That was sweet!

Incredible what you achieved in 72h. It's so polished *-* and i had so much fun :)

2026-04-21_16-34-21.png First I thought this button is for gamepad šŸ˜… Anyway good game with a great graphics and level design!

rend 2026-04-22 11:57

@skoufakis Thanks for your comment! I slept 8 hours in 3 days, that gives extra time for polishing the game  @pavel-goncharov It's supposed to be the controller button, but it happens to also be the keyboard binding in that case!

skale 2026-04-22 12:40

Stunning work! The 'juice' and game feel are spot on, and the narrative is a lovely touch. It looks and plays like a polished Steam title. Highly impressed! This is the highest-rated game of the jam so far from me.

I slept only 8 hours too . But I was going COMPO

cax 2026-04-22 12:43

Smooth! All the controls and rules are organically explained. Gives some celeste vibes in a nice way:) I only stuck at that level with 2 doors, where second(bottom) door is closed and doesn't open for some reason, maybe I missed something

skale 2026-04-22 12:44

I never made a pixel art game, and this entry makes me want to try

First of all very polished game!

The Celeste vibe is definatly there, but you put on a different gameplay mechanic, which was more fun than I expected first. The controls felt very good. The level design is well thought out. It shows that you have experience in the gaming field. :)

The little puzzles are fair and I like that the spark is opening and closing the door.

The only "ok" thing is the music. Don't get me wrong. It gets its job done, but it is not on the same level like the rest of the game, because the rest is top notch! But I see that you did all by yourself, so I can imagine that it had not the biggest priority.

Is your characters name coincidentally "Copper Dan", the brother of our main protagonist "Cable Man"? Multiverse chance for our games. :D

The cable getting red was a very nice touch, so you could always tell, how much space you had left. All in all very good plattformer with very nice graphics. I had a lot of fun completing the game. :)

Excellent game. It was very fun to play it. Actually looks like a complete game demo with a single level.

nikorych 2026-04-22 13:02

I enjoy the game

2026-04-22 13:04

The visual style is really cool and looks great. The idea of connecting houses through puzzles is also interesting, but it wasn’t immediately clear to me how to open the second door, and I spent quite a while running around trying to figure out what I had missed. I didn’t quite understand why I need the fireworks, why I should collect them, or how to collect all of them, but the core of the game is well done. One of the best projects in this jam. I really enjoyed the game!!!

djtequila 2026-04-22 13:07

Very well done! Nice consistent art style, relaxing vibes, and a narrative! I was almost disappointed when it ended because I wanted to keep exploring and collecting feathers. Great level design, it really let the game mechanics shine.

yanruyi 2026-04-22 13:43

屏幕ęˆŖ图 2026-04-22 213956.pngI collected 7/10 feathers, but I'm a bit stuck on the last three. I’m guessing one of them requires using the invincibility frames after respawning? I really like the game—I can tell you put a lot of heart into the level design! Also, I think I ran into a bug while jumping on the white truck.lol

geeni 2026-04-22 14:01

Oh wow this was really polished game for solo project. Very satisfying and tactile platforming and graphics and sounds were excellent.

bonedaddy 2026-04-22 15:42

Definitely has that Celeste style (being a mountain platformer and the artstyle and dialogue), although totally different in story of course. I really enjoy coming across nice platformers like this during the jam. Unforunately I couldn't see the ending:

Screenshot 2026-04-22 124120.png

I think maybe because I grabbed the wire during the cutscene. Gonna try again!

EDIT: I went back and beat the game but it just gave me controls. I'm pretty sure there's supposed to be a !>ziplining cutscene, because last time it said he couldn't feel his face, but I walked back to the beginning and nothing happened

firefish 2026-04-22 17:10

"Fantastic game! The art style and gameplay remind me a bit of Celeste. The artwork is incredibly polished—nice work! The overall game experience feels very complete, and the mini-puzzles hit just the right spot.

I tried my absolute best and managed to find 7 feathers, but I'm completely stumped on the remaining ones. If you ever release a walkthrough later, please @ me—I'm so curious!!!

I did discover that you can use the i-frames (invincibility frames) after dying to briefly jump onto spiked platforms. Maybe this is a puzzle mechanic? Also, I noticed that if you jump right before hitting the spikes, you spawn slightly higher up at the respawn point? I'm not sure if these are bugs or features, but I keep wondering if they're the key to getting the feathers I couldn't reach!

Anyway, I really love this game! You guys are amazing!!!"

abiral 2026-04-22 17:37

The art looks really polished... I loved the small details in both the visuals and the gameplay. The sound effects and music were also great. Overall, it’s an excellent game, and pulling off something of this quality during a game jam is truly commendable.

jesse-martin 2026-04-22 18:06

Fun game, never could get those last three feathers is there like a hidden wall somewhere

mezaka 2026-04-22 19:31

@skale Thanks for your comment! If you decide to make a tile-based game, I strongly recommend to test LDtk, it's a game changer (pun intended)

@cax Thanks, Celeste was indeed a strong source of inspiration. One of the metal detachable connectors is linked to this door, you just have to find which one

@pavlo Thanks for your feedback! Yeah the physics engine is made by me and not very good at handling framerate drops, I'd need to rebuild it some day

@lllarso Thanks a lot for your super detailed feedback, I'm glad you liked the game (and the music not so much  ). It's true that our two protagonists could be brothers, maybe we can think of a bundle when we release on Steam!

@senior-sigan @nikorych Thanks for your kind comments!

rend 2026-04-22 20:51

@oleksandr-marynenko Thanks for your comment, I'm glad you liked the game. The collectibles are supposed to be feathers though, I should practice my pixelart a bit more

@remy-lopez Ahhh thanks for your super nice comment. And no, sadly I'm not the guy (or one of the guys) behind Celeste.

@djtequila I'm glad you liked the game, I wish I could have added more levels, I had at least 5 others mechanics designed on paper but I had to cut drastically to make it on time

@yanruyi the 2D physics engine is home made, and there are tons of bugs sorry... Normally you shouldn't need invincibility to collect all feathers. There's an advance mechanic that I thought would be clearer but nobody saw it. I've added an input prompt so it's more obvious, with it you can collect everything

@geeni Thanks a lot!

@bonedaddy Yeah Celeste was a huge inspiration indeed. Given the screenshot it's definitely a bug, there must have been some double input connecting the last house and everything went to sh**. Normally after zip lining the game fades out to the conclusion

rend 2026-04-22 20:55

@firefish Thanks for your detailed feedback! I dont need the invincibility frames to get any feather. There's an advanced mechanic that is hinted by the NPC in the 3rd house but it was not clear for a lot of players... Also, have a look at the screenshots on the itch page, it might give you a clue about one hidden feather

@abiral Thanks, I'm glad you like it!

@jesse-martin definitely something hidden, have a look at the screen shots on the itch page, it might give you a hint...

@mezaka @peterlebagarreur Thanks for your kind comments!

firefish 2026-04-23 04:36

@rend I checked the screenshots on the itch page and finally figured out this mechanic! Pressing 'X' in mid-air while holding the wire allows you to double jump! With this, I finally managed to collect all the feathers hahahahaha.

I really love this idea; it's such a creative concept. It almost feels like a sort of 'knowledge gate.' Maybe it would be really fun to design a small, tutorial-style puzzle specifically for this mechanic~ This clever idea makes me appreciate the game even more!

recyx 2026-04-23 12:35

What a beautiful game. Loved the pixel art. The gameplay felt super satisfying. Unfortunately i always managed to glitch into the walls somehow and had to restart the game. And after the 5th try i gave up and only ever reached the first summit before it happend. But it felt pretty good to speedrun the first part :D Great job!

mikan 2026-04-23 19:53

Really cool platformer puzzle. I love the mechanic of jumping in the air.

My playthrough: https://youtu.be/krbeb-zkJWk

rend 2026-04-24 06:59

@firefish Thanks for taking the time to play the game again! As you say, the double jump mechanic was supposed to be hidden but discoverable, yet I think almost all people missed so I may have done something wrong

rend 2026-04-24 07:01

@recyx I'm so sorry about the physics bugs... I've added builds for Windows and Mac, maybe if you find the time you can give it another go. With a steadier framerate you shouldn't be passing through colliders :fingers_crossed:

rend 2026-04-24 07:09

@mikan Wow thanks for making a playthrough video, this is so insightful! It's so cool that I can see the exact moment where you understand the double jump mechanic and go right away pick the first feathers you missed. I'm really glad you liked the game!

ghettobastler 2026-04-24 16:58

I love it! The platform control feels just right, the pixel art is gorgeous and the little bits of dialogues are lovely. The puzzles themselves aren't too challenging, but I think this fits the calm atmosphere and the scope of a game jam. Finally the ending was excellent: fits the mood while being rewarding. Great entry, thank you for sharing! Screenshot 2026-04-24 at 18-47-28 Alpine by Oddly Shaped Pixels.png

recursor 2026-04-24 17:42

My favorite game I've played in the jam thus far. It definitely has a Celeste feeling to it, and adding the fiber connection mechanic makes for some nice relaxing puzzles. Really excellent work!

wouter52 2026-04-24 18:02

This game looks pretty! It plays very nice too I somehow couldn't finish it, I have tried multuple times now. When writing this comment I came across @ghettobastler 's video and now I get it!

I love the way this story is told; like a bedtime story, that is very creative and I will remember that for LD60

block97 2026-04-24 18:26

Wow this game blew me away. And reading now that the 2d physics was all home made is so impressive! The art and music were fit the vibe of the game so well and it just had a level of polish I would have never guessed for a game jam, amazing work! Please turn this into a full game id like to play more :)

dan-whiffing 2026-04-24 18:29

Very polished game with great art, music and gamefeel! My only notes are that it is annoying to have to stop whenever the camera moves, and that it was unclear which node opened the locked gate close to the end. Everything else was perfect. Well paced, nice touch being able to zipline at the end, and feather collecting/speed running. as a reason to replay. Awesome work!

animaster 2026-04-24 18:48

изображение_2026-04-24_214531130.png

Great game! Right near the end, when I was sliding down a zipline, I tried to jump off and ended up snapping one of the cables, which left me stuck in a wall. I was really hoping to figure out how to collect the last two feathers at the beginning šŸ™‚

Wall jumps also feel a bit rough, and overall the controls could use a little more smoothness, but for a jam this is still a very strong result. Excellent game!

2026-04-24 18:49

Damn, is this game a car hood? Cause it“s got **some** real polish! Great job, its really very pleasant experience to play this game. Very chill. Thank you. And sorry for the bad pun.

Yup this is a good one. Great job! Really like the puzzle aspects with connecting the cables. Feels polished, has great vibes. Absolutely fantastic!

I also could not figure out how to get more than 7 of the feathers. Alas. Seems like I'm not alone based on some of the ending screenshots in the comments.

sheepolution 2026-04-24 19:36

Very nice! What not to like? Great graphics, lovely music, good mood, nice rope "physics". Very solid game with a good tutorial at the start.

kazuren 2026-04-24 20:04

This was an amazing game! Reminded me a lot of Celeste which is one of my favorite games and you really nailed it. The game mechanics are great. A bit buggy as others have mentioned as well but to be expected since it's a game jam. Amazing work for 3 days!

tosmaster 2026-04-24 21:44

What a lovely game! I can only repeat what others have already said in the comments! Great visuals, art, and music! The whole package! And yes, I too thought about celeste.

Some feathers were really cheeky and I love that you took the time to implement some of these behind secret, hidden walls! Overall great stuff!

Sometimes I felt like the character felt a bit unresponsive and floaty in the jumps. But overall no big deal. The guy talked about ziplining but I got confused. How do you zipline again? Pressing the interact key? But that cuts the wire, so I didn't have the courage to press the button. :(

2026-04-24 23:48

Really well made game! I got all 10 feathers and enjoyed playing through it. The art and animation was really nicely done, and the music did a good job setting the mood for the game. I think some more elaborate music could have elevated the game even further, but given the time I'm very impressed with what you were able to accomplish on the whole. The combination of the platforming with the puzzles involving the cables was really neat. I was a little confused in the room with the opening and closing doors; I wasn't sure why the door on the lower right was opened when you connected the signal to that specific terminal. I liked the mechanic with cutting the rope to get a double jump, it would have been nice to get a tricky puzzle that involved that idea. I think one of the feathers requires that and maybe one of the main sections though so I'm glad it got some use. The dialogue was a nice touch too, I'm glad you took the time to add that.

wo-ri-gou-le 2026-04-25 01:15

really nice game! ( I like how there's a huge storm and all powerlines been ripped off yet those seemly fragile wood poles stands still tbh

zamizmi 2026-04-25 05:05

Lovely game! The art style, music and sfx and the feeling combined to the after-storm, out-in-the-wilds nature was really well executed! Feathers helped me to navigate the as well, while they gave a reason to play the game longer and trying to collect them all, well done!

Going through the story as a told story was heartwarming :) Great game!

coderaurus 2026-04-25 10:54

Simple yet polished and complete. Loved it, this is a great example of a jam game.

pkenney 2026-04-25 14:08

Wow that was really nice! The zip ride down at the conclusion was a great finale, wonderful idea. I struggled a bit with the second-to-last house, I didn't see anything to indicate what controlled the bottom-left door, and sort of concluded it couldn't be that box far away from it. Eventually tried out of desperation before quitting, and then was able to proceed to the conclusion, and I was really glad I got to get to the end.

I think there might be an odd issue with the audio: I experienced the music as having this odd crackling distortion, which I thought was a stylistic choice. But then when I exited fullscreen at the end of playing I noticed it went away. And sure enough -- I hit fullscreen and it crackles, non-fullscreen it stops. So odd!

Anyway, really nice music, audio, graphics, solid platforming controls, a concept taken straight from the theme, and all packed up into a narrative with a satisfying conclusion. Nice well-rounded entry!

caer 2026-04-25 14:27

I've seen some fantastic entries in this jam, yet this one is by far my favorite: The atmosphere, the music, and the core mechanical interpretation of the theme. It _feels_ like a complete game--and even has story and a narrative! Also, for some reason I have a weird soft spot and association for signals and mountains. Great job.

sinemual 2026-04-26 06:28

Impressive! Art, music, animations! There are short dialogues and a narrative! A simple puzzle-platformer—great! The zipline at the end is a great game design choice!

roroto-sic 2026-04-26 17:09

A VERY GREAT puzzle platformer ! The game is so polished on every aspect of it ! i loved it !

rend 2026-04-26 18:51

@ghettobastler I'm glad you like it, thanks for playing and posting you results!

@recursor Thanks for the kind words!

@wouter52 Go ahead! Indeed, it's a nice narrative trick and it costs only a few sentences

@block97 Well, the 2D physics is the weakest point of the game. Hopefully you didn't get trapped inside walls... Thanks for your comment, I'm glad you liked the game!

@dan-whiffing That's a valid comment, I realize now that the relationship between pylons and gates is not communicated at all so it feels arbitrary. I'm glad you got past that and enjoyed the game!

@animaster Woops, that's a bug indeed... The 2D physics is pretty bad I must admit, I didn't manage to properly nail the wall jump feeling like in other platformers, and you quite often fall into colliders. If you want to know how to get those last 2 feathers I've linked a video of a 100% playthrough on itch

rend 2026-04-26 19:01

@nadan Ahaha, no it's a good pun, and I'm glad the time and effort I spent polishing the game resonated with you!

@braktheman Thanks for your comment! If you have a look at the screenshots on itch, you must be able to locate one hidden feathers. For the other 2, have a look at the playthrough video, there's one obfuscated mechanic you might have missed

@sheepolution Oh man, such an honor you played my game. You're a true LD veteran, I even remember playing "One take" back in the days, what a clever game!

@kazuren Thanks a lot for your comment! Yeah, it's a bit like Celeste but with more bugs

@tosmaster You must reach the final house and connect it. The dialogue that ensues should hint you at the zip lining mechanic. When it ends, try to go at the highest point of the cable network, see if you can interact with it...

@takeshi64 That's impressive you got the 10 feathers cause that "double" jump mechanic is not pretty obvious and fez players find it. I totally agree that the door puzzle is badly communicated, I had to rush it at the end of the jam and didn't think to properly communicate the link between a pylon and the door it opens

@wo-ri-gou-le Yeah, I only had the hear to break one of those poles (the first one when the game starts). I also like that feeling of going into the quietness after a storm

@zamizmi Thanks a lot, I'm glad the game resonated with you and you enjoyed all of its parts!

rend 2026-04-26 19:06

@coderaurus Thanks a lot for your comment, having the right size/scope for a game jam is difficult indeed, I'm glad you appreciated it

@pkenney I'm sorry for the audio issue, I didn't experience it and you're the first one to bring it up. Maybe it has to do with FMod and the WebGL build. Perhaps if you try the Windows or Mac build the problem will go away

@caer I'm humble by your comment, I'm so happy you enjoyed it that much. I also love the setting of the mountain and connecting people, a bit like simpler and cozier version of Death Stranding

@sinemual Ahaha thanks! It's my 5yo who suggested me the zipline idea when testing the game mid-jam, I'll tell him you liked it!

@roroto-sic Thanks for posting your result! I'm glad you liked the game, maybe if you're missing some feathers, have a look at the screenshot or the walkthrough video

ii-p 2026-04-26 20:06

Sound design brings very cozy vibes and good job as a level designer as well! In addition, very enjoyed the idea that in the end of the game constructed "signals" guide us through the darkness. The only thing I can *(a little bit)* complain about is **controls** (as it often happens for platformers, *haha*). Dunno how you built up the movement, but buffer zone for sure should be larger. Throughout the game often find my self (especially climbing walls) that game doesn't account the jump *(despite, from my perspective, I did it on time)*. Also, (don't know about the controllers, but at pc) pressing "down" completely blocks other movement, which is pretty annoying :< **Overall:** I very enjoyed the entry!!! Well done!

2026-04-26 22:40

Woooow!! this is the kind of game I could happily keep playing for hours! The mechanics are super satisfying, and the controls feel great. I really love the atmosphere, it all comes together beautifully with the story and art style. Very impressive!!

mrturtle 2026-04-27 19:19

Fantastic! Love the dialogue and the overall vibe, the art is lovely. As others have said I feel like the controls could be more forgiving, especially the time window for wall jumps. Also I personally kept accidentally cutting my line when I didn't mean to. Perhaps having some sort of confirmation where you have to hold the cut line key for half a second or so would be good? Overall really charming, would love to see it expanded in the future.

pipetto 2026-04-28 13:50

The remaining three feathers were out of my reach.

Great job!

cataclysmicknight 2026-04-30 21:30

That was cool :D The controls were nice, and I loved the bonus of using cutting the wire as a boost for a jump. I missed two feathers (one of which was right above your truck, and I knew how to get it once I got back down there but it was too late lol).

And the end was sweet, too 🧔

@ii-p Thanks for your detailed feedback! You're absolutely right about the wall jump, I had to rush the implementation and it does not feel like a proper wall jump. I'm glad you enjoyed the game nonetheless!

@filgru Thanks for your kind comment!

@mrturtle Yeah wall jumps are a bit off... And I think I should have made the detection for the pylons more forgiving cause I also ended cutting my rope when I was trying to connect it

@pipetto I'm sure you can do it!

@cataclysmicknight Thanks for your kind comment and for leaving a review on itch as well!

kerdelos 2026-05-04 21:16

This was really impressive, especially for a compo entry ! Congrats !!

At first I thought it was a pico 8 games and not a unity game (because of the keybinding and the format) but I guess that was the point.

What can I say, the game plays great, looks greats, sounds greats.

If I must find a few things to improve, I'd say the puzzle with the "electric" doors wasn't super clear. And also the writing felt like it was a bit too long for what it was saying but I understand it's a tough balance for such a short game. And finally, how can I zipline ?! :D

Anyway, you did an amazing job and you can be proud !

oadt 2026-05-07 19:21

Super polished game! Loved the graphics and music! And the controls felt super smooth. And the end was very cute!

The game reminded me of a [LD30 entry from Deepnight](https://deepnight.net/games/chipset-0/). You really hit my Nostalgia Nerf here with reminding me of my fist LD (and remembering me that it was 12 years ago :flushed:) Really glad I stubled across this game, thanks!

@kerdelos Thanks for your comment! It is a jam entry though, I couldn't have made it in just 48h  As for the zipline, try to go on the last house's roof after the final dialogue...

@oadt Guilty as charge! It's great to see a other Ludum Dare veteran! I did participate in that edition as well and Deepnight's entry was just mind blowing. I drew a lot of inspiration from it but tried my best not to just copy it. Ngl it was tough and the signals were the only idea I could come up with...

@rend Crazy that we both remember that game after 12 years  And super cool that you also participated back then! You definitely did not just copy it and succeeded in creating something original!

This game is really nice! Such a cozy vibe. Cool music and art.

Really enjoyed this! It was very nicely polished, and the controls felt pretty good for a jam game (though the wall jump was admittedly a little awkward in places). I enjoyed the extra collectibles, too, though it did feel a little odd how a few of them were just on the ground along the main path. The levels were generally designed fairly well, though the room with the metal doors was a bit awkward (probably they don't need to repeatedly open and close when powered - it just forces you to wait a couple seconds every now and then).
