God, these puzzles are HARD!! They are creative, but it is less skill and more trial and error and a bit of luck. And winning this way is slightly less satisfying than solving it by yourself. Trying to figure out the puzzle from the get-go is almost impossible! The biggest problem I had is that it is really hard to tell if the colors go right or left; it got really confusing. I think an arrow on the painted blocks would have fixed that. One thing I loved was the 3D aesthetics! It has so much style! I adored the stamp; such a cool, stylish animation! However, the sheep, unlike everything else around them, look a bit bland. By the way, some music and sound would have helped the game be even better. And lol, seeing the sheep face-plant is hilarious, and it adds to the nice feeling of figuring out the puzzles.

Hard, but fun puzzles! So cool, great job
Love the game! The attention to detail with the Drawer Sheep dunking into the holes is great. Puzzles are challenging too.
I love a good sheep game! This feels like a super polished and well-rounded short puzzle game, not something made in a weekend. I think clarity would help greatly with making things feel less trial-and-error and more like a puzzle of sitting there and thinking about what to do. More arrows, really on everything (blocks, sheep, paint, ground, everywhere) would be great, and also help with colorblindness accessibility. I'm also not sure if this was a bug, but every time I wanted my sheep to start moving, I would have to flick the "start" switch many times, and it seemed quite random on when they would start moving. This was quite frustrating particularly with how trial-and-error many of the puzzles were.

@she-wrote Thanks for telling how you feel about the game! It's really useful!

@camcomduck Thanks for the advice, I'll consider adding arrow or something like that. And it's good to consider accessibility!

Very fun puzzle game, and who doesn't like sheep? The puzzles are interesting but a bit hard

Really neat! I especially enjoyed the moment when I realized that I could paint the sheep! :D
I LOVE THIS! Super unique and interesting gameplay, and it feels so nice to play too, great job! I just wish the sheep moved a little faster, or perhaps a fast-forward button or something. It's so satisfying to look at them go though ^^
Wow, I found this idea for an automation puzzle to be truly brilliant! I don't think I've seen anything like it, focusing on painting. It's incredibly satisfying when you manage to, well... make it work. It would be interesting if there were different little figures, and if they had some behavior when they look at each other.

Cool puzzle game! I like the difficulty of the puzzles. The sheep were a nice cuteness factor.
The bottom left and bottom right stones were sometimes confusing to me. It was hard to determine which row belongs to which stone. Maybe reduce the height of the stones by half?
Painting the blocks and sheep was so much fun with little fluffy animations. I tried to colour the sheep in the coffee mug, but it was not possible. I hope you will add that, because it is essential for the gameplay. ;)
Great entry!

@lllarso Reduce the height of the stones by half is a good idea! Thanks for the advice. A Colorable sheep in the mug sure is essential, how could I forget thatXD!!
Somehow I didn't figure out how to make them go. The reset button didn't work either. I tried it on Itch. Otherwise looks great and I wish I could play test it.

@erasemenot After press start, the sheep will start moving in 1.2 second, could it be that interval is confusing you? And the reset button would reset all sheep position but won't reset the colors you paint. Is it because of those thing? or it's really a bug.
Very good game, I don't think it is difficult though, the later levels I would first painted randomly and then sligtly change the paint according to the route of the sheep and solve it quite fast, because the number of sheep is more than i need. I like this kind of level design, but it also shows the limitations of this mechanic, because sheep can almost only walk in one direction except to look at other sheep. So it's hard to design levels that are clever enough to give me Eureka. and it's a shame that there's no music and sfx, i think it would be funny to hear so many sheep making noises

@hanafl0wer Good insight! I also felt that limitation, I'm thinking adding some mechanic that fit into the rule if I'm going to make it a full game, such as buttons that sheep can trigger. Glad you like this kind of puzzle!

@erasemenot Don't paint the sheep, paint the walls they are looking at. It was very confusing for me as well in the beginning. They are like a bull, when they see a red surface, they start running. And you can paint them, because they can also look at themselfs. And it's not just red that makes them go forward, also the other colors make them go one step. Because I didn't notice this at first, I thought the second puzzle was impossible to solve until I figured that out by randomly messing around.
And from then on, I understood the game and had fun finishing it. In some levels I felt clever for making it first try and without a lot of randomnes, but in later levels, it was all random. xD
@RoyRosta I think the Portal approach could work here. Limit the number of surfaces you can interact with and you will have more defined puzzles. Also: way less sheep. The first levels were the best ones. Just a few moving parts and you have to do the right thing to get then through.

@leorid Yeah later levels are quite random for sure XD, I was thinking make levels that encourage random painting, cause I tink it's fun to watch sheep go in a chaos pattern. Though puzzle solving wise, your advice is quite good, limit the blocks you can paint, the game could have more fun of puzzle solving that way, and more eureka moment. Thanks for the feedback!
I am not big brained enough for this haha. Very clever game, though. I enjoyed it quite a bit!
I wonder if they're Turing complete..... Great job, this is definitely one of my favorites!

I absolutely adore this game, fantastic job
Very cool concept! I was able to understand the game quickly with your non-intrusive explaining which was done well. I did feel that the difficulty curve started off too steep though. I always feel that puzzle games should start with totally trivial levels that just get you to understand the mechanics. Also, I would have preferred simpler puzzles overall with fewer sheep and smaller maps, so I feel more like I solved it by thinking about it, rather than trying different things each time until it works (which I see is a point made before). I did love the building block style and the cute sheep, and this was clearly programmed well in my opinion!

I couldn't stop laughing when I realized this was actually a possible solution for the level (Tell me this is intended!) The game is inherently challenging due to its dynamic, but youโve done a great job keeping the scope tight and making the puzzles easy to understand. Splendid work on the entry great job!

@foursay oh my gosh this solution I did not foresee at all. That's so genius! It's like the last sheep is knocking doors one by one to see if there is any spot avalible XD, it's just so wholesome and hilarious, and brilliant. Seeing this makes me feel that making this game has totaly worthed it! The intended solution is to make each two of them face each other then turn again to face the holes.

Very creative mechanics and a charming aesthetic! ๐ The game's 3D style really stands out, and I loved the small details like the stamp animation and the sheep's hilarious face-plant moments. The puzzles are definitely challenging, though they lean more towards trial and error than methodical problem-solving. Adding clearer directional indicators, like arrows on blocks, could help make the experience smoother and reduce confusion. Overall, itโs an engaging, visually stylish game with plenty of room to grow!
really good game!funny
This game is well thought out, very impressive how much potential this game has, you can easily expand on this and add more colors with more abilities. Well done

This is my favorite ludum dare game so far. I love the concept of a dynamic moving puzzle, while the sheep behavior reminds me of programming in Logo as a kid. The graphics are amazing, and very reflective of what is actually happening. Even painting the edges and the sheep is so fun.

Very fun and original puzzles! Some are... let's say, difficult ;) I sometimes felt frustrated at the slow pace of the sheep, maybe some way to fast forward the solution. It would make it easier to iterate on a solution, without having to wait for so long. Overall a very polished and enjoyable game, congratulations!
The visuals are top-notch, super polished, and just nice to look at. It can get tough sometimes, but thatโs part of the fun. The theme's solid, though not the standout here. Overall, it's a challenging and creative brain workout with a slick presentation!
Clever puzzle game , it was fun to play !!: )
