LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Aouf Run by shubart 2020-10-14T15:41:47Z

I played it with a gamepad and it worked well. The controls felt good. I played all the three race courses and they had some good variations.

As @twobitmatt mentioned, I also feel that the stopping collison when you veer off-track is not my favorite part of the game.

Apart from that I had my fun with this game. Good job.

Knights of the Holy Loop by RenD 2020-10-09T13:24:46Z

A very interesting game, with a lot of good qualities and some rough edges. The graphics and audio are very nice, which produce a cool atmosphere. The mysterious wanderers are looking fantastic. I like the pixel style and the characters are looking very stylish.

I think this kind of game is hard to make for a game jam, because you put a lot of different characters in the game, which is nice, but at the same time the balancing becomes a big issue. When I first played it, I was never in danger of dying. It was very easy and the "mage" was really strong if he was buffed by the barde. The boss battles were not strategic. It was just a waiting game. Maybe you could reduce the size of the group, so you have to choose carefully between the characters.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed playing that game. It was one of my favorite entries, but because I like it, I wanted to give you some feedback on improving the game. As I said, this kind of game is hard to do for a jam. I hope you will expand the game in the future. :)

Gorilla Taxi by Rongo Matane 2020-10-14T15:12:53Z

sorry double post

Gorilla Taxi by Rongo Matane 2020-10-14T15:12:53Z

I would be a bad taxi driver back in the days without the GPS ;)

But I had a a lot of fun with your game. The mood is very relaxing. I like the idea of the radio. The controls feel good and the graphics were minimalistic, but fitting. It reminded me of the first GTA, where I also liked to just cruise around.

The feedback of the passengers as a text was also a good thing. I knew on what part i screwed up and it felt very good to get over 500$ after some tries. But one little thing, that would make that feedback even better, if you would add some "cash sound" while getting the money.

Great little game, I had a lot of fun. Greetings from Germany.

Free Hamster by Hozoku 2020-10-07T21:06:43Z

I had a lot of fun! I enjoyed crashing against the obstacles and the final screen with the sexy hamster was a nice touch ;) I played with a controller and it felt good, but sometimes the controlls felt a little off. Nice little game!

Crash Thunderstud Returns by JavaSaurus 2020-10-08T15:00:10Z

Hey JavaSaurus, I had a lot of fun playing your game. It is simple, but does the job right. It is also playable on a touchscreen, which is good thing. I prefer the game with the mouse. I liked the one liners and the design. Like @pennycook mentioned it would be nice allowing the player to purchase upgrades whenever they want. For example killing 100 Zombies would get you a bomb.

I also liked the feedback of the breaking fences. I knew when they are about to get destroyed.

Overall I had a good time with this game. Thanks again for your nice stream. Greetings from Grabby ;)

Robetrotter by Tyrael 2020-10-08T15:33:14Z

Nice approach on the loop theme. The minimalistic animation is very nice. I also think that the difficulty could increase earlier. Overall I had a nice time with the game.

Viktor by Palemek 2020-10-14T16:14:11Z

One of my favorite entries in this game jam! :)

What I really liked + very nice style (graphics are good and I liked the starting- and end-screen) + fitting audio + mood (the nice art style and audio lead to a nice mood. It motivated me and gave me a nice feeling) + good animation on the characters

What I would change - it was very, very hard. I played every level, but some parts felt too difficult. Maybe you could add more levels, which are progressing in the difficulty

Other than that, I had a blast playing this game. Very nice! If you add more levels, send me a notification. I would like to play them.

Lƶƶp Runner by Salty Lad 2020-10-07T13:24:32Z

The strong side of the game is the mood. It has a good vibe. It would have been nice, if there would be more obstacles to overcome.

Paper Planes by SamDemaine 2020-10-07T13:07:40Z

I liked the gameplay a lot. I tried to top my highscore many times. It would have been nice, if there would be a soundtrack. Overall a good and fun game.

Sisyphus by PrimalShadow 2020-10-14T15:59:13Z

I've beaten it, I'm out of hell! I had my fun and I was just a little bit frustrated. The choice of choosing Sisyphus is a very good idea for the theme. I like this idea.

The background graphics could use some more editing (too many rough edges). On the other side you did a good job on the character sprite. Good job!

Void Climbers by mumaitron 2020-10-08T15:52:48Z

I like the game mechanic. As some people already mentioned, the controls feel a little bit stiff. Some more speed would be also good. I like the sprite of the main chracter. Reminds me of Ice Climbers :)

iLoop - the 2D endless runner game of a robot stuck in a loop :) by melvinng 2020-10-07T13:35:56Z

Cute character design of iLoop. He's adorable! As people already mentioned, the background is too distracting, because of the strong colours. It looks really nice, but the player wants to keep an eye on the foreground. The sound effect of "getting hit" is a little bit off (comes to late). But if these two things are fixed, the game will be very polished. I had fun with it :)

LD49 — Unstable

Tol by Decentsauce 2021-10-04T20:19:04Z

Very good idea and a nice use of the Ludum Dare theme. The game was very motivating, so I could complete it.

Two levels were a little bit too hard, but overall it was a very nice game. Good job, I had a lot of fun!

Unstable Ground by gamepopper 2021-10-07T14:39:09Z

As everyone else already mentioned: Very good execution of the theme!

The graphics are simplistic, but it is very satisfying to look at the town moving around and to see those little guys running from one place to another.

Sweet and polished little game. Good job!

Unfabled by Kwiper 2021-10-07T14:51:35Z

I had a lot of fun! At first I sucked hard, but after a while I got used to the mechanics and controls. Gameplay was addicting. I also liked the audio feedback in general. You felt the hits of your projectiles, which is important for this kind of game.

Kingdom of Chaos by AXLplosion 2021-10-05T19:08:06Z

Very fun game. I have no complaints, except that I want more mini-games. ;) Maybe you will work on this game and put in some more content. Would be great!

Un-Stabled by funemaker 2021-10-04T19:59:21Z

I liked it a lot! The Voice Over part was a nice touch. I had fun kicking everything away.

It would be nice, if you could kill the persons by kicking the obstacles against them.

Overall a very fun and charming game.

The difficult life of a newborn planet by Saltysa 2021-10-07T15:08:52Z

Nice way of starting the game. I also liked the overall cuteness.

The minigames on the other hand were a little bit annoying after a while.

The music was relaxing and it fits well to the gameplay. I finished the game with the laser shot. It was a nice experience :)

Finite Runner by Anthony Servedio 2021-10-05T18:56:48Z

I had fun with the jumping. The controls felt good. The music was fitting for this type of game.

One suggestion: I think you should have chosen a faster walk animation.

Overall a good entry! :)

Vice - Ludum Dare49 by Truedat 2021-10-04T21:14:28Z

The style is pretty nice! The train in the background, the colours and the movement of the persons are very cool.

The gameplay however gets repetitive pretty fast. Some variety would be nice.

Good job at making those graphics!

LD55 — Summoning

Tristram by Rongo Matane 2024-04-25T16:06:16Z

Wow, you put a lot of great stuff into this game. You can see by the many comments, that this game will rank very high in this game jam and rightfully so! :)

Like some other people mentioned, I think it would be great to have a little bit more control over the party during the fights. It would be also great if I could decide more about the group constellation.

But overall you did a superb job. My favorite thing is, that the heroes are doing stuff in this village. They“re chatting or having a bath. That adds a lot of flavor into the game.

Boiled Hell by Mortith 2024-04-20T12:05:50Z

One of the best games of this Ludum Dare, really awesome! From the graphics, to the music and the addictive gameplay. I enjoyed playing this polished little game. I think you should even expand this marble of a game and put some levels into it, like a little story mode, where you get new recipes for example.

The feedback you get by different sounds and visual effects is really good. I will recommend this to my Ludum Dare team, so they can play it too. :)

I like the Scottish vibes in the music. It's a great OST.

Bean and Brew by RunicPixels 2024-04-16T14:38:45Z

Very stylish game. I think the introduction of the two animals were good implemented, so you can learn it in a good way. Good job!

Arcane Anagrams by edj99 2024-04-25T15:09:26Z

A really cool feature of this game is the increasing speed when you get more letters. Nicely done! The design of the letters or runes is good. But I feel that the two buttons in the corners (the undo button and the submit the word button) could be designed in the same style. Now they are in a low pixel-style, which does not fit the runes. The gameloop is very simple, but it works well. I had fun playing this game.

Summoner's Emporium by imwonderr 2024-04-18T15:04:28Z

I liked the game. Purchased everything which was possible and didn“t get bored till this point. The music fitted nicely to the game and the slimes. The visual feedback in the store was not there. It would be cool to see a new potion standing on the pillar in the store when you unlocked it. Furthermore you could change the colour of the potion depending on what you are selling.

Besides the minor issues with the store, I had a good time playing this game. The artstyle is very nice! :)

Mable’s Realm by yurgio 2024-04-19T11:24:17Z

SStyles93 Could you be more specific with the feedback and give examples? We want to make a Post-Jam version and we could benefit from your observations. Thanks for your comment. šŸ™‚

Demanager by satacat 2024-04-16T14:59:45Z

The strong point of this game for me is especially the audio. Really set a great mood with the casette-player. I also liked the music and the visuals.

Everything has a meaning by nyanpierre 2024-04-24T15:38:39Z

Like a lot of other players have said, it was hard for me to figure out how to play the game. But I think it was also part of the game to figure it out and explore everything. After a while I got the hang out of it. I like that you put a bell into the room to call the wizard, if your done with the level. The controls felt a little bit of. I can“t really explain what bothers me, but running into the summoning circle, even though I just wanted to look in the direction to put my stuff onto it, was one little thing that was a bit annoying.

The music put some nice atmosphere into your puzzle game, I liked it! :)

Summon Salmon by TheJookerful 2024-04-18T14:34:59Z

Nice visuals and the fish is good to controll. Would be nice to have more obstacles and summonings. I`m a fan of the style of the fish ;)

Ezra’s Bloodcall by Senso 2024-04-18T14:05:54Z

I enjoyed the gameplay! The movement felt smooth. Collision with the enemies felt satisfying. :) Unfortunately there was no music track. Would be good for the atmosphere. But you did all by yourself, so I think you made a great game for a jam.

Life of a skeleton by Pimeko 2024-04-19T19:40:53Z

Very funny game! :D I really like the implementation of the theme. The girlfriend really annoyed me, so you nailed that kind of conversation. ;) What would add even more fun to the gameplay would be if there are different "endings". I guess you could come up with even more funny ideas. Congrats to your project!

The Worst Wizard by Gabriel Bissonnette 2024-04-18T17:55:46Z

I mean everyone said it before, but I have to say it again: The graphics are amazing! :) I also really enjoyed the music. The game was short, but very polished. Great work! One of my favorite games so far.

Ancestor Rain by ELLISBUG 2024-04-18T17:37:41Z

Fun game! I like that you could choose between difficulties and I find "normal" quite challenging. It“s cool that you can get "different" endings based on your performance. I think a nice little touch would be, if the flames (when you hit a perfect score) would be animated like the background fire. Only after reading your comment, that there are perfect and good hits I realised why I could not get the 100%. Maybe a little more feedback between good and perfect would make the game even better.

I really like the design of the frogs. Nice touch that you can see little frogs in the settings. :)

Midnight Cheese Quest by Archaeognathus 2024-04-24T16:05:05Z

Nice game and a cool tribute to the wizard in Trine! :) I like the mood you set in this little puzzle game. The mechanics and UI felt very intuitive for me. The controls also felt very good. I like that you used different colours for the blocks, when you summoned a new block chain. Maybe it would help if the colours were even more different, so you can distinguish them more, when you want to remove them. The "punishing system" for falling down on the other hand didn`t feel that good. Restarting was often a better option. Maybe you could use "real" pits, so that you die and get to the last plattform you were standing on. Kind of like in the game Celeste. The blocks could vanish if you fall into a pit. But it“s just a suggestion.

I really liked playing this game. The little practicle effects on summoning the blocks are a nice touch. The graphics are simple, but very clear. I think you should do a post-jam version. You can expand the gameplay with new obstacles, jumping plattforms, enemies and so on. Thanks for the fun I had with this game. :)

Hell Spawn by Babaorhum 2024-04-19T19:29:31Z

The mechanics worked fine. You used the different plattforms nicely in the levels. I had fun to try and discover the new plattforms. I found the "burning plattform" a little bit too loud. I like the mixture of 2D character and 3D background.

Apprentice Binder by andriybyelikov 2024-04-18T14:21:49Z

I really liked the music. Fitted the puzzle game very good. :) I also liked the design of the main character. The environment could use some graphical details. But I liked the overall style. Gongrats to your work!

Bounce Bounce Goblin by Doonutsaur 2024-04-24T16:27:23Z

Very polished game in terms of presentation. Everything is very clear, which leads to an easy understanding of the game. The physics and graphics add a lot to the cuteness-factor of the game. :D

I think it would be better, if you can`t shoot your goblins, when you haven`t selected all of them. Is there a point of not selecting all of them? In my first gameplay I just selected 1 or 2 goblins, but I felt that it“s just a disadvantage to do that. But that“s just a minor thing, which is easy to fix.

The sound effects and the music are nicely integrated. I really like the little detail, that the goblin-canon gets streched out while shooting.

I read that you will keep working on the game. You can write me if there is a new version. Would like to see the improvements. Good job!

HELLSPAWNER by Thomas Gelman 2024-04-20T12:38:09Z

Firstly, congrats to your finished game! I think the enemies felt different enough and I like the style of the characters. I had the impression that the backgrounds on the other hand are a little bit "unfinished". I think it would provide more atmosphere, if there were animated flames in the background for example or more small details in the levels. I really liked that you put different difficulties into the game.

Warlockry by Quinn Davis 2024-04-18T21:44:05Z

The fireball mechanic was a nice feature (bouncing off of numerous enemies heads was satisfying!) But like Custodi I have to say, that it was too easy. Keep up the good work! :)

Ink Summoner by Custodi 2024-04-24T16:49:52Z

Really creative game! I really like the beginning, where you had to write "S" to get started. Like some other people here, I felt very smart. :D The "destroy the obstacles" mechanic didn“t click with me. Maybe it“s because there is no sound effects, but it wasn`t that fun for me. Creating a box and other mechanics felt much better. Some hints felt very nice integrated into the game. For example when you have to draw the "electricity symbol". Other hints are a little bit "lazy" like the arrow in the key room. Maybe you will come up with something more original in the future.

The summoning mechanic was easy to understand and intuitive to use. I think this game has a lot of nice features, but needs some polish at some areas. Really liked exploring this game. Good job, I had fun. :)

NecroBit by comigor 2024-04-21T17:16:19Z

What a great entry! I really liked the graphics and what I really appreciate is the level design. It was fun to get to the ā€žbonusā€œ rooms, because you got nice rewards, especially the devil summoning, but also the increasing strength of the skeletons, which helped a lot in the boss fight. The controls are nice and polished too.

In my opinion it would be nice, if you could tell the difference between the projectiles of the enemies and the shots of your allies. I know you only have a 1-bit style, but you could use a different shape for the ally-shot or for example a black projectile with a white outline. Another thing is that the feedback for beeing hit does not feel impactful enough. Sometimes I just noticed that I was hit, because my health bar went down. A little screenshake or a clear sound and visual effect on the character could help to solve this issue.

But do not get me wrong. I really had fun playing this game. It is one of my favorites so far. :)

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Traction Bugs by TimBeaudet 2024-10-15T14:26:52Z

Cool little game! Had fun playing it till the end. :)

The audio feedback was good, when I lost my little cars.

It happened to me, that I lost some cars when I already reached the finish line and I couldn't do anything about that. I would suggest to change that.

The controls felt alright and the difficulty was nicely implemented. It got harder, but not unfair. The visuals were clear and I like that you put the "credit screen" as an additional track into the game. :)

Ephyra by Flipsy 2024-10-08T09:47:31Z

I liked the relaxed atmosphere of the game. The music and underwater theme (achieved through the art style) were a nice fit to the gameplay.

I think it would be a cool addition, if the jellyfish would bounce back when you hit a wall (combined with a little jiggly animation of the animal itself).

Apart from that the controls felt good and I like the character design of the main character. :) Congrats to your finished game!

Jelly Gang by Split82 2024-10-08T15:28:47Z

I have a lot of good things to say about this game!

+ simple, but very cute graphics. Everything fits well togehter

+ googly eyes make everything better! :D

+ music and mood worked well with the style

++ level design was superb. You introduced every mechanic naturally and step by step.

++ the controls felt good. The chore mechanic (fluid objects) is really good to play.

A little suggestion: I would put the numbers at the goal in the foreground or above or a little sign next to it, because the tiny creatures cover them up.

Such a nice game! I hope we will see new levels in the future. :)

Vox Regis by Sheepolution 2024-10-14T15:29:04Z

Hello @sheepolution. I came here after reading your post-releasing-post on the main LudumDare page. It was very interesting to read and since you will not continue working on the game, I will not suggest any gameplay changes.

First of all, the game was interesting enough, that I wanted to play through it. For my taste it was a little bit too long (had 12 speeches). I guess having a time limit of three minutes would be better for me.

I really like the art style! The picture you've made for the main screen looks good and the "view from above" is also very cool. It was fun watching the little persons killing each other. :D

I think you nailed the theme! Seeing your population as tiny creatures is a nice idea!

The game was properly introduced by the text. I knew what the setting was and I was ready to play the game.

I also like the overall humor in this game. It did not felt that you tried too hard to be funny, it felt very natural in this game. The latin phrases were a nice touch.

Overall it is a very polished game and a great job for only two days! :)

TINY PACK by xk_the_name 2024-10-08T18:36:48Z

I saved all animals, wohoo! Very cool game and on top of that, you accomplished it in 48hours. Very impressive. A lot of people are praising this game, so I don't need to add more. ;)

One suggestion if you should continue with the game development. It would fit your "cube-theme" well, if the snail enemy would have a cubric snail house, where you put the dice in.

Bunny Wrangler by thomz12 2024-10-17T16:05:51Z

Played through all the three difficulty modes, but to my shame I have to admit that I failed at the highest difficulty. :P

Very cool gameloop with a nice core system (creating circles). I had fun doing it over and over. I have played it with my mouse, but I can imagine that it makes a lot of fun playing it with a pencil.

The music and the visuals fitted well together with the Western theme. Nice detail, that the upper counter goes away, when you're near to it with your mouse, so you can see the playing field.

Overall it is a very polished game and I think that three difficulties are enough. But the "easy mode" feels too easy in my opinion. You have 5 hearts (carrots) too lose and the bunnies are very slow in this difficulty.

Very nice, that you've put in a leaderboard for the three modes. Good job! :)

Colony Clash by stormburpee 2024-10-18T18:00:59Z

I had fun beating the game. Some parts had a nice polish to it, like the "moving" cards for example.

But unfortunately I also think the graphics are not "self-made". Either you used an AI or premade assets. I actually watched parts of your stream and all big graphic changes happened off-stream (the background and the animals). If someone here asked you about "the visuals weren't made by you", you ignored the message. Why not just say you did it? I have no evidence against you, it just feels overall very fishy regarding the visuals.

In this screenshot of your stream there are assets, which you used for the game like the hearts, crystals and swords. Why are there so many of them, which weren't required like the calender for example? There was not a lot of time, so why making elaborate assets, which won't be in the game?

Screenshot_Colony Clash.png

Then you're LD-title screen, which is also very elaborate doesn't really fit with your In-Game-visuals (the style of your critters are not coherent). Colonist Clash.jpg

I hope you can put light into this situation, because right now I can't rate your game properly.

Pixel Repair Agency by KirLosev 2024-10-08T10:12:33Z

I'm very fond of the graphic style. Everything fits together well and I like the little things for example the printed text. I felt curious to try every button and explore the UI. :)

People say that it is overwhelming at first and I can understand that. Maybe if you would introduce the different functions step by step it would solve this problem. For example: After finishing a level you would unlock a new ability.

I couldn't hear any sound. Are there no sound effects in the game? If there are please let me know, so I could try it on a different browser.

I think you did a great job creating this game, which feels unique. I'm curious if this game will be expanded in the future. Greetings from Germany. :)

Spoders Run by wupi 2024-10-14T11:51:19Z

I like the Spoders. The little idle-animation they have and the overall style is nicely done. At the beginning of the level I actually liked that I could control everyone at the same time. But it stopped being fun when you had the curves, which lead to the top. Then I had to select every Spoder one by one.

As people mentioned it could use a little more variety. I think different abbilities would be a great addition (maybe paint the Spoders in different colours?). One Spoder could for example build a platform, which can be used by everyone.

As I said it was fun to navigate all Spoders at once and it felt also good to control them individually. So the controls were very simple, but felt good to navigate. Congrats for finishing your game! :)

Animal Arcade by acid 2024-10-14T14:42:16Z

I had a lot of fun playing through this little charming game! :)

The satisfaction of hitting the "enemies" was very good due to the sounds implemented. Being able to hit multiple animals was a good idea. I think the difficulty raise during the game was also fair.

I guess some "boss levels" would add depth to the gameplay. The easiest way would be having a boss animal with multiple hit points or if it should be more complex, then you could add a kind of armour, where you first have to target specific areas on the object before you can attack it.

Good job making this polished game! :)

Critter Conflict by SpiRiTs 2024-10-13T21:07:21Z

What a great game to discover! I played Cuphead and it's obvious, that this game is kind of similar, but that's fine of course.

I love the graphics of the game. The intro, the overall map and the levels themselves are amazing for this short of time. The bosses have personality and the little creatures on them fitted nicely.

It was always visible what kind of attack would follow through little hints, so it was never unfair to me. The difficulty level was decent. I think it was in a good spot for a Game Jam.

The music is in my opinion not on the same level as the visuals. One song was good, but the other ones were not so catchy. But I like the fact, that every boss has its own theme.

The "feedback" of the actions (shooting, getting hit) could be stronger. The little weapon dots and the "dot explosions" are very small and therefore the impact wasn't that big. I recognised when I was getting hit by the enemy or a projectile, but it also felt a little weak for my taste.

The controls felt good. When I was hit I couldn't blame the controls for that. ;) The game overall was a lot of fun for me and one of my favorite games so far. Good job! :)

Fifty Six LilyPads by dhim 2024-10-16T14:42:38Z

A lot of comments. When I think that I already read something, I'll be very short in my feedback.

- I really liked the design of the board. For me it was all the time clear where I could go and what my steps would lead to. The visual feedback helped also a lot. Blinking frogs and highlighting the areas was very good. - The UI is very simple, but fits to the game. The frogs look good. - I also think that the music did not fit. But apart from that the frog sounds were also a little bit too much for me after a while of playing. You used different sound effects, which is a good thing, but maybe it was too loud or just too much, I can't really tell. - The AI was not that strong, but what I really liked is, that you have a Multiplayer mode, which works well. Very cool!

Greetings from our Turn-Based-Strategy-Team to you. 48hours for this product...you've got my respect! ;)

1D-Puzzle by A.Bond 2024-10-15T14:38:09Z

Interesting game concept.

I had fun figuring out how to solve the different puzzles.

Maybe you could have put in small, bouncy bugs instead of a ball, so you would have a link to the theme.

I like the "physics", for example if a ball jumps +8 into the air. ;) I also like the progression of the levels. You added different mechanics into the game after a while, which made the difficulty felt good. Congrats for finishing your game!

Play With Me by gord10ahmet 2024-10-09T11:05:38Z

I liked the overall atmosphere of the game. It reminded me a little bit of "Pony Island" and of course "Undertale" (graphics).

A ducking feature in the "jump game" would be nice as in "T-Rex Dinosaur Game" from Google Chrome.

My favorite game was the "audio game". Good job and keep it up! :)

Luck of the Draw by Cruise Elroy 2024-10-15T14:53:40Z

Fun concept! The base mechanic of the game works really good. The audio and visuals are clear, so you always know what is happening.

For my personal taste the levels feel a little bit to big. Making them "tighter" would make the overall battle shorter, which would be a good thing in my opinion.

I like the different Power-Ups you can gain and also that opponents are out for a while when they have zero health left. Bonus points for the working Multiplayer. Very cool! :)

PLEASE, GNOMORE by CyTheRabbit 2024-10-08T05:18:36Z

The controls felt very intuitive, thanks to the good level layout (for example at the beginning, when you can only past the screen with the gnome followers or else it is blocked by the mushrooms.)

I also liked the attack animation of the frogs with their fists. :D

I got stucked two times in a row at the screen with the three frogs. Couldn't control the game anymore. :( For my taste the gnome walking sound was a bit too much, so I turned the sound off. Maybe you could use something less noticeable, but still a cute sound which is more "in the background"?

The big gnome army felt very satisfying and I was sad, when the frogs killed my small companions with their big hands. :D Congrats to your finished game! Greetings from Stuttgart.

Squizzard by JammedGame 2024-10-09T17:57:03Z

I had fun playing the game till the end. Short game, but satisfying! :)

The lightning strike was the most fun spell to use. I felt the impact of this attack.

In the end I just used the "earth" and "fire" spell, because they killed everything, which made the game very easy.

A cool feature (maybe if you will work further on this game) would be, if different creatures had different weaknesses to certain spells, so every spell will be important.

I like the character design of the wizard and the overall presentation of the game. Great work!

Snail away by Thomas_Bringer 2024-10-10T16:35:25Z

Very short, but amazing physics! I like the little details like the moving leaves when you crawl over them. The controls were tight and I especially liked the rolling of the snail.

The foreground objects were too big in my opinion and covered too much of the screen. Keeping it down or maybe make them transparent would solve this.

The overall graphics were simple, but stylish. Everything blended well together. Nice job! :)

The Seven Guorts by JCoMcL 2024-10-15T11:43:51Z

Very, very short. I would like to explore a little more with this "Guorts Tower". :D

The mechanic worked really nice with the door.

Some audio feedback for klicking on the Guorts would be nice. Putting in a "clap sound" and change the cursor to a clap animation would be fun!

I really like the style of the protagonists with the different expressions. I had fun and congrats for finishing your game! :)

Backpack Dungeon by Neon Glass 2024-10-16T11:38:56Z

Nice little game! But I see that you only have 3 ratings so far. I guess putting your nice title screen as the first picture instead of just the orange "Backpack Dungeon" would help. Pictures of the gameplay or a little GIF would also attract people. Right now you can't tell what this game is about (I know it is in the text, but people need some visuals).

Backpack Dungeon GIF.gif

To the game: It is a really relaxing game with clear visuals and a simple to understand gameplay.

Sometimes it feels a little too slow especially in the beginning.

I liked that you see your highscore at the end. Maybe make the "meter visual display" in the right upper corner a lot bigger, because I haven't noticed it.

The power up system by combining different pickaxes is a good idea and as a player you have to decide when you want to merge them. Congrats for finishing this game!

Leafkin Quest by Ethernal Tech 2024-10-09T12:48:56Z

The graphics were nice and everything fitted together. The "thorn spell" felt very good. It's nice to have such a strong AOE attack.

The magic attack (left mouse) on the other side felt underwhelming damage wise. It's also a little bit tedious to klick the left mouse every time. I would like to just hold it for autoshooting.

Finding the leaves felt more like a time filler. I would prefer it to just appear next to me or at least have some enemies on the way.

The controls felt good and I liked the gameloop, so I ended the main quest and had fun doing it. :) Good job and keep up the great work.

Head'quarters by YogurtTheHorse 2024-10-08T11:58:17Z

I've played around 10 games at this Game Jam at this moment, but this one is currently my favorite game! The artstyle and the little characters are cool. The animations are also very nice.

Apart from that the feedback was clear (for example when I crushed my car) :D and the music was very fitting. The game is super polished and that's very impressive!

Time to Smash by zubspace 2024-10-20T11:45:09Z

Like the others have mentioned, the speeding up of the game after certain points was a good thing. The music changing with the speed of the level was also a cool detail.

The visuals are very simple, but you can see everything very clear, which is important in this kind of game. I like this style. The little waterfall animation is nice. Seeing the little red blood stains on the black and white screen is a neat component of the graphics.

Having a bit more variety in the sound effects (hitting an animal and having a little death sound) would be a nice addition. The "spawn sounds" like the fish-water-sound is well made, but compared to the music it is pretty hard to hear.

It's nice that you get to see your highscore at the end and also get a "title" along with it. :)

Tiny nomads by Vhalenn 2024-10-08T12:20:11Z

Nice visuals! For me it was always clear what I could pick up and what not.

One time the little Nomads where stuck in their cage, but apart from that the game worked well. :)

As @Brainoid mentioned I would also prefer a bit more challenge. Little hazards could be used for example.

What I want you to ask. Did you have further ideas, which couldn't be included in the game, because of the deadline?

Congrats to your finished game! Have fun exploring the other Ludum Dare games. :)

Bug Squad by fabula_rasa 2024-10-14T12:33:34Z

Played trough the game and had a lot fun! :)

Our team made a similar Turn-Based-Strategy game, so I was exited exploring your game.

First of all I like the visuals. The little idle-bouncy-animations look good. The title screen fits to the game. I think if I would change something, it would be the background of the levels. In the end it is just a black screen. Using a background, which does not distract the player, could work well.

I like the progression system of the game. At first I thought: "Why should I get the acorns, if you get them at the end of the level?" But then the cat came. :D It's also nice that the enemies can steal the acorns from you. Falling of the map was a cool element, which added depth to the strategy.

In my opinion the difficulty was well balanced. In the end it is a Game Jam, so making it too hard wouldn't be a good idea. It got harder through the campaign, which is a good thing.

The game feedback is nicely done. You could see the damage delt or if you regenerated HPs. It was clear where I could attack and move my creatures.

Congrats for finishing your game. It was nice playing it! :)

Antonio by benjaminm 2024-10-20T16:06:17Z

Really like the visual approach for this game. The darkness build a lot of atmosphere. You felt kind of helpless with the spiders everywhere and disoriented, because of the maze. That's really cool in this game. The spiders looked scary and the ant looked also well.

The spiders seemed a little bit to hard. Even with "smart tactics" combining the dash and keeping your distance it was hard to fight multiple spiders. It would be also nice if the "healthpack" sound would not be the "you've got damaged" sound effect.

The UI was very simple but effective, bigger bars could tribute to the clarity. Congrats to your project! :)

Cyber Critter by rucksack 2024-10-15T11:10:37Z

@ariast You unlock the first new pieces after finishing level 2, so it's normal that you realized it at this point. If we had more time, we would make it more visible. Thanks for your kind words! :)

@fabula-rasa We also think that the duck body is too powerful. Some stats should be changed. The suggestion concerning the UX sounds like a good idea. We will think about that.

@aviv-levy I will talk about your suggestion ("streamlined in the movement phase") with my team. The ducks need to be nerfed, I agree. Expansion sounds great, but for now we're happy to be finished with the game. :)

tiny villages by OldDog 2024-10-18T09:43:29Z

Great entry and very addicting! :D The visuals were nice and clear and the gameloop works well with buildings, new persons and upgrades.

The UI on the right side was sometimes blocking important parts of the screen, so I accidently clicked on it (I know you can move the camera, but still).

Even though I tried to think about a connection to the Game Jam theme, I can't find it.

It's cool, that you have a day and night transition including battle music. The difficulty was also very good. Not too hard, but you had to put effort in it to survive.

It's a very polished game for 48hours. Congrats. And of course I also played after the ending and at the moment of this GIF it was still very smooth. ;)

Comrats in Arms by pierogo 2024-10-17T14:17:56Z

What a cool game. I did not plan to invest so much time, but I really liked the gameplay! :)

The visuals of the game are very good! The visual feedback (where is the enemy movement radius, right click for seeing the stats) is pretty strong. I like the fact, that the upgrades are visible on the rats. Also the six cheese, which you have to get, is shown in the rat base. Cool details! The game menu was nicely designed and the overall battlefield fitted to the theme. I also tried the "non green filter mode" you implemented, which looks also good, but I prefer the green style over it.

As someone mentioned before. The introduction text was a bit too much. You said there was no time left, but in this situation you could have used very short sentences or even keywords, which wouldn't take so much time to achieve.

It's good that tiles can be blocked, but I can still click on them during the movement phase. If I do so the rat just goes a random way.

While I'm shopping the game should pause. Now if I enter a shop there are enemy movements possible, which I can't see, because I'm in the upgrade menu.

The more time passed, the more problems the AI had. There were too many healing-characters at the enemy side, which made the game pretty easy. You can see it in my picture. There were only two attack characters left (green circle on the right side). Screenshot_Rat TBG.jpg

The audio was also implemented nicely. There are sound effects for attacking the enemy or having a "reject sound", when I don't have enough money to buy something. The music was also fitting and has a relaxing vibe to it.

Great entry and it was nice seeing someone also doing a Turn-Based-Strategy game. :)

Pom Planet by LittleBlackDog 2024-10-10T15:37:57Z

Really polished game! The visuals and the somehow creepy atmosphere give this game a cool personality.

The game was easy to understand and you introduced new mechanics step by step, which is a good sign of level design.

A minor thing that confused me in the beginning. I didn“t understand that I could use the right button for spinning the tiles. Would be nice to see it ingame, because I had to look it up on your game page.

But aside from that everything is fine! :)

build_a_dready_bear.swf by orbitaldot 2024-10-17T14:40:41Z

After a short time figuring out what the hell I'm supposed to do, it was very clear, because the visuals/UI helped. The orders/missions on the right corner told you everything comprehensible.

What I missed is a score for completing the tasks or getting a penalty when I mix the wrong stuff together. Now you can just put something together and give it to the "customer".

The art and overall mood was very weird, but I guess you wanted to accomplish that. :D The style was definitively seen everywhere, not only in the visuals, but also in the music. The different "body part games" were different enough and I had fun putting stuff together. Well done in just two days! :)

MicroMedic by Mechazawa 2024-10-09T20:23:52Z

Played through the game and I liked the presentation of the story through the newspaper. The controls felt intuitive and the background graphics are nicely done. :)

At some point I just flew very close next to the heart and stopped moving there. Could beat the heart all the time, which took out the "moving/flying experience". The little green creatures are a nice addition to the infested heart, but it would help if they also spawned in different areas, so I would have to move my ship more.

The audio didn't loop correctly.

I liked the little explosions of the small enemies and also the death animation of the main antagonist. Felt very good every time to see it explode in little pieces. :) Good job and have a nice Game Jam.

Goobers: Escape from Lab 8 by maymay 2024-10-09T19:49:05Z

Just finished your game. I guess my friend and me played for about an hour. Didn't expect that from a Game Jam product. :D

The different areas are awesome! We wanted to explore everything. The nice little details (I won't spoil anything) are great. We really got addicted to find every possible combination of the Goobers.

We didn't look at your sprite sheet till the end, because we wanted to discover everything by ourselves. We thought that loosing a "red Goober" would dead lock us. We think it would be nice in the introduction to at least show that you can always produce the basic three Goobers with the blue Goobers as shown in this elaborate Paint picture. ;)

Goobers.jpg

One question regarding the winning screen: Did you run out of time, because the picture does not match the graphics and quality of the whole game or did you chose it on purpose?

The "poison area" was a good mechanic, to get rid of unwanted Goobers. I felt a little bit bad killing them. :D The graphics were great and we like the style of the little Goobers. Really good job!

Goobers: Escape from Lab 8 by maymay 2024-10-10T14:22:20Z

@rufenerd Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for the answer! Are you planning to develop this game any further or designing new levels/areas? If you do, I'll check it out in the future. :)

Pied Piper's Payback by Crygos 2024-10-15T12:43:03Z

As a German I'm familiar with this tale and it fits really well to the theme. Good idea!

The graphics were solid. You could tell where you could go and what was a "barrier". The visual feedback for drowning something was integrated, but an additional sound would help to have even better feedback.

The guards in the second level are a good idea for ramping up the difficulty. But they need some changes. The guards are really small and they were pretty easy to avoid (I played on medium). You can see it also very good in @100th-Coin gameplay video, which was played on easy mode. On hard mode the guards seem to be more effective in his video.

The end screen was nicely designed with a reference on how well you've played. Great job and greetings from Stuttgart. :)

Drawer Sheep by RoyRosta 2024-10-08T16:04:38Z

Cool puzzle game! I like the difficulty of the puzzles. The sheep were a nice cuteness factor.

The bottom left and bottom right stones were sometimes confusing to me. It was hard to determine which row belongs to which stone. Maybe reduce the height of the stones by half?

Painting the blocks and sheep was so much fun with little fluffy animations. I tried to colour the sheep in the coffee mug, but it was not possible. I hope you will add that, because it is essential for the gameplay. ;)

Great entry!

Shrimpy by Kultuk 2024-10-10T15:10:20Z

Nice little game with a relaxing soundtrack. :) I personally like the interpretation of the theme in this one.

As @ScrapMetal already mentioned, would it be nice to have a little bit more challenge in the game. Enemies spawning from different directions for example could work for this type of gameplay.

The audio feedback while eating the objects to get points was very good. Nice job and congrats to your finished product! :)

Spider That Is Stuck In My Pc When I Launch GMOD with 1000 mods by ThatFirey 2024-10-10T14:50:21Z

I've played a lot of platformers and this game was a blast to me! The game is very polished and I really liked the controls.

The grappling hook felt satisfying and I liked both attack modes. The shooting was weaker than the rolling, but the advantage of the sooting is that you can kill flying enemies. It's a good balance in my opinion.

The levels were well designed with a fast pace. The HP bar was very fair in my opinion and the instant respawn (if you have HP left) was a good system.

I love the presentation of the game. The menu, the ingame graphic and the transitions were very consistent.

There was just one very minor thing, which confused me in the beginning. When I started the Tutorial I kept leaving the level instantly, because I clicked the "Up Arrow", which was shown above the character. My suggestion is, that you put a sign above the door or even better spawn the character next to the door, so that the situation is clearer (see the pic).

Plattformer cool.jpg

Overall, this is one of my favorite games so far! :) Congrats to this wonderful game.

Tiny Brigades by nataku92 2024-10-18T10:03:49Z

Very cool game concept! If I read correctly, your team will work on this project in the future, won't it?

The balance is in my opinion totally fine considering that you only had the three days of working on this game. I think if you will work further on this game, it is really important that you get a lot of playtesters, who will try different strategies, so you can see what is OP and what is more on the weak side.

The visuals look good and I like the different colours for the different lanes with "grey cards" fitting in every lane. So I always saw what my next move could be.

The boss was also a nice concept with an "attacking" and a more "defensive" round. This part of the game could also get advanced in the future, to get more variety into the game. Different bosses with different abilities would add depth to a post-release.

I talked a lot about future-stuff, but it should show you that I really like this game you released, because I did not see any major flaws which reduce the fun of the gameplay. Good job for finishing this very polished game! :)

RPigG by WeirdBitGames 2024-10-18T17:28:49Z

Really great game! Was fun playing through it. :)

The visuals were cute and very clear. The UI and the overall looks are neatly arranged. The core gameplay mechanic works really well and I think the Ludum Dare version had a good balance. It was more on the easy side for me (had a lot of stars, so I could avoid enemies), but it was fun exploring the game till the end. It was nice that the scenery changed after a level.

I also liked that the pig went from left to right and again to the left. It seems that you have a different approach in the post-jam version, but I really liked it, that the screen is not moving.

Speaking of the post-jam-version. I like it, that you put away the "meat-mechanic" and instead introduced coins to the gameplay. Sometimes the chests had nothing to offer (like in the Ludum Dare version), but this time it is not clear for the player, that you didn't have luck opening the chest. It seems also a lot harder to play and the sword system won't work correctly. The item selection is a cool feature, which adds depth to the gameplay. This game has a lot of potential, if you polish it and get rid of the bugs.

Very cool project. If there will be a further update, tell me about it. Congrats for creating this game! :)

RPigG by WeirdBitGames 2024-10-18T19:07:53Z

I only gave ratings for the LD-version, don't worry. ;) The feedback for the post-jam-version is only writtten in textform, but thanks for pointing this out. Just had so much fun, that I wanted to have more content, so I played the post-jam-version. :)

Solo Hamstering by purplexy 2024-10-13T21:20:12Z

So first of all, my keyboard is broken now. ;)

Really nice visuals. The animations of the characters, the overall mood and the ideas of the different levels, like the body building area, supported the overall mood of the game. The cutscenes added also a lot to this strong point of the game.

What I missed is more minigames. On the ground floor it would be nice to actually take the stuff of the ground (it was just a cutscene). On the other two floors there was only the "space bar minigame" in a different setting. I didn't need more levels (time in a Game Jam is rare), but I would have liked at least different things to do (and it wouldn't require to be complicated).

I felt that your team had a clear idea/vision of the game. You chose a "humor style", which was always noticeable from start to finish. I liked that and I think that's also a strong point of this project. Congrats for finishing your game! :)

Silky Slinger by Shlolo 2024-10-10T14:59:07Z

The strong point of this is the mood you set in the game. I like the "colourless" aesthetics of the graphic.

The controls of the grappling hook were solid, but it would be nice, if the spider wouldn't stop abruptly when you "crash" against a wall. It would be nice if the spider bounces off when you hit something (kinda like in the old Worms games).

Congrats to the interesting game you've made and have fun playing other games. :)

Creator's Dilemma by elykx 2024-10-08T11:40:10Z

The best part of the game is the presentation of the small people. It was fun looking at them walking around. :)

I think the "good" cards were pretty clear in the description. I could get into the gameplay very fast, which is a good thing.

I know that you did it in 48hours, but I would have liked more cards with different effects. You could still use your three main stats, f.ex. a "hard work day card", which provides more food, but decreases the happiness. The game would be more variable.

But mad respect for finishing this game in just two days! Good work. :)

Sweet Home ? by Oduvan 2024-10-08T15:03:12Z

I reached the end of the game and I had fun in doing it. :)

I can see future expansions of the game, for example if you would add buildings (defensive towers, healing bays etc.), which would transform it a little bit to a tower defense game.

The theme was fitting and I got attached to my little ants. The game worked well and it was easy to understand the gameplay.

Congrats to your first Ludum Dare project and enjoy playing the other games. :)

MushMush by Leykal 2024-10-15T12:14:19Z

First of all, I played through the game and had fun doing it.

But I had a lot of troubles with the controls in the beginning. It took me a while to use "E", because I was playing with the arrow-keys. You've made such a clear and nice control-picture, but it would be good to just add the "E" button to the arrow-keys as well.

Screenshot 2024-10-15 135847.jpg

Some people don't have a numpad, so using the controls of the "normal numbers" additionaly would also improve the controls of the game and wouldn't exclude players without this type of keyboard.

The pushable feathers are a nice idea. I realized that I could do it with the stones, too, but I guess it would be visually clearer, if the stones had a brighter colour, so the player knows that he can interact with it.

These are all minor things, but it would give your project a more polished feeling. The overall idea was well executed and the artstyle is a strong point in this game. It was nice to look at the level and I like the looks of the protagonist and the enemies. Good job! :)

Tiny Flings by Shoalmuse 2024-10-16T14:15:09Z

Enjoyed that little physics game. The addition of multiple planets and the teleporters kept the game fresh. The splashed blood was a nice detail, also the camera in the corner.

The sound effects fitted to the visuals, my only wish here would be a little soundtrack (some calm background "space music"). But apart from that, I really liked this game. Congrats! :)

Escape from the Eco-bottle by Stardust_Z 2024-10-17T15:48:32Z

Played through the game and even found out about the many hidden crystals in an area. ;)

The level design was good. The introduction or use of the abilities felt natural.

My main issue with this game are the hitboxes. Collecting the crystals didn't feel so good, because you really need to go to the centre of the crystal. The audio feedback for getting the crystal was too quiet. I had to replay it, too find out if there was even a sound (there is, but quiet).

The dash felt good, also the "climbing" at the walls. The character design and animation was neat and I liked the colour palate you used for this game. Congrats for finishing your game!

RATvolution! by Teamofey Izorsky 2024-10-08T16:27:30Z

My favorite part about the game: The running animation of the rat! :D The graphic style was overall very solid.

Visual feedback for attacking enemies would be great. You could use very simple animations like in the old Pokemon Red and Blue games on the Gameboy. Different attacks or actions would also give the gameplay more depth.

The bread as a starting opponent was a nice touch! A good way of learning the basics of the combat system. Great job! :)

Tiny Fallk by Anekich 2024-10-14T14:07:29Z

Great visuals! I really like the little water-drop-animation and also the overall style and animations of our little fellows. The design of the word and the buildings are also very nicely done. :)

The game was fun and I think you nailed the theme. It has a very relaxing vibe.

What I'm curious about: Did you have any further plans which got canceled due to the short time period? I think new buildings (like an automatic water wheel building) would add more depth to the gameplay. But this is just a suggestion, if you want to expand this game in the future.

Great job and have fun playing other Ludum Dare games! :)

Ants War by Danikmiks 2024-10-10T16:52:17Z

Reminded me a lot of the old space shooter games. I like the idea of a shooting ant.

My main issue with this game is the lack of feedback. Adding audio if you hit something or lasersounds for shooting would increase the overall experience.

Nice that the frogs were following the main ant. That's a good idea.

Stick Racing by Prunus Padis 2024-10-18T17:43:19Z

Lovely art style! I really like this idea.

I think the car physics and therefore the gameplay were not polished enough. It was really hard driving the cars around the corners. More space on the track would be helpful, but then still the driving physics need some adjustments.

The engine sound was really cool and concerning the theme, I also had in my mind, that if there was a "childrens play room" in the background the theme would actually fit very well, because a child plays with his little paper cars.

Seeing the damage on your car through the paper crumble is such a great idea, really love it! The UI on the other hand was hard too read (laps, time). Using bigger letters, for example by using a marker, would help to improve it. But despite that, I'm a big fan of the graphics. Congrats for finishing this game in just two days! :)

The way to the eggs by Gaudy 2024-10-09T17:40:49Z

The visuals of the intro sequence looked very nice. I like the use of the few colours and the design of the bird, who was holding the little worm.

Regarding the level design: Instead of using the big red arrows, which didn't fit to the forrest theme, you could let the player see the ground or make the elevation smaller. Using your blocks to create something "like a stair" would also work. Try avoiding those arrows and let it be more natural, if you know what I mean.

The mechanic of the different creatures with their abilities is a cool concept. Seeing your next game in the art style of the intro would be very interesting. :) Congrats for finishing your game!

Blob Farmer by Atahan 2024-10-20T11:31:19Z

Interesting game! Seems very polished in some areas with nice little details like stuff falling out of the border. if you throw the food in a certain direction.

Maybe I have not seen the value of the card, but the "marketing +10$" seemed very weak compared to other cards. You could still buy it in the advanced shops, so I guess it can't just be a "trash card".

It's nice that you can direct the little fellows by clicking near them. The visuals are very clear and the player has a good overlook thanks to the UI. The blobs have a nice personality, I liked them a lot. :)

LilFoxy's Adventure by Kuroshima 2024-10-20T15:45:07Z

First of all, congrats for realising your first game on Ludum Dare!

The concept was good and the basic controls worked fine.

A problem of this game is the non existing feedback for getting hit or damage dealt to enemies. Sound effects would help a lot here and some visible hints.

The sleeping fox is a cute protagonist of the game. Fits to the theme. :)

LD57 — Depths

Dream Diver by mactinite 2025-04-24T21:26:15Z

Cool visual style and I really like the different fights.

In my opinion the first "tutorial" enemy was too hard compared to the second and third enemy. Switching him to the next room would be better.

The mood was kind of creepy, but in a good way. Really liked the endboss character. Cool that you put in a collision system between the targets and the bombs. Congrats to the 20 ratings! :)

Treasurefall by Local Minimum 2025-04-09T19:26:26Z

Solid base for a game. The feedback for hitting things was implemented, although there was no sound.

I like the sprite of the main character and the bunnies. Showing the movement path on the floor was a good feature. The "walking" animation is cute.

More enemy variety would add depth and tactics to the gameplay and therefore more variety.

The addition of a shop with upgrades was a good addition to the game. :)

Down by Skyeward 2025-04-13T17:28:04Z

Neat interpretation of the theme.

I really like the visuals of your game. The sprites look cute and I also like this "skribbl.io" effect of the moving fonts and pictures.

Sometimes I had a little bit trouble of reading the fonts. More clarity would be good here.

I really appreciate the little sound effects you put into the game. Made it very polished. :)

Cricetus Crevice by MagnesiumNinja 2025-04-08T21:26:24Z

I'm a big fan of the main character in this game! :) Really cool connection between the game mechanic and the hamster, who was walking in his wheel. Great idea!

I like that every anker point is also a save point and that you could undo your actions. The swinging mechanic was fun, but the dash didn't work all the time correctly (maybe I did something wrong?)

The difficulty ramped up pretty quick.

The graphics were good and I really enjoyed ramming through the ressources. It felt very satisfying. :)

Descendant by silkworm_sweatshop 2025-04-21T16:08:39Z

Great entry! :)

You nailed the Gameboyesque visuals. Everything was very clear and UI was good to handle. The game mechanics were nicely introduced by a clever level design. The soundtrack and the sound effects are also good. I actually have nothing to suggest to make this one better. The difficulty curve was fine and I really appreciate the fact, that you could just use the easy route or take the "more-thinking-route", but if you were not able to solve the puzzle, you could still progess. :)

Dino Rush by pixelstuff 2025-04-08T14:53:02Z

The graphics are nicely done. I like the city and museum on the top. The underground on the other hand lacks a little bit of variety.

The perspective is a bit strange, like the guy is floating in mid air.

The UI is self-explanatory and visually clean. I also like the lava effect. The digging-animation was nice. :)

The Cleaner of the depth by Egor Iv 2025-04-14T09:55:50Z

What a great entry this game is! Like a lot of people mentioned the artstyle is superb! The animations were also very good and add a lot to the atmosphere. It's very good that you build in different "clean animations" for the bird, so that there is a variety.

There are one or two sections on the top of the level, where the walking felt a little bit off and it was hard to navigate to the tooth in this area. It would have been great to have controls over the flying of the bird, so I can control the directions while moving up or down.

The sounds are nice, like the sounds of the teeth or the falling letters at the beginning of the game. I really like the UI. It's visually appealing and very clear. Great job! :)

Hollowspire by simex 2025-04-21T22:33:14Z

Great game! Played through it two times, but I also have to check other games. ;)

The visuals are really nice. The UI is very clear and I like the crafting feature.

Although it's "just" a clicker-game, it was a nice twist you put into the genre by using this tower format.

The Deepest Tentacle (WEB) by Baturinsky 2025-04-14T11:01:18Z

Interesting concept. The "censored" message is indeed a funny detail. :)

The difficulty curve ramps up pretty fast for my taste. Having some easier levels at the beginning would be nice.

The animation of the enemies give the game a very creepy mood, which is great. The "death sound" adds also to the mood.

Down Golf by chuckeles 2025-04-21T21:33:41Z

Fun little game! I like the cute visuals and sound effects.

The aim was a little bit confusing, because the ball did not went where the arrow pointed at.

It's cool that you put in jumping pads and used them for the level design. Cool detail, that the tree lost some leaves when you hit it. :)

Drilly's Journey by Alex Davies 2025-04-13T16:45:00Z

What a cool idea! The controls felt good. The base mechanic with the drill felt very satisfying due to the smooth controls and the good sound effects.

There was a part, where the lava touches the ground floor. The collision felt a little bit off for me while I'll tried to jump above it and died several times at this part. Adding a speedrun timer to the game would be a nice feature.

The walking animation of the main character is cute and the graphic style is simplistic, but it looks good and coherent. The level design was very good, too. Really had fun playing this game. :)

DESCEND with CAUTION by LightningST 2025-04-22T11:44:56Z

Awesome game and even a COMPO. I'm really impressed by the amount of things you put into this game. The level had a lot of variety with fun mechanics.

One minor thing: It would be cool, if you would see the timer ingame while playing not just at the end. Apart from that everything was done really well. The little gravestones are a cool visual choice. :)

Granny's Gotcha by Joscco 2025-04-14T10:40:17Z

What a great entry! :)

The visuals are nicely done. The small details, like the little kids getting angry when you pull out something wrong is a nice touch!

For my taste it was too easy and I'm not a big "puzzle brain". Having non moveable things or other game mechanics would add depth to the gameplay. As @kurakurture mentioned: Having a sound effect for grabbing things would be a good thing to have some feedback and it would make the game even more polished.

Speaking about polish. You've done an amazing job here. You have a clean level selector, good controls and a lot of sound effects and fitting music. Absolutely nailed it here! The details in the pocket like the fake ID and other things were nicely implemented. Funny interpretation of the theme. :)

Fantascope Chasm by RubixNoob13 2025-04-22T15:36:13Z

I really adore those transitions to the next level. Really, really cool! :)

I was motivated to get to the bottom of the game. Overall it was a little bit to slow in the gameplay. The levels are big and your character moves pretty slow. Having a faster pace would be great for the game.

The theme was definitely visible and I like the implementation of the theme in the level transitions. I was really surprised that you added a boss at the end of the stage. Great job!

Holy Moly! by Thomas_Bringer 2025-04-10T18:50:18Z

Good quality game like the last entry of yours "Snail Away". :)

The art looks nice and the character design of the main character is cute.

Having more impact if you get hit by a projectile would improve the gameplay even more. The character could be pushed away a little bit for example.

The controls feel super satisfying! I had a blast using the digging mechanic. I like that you can hit the bullets and make them disappear. Cool, little game! :)

Where is Jeremy Wattson? by Dock Frankenstein 2025-04-22T15:53:03Z

I really like those visuals. The animation style was very fitting.

Some more challenging puzzles, like the last one would improve the game further.

It's nice that you put in different characters and that you could interact with them. The transition between levels was a cool effect. The theme is represented in the gameplay by getting stuff from the depths. Good implementation here. The overall style felt a little bit weird, but in a fun way. I liked it. :)

Dyamid by leorean 2025-04-17T16:58:15Z

Incredible good game! :)

I was a little bit hungry while playing, but I had to play through the game, because I had so much fun. I liked the music a lot and for me it was fitting.

As @Aurel300 said, there can be more elements where you have to think more, maybe set up some things in advance. But for a Game Jam it is fine for me. I felt really smart while doing the levels. ;)

The level design was superb! You put a lot of effort into making the sections. And I like the "credits" part at the end. Great game!

Home Deep Home by YogurtTheHorse 2025-04-15T15:06:20Z

Interesting concept. The visuals are superb! Cool animation and a well done UI, especially how you showed when a ressource is missing (jiggling).

It would have been nice to have some gameplay variety, but as you said time ran out.

The music was done really well. It was a chill vibe.

Dig Digger by Transkuja 2025-04-22T11:18:19Z

Cool gameplay loop. It is stressfull, but in a fun way. The menu is really awesome! The details with the drill is a nice touch. The music is implemented very well and the length of the level is perfect. :)

Dig Digger.png

Handbag Havoc by fnelix 2025-04-16T10:08:41Z

Funny interpretation of the theme. Had fun playing the game.

The controls are a mixed bag. Sometimes it felt very good to play with the mouse, for example the first three stages, but other times the hand got stuck and some objects fell through the container (glitch).

The visuals of the game are nicely done. Everything is clear and has a fitting look. It's a nice addition, that you put in a clear tutorial.

Bagatelle by Aune 2025-04-15T17:55:23Z

Awesome little game! Had a lot of fun playing it and trying to beat the previous time. Cool that you added a timer. :)

The only thing, that was a little bit off was the line, where the "ball" should bounce next. It didn't match the actual flying curve all the time correctly.

But apart from that it was everything fine. The music was fitting and the overall visuals were cute and fitting. Good job!

Copper Soul by Kamuniaft 2025-04-15T16:05:21Z

One of my favorites! I was succesfull on my first try, but only with one heart left. :D

I like the lore going on in this game with the mechanical wheels. Could read even more of it.

The changing music was a wonderful touch! Only complaint here is, that some instruments were too overwhelming compared to the others. Could use some sound mixing.

The endscreen was fantastic! Really liked that and the visuals were nicely done. It seemed very polished overall. Congrats for making this little gem! :)

Abyssmall by VladImperator 2025-04-09T16:20:39Z

Very cool little game you've made! :)

As the other mentioned, the visuals are great. I like the main character. His suit and swimming animation remind me of a penguin, which is nice.

The sound effects contributed to the atmosphere of the game.

After my first dive, I also ignored the pearls, because they were so cheap. Thus the hook upgrade was not needed. On the other hand, the other upgrades felt important and you could feel your character becoming better. I think having some obstacles or enemies would improve the gameplay.

The hook and the overall controls felt very good. The screen turning dark without oxygen was a nice touch and I also appreciate that you added a UI scale, because my monitor is quiet big and thanks to this feature I could read everything well. Congrats to this game! :)

Worm Quest by T C 2025-04-16T09:24:13Z

At first I was really confused about the first dash ability at the start. Took me a while to find out, that I had to place a blog underneath it to dig throug the blocks upwards. I think this section should be build different, so that you only have the choice to do that at the beginning, so you can introduce this mechanic to everyone.

But when I found out about this mechanic I had a lot of fun playing this game. The dash, digging up and creating your own path game loop was a cool combination. I like hard plattformers, but mid-checkpoints would be appreciated, because it can get frustrating, especially when you die near the end of a level. ;)

It's nice, that you can kill enemies by placing a block above them. The level design was overall very good and I like the design of the main character. Very cool, that you put in some upgrades, which provided a change in the gameplay. :)

Antz vs Plantz by Blue Pin Studio 2025-04-22T16:38:37Z

What a great entry! :)

The visuals are clear and the graphics are fitting to this type of game. I was always curious, what the next upgrade would be and you implemented a ton of them into the game, cool! I like the little visual hints, when a flower is ready to be build. The boss ants are a nice end game mechanic and the opening screen is really stylish. The sound effects were cute and although you heard it nonstop, it did not annoy me any second. The music was fitting and I liked it. The theme of this Jam is clerly visible. Really good game overall. :)

Faith-e-vator by BadPiggy 2025-04-09T11:59:28Z

The one minute it took me for my successful run felt like an eternity, but I mean it in a positive way! :D The game was really fun to play. When I was so close finishing it and failed, I startet again, because I could not let the little demons win.

The graphics are well made. The animations of the characters adds a lot to the style. The blood particles are a nice touch. The game felt very polished. Hitting things felt very satisfying and the music was a good choice for this type of game. You wrote that you got it from Pixabay, maybe you could add the name of the artist too?

Having some Power-Ups after having a streak or killing a certain amount of enemies would add depth to the gameplay.

The "health bar system" is great. I had a lot of fun with your game. :)

Squirrel swirl by rucksack 2025-04-09T10:04:43Z

@lisek-gagatek Thanks for the good ideas. I keep forgetting to upgrade the squirrel amount, so it would help a lot, if it would flash for a short time. To grey out upgrades or the roads is indeed helpful.

The balance between new towers and upgrading towers is not finished. It was just too late for us to balance it correctly, cause I think now it's is better to buy the "cheap" new towers first.

@broco Some squirrel noises is a neat suggestion! Yes you are right, the game is endless. Our "highscore" is the 4096 upgrade like @lisek-gagatek.

Squirrel swirl by rucksack 2025-04-15T00:29:23Z

@mikemikemakes: Thanks for the good ideas. The branching paths system could be a nice addition, but because of the theme we used the single path, so the player is forced to get deeper as you said. Anyway thanks for the good input and it's cool, that you played it so long. :)

@sangheli: Thanks for the kind words. "Depths" is represented by the fact, that you are going in the depths of the forest. You have a fog of war, so you don't know what will expect you there. That's why we only have a long street, so you get deep into the forest.

@oxnh: The distance is not relevant. The squirrels are just a visual indicator, that the ressource is being used. I tried to make it clear by the symbols, what the towers are doing, but I guess it's too small to recognise. Thanks for the feedback.

Mousehold by NBumgardner 2025-04-16T09:47:26Z

Cute little game. The overall graphics looked good.

Level design could be more challenging, especially because you can "dodge" the traps if your fast enough. Maybe adding a time based obstacle would be good. The cat paw could be used for that.

The mouse looked very good. I liked the walking animation of the mouse very much, so that I kept walking against a wall to see it. :D

Crab Royal by woona 2025-04-08T17:55:52Z

I like the submarine sprite and animation. It was simple, but effective with the bubble-particles. The soundtrack was relaxing and fitting to the theme. But it didn't fit to your storyline (the king wants the crab fast!)

I like that the traps had a chain reaction. A visual feedback for damage would improve the game even more. A little screen shake or a colour change of the submarine could help.

Important for this game is the controls and they felt very good. The turning of the submarine felt intuitive. Good job! :)

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-14T09:41:20Z

Fun little game!

I really like the background art in this game. The music was fitting and I like the short story section at the beginning of the game.

Sometimes I had the feeling that the chance of evading the lava balls was zero, because they were coming from different directions at once.

Apart from that the game loop was fun and I like that you chose a pizza as a health bar. :)

Belials Bellybutton by Kujoen 2025-04-08T16:40:51Z

The UI is simple, but effective. The controls felt good, the navigation worked fine. My only complaint here: I would have prefered, if you just used the mouse buttons instead of adding the space-button for the harpoon. It felt counterintuitive to me. The swimming on the other hand was good.

I also did not notice, that you could kill the fish. Blocking the path with jelly fish at the beginning (like you did at some point) would help to educate the player in a natural way. But I really appreciate that you put in a tutorial.

The atmosphere is very nice! The sound effects supported the uneasy feeling to be stuck in the depths of the ocean. As someone mentioned, I also like the small detail, that the swimmer looks around. The swordfish scared me. :D Good job!

Explodicaves by ThatFirey 2025-04-17T17:45:44Z

Interesting and cool plattformer game!

The visuals look good and the UI is clear. I like the graphics and little animations of the characters.

One minor thing: When I shoot at an enemy (for example the big crate at the beginning) I did not realise that I did damage to him or even could kill it. If you put in some visual feedback (for example blinking enemy) it would make the game even better.

The overall polish is done very well. I think the level design was good, because the jumping by shooting on the ground mechanic was not introduced by a sign rather by the level itself. Good job! :)

Doodley Descent by LarsieVL 2025-04-22T15:05:37Z

Hey Lars, fun little game you've made.

The controls felt good and I like the visual feedback you get, when you hit an obstacle.

I think it would be great, if the left bar (dash bar) would change its colour, if you are able to make the first dash. Because now it is hard to keep track over the dash ability.

Apart from that the UI was very clear. I like the "starting screen", it was nicely implemented. Greetings from another Lars. ;)

The 7 Questions by AweSkyBear 2025-04-15T13:42:06Z

Interesting concept and interpretation of the theme.

It would be cool, if you could choose "branches", for example giving an answer to a question leads to a certain path of other questions. But I guess it would be too time consuming for a Game Jam. :D

I like that you added bird sound effects, that was fitting.

Deep Dreamers by Hinamarina 2025-04-14T10:54:20Z

Really like the visuals of this game! :) The animation of the portal when you pass through it is very nice. The controls felt good and the shooting mechanic worked fine.

As @baturinsky mentioned the game is not using the full potential of the carrying mechanics, because I also feel that it is always "walking without the girl to clear the path" and then "walking with the girl".

Apart from that I really like this little plattformer. Good job.

Hireblades by quasilyte 2025-04-08T15:14:47Z

I'm impressed by the amount of different units and their capabilities. It's cool that you can backstab and that you build a moral system into the game.

How is this game connected to the theme? I could not make a connection, maybe "strategic depth"?

The level progression is good. After each level was a new unit to discover. I personally would have liked to gain access to the archers after I defeated them.

Everything is really great, but I think the audio was the weak point.

It's cool, that you could level up your units and I like the style of the UI.

Really complex game for such a short time! :)

Not Too Deep by Crak 2025-04-09T17:07:26Z

One of my favorite games so far! What a blast! ezgif.com-video-to-gif-converter (4).gif

I played it with my Drawing Pad and it worked fine. :D I started multiple runs, because I wanted to discover the different outcomes of the situations. I really like the humor, even the gross stuff. The sound effects are nice and the game feels very polished with nice transitions between the levels. It's also an interesting approach of the Ludum Dare theme. Congrats to this awesome game! :)

Endless Depth by Dywanix 2025-04-08T21:14:08Z

The minimalistic artstyle is great.

The feedback for getting hit by a flame for example didn't feel impactful. A little animation with a sound would improve it.

I liked that you shuffled the map sections after deaths, so it wasn't repetativ. The sections were nicely designed. I had fun playing this game. :)

BURIED by meylish 2025-04-08T15:58:44Z

What a great title screen! Really good looking.

@antonin-granados I also think that you should get a hint, where the big boulders are going to fall...maybe even with the small rocks. So at first there will be a small rock at the path, so that the player can react for the big boulder, which follows the small one. It wouldn't destroy the immersion like a "game typical" exclamation mark.

The main character looks good. The atmosphere is the strong point of the game. The water drop sounds are a nice touch. The audio is overall nicely implemented.

Stolen Heart by LyaMgtt 2025-04-09T17:40:11Z

I read through the comments and I can fully underline the strong points and the needed improvements of the game.

As people mentioned: The visuals are great. The card design is good and the icons on the cards are visible and clear. The overall style fits together. I like the colour palette. The pictures are well made.

I can't make a connection to the Ludum Dare theme "depths". Could you tell me what your idea was? You asked in a post, if the boss is too strong and I think the difficulty from the last enemy to the boss was extremly high.

It's very nice that you could choose from different starting characters with different abilities. I'm curious how your project will look in the future, if you keep working on it. Congrats for finishing the game! :)

We're at the bottom by ChiFu 2025-04-22T15:20:54Z

Wow, that was a lot of fun!

I actually like the game as it is, no need to change or add anything.

It's cool, that you put in two different languages and you used the little game mechanics in a creative way.

People refer for example to the Stanley Parable, but for me the style and mood reminded me of Undertale. It was a little bit weird, but in a very cool way. The humor was very good and didn't seemed forced. Very good game! :)

Descend by Placeholders 2025-04-22T10:37:24Z

As a lot of people mentioned, the mood is absolutely good in this game. The atmosphere is top notch.

Some more gameplay variety would have been nice.

I like the visual style of the game. The worm at the end was cool. And I especially adore the "ball falling from the tower effect". It looks really cool, when you kick it down from different places. :)

A Well to Wonderland by Mathieu Chougui 2025-04-14T10:11:44Z

Cool entry. The game loop was interesting and fun. The art is very good. The health bar is visible and fitting to the style.

I found the "arrow keys" sections to be too easy, while I had a lot of troubles passing through the other obstacles (the timing one) and I have gaming experience with this kind of obstacles. Something felt off.

The music is very nice. I like the beginning of the soundtrack (clicking till the level starts) and the rest of the music added to the atmosphere of falling down. Congrats to this game! :)

into the forest depths by Fliegen 2025-04-14T08:16:26Z

Cool looking game! It has Darkest Dungeon vibes, really liked it. It's very nice, that you can target different body parts and that it will cause different effects (no hands = no attack, no head = instant death), but I do not understand what missing legs are for. I thought you could run away when they are missing.

An inventory system would be a nice addition. Having healing potions, armor parts and stuff like this would add depth to the gameplay, which felt a little bit repetetive. I would also prefer faster turns. Having little sound effects would add a lot to the polish of the game.

The character design was overall nice. I really like the movement of the character on the map screen, which is a nice part of the game. It's neat that you could choose different lanes in some occasions and that you have some dialogue options which have an effect. Congrats for finishing this game. :)

Shelter from the Blight by Yiraa 2025-04-10T16:33:17Z

The screenshot made me wanna play the game and I was not disappointed. I had fun playing the game and reach the end. :)

As people mentioned above: The game could be faster and the building placement could be more strategic (for example buffs if you place it in a certain order). It would be nice if I could place the same building type multiple times, so I don't have to click on the build button again.

Here are some things I really liked about the game: + layer system was cool! Switching between layers looked good and the theme was used in a creative way. + new sprites on each layer was a nice touch + sound effects when placing a building + graphics looked good, I like the art style

Cool little game. Congrats for finishing it. :)

Into the Depths by byebye 2025-04-15T15:30:47Z

Had fun playing through the game till the end. :)

The gameplay in the dungeon was too repetetive. Could use more variety instead of just chances beeing shown.

The sound effects, the visuals and the UI were all solid and it fitted together. I got addicted to get to the end. ;) Nicely done!

. by protzz 2025-04-09T11:37:22Z

First of all hats of to you for creating this game in such a short time by yourself. Impressive!

I like the visuals of the game. The graphic style is cool and the rabbit design is well made. The sound effects underline the atmosphere. Just a minor thing: Calling the corporation "the FART corp" didn't fit in a game, which has a dark and serious atmosphere. And I can appreciate a fart joke. ;) Except from that the atmosphere is really strong. I like the little walking sounds when you progress to the next level.

As @pandalk mentioned, I also feel that the controls felt a little bit counterintuitive. Maybe just having a drag and drop system would make it smoother.

I like the level system and that you can upgrade stuff. The game loop was fun, which is really important. This game felt like a mix of Inscryption (as you mentioned) and the last years famous entry "TINY PACK." I think you will get a high place in this competition. Good job! :)

. by protzz 2025-04-10T07:50:30Z

@protzz Yes, I can also rate it on the itch-page. :v:

The Trench by atsh 2025-04-14T11:09:58Z

As a lot of people mentioned: The sonar effect is really great! :)

Your idea of having a challenge in between like taking pictures would improve the gameplay and I think it is now missing.

But still, I had the urge to discover the bottom of the ocean. The collision of the submarine with the surface was nicely done. The surprise at the end was cool. The trivia about heights was also a cool feature of the game. Good job! :)

Cursor Descend by FoxEcho 2025-04-13T16:15:40Z

I had fun playing through the game (did it on a Laptop with a Touchpad). I think the difficulty was balanced enough. The different speed sections was a nice touch.

The rotation was not needed in my run. It would be cool, if there was an indicator when you are close of being out of bounds.

Nice interpretation of this years Ludum Dare theme. :)

The Shallows by Ljs132 2025-04-13T17:38:15Z

I like the visuals of the ship and swimmer. The little bubbles coming from the swimmer are a nice touch.

I think the amount of oxygen at the beginning was too high. Made it quiet simple.

The upgrade system felt good. You could feel the better swimming upgrade for example. Upgrading your stuff in the ship felt good. You could leave it by just pushing down, I liked that. The fact that you could fly in the air was funny, but I don't think you intended it. :D Maybe just adding an invisible wall on top of the ship would fix this issue.

Cool little game with good controls. The animations of the swimmer looked nice. Congrats for finishing your game! :)

Devour by ScoobySnacks 2025-04-22T14:24:18Z

Fun little game. I think the length of the level was perfect. There was just one UI element, but this was a nice choice.

Having more visual and sound impact when getting the fish and dolphins would make the game even more satisfying.

The mood is pretty good. The visuals were simple, but effective. The colour red showed you immediately what you shouldn't touch. It's funny, that you can take the ship at the end. :)

Luck Runs Out by Tenzz 2025-04-13T17:17:26Z

Interesting approach of the theme. I like, that there are some "pictures" in the background.

For my personal taste it felt a little bit too long due to the slow movement of the ball.

I like the minimalistic visuals. The sound effect while you get a new message was very fitting. It's cool, that you can also go to the left at the beginning. Thanks for sharing this game. :)

Helluva Ride by Lazar Cvetkovic 2025-04-09T16:41:41Z

Fun racing game! The style is very good. Starting with the title menue (the effects on the start button are nice) and continuing with the game graphics. I really adore the fire sprites with its 2D-effect. The level design is good. You've put a lot of variety into the game, although the burger part was too slow for my taste. I get the message behind it, but it felt too much for me. The jumping level on the other side was very cool.

Instead of having three lives and starting all over again, I think it would be more motivating if each track would have a timer, where you have to reach certain time goals (and if you have a very good lap, you get a gold medal on this track).

The controls felt very good! I had a lot of fun driving the car. :)

GRAFFITI TOWER by VertSight 2025-04-08T15:26:55Z

The main character was nicely animated. The jumping felt satisfing, thanks to the good controls, which is essential for this kind of game. It would be very cool, if you could break through multiple layers with one jump, if your timing is correctly. I think it would give the game a very nice flow.

The visual feedback was very good, like the splashing colours or the changing eyes or the spinning effect. You also put in some comments and got a combo-counter. Congrats for finishing your game!

Depths of Color by threegoldeneggs 2025-04-22T10:52:30Z

Cool little game idea! The game had a good length and the gameplay is fun. The cat sound when completing a picture is a nice touch!

A little suggestion for the visuals. I think it would be nice, if the background would be more like an art museum (you can still put cat elements in it) and if each picture would have a picture frame.

Apart from that I really enjoyed this game and you chose different and cool famous pictures. The interpretation of the theme is great! :)

Depth of Moments by Lev Ramburg 2025-04-09T10:37:02Z

Played through the game. The art is really good! I like the small details, for example if the campfire burns you can see the light reflection on the characters. The character designs are nice. I really like the dog. :) The animations also add a lot to the atmosphere.

Adding small sound effects for opening the car drawer or taking the mushroom would enhance the atmosphere and gameplay even more.

Like other people said, the backpack was problematic. I had to try it a few times. The other interactive stuff worked well. Congrats for finishing the game! :)

LD59 — Signal

DIG_POD by a333 2026-04-20T22:43:02Z

Very cool and polished game! The atmosphere was great. The upgrades felt satisfying, especially when you upgrade the collector. :)

I like that the armor of the ship visibly changed in the upgrade screen. Would be even cooler, if it would be visible on the ship while playing. The overall graphics are great.

I was not expecting a boss fight, but I really liked it. The audio feedback was on point. The "signal wave" was a nice addition. The movement felt also very responsive and good. I had a lot of fun exploring this game and get deeper into the level. Really great entry! :)

Signal Towers by GanonsSpirit 2026-05-04T11:21:29Z

As the other people mentioned, the game is very short, but has potential to become a good puzzle solving game. If you plan to further expand the game: It would be nice if you can see the range of the towers before you place them.

Bons Baisers de Roquebrise by Kerdelos 2026-04-22T15:07:38Z

Cool implementation of the "lighthouse view" and the Minimap.

I like that the radio "shows" the music beats. It would have been nice if the frequence in the lighthouse also have been animated and not just a still image.

Apart from that the lighthouse controls are good, because everything is clear to read. :)

Trail Signal by uvwar 2026-04-21T18:54:17Z

Very interesting mechanic. It was fun playing around with the lines and balls. Adding a smooth zoom function (like with the mouse wheel, so you can have really small steps) would feel much better in my opinion. It is nice how simplistic yet so engaging this game is. :)

AIST: Absolutely Irrational Sapper Technology by chakramgl 2026-04-21T12:26:35Z

Nice game mechanic! The satisfaction for killing enemies was high, because of the explosion FX and the screen shake. I just missed a little and short explosion audio effect, which would add more to the satisfaction.

It is a nice touch, that you can see the hair colour changing depending on your selected signal. I like the different enemies and the graphics are very nice. :)

Missed Signals: Road Rage Frenzy by Random-storykeeper 2026-04-27T17:34:48Z

Short but fun game! I like the gameplay, but would have liked more content like @grimslinger suggested. You could also add different level layouts from beginner to extreme, where you have to handle much more signals. ;)

Apart from that the controls feel good and the music was fitting. The crashing cars are a nice touch. You could also change the formula and the goal would be to get as many cars crashing as possible. :D The "patience circle" of the drivers is implemented well. Overall it feels like a polished game with cute graphics. Nice job! :)

Alpine by RenD 2026-04-22T12:53:01Z

First of all very polished game!

The Celeste vibe is definatly there, but you put on a different gameplay mechanic, which was more fun than I expected first. The controls felt very good. The level design is well thought out. It shows that you have experience in the gaming field. :)

The little puzzles are fair and I like that the spark is opening and closing the door.

The only "ok" thing is the music. Don't get me wrong. It gets its job done, but it is not on the same level like the rest of the game, because the rest is top notch! But I see that you did all by yourself, so I can imagine that it had not the biggest priority.

Is your characters name coincidentally "Copper Dan", the brother of our main protagonist "Cable Man"? Multiverse chance for our games. :D

The cable getting red was a very nice touch, so you could always tell, how much space you had left. All in all very good plattformer with very nice graphics. I had a lot of fun completing the game. :)

Signal's Shift by Snowdrama 2026-04-28T15:17:26Z

The length of the game was well chosen. I was motivated to play it till the end. :)

Like @ismael-rodriguez mentioned I also have been playing a lot of "signal tuning games" in this Jam, but I found your system very satisfying. Having the two seperate waves was a very good addition!

Having more complex levels would be nice, but as you mentioned the time was ticking. The levels which are in the game are fine for the beginning, but I found them a bit too slow. The moving plattform could be faster or the lenght of the lanes shorter, because you just have to wait on them.

The graphics in the background are nice and the overall mood you have created was very atmospheric for me.

A Signal in the Woods by Ethan Allwood 2026-05-07T10:55:01Z

That was a fun playthrough. I really like the graphic style of this game. Only complaint here for me are the cards. It would fit more to the game if they would be in a pixel style like the rest of the game.

The animations are nicely done. My favorite is the four legged monster. :)

The controls felt good and it was fun to shoot my fireballs. The variation with additional healing spells was nice.

TellyBuddy by ColeSlaughter 2026-04-22T12:10:03Z

That was a lot of fun! The graphics are nice and the idea with the TV with the face on the back (TellyBuddyā„¢) is very good.

I had some troubles activating the chin. Everything else worked fine.

I like the puzzle ideas. I think every puzzle was doable. Felt like an escape room. You used the different gameplay mechanics in a good way.

Special props to @coleslaughter. Your performance was funny. I guess you had a lot of fun filming that stuff.

Can you tell me what the end is supposed to mean? Or is it open for interpretation? :)

Signal Steve by Isaac Hisey 2026-04-23T15:34:39Z

I like your puzzle ideas. With even more mechanics there is plenty room for more fancy riddles. :)

I think it would be a good idea to put the tipps/hints of your game on your game-page here on Ludum Dare too (especially that you can interact with the door). Otherwise there is a lot of text to read.

Very interesting game and the theme is absolutely visible.

RoboNET by neowhoru 2026-04-29T07:56:05Z

I had fun beating the game. Shooting down those little humans was fun.

An additional sound effect for hitting/killing an enemy would add more feedback for the player. Having enemies, which take more than just one hit would be also a nice addition.

The change of scenery was nice and I liked the little details on the outside level like the car wrecks. The UI shows when the gun is ready to use, which is a good implementation. Congrats for finishing your COMPO-game! :)

The Sound Store by Jejkobb 2026-04-20T23:16:22Z

Very nice drawings! I really like the graphic style. The background UI with the clock is very fitting. Nice that you added a little slide show in the beginning.

It is cool that the people are making different sounds. It also helped, that you showed what parameter was not right, if you didn't completly matched the signal. Great entry. :)

Effigy of the Sky Lords by Purrseus 2026-04-23T14:44:04Z

Great presentation! You built a cute little world where you can unlock new areas. I liked that.

The walking sound was too loud in my opinion. Apart from that one sound, I liked the other sound effects a lot.

Congrats for finishing this game all by yourself. :)

Lit Up! by Fis 2026-04-22T12:27:14Z

Nice little plattformer. Main character is very cute. I like the expression change, while getting wet.

Adding heavy rainy clouds, which destroy you on impact, but have a pattern where they change between raining and not could be an additional gameplay feature. Being able to jump on the wall like in Super Meat Boy is a mechanic I like, but I couldn't get it properly work in your game. Something is missing for me in the controls here.

Apart from that the controls felt good and I like the aesthetics of the game. Everything is very clear to read. :)

Jim's Quest for Birthday present by Sobigdrasil 2026-04-24T12:45:43Z

Great little concept you've got here. The little intro was a stylish and good choice. You immediately knew what to do.

I personally would have liked it, if there would be a number above the treasures, so you know the value.

The little animations around the house like the old guy smoking or the dog is elevating the chilling mood.

played it.png

The music is fitting and I like the song. Has a good amount of variety. The game progression system motivated a lot. :)

Smoke Diss by Andreas Roschal 2026-04-21T23:19:18Z

The graphics are nice. I like the river animation and the movement of the blanket looks really good. The gameplay is intuitive and the "helping tutorial hand" helped a lot in the beginning.

Having bigger numbers, when you achieve better insults, would be a good visual touch and would add to the motivation. Little sound effects while triggering the insecurities would also enhance the feedback additionaly to your exclamation mark.

Nice implementation of the theme. Had fun insulting the other tribe.

"Baby ugly and not strong." - some native american tribesman. ;)

Cadence of Glob by Orjan 2026-04-22T08:40:37Z

I still have to grief about the loss of B.A.L.L. He was a great friend of mine. ;)

As the others mentioned, the artstyle is great. The expressions of the characters were nicely implemented. Just playing around with the ball was fun for me.

The game felt a little "slow" for me in between the signals. Having more things you can interact with (like the amazing ball) would have made the experience even better. Having a scoreboard visible during the game or at least during the signal part would also be good.

It is nice, that you have a score comparison to a developer at the end, so you can see how good you played the signal parts. Congrats for finishing this game. :)

No Signal by dk5000p 2026-04-20T22:20:29Z

Interesting idea. It is cool, that you can go back to the choices, when you get the game over and don't have to restart from the beginning. Would be great if there would be even more paths to different endings. Adding some sound effects would also add to the atmosphere. Congrats for finishing the project. :)

Pawn Patron by deformhead 2026-04-22T16:24:30Z

I like the character design. I also like the sound FX and the attacks of the enemies.

The audio did not loop well. The transition is very abruptly.

The overall style fits together. :)

Robo-Miners by Wizard 2026-04-24T18:03:08Z

Fun little game. Sound effects were of course very funny. DÜDÜDÜDÜ. :D

I also think that a goal would be nice and maybe some kind of enemies or obstacles to get more variety.

But the base game was fun. For me the controls felt fine. Very cool detail: the "destroyed" miners are still floating around, when you control the new one. Found that really nice. :)

Signal Quest by Slowline 2026-04-29T13:29:48Z

Very interesting game and very polished! The visuals are nice and coherent.

The feeling beeing alone in a small spaceship was captured pretty good, but as @kayrum mentioned, a more powerful song would make it even better.

There are quite a lot of minigames in this game, so content wise I was satisfied. And the variety was also good.

I like the detail on the opening menu screen where the ship changes direction when you hover over the Start button ("find signal"). :)

We Come In Peace by Transkuja 2026-04-26T20:53:44Z

I like the playing field. The planet, your own ship and the UI is well sorted. The red/green signal mechanic is very interesting.

Having more animations and explanations what the enemy will do would make the game even more polished, but I played the JAM-release and 1.1 and I see that you already put stuff in it, like the planet attack animation, which is very nice. :)

I like your little tutorial in the beginning, which helped understanding the game. As already mentioned by someone above me, the mood is really good.

MEGAHONK by kuviman 2026-04-28T16:15:38Z

Haha that is a nice little game. :D Easy to understand and fun.

I actually really like the driving controls in the game. I want to play an overview racer with this kind of control and the "bumping physics". :)

Coo-Coo, Chef! by poboy 2026-04-29T10:14:59Z

Nice graphics and I like the introduction screens with the character portraits. I am a fan of the fish with his cute ribbon. :)

I really liked the soundtrack of the game. It was fitting and had a lot of variation.

An inside view of my head trying figuring out the controls of the game. ;)

birds overcooked2.gif

Guiding Signal by Kevin Meissner 2026-04-28T16:31:43Z

Like many people already said it: Very nice graphics! The overall style of the game is very good. :)

Having a way of speeding up the time would be a nice addition for me. But maybe it would change the mood of the game too much, which is very relaxing and nice.

The placing of the towers and the behavior of the ships are well designed. I really like that the ships are exploding. :D

New London 3D Turbo 2000 by Revetoon 2026-05-05T14:57:47Z

What a great game. Played the old version and the newest one. Changing the first task to a MINIMUM speed limit was definitely a great choice. :)

The controls felt good. Only complaint here: Having more speed while reverse driving would be good in my opinion.

Overall there was a lot of content in the game. The tasks are different from another, so it keeps you motivated. Played it till the end and had a lot of fun doing it. :)

Cableman [a rhythm game] by rucksack 2026-04-25T09:24:21Z

@alaah Thank you for uploading your gameplay of "Crypt of the CABLEdancer". ;) It's always nice for our team to see how people are playing the game and how dedicated many of you are to completing all levels. Thank you for your kind words at the end.

@half-animal-half-beast Thanks a lot for your comment! Good idea with the progression bar. We will definitely think about it. :)

@purrseus "Holy shmeckeroly" is such a great expression. :D Thank you, and if you don’t want to stand still, you can always jump back and forth if there’s enough space.

@braktheman Congrats for beating the game and thank you for the nice comment.

We had a lot of fun with this project and reading your comments and watching your gameplay on Twitch or on YouTube is just awesome. :)

Cableman [a rhythm game] by rucksack 2026-04-29T13:04:20Z

@wendel-scardua Under 100 deaths after bonus levels is quite good. Thank you for the kind words.

@fassenberg I have checked your game and commented it. Nice to see other rhythm games. :)

@mostlypants That is such a nice compliment, thank you for that!

@pipetto Thanks to the support of this community, you included, we will announce something in the next days. ;)

@python-b5 Pics do not work on LD page right now. What was your death count?

Cableman [a rhythm game] by rucksack 2026-04-29T17:24:55Z

@python-b5 Ah thanks and good that pics are working again. Under 100 deaths is not bad with bonus levels. :) Some people die over 200 times. @decadedecaf is still the best here with just 27 deaths.

Holy Light by Tvorojok 2026-04-23T17:35:23Z

Interesting experience. The "buttons" are nicely implemented into the gameplay. The exclamation mark is a good touch and doesn't destroy the vibe, because it is not flashy or anything.

As someone mentioned before I was confused at the first battle. I did not realise that I was the archer and thought I am the guy in the front row. Having a visual hint in the beginning would be nice.

Apart from that I had fun shooting the arrows. :) The graphic style is beautiful and you created a very strong mood.

Mixed Signals by universeflow 2026-04-27T15:13:44Z

That was fun! :) A second song would be nice, but I like that you got some variation in the song over the time if you keep playing. The graphics are nicely done and the introduction screen with the gameplay overview makes you understand the gameplay quickly. I like that it gets more difficult over time by adding more characters. Very cool that you added a "hard mode".

The finger on the smartphone, which shows you when you loose, could be more visible in my opinion.

Apart from that I think this is a very polished game with a fun game loop and a nice take on rythm games. Nice interpretation of the theme. :)

speed date.jpg

HeliRescue by darkshadow 2026-04-28T16:08:45Z

Nice little game! The controls feel good and the graphics are simple, but with nice touches like the saving guard appearing.

I know that you made a COMPO-game where you have so little time, but I think it would have been possible to implement a better UI. It is too small and not stylized at all.

Apart from that the game feels polished and I like the audio signal on the copter. Great job! :)

Reaper: Savior of Souls by Link270 2026-04-24T12:08:24Z

I like that you used only a few colours in the game. It gave the game an own identity and fits good to the reaper. The overall gameloop is fun. The upgrade tree is nicely implemented.

@baconater2141 I really like the song you created. :)

I would have liked more visual feedback while gaining the souls. Maybe adding a pulsating blue fire (the one in the upper left corner) when you collect a soul would help.

I played the newest version (1.1.7) and got a similar visual bug like @ManTou, but in my case with the font. asdsdd.png

The camera movement in the title screen was very cool. Your description of the goal and how you interact is very clear, so you know what to do. The style of the radar is also very nicely done. Congrats for finishing your project in time! :)

Hijack Waves by JuanRod707 2026-04-22T15:21:35Z

I really like the voices in that game. Gave me strong oldshool-RTS vibes like in Command & Conquer.

I think some easy and quick tutorial levels would have been better than just text boxes.

I really like the graphic style. Everything fits together and the colours look good. The UI is very clear and the controls are very responsive. The music adds a lot to the already good atmosphere. :)

Broken Jukebox by Pimeko 2026-04-23T18:03:36Z

Very cool game idea! :) I had fun playing with the jukebox.

Sometimes the audio could be very loud, when a song was switching. I always turned the volume down, when I knew there was a transition. :D

I like that the clubbers are dancing to the beat. Thanks to the clubbers you can always tell what is missing.

Pressing Signals by partialmoon 2026-04-20T22:55:36Z

Fun little game. The audio feedback was great. Also the visual feedback. You could always tell if you pressed the right button. It is also nice that the shapes of the two letters are different.

I like that the enemies are health bars, so you could tell when they explode.

As you said some music would be nice and personally I would have liked it, when there would be even more buttons to press (the further the gameplay, the more buttons).

Overall it is a fun and polished game. Congrats to that! :)

RADIO CORE Last Signal by attentionadmin 2026-05-02T15:28:19Z

I was at wave 6, but my turrets stopped shooting. When I was able to build new turrets, they were able to fire, but it was too late. So the turret mechanic seems buggy.

Apart from that I really like the idea of an expanding building grid. The upgrade menue is a nice addition. Having a button at the bottom to open it would be even better, so you can just play the game by using the mouse.

The song is fitting and is a good background track. The overall UI is neatly arranged. :)

Smoke Show by Crygos 2026-04-24T12:59:12Z

Nice theme interpretation, which is also used for the gameplay. I like that. I also like that you put in a score system and that there are different difficulties implemented.

Signal Colors by robin_schmitz 2026-04-30T15:13:13Z

That is a very polished game! :) Had fun playing it. The UI is very clear and tidied up. The graphics are simple, but it looks good and the colours are chosen well.

Regarding the theme: I'm not sure why you used colours like purple, because I don't associate them with signal colours like red, green and yellow.

What I really like in this game is the progression system. It feels very naturally implemented. Getting bigger tiles, new shapes and colours is very motivating. Great job!

Call 4 Help! by ThatFirey 2026-04-29T10:52:28Z

I played a lot of games this Ludum Dare, but yours is definitely one of my favorites! :)

The graphics are awesome, the mood creepy and the minigames are fun to play. Chasing for the right signal was also much fun. Really good that you implemented the "tutorials" in a natural way, like giving tips through the phone or reading something on the tablet.

I like that you progress through a story and it is very nice that you implemented voice lines. The humor is spot on and overall it is just a very polished game. Great work to the whole team! :)

Behind the Noise by Kabbi 2026-04-20T23:26:17Z

Interesting graphic style. I like the simplistic art. Maybe adding a ceiling would be a nice addition? Finding the casettes worked good for me. I was motivated to find them all. ;)

Tower Signal by Pierre-Marie 2026-04-22T16:06:17Z

Very addictive gameloop. The feedback through audio is nicely implemented. The shaking of the modules also add a lot of visual feedback. You could always tell when a level up happened thanks to the flashing of the screen. Really nicely done!

The visuals are not coherent. I like the style of the towers (and the characters in the beginning), but it would have been nice, if the modules and the rest of the game would have the same art. Or the other way around and make the towers "more technical".

It is motivating to unlock the skilltree and I like all sound effects. :)

Beacon by MostLikely 2026-04-25T10:20:22Z

I tried two runs and was very close defeating the final boss on my 2nd run (but I only had archers left :D ). Almost won. My impression is, that you can learn this game and get better by time. I had fun playing it.

I think you should be able to bring defenders or infrantry back once they are gone. Maybe as an option instead of a new card?

The boss battles were fun. The progression bar or level overview is a nice touch. I like that you get upgrades a long the way and that you can skip them like in Slay the Spire.

I can see more content for this game (more troop types or starting armies from different kingdoms, more enemies and maps), but for a JAM-game there was a lot of content. Great job. :)

Plume Tactics by WeirdBitGames 2026-04-25T09:33:26Z

That was fun. It is a very short game, but very polished. The sound effects are fitting and I like the overall battlescreen.

Having more variety or some kind of progression with levels would have kept me playing.

The controls feel very good. I like the addition of the "instruction button". Congrats for finishing your project. :)

Desktop Jar by ranejeb 2026-04-23T13:51:39Z

Everything worked well. I like your interpretation of the theme. :) It is cool, that also mouse clicks get recognised.

The UI is very clear. A little thing that I missed in the upgrade section: It would be nice, if you could tell what an upgrade changes BEFORE I buy it. Do I get 1 or 5% more durability? You could show that while hovering above the upgrade button.

I also like the statistic screen, where things are unlocked till you get the first keycap of its kind. Really enjoyed this one...I mean it is still going on in the background. ;)

AGENTS RHYTHM & RAID by Nadia Pixel 2026-04-24T13:52:15Z

First of all I like the introduction levels with the dummies. Good way to teach the new abilities. :)

I would have liked more audio and visual feedback for hitting enemies, because I never knew when I hit someone. Louder sound effects during the decoding sequences (I think there was a drum in it when you successfully hit the buttons) would also help in this area.

I like the overall art of the game. The UI is stylised and fits very nicely to the game. The music was fitting too. It is cool that you implemented different enemies. I also dig the character designs. :)

Dicebound by Derly 2026-04-23T14:22:40Z

This game is very polished. The controls and the visual/audio feedback are good.

I just would like to have more impact on the field. Maybe being able to roll one dice by hand for example.

You explained the gameplay very clear. The graphics are coherent and look good. Really great one man job. Congrats to your finished product! :)

Checkers: Under the Radar by Placeholders 2026-04-22T08:07:57Z

It feels good to move the pieces and the little visual hints (for example the red dots for one turn) are a good addition. The signal reveal effect looks cool.

I would have liked some special levels, where you play different scenarios.

The checkers queen with the little radar is a neat idea. I played on "normal" and had fun doing it. :)

POKER FACE by T4RAN 2026-04-26T16:41:19Z

Fun little game. I think the lenght of the game was perfect.

I like the variation with two opponents. Would have liked a level with even more players, so it gets harder to see the faces. :)

The graphics are nice and I like the "modest" UI. The gameplay was fluent and the character designs are nice. I really like the expressions of the characters, especially the poker face guy. :D The game is very polished, also thanks to the fitting sound effects. Great work!

RESCUE by caffeinetrip 2026-05-02T16:21:18Z

That was a really fun playthrough! It reminded me a lot of Undertale (especially the character Flowey).

The levels had a nice difficulty progression, gradually becoming more complex over time.

The first fly over the minimap is a great detail. I also like the little changes on the main character through the time.

The graphics, combined with the great music and sound effects, created such a wonderful mood. You absolutely nailed the atmosphere. :) I actually really like the contrast between cuteness and creepiness.

The player feedback is nicely done as well. You can feel the impact when you walk into a wall, and the ā€œdanger zonesā€ are shown in a subtle but effective way. Really great job. One of my favorite games in this jam. Played it two times now. :)

Signal King by Tetramollaxx 2026-04-29T08:21:00Z

Didn't realise that this is a COMPO-game. Really, really good game!

Of course it has balancing issues, but the core gameloop is so much fun. The "signal mechanic" was not really noticeable, but the branching mechanic on the other hand is fantastic.

The visuals are nice and the UI is well implemented. The controls feel good and it is neat that you can choose your buildings with pressing the keys. Having more than just one enemy is also a nice touch and the progression bar shows you when the boss is arriving. Really polished game.

Look, I Made A Thing by duckmaniac 2026-04-21T13:53:27Z

Good idea with a funny little intro.

The controls feel good. I just wished a little more feedback, while being on the "correct" lane for the crop sign. It could use more than just changing colours from red to green.

The visuals are coherent and it is nice to look at the different plants. Upgrades were satisfying and motivated me to unlock them all.

The endscreen is very cool! :)

Fellowship of the Signal Fire by OttoBroccoli 2026-04-21T11:58:32Z

Very good introduction to the gameplay. The overall look is very nice and the UI is very clear to read. I like the map design a lot.

I also liked finishing the game, but the core gameplay felt a little flat. Adding more mechanics could be useful, but I guess it was already enough work for a game jam to implement the signal system, which worked well by the way. :)

Beat the Signal by Fassenberg 2026-04-29T09:01:50Z

Very polished game for a COMPO-entry! I like the tutorial you get once, where everything is explained clearly.

The controls feel good and the graphics are simplistic, but fitting. The different sound effects while getting the coins is a nice touch. :)

Almost the Same by NNMBZR 2026-05-05T09:00:46Z

The artstyle is coherent and looks very nice. The characters turned out well.

The visual hints, which buttons you should press, are also well implemented. The overall control while drawing feels good.

As other people mentioned, some kind of feedback for the drawing would be nice. I had the impression that every pic gave me a point.

I tried to search for the phone number, but did not find anything on the internet. Is it just a random number or is it from a series or movie? I saw: 555-35358800.

The music fits the visuals and the gameplay. Really cool idea, that you see the pictures of other players.

I think I will start a career in art now. ;)

That was a short, but nice little plattformer. The riddles were doable and the jumping sections fair. The graphics were fitting, although a little walking animation for the "holy grenade" @avhatar would be nice. ;)

I like that you start the game by using a lever and return to the start at the endscreen by using the signal. Nice little detail. :)

Tune by DeathandRepublic 2026-04-29T09:28:03Z

That is an interesting concept. The overall graphics look good and I especially like the walking animation of the bat. :)

The controls feel a bit off. Having to choose the colour and then using the mouse wheel as an additional step was not intuitive for me.

Very nice, that you implemented a very readable mini-map. I like the character designs and that you have different abbilities.

Cardboard Delivery Service by skale 2026-04-21T22:49:29Z

Wow, the graphics are adorable! Very impressive that you have done that as a COMPO and still got a good gameplay. The UI is very fitting.

I think some short levels in the beginning to get used to the gameplay would be great. Even if it only would be that you have to connect three towers on a small level would have helped to get some kind of a tutorial. But in a COMPO you do not have a lot of time for creating levels.

The driving felt intuitive and I had a lot of fun driving the van. The sound effects are good and it was nice to drive fast and just pass obstacles in a high speed. Great work! :)

Catching the Signal by MeeRebane 2026-04-21T07:32:16Z

Great game mechanics!

The controls feel good and I like that you explode when you are too fast. I was motivated to complete the game, but I also have to say, that the difficulty is too hard early on, which will exclude some players. Having some more simple levels, where you can get used to the controls would be good.

The sliding system is a lot of fun! I also like the sound of the drone. The artstyle is fitting and I really like the lobster design. :) Great work and nice implementation of the theme!

Mayday - Keep the signal alive by UnrestStudio 2026-04-28T15:47:21Z

Short and fun game. I was able to rescue them. :) I really like the graphics in the "story parts". Was totally surprised when the first mini-game started. :D

The minigames worked fine and even though I liked the second game the most (pressing in the right moment), I would have liked that the resetting (when you miss something) would be faster.

The animated waves are so nice to look at. Really amplified the mood. And I also found the lightning effects in the background very cool.

Wavelatro by ForsakenAginor 2026-04-21T11:02:08Z

Visuals and sound design are really good. The audio feedback feels nice and I got addicted to the gameplay. :D

The implementation of a slider for the animation speed is a good idea. The UI is good to read and fits to the rest of the gameplay. You described the power-ups well.

Overall it is a polished game. Really enjoyed this...will play another round now. ;)

Jester’s Vesper by stisdan 2026-04-29T08:52:09Z

As the other people mentioned, the graphics and the UI look fantastic. The character designs are also very good.

Having more impact, when the player gets hit and looses HP, would be a nice addition.

What I really liked is the "health bar" of the enemies. The less HP they have, the redder they become. I really like that detail. :)

Mail Cats by kkkyia 2026-04-24T15:46:03Z

Controls felt good. It is nice, that you can control the height of the jump. The change of scenery is also a nice touch. For my personal taste the running could be much faster or you could increase the speed after finishing a level.

On the moon level I had some bugs, where my cat just "died" or just spawned from the sky.

I think you changed the gravitiy on the moon level, didn't you? Good idea.

The cat sprite is very cute. Congrats for finishing your first complete game. :)

GIMME TV by pocketdog 2026-04-23T16:05:57Z

The visual and audio feedback in this game is very good. Feels very "juicy". :) The game length of one run is well chosen. The introduction is short but effective and the little story you put in fits perfectly. I like the feature at the end, that you can buy stuff for visual appeal. The overall graphics look nice.

ECHOMAZE by pipetto 2026-04-27T14:48:46Z

That is an interesting entry. :) At my first playthrough I had no idea that my battery is drained due to my scanner "shooting". I think having more visual feedback would be great, for example if I use the light/laser then the battery in the top right will flash or pump, so the player knows that it is effected.

Nice touch, that you cannot leave without the box. The little picture showing at the stairs is a nice visual feedback.

I really like the art of the story pictures. The gameplay was fun and the audio fitting. I think there is a lot of potential to expand on the game mechanic. Congrats for finishing your project! :)

Link the Shrink by TOSHIY 2026-04-21T13:02:41Z

Very interesting game idea. The visuals are very nice. Everything is minimalistic, but at the same time very clear.

I have a question. Is there any reason to not put a new tower exactly next to the border of the previous tower? Placing it wherever you want does not seem to have a benefit.

The card effects, when you draw or place a card are very good and add to the overall good impression of the game. Great and polished game. :)

Last Frequency by Catanus 2026-04-30T20:02:39Z

That was fun! I played through all levels and it was nice, that you kept adding new gameplay elements to the mix. The double lane was especially fun!

For me personally it was too slow. Having an expert mode with a faster gameplay would satisfy relaxed players and the persons who like a faster movement.

The graphics are simple but fitting to the game. I like the overall style. When I played the game it felt like an ASMR-video, very relaxing and a cool mood. :)

Send the Signal by Pavel Goncharov 2026-04-23T15:50:22Z

After getting the hang of the controls I really enjoyed this one. The lenght of the game is perfect for this kind of game. I played through the end.

It would be nice if the upgrades would also have a shortcut button like pressing "Enter" for continuing the run.

Nice mechanic, that you collect green "beans" for the upgrades and red "beans" for the signal. The magnet is a great power-up. :)

Call of the Signal by nexusasx10 2026-04-24T19:22:28Z

Looked pretty good for a 3D-Jam-game. The strong point of this game is definitely the atmosphere as the others already mentioned.

The walking part took a little to long for my taste. The last mini-game on the other hand was too fast. I would have liked to play more at that one. :)

The last location is also very interesting. And the introduction is nicely implemented.

RADAR LINE_ by saloid 2026-04-29T14:04:19Z

First I was overwhelmed by your first page picture, but I gave it a try and it was absolutely worth it!

Having a small tutorial level to explain the controls (shooting mechanic) would be a very important addition, because I had to read the comments to figure out how the game works after already playing for a while. That would garantee more accessibility for the players here in the jam.

But apart from that the game has a lot of strenghts! The atmosphere was well done! The music added to the suspenseful mood and the graphics are clear and the UI elements worked fine. You always knew which unit would shoot, when multiple units were able to shoot. Having voice lines in the game gave me old RTS-vibes, which is always a good thing. I think it would be smoother if there were a short pause between the voice lines when several hits happen back to back.

Having different defenders with varied strenghts added tactical depth. I really appreciate the clickable UI elements on the left side when an enemy is spotted. That helped a lot to get an overview and is a nice quality of life element. :)

Turning Signal by InkyH 2026-04-23T18:21:00Z

Or keep the green button away or greyed out till it is needed. :)

Apart from that the controls feel good. I had no problems with the placing of the objects. The riddles are good and you have a nice progression system in terms of the difficulty of the levels.

Drum`n`Ice by PepeBrante 2026-04-29T09:44:22Z

I like the implementation of voice lines and the overall look of the game is nice. It is cool, that you can see an umpcoming shop in the background. Really like that detail. :)

Like some other people already mentioned, I also found it a bit too difficult to know when I had to press. I felt that it was easier in the post-jam version, but I played it after the jam-version, so maybe I was just getting more used to it. Very nice that you listened to the feedback and added rebindable keys.

The character sprites look good and I also like the scenery you chose. The implementation of the power-ups is a good addition.

Small Among Storms by ShanzPro 2026-04-23T15:08:15Z

I really like the graphics. The overall style is coherent. The animation when the squirrel is digging is so cute! :)

As someone before mentioned, I also didn't like it to wait so long in the logs. Felt frustrating for me. Having the bird or lightning only in some areas would have been better in my opinion, because the system in itself is nice (reminds me of Ori).

More audio or visual impact while getting killed by thorns would be also great. An additional impactful sound effect (besides the squirrel) would help quickly.

The controls felt good and the mood is also a strong point of the game. The music was very fitting. I like the house of our little buddy. :)

Shiplogging by CreeperXD 2026-04-20T22:28:14Z

I like the graphics of the game. Clear to read. I think it would be good to have simple codes in the beginning, so you can learn the basics. Dealing with all the signals at the beginning is overwhelming. Congrats for finishing your game. :)

i love you, too by tolviere 2026-04-27T11:20:32Z

That was an interesting game, which I played till the end. :)

I see it similar to @adam-gould. Here is my idea: It would be cool if you start with just two dials and after each "round" you get an additional dial. Would have gave the player a progression in gameplay and also a progression in difficulty.

Apart from that the little story was well written. I wanted to know what will happend next. You put the different story pieces in an exciting order. I like the little details, like the sound differences in the voices. The controls felt good and the green wave is a nice touch, which gives a good visual feedback.
