LD42 — Running out of space

Hose Moose by StabAlarash 2018-08-14T20:35:52Z

It's a good game. I liked the mechanics, and even I would like to play more variations of levels. But maybe I've found a bug, or something. I noticed that when you restart the game, and quickly extinguish the flame the game ends, becoming extremely easy. I do not know if I'm wrong, but apart from that, everything worked very well. Congratulations!

FIND - A - MOLE by Siridakis 2018-08-14T16:02:39Z

Very innovative mechanics, good game!

Castle Crabers by Greet 2018-08-14T16:32:11Z

Interesting mechanics, and quite different. I think the gameplay is a bit superficial. Maybe it's a game that needs evolution in the future. Good job!

Loneliness by Saering 2018-08-14T16:23:24Z

I found a good start for a horror game (the audio is really well done), but I did not understand the concept of "Running out of space", so well applied in the game.

Waste of Time by Reispfannenfresser 2018-08-14T23:43:48Z

Great job, I liked the controls and the explosions haha.

Inventory Quest by acfaruk 2018-08-14T20:44:07Z

It's a cool game. It has a different but interesting mechanics. Maybe it needs some variation in the gameplay, despite the intention of being a simple gameplay. Good job!

Very interesting work. I really liked the graphics and also the sound. I find the story behind very intriguing, and it motivates you to want to understand more. I like the retro vibe of the game. The controls are very simple and functional, with a few seconds you learn how to play, and that's a good thing. I hope you will consider making a bigger and more complete version of your game, as I believe it is a project with potential. Good job.

Escape Loop by lagoe 2020-10-13T05:34:24Z

Very good graphics and atmosphere of horror in the game. I liked the retro artistic style. It really resembles Playstation 1 games, and brings a good nostalgic feeling. I liked the puzzles, although I believe I shouldn't have been able to finish them all. Maybe the game could be a little clearer, or the character a little faster, but other than that I think the experience was very interesting. Congratulations.

Roll your Dough by ancient-pixel 2020-10-07T14:02:17Z

BULLETS FROM THE PAST by Cambryx 2020-10-07T14:55:09Z

Good game! I really liked the mechanics of creating clones at each loop, really really creative. The graphics are magnificent, and the sound is very good too. Excellent gameplay. Congratulations on the production.

Stuck in a Loop (station) by erikiene 2020-10-08T20:36:54Z

The game was very creative, I liked the mechanics involved, the graphics, and especially the sound haha. If you allow me, a suggestion that I can give you, is that you have some kind of simple tutorial at the beginning of the game (even if it is a few words explaining the importance of watching the lights), because I for example was very lost until I understood the first one puzzle (I almost couldn't see the red lights on or off). Sometimes it could have been something on my monitor (or in my eyes, who knows hahaha). Anyway, your idea is magnificent, and it was really a good job. Congratulations.

West by ursagames 2020-10-26T17:31:00Z

Wow, that Red Dead Redemption vibe hahaha. I really liked the graphics and the sound. There are really very professional details in your game, it is an excellent creation. The physics in your game seems very well implemented too. I enjoyed doing the missions in general. I believe your game has a lot of potential, you should turn it into something expanded and complete. The riding mechanics on the horse, and the shooting mechanics were well thought out. Finally, I think the experience was very interesting. Good job.

LA FAILLE by MatLab 2020-10-09T04:57:00Z

I don't know how to define the meaning of my life after this game, honestly ... hahaha I think I had fun, it's a unique experience this game haha, good job.

Sammy and the Orb by morrilet 2020-10-15T20:07:14Z

Very interesting the mechanics related to the theme that you elaborated. I liked the graphics and the music too. The atmosphere of the game gives you the feeling of having to be thinking at all times to be able to solve the puzzle. I just found the controls a little confusing, mainly to understand everything I could do by holding the shift. But it was a very rewarding experience anyway. Congratulations.

edit: I made a mistake when typing. Please, I'm sorry about that. When I said, "... I could do by holding the shit ...", there was a missing "F" in the word shift (I wanted to write shift and not shit hahah). I noticed this when rereading my comment now. I don't know if you noticed that I was rude, but it definitely wasn't my intention. I'm really sorry, my friend. :)

Ribbon by 100th_Coin 2020-10-16T23:21:25Z

Wow, your game is incredibly creative! I think I can dare to say that it is the most original and creative among all the games that tried to follow the theme in this game jam / compo. The graphics are very nice as well as the sound is amazing too. Everything works perfectly. I can imagine several possibilities, thinking about an expanded and complete version of your game. You created something very precise, don't be afraid to polish this jewel! If I may, the only suggestion I can give you, is that maybe (just maybe), the controls are a little tricky to pick up in the beginning, so my suggestion is that you consider facilitating movement in some way. But still, the important point is that your controls work, and that's a very good thing. Anyway, congratulations for the creativity, and for the achievement, few manage to abstract the idea behind the theme in a very satisfying way. Good job!

Groove Interpolator by Spotline 2020-10-09T16:04:19Z

Save The Prince by AVAVT 2020-10-23T12:28:09Z

Your game is very beautiful and creative. I can imagine something with a lot of potential if I want to continue working on this project. The board mechanics with dice is quite interesting. A coop in your game would go down really well hahaha. But talking about your project itself, the experience is very good, the graphics are beautiful, and the controls are quite functional. It is a well-balanced game. Good job.

Retake by 55_maximus_55 2020-10-13T13:11:18Z

POKKO by gord10ahmet 2020-10-26T22:03:34Z

A very creative game! I like thematic involving a gameboy, this is something very nostalgic. The graphics are very beautiful, and the music is good, as well as the sound effects. The controls are precise, and the level design, including the puzzles, is very interesting and well planned. The main mechanics, involving copies that perform the same movements that the player had made, is pretty cool. In general it is a good interpretation of the theme, and the game itself offers a pleasant experience. I hope that you consider making an expanded and commercial version, it would be incredible. The end of your game was chilling hahaha. Good job.

Mission ∞ by ryzy27 2020-10-27T19:53:27Z

I liked your game, the atmosphere is very good, reminiscent of dead space, but without violence and in 2D, and that I thought was cool haha. The controls are good, as are the graphics and especially the sound. The mechanics of exploring while an alien might surprise you is well done. The only point I didn't like very much is that the game is very dark, I don't know if it was something on my monitor, but I think it could be a little bit more with light. Anyway, it was a very good experience. Congratulations.

It is an excellent interpretation of the theme. Congratulations.

Ouroboros: The Cursed Hero by LERPish 2020-10-09T05:38:50Z

The game's introduction has a very good graphic style. I liked the soundtrack too. I was just confused about the combat in the game, and I had problems jumping (my character didn't return to the ground in some moments). Anyway it looks like a promising job.

Core Defender by Hadi Danial 2020-10-21T18:05:00Z

At first I didn't understand how to play, so I ended up finishing the game just by pressing space Haha. But then I came back to your game page and read better what should be done and that pressing the space and ending the game would be a bug. Anyway, I really enjoyed the experience, it's a simple and fun game. The graphics are ok, and the music is cool. It is a good interpretation of the theme. The mechanics of moving "inside a loop" while you have to look for a better angle to shoot, is interesting. Good job.

A very different and interesting game. I like the way you handled the graphics. Of course, if you design something bigger, your solution wouldn't work, but your game is pretty good anyway. The sound effects are good too. And I liked having to find out what to do to get the tasks done. Good job.

ps: If I can play my game before the game review time runs out, I would be grateful hahaha.

The graphics are beautiful, and the soundtrack is magnificent (along with all the dialogues and sound effects). The interpretation of the theme was fantastic in that game. Fault Outcome by VPhyre 2020-10-08T23:26:59Z

Hello @rhythmic-revival, just to answer your question, the game is really short, and the puzzles are intentionally "easy", since many people end up giving up if they get stuck in general in the games. Our idea was to focus on what we could do in relation to the theme, at the same time that we wanted our game to be very accessible to a larger number of people. Of course, the short time and possibly some lack of experience also did not allow us to create more "fair" puzzles. And yes, we are analyzing all feedback, and evaluating a "complete and expanded" version of our game. And in a larger version, we intend to improve all aspects of the game, including a more elaborate difficulty on top of the puzzles (we intend to expand the concept of the puzzles on top of VHS tapes, even our initial idea was the existence of more tapes to be collected). Thank you very much for the feedback. :)

Fault Outcome by VPhyre 2020-10-09T19:43:41Z

Hi @fupi , thanks for reporting a bug. And thank you very much for the feedback. We are considering and analyzing everything said here so that we can improve in a future full version. :)

Fault Outcome by VPhyre 2020-10-12T18:59:22Z

Hello @toccio94, I would like to tell you a little about the puzzle of cups. We plan to "tell the story of the game" in a slightly more elaborate way, however we were unable to do it the way we planned because of the short time. But at first we wanted to associate the red cup with the ghost (which in our story is the character's dead brother), so the color red and notice that the ghost wears a red scarf. And consequently the blue cup is related to the main character. We would go deeper into the story, gradually exposing the characters' personality in the item descriptions, and there would also be other VHS tapes, which would help to tell the story better (as well as there would be more rooms with more items to be explored). Anyway, we couldn't focus on how to tell the story better, so we decided to focus on showing our interpretation of the theme. Perhaps my explanation was still confused, but in summary everything there in the game had a reason with a certain logic behind it, defined by us. Anyway thank you very much for the feedback, we are reading everything here and studying the best way of knowing how to make an expanded and complete version of our game. :)

Fault Outcome by VPhyre 2020-10-12T22:03:05Z

@toccio94 No problems, buddy. Your comment did not sound harsh, on the contrary, I found a good observation on the puzzle of the cups (sorry if my previous comment sounded harsh). So I wanted to share with you a little of what we had planned. But your comment was very helpful, just like all the feedback we are receiving. This feedback interaction I think in the end is very important for everyone. :)

Fault Outcome by VPhyre 2020-10-13T04:45:58Z

@rvenson Oh no, you got me hahaha, let's consider the mouse cursor an easter egg, right? hahaha, thanks for the feedback. :)

Fault Outcome by VPhyre 2020-10-13T19:46:49Z

Hello @trexxak, about the mouse pointer, i'm sorry for that hahaha, we produced that VHS video about 3 or 4 times and there was always some detail to improve. In this "latest version" the detail was the mouse pointer unfortunately (which ended up being due to the short time). We still leave this version of the video on the tape provisionally, as we are strongly considering expanding our game and making a full version. So we thought about remaking the videos, with the introduction of some others if we continue with the idea of expanding the game. Anyway, thank you very much for the feedback. :)

Fault Outcome by VPhyre 2020-10-16T12:52:26Z

Hello @jam373, we are considering making an extended and complete version of our game. We intend to give the player more autonomy from the execution of the VHS tape (our idea is that the player can find other tapes in more rooms). Thank you very much for your feedback. :)

Fault Outcome by VPhyre 2020-10-26T22:55:57Z

Hello @gord10ahmet, to help you, after you clean the blue cup, and put coffee in the red cup (no matter the order), the door on the left should open, and you should go back to the first room. In the first room, you will see that the door on the left will open, however there is a "little detail" that you must do before leaving. I will give a spoiler below what should be done, if in case you want to see it (and also to ensure that you are not stuck in a possible bug, although so far we are not aware of a bug that makes it impossible to complete the game). In addition, thanks for the feedback and tips.

Spoiler:

In the last room, you must interact with the only "interactable" item in order to "break the loop", finish the story, and get out of the room. The item in question is the photo on the wall. You can either watch it or interact with it (which means taking it away with you). Remember, that just pressing the observe button (R) will not stop time, you need to interact (press E) with the board. There is a meaning behind this, closely related to the little story we try to tell.

Ps: If you still can't get through, please let me know. Perhaps you may be witnessing an unknown bug. And thanks again for the comment. :)

Hello again guys!

@jesiahli and I would like to thank everyone who played our game, and left some words of feedback here in the comments for us. All the comments were very important so that we could understand which points were good and which points we can (and should) improve.

All compliments and criticisms were read and considered. And through all the comments that are here, we are analyzing and considering making a possible expanded and complete version of our game. So soon you will be able to hear about our game once again haha.

It was really fun and interesting for us to develop this game together. We believe that the main meaning of a game jam is professional (and even personal) growth of those who participate. And we can say that we managed to achieve our goals with our game. We hope that everyone who participated in this game has managed to achieve what they wanted!

And so we intend to continue our saga as developers. Finally, I would like to ask everyone who is interested in our work to kindly follow us here at Ludum Dare. We intend to continue making games for future gamejams! Thanks again and a hug to everyone!

See you later!

Light footsteps after the rain by Chocolat-Endive 2020-10-07T15:22:05Z

Excellent atmosphere in the game. I liked the interactions and the photos. Good job.

Rock 'N Load by KeyurRana 2020-10-11T04:20:51Z

Very fun and creative your game. His interpretation of the theme is quite original as well. I hope you will consider making an expanded and complete version of this game. It would be very interesting to play. I liked the experience in general. I found the shooting and movement controls very comfortable, and the mechanics work very well. The shots doing "composing" basically the music are magnificent. Good job.

Phase Decay by Fluffy_Kaeloky 2020-10-19T04:02:26Z

Your game is interesting. The theme concept I think was well applied. I like the stealth mechanics, mainly because I have to pass slowly so as not to wake up the machine gun's hahaha. It is a lot of fun to explore the scenery running out of time. The only point that I didn't like very much was the limitation that occurs in the scenario when time runs out, as for example some doors are inaccessible. Anyway, it's a well-produced game that offers an interesting experience. Good job!

The Vendor by Shambles 2020-10-08T04:22:08Z

Interesting mechanics of being a vendor. I found the graphics very beautiful and I liked the experience in general. Good job.

WONK - Aretha Wonk uses the internet. by mitsu.artemius 2020-10-16T12:46:28Z

I felt like a "grandma simulator" hahaha. I really liked the pixel art style applied (reminiscent of the graphic style I applied in my game haha). The music is good to hear (am I already a grandfather and I still don't know? Hahahah). Your game experience is very good, although I haven't figured out how to finish it. Anyway, it was a good job. Congratulations.

Start The Game (Together) by Raivk 2020-10-11T03:53:16Z

Wow, it's one of the most creative games on this jam! I really liked the graphics and the atmosphere in general. The mini-games are cool and classic too. Your project is very promising. I hope one day to play a bigger and more complete version of your game. Congratulations on the work.

hudunnit by Minus 2020-10-07T04:28:30Z

Good execution of the theme. Cool graphics and sounds. I hope you continue with the project, it was incredible. Congratulations.

Very interesting the proposal of the game. I liked the mechanics. Congratulations.

Chaos in the Cabin by Moritz Jaeger 2020-10-16T20:09:32Z

What a funny and entertaining game! It is an excellent and creative interpretation of the theme. Very well designed! The graphics are cool, and the sound is really good too. It's really fun to play while the plane is spinning in order to complete the game. Good job.

Reactor Cycles by Dock Frankenstein 2020-10-08T21:25:28Z

Very cool concept. Mechanics are creative. I was a little confused, but I think I managed to play. Congratulations.

Late To Work: Escape the Mundane by ZachZ 2020-10-16T13:53:49Z

I really like the vibe of your game. The graphics are beautiful, I love the pixel art (it resembles the graphic style of my game hahaha). It is an interesting game, of running out of time to collect the items on the stage. Congratulations.

Recoil BR by Aditya Kumar 2020-10-06T21:22:22Z

Very interesting idea. The graphics are beautiful, and the music is good. I was just a little confused about the mechanics. Good luck and success to you!

Permit A-39 by kirroyal 2020-10-16T19:59:25Z

Your game is very different and creative. The mechanics of decorating the sequence of rooms to be visited is also very interesting. The graphics are good as well as the sound. His interpretation of the theme is quite fun. Congratulations.

Rise and Shine by Riyroo 2020-10-06T20:54:39Z

I thought your game was very good. I liked the application of the theme. But I couldn't finish it (I don't know if it was intentional haha), it seems I didn't really understand how I should clean or organize it. Good job anyway.

Tempus Guardian by Stefan Pijnacker GD 2020-10-27T12:51:54Z

Extremely creative interpretation of the theme. I really like the concept of moving rooms. I believe that you will be able to produce something very grand and innovative if you consider expanding and transforming your game into a commercial game. I like the graphics as well as the sound. The zoom effects are quite interesting as well. The controls are good and functional. The only point I believe you should work on is the colliders at some points in the scenario (some seem to be larger than they should be). But in general it is an extremely good and innovative experience. Good job.

Dead Hand by Kszaku 2020-10-14T13:38:51Z

Interesting work. Something very retro and creative. I liked using command lines to interact with your game hahaha. It's a very interesting type of immersion. Congratulations.

A Loop to Save The World by Crazybot 2020-10-09T16:35:57Z

Your game really interesting. I liked the experience in general. The graphic style is pleasant, and the controls work very well. Level design very well elaborated. Congratulations.

Gunguin by TinySalad 2020-10-15T19:27:38Z

Your game has very beautiful graphics. I really liked the sound too. The controls are comfortable and functional. The most interesting point was the implementation of the check ponit, which greatly improves the experience. Good job.

NiGHTMXRE by DanyVk 2020-10-06T23:13:36Z

Very good horror atmosphere. I liked the setting, the graphics and sound are good. Congratulations.

Just another Day by Jeremia 2020-10-16T15:09:00Z

Very interesting your game. The graphics are nice (they even resemble the graphics in my game, because of pixel art hahaha). I like the sound too. The controls are simple and functional, and that's a good point. I liked the experience in general. Mini-games like washing up are fun. I think I saw some interaction bugs with the items, but nothing too serious. Good job.

RENT by Jam373 2020-10-13T14:52:19Z

Your game seems to be quite different, the graphics are strange, but I like it. The experience in general is interesting. Good job.

Hiccup Time by Somogy 2020-10-17T05:49:25Z

Spooky Mansion by philipprapp95 2020-10-22T14:08:57Z

Wow, what an incredible job. I really liked the graphics, and the setting of the scene. The puzzles to find the vases are very well designed, especially the mirror puzzle. The concept of taking an item and taking it to a specific one is quite interesting. In general it was a very good experience. Your game is different and creative. I had some problems with bugs. The elevators sometimes did not seem to work (I was even stuck on the initial floor and on the floor above it, as the elevator did not descend below the initial floor), and one of the mirrors entered the wall and I was unable to get it out (although I still managed to solve the puzzle). Anyway, bugs in a game jam are normal, and your work here is magnificent. Congratulations.

HONK II by Tricky_Fat_Cat 2020-10-17T05:40:12Z

Your game is very hardcore! It is impossible not to remember Doom. It's a beautiful tribute hahaha. I loved the graphics and also the sound. The gameplay is very comfortable, and the controls respond correctly. The experience in general is very good. Congratulations.

Different and unique, I think it is extremely rewarding to leave each button in automatic mode every time you can find the item. The graphics are very beautiful, as well as the sound is very well designed. In general it is a pleasant experience. I hope you will consider making an expanded and commercial version of your game. Good job.

Stuck in An Egg by Demuss 2020-10-15T15:22:43Z

Your game is very fun, unique and creative. Its controls and mechanics are simple and functional. The graphics are understandable, and the sound is good. It is very satisfying to prevent the egg from breaking hahaha. It really is a great job. Interesting your interpretation of the theme. Congratulations.

Billy's Nightmare by Pierre CILLUFFO 2020-10-21T19:12:08Z

Very well done your game. The controls are simple and comfortable. The sound is very good as well as the graphics are pleasant. The interaction system is very interesting, which gives you several options, and sometimes you must come back to interact again, always when you discover something new. It is a very interesting experience. Good job.

Ps: My game has mechanics a little bit similar to your game, hahaha.

Amusement Shark by No Grapes Games 2020-10-27T20:00:03Z

Your game has a very creative and different mechanics. I liked the graphics as well as the sound. The controls are very comfortable. I don't think it was a very good experience. Congratulations.

A Day in the Woods by ditam 2020-10-27T18:44:41Z

Your game is simple but very interesting. The graphics are nice and functional, and the music is really good too. The written narration describing what should be done, is simply incredible, it creates a very pleasant atmosphere for the game. I don't know if I made it to the end of the game (I found the chest only once). But I really liked what you produced anyway, and I think it is a project with the potential to be something expanded and complete. The experience in general is very satisfying. Congratulations.

P.S .: If you can play my game I will be grateful haha.

Infinite Loop by bordonne 2020-10-06T23:51:33Z

I liked your idea haha, great for programmers. Very cool loop concept. Congratulations.

Pillars of Anguish by Outfrost 2020-10-07T03:15:18Z

Great mechanics. I really liked the game in general, very well elaborated, one of the best within the theme. Congratulations.

The Hidden Soul by Ovid 2020-10-23T02:49:18Z

Your game is very old school, and this is amazing! I really enjoyed your work, mainly because it was the only one so far that I saw that you tried to do something in C ++, and I think it very interesting. The graphics are nice and the gameplay reminds me of Doom. The sound is very good too. I was just a little confused on how the controls worked (although I had the tutorial explaining), but nothing that got in the way of the experience. On the contrary, in general it was a very cool and fun experience. Congratulations, good job.

Loop City by Fupi 2020-10-09T16:14:47Z

Lucky Lefty Loves Loops by TheBookSnail 2020-10-17T20:26:33Z

Man I tried and did my best, but I only got 36.06 hahaha. I really liked your game, the main mechanics are just brilliant. It is something creative, and unique. The graphics are simple and functional, and the sound is quite pleasant. It is very addictive to try to find ways to improve your time. It is definitely a well-designed game based on a great interpretation of the theme. Congratulations on your creativity and work in general!

Kitchen Satisfaction by Huntrox 2020-10-19T18:20:05Z

A simple and very fun game. I had a little difficulty understanding that I had to click on the "use" button to actually use the recipe, but then everything went well. The experience was very pleasant. It's nice to hear what each NPC would like to eat (or not), and then choose the best recipe that could fit with what they said. The graphics are simple but functional, and the sound is pretty cool. It's an interesting game concept, which I believe you could take forward, and do something bigger with. Good job.

The Serpent of Scorhill by Jofish 2020-10-14T02:01:37Z

Your game is very reminiscent of an old snake game. The mechanics elaborated are very interesting and creative. I liked the graphics and the music too. Overall, I found it a fun experience. Congratulations.

Sasha by amirrajan 2020-10-08T19:48:56Z

Incredible game. It is a beautiful achievement, the whole atmosphere involved makes the experience incredible. Mainly the sound. It is very good to imagine what is happening, just reading. Congratulations, and I hope you continue to work on this project.

Caterpillar Dissent: Deliverance by Skleembof 2020-10-27T13:45:37Z

For a moment I felt like playing with the goron mask in Zelda Majora's Mask! Wow! Haha, the graphics are well done, and the gameplay is fun. The music is fantastic hahaha. Unfortunately after some time I got stuck in a part of the scene. But either way, I think I was able to enjoy the game experience, it's really fun to roll out at high speed haha. Good job.

Countdown Trap by Ulisses 2020-10-14T20:06:23Z

The game in general looks very promising. I really liked the graphics and the sound. Most puzzles are interesting as well. I just had problems with the puzzle claimed with colored wrenches. Unfortunately I was unable to resolve it. Either way, your game looks really fun. Congratulations.

Surround Them! by Aune 2020-10-19T18:26:36Z

A creative game. I liked the mechanics of surrounding enemies to defeat them, for sure it's something very different and unique. It is an excellent interpretation of the theme. The graphics are beautiful and the sound is well produced. Every audio-visual part matches well. Congratulations.

Hackermon - Evil Edition by Le Don 2020-10-14T15:17:54Z

Hey your game gives me a lot of nostalgia for just remembering the graphics of pokemon haha. Congratulations on the project, I loved the "hacking the code" feature, really interesting. In general it is a cool and creative experience. Good job.

Loopedy Island by Douwe_Ravers 2020-10-19T18:03:34Z

Very interesting game. I really like being able to drive dangerously fast, looking for ramps hahaha. The graphics are cool, and the sound is good. Although I witnessed some crashes in the audio, but I imagine it is because of the HTML5 version. Anyway, the experience was really fun, I think you're on the right track. Congratulations.

Za Loopo! by NarRenArr 2020-10-08T04:17:48Z

Interesting game. Good job.

"Used to it." by TheAidency 2020-10-16T14:45:57Z

Stuck in a FOR Loop by Thiago Nascimento 2020-10-09T06:37:57Z

Your game is amazing! I think it is one of the best games in this game jam, which interprets the theme very well. I really enjoyed your game. It is satisfactory to perform the tasks and everything. Great experience. Congratulations.

Delivery Boy Forever by civmaniac 2020-10-17T21:46:47Z

Wow, what a game with a deep story! I believed (wrongly) that the story was much simpler ... What a good surprise, that I was wrong hahaha. I liked the graphics and the sound in general. I think the simple gameplay is a good point in your game. The mechanics of finding secret words is very creative, you can do something bigger with your project, as it is a project with a lot of potential! At first I was a little confused, if I was progressing, or if the game was actually ending. But then I made it to the end, and it was really good. Good job.

Fearcle by Jupperevie 2020-10-08T23:10:04Z

Beautiful game. Incredible atmosphere, and excellent level design. I love games with this horror feel. Very good interpretation of the theme. Congratulations, I hope to play a full version one day.

Ps: My game is similar to yours!

LoopGame by GandalfTheGod 2020-10-16T12:14:21Z

The graphics of your game are very beautiful. I really like the pixel art style (so much that I used the same graphic style in my game haha). The sound is very interesting too. I was a little confused at first in how the mechanics worked, but I believe in the end I was able to understand how to play correctly. It's a really fun idea, I can imagine an expanded and complete version. Congratulations.

Group Chat by Meatball 2020-10-27T18:52:07Z

Your game looks like an interesting experiment. I think you can create some kind of different and fun mechanics if you reuse what you did, especially the concept of "selfie cameras". It is without a doubt a different execution. I found the graphics fun, as well as the sound too. Congratulations on the implementation.

Loopy Racing by WillyPa 2020-10-09T18:38:03Z

It looks like an 80's game. I liked the retro factor of the game. Very interesting, good job.

Fire Loop by Kevin Meissner 2020-10-15T18:44:49Z

I really liked the atmosphere of your game. The graphics are beautiful, the sound is functional, and the controls are very interesting. I imagine a bigger game with the same mechanics and different types of spells. I had a good experience in general with your game. Good job.

Jerry's Misfortune by Notredamstra 2020-10-19T04:25:28Z

Very good job! I enjoyed the experience of your game. The graphics are very simple but functional, the sound is cool, and the controls are completely comfortable. I liked the way you interpreted the theme. The scenery being a mouth, it's very funny and creative hahaha. It is quite satisfactory to mine enough to then release a new feature. This is very interesting. Overall it's a fun game, congratulations.

Carman by steambrain 2020-10-07T05:21:47Z

I would say it is a philosophical game haha. Very creative. Congratulations.

Pete Repeat by ChilleBigPP 2020-10-13T20:44:56Z

Coalescence: Battle System Prototype by Seth Tal 2020-10-27T12:21:02Z

It is a very interesting prototype. I like the graphics and the sound too. The mechanics of the battle are innovative, you would certainly be able to expand it into something bigger. Perhaps you could adjust the reload time for buffs. In general it is a pleasant experience. Good job.

Untiled Runner Game by WatermelonAndMe 2020-10-16T13:47:39Z

The graphics of your game are quite beautiful. I like the double jump mechanics, especially in the genre of your game, as it is something I consider different. Overall, the game delivers an interesting experience. Congratulations.

Imperial Eggnog Incorporated by Blue Pin Studio 2020-10-27T02:20:14Z

Your game is very different and unique. I like the graphics, as well as the sound and the dubbing. It is fun the mechanics of analyzing a product to check if it meets the quality requirements. The controls are simple and functional. In general it is an interesting experience. Congratulations.

Frozen Potency by Eugenik 2020-10-17T19:40:32Z

Very creative the mechanics of your game. I think it is something very unique and different among the other games. It is really something very interesting and "out of the box", to be able to walk on the wall and the ceiling. It's also nice to throw the boxes to defeat the enemies while I dodged the shots. The graphics are pleasant as well as the sound. The controls work well, although I had a little trouble "getting the hang of it", and understanding how the game worked. However, I believe that these points did not hinder the experience at all. Good job.

(Nu) Da Drum by Trexxak 2020-10-17T20:00:45Z

Well the main mechanics of your game seems to be very creative and different. Although I believe I was not able to play because I didn't understand exactly how the controls worked, other than the fact that I was playing on an ultra-wide monitor (I don't know if that exactly has any negative influence). But then I came back here on your page and saw the video you produced. So I will base my assessment on what I can see in the video. Your game is very interesting, and unique. I liked the interpretation of the theme, and how it influenced the main mechanics. The graphics are simple but very functional, so this is a good thing. The sound is fun too. The experience in general seems to be good. And finally, if you allow me to suggest, I think you should think of some way to refine the controls, or else find some kind to elaborate a more "playable" tutorial or something like that (if you consider making this game something bigger, and I I hope you consider it because I see so much potential) I really found your idea very creative, and even though I was not able to play much, I found something very well designed (taking into account that we all had to race against time hahaha). Good job!

(Nu) Da Drum by Trexxak 2020-10-22T23:21:31Z

@trexxak, answering your quote about my comment: No problem buddy. Most importantly in a game jam, i imagine it is personal and professional growth in many ways. And from what I felt in your comment, I believe that you managed to achieve this growth, even more in a troubled moment as you yourself mentioned. I think that in complicated times, that's where we grew up the most, and I'm sure you are overcoming all of this, in an exceptional way. And your game is fun and creative at the same time. We all try to do our best in 72 hours, and I know you did your best too! I really want you to overcome the bad times, and continue on your journey as a game developer, providing beautiful moments for people, as was your game. :)

ps: I'm sorry if I somehow seemed rude in my comment. Writing in English is not my specialty hahah (I'm trying to improve on that hahaha). I will follow you here on the Ludum website, interested in seeing your new projects and games!

Wow, it's a very reflective, and creative game. I liked your interpretation of the theme, and the way you turned it into a game. I liked the graphics, although they are simple, they are functional and that is a good thing. Dialogues are very interesting, and the mechanics of cards and courage points are very interesting. Although I was not able to discover all 82 dialogues hahaha. Anyway, it was a very interesting experience. Congratulations.

Cool game. It is fun to kill zombies and build things haha, and the controls work well. The graphics are simple but functional. Grind by ChickenCastle 2020-10-27T12:35:05Z

A simple and fun game. Interpretation of the topic is quite interesting. I like the mechanics of running out of time to be able to do the tasks. The task indicator is very well done, although I believe it would be better viewed if it was not "blinking", but that is just a detail. I like the graphics and the sound too. The controls are simple and functional. The game experience is interesting. Congratulations.

A very interesting game. I like the platform elements, as well as all the mechanics involved. Time is also very well used. Level design is well produced, and it is rewarding to finish the levels. The graphics are simple and are only there to represent an idea, although I would say that the graphics are still functional and that is important. The sound is good too. Overall it is an interesting and good experience. Good job.

Ouroboros by JoeDev 2020-10-27T19:43:03Z

A very interesting game. I liked your interpretation of the theme, its implementation was very good. I really liked the graphics and the sound too. Demobius Derby by Alasdair Hitchen 2020-10-15T04:30:07Z

It's a fun game idea about destructive cars. I liked the graphics, the sound, and the whole ambience involved. I liked the shape of the tracks too. I just had trouble controlling the car using the keyboard (I didn't get to test it on the controller), unfortunately the commands were recognized in a delayed way, and sometimes they even stopped working completely. But I understand that sometimes these are adjustments that you will have to make over time. I believe you were able to deliver something interesting in 72 hours. Congratulations.

Overrun by GameDevMatt 2020-10-07T13:27:43Z

I enjoyed your game, the graphics are good and sound too. Anyway the experience in general is pleasant. Congratulations.

Assembly Loop by mjbelanic 2020-10-16T13:43:29Z

I liked the mechanics of your game. I see a lot of potential if you want to continue working on this project. It is very challenging and fun to try to assemble the robots by placing the pieces in the correct order. I believe that differentiating the pieces by colors, is something simple but very functional. Perhaps if you allow me to suggest, the speed of the treadmill could decrease as a way of rewarding the player, with each robot correctly assembled. In general you have created a different and interesting experience. Good job.

Very interesting game. I liked the mechanics of creating a "loop platform" to be able to climb in bigger places. The graphics are simple but functional, and the sound is ok. I just had a hard time understanding how I "finished the level", and accidentally ended up finding out, but I think I managed to enjoy all the experience that the game offered. Very good graphics of your game and all the ambience with a retro feel. I liked the experience in general. Maybe I thought it was a little short, although I have to admit that there's not much time for us to make long games on a Jam. My game is not very long either. Anyway, you did a great job. Congratulations.

Wow, your game is very creative and interesting. The main mechanics are an excellent interpretation of the theme. I really like the addition of time to each failure, as this seems very much a concept of dynamic difficulty (Can you tell me better if this was intentional or not hahaha). The graphics are beautiful, and the sound is very good. In general it is a very rich experience. Congratulations.

No-End-To by Veynam 2020-10-06T15:52:25Z

A very different and creative game. I like the mechanics of creating copies that mimic the player's previous movements. The graphics are good, and so is the music. The controls work perfectly, although sometimes I ended up confusing the skip button (w) with the loop button (space), but nothing that would hinder the experience in general. Good job.

Gold Mine And Infamy by yellowsalamander 2020-10-09T15:26:23Z

Game with interesting concept. I think of a complete version with more types of maps, it would be really cool. The experience in general was very pleasant, although I had a bug that literally caused me to get stuck on a certain part of the trail (I think the explosion of something caused this). In a way this bug ended up not being "bad", since it was easier for me to aim, but it certainly ended up breaking the mechanics a little. Anyway, your project is very good and promising. Congratulations

In general the experience of the game is very good. Congratulations.

Hey your game is really fun. It has the potential to be a bigger game if you wish. The graphics are well produced, as well as the music is good. I really liked the gameplay, it's fun to kill enemies with different types of weapons. Oh and the use of bombs reminded me very zelda. But this is just an observation, it was not something that ruined my experience. Congratulations for the game.

The Rim by jokerbomb 2021-04-30T05:34:46Z

A really cool game. I like the mood of the game, the experience is very serious and attractive. The whole text and story section is very beautiful and intriguing. The gameplay is reasonable, the first and second levels are very easy while the third is extremely more complicated, getting to be unbalanced, but nothing that gets in the way of the experience. In general it is a creative interpretation of the theme. Congratulations.

Enemy Lands by oillen 2021-05-17T17:30:14Z

A simple but interesting project. The gameplay based on a strategy involving 2 players has its positive points. The gameplay is very simple and easy to play. If you allow me to suggest, maybe you could refine the gameplay mainly the tutorial part so that the game is less confusing at first. But either way, it was an interesting job. Congratulations.

Deep Voice by mdotedot 2021-04-30T19:33:15Z

My God, let me breathe before giving feedback haha. Well, first of all, I think your game is very different from everything I tested here in this jam game haha I have to confess that I think it's very creative, and extremely simple to play (although sometimes I was out of breath because I used it a lot microphone haha). Although I think your interpretation of the topic is somewhat shallow, however different it may be. If I may suggest, perhaps you could use this creative gameplay of using the voice as the main mechanic with another aspect that is more insisive to the main theme. To be more clear, I am referring to the use of birds (perhaps you could use some other type of creature in another context to reinforce the idea of "deep"). However, it may be that I have not fully understood your interpretation of the topic, and if that is the case I apologize haha. But don't see this as a negative criticism, I think it's incredible your daring to try something using your voice (and what you did was good). Congratulations on the excellent and creative game!

Hello friend, I believe that your interpretation of the topic is quite interesting. I think that facing yourself can be something really deep. In general, the controls are good, I think the hookshot mechanics are well worked out. But I don't know if I was able to fully enjoy his game, since after defeating the "boss", I was left with no object. I even understand that this must have happened because of the gamejam deadline. So as a suggestion I think you could put a final screen or even credits (note: If there is a credits screen or something, I'm sorry I wasn't able to reach it haha). Anyway it was a very well done job, the graphics are good as well as the sound. Congratulations.

Descendants by AndideBob 2021-05-17T17:21:10Z

A good implementation of an idea. I liked the graphics, the sound and the overall ambience of the game. The controls are well done, although at first I was a little confused, but nothing that would hinder the experience. It is exciting to walk around the scene in search of challenges. A really well done job. Congratulations.

Fall Miner by MZA 2021-05-07T22:10:26Z

Quite interesting game. I like the graphics and the gameplay in general. The sound is cool too. The point that most caught my attention was the unique mechanics and creative interpretation of the theme. Congratulations.

In a Barrel by Oohoos 2021-05-04T18:49:43Z

I liked your game. The graphics are beautiful, especially the 3D model of each fish. The music is relaxing, and the gameplay of taking pictures of the animals (and with notes) is quite interesting. I managed to make a 10/10 almost all fish except the Eel, which manages 9/10. I tried in many ways I couldn't get a 10/10 picture of the eel. Anyway, I believe I was able to enjoy the experience of your game. I witnessed some bugs in the movement of the camera, and also to take pictures, but nothing that got in the way. Congratulations.

7 DEEPS by ardorugus 2021-05-18T15:25:13Z

A very reflective game I would say haha. I like the factor involving choices. I like the graphic content and the sound is ok. A different game with a good content of history and texts. Congratulations.

You played a very different game is interesting. It was a very creative interpretation of the theme. The gameplay is simple and functional, and the graphics are reasonable. It is good arcade game. Congratulations.

Hello, your game is interesting. I like his arcade factor. The graphics are simple but good. I really liked the sound. The controls are very easy to learn and very functional. In general it is a simple game with a legal proposal. Congratulations.

Below the Ocean by Ismael Rodriguez 2021-05-18T18:34:58Z

Wow what an amazing game! Right away I have to say that the level design of your game is practically perfect. In terms of mechanics it is probably the most different game from this game. The interpretation of the theme is very creative. Anyway, your game is extremely good. Congratulations.

[WebGL/HTML5] Who am I? by leorid 2021-05-18T19:03:10Z

A very fun game. I can say that it is one of the best in this gamejam. I like the graphics, the sound, and especially the gameplay. You have created excellent puzzle mechanics. Everything works very well. Congratulations.

Jaws of Earth by IceEye 2021-05-02T02:15:48Z

Interesting idea. I like the 3D model of the character and the ambience assets. There is interesting text content as well. The only point a little low that I think was a little shallow was the gameplay. But nothing that could hinder the experience of your game. It will be interesting to see this project evolve.

Mindy's Mind by VPhyre 2021-04-29T11:56:06Z

Hello @geckoo1337 thanks for the feedback! About 4Shared, I'm sorry for that haha when I did the first upload, I did it in a hurry and had completely forgotten about the site itch.io. Then, more calmly, I ended up dropping bug fixes over there. But thanks anyway for the suggestion!

Mindy's Mind by VPhyre 2021-05-04T00:43:08Z

Hi @bajtix, thanks for playing our game and for your feedback in general. I would like to comment a little on our vision behind "jumping over the enemy's head". As much as this mechanic is generally used in more classic games and with a lighter story, we imagine using this mechanic mainly to convey the message of "Use your problems to make bigger goals". In the case of Mindy, her "biggest goal" was simply to be able to resolve her insecurities and fears, and that's why we tried to find a way to fit this mechanics of the jump with this story we wanted to tell. In other words, we didn’t put it there just to put it, so much so that if you look, it’s not possible to defeat enemies, but just stun them. The idea behind this is to pass that many times we are not able to make our problems disappear, but rather we learn to live with them. Anyway, in the other points that you mentioned, we are aware of them. Limited time to develop the game and other problems during development may have been the cause of them. Anyway thank you very much for the review! We are reading all reviews here considering them so that we can grow as developers. Hugs!

Hello guys again!

I, @jesiahli, @marshal and @junior93 would like to thank you for your feedback. We want to thank you for taking the time to play our game. Every comment here that we receive is important. We are considering what each of you wrote to us here to improve. Criticism, suggestions, praise and any other type of comment. We really appreciate them all.

This game was an extreme learning experience for all of us, we had our difficulties, our moments of doubts, and uncertainties about which way we would guide the development of our game. And so we hope to have managed to send a message of hope with the story of Mindy, especially in this difficult time of pandemic for all of us.

Mindy simply represents each one of us. We have our fears, our faults, our defects and our "depths". And as difficult as it is to continue and move on, there is always a way to win (yes, that goes for the difficulty of the game too haha). And each one of us here at LudumDare is developing games that, regardless of the reason for each one, is in a way a victory. So I would also like to congratulate each one for the game made.

Our team will talk about continuing Mindy's story in a complete game or not. But regardless of what we decide, know that it was really worth having developed this game.

Finally, I would like to invite each of you to follow us here at LudumDare, in case you wanted to continue to follow our work closely. And if that's the case, let us know, as it will be a pleasure to follow you back. I think that this is a way of creating bonds and friendships.

Thanks again for the comments, and even LD49!

There's a monster under the bed by Tek 2021-05-18T01:11:47Z

I liked the interpretation of the theme. The game is interesting, there are some points in the gameplay that need to be refined, but when it comes to a game for a game, everything is fine. The graphics and the music made me feel like I was in a megadrive game! It was nostalgic haha. In general the game is legal. Congratulations.

Sheltered Deep by ThorPalsson 2021-05-17T18:07:37Z

Wow what a game! I like horror games and especially when there is a psychological theme behind it. Incluisve I think your game has a theme interpretation, somewhat similar to the game I made haha. The graphics are beautiful, and the mood is incredible. Gameplay is very easy to learn, and with little time you can already understand what you need to do. My only suggestion, if I may say, is about the door assets. I think you could use some kind of asset that would indicate the doors more clearly, since I was confused at the beginning of the game haha, but nothing that would hinder the experience. Really really good, congratulations.

A very well produced game! I like the mood of your game, it's an interesting space experience. It's really fun to try to look for targets to take pictures of them. The graphics are very well produced and the sound is good too. The gameplay is very easy to learn and that is a good thing. Congratulations.

Olá amigos brasileiros! Gostei bastante do jogo que vocês fizeram. Foi um interpretação do tema bem interessante. Gostei dos gráficos, toda parte visual é bem agradável. O som também é bom. A jogablidade é simples e divertida. Em geral eu achei uma experiência bem legal. Parabéns pelo feito!

Barochamber by Ourten 2021-05-03T04:04:02Z

Your game has well-designed graphics and a cool sound. I think the gameplay is simple and functional and that's a good thing. However, I don't know if I was able to enjoy the whole experience of the game. As much as I activated the 4 valves, I was unable to get off on another floor (if there is more than one floor). One time I tried it, I fell into a hole and died and the other time I just fell and the main menu was loaded. Anyway, I see that it was a well-produced game. Congratulations.

A jogablidade é um pouco complicada de se entender no começo, mas depois fica tudo mais natural. Foi um excelente trabalho! Parabéns e sucesso para vocês!

Deep Sea Mining by Ausstein 2021-05-17T19:01:46Z

What a fun game! I really liked the gameplay, the graphics, the sound, everything in general. It was one of the best games I played in this game. Excellent interpretation of the theme. I spent almost 1 hour playing, everything works very well in your game. It has a mechanic that encourages you to improve your submarine, to get more money, to mine. I really had a lot of fun with your game. For you to have an idea, I will literally mine everything in the game. I just wish the credits would show up in the game. I consider this as a form of achievement. A game only ends when only credits appear hahaha. But that did not spoil the experience, quite the contrary. I don't see any negative points in your game. Congratulations.

Eggsplosion by Gargantus 2021-04-30T05:48:26Z

Your interpretation of the theme is very creative. I like the visuals and the animations. The sound is quite pleasant too. As for gameplay, I think your idea is quite different and challenging, but I believe that some adjustments are necessary. I always like to see different and unique gameplay proposals like yours, so I don't see a problem when people try different things. But I don't know if I was able to fully enjoy the experience of your game, since I was a bad player, and I couldn't get out of the tutorial part, being honest with you. Anyway, if you allow me to suggest, maybe your game could have a scalable difficulty, not punishing the player so much in the beginning. But it is a bold game proposal anyway, and I would like to see that idea grow in the future. Congratulations for the game!

Puzzles of the Deep by Svetliaka92 2021-05-02T02:41:45Z

Fall by LostSense 2021-05-03T17:12:35Z

Well, your game is fun. It is an excellent interpretation of the theme. I liked the graphics and especially the music. The gameplay is quite simple and with a few seconds you can understand it completely. I played 3 times and unfortunately I was not able to get other finals, only the "1/3 final". If I may suggest, I would tell you to somehow create a shorter "level", or divide that level into smaller levels. Perhaps this would encourage the player to seek the other endings. Anyway, it's a good game! Congratulations!

Deep molatoes by leggy 2021-05-17T19:17:46Z

A very emotional and interesting game. I like the way you made the game. The graphics are simple but functional, as well as the sound. The text content is very interesting as well. In general for a game made in 48 hours by a single person, you can deliver a good game. Congratulations.

Obs: I really agree with what you commented on my game page. Our interpretations of the theme were similar hahaha. Just as you are following me here at ludum dare, I will be following you too. I wish you success!

Gosto do som, e especial a dublagem. Foi interessante ter a voz em português e o texto em inglês. O jogo entrega uma experiência bacana. Enfim, acredito que o jogo que eu fiz, tem uma "pegada" parecida com o jogo que vocês fizeram. Parabéns pelo trabalho!

I liked the idea that you implemented. The 3D graphics are interesting, as well as the sound too. I think the controls are ok, although at times they were inaccurate. I feel that in the end your project could deliver more things or different goals, although I recognize that the short time of a game jam always results in sacrifices in the game. In general I think it was an interesting experience. Congratulations.

Your game made me hungry haha. I found your game very fun, although I got a little confused with the controls, but then I got used to it. The graphics are beautiful, and the music is relaxing, I got to laugh in a few moments haha. The only point I didn't understand much was your interpretation of the theme (but I don't know if it was your intention to do something lighter and not follow the theme so strictly. Anyway ok). Good work!

Hexworld by icxon 2021-10-15T18:13:21Z

Wow what an awesome game. Unbelievable quality of your game!

The graphics are awesome. Everything was produced with great care and care. You can see how visually beautiful your game is through the small details.

The sound is the same as the graphics. Amazing. Both music and sound effects.

And the gameplay is just amazing. I confess that when I saw the "cover of your game" I was interested in playing just for the graphics, and I didn't expect such a good gameplay. I was completely wrong hahaha. Literally every gameplay is perfect, and it works great. A nice lesson on how to offer a good level design to the player. It is possible to learn to play without even reading any instructions or tips.

Still talking about gameplay, it's a lot of fun to think of strategies to make your kingdom grow. All gameplay elements fit together perfectly. The player must know the ideal time to conquer other realms while knowing how to deal with the lifetime of each platform. Very elegant!

It's possibly the most creative and well-crafted game I've played in this gamejam. It was an excellent interpretation of the theme. Congratulations!

PTSD Fishing by KuKuRammus 2021-10-08T01:46:08Z

Very relaxing game. And above all a good fishing game.

I liked the graphics, they are very well worked.

Sound is nice too. Helps keep the game's mood calm.

And the gameplay proposal is interesting.

Congratulations.

Unstable Concoction by theviraldragon 2021-10-05T16:00:01Z

Interesting theme interpretation. It's fun trying to figure out the recipes. The graphics are beautiful and the sound is cool. Gameplay is simple and functional.

If you'll allow me, I'll make a few remarks at points that I think you should consider improvements if you make future versions of this game:

- The sound was too loud. As pleasant as the music and ringtones were, the sound could be at a lower volume, or else you could put some kind of sound control (if this control exists, I ended up not finding it hahaha, so please disregard what I'm talking about .

- I think you should somehow indicate or give more tips regarding the recipes. As fun as it is to find out for yourself, there comes a point that the possibilities of ingredients are so many that the player may end up having problems managing it (again if this already exists, please also disregard it haha).

Finally I would like to congratulate you for making this good game, the overall experience is pleasant!

Puzzled Love by Yaroslav Kravtsov 2021-10-09T04:00:34Z

Wow, what a deep game!

The graphics are beautiful, and help to tell the whole story.

Sound is nice too. Helps keep the mood.

And the most important is the gameplay. It's not a simple puzzle, it's a narrative head I would say. You ride and wonder what's next for the couple.

I was a little sad because they apparently split up at the very end. I don't like sad endings hahahaha.

But it was an excellent game, an excellent interpretation of the theme. Congratulations.

StackItToSpace by Sarah 2021-10-08T17:00:08Z

Your game has a very different and creative proposal. It's probably a very unique interpretation of the theme. One of the most innovative games in this gamejam I would say.

The graphics are simple and beautiful. They work perfectly with the game's proposal.

Sound is ok. The music is a bit repetitive, but at the same time I think it fun, it also fits with the game.

Gameplay is the core of this game. It's a lot of fun to think about the possibilities of balance. It's interesting to look at the different items and see which ones might work best with the pile of stuff you're putting together to get you in line. Really very nice and fun.

My only suggestion, if you will allow me to say so, would be for you to put some simple instruction on how it works somewhere in your game. As intuitive as it is, it took me a while to understand that I had to do a pile of stuff to cross the line. Maybe the problem may be just me that I've been inattentive hahaha, but I comment because other users can go through the same situation.

But that's just a simple suggestion, the real value of your game doesn't change because of that.

In the end I really enjoyed your game, especially the execution of your interpretation of the theme in your project. Good job!

Unstable Equilibrium by baknik 2021-10-07T14:31:57Z

Possibly the best game I've played in this gamejam so far! I loved the main mechanics of controlling the physical property of some objects. It's a simple game, but with a fantastic concept.

The graphics are simple yet fully functional.

Sound is pretty good too.

And the controls are really nice.

His interpretation of the theme and execution were very creative.

I would love to see a bigger project on top of this project!

Congratulations on the game produced!

Okay, this game made me want to have a beer! haha.

The graphics are nice. All NPCs are cute, and the setting itself is very well produced. Really very good.

Sound is perfect! I liked the background music and the voices are just amazing. I laughed when I heard them hahaha.

Gameplay is simple and interesting. it's fun running around to deliver the beers while you analyze and wait for the best possible price. I had a lot of fun.

Overall it's a really fun game! Good job.

Ps: Now I'm going to have a beer!

Unstable escape by Tory 2021-10-13T06:03:52Z

An excellent game. The whole scene creates an incredible mood!

I really liked the graphics. This "pixel art 3D" style is something that fits well with the game's proposal.

The sound is quite nice, especially the music that helps keep the game's incredible mystery mood. One point of improvement I can suggest is that you just mute things a little bit by breaking especially the sound from the glass which was a little loud (I was wearing headphones).

The gameplay is interesting. It's nice to explore the scenery to try to find items, keys or even the right place to go. The action of destroying parts of the scenery makes the gameplay even more fun. And the controls themselves are very polished.

Finally, it was a great job!

My Ordinary Life by fabY 2021-10-06T04:12:47Z

A game with fantastic graphics. I wonder how you produced or obtained these graphics. Really very good.

The music is good too. Pleasant and quiet.

The gameplay is interesting too. The quest system makes the game fun once you ask yourself what to do.

If you allow me to say, my only observation in terms of corrections would be in particular the quest to rescue the dog. I don't know to what extent you planned to use the cubes as platforms, but I found it quite difficult to position them and perform the jumps correctly. Also, I believe the difficulty behind this particular quest was a bit disproportionate.

I understand that maybe you wanted to represent the "Unstable" theme across these platforms, and as much as it makes a lot of sense, I think you could simplify this part by having the player perform fewer jumps and box placements to achieve your goal.

Otherwise, I couldn't find out if I finished the game or not. I believe I have done all the quests available. But I fully understand that maybe it wasn't possible to produce an endgame screen, due to the short time of a gamejam. Also because your game has a very nice look and seems to me a very complete project.

So, congratulations! Good job!

Unfabled by Kwiper 2021-10-07T01:58:25Z

Very fun game. I really liked the graphics, I think the visual part of the spells is very well produced.

I also liked the sound and music in general, although I think the volume in general was too high. This hindered my experience a bit, but nothing that compromised the quality of the game in general.

In the end, I liked the magic and general mechanics of the game. Good job.

Red Flag (Le Temps des Tempêtes) by Achiru 2021-10-18T03:29:35Z

Very fun game. It was a very interesting interpretation of the theme.

The graphics are simple but nice.

The gameplay is really fun and refined. it's cool trying to load the shot and hit the right angle to destroy the enemy ship.

Overall it's a cool game! Congratulations.

Game with interesting concept. It's a different interpretation of the theme.

The graphics are nice, they match the game's proposal.

The different gameplay is the core of the game. I think it a bit complicated to understand how it works, but with a few minutes playing it's possible to get the hang of it.

Good job!

Congratulations on developing this game!

Interesting interpretation of the theme. I almost had a few heart attacks during the scares I got at the game hahaha.

The graphics are simple, but I believe they work with the game's proposal.

The sound is minimalist and very good. Helps set the game's horror mood.

The gameplay is interesting. it's nice to try to locate the lights as you run around the floor that will eventually disappear. This mechanism of disappearing pieces of the floor was an excellent interpretation of the theme. The possible scares that the ghost gives also help to keep the mood of the game.

Although I wasn't able to finish the game. I love horror and suspense games and would love to finish your game, but unfortunately I couldn't understand the ghost's behavior. Sometimes I just died without apparently having much to do.

If I may suggest, maybe you could add a little more "juiciness" to your game, or rather better audio-visual impacts to indicate when the ghost would arrive. Or maybe somewhere you could put some instructions on how to deal with the ghost.

But I recognize that the short time of a gamejam, can make our games lack some things. But no problem.

In general your game is very interesting, unique and creative. It was a very different interpretation of the theme. Liked it. Good job!

My Kid Is a Werewolf by fabioecco 2021-10-14T15:01:37Z

Cool game. I really liked the simplicity that your game has. It's pretty fun.

The graphics are simple yet functional. It's like a junction of Atari and NES games. Very nice.

The sound is interesting, the "8-bit ringtones" were very well used, as well as the background music very pleasant.

Gameplay is also simple and functional. It is very easy to understand what should be done, even because it is a simple objective. The gameplay is easy to understand, makes the game a lot of fun.

Overall, your game was interesting. Good job!

Devil's Sitter by VPhyre 2021-10-05T18:25:31Z

@jabsatz Thank you for the compliments. And to answer your question, we don't make the music, we take it from the websites that are in the game credits :)

Devil's Sitter by VPhyre 2021-10-07T22:40:22Z

@player-2 Thanks for the comments. Just to talk about your question, our initial idea was to have the same button to pick up and drop items (in this case the "E"), but we had some bugs related to this, oddly enough, and not to hinder our development even more , we used a quick fix that was to link the action of dropping items to another button, which in this case was the R (precisely because it was on the E side). The same situation occurred with the letter Q. Initially the idea was to use the same key to get up and down the chair, but again we had problems with that.

So within what we planned, we consider this solution the minimally viable solution for the game to continue working. So much so that we feel the need to leave the controls exposed at the bottom of the UI at all times, in a discreet way.

Although we agree with most of the points raised here, including your and other players' observation about the controls. Rest assured that we are considering everything in order to improve the game experience as much as possible.

Thanks again for the comments.

Devil's Sitter by VPhyre 2021-10-08T15:30:18Z

@human-writes-code thanks for the comment! And I'm sorry you didn't get to see the end. Really some people can end up having some kind of problems with the chair, although it's possible to get the way it works.

In a possible future update we will rethink the chair mechanics a little to improve the game experience.

But anyway very soon we will put a video with the full game here. So feel free to follow us here at Ludum Dare (let me know I'll follow you back) to be notified as soon as the video comes out, and that way you can watch it to get to see the end of the game (but also stay awhile will if you want to play again) :)

Devil's Sitter by VPhyre 2021-10-08T15:33:42Z

@aplegatt Hahaha it was lovely your comment! But to answer it, we still don't have kids haha. Although we all one day intend to have our "little devils" hahaha.

Devil's Sitter by VPhyre 2021-10-08T15:59:33Z

@fabula-rasa thanks for the comment. Responding specifically to your report about a possible bug with the baby's location, we tried to replicate this situation and when debugging we didn't find a real bug, but a situation that we had designed.

What might have happened is that the baby might have changed position while you were trying to locate him so that he might, for example, have appeared in some room moments after you checked to see if he was there.

This may give the impression that he was nowhere, but we can guarantee you that this "rogue" was in some room haha.

Another possibility could be that you didn't realize where baby was when he shows up in larger rooms. Since we strategically positioned it (especially in the larger rooms), so that it would be in the empty spaces of the room, where items will never spawn there. So that's why in the rush to locate items and even the baby, you may not have noticed him in some situations.

Anyway thanks for the report. Other players may end up having the same feeling, but oddly enough this was something planned. And yet we will continue investigating to find bugs in the game. :)

Devil's Sitter by VPhyre 2021-10-12T17:48:25Z

@dock-frankenstein thanks for the advice. That was a point that went unnoticed when we made the game. We made this fix in the V4 version of the game. Feel free to play it. We hope this can improve your gaming experience.

And for all those who still don't know, for the purpose of learning, I will try to explain briefly what I did. When importing the sprites (in case your game is made in pixel art), you must observe the Inspector of the sprites that you will use in your game, and find the filter mode option. Ideally, you change this option from "Bilinear" to "Point (no filter)". As it is in this image:

They need attention by Dock Frankenstein 2021-10-07T04:36:31Z

A game with an amazing mood. I like the horror/suspense factor of the game. I also like the gameplay of always looking at "entities", there was always something terrifying watching me hahaha.

Congratulations for the game!

LCD DREAM ESCALATOR by Hydezeke 2021-10-18T03:00:46Z

Wow what a trip! Haha.

The graphics are very different and beautiful. I can't explain it exactly, but I found everything visually pleasing. Everything seemed simple but very well produced at the same time. Perhaps the chosen artistic style fit perfectly with the purpose of the game.

Sound is very good. Nice music and sound effects.

Gameplay is simple. The idea behind it fits perfectly with the interpretation of the theme. it's nice to try to find the exit of the level.

In general it is a game with a very different and interesting concept. Good job!

Tetrawave by zinnin 2021-10-05T15:36:05Z

Very creative your interpretation of the theme. It's interesting to know that there are still many different ways to play tetris, and your game represents that.

Congratulations on your creativity, and on the production of the game!

Abraços e tudo de bom para vocês!

UnStable Reactor by honzapat 2021-10-08T23:20:38Z

An interesting concept. Finding where the error is sounds familiar, maybe programming? haha ha

The graphics are really nice, I like the 3D half pixel art feel.

Sound is pretty good too.

Gameplay is simple and functional. It took me a while to figure out what to do, but then everything was ok.

Good job!

Emily vs the Unstable Creatures by JPatchZ 2021-10-18T02:20:55Z

Ok, probably one of the best games in terms of graphics this gamejam! Simply amazing!

As I said before, the graphics are fantastic. The dialog images give incredible depth to the game, everything visually speaking works beautifully.

Sound is perfect. Optimal volume and incredibly nice music. Every sound or sound effect used contributes to the quality that the game has.

And gameplay is the key to the game. Just so much fun. The upgrade system works very well. it's fun to buy upgrades and then test them on the poor unstable monsters hahahaha. And it was really lovely that you turned the game into an arcade after the story ends. And speaking of story, there's excellent text content in the game, which helps give it even more depth. Really everything works perfect!

And about the interpretation of the theme, I think it was a nice interpretation.

Lastly, I would like to say that I spent several minutes playing and managed to get all the upgrades. I really want to see this project as something bigger and I hope you have success with it! Good job!

Wonky Brew by civmaniac 2021-10-08T05:59:34Z

Your game has a fun concept. It's nice to try to mix the recipes correctly.

The graphics are well produced, I liked the visuals in general.

The sound is fun, with nice music.

And the gameplay is fun too, although I had a little trouble understanding the order in which I was supposed to manipulate the recipe items. But nothing that got in the way of my experience.

Overall I thought it was a good game!

Among Monolyths by Dekajoo 2021-10-05T16:20:56Z

Your interpretation of the topic is quite different. I like the graphics, sound and gameplay in general. I had a bit of difficulty understanding the puzzles, but nothing that got in the way of my experience. A really good entry!

Pile Up Medieval by zimny11 2021-10-18T04:27:36Z

A very fun and creative game! A perfect interpretation of the theme.

The graphics are simple but very functional with the game's proposal.

Sound is very good. The songs calm and fight against the beast are very well used.

The gameplay is interesting. It took me a while to figure out exactly what I was supposed to do to defeat the beast. But after I understood and felt a sense of relief when I managed to defeat her.

If you allow me to suggest, maybe somewhere in your game you could put some explanation on what the player must do in order to protect his kingdom from the beast.

But overall it was an interesting game. A very creative and well executed interpretation of the theme. Good job!

Everything is Fine by Noire 2021-10-09T02:37:51Z

A deep game.

The look is just fantastic, you feel inserted into the game every moment in every scene. It really is a work of art.

Sound is perfect. Music and sound effects are of very good quality. The sound goes well with the graphics, and helps keep the game's incredible mood.

The gameplay is simple, but fully functional with the game's proposal. It helps to tell a story even without "many visible letters".

If you will allow me to suggest, perhaps the points of interaction could have some kind of prominence. I know this would perhaps "facilitate" a game that is purposefully easy. But maybe it could be that this improves even more the fantastic experience of the game.

Anyway, the interpretation of the theme was excellent. Generally I'm not a big fan of "interactive story" style games, but the game you guys made managed to please me because of the factors I described earlier.

Congratulations. Good job!

Contact Nesigur by Trexxak 2021-10-05T17:18:38Z

Hello again my friend! Glad to see you participating in this new game jam!

Talking a little about your game, I really liked the graphics. It really is a unique style. I find the zoom controls and especially the mechanics of the boxes interesting.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to reset your game as it closed by itself and for some reason I couldn't open it anymore hahaha.

But in general I think it's a good job!

Unstable Life by RobbzenOne 2021-10-13T16:40:16Z

A very interesting game proposal. I liked the mood your game has.

The graphics are very well produced, I believe they are the highlight of your game.

Sound is good too. Very well used.

Gameplay is ok. It's interesting to "run out of time" looking for items that are scattered around the scene. Just as it's fun trying to make a different ending. I liked that you took special care in making different endings.

If you will allow me, I would like to suggest an improvement. Talking about the items in the scenario, most of them are barely noticeable, so I think maybe you could make them bigger (especially the notes), or else with some visual indication that it's possible to pick them up. I understand that maybe the fact that the items are almost hidden is part of the proposal to look into all the details (especially minimal) in order to progress in the game, but I believe that some players may not be able to fully enjoy their game because of this detail . So I think that if you somehow manage to "improve the perception" of the items in the scenario, your game will get even better.

I also saw some bugs, which I think are normal in gamejam.

Finally, in terms of curiosity, I would like to ask you a few things about the game:

Is there any function for the "Dirty Sock" item? Is there any way to open the Bathdoor? How many endings does the game have? (I managed to do 3 different endings).

And to finish, I would like to say that the game you guys made is a good interpretation of the theme and I had a lot of fun with it. Good job

Unstable Life by RobbzenOne 2021-10-14T15:11:55Z

@robbzenone understandable your points. Really in a gamejam we have to make some sacrifices and cut some things out of our game.

Thanks for answering my questions about the game.

About your English, don't worry I believe everything is ok :)

I don't have the best English either, because I'm not a native of the English language. But, the most important thing we are already doing, which is trying to improve while practicing writing in English.

Let me ask you something else, what country are you from?

I'll be following you here at Ludum Dare to follow you more closely, and I invite you to follow me too if you want to observe my next projects :)

It sure is a unique game! Congratulations.

Hi man, how are you? Your game is very interesting. It's a different interpretation of the theme. The graphics are nice and the sound is simple but very good. There is good text content inside your game, that makes it more interesting. In addition, I think an excellent entry! Congratulations!

Boat History by etrealjunior 2021-10-08T02:06:27Z

Hello again. Your Game has a very innovative and unique proposal. It is certainly one of the best interpretations of the theme.

I liked the graphics, especially the water.

Sound is good too.

And the main thing is the gameplay, which, as I said before, is unique and well-designed.

I had a little trouble getting the hang of it, but then I was able to play. But unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to the end due to the high difficulty hahaha.

But no problem, the high difficulty doesn't erase the real value of your game.

Good job!

Contrary by Nekopi 2021-10-08T17:40:34Z

A very interesting game. The graphics are lovely. Very good visual universe that you created.

I liked the look of the characters and the enemies. The setting is very well done too. Visually it is one of the most beautiful and creative games in this gamejam.

The sound is pretty nice too.

Gameplay is ok. It's interesting the combat mechanics, involving the block. A point that I found subtle but very interesting is that the boss' HP decreases while you defeat enemies. This makes the player pay special attention to enemies, otherwise he would simply ignore them. In other words, you are rewarded for defeating enemies in a very creative way.

However I believe I have had my experience affected by bugs, especially collision bugs. As I said earlier it is possible to completely ignore enemies, and although I don't know to what extent this was intentional. But I think you could put some limitation when the player tries to get "inside enemies". Another bug I had problems with was the jump, sometimes the jump didn't work as expected, making me have to jump several times to pass a simple piece of platform. Finally I witnessed a bug when I fell into a hole "on the second level", since when I died, the game screen went black and I couldn't do anything. This happened every time I tried, and unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to the end of the game.

But I fully understand that in a gamejam bugs are normal. These points I raised are only intended to help you in some way.

Speaking a little more, I couldn't stop talking about the interpretation you had on the topic. It was a very creative interpretation and it sends an interesting message. Associating instability with adverse psychological situations was a very well thought out point.

In general I liked your game! Congratulations to all of you!

Blast Mine Catcher by 3amsoda 2021-10-07T02:36:11Z

Game with an interesting proposal. I liked the controls and the gameplay in general. It's nice to prevent the cave's stability from decreasing with platform elements, while the scenery gets distorted.

The graphics are nice and interesting. The sound is good, but I think it's at a very high volume, which I didn't like a little at times.

But in general I consider it an excellent job. Congratulations.

Ethereal Runner by jabsatz 2021-10-06T02:08:21Z

Last Breath by Pious 2021-10-05T13:43:32Z

What an excellent game! I really liked the artistic look of the game, the sounds are very good too. The gameplay is very interesting and creative, especially regarding the instability part.

It would be awesome to be able to play a complete RPG in space with this battle mechanic.

Congratulations!

Unstable World by Rayo 2021-10-08T15:18:36Z

The game has a very interesting proposal. I thought it was cool that the gameplay follows games like GTA and even Breath of the Wild.

The 3D graphics, textures and animations are interesting.

The sound is good, but I believe it could have a greater variety of songs.

And the gameplay is interesting. As I said before, I think it's cool that your game follows a pattern of controls like a GTA. However, I believe that I couldn't enjoy the full experience of your game, as I ended up having problems with bugs, especially when buying items. The first time I was attacked while buying the items and also the purchase menu didn't close, so my character died without my being able to do anything. On the second and third attempts, my character didn't actually die (since she kept walking even though I was in the purchase menu), but again I couldn't close the menu in question, forcing me to close the game.

I feel that I could have enjoyed your game more if these bugs didn't occur, although the feeling I get is that you've done a good job and that your project has potential.

Crash by Recessive 2021-10-05T18:22:17Z

Wow I lost track of time playing this game hahha It's a very fun and simple game. And it's a creative interpretation of the theme.

I would spend hours playing quietly. Congratulations for the game!

The Forgotten World by QueenOfSquiggles 2021-10-07T15:48:33Z

A very interesting prototype. I liked the influence that games like Undertale have on your project hahaha.

The graphics are nice, good old 8 bit pixel art.

The sound is also interesting, and if I may suggest I would tell you to just turn the volume down a little bit, or put some volume control on.

Controls are simple and functional.

When I finished playing your game, I got a little "want more" taste. I hope you take this game forward and turn it into something bigger.

Good job!

Finite Runner by Anthony Servedio 2021-10-08T16:38:46Z

I liked your game proposal. The mechanics of jumping platforms that seem to be randomly generated, while being careful with the red bar on top, is interesting.

The graphics are simple, but I think they work well with the game's proposal.

Sound helps to create an interesting mood. I liked the music. My only observation is above the volume of the sound, in case you allow me to suggest. Perhaps your game could have a sound with lower volume, or have a possibility for the player to control the volume within the game. Who plays with headphones (as was my case), the loud sound can interfere a little bit the experience, in my opinion.

And the gameplay is cool. Simple and functional. It's a lot of fun trying to improve your score. It's a game that you can easily spend a lot of time playing and having fun with. My only suggestion is just about the mechanics of the red bar. There comes a point in the game when you can no longer manage the control of the red bar, since you are very close to the bar that delimits the end of the scenario on the left. I couldn't find a strategy to overcome this and keep increasing my score after playing for a while. I think maybe you could generate some item for example after a certain time, which could reset the red bar, or just make the bar decrease a little bit.

But understand, these remarks I made don't detract from the real value of your game.

In the end I think your game is really fun. The simplicity that your game has, I liked a lot. Good job!

Unstable Memories by potkirland 2021-10-06T02:30:32Z

Game seems to be interesting. I liked the graphics and the music in general.

But I had some issues with gameplay. I don't know if I correctly understood the game's proposal, every time I should press CTRL or SPACE, I couldn't move the character anymore, I could just see a small circle in the background spinning, but I couldn't progress beyond that. I don't know if I understood exactly what I was supposed to do.

But understand, I'm not saying that your game is bad, but that maybe you could somehow put some kind of tutorial or even some explanation on how your game works. It can be here on the Ludum Dare page. If there is anything like that, please disregard what I said.

But I see potential in your game, it seemed like a creative and interesting project, thinking about the deadline of a few days to make a game, it seems like a good job. I just felt like I couldn't enjoy the experience your game possibly provides.

Anyway, good job!

Unstable Memories by potkirland 2021-10-06T02:36:17Z

Okay, I must recant here. I tried to play a few more times I understood that first I should press SPACE first to be able to "progress" in the game.

The concept of Orb control is very interesting. This time I was able to understand your game a little better.

I'm sorry if my previous comment sounded rude.

Super Stable Charger Robot by caudatecoder 2021-10-09T02:20:28Z

Very good game. The 3 main mechanics are very interesting.

The graphics are well produced, and match the game's proposal.

The sound is very good, both the music and the sound effects. Although I would like the volume to be a little lower, or have some control over the sound volume.

I also really liked the gameplay, the interpretation of the theme was very creative and well implemented. It was fun and even exciting to race against time using the two non-disabled mechanics.

A curiosity is that I for some reason for a few minutes believed that I should use my microphone (talking or making noise) to be able to access some functionality of the game hahaha.

Anyway, it was a good job!

Lemmini by aplegatt 2021-10-15T18:33:09Z

A very interesting game concept. It was a different interpretation of the theme.

Graphics are ok. Functional with the purpose of the game.

The sound really pleased me. Although it's simple, the guitar sounds (or bass I can't say haha), were very well produced and used. Totally aligned with the game's proposal.

The gameplay is simple yet interesting. It's very easy to learn how to play, in a few seconds you'll get the hang of it. The game is made fun by the ease of gameplay.

Although, if I may suggest it, I think the difficulty of your game could be higher, especially in the later levels. Maybe you could somehow force the player to use more than one wood in order to complete the levels. The wood could be more "unstable" or could even break if the character stayed on it for too long.

But overall it was an interesting game. For being your first participation in an LD you are to be congratulated! Good job!

Road To Home by as you like 101 2021-10-13T18:15:36Z

A very fun game! Your interpretation of the theme is very interesting. You took a different approach.

The graphics are functional, they match the game's proposal.

Sound is ok. A little loud the volume maybe.

And the gameplay is really fun, it's nice to control the drunk while I have to try to jump on different types of platforms. The "unstable" control has been implemented very well.

Overall it was a good game!

I can't remember by chesiq 2021-10-15T02:47:12Z

Very interesting game. I loved the mood of the game.

Graphics are very well produced. The visual aspect of your game is something very unique in this gamejam so far.

The sound is well produced and well used in your game. Every mood in the game is favored by the sound.

The gameplay is interesting. The fact of having to run and jump on platforms gives an interesting depth to the game.

His interpretation of the theme is very creative and sensitive. A nice approach.

If I may suggest it, I believe your game could have more clear instructions related to the game's objectives. I myself only understood what should be done after reading the spoilers you wrote on the Ludum Dare page. And yet I wasn't able to complete your game. But I understand that the limited time of a gamejam may have prevented you from crafting something like that.

Anyway, it was a very well produced game. Good job!

Lys by VPhyre 2022-10-19T19:39:36Z

Hi @fabula-rasa, thank you very much for the words! About Lys's level design, we had a lot of ideas during the conception of the game, but as always, being a gamejam, we ended up not being able to put everything we wanted into practice. The idea of redirecting light rays, and mixing colors, seemed simple in theory, but we realized that it would be something daring to do (in 3 days) in a way that made sense.

But yes, we agree that most of the levels are quite easy, and many players end up finishing without understanding the mechanics. We tried to find a balance between difficulty and fun, but because of the rush this balance was a little sacrificed I would say.

Anyway, we are taking into account everything that is being said here to improve as game developers. I am happy with this community interaction.

And about the connection between the universe of our games: Glad to ask that!

We like to "play" a bit with the idea of all our games here at LudumDare having some kind of connection. I believe this leaves open some story possibilities and even (why not?), the return of some characters in other games, in other LDs, with other themes. I think this is a way for the player to connect more easily with our games, because he might think "Hmm, I think I've seen this somewhere". Of course, this is not a rule, which will define whether a game is good or not (far from it). But it's something I find interesting to have around.

And answering briefly about the connections between the characters, I would say that they are very superficial connections (for now). Lys is Becky's sister (the baby sitter of the demon baby), and the "demon baby" is the son of Mindy (LD 48), and Sryni (LD 47). If you want to understand these connections a little better, take a look at this post: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/51/lys/$310630 (in this post there is another link to an older post that I had made during to LD49, explaining about these connections).

Yes, it's a pretty crazy universe! Hahaha

PS: Sorry for the long answer!

Interesting game concept. The graphics are very well done and the sound is perfect. The gameplay is good too. It's fun to gain new mechanics/spells that unlock passage through the stages. This game fits perfectly with the concepts of a metroidvania. It would be interesting to see this game become something bigger!

If I may say so, I believe I would just add checkpoints to your game. I don't think I was able to finish it because of that.

But overall it's a very nice game. Good job!

Stormlight Manor by RogueBrain 2022-10-19T16:06:56Z

Game with a lot of potential and extremely fun. It is one of the few games of this gamejam that tried to do something different in relation to the theme. The lightning every 10 seconds mechanic is just perfect. I really enjoyed this interpretation of the theme. The graphics are beautiful and the sound too. And the gameplay is solid. The mood that this game passes is incredible! I would love to see a commercial version of this game. Although I wasn't able to clear it because of a possible bug I found: In one of the last levels (I believe), my character died (turning a tombstone?), and I accidentally pressed ESC and for some reason the game continued (I managed to move the player's headstone), this ended up breaking the game (the reset functionality was no longer functional). Anyway, but I believe that I still managed to enjoy the game. Overall it was a good job! Bug.png

The graphics are interesting, and I would say that you have in your hands a good prototype of a differentiated memory game. Good job!

Wonder Woods by Sarah 2024-04-20T00:34:49Z

Very beautiful game! There is a lot of content implemented, and it is impressive. The graphics are beautiful, and the gameplay has a good level of solidity. In addition, there is good narrative content. It took me a little while to understand how things worked, but I managed to play. It's a very interesting result. Your game reminded me of the last ludum dare I participated in (LD52), whose theme was Harvest hahaha.

Good job!

Waves of Chess by frozenfire92 2024-04-20T03:46:08Z

A very fun game. It would be possible to spend hours playing, the game is so well made. The graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is very refined, the sound is minimal and good, in short, everything works wonderfully well in this game. Regarding the difficulty, I'm not a good chess person, but I feel like if I really played for hours, I wouldn't be defeated once. And in this case I must have played for almost 30 minutes hahaha. I'm not saying that this is a bad point, because I think that perhaps this was something planned (having an easy and accessible difficulty for everyone).

But well, excellent game!

Split-Decision by ColeSlaughter 2024-04-19T03:16:47Z

Dungeon Evoker by VPhyre 2024-04-18T20:34:07Z

@dmitry-mozgin Thanks for the question! By the way, excellent question! haha

So, we were in doubt about which keys to choose. We chose Z, X, C, N, M, thinking about using two hands, on the same "keyboard row". Especially because we believe that most people would not prefer to play "using one hand", even if this was possible using the V and B keys. Our idea, too, was to give a small space between the hands.

But it's a good question. I think that maybe in an ideal scenario, we could let the player choose which keys he would like to use, but for a gamejam (especially for our idea, and the way we implemented it), maybe we "lacked time" to design all the possible keys, to put on the in-game buttons (and also implement this). I know we could try other solutions like using a font and visually transforming the buttons into UI elements. But at the time of implementation we ended up opting for this first approach... Although in a future update, we can improve this. :)

But anyway, overall it looks like a good job!

Gods of the Forest by Dan Allison 2024-04-18T03:38:40Z

Wow this game is really good. I simply liked the mechanics, I liked the graphics, the music is cool too. An excellent gameplay. The idea of summoning with arrows is very original. Apart from that, the universe of your game is very original and different from most of the games in this Ludum Dare 55, and that is very good.

Perhaps some polishing points in the gameplay and level design would be necessary, but taking into account the tight time to develop your game, I thought everything you did was very good.

Congratulations!

Fashion Demon by Zoeluci 2024-04-17T04:26:57Z

Game with a very nice look. I really liked the game's parallax effect. The scenery and sound assets are well produced. The gameplay concept is really cool, it's fun trying to collect pieces of clothing while time runs out. I experienced some problems such as getting the character stuck on walls, or platform corners.

But overall, it was a good job!

Siela by Gnum_ 2024-04-19T02:56:42Z

A game with an excellent art style. The low poly models and all the lighting are fantastic. I really like the mood of the games. Sound helps with the entire ambience. The controls are good too. Everything works almost perfectly well. I only had one small problem when I ended up jumping into a well (I think) with orange rocks. I got stuck there and couldn't get out even by jumping and so I had to restart the game. But that wasn't something that hindered my experience.

Excellent job!

Faust by HellHound 2024-04-16T18:19:48Z

I liked the character switching mechanic. It's a creative mechanic that gives good possibilities in relation to gameplay. It was fun to think of solutions to get through different parts of the level.

I really liked the graphics, especially the parallax effect was very well done.

I witnessed each other bug, in particular a bug that made me walk through the wall with one of the characters. But I believe I managed to play the essence of your game.

Good job.
