sanity.

I like the frantic managment of different task and it was really fun to play. The mechanics arent that clear how they work but the game is forgiving so you get to test them out. I am not sure i undrestood everything but i think thats part of the charm.

Really nice expecially for a compo game.

Tiny Skweek plays Breakout by Recher 2024-10-14T11:24:55Z

Intresting using custom engine like that, i like the opensourcines of seeing the game code next to the game.

Game is little slow and since there is no audio engagement is slow at start. I like the speeding ball but since the game starts from level on restart i really never got to play it more. Level 2 also start super fast or something compared to level 1 witch waits for the player input and lost my first run because of that i think and almost lost on the second try.

Hero must die by DmitryGalias 2024-10-15T14:47:21Z

I like the idea of "reverse tower defense" or what should you call it. Game is little low on information and feedback whats happening. I kinda spammed the spawners as some other commenters seem to have done and won.

The art is nice and the end screen was nice reward for winning. The world feels little cold/empty though.

Overrall nice idea and execution, but as usual more complex games in jams tend to be unfinished or hard to understand.

Rex-Terminator by Deruitda 2024-10-14T11:10:49Z

Super funny audio! 9 Deaths 148 kills and 440s to beat. I really like that you made it "easy" by just counting the deaths.

I enjoyed the platforming though it was little finicy and hard but got much easier after i realized you CAN and have to dash (always forget something when reading the controlls). Map design reminded of getting over it and other "rage" platformers, dont know if this intentional.

HAIRDIVERS by Surfa 2024-10-14T11:38:35Z

Super good game. The audio, the cinematics! Too bad there was no ending cinematic :(.

Some nitpicking. I would liked to have weapon selection so I could manage the ammo of weapons though trying to get enemies stack up before shooting for optimal shotgun use is fun too. The final boss was little easy since there was no adds.

I dont know why but i missed first carepackets appearing which discounraged me from moving encourage me to mostly circle around. I expected that behaviour would let carepackets to no miss/go far which appeared to work. There could have been couple of voicelines for the carepack drop since your sounds where otherways so good but hearing exact same voice line got little old and i was expecting some jokes etc more.

Bnuuy by Tetrergeru 2024-10-15T15:28:56Z

Really nice graphics and smoke. The movement was intresting challenge with taking account the recoil and make quite a high skill ceiling. Too bad there was no sensitivity slider to properly try to make quick 180 degree turns for fast and long jumps.

I kinda like the heavy smoke and spray and pray type of shooting while trying to efficiently move and dodge the enemies. At start i though the game was just meant to be hard but after noticing the hearts were actually pickups made the game much easier and i played it though. Maybe some more indication (effect/animation) whats static and whats pickup to clear up the environment.

I had fun!

Solo Hamstering by purplexy 2024-10-14T11:46:08Z

WTF.

Really nice art and story. Lets say i was not expecting the story go where it went after the level 1.

The mechanics are simple but for a story heavy jam game i think its okay.

It was short, really enjoyable and I am just stunned by the experience.

NebuLeet Troopers by quasilyte 2024-10-08T08:41:05Z

Really awesome game, expecially for compo. I got to the level 7 on normal and it kinda felt hard/rng:ish so i stopped.

I really like the auto battling mechanic and feeling. I would liked to have speed up button/automatic speed up after some rounds because its gets little boring to see 2 groups trying to snipe eachothers from the borders of the maps, but i understand there is no time for everything.

I think showing the map/enemies or atleast vaguelly before selecting the troops would have been better. I realized that best start is to just first skip buying any and then going to back to after seeing what enemy composition is.

THe concept of the cards is really cool but it felt too random at start since you have not really good idea what the card could be. Maybe show couple cards from the board so the player can make informed decicion at first or choose to gamble. After the first card the mechanic was fine imo.

Small quality of life could have been having reset deployment button when deploying units.

Sorry for my nitpicking and rambling but it comes from the love of seeing cool and highquality game in jam. I expect that you though some of this stuff but just didnt have time for everything :)

AHHElevator by AlxJE 2024-10-08T09:21:11Z

Maybe it bugged out or maybe i missed something but after the monster in tutorial passengers would not leave the elevator? I really like the idea and trying to master the rope pulling (controller) seems like a nice challenge.

Mobile Group [Ballbam]: Together We're Strong by Tgnics 2024-10-14T21:56:05Z

Really nice concept of changing your properties of the body and using it as ammo/health. The play area felt little small for the game and the mechanic of picking up the shot parts. The allerts are nice touch to know where the enmies are coming from. As only quickly skimming the tutorial first time i didnt realize you could move which made the first run really hard, but rereading the tutorial fixed that xD.

The Swarm by NeOleg 2024-10-08T09:47:27Z

Got to the finish. Atmoshpere is nice and i like hearing the enemies coming. Quite punishing enemies and since the was no feedback when i took dmg the death often suprise. After some tries the layot of the map was familiar and i understood what to do. I though the hp pickups where somekind of altar switch where the body should placed xD. I didnt get what were you suposed to do with the bodies, distract enemies? Oh right, now that i read your info i was right :D

Stick Racing by Prunus Padis 2024-10-08T09:25:26Z

@buzzydev yeah sadly i didnt have time to tune the cars better or implement mulitple maps. The turbo is doable with controller where you have better controll of the acceleration.

Stick Racing by Prunus Padis 2024-10-15T14:13:50Z

@she-wrote Yeah i could not bring the theme out that much but the point was thats its a small world stick-figures drawn on paper. I had plans to the skybox be make out of focus "childrens play room" or something like that but had to priorize other things.

Dark Fuel by RascarCapackDev 2024-10-14T10:07:28Z

Simple but nice game. Little too easy since i could just stall forver by keeping the beam on the light. The atmoshprere is good and the creatures feel alive. Some depth to the gameplay like multiple enemytypes orlights to defend and this could be really nice.

Squeak-Squeak by SioSti 2024-10-14T16:41:26Z

Nice graphics makes a consintent world and the comic strips to set the atmoshpere for the game. The mouse is cute.

Audio and game play are little lacking wich hampered the enjoyment of the game. I like the jump mechanic idea but the implemntation was inconstintent and would randomly fail to jump. It took me way too much time to realise you even should hold the jump button since quickly jumping didnt even blink the meter. This lead me to wondering was i missing something or was the game just inconmplete. Also the camera was kinda of run killer with randomly turning and changing my jump trajectory and lead to my dead couple of times.

The level design simple but works and you get the feeling of traversing the house. The roomba or what ever that robot was suprised me and killed me instantly which was funny :D.

I dont know if i cleared the game but i guess so since i got into the fridge and the game went to the menu? I think if you had the time to do some features giving feedback to the player and polish the movement this could have been a really great game.

LD57 — Depths

Walking Simulator by Tero Pulkkinen 2025-04-07T14:55:23Z

Hmm what to say, intresting choice of camera angel. Whole thing gives dreamy wibes.

I hope you had fun jam and learned a lot :D Im pretty impressed that it runs on browser (used edge).

Sound the Innersea by tukisboolukis 2025-04-08T13:40:54Z

It has really good athmoshpere. The visuals are cohesive and evoke feeling the cold icea ocean in the darkness.

Sadly i did not enjoy the gameplay loop that much. It was cool to dive into the ocean but the combat mostly felt annoying to me. Since the ammo and movement were tied to together i felt that it was best to just stay still when fighting since you run out of energy so fast if you tried to move and fight. Since the movement is so fast once you accelerate, it was weird mix of stand still, dive, stand still. I dont really understand the how the yellow fish behave. They swim at you then run away if you shoot them enough? It was pretty annoying to get upgrades since the green one only gave hp and other enemy just runs away. Other option is to try to farm the hidden enemies but if i did that yello fish would come hit me and then id had to chaces them to get maybe a reward. I did not like the long delay of collectin the pickups either. Since you went with the more thematic scan etc idea and fish would run away when dmg but i think it clashed with the otherwise arcade like feeling of the movement, combat and upgrading. Maybe using some button to instanly "scan" the data so there is the interaction of scanning but you dont need to sit down for so long time.

Sorry for my rant but i really liked the potential that was there but I just didnt enjoy the game play loop, though the athmosphere was super good. I think the ideas are great and mechanics work but the balance is off.

I really liked the using inworld meter for energy, though it was little hard to notice at start.

Depths of Hell by mediocrity 2025-04-07T12:34:47Z

Suprisingly nice balanced, initilly little simple but once i got other guns and hang of when to use what. It felt to me that each gun had its place. Maybe you could have lowered their price a little since at start there is little to do.

I had some bug/featuer? that i think "stole" some of my gold away, i was pretty sure i could afford more than 1 upgrade but then i had just 0 gold after buying one. This initially scared me away from going for long runs and just made me die once i had enough gold. Later this bug/feature didnt happen i could buy tons of updgrades.

I really like that you left the last rounds gold stay on the map (bug turned feature :D?). It really made the progression easier and something to do initially with the easy waves.

Some more feedback when getting hurt would have made it more immersive. Just a simple clear sound effect etc would have made getting overrun so much better (ofc animation even better but time is limited). Now its little lacluster and noticing whenthey are hitting me was hard.

The visuals are pretty simple but work and are clear.

Well that turned quite a long. I really enjoyed this evn though its pretty simple, the game balance felt really good and made me play to 9 dmg,8 cd and all weapons (glass cannon is the way). After that run, since the start is so slow i, stopped. Plus there was no clear indication if the following waves would have new enemies to discover. (more than green?)

Freak Waves by Rewzu 2025-04-07T13:29:52Z

Gameplay wise this was quite a simple. But the mood is really great. The waves and interactions with them is really also nicely done (had to look up how it was done).

Though its pretty random with its difficulty, it was nice to getting rammed by giant wave and flipping the ship and the cargo :D.

Really like the wibes you went for.

Neon Wars by StefanHolst 2025-04-09T10:30:13Z

Really creative way to use the unbalance of game for highscore and having a high scoreboard!

I had also switch tabs to look up if you could key the towers since there was so much money. (reading long instructions is boring :D) Maybe just small text of the key at the buy button would have made this easier.

This was nice, i like the tons of effects happening so that i cant even see wtf the rockets are hitting without zooming it. As stated the balance is off but its nice that its too easy rather than too hard, and min maxing the for highscore well would require couple of tries.

I like the effects audio with some kind of neon style music would have elevated it realy nicely, since the colourscape is evokes that kind of feeling.

A Soggy Situation by SvenErik 2025-04-07T15:28:48Z

Man the clicking is too hard, so i cheated and used a macro to spam click to see the end.

Imo you should have just made it little easier so people can see the ending :D And the pumping was a good difficulty level!!!!

The art style and mood is great!

Fishing the Depths by zerocomms 2025-04-07T15:57:11Z

Reading the line "Dad mode LD57 game" and saw a fishing game. Is the game about living or dad mode or does it mean lifesitutation :D

Note to self: do not buy so heavy lure that you cannot drag up. (spend all my first money for sinking speed xD)

I like the things that are there and it somewhat works but is hard. There is a quite a many things but just not fully fleshed out and balanced.

Thank you for your generous starting money, and then earning just couple coins from fish, I was think if this was somekind of allegory? ;)

Great audio!

DownThread by eyedromeda 2025-04-11T20:51:53Z

This is one of those where a simple idea is really polished. The shooting feels responsive, interactions are super nicely done and sounds nice. The enemy hit box felt sometimes small though, I thought it would hit but then the shot just "feels/seems" to go through, hard to say since its so fast and enemies were moving mainly when that happened.

The main loop got a little boring quite fast for me but as you said earlier theres more plans in future development. I would either keep it simple and more variety for things to shoot, some story maybe and more audio, or you could go with a more complex route of having different shooting/abilities etc mechanics.

The enemy animations is really nice with procedural animation and the movement they really seemed to make them "alive".

Turtles All The Way Down by VerttiXPertti 2025-04-10T11:13:55Z

Definetly a rage platformer withs is simple but highskill movement.

As others stated leaderboard was a good addition!

I really like the audio when you loose, it right enough whimsical and sad "oh you lost". Really helped me to try out more.

Voyage au centre de la Terre by xpoho 2025-04-07T11:30:49Z

That was kind of cute game. Too bad it was little short and there was a little to do, but as linear story game it works. The audio is nice expecially AXEEEL :D,it really brought the thing more alive.

Depths of Darkness by SayuriNyooko 2025-04-11T16:59:58Z

Running back and forth really hurt my eyes.

Otherways this was really enjoyable. The darkness nicely made the map seem scary with suprise enemies possible killing you. Remind me of old nes games etc with the punishing mechanic and sidescrolling simpleness. I have mixed feeling about the visual clearness of platforms etc. On the other hand it really ups the exploraty getting lost and in the other hand they are just hard to see sometimes.

Since, the way I atleast played, there was a lot of small running back and forth quickly when kiting the enemies and my eyes suffering anytime i did it somewhat lessened the fun of redoing the "solved parts" again, even though it was in my option good lenght.

The style of game is positively distinct with the mix of 3d 2d.

Lifted by andriybyelikov 2025-04-09T10:48:45Z

Got me couple of tries to get it running properly (had to swicth browser), trying to exit the options menu was a first boss. (reading instructions is hard)

The gameplay is somewhat missing but what it lacks in gameplay it really shines on its mood and narrative. It really captures this mystical feeling world that what beyond this place. The music enhances it really well.

Since interaction is limited to only talking to npc it was little annoyiong to hear same prompt again without ability of skipping.

I would really wanted to see more if this world :)

EchoAbyss by Aincrad 2025-04-07T15:43:23Z

The sonar mechanic is super cool! Though i was kinda missing the steretypical "PING" sound.

It was pretty easy since after getting suprised once by the fast enemy i just super avoided them all. The map layout could have been litte more intresting.

I really liked getting suprised by environmental props that werent in sonar, really made the "exploring" more mystical.

Though the art is nice it little missmatches with the black sonar. The sea near you is wibrant but then there is completle darkness in sonar area. Either having the sonar be a lighter color (maybe even inverted so the ping borders are black etc) or having the sea be more dark. Now those 2 concepts fight eacheother, am i diving into a nice colorfull colar or a deep dark depths?

Would love to see this as more full game!

Home is where hell is by Anderson Job Loeffler 2025-04-07T16:47:04Z

I was ready to give up on it since it was a pretty random to know where you were falling. But then i realized its on the devil theme and it was suprisingly short and saw why you did it like that :D The music is really good! A short but good game!

SignalBit by Libra_Nix 2025-04-09T11:07:28Z

Got to score 8990 on my second try.

I really liked this, its simple but effective. Its little repetitive on its slow parts once you get into the groove of controlling it. But this enhances the "oh shit" moments when the music starts to speed up again and you need to actually dodge.

Little weird choice to have the dmg and score signals so same color. Ofc this makes the skill ceiling if you want to capture the points higher. I didnt realize that the other is score before i was forced to a corner with 1 hp and then hit the signal and istead of expected death I got score. Some more clearer effect when getting dmg would have been good to hit it more home since the bubles are in the corner. At first i just tried to capture the signals and was confused that i died :D

I had really fun with this.

RepliCore by Nick Halstead 2025-04-07T15:08:47Z

At first i was just wibing at starting zone, the background audio somehow really well cyncs with the jumps. (Also i didnt realize you just need to jump down)

The clone mechanic was nice and the maps use it well. Though the game felt little to hard with its timinsg. The movement etc is pretty slow so getting the timing whith clones right felt overly hard (though it made the game longer)

The cloning animation was really great and i like the games mood.

Down climber (Pico-8) by Prunus Padis 2025-04-07T13:06:08Z

@yossarian sry about the music. I wasted last hours trying to get more levels system working (3h melting brains), which some of I could have made the music more complex(its only 2 pattenrs looping).

@dnp yeah i notice that bug but decided to let it be incase people notice and want to abuse it + not wanting to break anything (my collision is a mess).

Down climber (Pico-8) by Prunus Padis 2025-04-14T08:39:19Z

Thank you all for the feedback.

@python-b5 Thanks a lot for the longer criticism! Point of the rope mechanic was to be somewhat a trust thing, you got to "trust" the rope when climbing etc. Also so its not too punishing to acidentally letting go when climbing a wall. But yes i agree that i could be weird to play with it like that. Sneak and catch a edge is a result of me failing to do proper "climb up/down a corner" mechanic (the climb up uses a bug to work). Initially i didnt mean to allow for any movement while in air. The spawnpoints activite when you get near it, and i didnt fix the "even if you fall miles into it" bug. And yes i wholy agree on lack of more feedback. There is a slight sprite change on checkpoint activation, and i wanted to keep some of that old school we dont tell things.

Deeper into steel by Arsmih24 2025-04-09T16:03:58Z

Really nicely done narrative game. Though its pretty simple for my tastes, (though i had to use your tip for the code xd). This could be right kind of difficulty for a non gamer in its simple mechanic.

The art is really nicely done with so many details. But so much detail lead to me having to look up sometime for the first button and was initially wondering was something just broken (happens with jam games).

I kinda liked the long transition in the "elevator" but it was missing somekind of visual, would have made it 10x nicer.

Nicely done keeping the style well cohesive with so many people working on it.

Ruby Hole by Aleksey4adoff 2025-04-07T14:17:14Z

Really thematic and cohesive tiles and art. New look of tiles on lower level was a really cool touch.

Maybe add a tip that you turn the tiles, i didnt realize this at after restaring 1 time already. (Maybe im just dumb :D)

The help guide was nice and teaches the mechanics but it kinda breaks the immersion when I need to scroll down to look to remind what was i supesed to do. This isint usually a big problem, but since the game was pretty smooth and nice otherwise, it stood out to me. And there was quite a lot of examples given also.

The tile laying of caves is nice but the road laying felt little flat since you were supposed to go only down? (Guesss there was additional mechanics planned or i didnt encounter them)

Felt pretty carcassony in a good way and the tiles matched nicely, I really liked this.

Little Lantern by tim_laker 2025-04-07T15:19:27Z

This what game jams are all about, having fun and trying things and learning.

I really like the fish and the animation is nice in addition with nice sound. At first i though the eatable fish was a lie and just a planned feature since i did not find anything. But just as i was closing the game, i found and ate 2 tasty fish.

I could realy see a cutsy minigame made with this style where you just eat fish and chill in the darkness.

Depths of Space by Ali Yagmur 2025-04-07T13:16:51Z

Dude why make that end so hard! FINALLY i was saw the pwer cell close but no, my velocity didnt reach and black hole ate me :(

Lovely janky jam game. The movement was intresting, wacy, challenging and fun.

Some effect for getting hit would have been nice, i didnt notice that i got dmg sometimes since the movement is quite intensive to control.

Nice!

Depths of the Deity by LukyStudios 2025-04-07T13:41:56Z

At start it was really hard, then i realized you can shoot the enemy spawners. Then i realized you can aim, and THEN i realized you can aim into any direction, since i was using controller. After these realizations clearing it slow and safe was super easy oppisite of playing to fast.

Too bad the music didnt loop, it was quite nice at start.

It was short and simple, nicely done for 12h jam.

Arctic Hell by Fayad 2025-04-07T16:41:00Z

Its simple but for some reason i liked it a ton.

There is some deep understainding and timing required for the movement. If you slide at wrong timing you die. You just gotta do it right. The increasing speed make this more and more challenging. And the random tile layout and the randomnes of gaps makes it even harder. Really high skillcap!

Is the jump a "hidden" feature since you dont comment on that in text? Took me many runs to realize that i had even more options for movement.

I got to 48, if this had a quicker way to reset than clicking on the reset i would have played it more, but its fast pace and then reuquiring again to click for reset was annoying. (this was not helped the game crashing couple of times after death, webbuild)

The games audio is phenomenal, the ohmygod is just a perfect death sound!

PS: I tried it once more and accidentally got into a off screenspot on left, where i dont fall or anything and the game just keeps going (300) as of writing.

Debt Miner by fungus mundus 2025-04-07T14:38:35Z

I felt that his would work great as a tapping mobile game that you tap on when you want that dopamine hit.

A simple and easy game since there is no lose condition. Expanding this would be quite easy, as now it still works at start with that hey im progressing game until you hit dimnishing returns.

The ui is little messy and hard to read but everything is there. Why did you have to put sleep button at middle! Arg is was so annyoing when i spammed smith and enchat and my brain tells me they should be next to each other but NO, the sleep is between them. Maybe it was an extra challenge.

It was nice of you to have an early "win condtion", but i decided to keep digging. Thank you for not making that be in vain since after some blast spamming i found the bottom :D .

Lost In Taxation by LeReveur 2025-10-09T14:17:52Z

Shit happens during the jams and learning is the most important part of the jams imo. This feels papers pls esque on its tone, and i get the idea. Interesting tech using own engine, there are lot of open source engines too that like Godot if you want to do more complex games easier without thinking about license, though i understand working on own engine is fun too.

BIGDIG by Willops 2025-10-08T18:43:27Z

Reminds me also about the minigame in pokemon diamond/pearl with ds touch pad. So i am comparing to it. Here i think it was just too usefull to use the heavy swing constantly since its just a speed game mostly, in pokemon its more of a thinking game with limited turns. Also forcing to click the icon tool instead of just switching to small tool discouraged the swithcing in fast pace, if it was a keybind i would have maybe used other tools more. Really nice juice in the game, felt satisfying to break things and the loot showos animations were funny :D.

Overdraft Charles by Yvanor 2025-10-06T12:39:51Z

This was GREAT! Played it to the end, super nice ending, guys its worth to play it trhough!

BUG: The vacuuming did not working on my keyboard but the inputs worked great with a controller.

This is so nice, too bad there was no more sounds, would have tied it super nicely together. I would see this as a great humoristic couch co-op game, where you payday like try to cordinate the optimal "robbing". It was super funny to just grab all the stuff while the kid was crying. Too bad i could not punch the kid or sell them :(.

1100 Dots by thingus 2025-10-07T17:35:05Z

I was kinda tempted to do a particle themed game too but went to a other direction in the jam (I would have used unitys particle system thought). Too bad you did not have time to flesh this out to more of a game. Havent heard of Bevy before or touched Rust but data-driven game engine seems like fun. One more option to play around in future if i want to challenge my self with a new engine stuff :D

Zark and Jones by beardywombat 2025-10-09T14:29:32Z

Classic Jam game with tons of mechanics but not enough time to implement them all (happened to me many times). The vision you seem to be going for is pretty nice and cool. Whats the post box meant to be i could just get infinite resoureces from it? The animations and art is nice. I really like you added some bird noices, really brings the feeling we are in forest! There was a bug that i could spawn infinite fires during the build phase since i did place it before build phase. Also i failed to enter the night phase 2 times, the game just went black and nothing happening, i could still hear hitting sound if i click it and othre audio, weird.

Canny Celestial Collection Crew by winniehell 2025-10-08T19:30:38Z

Kinda strugled at start without any inputs given, but got the hang of it after trying things out. Art is really nice and there was suprisingly many collectable creatures, loved the line following me :D Even though its really simple you had nicely time to make the game have many screens and decent routing with all the nice backgrounds. The game ended too suddenly though for me and now way to go back? Was there stuff in the city?

Canny Celestial Collection Crew by winniehell 2025-10-10T20:06:10Z

@winniehell what I meant was the end screen came, i think i did not visit the city (if there was anything) before the game ended.

Canny Celestial Collection Crew by winniehell 2025-10-13T15:11:30Z

Seems like i walked too fast to read the text until the end or smt :D

Fluster Fencing by Jajo 2025-10-11T14:33:22Z

Fun game though little too repetitive once you get it. Got my ass beaten in the first fight but then I mastered the flirt and 100-0 swooned until i got all the jewels. As other have said more unique fights would have been fun. Also somebackground music/ambience. I like the art, nice compo!

Pocket Monster World Collector Adventure by justking144 2025-10-08T18:55:59Z

Nice parody game. I like that you allowed me to just trying to keep biting the turtle until i die, way to die kid :D

ScrapheapSprint by sketchycode 2025-10-09T19:23:38Z

Really intresting concept, though in this implementation it was hard to do anything but a spinning laser disk. Which was funny for the first time but i was kinda sad i could not get a proper movement working, it always started to just spin and move uncontrollably untill i hit a meteor, break my thurster and try again. Nice visuals and audio.

The Antiquary by Bobap 2025-10-09T14:50:44Z

Really clean UI. The game idea is nice but it feels pretty spread sheety in its current form. Once i realized what i was suposed to do I did not even pay attention to names of the objects and instead of just skimmed the tags, which kinda ruined the immersion of being a collector. I think more visuals would have made this much more fun (maybe simple icons or smt). I could really see this as a cool full game and could be taken to many different directions. I kinda missed having some audio and since it seems like you did not do Compo category some generic background music + sfx would have made it even more nice.

Tax Collector Millenium Overdrive by elq 2025-10-07T17:39:08Z

What?

Nice mood though.

Eightatwenty by HNKXOBKA 2025-10-07T16:55:05Z

Intresting game. Really good mood with uncanny horror and not knowing what happens next. Had to use your hint for the keys in the safe, it came little abrubtly to have suddenly different puzzle even though i noticed the hint. I though maybe there is more hint later about the safe or smt. I DID NOT LIKE THE JUMP SCARE, it was way too loud and hiqh pitch compared for the rest of the game since the dialogue is kinda muffled and quiet. Scare me but you made me turn my volume way lower for the rest of the game.

QIZI: Flag Collector by YurisCat 2025-10-08T19:20:55Z

I kinda just went for full ranged start after witch the game felt too easy. The system is intresting but it feels like its not a startegy game or puzzle game and falls akwardly between them. I think it would be more fun if it went into a more either direction (startegy maybe). Since losing pieces is super punish just going ranged was way to go, would be more fun if the front line was cheap and expendable so i could maybe move more into enemies.

The game gives decent feedback so i kinda understood whats happening and thats important in more complex jam game like this, ofc its a endless road to make it more understandable but i think you got it nicely decent for the duration.

Clawlector by teonino 2025-10-06T12:45:49Z

Hmm, i was not sure if there was any goal there? Was the number suposed to mean something at after you open the ball? The TRY AGAIN was super funny, getting always that xd. Controlling the claw was decent and i could see this as a full "game" whithc rng on top of rng :D

Bounties & Badasses by Feraligatr 2025-10-07T17:11:07Z

Just interested if you are willing to share what kind of ai tool/prompts you used? Would work nicely for pure programmer game proto testing if you can get easily stuff like that. The game feels kinda random with less choices, like a simulation that you only watch what happen. As a concept i like the "dating app" to choose but in this game it kinda feels pointless with so few dislikes and not knowing what happens next, then you get into a situtaion to just spam like all the rest. For future jam if you do comple mechanic i suggest to have a ingame tooltip system or atleast a guide for all the icon stuff or just use words, makes much easier to play. The concept is nice and i think this could work as a idle/auto battler game.

Have a nice Reap by JuanRod707 2025-10-07T16:36:59Z

Nice apocalytic mood. Got to level 10 and then lost before getting like 7 souls more. The hell portals or what ever were little punishing but i like the addition. I went full speed build so i kinda just had to dodge other reapoers, the spamming e felt kinda annoying so i just didnt even want to try it. There is nice feedback when collecting souls and the direction indicator is nice. Too bad there is lot of things sometimes hidden behind buildings. Would have enjoyed more if the audio was more looped and not so clear cut in middle, but it really elevated the athmoshpere.

Collect-o-maniac by Surfa 2025-10-08T18:30:53Z

What a weird bunch of minigames. I love the kinda cohesive art style but still all of the games felt like their distinct art style. Most of the games were pretty intuitive to play but grabbing the barrel scrubber was hard and i was slightly confused by the metal detector game first time. Punching felt really satisfying xd

Tax Collector by ellaris 2025-10-09T19:15:09Z

Intresting take on the tax collecting game. The coin physicst are little wonky but funny. There is quite a lot of small things going on so its little hard to follow everything thats visually happening. The starting title animation was awesome, noice voice acting too :D

Prairie Dog Music Collector by runningopenloop 2025-10-09T18:47:02Z

Simple and funny. I found kind hard to dodge the birds was i suposed to go home when they were attacking? The hole tp was nice. Gotta love the infinite zoom out, free the wheel and the world is just a tiny spec on my screen xD. Ending was nice, though hearing chrimsas songs this early gives me creeps.

All Roads Lead to Me by LemonInk 2025-10-09T19:09:50Z

Nice game, its rare for me to have patience to properly play/read full story jam game like this to the end. Writing is nice, though gets repetetive for obvious reasons. The mood is really nice. Imo the ending felt slightly flat for me since I did not really get the collector, but i like the direction and story the game told.

Collector's Cove by shamotte 2025-10-11T14:18:37Z

Cool idea, its prettyh hard to understand how the items work. Seems like one of those we did not have enough time to implement this cool stuff. I am sucker for creating my own builds and with some more time and a goal in the game this could be fun. Not sure which one does the red circle thing but i managed to get whole screen red sometimes by spam clikcing :D

Gamedud by Prunus Padis 2025-10-06T14:37:27Z

@nash You might be right on that it on the gray area of derivate art and characters might slip on the not derivate enough. Expecially the npc since I used way too much ref to the orginal to get the feel kinda okay with few pixels available in small time (last hours). Kinda hard to do regocnizeable homage without straight copy when using low res sprites (I tried to use nonstandard sprite size of 18x18)

Gamedud by Prunus Padis 2025-10-07T18:24:03Z

@jonction Yeah the topdown is much harder (easier with controller imo), but instead of balancing it well i decide to keep at is and let the player get to play game 4th even with 2 completed games. There was also plans to have variations of genres so difficulty could also vary.

Gamedud by Prunus Padis 2025-10-11T16:15:26Z

@atsh i left some jank in there on purpose + save some time. I dream was to have couple of stages (evolutions) of platformers, with progressively better/complex jump (coyote time, button press lenght etc). This was also for shooter.

@designernap too bad it was too hard for you, i tried to balance between simple but hard enough for some challenge.

@yvanor or anybody else who wants a more secrets revealed try to quit gamedud at anypoint :). Yeah missing D-pad is a bad in the hindsight.

Afterlife Debt Collector by jscommander 2025-10-09T14:06:59Z

Really nice entry. Good level design, it was sometimes just little too much walking around for me tough (the walking was not that satifying). The voice effects and dialogue were funny :D Oh my <3

Collector`s Insomnia by MrV 2025-10-09T16:54:06Z

That walk animations is so nice. I did disliked the huge contrast on speed and jumping height (suspect this was for easier level design). The controls are litle slidy but the generally nice. Funny how you did not reset momentum on death :D. Lead to so many times me dashing to spikes and immediatly respawn and keep my momentum to dash into them again, or fall into ground xd. Level design was nice and on the edge of almost too hard for me but i did get past the levels (thank you for having easy ends on hard start rooms). Seems like it works on controller but you did not bind dash to anything?

Bumper Master by KafuuChino 2025-10-09T17:01:25Z

Super cool presentation. The game is nice but gets slightly repetitive at the end of round. I would think it works better in pvp. The bot is slightly too good but feels like a player, maybe because of the inherent chaos of the movemtn, so nicely done on that part. I agree on that there should have been more penalty/reward when you fall/kick other out, makes it more intresting since sometimes it might be better to fall.

Bug Driver 3D by Reaktori 2025-10-07T18:20:01Z

Really cool applied game about importance of seatbelts. Really funny physics and mood. The driving is nicely done, in my experience its pretty hard to get nice. Would have liked to have boost also work on reverse. Really nice cinematic start :D.

Gibberwave by yiwai 2025-10-07T17:26:52Z

Really nice chill mood. The character art is fantastic. I think the timing was kinda harsh, sometimes i had to just quickly guess a text since i did not have time to read all and were quite many times left confused.

A suspicious game by Dalanbart 2025-10-07T16:07:21Z

Simple loop but it kinda works. The sneaking animation is nice and the game art feels cohesive.

I kinda wished to be able to rotate the objects slightly, trying to get that sofa was kinda hard. I love that you can kidnap the kid. xd

BloodPact by stefaink 2025-10-08T18:51:56Z

Really intresting graphics. The controls were slightly unintuitive to me. I dont think the running worked in the web build? I not sure what happened but I kind skipped the forrest level immediatly after entering, weird. For first project this is really nice, and you brought up the castelvanina style mood nicely.

Cosmic Collection by TungGD 2025-10-07T18:10:48Z

Nice little game. Intresting to try to optimize dodging and hooking. There seems to be a bug that hook shoots into wrong direction after finished pulling of mineral and i did not update the direction after that.

Sewernir by plastus 2025-10-06T12:15:13Z

Nice dialogue and decent instructions for controls. The rope was kinda weird to use, no clear feedback how it worked. I thought i kinda got gist of it but then i took +1 pin upgrade and finishing ropes felt impossible unelss super small sized? At this point I gave up. I also saw the corner stuck enemies. I agree with other comments that vision of mechanic is nice but its just hard to use. Nice music! Too bad there were no other sound effects.

LD 58: Loot Collector by tweekus 2025-10-06T12:20:31Z

Pretty nice first project. I love the collecting animation loading bar its so smooth. I feel this jam game belongs to the way too easy category since i just press the button and collect ALL THE LOOT, but the idea is there!

Magical Knights by Gusse 2025-10-07T18:04:25Z

Fire spamming to win. The combo system seems cool but there was little use for it in most cases. It was slightly hard to get the attacks right for me at start too used for Darks Souls binding with light attack on right bumber and heavy attack on trigger xd. This made the start super hard untill i realized to just spamm light attacks. The melee combat was super satisfying when the combo was done nicely but sometimes I just got stun locked so i preferd to chiken out in range. In final boss the large enemies got throwng out of the level so i had to blind snipe them outside of the camera xd. Next just make this a full game!

LD59 — Signal

Signodia by Jiri_One 2026-04-21T09:28:19Z

Nice game, allows for really complex dynamics. I like how you made it kinda punishing witch make it more puzzle game than a strategy. The 2x does not seem to work on money? Bugs like this kinda discourages experimenting :( Also i had some trouble to destroy the links at start for some reason, even though i was sure it should be possible, weird. Blind buying upgrades is pretty scary in punishing game like this, i have no idea what the icon does for the first time and if i bought wrong one i could instant lose because of it. The music was nice and it looks nicely cohesive even though really simple visuals. Some more interaction sounds would have made it more nice. You nice had the most important feedback there so it was pretty straightforward for me to understand, after couple tries how things behave.

Signal Weave by alexhonor 2026-04-21T09:50:36Z

This is crazy good, just my taste of a game. The game works great, you have really good feedback which made understanding the game so simple. When i realised you combine the color i got so nice AHAA moment. The level layout is nicely done which makes you think.

Exapanding the concept would be so nice so you can have crossings etc. Its like minimetro but more relaxing without pressure.

Artificial Invaders by slay a stone 2026-04-22T18:12:37Z

This was a really fun jam game. Nothing too complex but enough stuff to keep me on my toes. The AI getting more dangerous each level was a good choice. The timed sitting on correct place was kinda hard since it can be long way to go check up what is the color and the back to the color, though it made for nice challenge.

No Signal by dk5000p 2026-04-25T09:50:32Z

This was slightly too short, once i got into the groove of understanding it was already over :( For the game i think you had slightly off difficulty curve the number puzzle is clearly the hardest but its so early. As for tutorial since its a jam game my suggestion is that you would have made player play one super easy puzzle as tutorial anyways and not just ask did you understand. I read it but ofcourse i say "i understand" even though i dont :D. Though it is super easy to brute force anyways since you allow to return, i think its fine here and just expect the player to play properly if they want to have proper experience. It would be intresting to see this slightly longer and with some audio, like having the static buzz when you lose as a punishment and bring up the athmostphere.

G-VAUDAN by Furano 2026-04-25T09:16:56Z

Great game though goes to the jam game category of too easy. Though defendinb being easy allowed the diffuculty trying of understand what each upgrade actual does a nice challenge. The icons where nice and made sense once you understood each one, though not always clear how they stack. Since i mostly just click spammed my signals it made me think this could also be a autoshooter/iddle game easily. I like how well you tied the theme to your core mechanic and utilisied it in many ways. Was there plans to have some color signaling of different types of enemies since you have the towers color coded?

The graphics are super good with lot of polish and distinct style. The sound is nice though feels slightly less polished compared to everything else. Thank you for making there be somekind of ending though i would have had kept playing longer but first endles levels felt super super easy, i kinda wanted to lose to massive waves.

Steampunk Ship by CodeRaurus 2026-04-30T19:42:47Z

Nice take on this kind of game, though i kinda felt super alone taking care of so huge ship. The graphics are nice, though sometimes hard to distinguish between important parts vs decorations. Took me while to understand that the top thing was a UI element. I can see that you had more plans for systems than you had time to implement a feedback system for :D

Switchboard Sprite by Falk Hoeppner 2026-04-25T10:01:22Z

I managed to get myself stuck at fist day on first playtrhough somehow, i dont think i succecfully did any call and the day did not just end. After restart it worked.

Really nice game with unique athmosphere and style. The music was super great and set up the mood so great. The game play is hectic and i dropped many calls but dont know why since there was so much happening, i thought i connect it right way but still got the error sound after many calls ended, might be just user error though but thats how i felt.

Really great entry was fun to play!

Last Writes by orangeoceans 2026-04-23T16:33:50Z

Really nice, the story beats where nicely done. I sadly had to give up on getting to the finish. The cheat button did not seem to work on me? The cheat sheet is nice addition to the page, though i had already forgotten the name of level. Slightly weird option to go with lifes since you dont randomize the levels and losing is really punishing since you have already solved the levels and need to just repeat the motions and remember the spot you were in, ofc this reduces brute forcing and makes some tension of punishment. Maybe checkpoints between some level to even it out?

Last Writes by orangeoceans 2026-04-25T09:34:59Z

Since @orangeocean you asked i gave it other try, the cheat worked with dot. I am using nordic keyboard which might mess things up. I have to say i still gave on the game since I games like this are not my preference (my tone regocnising seems to be bad). It really is good but i am just not a puzzle player :D. If this was a full game i think the hint system could be one used in some games where you give a easier version of the puzzle as a hint.

Space PPT by Yarkin 2026-04-22T18:24:45Z

Morse code is nice idea, but i really dislike manual decoding like that so i cheated and used a external tool to decode the messages. This in turn turned to the game kinda of repeat the morse code which was suprisingly fun. I only did couple of messages since there was no clear indication if it was just a pool of messages or was there some progression. The art is nice, though i strugled find that i had to press the button in the machine since there was no feedback on what is clickable.

Defying Fate by Psevdonim 2026-04-22T18:31:26Z

I guess you had mind some more complex mechanic for managing the party? The ending was great was not expecting that. It was super easy to play and i only failed couple of quests. The variety of task descriptions was fun.

Under Signals by 13pilgrims 2026-04-24T15:20:34Z

Really nice visuals with lots of small details, though lost of feedback and usability still missing which hampered the enjoyment. Like scrollbox gliching out and lack of some feedback. Since you have so nice visuals already even little ui sounds would have made the mood so much better.

The rules were quit cryptic and i kinda thought i understood them and then it hit me in the end that yeah i was suposed to reject the weird ones or i was confused rather than just guess and acept them? Oh well sry basestation i was just doing my job with shit pay. I kinda dislike the look at info end decrypt it since it so boring manual work but here i kinda quickly kinda understood and guestimated later the things which is fun experience to start be able to read previously completely gibberish information. Overral its slightly hard to play and big learning curve but really nice thematics going on.

Last Frequency by Catanus 2026-04-25T16:50:14Z

Really great minimalistic style, i am wondering what did you use to draw such clean lines? The game play was simple and decently easy but with the mix of variations made it a nice playthrough. My favorite part was splitting signal because it takes some brain power to not get confused which direction to go, would have been nice to have more parts like that, though you had quite many levels for a jam game anways! The theme is strong in visuals and gameplay.

CONNECTED by whiteCloh 2026-04-21T15:44:44Z

I strugled to understand what each unit was doing, the spriters where slightly too similar so it was hard to know what units i had on what lanes. The lack of audio really hampered this in my mind since it was not that satisfying to watch your units beat enemies since there was some feedback missing. I my opinion the limited unit pool punishes agressive play too much and makes me just kinda want to boringly wait for enemies to turn up since i need to check that other lanes do get to the finish. Maybe some feedback how many enemies are left (if static) or smt like that. The speedup after no units are left was great addition, overral i would have enjouyed this more if the fights were faster.

The minigame to upgrade unit was great idea, though it also required some more feedback to actually see how your units turn out. The theme and art is strong here.

Make Way for the Supreme Leader by starr 2026-04-21T15:10:31Z

The theme going on was nice, sadly this game feels like trying to do too complex system if you were planning to have real traffic. I had no real feel that anything i did affect that much what happens in the game. I gues the optimal way to play is just keep rotating colors as needed. Since the icons are so small it was kinda hard to drag them fast. I think the idea is really good and with some more feedback and feeling that your things do affect it would be a nice game. Maybe same idea in a smaller setting would work better with some different intersctions going on and more distinct layouts. Like designing the players feel like "oh i hate that intersection" etc.

ROGER-ROGER, LOGGER! by CHAD-GPT 2026-04-25T16:38:04Z

Got 1400 score after couple tries. This was really fun and simple idea. For me the tanks felt pretty bad those mainly got kills with aimlesly driving trucks and managing the CIA ship. The laoyt was intrestingly done with different layers. I could not stop smiling while play it. The music choise was great too bad it was not made during the jam :(
