In my top 3 of all submissions so far, and it's a compo. Wow. Excellent job, game is super fun, polished, it's clear what's expected. Very impressive work!
I loved the vibe and I can't wait to see a multiplayer update to challenge friends! Visuals are fun, sounds effects are working super well to setup the vibe.
UPDATE: I checked your stream replay and I'm a bit curious about the art being so different from saturday afternoon to sunday morning and done off-stream. Did you use AI to generate it, or was it done by someone else? If it's AI it would be better to be upfront about it.
Interesting mechanic having to fusion blobs and switch character to progress :D I struggled a bit because I found it was hard to navigate in the level, especially because camera maybe was a bit too close - I would suggest moving it a bit further from characters but that's a very tiny issue! Well done it was fun :)
EDIT: I'm removing my comment, strongly believing Ludum Dare is not the place to have this conversation. My point focusing on LD is - your submission is not a game, and people will generally not review a tech prototype. Most people will only check and rate games that have an embedded html version.
I still stand by my words: I would be delighted to review and play any game you would share using the tools you worked on!
It feels like I'm copy pasting from others but what else can I tell, the art is AWESOME. Gameplay was cool I restarted a few times to see what happens on each path. Thanks for making it <3
I made sure there was light everywhere so they are never in the dark again because musicians deserve a nice place to live <3 Thanks for this great time you provided, and well done! It's adorable and the day/night cycle was a nice surprise that was particularly fitting. Loved your tiny creatures <3
Quite impressive, fun top play, great intro, scoreboard... and it's DIFFICULT I cannot reach 4000 points!
Woah great vibe! Spooky yet no jump scare, quite enjoyable. Minigames are working well, art served it perfectly. Quite a unique submission, well done! <3
Oh it was fun!! I like auto battlers and it was fun trying to figure out what combination of animals are working well. At first I thought it was too easy, thanks for the speed up option, but then my animals started dying. So I stopped and considered how to go further and the difficulty ramp up was nice once it picked up! Well done I enjoyed my time playing it <3
Cute game! I wish there was an HTML export to easily share it with friends :( I loved the vibe and how cute mushrooms are :D
Okay I usually am a bit worried of games that I have to download but considering we made super similar style choices I had to try! Gosh I love it. The mood, music, style, everything made me smile and was super satisfying. Thanks I had a ton of fun playing it <3
It's funny because at first I thought "Yeah ok it's cool and it's in 3D but what's in it?" then I got hooked and felt like my mission was to finish it. Level design is great, I tried to skip parts but did not manage because the layout is smart and it really feels like you tested it well, camera and controls never failed me. Really great job, I had a very good time playing it!
Wooa got hooked big time, very cool gameplay loop! Well done <3 Two tiny things I would've loved: - Not have the quit button where you would expect a "back to game" button, bottom left of the upgrade menu. I quitted after wave 2 the first time, very frustrating! Just add a confirmation panel if you really want to let it here - A way to make sure you don't start a wave with not enough resources to send troops... but maybe that's intended! Felt bad finally upgrading to lose because I couldn't afford a single unit.
Excellent submission, really. Well done again and thanks for the fun provided <3
Great concept it's addictive somehow! I ended up cheating some levels by accumulating fleas on the left but art and music everything is fun :D Poor dog tho!
Another team of fellow 2.5D enjoyers! Waiting for a web version to test and rate, but waiting EAGERLY
Damn Vacuum :D Cool idea, I think obstacles/platforms could be even more highlighted on the first two levels at least but once you get the idea it's pretty clear where you should go. I enjoyed the fact that you unlock capabilities and you get to use it instantly. Well done :)
Great atmosphere and very cool animations! My dogs weren't too happy with barking sounds ahahah It gets - I feel - quite hard if you mess up once. Is the timer to finish a task different if you failed once?
Great gameloop, well done!!!
Cool atmosphere, quite hard to play because you instantly die and hitboxes seems a bit wacky but animations and sprites are great!
Very fun game to play! Art is stunning, animations are all so great I attached objects on insects when it was useless just to see them <3 Managed to reach wave 7 then got swarmed :( Impressive work well done!
It was fun! I think fire rate is a bit too strong, but it felt satisfying to go through waves :D
What - the - hell did I just play ahahah It's chaotic, yet you don't really need an explanation to play. I had fun, but I'm confused, and surprised, and I started again to look at the details I missed the first time (why is there an entire stadium full of people cheering why is there a kind of twitch chat with people commenting...)
The only thing I think is a bit unfair is it's hard to catch fire thingy, when they appear you don't move fast enough to get it so it felt like luck. Not a real issue, just a possible improvement!
Very cool vibe! I believe locking the camera to a specific distance from the ground would help to force player to explore instead of fly up and click from a distance, but you want to see the cuty dinosaurs up close so it's fine! I'm curious I didn't see it mentioned in the assets, did you make the music? To me it helped tremendously to setup a mood, and felt straight out of a jrpg. Thought I was playing Chrono Trigger / Ragnarok Online, and I loved it :D
Maybe a kind of ending with a gigantic dino would be fun if you keep working on it <3
Thanks for the fun time I had!
Great gameplay and mood! I enjoyed playing it, even if I'm clearly not good and never managed to reach more than 2000 T.T
Pixel art is my jam (uh uh), so I loved the cute cat and balloons. Well done <3
Music and overall vibe was fun, character animation is great! Questions were fun, but I did not really get what's the objective and why the questions impacted stats the way it did.
Cool ideas and cutscenes were on point, well done :D The difficulty was very different on my second try, but I always had the feeling timing was great on getting resupply / drops so props for that. Quite an enjoyable experience!
DINOSAURS YES Loved the handmade drawings <3 While my dog didn't and I had to plug my headset, I really thought the raptors sound was fun! Well done I had fun playing it!

To be honest, I equally love and hate your game now because of how frustrating it is to shoot an arrow and have it inside the model but not considering a hit. Hero level at the end the amount of attempts I made where I shot 3 arrows to the first 3 targets on the left and it doesn't register a single hit was tough to digest!
However, of course, extremely satisfying gameplay and beautifully polished entry. It's hard to believe that was done in 3 days, even if I trust you!!! The fact that I got frustrated is just to me a great tell how hooked I was and how I refused to not get gold on each level. Everything feels awesome - 3d art is top notch, gameplay is awesome, levels are well designed.
All in all, the only thing I want to add is: I feel bad that I got to play to such a great minigame for free. You did an excellent job <3
Thanks for the warning :D I liked the intro and the horde genre was a good idea <3
The mouth is a weird indicator for fishes and crustaceans but who am I to judge? Quite a fun and enticing puzzle game!!! It's smartly designed, great ideas :) Just like @vidarn I couldn't finish this level, it's a tough one. But it's engaging enough that I wanted to try! I wish there was more audio feedback when moving around pieces, but for a jam it's well-rounded, fun and working well. Great job <3
Coming from your shader post, I can see how the game mood is uplifted thanks to it! Very cool atmosphere and I loved the design of your tiny creatures <3 Had a good laugh at character's extended arms too! Too bad gravity is allowing you to float if you go downhill, however while it breaks the level design it allowed me to visit the miniworld you built in a different way, which was fun and appreciated <3
Well done!
Oh gosh it's awesome. It's cute, art style is gorgeous, it's fun to experiment with and you achieved so much in 72h! Well done, I'm impressed!
That's an interesting game, a bit disappointed that there was nothing more scary or creepy than the nanny through the windows (or I missed it) and I got stuck on the toybox for a while which is too bad. However, nice minigames! Loved the plushies :)
Now looking at the comments it shows your team is having some weird behavior to try and up your game artificially. That's a bummer - I don't think your submission needs that to stand out :/ @burchyn is right. Not cool. Please stop doing that
I want more critters and funny animations! For real the klint got me I was starring at my screen when it moved :D Well done, very cool art!
Simple idea but great execution, I liked that there is a story and a morale behind it, worms are super satisfying! One very small thing I thought was too bad is the fact it loops. I would've liked to see a "the end" screen.
Loved it <3
Nice concept!
Stunning experience. Art is extremely good, atmosphere is on point! Some parts were a tiny bit frustrating but the gameplay calls for it, and is aside from that quite fun and explicit. Sound design was great too! Great job, great entry <333 NB: First time I tried to play on browser I was kinda stuck in a loop, like intro cutscene kept replaying. I just hit refresh on my browser and everything went smooth from there... Couldn't reproduce it.
I agree with others the first wave is a tiny bit too fast. But overall it's a great submission, love the art <3
Great use of the light - I was confused at first how to pass the first frog requiring you to switch off light. But then I figured it out and was able to complete it. It's pretty, well done!
Hey, cool artstyle! I had no idea you could switch between different form before coming back for rating, and I completely missed the end of first level at first. Imho that could be made more obvious. Once I got it I managed to play a bit more! One thing that would help a lot is you easily get stuck on walls. I believe it might be because you used physics with colliders and it could be fixed by adding a PhysicsMaterial with no friction on walls, or on your character on the sides. I enjoyed it nonetheless, nice platforming <3
Capture d'écran 2024-10-11 160728.png
Great animations, drawings are cute and idea is fun! Well done <3
Great style and it's hard to do an horror game that works in a jam, props to you! Audio is creepy, visuals are creepy, I think what could be slightly adjusted is the overall rythm (the beginning you don't really get time to hear the parents disputing, and in the village you walk so slow it's off-putting). I still went to the end and I'm not disappointed I did, excellent job :D
Super cool and creepy at the same time! Drawing is top notch, well done :D Resolution of embedded version on LD website is wrong, but... it somehow forces you to go fullscreen, which is the correct way to experience it, isn't it?! Ahah
WP YOU STARTLED ME OK GET MY VOTE DAMNED
Very cool! How did you make the mouse's tail? It's working quite well! I enjoyed figuring out how to fight rats. Well done fellow baguette enjoyer!
Great vibe, had a bit of a rough time with hitboxes at first but once I figured it out it was enjoyable to play :D
Tried to start the HTML version froze my computer and led to a blue screen... I recommend removing the embed version until it's fixed :(
Thanks for pinging me now that you have an embedded version! Tested it properly and rated properly <3 Controls were confusing at first but it was fun! I love the music and blobs, reminded me of Porings in Ragnarok Online!! Somehow just spamming buttons feels super satisfying and I think that's a great tell you did something cool with feedback here. Well done!
Great submission! I instantly got the AHAHAH reference to risk of rain, and the sounds were super satisfying. Well done for that! I enjoyed playing it, however gameplay was 100% of "run clockwise, if a wave spawn on me run anticlockwise". Vampire survivor mitigate that will different builds and different enemies forcing you to move in a different direction, sometime dodge and sometime go through. Here the gameplay is more fast-paced so maybe an ability of some sort would've helped! Not a biggy and a real great game for a 72h jam, well done <3
Very fun and cute idea <3 I loved it <3
@nati there is a way to get 6 ducklings! Check again on the left, you did not even see half of the game :D
Ah @nati I'm glad you gave it another go and you enjoyed it <3 Thanks for your time playing!
Thanks to everyone testing and commenting! We are delighted to see you're enjoying our tiny """ducks"""!
There is indeed a known bug that the duckling counter can go off, the best way to fix that is... to make sure all ducklings get on another target, then call them back. Yes I'm saying everything gets smoother if you let the kids watch TV for a sec. Yes. I know.
Thanks for your comment it warms our hearts that the love we poured into making this style is appreciated!!
Is there a way to follow you on twitter/itch if you do more work by yourself? Would really love to keep up with what you're up to :D
@game-dynasty I agree more details and levels would be appreciated! For levels we had more in mind but wanted to keep it short for jammers and make sure people would appreciate our ending cutscene. For details... You gotta imagine at 23:30 Monday evening there was no rug, no fire lights and no plants on walls 😅
Thanks for testing and reviewing our game ❤️ We will see if the game gets some traction to complete it with more story, duckling behaviors, silly quacks and environments ❤️
That's a small thing, but we did a patch to fix lights on rugs (probably no-one cares but me) and fix ducklings sometime not following properly or bugging the duckling counter! Sorry for those of you who did not get the proper ending even while being great parenting duck! You're awesome anyway <3
@antti-haavikko Thanks for a thoroughly written feedback :)
While I agree with some points, I also disagree on different aspects. If you remove cooldown allowing permanent honk, players will spam honk and ducklings will always follow, never getting distracted. If you make them ignore it sometime, you convey a different message with your story.
The point, at least I believe, isn't always to challenge the player. For instance, the point of that threatening guardian was that ducks starts following it like it's their mother, like a child could end up doing in a supermarket, making it goofy and fun to witness those dork "ducklings" follow the wrong target. It was not here to be a threat!
Finally, we initially had 3 more levels in mind. However we thought telling that cute story of a duck chasing very low-focus kids in a dungeon, even if some are tiny creatures disguising as ducklings, was our priority. Water paths and spinning platforms are indeed here to show possibilities, but we knew people wouldn't spend too much time on each game in a jam so we decided to keep it short. I'm sorry if that disappointed you, as I understand you thought it was too easy and not challenging enough. However I gotta admit that it was never our intention ^.^"
We hope one day we'll be able to bring another version of this game with different levels and puzzles <3
Omg the voice acting and cute tinies are here to melt my heart. WELL DONE the art is awesome, very cohesive and well put together! I felt bad missing and leading them into water :( But then I improved and it was so satisfying! Thanks a lot for your submission <333
Ah yeah when you say really bad bugs you're not kidding I don't want to kill them I want to LEAVE INSTANTLY F THAT PAYCHECK!
Had fun, at first my tab was muted so I was confused why there was no sounds and thought it was lacking on that part but I'm just a dork :D Cool submission, props for making it! Big Vampire Survivor vibe. I wonder how many upgrades there is?
Oh... your submission is so cute! I felt it IN MY BONES no sorry but for real I thought it was quite beautiful and well done. Definitely reminded me of Undertale, I love the attention to details (showing corns as a hint where is the cornfield just in case, carving in the tree next to the river...)
I loved being able to carve the pumpkin, but my favorite image is this one. Capture d'écran 2024-10-11 161433.png
Thanks for your submission. Not all submissions are able to provide emotions, yours definitely did. well done <333
Very cool, vibe is on point. I felt bad for those kids :( I was sucked in it for a minute, well done!
Yeayyyy a tower defense!
It's cool to be able to put slimes everywhere! It works well. It's not obvious what's the difference between units, but it's nice that you're able to hold on space to place a bunch of slimes at once. Well done :)
Getting stuck on beetles is frustrating :( Glad I've read through the game page to know you can hide! Art style reminds me of Alice: Madness Returns by American McGee! That's a huge compliment for me. I loved it! Atmosphere is great, art is AWESOME, mood is just as creepy as it should be without being overwhelming. Excellent job <3
Making a puzzle game isn't what's difficult. Making a puzzle game that keeps on giving you interactions to discover and keeps you entertained and hooked for that long..? I'm VERY impressed. I LOVED your submission! I strongly disagree with people telling you hints for rules would be better. What's fun to me is how you first has no clue, then you think you get it, then discover after a few level that you only got half the idea and has to adapt your thinking. You did amazing on that part, I really feel like a more in-depth version would be quite a decent mobile game that would keep me hooked for a good amount of time!
It looks very cool, however in the HTML version UI is not displayed (I tried to go fullscreen as well) so I couldn't really play without knowing what was my status. Sounds are great from what I managed to see, too bad there isn't an background music. (One could argue there isn't any background music in space, fair :D). That's too bad because it looks like it's fun and there is stuff to do.
I would gladly try and rate again if you manage to fix the web version!
Cool idea, I would love to see it expended on itch! However I think for a jam I would've loved to see more things to discover rather, to better highlight the strong AI and procedural generation, rather than different appearances. Both are great and extremely well done tho <3 One small caveat I found is that you cannot unselect a tile once it's clicked? I clicked a tile super far by mistake and dwarfs kept trying to go there the first time I tried the game ^.^"
Overall, good job it was fun!!
FR: Très chouette ! Ambiance très sympa et la 3D rends super bien. Je rejoint @n-o-x j'ai coupé le son à un moment pour pas devenir fou mais ca m'a pas empêché de m'amuser :D Bravo !
EN: Very nice! Fun vibes and 3D works quite well. I agree with another comment I decided to turn off audio after a bit to not have the sound get stuck in my head :D It was fun nonetheless, well done!!
