Great tone, fun to play !
3.5 games in one! A really cute way to combine things. Really good at giving that old Tamagotchi feel!
Great Audio, nailed graphics. And an interesting concept. I like it.
Now I look with apprehension at my Tamagotchi, which is located next to me haha...
Cool idea! I like when we explore what happens to old digital friends. The first screamer made me jump x)
Gameplays are well executed and bring back nostalgia. Thank you for your entry!
was very fun to do the minigames. i really wasnt expecting the dark side of it
hooo one of them is dead :c It's a really good game ! I love the overall idea and the art style/music/gameplay is well made
Congratulation !
this is the first time I play a game from you which has an artist. Simple idea, executed well. Music is a little bit repetitive but the rest is quite astonishing. Awesome and cute arts, buttery smooth gameplay. Thanks for the entry
A cute little game. I really like the hip hop beat you made during one of the minigame. Hope you add some fun!
Great game! got triggered by the feeding icon reminding of the old tamagotchi xD Love the horror elements it suits the gameplay so well.
Sound track is tidy and the graphics are great. Very polished altogether!
I kept accidentally clicking back to the menu in some of the mini games (thinking I should be pressing C instead of X for example).
btw my cat is just like this irl
I really liked this game! It's awesome!
woah awesome vibes. i loved my experience with this. lovely job.
really cool atmoshere the minigames are also fun congrats !
Weirdly ominous and unsettling vibes, loved it! good job!
GREAT !!!
Who needs Silent Hill? This was quite the gem of a (scary) game! Excellent retro feel. Superb work team!
Okay guys, let's be honest, it was a really cool game. I finished it very quickly, it's a pity that there is so little content, I would play it again and again. The horror element really scared me, not the first time, the second time a little more, and the third time I was really uneasy, Thanks for the interesting experience!
Amazing short entry. Just few days ago watched the deep dive into tamagotchis. Good job on horror elements and overall on making a game!
Fun game, i loved the 3 mini games, the music/sound design and the graphics ! I didn't quite understand what the spooky cat was about tho
Very unique and moody. The horror elements were definitely creepy and it was fitting that the middle one was the evil one cause their game was the one I was the worst at lmao. I was a bit confused about X not being back most of the time and kept going back to the main menu accidentally.
Wow you nailed the feeling of those old Tamagotchi !!
The various mini game were also really smooth, good job ! It feel like your game scope was perfectly managed.
However I have to agree with the other, the spooky part felt a little bit weird compared to the mood of everything else
Lots of nostalgia in this one! liked the extra elements thrown in :)
Excellent, lots of nostalgia ! I was a bit worried at the start on the black screen, wasn’t sure if it was on purpose, or a bug ? Awesome game, very well polished and lovely cute (?) graphics. For some reason, I kept trying to press the little joystick under the creatures on the main screen, instead of the buttons below it…
You managed to capture the look and feel of tamagotchi so well. This is exactly how a cursed tamagotchi would have looked like :joy:
Wow wow woooow, i think about this concept on jam, i like
I was interested to see another game inspired by the tamagotchis for this Ludum. You took a really different approach than us. It's nice to push some horror elements but I didn't really understand what happens, it would have helped the ambiance to let the game settle for a bit before introducing the jumpscares, and it would require more polish on these parts. Overall that's a fun idea
Three mini-games in a mini-game, that's awesome. Nice 1bit graphic inside mini-mini-games.
This is soooo great. Love the Tamagotchi vibes. The music is veery chill and the pixel art as well as the shaders sell the handheld arcadey vibe so well.
One of my favourite submissions so far! :D
Thank you for the warning about the horror elements lol It was very exciting, the idea is fantastic, the execution is perfect!
I am impressed by the overall vibe. Simple but smooth graphics combined with stylized sfx. nice work
I love the retro tamagotchi style art and the dustiness. I like the way that the yandere cat stop you from playing with other pets 😼🔪
Love the idea of a forgotten console with a creepy game inside ! Really cool one good job !
This game feels veru satisfying to play! Unfortunately, all my gotchi pets died a horrible death
I liked the overall atmosphere of the game. It reminded me a little bit of "Pony Island" and of course "Undertale" (graphics).
A ducking feature in the "jump game" would be nice as in "T-Rex Dinosaur Game" from Google Chrome.
My favorite game was the "audio game". Good job and keep it up! :)
Amazing work on this game. I really enjoyed playing with the cuties!
Oh my, this art style is very good. I can't tear myself away from him. You made a very beautiful and cool game
A good idea well excecuted - not really much to be said about it!
Good job! The vibes are really good!
Wow, honestly did NOT expect a tomagotchi + DDLC combo this jam. Very well done, nailed the vibe and mood you wanted. Wish there was more, felt like there could've been a whole story. But you told it well in such a small amount of time. Good job!
Fun minigames, very well polished, and I love the art :D
Love the art style! Very unique!
Tamagochi is so cute, I like them, great and cozy game!
Nice game. I like the graphics and atmosphere and the creatures were really cute. I came to a bit of an impasse after -- Spoiler!
-the second animal died. Left the remaining creature unfed after for a while, but nothing happened. Is there supposed to be an ending beyond just having one animal left?
The retro Tamagotchi vibes are spot on, and the mix of horror elements added a great twist! The art and sound design were really well done, though I did find the transitions between the minigames a bit jarring. The unsettling atmosphere worked, but I wish there was more clarity about the ending after one pet dies. Overall, a really creative and polished entry!
Awesome vibes from this one! The mood was insane. Art, audio, and gameplay nailed that old tamagotchi vibe super well, and the added horror elements really added to the atmosphere. Probably the most unique game i've come across yet! Nice work!
Alright, you tama got me. Vibes and spooks are always fun!
Thanks, everyone! @kobato-games Yes. Once there is one pet left, game ends when you reach a certain score with the remaining pet.
Woah great vibe! Spooky yet no jump scare, quite enjoyable. Minigames are working well, art served it perfectly. Quite a unique submission, well done! <3
Tamagotchi stile! Nice game and minigames as well, liked it a lot. The game took me back to my childhood.

Hahaha very endearing game, great cohesion, very unique and creative as well. It also gave me a bit of nostalgia, very well done!
This horror scares and breaks the fourth wall, which makes it scarier. This game reminded me of the "my tom" games, and how there used to be terrible rumors about these games. As a child, I was very afraid of this, and now you have made my fear real ahahaha. The game is interesting with an unexpected ending, with every second I was wondering what would happen at the end. The graphics are super, cute and enjoyable, and the horror elements are very scary. This cat is literally looking into your soul...It's a cool game, I really like it
Thanks all!
@sofia-miglan What were those rumors?
Cute and creepy is my thing, you nailed the vibes!
After reading the description on itch.io I was expecting some twist, and even knowing that it still felt disquieting when it first happened.
My only nitpick might be that it finished too quickly, but then again, you made 3 mini-games on top of the wrapping tamagotchi-like and the whole package was solid. That's more than enough for 3 days.
Amazing job!
Very well done! Really like your take on the concept and you did a good job with giving it an unsettling vibe! The art, while simple, is also really good! Nice work!
Nostalgic.... thanks for the emotions! Awakens memories :)
Great game! very spooky :)
Really creative and I like the creepy atmosphere. Would be cool to see this concept explored further with more to do with the pets! Great work :)
That was brilliant! I got so nervous and freaked out haha, game was really good and solid. It looks like you kept the scope small and tight and just really refined it, super solid and the visuals were amazing. Nailed the vibe and theme, loved every inch, good job!
Cool! This feels complete all around. Good art, music, and the whole game loop with minigames and progression... that's impressive!
The design and execution are simple yet complete, and it definitely captures the mood. Yep, it's **scary**!
A pleasant short horror game with consistent graphics. I played through it a couple of times because I wanted to save the frog, but I couldn’t—the cat takes over every time. All three mini-games play well and fit the 90s Tamagotchi aesthetic
I enjoyed it! I like that it starts as a chill Tamagotchi sim and goes into a Doki Doki Literature Club! kinda spooky plot twist. It is so well executed. I wouldn't mind if it drags a bit longer to slowly become twisted and chilling. This is one of my favourites so far. Great job!
omg that jumpscare! I love it!
as that goddamn cat want to play "dino chrome" i made it play "dino chrome", here is my best score :
Capture d’écran 2024-10-13 192910.png
@roroto-sic Wow! Thats impressive. I think my best was 40 .... :D The cat approves!
79.png
I love the game! It’s an interesting and effective mix of Tamagotchi and horror (the horror elements work really well). The mini-games do a great job of lowering the player’s guard for the horror. And I absolutely LOVE how intuitive it is!! Even though it’s a bit strange to love that... The graphics are phenomenal too! The only problem I had with the game is that I think the horror monster could be a bit scarier. But overall, it’s an amazing game! Well done!
Well done! such a twisted and interesting concept. :)
Thanks, all!
@roroto-sic That's a great score! I guess I didn't score higher than 15 there.
Came here to apologise for callin your game silly and to analise this game more to be constructive >:)
I looove the whole graphics part, like, it is awesome, it gives the intended vibe, yet the scary moments are scary nontheless (and even might i say makes it all more scary) the minigames are fun and i like how it is different for each one sometimes i accidentally went from minigame cause of my fat fingers, infortunatelly, but thats prolly my skill issue
i just love that the cat looks disapointed when you pick not him, (such a pathetic little miau miau jOKING JOKING, he really is scary when he needs to be, thats awesome my dude)
Music is chosen thoughtfully, even if it is prolly not yours (since you opted out of music raiting), but it sets the mood perfictly and does its job
i can probably guess that you got inspo from doki doki and maybi kinitopet and those are good games to take inspo from
You got yourself a perfect original little game which i really liked playing. If you polish it up more i can see myself playing it on itch even if we were not in the same jar of jam together (: Lil too short for full release, but very solid for a jam!
With all the love my silly heart can provide, - Cup
why cat is impostor, cat's game too hard for me >:D i like to press flying notes :notes:
Nice game,very interesting plot!!!!Nice job!!!!
Cool game! I loved the minigames and the horror twist. I loved how streamlined the controls were, and the music was nice. During the blob's simon says mini-game the sound of the notes would sometimes get cutt-off.
I wonder if there's more than one ending, but I assume not haha
Thanks, all!
@aviv-levy Yes, that's a bug I noticed, too. And no, the game only has one ending.
Screenshot 2024-10-15 174000.png
Man this gave me a nice cocktail of nostalgia mixed with oh shit hahaha
I guess the only small criticism I could bring was already mentioned on the other comments above: - the bug during the notes minigame (for a moment I got confused as to why I had failed it) - I wish it was a bit longer to lower our guard and slowly tease that there's something "wrong" going on (but on the other hand this is like 4 games in one, it was probably a lot to make during a weekend already)
Anyway, I liked it for what it is :)
PS: I came from the post-mortem, and... I find it weird that people missed the "Z X C" prompt at the bottom of the game - I wonder if, were the letters written directly on the buttons or near them as label, people would be less or more prone to miss it.
Thanks all!
@wendel-scardua Yes, I'm aware of that bug. One of my post-jam plans is to fix it.
Why did they miss the prompt? I think the blinking logo was distracting and maybe the prompt should be somewhere out of the Tamagotchi screen.
Cool vibe
The games were fun, I liked the graphics and the mood. The twist was cool but for me there was not enough to do to really be fun. I think tamagochi is fun because you interact with it over a long time, which you don't have here and then it misses it's effect. Also the twist would be more impactful if it clearly resulted from your actions in stead of being inevitable. Overall great job on the game overall but it needs some added elements IMO to really be fun. Mood and aesthetics you already have in spades.
Cool idea! Loved horror elements in the game. Jealous cat is spooky for sure!
Finally gotten round to commenting, though I played the game days ago! Quality work from you guys, big step up from the last jam! Got a genuine spook out of me, for one. But the individual games were lovely too! I think the effects worked great, the way it's all framed into the tamagotchi console, the little minigames. Love the way that only the middle one's is an endless game with no win con, and you figure out why eventually. Well done!
Nice game! The contrast between the cute characters and the horror was indeed chilling.
simple and interesting game.
MOOD terror wasn't very scary, but it was enough.
It made me miss the days of Tamagotchis. My brothers loved them.
It was very well done.
Congratulations!
Wow! The game is so wonderful! Keep making games!
Played on my phone. Maybe it made the game a bit more challenging, I am not sure. But it was enjoyable. I liked mini games and the approach to horror vibes. It's not too scary but reminds you of some classic horror games of our time. Which I found delightful. It's short but polished, which is perfect for a jam. Frog is the cutest <3
Also, kitty... You can't ask me for a high score and cover 90% of my screen! Come on! xD
That's about how I remember my Tamagotchi from when I was a kid. Especially when I forgot to feed them, it felt the same. Great game!
very charming little horror game! I didn't expect anything weird going in so I was pleasantly surprised when the cat thing turned out to be a murderous psychopath.
The pacing and time you are expected to play each mini game and have the experience be coherent is very well tuned. I liked it!
What a unique game! Love the direction you went with the theme. The twist was unexpected and the game was fun!
I really wish there was some more after the game ended but yeah, I have to agree with everyone else: it's super clever in its darkness and what happens to these adorable lil critters. I was like I'M FEEDING THEM WHY ARE THEY DYING and then realized why after the second one passed away 🤣
Thanks, all! @cataclysmicknight We will release a post-jam version with extra content.
I really liked the presentation here, it felt very authentic to the tamagotchi. the graphics the music the minigames are all on point. It's a really inspired choice that both manages to stay on theme and be fun at the same time
the horror element was also nicely done, I didn't find it particularly scary but it's still a cool touch nonetheless, it kind of reminds me of some other games like Pony Island
really good entry
This was a great, solid entry. Beautiful art and colour palette. I love cute and horror combos in general so this was perfect for me :) 3 tiny creatures so you nailed the theme as well. Great variety in the gameplay while keeping it clean and easy to pickup controls.
Cool style and graphics). As for the rest, it’s difficult to say anything else). :sunglasses: But it was fun to play anyway.
I've seen a few tamagotchi-type games for this game jam but this one is by far my favourite!
Below is my gameplay video highlights from the live stream. I love the simulation and the minigames were amazing. Overall I had a wonderful time. Some feedback thoughts: If the player can personalize (name, assign characteristics) the pets more they will have more attachment when they die and the deaths will feel more meaningful. Also the jump scare should not fade, it is a jump scare. Do not fade it in, which is why I giggled and thought it was cute/silly and was not spooked/startled. make it loud. make it fast and in the players face. It is not the pixels/pixel art that makes it not scary, it is the slow fade in and lack of a loud audio trigger to pair. Hopefully this is not overly critical the game is so great and a wonderful experience. Well done!
https://youtu.be/zKSwIrrLCQw
Thanks all!
@tigerj Thank you for the feature! Yeah, personalizing the pets would feel increase the effect when the pets die. As for the jumpscare, I personally dislike sudden and loud jumpscares, and I read there are other horror game players who share this dislike. It was the reason I especially worked on fading in sprite and sound effect there.
@gord10ahmet that makes a ton of sense then! great work!
