Very fun for a the first 10 or so levels but it got samey very fast. Not sure how it connects to the theme though.
Was a fun little game. I think it needs a little more to tell me if I was doing good or bad. I imagine I was doing good but it was hard to tell.
Love the idea of a Micro RTS. I would love to see it more finished and possibly multiplayer
Very Cute, Very fun. The jump sound got a little old but not to bad. Wish it would save at each portal. Some of the later jumps were difficult for me and starting over from scratch was a pain.
sometimes a plug wouldn't go into a socket even when a different color was possible. Not sure if that was intended
I enjoyed the 5 minutes i played for. Not sure it fit the theme though. Maybe run the game in revers order. The levels get smaller and more difficult, requiring more fineness in your movement. The last level could require pixel perfect movement to get to a flag that you can see from the spawn point .
That was tough. I wasn't able to beat it:{. I'm not cut out to be a teacher.
Honestly, I just wish there were more levels. You did a great job at making shapes become walls because you need them later. Loved it!
The mechanics fun, though it would be cool if the bullets would stay in orbit a little longer. I did figure out that you can jump indefinitely. I loved the art style. It was strange and pulled off very well. Gave the game some serious unique points. The firing effect might be a little much, though that might be y personal taste. I'm never a fan of when the character becomes difficult to see on screen even for only a second.
You got a Laugh and a Cringe out of me. The punishment for failure made me hurt hahah.
It felt a little sluggish. Not sure if intended or glitch but there was one time where I was reduced to an absolute craw until I picked up health, then I was moving normal speed again. I suspect Bug because it never happened again.
@hakro More frames is defiantly something I would want to spend more time on. I'm also still not sure about the balance. It seemed OK when playing against my wife, but I'm mainly afraid it will be like Tic Tac Toe where there is only one valid play and response.
@zachw136 I had the same issue trying to develop it. Trying to play each side to win is hard.

@foomar I agree that cupcakes has to much advantage. It also sucks that the first move doesn't really have a choice. I think a map rework might help. Maybe expand to a larger map, or even just removing the bottom position.

having space be attack felt off for me because i am use to space being jump. I also felt cheated by enemies falling on my head and instantly dealing damage. Loved the art and music!
I'm not going to rate yet because I'm not sure what it is I am suppose to be doing. On very very first level I am unable to find where to go to to be safe. It just ends with the map getting to small to be in.
Thanks for getting back and letting me know i needed to full screen. Great use of the theme and I loved the mazes. I however wasn't a huge fan of just how strong the screen effects got after you died twice. I found myself just restarting after my second death. I also feel like you might have square colliders on your round enemies and the colliders might be a pixel to big. Or maybe I'm just bad at playing video games and I need to blame it on something :P Over all very fun.
@johnyf I had a death that seemed to me to be a little unfair so I started testing how close I could be before the ball killed me. after letting them kill me a half dozen times I started to get the general shape of what the colliders looked like.
I'm not smart enough. I got the fire out, got the keycard, and found the thing on the wall. I wasn't able to pick it up though. Figured I had to put eggs down where it looked like there were spots for them, but i couldn't figure that out.
That was a lot harder for me then i had hoped. I probably got 1 wrong for ever 2 i got right. Fun and I love the art style.
@bichodust I didn't want you to take away that it was to hard. It is a vary fair game. I was just making light of the fact that I am bad at games.
I found the best way to play wasn't to slowly drag to the right but to quickly go 100% to the right and then quickly back to the left. Was able to get a single bullet every time. I'm not a huge fan of luck based games but I like that some semblance of skill was added.
Loved the graphics and game play. Audio started out really good but i had to turn it way down the longer i played.
Loved it. I did find it a bit to slow at times when I'm trying to find the last couple enemies.
skipping cut scenes would be nice for a second play through. Also I wanted to hit spacebar when "retry" was prompted. would have been nice for that to work.
Over all one of the better Jam games I have played. Well done, I hope you all do well. Might think about turning this into the real money making deal.

the combat was a little to clunky for my taste. Running around the enemies was the only valid option.
I felt it should have scaled in difficulty a little more. I'm ok with the waves just repeating but maybe have the health of the enemies increase with each wave.
the banana peel reads "Roll not less then 7" but rolling less then 7 is what saves you. Rolling higher then 7 gets you bit by a shark.
man that game is hard! It's a 2d dark souls. The run up to the first enemy was a bit long and i had to do it 50+ times.

@pseudobytes It seems I executed that poorly. My intent in letting the player leave the camera space was to try and recreate how easily it is to feel/get lost or off track when trying to break an addiction. I wanted to force the player to keep themselves where they needed. Sadly more often then not players feel it was a glitch in the game so clearly I have done something wrong. I had at one point in development where the player took massive damage if they went outside the screen space but felt it was overly punishing and would be difficult to understand at what point you take damage vs being safe.
@rocketraccoons @nitropictures Thanks! Lack of animation is purely my lack of time management. That and sound. Had I managed my time better I would have gotten those in.
the you are dead screen lasts way to long. Made it annoying to play more then once. Overall amazing game. Thank you.

fun little game. I disliked that the character would stop moving if the cursor hit a box. It made it really hard to get some coins.
full screening the game results in fatal error. Game does not show any kind of win when you finish. Getting to "C" in order to dash when holding "D" to go left is to difficult. I would suggest mapping dash to space bar.
Very well done game. Only down side to the gameplay I could see was how you could end up getting stunlocked but it only happened twice so it wasn't enough to make me stop playing. Controls were intuative and the game did a great job of helping me figure out what I was suppose to do without throwing a ton of text at me. Story wise something to say the baby will be ok would have been nice but it's something I can get over.
Well done. Great game design. I love how Even as the field got crowed I always new there was a bad guy when they showed up. The bright colors look amazing. I played with the filter on but loved that it was an option to turn off. I did end up crashing my game by saving up a but load of collectables and dorping them all on one video. It started generating so many large icons that the game sent to 1 frame a second.
cute game felt suppr polished and loved the art. It did take me a little while to figure out I could attack the nut crackers. Before that it felt bland.
Was there an ending? I killed all the octos, stood on their ruin, and had a bunch of glowing deer but the game just kinda kept going. Art and sounds was awesome.
how you going to make me cry at 7 in the morning? I got my whole work day ahead of me. Great game.
a small note is at times early on in the game I thought I was being pushed to explore. An a example would be when you get out of bed after visiting the vet. I saw the note saying "wait till morning" but thought it was being hinted that I should go outside. Ended up walking all the way back to the vet with nothing happening. Some barriers to keep the player where you want them might help.
love the concept but controlling where the pieces land is a bit rough. At times I would be trying to place a piece in an open field of white and for whatever reason it would just tell me I couldn't.

A little hard to avoid the big 360 degree attack with how fast the player character moves. Though balance wise it looks like you can eat every one of them and still win.
I think I'm with everyone else here that I'm not sure what exactly what is happening when I do things.
having the bouncing pads stay on after each round seemed wrong.
a way to exit out of the game without Alt+f4 would have been nice but I guess I would have been less stuck that way. Way to meta.
i was a looper the whole time!!!! the first level where you have to jump on your clones head could have been a little lower. I felt like I did everything correct several times but yet never got the height to get over. Then randomly it seemed like my character jumped an extra body height and im not sure why.
great job. If you are going to expand on this game I would personally like to see fewer sub 3 second timers that you just spam. I'd rather see longer timers where you have to be risky about where you go because you wont be able to hit the hour glass.
I feel more could have been added with the seasons. Some kind of gameplay change based on what season you were currently in.
I got all the postions and then about 10 seconds later the whole game restarted. Was that a glitch or was that they win? I assumed I needed to make it back to the start to make the antidote.
wish there was a little more control with shooting. I wasn't a fan of how easily it is to hit yourself and not really knowing why that happens.
I wasn't able to determine if the game had any progression. Does the game progress into a story? If so I will go back in because I loved the mood.
That was quite the adventure. Grabing the teeth was a bit glitchy. Not sure what I was doing to trigger it but going to a latch on point and hitting F would not bring up the action bar. One of my favorites so far.
Phase 3 was to hard for me hahaha. Nice Gam though.I felt with phase 1 and 2 I was able to come up with a strat to defeat it every time, but phase 3 was a little to dark souls for me and I'm not skilled enough for that.
the first game was a bit tough because I didn't know the map. After I got a feel for i though I really enjoyed this one. a Mini map of some kind, even if it doesnt mark where anything is, would help to learn the map on those first few games.

"Honey I'm going to be late, I can't find the exit to the stupid round about" this is how my childhood friends taught me to hate round abouts before I was even old enough to understand how driving worked.
I think a little more art would have been nice. Add a road texture to the the ring and turn the cubs into other cars.
I see that you removed the music but I think maybe replacing it with something less annoying would have been the answer. The disco art didnt match the metronome.
I cheesed through to the end of level 4 by just having the marines look at eachother and then throw gernades. Even if I didnt cheese there is no way i can imagine myself getting through level 4. Great concept. I'd probably prefer if the marines could turn just a little faster. The slowness is what cause me to give up trying and just have them aim at eachother.
loved the atmosphere but everything was to slow and to big. Felt like i was wondering around a giant maze with only goal of being "fix air supply" but no clues of how to do it. I wondered around the maze for solid 10 mins and just quit.
Nice to see a different take on the type of games we saw this game jam.
Loved it! might have been nice to have a little more explanation within the game about finding the cyphers and returning to the base level to type in the code.
great little puzzel game. I could def see this expanded on and turned into a full game.
Loved the 3D/2D blend of the game, voice lines got a chuckle out of me, and the shotgun felt really nice. I wish there were more chances to use it. Great game.
This game has the ability to be such a wonderful peaceful experinces, if I wasn't so trash at games.
Great controls thought jumping and up attack feels a bit like trying to play a guitar. Wish there was some kind of purpose to why I, the greatest ninja in the land, am going into a cave and killing innocent non combative demons. Sure we ninjas are paid to not ask questions, but for the game a little hint to a story would be nice.
damn I love the art. I'm a slow reader so liking and disliking at the speed of the tweets was the hardest part for me to get use to. I started just scanning for possitive or negative words, which still had me failing some but had more greens then reds. Great use of the theme and great execution.
My only request would be to have running into a broken machine with a wrench auto repair it instead of forcing a throw that will probably end up throwing the wrench over the machine.
good change up to the inf jump up genre. Might increase the scale of difficulty faster as the first part kinda drags before things start to feel more intresting.
There were a few hicups during gameplay but thats probably because i played the webGL verison. Great game, well done.
feels like the audio might be a little off. Also you can edit the size of the itch.io game area to better fit your game.
Would be a nice relaxing game if it had some chill music in the background.
the deadly pen was so much more powerful then the clipboard. Might need some way to balance out the two attacks to help mix things up. Thanks for the game!
The digging sound came accross really annoying to me which ruined the "chill out" vibe the rest of the game offered.

Loved the concept that your art (in this case music) is your life and your enemies are those that wish to put you down.
amazing little puzzel game. Getting stuck and having to hit restart level felt a little strange. I prefered the puzzels that if you messed up it just ment going back through the cycle. Favorite game so far.
good controls. Never once felt like the game wasnt leting me do what i wanted. After dieing the "new game" restarts the game with a black screen. Audio confirms the game is running. There is also a location where it appears to me to be impossible to get out of.
Spent all last summer fighting a mole in my yard. It brings me great joy to smash these digital ones.

It would appear the bottom floor of the second screen did not have collison. I would also suggest to limit the game size window to something like 960x720 then tell itch to put a full screen button in your game. These options are avaible in "edit game" under the "embed options" group.
My mom is in this game and i dont like it. At times the boomarang would hit wracks when i dont think it should have. I paniced when the wasps showed up with only ment more wasps which made me panic more which you guessed it, more wasps. That was a fun level.
