I really liked the mood and graphics in the game. Add some explosions and maybe some different enemy types with e.g. armor and weapons and it would be even better, well done anyway! We made a space game ourselfs check it out if you want: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/42-mikronikus
It is a finsihed game and thats what ludum dare is about, congratulations! I like the idea but as others already stated there is no real challenge. Some asteroids that damge your ship would have made it much better. Still impressive what you managed to create in 10 hours. We also made a space game, check it out if you want to: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/42-mikronikus
Good graphics and ligtnig which - combined with the music - creates a very gloomy mood, well done! But I didn't get how to collect all the resources except for wood. If you want to check out our space game here is the link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/42-mikronikus
Nice idea, the choir and the movement sound didn't really go together. The idea has lots of potential, though! If you want to check out our game, here is the link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/42-mikronikus
I really like the idea and how the asteroids deform the planets. The building is fun but i didn't like that the asteroids destroyed the whole build. Well done though! We made a game with gravity physics as well, check it out if you want: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/42-mikronikus
The volume of the music is a bit high, even on 3% it was still quite loud. I did however like the rest of the game and it was pretty fun, well done! Check out our game if you like: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/42-mikronikus
I really dig the idea of the game and like how you implemented the different engines and categories. In your new version of the game the timer starts at 4 seconds which was probably not inteded. I like how every engine is different but the Unreal Engine is op and Unity is pretty much useless. It would have been nice if you added a few more features or details too make it more interesting. But you created a full game so congrats! If you want to check out our game here is the link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/small-war-ld
I like how you merged two games into one and the graphics are quite good. But in my opinion the space part of your game is way too easy and there is no real challenge other then the time running out. Still think it's well polished and all in all a good game, congratulations! We mad a space game too, check it out if you want! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/42-mikronikus
Solid entry! I really liked the intro and the humor in general.
The graphics are great. I've tried doing pixel art too but it was just too hard an time consuming - especially the animations.
Your game fits in perfectly with the theme. Something that we couldn't achieve with our game :D
Your game is pretty fun!
I loved the sacrifice animation and the screams with it :D. The sound that plays when you build a prince/princess is hilarious.
I also liked that if you stock up on everything except dresses you can mass produce royalties. Only killing all the princes is quite the challenge with a maximum of 3 bullets next to the cannon!
Overall I really enjoyed myself playing your game! Thanks!
Your game is pretty fun. Even though the assets aren't going to win any prizes, they are quite charming. The Weapons are nicely done. I like that you have to use the Grenade Launcher to reach some Spots. I really loved the slow motion when your pile is destroyed. Only the Theme was kind of lacking but I think that was the hardes part this Ludum Dare. We struggled with that too :D
This was great! My favourite little detail were the bouncing arrows. They were so fun to play with. I liked the Boss it made the whole game feel completed. The fight was quite tough but after a few tries I managed to beat him. I was a bit sad that my wife ran away from me screaming "MONSTEEEERR" but it made me laugh at the same time! I was just excpecting some generic ending, well done!
This was interesting! I liked the idea of having to build your own path. But it was too hard in my opinion :D The most shapes above each other that I reached was 4. Did you ever manage to get to the goal?
Like @qazwsxedc121 mentioned, better keybindings would have helped. Maybe something like WAD to jump and move and Q and E to place the shapes.
I enjoyed playing! Thanks :)
First of all 100 bonus points for doing this in C++ and not Unity or the like! Really enjoied this game especially the third map where it got quite tricky :D. The slow down on collisions was a really nice idea. It made be a lot more carefull about overtaking cleanly instead of just pushing the opponents out of the way. The music selection was really great too, I'm still listening to it as I write this. Would have loved to see a few more maps, good job guys!
This was a great little experience! Really liked the writing and the story. The graphics - especially the lighting - were beautiful. The music was really fitting. Would have loved it to be a bit longer, but it's also funny to think that guy is stuck in that tiny loop for eternity :D
Well done!
I really enjoied the game. The Theme is spot on, and the game/level design was well thought out. Some parts were a bit frustrating. For example at the first stairs with rocks falling down. But when your realized you can hide under those steps it was quite rewarding. Same with the Boss fight but i don't want to spoil that for others :).
First of all congratulations on your first ludum dare entry! It's a really nice one, and i would love to see more of it but there is only so much you can do in 72 hours :D. Liked the rewind aspect, we've got something similar in our game too. In the beginning i thought i would have to do something to the window especially with that vase.
The puzzle was really nice good job!
Great spin on the Theme! I really liked the art style, especially the Wormhole! I would have liked to see some keyboard controlls too, but that's just a minor inconvenienve. I couldn't gest past this level, but that was probably due to my lack of skill. It looked awesome though: Screenshot 2020-10-06 123907.png
What a great spin on the theme. It took a few tries to get the golden horseshoe, but it was really fun! The map was really nice with lot's of opportunitys to thrash that sheriff. This is definetly one of the best games i played this ludum dare, good job!
I really enjoied this game! The gameplay was hard without being frustrating, which made it really fun and addictive. Would have loved to see a few more levels! The simple graphics are really well done and the animation is a nice touch.
Good job for your first ludum dare entry!
Good job on your first ludum dare entry! The graphics and the animations were superb! I found some jumps a bit too tricky for a puzzle game, but the puzzles themselves really made up for that. The ending was a really nice touch as well!
P.S: That poison potion was nasty :D
I can't seem to find an exe in the zip from itch.io?
That was fun! I really liked the pixel art animations. The furthest i got was 4000, would love to know what your highscore is :D For the next LD have a look at Particle Systems, they would really spice up those flames.
Solid entry!
Great story! Also the animations of Dipper are really nice, especially that right-click attack. As someone else said the movement was a bit clunky/too realistic. I never got past that monster after the hydra, was that the last boss? The music was really good. Did you make it yourselfs?
Overall a great first LD game, good on you!
Great atmosphere! Loved the music and i think the slow pace between fights was really fitting. The combat system was super unique and i really enjoyed it. The art was good and consisten, which is quite important imo.
Great job!
Great little puzzle game! I loved the music and sound effects. The graphics were nice and consisten and the animations added a lot. The step size toggle is also really smart to make the puzzles harder.
Good job!
Great art/animations, the gameplay was also really nice. I felt like fall-damage was a bit high/early. Didn't use the ground pound much because of that. The fire/acid coming from above was great and created some very close situations. The main menu was really innovative, i liked that :D
Would have loved a few more levels, but i understand that there wasn't time for that...
Great entry!!
Really chilled game. I enjoyed trying to figure out what the different weapons would do while listening to that awesome music. The furthest I got was 8. It was kinda to get the sword users to die, so that they could be replaced instead of two of them dying in the same round.
Good job!
Really liked the atmosphere! The music, the ticking of that hazard light and everything getting darker and darker made my palms sweaty. The furthest i got was 5500 meters. Did you ever reach the bottom? What happens whe you do?
Good job on your first LD game!
Great little game! I really liked that the enemy ships were made up of components that you could destroy independently. And to be honest the background music created quite an eery vibe that worked. If that was intentional than good job! :D
Overall a solid ld entry!
This is awesome! Such a unique idea and it works really well too! The pixel art and the animations are really good as well. Great entry!
I really liked the models and the lighting. Good Job!
I don't know if it was intentional but the dude walking into the shower with his clothes on while still being half asleep cracked me up :D Would love to see the finished game but that was probably impossible with all the modelling, animation and script writing.
@tenshi42 Good choice :D
Cool puzzle game! I really liked how the music changed underwater. It felt really rewarding when i figuered it out and didn't get eaten by the shark :D. Good job!
I really liked this one! The narration is awesome but got a bit annoying after a couple of tries :D. The sprites of the player and the camera leaning felt/looked really good! Really good job guys!
Awesome game! It's super good lookig and I really enjoyed the mood! The bombs were a great addition. Great job!
My highscore was 41000. I don't know if that's good but it took me quite some time :D
Great game! I really liked the trash talk and the end was also really fitting :D Good job!
Great game! I really liked the player animations/sprites. Good job!
Great little game! I liked the music and voicelines especially. You missed out on the punt "delay the inedible" it would have fit your game even more than ours! :D
This was my best round:

Wow, what an innovative concept! Really liked your approach to the theme! The graphics were great and i admmire your use of shaders! Good job!!
This game is immensly beatiful! The animation between reality and the "upside down" is just so slick! Also the voice acting and music create such a gread mood... Good job!!!
Awesome game! How did you manage to get all that done in 72 hours?? :D The movement is super fun and the levels have just the right difficulty to be challenging but not too frustrating, well done!
And I'm wondering, did you create the levels in blender?
Cool game! The animations/particle systems were great and i really liked clouds in the background! Keep it up!
Great prototype! The art style is great and i wish there were more levels to play! Good job!
Oh and fyi the ldjam embedded version worked flawlessly for me :)
Lovely game! A bit hard at times but that made it even more rewarding to find my doggo! Congrats on finishing the game in the short few days!
Wow, great entry! I'm impressed with how much you were able to build in the short time. Really liked the dialog with the boss and the audio was great as well! Good job!
@zaphire Thank for the review! I wasn't aware of any new input system, should look into that. But arrow keys should still work as a fallback!
Thanks for all the great reviews! They mean a lot! Especially @cantthinkofaname! Your enthusiasm made my day!
Wow the art and animations are great! Looking forward to what this will turn out to be in the end :)
Good job on your first game jam entry! Delivering the packages was quite tough, the best i got was 6 :O The audio was decenet and it's amazing to me that you managed to include all the different screens and volume slider. Well done!
I really liked the art style, color choice and the card draw/discard animations as we also implemented something similar for our game. And the concept is really cool but quite tough to manage your hand while having to play chess at the same time. Great idea!
The arrow on the spire of the first plundered/rebuilt village that points to where to go is a really good idea. I really liked the vibe of the music when it got going. It was very fitting. Unfortunately it was quite laggy on my old laptop with only 4 or so demons summoned but i still managed to defeat the castle with the big ones :) Great game!
This game was very mysterious and i liked it. From the keybinds to why a cat is fighting a candlestick :D Lovely graphics and animations. I especially like the crouch/uncrouch animation and that the cat would be just as fast while crouching!
I was really drawn to the aesthetics of this game. Even the itch site looks super fine. As of the game, i liked how there was a strategy to space them out so that they could attack more enemies instead of all going for the same one. I had a bit of trouble selecting the units sometimes but managed to "lose" the game after three waves :D Great first entry!
Best game I've come across! Love to double jump mushroom. The particle effect was really nice to know they were there when the mushroom was out of camera. Lovely graphics and animations especially the dance at the end! Good job!
Great game! Loved all the cute plushies and the manual claw game. Good job!
@janinna21 Thank you so much! Our record is 8 seasons at the moment, but less might be possible :D
Wow what a great premise. Loved the idea the art and the music. Found the controls a bit hard but when it was great to figure out the last cat!
Great entry! Really liked all the item descriptions! I played it to the end with ruth and bart. My favorite were the sticky items and one time i managed 50 damage :O Sad that i didn't get to use the pad hah, since the last bully was a women. Is there a way to use it? Oh and great art and soundtrack too!
Wow three games in one! Great intro. I was too bad to finish the third game. Those spinny things were throwing me around sooo much. The other too were super easy in comparison. Good job!
Edit: Oops commented on the wrong game, can't seem to delete my post. Sorry!
What a beautiful game. Loved the pixel art. The gameplay felt super satisfying. Unfortunately i always managed to glitch into the walls somehow and had to restart the game. And after the 5th try i gave up and only ever reached the first summit before it happend. But it felt pretty good to speedrun the first part :D Great job!
Wow we were thinking about a similar concept. Nice to see someone actually do it. We wouldn't have been genius enough to connect it with bats :O Great entry!
