Top shelf! I love the voice acting, the puns, the "oh shit" when your team is diving down to the scalp. You made cutscenes with cinematic cameras. Really well done.
This is a very fun game! Pretty humourous too. Very fun yet simple gameplay, charming graphics, cool music. It's a five stars from me
Dude this is awesome. Not only is is extremely unique, but it feels pretty good to play. I love the graphics that you added for the UI and the environment. I'm not sure if it's possible, but I almost had a care package go out of bounds but I was still able to grab it. Overall though, nice job man. Good combat and really funny :)

I think this is one of the best games out there for this jam! Excellent quality and smooth gameplay! And really liked the intro!! Hard to say how even improve this game, it is just perfect!

Liquid Hairdiver are raidy but maybe if the bug was esier to see that can be better
Fantastic game feel, A+ on the puns and references, phenomenal use of theme. I love the mixed media. Difficulty-wise it feels RNG dependent on the care package drops you get. Got the win, shotgun slaps. Only gripe would be the tan enemies on the pink background are sometimes tricky to spot. Oh, and thank you for the sensible default audio levels. Excellent design choices all around.

@alyxx116 Yeah, it definitely is very frustrating when you get surrounded. I wish we had a bit more time to add some sort of pushback powerup or something as a last ditch effort to not die in a mosh pit of headlice :laughing:
@obliterine The care package DEFINITELY can go out of bounds... We should have done something about this but felt it wasn't quite as high priority as some of the other tasks at the time.
@martta Is it definitely shader compilation? We noticed the hangs when loading but presumed it was when new sounds were being loaded in. We tried to fix the problem but couldn't dedicate any more time to it unfortunately :frowning2:
@bobap The difficulty definitely is quite RNG. I was responsible for trying to balance difficulty and I tried very hard to make sure you would always get useful supply drops. It's almost there but sadly sometimes it seems you're just destined to not be able to win...
Can not be sure, but it was first thing that came to my mind.

I really enjoyed the cheesy voice lines and cutscenes, the actual gameplay was not so fun as I kept getting surrounded by the bugs and could not shoot them so close to me.
Cool ideas and cutscenes were on point, well done :D The difficulty was very different on my second try, but I always had the feeling timing was great on getting resupply / drops so props for that. Quite an enjoyable experience!

Getting upgrades and shooting loads of enemies at once is super fun

u people are crazy, that water shader! WTF!! Love the simple gameplay, although the art looks a bit rough in parts very fun game though, those guns are gonna give me carpel tunnel though.

hahaha great intro, loved the puns. fun gameplay too! nice little bit of variety in the enemy types as well as the guns and upgrades. speed upgrade was a life-saver but i eventually got trapped in on all sides while trying to grab a shotgun and died. nice take on theme. well done!
Having music AND voice acting AND a cutscene is fantastic for a jam! I also really dug the blend of 2d sprites on a 3d background. Gameplay is simple yet addicting, the variety of guns was fun to see, and trying to maximize your ammo use before switching made things chaotic at times. Minor nitpick: I did feel like the health pickups could have healed for a bit more, the extra incentive to go for risky health pickups might add to the gameplay.
I love the intro.
I was pleasantly surprised how fun this game was. From the graphics, audio, voices all matched and set an entertaining vibe. On the boss I felt like I was getting hit by invisible colliders, or maybe it was just ticking damage. Really fun though!
i was super impressed by the amount of puns y'all were able to fit into the intro cutscene lol. super fun game as well! only problem i had was that the tiny lice were hard to see sometimes
It turned out really cool except that you can't see the nits very well because of the color
Overall a fun game. It was also a bit hard for me to understand the commander but that was part of the challenge.
Humorous take on Helldivers with simple but fun wave shooter gameplay. I would've enjoyed getting more weapons earlier but then again finally getting a shotgun halfway into the infestation felt satisfying. First try ended with me almost finishing the infestation but greedily running into a care package, getting swamped by the enemies and getting stuck. On my second run I got stuck a bit earlier. Web version worked really well. Intro cinematic was epic and set the tone quite perfectly!
Super good game. The audio, the cinematics! Too bad there was no ending cinematic :(.
Some nitpicking. I would liked to have weapon selection so I could manage the ammo of weapons though trying to get enemies stack up before shooting for optimal shotgun use is fun too. The final boss was little easy since there was no adds.
I dont know why but i missed first carepackets appearing which discounraged me from moving encourage me to mostly circle around. I expected that behaviour would let carepackets to no miss/go far which appeared to work. There could have been couple of voicelines for the carepack drop since your sounds where otherways so good but hearing exact same voice line got little old and i was expecting some jokes etc more.
Big clap for having input mapping and having voice acting and transitions. The "democracy officer" guy had me laughing for sure. Thanks I needed a good laugh today!
Cool game I loved the animation and the humor haha, I did get stuck for some reason so I died but I understand about having bugs.

Quite funny. For some reason the hair effect stood out to me as particularly nice looking. Wish there were some indicator arrows or something to the care packages.
