Heya, weird request but could you reply to my comment so i get a notification? I'm not at home and REALLY want to play that once i get back. Thanks in advance!!!

theaidency 2020-10-05 11:48

@dominium11 sure!

julius-vander-arend 2020-10-05 13:45

As someone who is more of a 3D artist who dabbles in programing, visually ambitious 3D games are often what I like to pursue in gamejams, so its really cool to see other people making games as visually impressive as this. The atmosphere and graphics are quite impressive for something made in 48 hours. It would be really cool to see this developed more with the various tasks the player can perform influencing the progression of the game. overall, very good.

theaidency 2020-10-05 15:09

@julius-vander-arend Thanks! Yeah, there are plans to develop it into a full game eventually, hopefully with a real ending. Thanks again for your review!

dkdwrek 2020-10-05 16:35

This game has great graphics that perfectly fit the mood. The music is also a good fit. Nice job!

theaidency 2020-10-05 17:06

@dkdwrek Thanks! Mood was the first thing I worked on when I started devving this. It was hard to playtest and reiterate over and over. :P

krapht 2020-10-05 19:38

I wasn't able to determine if the game had any progression. Does the game progress into a story? If so I will go back in because I loved the mood.

droei 2020-10-05 20:14

Well I got the luck to play this game alongside with you! You did great on expressing your feelings throughout the story and I'm looking forward to see this story unfold if you want to roll with the idea! :)

theaidency 2020-10-06 00:31

@krapht No. Not in this one, the very least. It's to signify the drag that life can be sometimes. That being said, work has already started on making it into a full game with progression!

virtual-turtle-studio 2020-10-08 09:31

Very mood-heavy game for sure, you guys did really well on that part! It's an interesting look into the life of a shut-in, and the way they think. I didn't really find any 'end' to this game, but I guess that's the whole point, going for the 'stuck in a loop' theme, right? It would have been cool if there were a few more interactions around the place, or some more story to go through, but I get that you only have so much time during a jam, and a lot of your time probably went into the art and stuff. Good job guys :)

theaidency 2020-10-10 23:11

@virtual-turtle-studio Thanks, and sorry for the late reply! I decided to go all-in on mood in this one, pouring out pretty much all that I'd been going through for a good part of my life. I'm glad I'm in a better place now. :)

blue05 2020-10-10 23:26

The graphics and audio fit very well with the game. It sets a really strong mood, and the story is well-developed. Really well done.

theaidency 2020-10-10 23:36

@Blue05 thanks!

cargamoni 2020-10-11 01:34

Its good atmosphere, thanks for the game ! Please rate our game too !

mvasko2 2020-10-11 13:24

Excellent graphics, audio and mood, one of the best I've encountered on this LD.

I would love to see an extended version of this, with more actions to do and a more elaborate story with multiple endings. This is an important topic to explore.

Great job!

theaidency 2020-10-11 22:48

@mvasko2 I've started work on a post-jam, full release of the game!

ditam 2020-10-12 15:35

A beautiful game, congratulations! Feels like one of the most inspired and complete entries I've seen this event. The grayscale visuals really fit the theme. Looking forward to the post-jam version!

Albeit a bit more superficially, my game explores a similar topic, with a similar text-narration mechanic. I couldn't help but smile as I read your warning to "play the game slowly, doing one thing at a time, waiting for each text box to end", as I've struggled with the same technical issue :) So that already piqued my interest, but then I became intrigued upon seeing that atmospheric screenshot, and I'm very glad I didn't pass on trying this game.

jose-bonilla 2020-10-15 03:59

Beautiful game, about a very serious issue. By far the most visually appealing game I've played in the jam so far. Kudos! I found the music level too low and the sounds level too high, but otherwise great job! Obviosuly more story would have been amazing.

vphyre 2020-10-16 14:45

Very interesting game. It gets into a very important topic as well, which is mental health. I really liked the graphics and the sound. The game's dark atmosphere is very attractive. I would love to see a finalized, extended and complete version of this game. Good job.

theaidency 2020-10-17 06:31

@vphyre @jose-bonilla Thanks a lot!

gord10ahmet 2020-10-26 01:39

I really liked it! It reflects how depression feels like.

Though, I didn't hear any music, I would think the game had no music if I didn't read the comments.

It kind of reminds me of an old psychological horror game I made, "Self". It was about a man who built an underground jail for himself and harmed himself. He was trying to get out just because he wasn't sent food anymore. I can leave its link if it interests you.

theaidency 2020-10-26 17:19

@gord10ahmet Thanks! Yeah the music levels were definitely messed up. I'd love to play your game!
