LD24 — Evolution

Shit! It's evolving by fruitfly 2012-08-28T15:05:00

Very retro feel. Best feature I think is the shooting stars in the sky and the lighting on the walls when you shoot. I can't get past the second or third blob without dying, not having strafe controls is too retro for me. Blob animation is also good as its clear if you hit it.

TOWER of Evolution by SiENcE 2012-08-28T15:15:00

Not sure what it was the dying sound or the hidden spikes but it made me jump the first time I died. You died a lot on this game but the checkpoints meant it wasn't too painful. The sprites were nice some were definitely references to characters. I think the graphics were okay, just highly stylised.

Invaders: Evolution by vilya 2012-09-06T19:19:00

Great idea to add a story to space invaders! I see that unlike the original the games speed wasn't limited by the processor speed (lucky or the aliens will reach the bottom in moments with modern computers!) Anyway the green aliens added a real challenge, and I felt bad if I hit them. Spawn is buggy, and I lost during a cut-scene where I couldn't shoot which felt a bit unfair :'(

Dawn of Dimension by jplur 2012-09-06T18:17:00

Startling mix of different zones, some have been lovingly created, others less so. What would be nice would be the ability to peak into the next zone to see if its blank or not. All too often I am randomly falling through empty space. Great intro, good music and I like the classical Greek feel helps evoke the feeling of a fresh new world.

You ARE the RAIN by alvivar 2012-08-30T13:14:00

The music sets the mood perfectly. It was quite a freaky game. One possible bug is that my laser eyes did no damage only by right click to make tears could I hurt the enemies.

My Pairs and Me by Evilion 2012-09-07T14:54:00

Well that was very strange...

Terra Tam: The World Warrior by L 2012-09-05T18:44:00

Fun little game with great humour. The artwork was great and the aliens suitably weird and exotic. Some music and fx would have improved the atmosphere a bit.

The Darkness Evolve!! by juaxix 2012-08-28T20:37:00

Worked smoothly for me, completed the two levels. The difficulty was more down to finding the dark boxes in shadows rather than the camera issues some other people have had. I only had one camera problem at the start of the second level which fixed itself as I moved.

Ages of Irving by Deconstructeam 2012-08-30T12:00:00

The game is very different. Writing all the lines and then putting in the logic for them must have been challenging. I find the game is a real challenge.

Locked Away by localcoder 2012-09-06T12:45:00

Amazingly fun puzzle game. They way you are searching the logs and the transaction details you do feel like a detective in an old vision of what the future would be like. What I really like is how the 3 cases which at first appear separate are actually all linked.

Please write some more cases!

Tiny Evolution Adventure by AdventureIslands 2012-09-06T20:01:00

Great graphics, feels nicely polish and the game is tricky but not impossible. What I don't like is that some of the leafs weren't solid and trying to jump on them would lead you to fall to your death.

Mighty-chondria by JonathanG 2012-09-09T19:59:00

Great game, the location in the veins with all the blood cells and bacteria is fascinating, more games need created like this!

EvolutionWar by Spouwny 2012-08-28T10:27:00

Once you understand what the genome columns are they are a really good feature. You can see your populations current gene and what the next one will be from any genes you've selected from the pool. This makes it quite innovative for a RTS and fits the competition theme really well.

What I didn't notice at first was the more positive traits you at the more a unit costs and I ran out of money and then the workers died and I was stuck. The game is very quick, though if you want to build up your workers make sure you have enough spare money to send a wave or two or fighters to stop incoming waves or you will lose very quickly.

The game is a fun little death match, though I'm not sure if the game lasts long enough for you to modify your units too much. What would be cool if you could write a 2-player version.

Its a shame you don't have much in the way of graphics, audio or humour so I can't rate those categories more than 1, but the game rates well in all the other areas.

One fix I'd like would be able to remove units from the queue.

Cosmogonie by Spotline 2012-08-30T14:31:00

Beautiful experience and well worth the second play through, the first time only the one tree grew but the second many did :)

Although some people complain that this isn't a game, I am glad that not all people are constrained by what a game is or we wouldn't have this amazing art game! (There is no category rating game like elements and this whatever it is rates highly in Innovation, Fun, Theme, Graphics, Audio and Mood.) Innovation is as much about what elements we can remove as we can put in.

Happy Vegan Birthday by Huitre 2012-09-09T17:54:00

Pretty but buggy, couldn't get the breakfast to work and the character would walk through the fridge door! Path-finding is a little basic as well. Though fun game I just wish I could finish it!

Hunt'em! by Zamando 2012-09-05T19:54:00

Fun game, great graphics which makes the world look really pretty, somehow I managed to win first time.

I'd suggest changing the game mechanic so that you are hunting and being hunted at the same time with all the types of creatures in the world simultaneously, with them hunting each other as well that would be awesome.

FOR THE darWIN by TravisChen 2012-09-09T19:28:00

Fun little game, can see how the num pad would be really useful, but trying to work out the link between the normal number keys and the grid was tricky. If you added to ability to click the boxes instead to sequence the fossils that would be really helpful for keyboards without num pads.

Still if that is the only criticism I can find that means that everything else was all pretty amazing!

Evolution Defense by franklyn 2012-09-05T20:53:00

Fun little game, the upgrades were quite tactical "well I've upgraded my wall on the right, but the one of the left is taking a pounding so lets give them a gun". Got more fun as you started maxing out your upgrades.

Crystal of evolution by rianoto 2012-09-06T11:33:00

The buttons and crystal look good, then the colour change to the background to show damage is really good. An alternative way of displaying text would be much better than pop-up boxes(The only pop-ups my game makes is if you win or lose, and that was because I was in a rush at the end). What I did and suggest you should do is add an html paragraph and use the DOM to modify its contents to display the most recent message there.

Super Robocade by VoEC 2012-09-05T20:41:00

I like the remake of the super mario bros. map and the old gameboy style graphics are cool.

Where am I? by AgentParsec 2012-09-09T19:39:00

Freeky, the walking sounds like an ominous ticking clock, the increasing fuzz makes it harder and harder to see. The moving shadows and the corridors that changed were unnerving. Even though I could guess the end it still gave me a jump! Audio works great and the mood is good. Some of the textures could be improved a little but otherwise great!

Bitolution Love by tronster 2012-08-28T10:11:00

Its a nice concept, but until you reach 8 bit you don't really know what's going on. Its also not clear when the game ends, I'm stuck on 16-bit if you find the girl nothing happens and if you go down from the houses you get stuck in endless loop land. The poor path-finding makes it infuriating to click and nothing happen other than booping sound.

The theme was a good interpretation of evolution and the innovation for improving the graphics was good even if the 16-bit graphics weren't the most pretty.

Cubevo by NostraDamon 2012-08-28T15:43:00

Nice original idea, I made it to about 40% before getting bored of growing trees and trying to navigate through the mazes, nothing more infuriating than seeing a gem you can't reach! I can't seem to hear any music ( I'm using Chrome) only sound fx which are good. It would be a relaxing game apart from the limited supply of gems, which is an interesting element as you need a strategy, how to get the most gems from spending the least.

Evolution of the Flying Pinatas by Zelen3d 2012-09-05T19:10:00

I liked the fly movement it looked natural. The story behind it is humorous but I think it would have improved things if you gave it some Mexican themed music and added a victory screen if you win.

Darwin's Journey by TinyHat 2012-08-28T22:29:00

Nice animation, and lighting the fire was quite cool. Yeah the monkey still died with Chrome.

LimiT by Sakuyan 2012-08-28T20:09:00

Amazing graphics, the landscape is stunning. I also like how your field of view improve and your jumping ability with each stage.

Oculus Battalion by Maxium 2012-08-28T15:54:00

An eye with a top hat how marvellous! The game is quick and fun, if a bit hectic my minions seem to be doing more work than me by the end, all I do is run around finding them the bones. Firing the laser beam feels satisfying, and was surprised to find that you could jump with the space bar!

evolution of monsters by mohammad 2012-09-06T18:42:00

Hey this is just a comment and not a review (I'm only playing web games). Reading all the comments I would just like to say keep up the game development I wish I had started making them sooner. But as well as that work hard at school, it might not seem relevant right now but you need to do well to attend College and University. Once you get there you have a lot more choice about what you study, things like Maths, Science, and Computing as well as English and History (if you want a story that doesn't suck) are all subjects you need to know if you want to make good games :) Your parents at least appreciate education is important and it's a shame they aren't supportive of your hobby.

One last thing, calm down a bit you are posting a huge number of comments all over the website, then DON'T USE UPPERCASE ALL THE TIME IN EVERY COMMENT (as people read it as if you were shouting), don't get provoked into arguments, keep making games, keep learning, oh and P.S. challenge yourself write something in flash or java script, sure it's harder but the challenge is good for you and will make you a better programmer, give you more control over design and get your game out to much more people.

The Last Creationist by ubear 2012-08-28T22:24:00

A very very silly game, was fun to complete. The battle pigeons look more like planes but that just adds to the madness.

DNA by KEFIR 2012-08-28T17:12:00

More than just a flying fish, a flying, walking swimming fish! Great fun, the ducks and frogs are quite fun. I don't know if it was a glich or not but I saw a jellyfish flying with some birds (maybe the fish isn't the only one stealing DNA?)

Mutate Now! by goerp 2012-09-05T19:03:00

Nice cartoon animation and great humour both endings are quite funny. Movement felt a bit clunky but otherwise good.

Sorry, i was late! by infernet89 2012-09-06T19:44:00

Hah, mousetraps very funny. Its a quirky little puzzle game and I like how it builds up one extra bit at the time. I think the logic for your safe is a bit busted. I had 3 right numbers in the right place and one right number in the wrong place, so I think it was counting the same number twice.

OS: Evolution by zatyka 2012-09-05T21:03:00

Its a good game but a difficult one, for a moment I was excited to get the flame-thrower booster jump but then the jumps got even harder :( Nice animation, sound effects and its a shame I couldn't see more of the story.

Yellow Dog by Barry Abrams 2012-09-05T20:33:00

Great little pet simulator, felt a bit like a mix between catz and the sims with a heap of pixel art style.

Gr0wth by Colisan 2012-08-30T14:48:00

Some of the mini-games were challenging. Nice little story the game told. For the web version I didn't get any audio and there was a bug for the walking stage where the person is off the bottom of the screen.

Cellvolution by thewiseguy99 2012-09-05T19:18:00

Nice simple game rules, the warning that you are about to change colour is good, same goes for the invulnerability time after you are hurt, and the upgrades are nice.

Defense Of The Space Station Guardian by TheRealJefe 2012-09-05T20:23:00

Nice concept and I like the helper models and how they roll around, the fact they can be a bit stupid doesn't matter as they are robots. I like how the physics means they can push away the asteroids but the game has a lot of bugs (negative funds, values not rounding properly, enemies can't hurt the station) but if you start polishing the game it could be really good.

An Infection's Journey by Solarhippo 2012-08-30T13:40:00

Nice graphics, sound and concept. Only problem was you died a lot and often unexpectedly with no explanation why.

Geomelution by Sh1rogane 2012-08-28T20:54:00

Sounds like some had been reading flatland. Its a fun shooter, easy to die, but that makes when you do well all the better. It reminds me most (unsurpisingly) of geometry wars, but the upgrade goal of the shape is quite humourous and the powerup features are nice. I liked spining around as the line as you were hard to hit side on (so can't see why he'd want to be a circle anyway, prehaps being a line has the same stygma as in flatlands).

Cuboid Sandbox by cominu 2012-09-09T19:12:00

Beautiful, the glowing trails are good, and the mini-map looks as alive as the world itself! In theme it is similar to my own game but very different in execution. Some of the events are really interesting, a group of creatures exhaust their food, and are forced to go on a risky migration through a forest of other coloured food. I love games where from simple rules some complex behaviour can emerge :)

Adventurers Evolution by Thurig 2012-08-30T15:17:00

Generations concept is fun, it would be nice little touch if the guy had his mothers hair colour. Movement is a little slow and if you could get zombies to move that would also be great.

Human Fatality by MrHalfman 2012-08-30T13:08:00

The game is approaching the "I wanna to be the guy" difficultly especially with the (buggy?) flowers that act like spikes. Graphics and music are great,I like the achievement and local storage system. The page is a bit too large to quite fit the normal screen, I have to press F11 to get both the score and messages to both appear in the page.

evoxy by Gungnir 2012-08-30T15:42:00

I only got an error message once the unity bar filled. Didn't offer me anything useful just "Download failed, please retry"

AGAIN Corp: Adaptive Genetic Artificially Initiated Corporation by CapGrip 2012-08-28T21:22:00

Sound effect and graphics are good. Unity took ages to load, and the game is horribly bugged, I see you've added bug fixes in your post compo update but the rules say you are allowed to fix your compo submission just not add new features. The improve each time is a nice feature, but its become more of a kill yourself to make you better.

Death Cell by fohx 2012-08-28T22:05:00

During the Compo I saw your post and was glad to find the finished game.

Great idea, such simple rules make such dynamic enemies. You learn to hate the invincible squares and worry that your shot my cause the enemy to "explode" though if you can dodge the explosions then its really fun. What would be nice is a score system, make the grid bigger and make it transparent so you can see those stars flowing through play area as well.

Bear Selection(Web) by darkshadow 2012-08-27T23:52:00

I have fixed the slowness problem with a slider bar that sets the mutation rate. It is now possible to win the game if you are not patient.

Bear Selection(Web) by darkshadow 2012-08-28T10:38:00

Thanks for the comment, my original plan was to include more interaction from terraforming the world and placing events but unfortunately I ran out of time.

I will try, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to HTML and modifying it with the DOM. The slider bar is placed in form which seems like it is more designed to submit server requests, the button called the function properly so I stuck it in.

Now you mention it I see the similarity, the original goal was for a game where you don't interact directly with the creatures and instead influence them through events. I will have to work on that as I didn't have time to write any other events than to splat them with my mouse.

Bear Selection(Web) by darkshadow 2012-08-28T11:00:00

I think I've fixed the freezing bug, or rather found that despite the fact I fixed it last night somehow I had forgotten to upload the revision.

for anyone interested the bug, was the game manager running a loop that goes through all the creatures, but as it was checking to see if the creature was a certain type after it told the creature make its move. So in the rare case the creature was the last in the array and died the check was looking outside the bound of the array.

Bear Selection(Web) by darkshadow 2012-09-05T17:14:00

Thanks for all your helpful comments. I had been away for a while but I will be making a post-compo version of the game once the rating period is over.

Alien Rockpool by DustyStylus 2012-08-28T15:29:00

It took a while to work out how to kill the bosses, but once I had the zapping power (not sure how I got it) they were mobbed by the other tadpoles. The graphics and audio are better than most, and movement is fluid. The group behaviour is a nice touch. Only downside is that the bosses and the alpha tadpole can disappear off screen, at least make an arrow to say where off screen they are.

Darwin's Ark (Web) by DevoreUK 2012-08-28T21:55:00

Its a fun little simulator, the minimal input is challenging in its own way and there are cringing moments where the creatures can't seem to find the food or can't quite reach a mate if they are the last two. In a way it is similar to my own game (creatures evolving in a simulator) though I didn't have the time to write as complex behaviour and events as you managed.

One possible bug I found is that the creatures got stuck in the section between the ramps.

IO VUOLE ZEN by Capro 2012-09-05T20:01:00

The ball moved well enough, you just had to get some speed up before you could jump up the ledges. What was less fun was getting through those bloody bunnies! Which is a shame as I'm sure the next area would have been interesting.

viviDNA by Gama11 2012-09-06T11:25:00

Nice concept the tail blocking is what makes it stand out.

Radioactive Space Bunnies by zimmy87 2012-08-28T16:59:00

What made the game something different, was the persistant bodies. A dead rabbit killing a worm was hillarious, and using the bodies as a carpet to safely cross spikes was useful. Despite that the game was hard really hard, I couldn't see how to jump through some sets of spikes as every jump was the same height no matter how breifly you press space.

Super Clew Land by Team Clew 2012-08-30T12:56:00

I managed to play for a little bit before the game would start temporary freezing for 5 seconds every 10 seconds, making it almost unplayable. I'm using Chrome.

From what I could make of the game the audio and graphics had a nice feel. Then the evolution mechanism added the challenge of having to move and direct the little pucks.

Temple of Evolution by Codexus 2012-08-30T14:09:00

This is by far the best 3D graphics I've seen yet. I had to play a lower quality version so I can't rate the textures but the movement was fluid, lighting was good and the puzzles were fun but the platform jumping a bit too tedious. Then the camera controls and movement were faultless, no easy feat given the number of games which get this horrifyingly bad.

Fantasy Map Tactics by McFunkypants 2012-08-28T16:34:00

The maps are the best thing about the game, I didn't see the purpose in having more than one unit if you can only move one (unless you are intending to add different types of units later), so I spent the time moving the one guy around all the cities. What would look really nice is some roads connecting some of the more major places, they might be quicker to move along but attract enemy armies that want to ambush you. As it is as well as strategy, you could make an awesome RPG from the map as well!

Strike of Rage ! by deepnight 2012-08-30T12:20:00

Great graphics, nice that you can push the desks around and stuff. The kitten sisters are hard to beat.

The only negative I could think of was there was only a loose connection to the theme, other than that its great!

Walkabot by krangGAMES 2012-08-29T17:14:00

Nice idea with the scrolling menus, the levels with more than one robot were quite challenging.

Evolution of a monster by eld 2012-09-09T19:51:00

Your map has a lot more shape to it than most of the 3D unity games. The graphics are great and the room looks like a dungeon. The only problem with the game I was a bit unclear what to do, I didn't realise at first you could pick up objects as they seemed to dissapear if you clicked on them, I later learn that if you click and hold you can move them, but if you look down at the floor they can dissapear underneath it.

Targeted Evolution by johnfn 2012-08-28T09:04:00

Great humour, what really made the game stand out was the ability to combine your power-ups to form different powers. The game has charm, but the one negative thing I can say is that it would have been even better with a good sound track and a less annoying sound from hitting the floor.

The World of What? by Kaytus 2012-08-30T14:57:00

A similar concept but a very different execution from my own game. The graphics and sound were good (despite fact several sounded like they had been taken from age of empires, but that's okay for the Jam). I like the menu screen and the game has some charm with the creatures with hats. I just had no idea what I was meant to be doing or how.

Boxy the Boxcat in Evolution Escapades by matthias_zarzecki 2012-08-30T15:53:00

Radioactive laser cats! The game is as awesome as it sounds.

Only down side was the movement felt sluggish.

The Legend of Elzad by arkeus 2012-08-30T12:46:00

Great graphics, huge world and a surprising number of similarities to a Zelda game. While that is a huge achievement for 48 hours, I do have to make some constructive criticism: it doesn't rank highly on the innovation that could have been a lot higher if you brought in something new and in the theme as well if you made a semi dynamic landscape or enemies. Still, I realise that those features would have been time demanding to implement and I haven't seen a game yet that has managed to fit all the categories. So its more a suggestion for what you could do post compo, or for future competitions.

The Balance by mr_Hk_ 2012-08-28T22:15:00

Amazing graphics, what is really nice is the paint line that gets drawn out and all the pattern you can make from clicking. The total stats from all of the games played is an interesting idea, it looks very balanced at the moment.

Mars Evolution by morganquirk 2012-08-28T09:20:00

Really really pretty graphics. The game feels nicely polished, though I am stuck how get more than 1 goal though I think I might have found different ones each time.

Mars Evolution by morganquirk 2012-08-28T17:40:00

Thanks for the walkthrough, I forgot to mention the first time that I liked the airlock.

Legacy Bird by Farfin 2012-09-05T19:30:00

I like the minimalistic feel to the game and how anything added to the game feels perfectly placed. The combat is also done well so you have to try and position your sword between you and the monster. Some retro music might have been nice if you had the time to add it.

simUniverse by Rex Peppers 2012-08-28T09:12:00

I would say it was press space to win, but you don't win. You could have done a lot more with the game with the time you had if you are going to make the first 200 million years dull then at least speed them up a little. I don't have the patience to see if anything actually happens, though the comments seem to think that nothing does.

The Legend of Marilia by Doft 2012-08-30T13:35:00

The bow and the sword look and act really nicely. Then the mood is dark and scary with lots of things to jump out at you. Only problem I felt the dungeon itself a bit lacking in variation, add in some more textures then change the shape of the rooms a bit to add a few pillars and buttresses to the walls.

Praepoch by Connor 2012-09-05T19:41:00

Lovely game, so many different locations and types of creature. The interaction with the environment with the tree chopping and the boat. I don't think I have a single fault with the game other than I took me a while how to work out to progress the dialogue at the end.

Complexitivity by Accidental Rebel 2012-09-06T12:01:00

Fun and well polished game, one downside was I didn't see how it fitted the theme at all.

OF SPECIES by kato9 2012-08-28T20:29:00

Managed to get to the end, really jumped at the first worm, and quite a few after that. The various types of medical equipment was good. It could have done with a bit more of a story and an explaination about the worms and weird boxes.

Evolution hates you by Danvil 2012-09-13T13:25:00

The evolving creature graphics are really good. The other traits are good with the tasty and the poisonous creatures. The comments by the creatures add a bit of humour.

eVo by bushmango 2012-08-28T17:37:00

I like the recursive story. Then the hummour is good and the game didn't take too long to complete. What I didn't like is the hyperlinks for the battle box move around, it would be nicer if they were fixed to one position.

CellEvolution by gbear605 2012-08-28T13:19:00

Nice little game, was the original idea for more levels once you could place blocks? Was still good collection the cell parts, and longer platformers can get tedious if you don't offer new features.

ThroughoutTheAges by sampyxis 2012-08-30T15:39:00

The characters all look very good, the music would be nice if the loops were longer and having each level as an evolution stage was good. The short-cut to evolution was useful to see the later stages. Equipping items is a bit buggy.

Leap of the Lemmings by bigbazwa 2012-08-28T21:05:00

Its quite a funny little game, even the gravestones for the lemmings which should be sad. The UI is very basic and the camera controls can be a bit annoying but the cliff is huge and this physics seems good.

I can't seem to tell what traits make the lemmings more survivable. Also please fix your link from https to http as with the first version the page didn't recognise I had unity.

Super Charles Darwin by gnx 2012-09-05T18:53:00

I am sick of those annoying fish. Fun game and I like the non-intrusive story scrolling on the start menu.

One Last Chance by recursive frog 2012-08-30T15:09:00

Interesting concept, this has potential. At first I didn't get what the force close was about, I thought I had made some sort of mistake. Then once you reload the app it goes really weird, like your still holding the books (which you can drop). Add some more story and fix the bugs and this will be awesome!

Evoland by ncannasse 2012-08-28T12:55:00

Best Entry I've played yet, its not the first time I've seen the theme evolution of gaming but this is the best and most polished one I've seen yet.

How much traffic did your dropbox get? Only asking as I've hosted my game on there, though I shouldn't worry as much as it is nowhere near as good or popular as this.

RED PLANET by BuffaloPhil 2012-08-28T09:35:00

Great game, the Graphics and audio are fantastic the music sounds similar to the music from the original Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy TV series. The map is nice as well it does feel like you are in a small research station.

Only only negative point was the story wasn't only linear (not always a bad thing) but you were constantly told exactly what to do.

Icarus: the Evolution of Flight by Wanderlands 2012-08-30T15:55:00

Please let me know when you upload it. I was wondering why it had no ratings!

Human 2.0 by dengzo 2012-08-30T13:21:00

The ambience and the pencil drawing style gives the game a great mood. Then the harvesting humans is quite a freaky idea and works with the theme well. Then the meteorite physics works well, I find I can't really push the big ones, but I can shield the creatures from the smaller bouncing debris by pushing it away.

Dissolution by Sergey Mohov 2012-09-05T20:07:00

I can understand why Dude can't stand the world if its trying to kill him. Interesting little game.

NSA's Where's Snowden? by Will Edwards 2013-09-01T19:54:00

Fun, like a more serious version of uplink. being a bit of a SQL noob, I had nowhere enough time to do anything more than run a couple of queries before Snowden escapes every time! If you work any more on this please add some way of changing how quickly time flows. Thanks to clippy and @wombatica for offering useful querries. How do you move your agents?

NSA's Where's Snowden? by Will Edwards 2013-09-02T13:17:00

@wombatica Thanks I was able to book now. Ah okay if you do anything post jam, prehaps highlight it blue like a hyper-link or something to indicate it is functional rather than just plain text.

Slowly getting to grips with querying faster, still got loads to learn. I'll let you know if I have any success catching people.

10 sec. Fast Beef by Alexander Ponomariov 2013-08-31T16:10:00

Very dark. Physics done superbly, graphics, sound and everything all very nicely polished.

SILX by alvivar 2013-09-03T15:52:00

Love the controls for this and all the whizzing bullets. perhaps at more of a reason to walk around normally I'm thinking black square block bullets or the turrets have a minimum range, so that if a player can weave between the bullets and land on the tower they have a safe few moments to blow up the nearest turret. The shape of the tower can be fixed so that the player has to fly out again (back into danger) to get to another turret.

It's got great potential to mix bullet hell with a platformer!

10 seconds to save the day by Volute 2013-08-31T21:06:00

Yeah Finished it :D Like the flowy drawing style and a nice little story, glad the pace sped up a bit at the end, either that or I was getting the hang of what/where I needed to do/go. Story didn't explain what Alice had to do with the accident.

Duke Dashington by AdventureIslands 2013-08-26T18:33:00

Brilliantly polished and nice little game. The dash movement is a good alternative to the normal platformer movement, though a little tricky to get the timing right.

Ten-Second Taxi by schnerble 2013-09-02T19:55:00

I kept on getting stuck in buildings and the edges of the map. Glad to see you've done that in a post compo build. Music is suitable and the comments by the people are funny. If you had looping edges to the map that would increase the pace and make it even more mad!

My Tenth Adventure by DiscoFish 2013-08-30T18:33:00

Bizarre, theme and art style feels a little like adventure time. Certainly the character is a little Finn the Human looking. F5 didn't give me super powers :(

Pleading Rain by Brassawiking 2013-08-31T19:40:00

Partial walk-through is pretty essential, you should show that before players start. Before that I just kept on getting no scores or Fs, having no idea what to do with the thought pictures. With the walkthrough on how you had to join more than one thought I was able to have enough time to get a B grade. Getting round the non intuitive idea, its a very cool concept with a gruelling pace set high enough the real game is trying to keep calm and focus.

Clockwork Cat by patrickgh3 2013-08-31T23:53:00

Cute cat, gorgeous background. Sounds all added great atmosphere. Nice touch how some of the platforms are controlled by the clock.

Space TimeX10 by Sh1rogane 2013-08-27T21:04:00

Loving the time-warp effect, that and the upgrades are the best bits of the game. Movement felt a little weird and Watching the boss constantly crawl up and down the screen during the start, slowed down the otherwise pacey game.

The Saddest Landscape by BradleySmith 2013-08-31T20:36:00

Lovely graphics, very Limbo like in style.

TIME SHIFTER by Split82 2013-09-02T19:37:00

Did it! :D Loved the puzzles, brilliant little game you could do loads of things with the time shift idea, 3D braid why hasn't anyone done it already!?

No more Fuel ! by paraple-geek 2013-08-30T18:53:00

Gah punshining difficult, even with playing loads of KSP! Still fun though, if the player starting in a more stable orbit would give you more time to look around the map, at the moment its a desperate case of avoiding the planets as soon as you spawn!

Logic Bomb by Moebius 2013-09-03T22:31:00

Love the tangle of wires. Quite a mix of challenges from very simple (ands and ors where just cut everything) to very hard (nots and xors where you need to be more careful) Really fun and good use of logic circuits :)

Did somehow manage to get a glitch where I cut the right wires at the last second and managed to win as well set the bomb off!?

Royal Decree by darkshadow 2013-08-26T16:54:00

Lo-X I think you tried opening the downloads while they were still being uploaded. If you try again it should work now.

Royal Decree by darkshadow 2013-09-02T12:37:00

Thank you everyone for all your kind feedback :)

@Jarcas Studios

You've found me out, ran out of time to implement that feature ;)

@Mlle Eole

Which format are you playing? I know there are some audio issues with Firefox and IE, if you are able to please try using a different browser. The mute button is always labelled mute and should switch between a speaker and a crossed out speaker indicating what state the game is in.

Royal Decree by darkshadow 2013-09-17T22:11:00

Thanks to everyone who has rated in the last week I've been on holiday so have been unable to reciprocate, but will certainly check out your games anyway.

Mr.President! (Web) by Richard Matey 2013-08-30T16:51:00

Well that was very silly and fun due to the ragdoll physics!

575 by the31 2013-08-27T17:09:00

Nicely done, I was struggling to manage in the time until I saw the boxes were sub-divided into the number of syllables the word has!

HowToBasic: The Game by haloflooder 2013-08-31T21:12:00

No idea how I won the move level, clicking the buttons or pressing arrow keys did nothing the first time! The rest of the game makes hardly any more sense, but the paradox level was funny!

ARGENTUM FORM by blackotus 2013-09-02T19:12:00

Freaky... where could her normal place be?

Loved it the camera vignette and other effects are great. Please of the direct control, not such a fan of point and click this feels better. At first I thought all the rooms weren't really behaving themselves but actually they seemed to stay put, no freaky 4D antichamber effects. Once I realised that moving around felt easier I like how that emulates the shock and disorientation of the guy losing his wife. I also liked how you could tell where in the house you were with the furniture and all their positioning started to make sense.

De Bomb Da Bomb by Ariake81 2013-09-02T17:11:00

Great concept, really nice graphics, only problem is walls that are too sticky. I'm thankful for the prep time to move people to the right places before your first action.

One Direction by KingRageXIII 2013-09-03T16:52:00

Really enjoyed it and shows what you can do with CS, more variation in generated obstacles would keep it entertaining for longer. While the z key feels a little awkward and a first I was constantly walking into walls I'm now leaping over everything! A prettified map and more music and it could be even better.

The Vengeful Baby-Men by Jarcas Studios 2013-09-02T17:02:00

Very original love the music, thanks for including the hints option. trying again without using hints and its much more difficult. The clipping between sections even when in the right order is a bit of a distraction if you could fix it to have smoother transitions that would be great. Other than that more songs please! :D

Anti - Explosive Babies by ToadieTechnika 2013-09-01T00:21:00

Nice rag-doll physics, intro text was silly and bizarre (could exploding nappies be anything else?), all in all nice game.

Hallucivian by Hypnohustla 2013-08-31T20:27:00

Seriously insane. Lovely bright colours and good choice of music!

Signal Delay by ChrisGaudino 2013-09-02T17:29:00

This is more infuriating than qwop! I've got the driving sorted even with max delay, but the grabber I can hardly handle even min delay, it worked so nicely the first time I didn't realise it actually has all the finesse of an arcade grabber >:/ I'm guessing that's where KSP found the parts for the rover?

Anway enough of the minor grumblings, I love the game! Brilliant concept and a real original challenge.

To Hell With Love by sunnysmiles 2013-08-27T09:34:00

I quite like how it fits the theme, but it was a bit crashy for me on Firefox 23.

10 Seconds of Grey by Almax27 2013-09-01T00:04:00

My goodness, just look at that street! :O Can't believe you managed to do that as well as everything else in the game. Conversations were funny if repetitive by the end of it I wish there was a punch in face option for the taco taco guy! Please do a post-jam entry with more dialogue :)

Play Time's Over by Broxxar 2013-08-27T20:53:00

Silky smooth controls, I can't blame them for dying so much! Some sort of checkpoint would be nice but the change of rules are great!

PROBE TEAM by Andrew Shouldice 2013-09-03T16:36:00

Loved the sense of exploring and the fuel limit is a great challenge. Loved the graphical aesthetic and the ending is the best twist!

Step Out by bitserum 2013-08-27T16:57:00

Lovely graphics, good atmosphere, with a relaxed pace but still fitting to the 10 second theme.

Emergency Stop by agrdev 2013-08-27T17:02:00

Simple concept, great execution.

Bubble or Nothing by Yoni 2013-08-27T16:47:00

Really crisp clear cutscenes, well polished with good audio and graphics. good sense of humour, the weakest point was the gameplay.

Royal Defenestrator by BasmanovDaniil 2013-09-02T17:49:00

Very silly very fun, got so keen on chunking stuff I chunked the vase she liked! >:/ At first looked similar to my game but the only thing in common is they both make fun of royalty :)

10 Seconds Before the World Ends by Lustdante 2013-08-26T19:23:00

Excellent idea!

Fight The Urge by Keith Evans 2013-09-09T14:32:00

Brilliant idea! managed to make it to the bathroom on both levels, well 'a' bathroom on the second one, good enough lol

Rebound Recon by TheHermit 2013-08-31T23:46:00

Planing the path and watching the drone is great fun, combination of time and fuel limits adds a nice challenge. Very well made!

Crazy Genetist by ratalaika 2013-09-02T18:30:00

Good Job http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2013/09/01/l-for-loser/

Crazy Genetist by ratalaika 2013-09-02T22:32:00

@ratalaika okay fair response. Only the best games get long reviews and sometimes a sentence is plenty. I personally ensure that the comment regardless of length is non generic to show the creator that you have taken a little time to appreciate what they've done.

If you really can't think of something specific then perhaps vary your comments a little bit so you can't be mistakenly accused of copy-pasting reviews.

Anyway fun little puzzle game, the frantic piecing together of parts reminds me of building your spaceship in galaxy trucker.

QuickHunt by MvdLaar 2013-08-28T21:37:00

Lovely graphics, and the throw physics feels satisfying rather than frustrating which is all too common. Only thing it was lacking was some suitable music, or at least some more sounds (could hardly hear the background ambiance at normal volume), audio cues from the animals to help you hunt would be brilliant.

10 Seconds to leave by Caracole 2013-09-01T00:15:00

Very surreal, humour was quite good, not much time given to answer questions though the non response answers were very funny!

Lost in the Darkness by TobiasW 2013-08-31T23:21:00

Brilliant concept. I love the bug like scurrying of the demon eyed soot monsters.

Oxy by hbocao 2013-08-31T19:56:00

The game fits the theme perfectly and is brilliant idea. Controls feel really nice, unlike some games this definitely feels like underwater. I'd would not have been able to tell that this was your first game if you hadn't mentioned it.

Legend of Epikouros by Erhune 2013-09-02T18:24:00

Love the music, started off being quite relaxed watching the other people succeed or fail to be useful. As it was getting closer to my turn, I started getting tense "Would I be one of the people who progressed the story, or would I be a failure and a time waster?" In the end I was a bit of both! Really looking forward to seeing the final video - Jim playthrough 6

While its fair I can't play again for the same play through is it just for this playthrough or for all playthroughs?

Fix it up ! by crazyrems 2013-08-30T19:05:00

As Elisee has finished writing file saves functionality for craft studio, you should be able to make permanent map saves. An in-game level editor has trigger my interest, I'll have to try it as soon as I can.

Antarctic Glitch by Beavl 2013-08-30T17:42:00

Nice intro, and the changing character is fun. With such nice looking sprites its surprising a simple laser shot is not among them. The 10 seconds jump between glitches seems a bit of a technical afterthought, when you were really following the glitch theme.

The Duellists by jay griffin 2013-09-02T16:51:00

Just brilliant, great concept and thoroughly enjoyable!

10 Seconds in Hell by AmyDee 2013-08-30T18:45:00

Horrifying, seemed powerless. couldn't get Q and E to do anything helpful. Only found two endings doing nothing or leaving the room the only way possible.

Time Slime Arena by TomCooper3D 2013-09-02T16:41:00

Duo control system is a great innovation, I like how you can mix and match items and all have their uses. Going all mange is quite fun shooting fireballs and the defensive spell is great pushing you away from danger AND freezing the enemy! Graphic and map are nice, music is nice although out of theme with the rest of the setting. If you do a post comp version a walk animation for the guy would be an idea.

Atomic Warning by kleyson220 2013-08-28T21:40:00

Simple, but fun while it lasts :)

Defuse in 10 seconds by archaeometrician 2013-08-28T21:27:00

Gah, that game is stressful, in a good way! The Sinister music and endless bleeping sounds. you should make a hardcore mode where the error buzz is the sound of you triggering your imminent demise >:D

Cutting Challenge by Ken Ichi 2013-08-28T21:15:00

Nicely done, reminds me slightly of one of wii sport minigames. The mechanics feels very satisfy, to discourage waving about randomly you should cut the board in half regardless of if its done correctly or not, then the player will have to be more precise and careful.

Lost Pixel by unitycoder_com 2013-09-02T16:29:00

Got to lvl 27, amazed how I was able to almost instantly spot the odd pixel! Nice audio and good clean visuals.

Moondrop by nanotech 2013-08-28T21:49:00

It took some time before I found you could speed grapple, but otherwise I loved it!

S0LB0T by XaiZil 2013-09-02T19:19:00

The setting totally reminds me of one of the Asimov robot short stories. The procedural map generation, the crawly movement are all lovely little touches. If only I didn't die so quickly and it take so long to restart!

Antidote by Antidote 2013-09-08T21:32:00

Yeah I escaped with 1$ :D Swear I got more but then I probably lost it all from being hit by things. Fantastic amount of stuff accomplished in the time limit. Difficulty of the rooms scaled perfectly, always felt pressed to the time limit but never actually ran out of time.

Anti-Grav Drive by bnhw 2013-08-27T17:18:00

Physics + Retro graphics, brilliant combination. Nice touch with the fake console screen. Much more fun than a traditional dodge game.

Atomic Time Raiders by Colapsydo 2013-09-02T19:49:00

Yippee neo got his electrons back! Nice embellishment around the puzzle game, pressing the buttons is satisfyingly done.

Mr Moore's Last Seconds by Tainted_Code 2013-08-31T20:20:00

Lovely story and by far the most effort spent on audio I've heard, really pays off well! Poor, poor Mr Moore.
5* for Theme, Audio and Mood.

Mission Luna by LTyrosine 2013-09-07T20:50:00

Really like the resource system, keeping the solar panels lit while manoeuvring is quite the challenge. Sadly trying to work out your direction of travel from the information given is difficult so I had no idea if I was ever in a good orbit or not (every time ended up crashing on the moon or getting lost in deep space). I like the alarm and all the computer panels, lots of features that KSP would be awesome to have.

T.A.C.O.S by Elisée and friends 2013-08-27T10:29:00

I'll have to try it again when I've got a mouse, sprites look really nice. Global Leaderboard is a pretty cool feature too.

Hyper Furball by DDRKirby(ISQ) 2013-09-02T18:55:00

HYPER FURBALL MODE! :D upgrades are really good (though I found things became a lot easier with long arms and most of the hyper upgrades), I was starting to wonder if the game was endless but then I found the ending. Really fun and feels like a complete well rounded game rather something rushed out in 72 hours.

Low Battery by RHY3756547 2013-08-31T23:36:00

The showers of particles while looking nice mean you can't see anything and really lags out the game. Controls felt frustrating, especially wall jumping. The sarcastic commentary on top of my almost continuous dying got annoying really quickly. Graphics look nice and game feels polished, it's a shame that a couple of little things ruined what would otherwise be an enjoyable game.

ROBOT PLANET by GeorgeBroussard 2013-08-31T19:47:00

Mixing dungeon crawling rogue style with a time limit is great to add extra tension. The breathing and other audio makes things even more tense. The laser blast also feels satisfyingly chunky. Very nice game.

Ten Seconds Lifespan by Mlle Eole 2013-09-01T16:33:00

A nice little game and I like what you did with the theme. The interface and click-move methods weren't the best, but still a good job overall.

Army of Botz by imef 2013-08-30T17:28:00

Hah great fun did all 15 levels. None of the levels was too taxingly difficult. Had a few minor glitches like robots going through one another the extra types of robots made things a bit more interesting. Reminds me of the board game Robo-rally minus the crazy multiplayer with people shoving each other into pits and lasers!

Stator Chronicle by Sergey Mohov 2013-08-31T20:12:00

The map is very pretty and the game very stylish, procedural generation certainly helped with that. Despite that the uniform generation away from the open area around the house didn't really incentivise me to explore more, though I guess it does add to the sensation of feeling lost when everything looks the same but isn't quite the same. Game-play was a bit lacking, and having to pay more and more for each line was a bit off-putting.

LD30 — Connected Worlds

The Asteroids I Call Home by Elemental Zeal Games Studios 2014-08-27T16:07:00

A really enjoyable game! Although being able to take at least a couple of hits before dying would have been appreciated :)

Flower Power by Boberro 2014-08-27T18:56:00

A really cool take on the theme. Shame about the lack of sound, but I still enjoyed it.

Spaced Out by darkshadow 2014-08-25T21:33:00

Thanks WeaselZone, I'm considering a post-compo version so advice is very welcome :)

Spaced Out by darkshadow 2014-09-07T13:51:00

Sorry to hear that guys. What OS versions were they? Also do you have the required XNA / mono software?

Superconnected World by aDFP 2014-08-26T10:16:00

A fun little game - I also enjoyed the voxel aesthetic. However there didn't seem to be a way to exit the game (from fullscreen mode), so I had to end the game from the task manager while the mouse was locked to the game.

Flip Out! by DeltaF1 2014-08-27T18:49:00

Over too soon, but at least you've made it easy to edit levels :)
Kinda like the Shift series of online games.

The Old One by JNT 2014-08-27T15:59:00

Nice idea, but the stamina system seems to be a bit too harsh and unclear - I think I would have liked to see a numeric indicator of stamina in addition to the snail/shell colour.

Where's Mummy? by LevieDAudio 2014-08-27T18:41:00

I like the idea of putting the puzzle clues in the landscape - some more difficult ones wouldn't have gone amiss, but what you've done is good.

Get it out of here! by concalf 2014-08-25T22:02:00

3:56 nice mechanics give reasons to switch between both words, and not just complete one then the other. Controls feel pretty well and destroying the enemies part by part is a good improvement over a health bar.

KHIVY by PhilippeAnder 2014-08-26T17:40:00

The game would have played better if switching between the up/down orientation was done with a button. It was changing erratically, which made platforming annoying at times.

I think a health bar and game over/you win screens would also have been nice. The art is pretty neat, and it was fun to play anyway!

Down With Unification! by NickFrushour 2014-08-28T15:40:00

That was great fun! It was a bit weird at the end when I seemed to be controlling 10ish ships all bunched together. Is that number of ships dependent on how many planets you satisfied?

Connection War by fraxken 2014-08-26T18:42:00

In the Windows version, the control options seem to be borked. The game uses the default controls despite changing the controls in the menu.

Azuroj by Buttsteam 2014-08-26T13:18:00

The story and gameplay fit the theme very nicely, and the level design is great. My only gripe would be that the player movement felt a tad too sluggish, but otherwise it's an excellent game!

Pulley Planet by Patacorow 2014-08-25T21:54:00

Great concept with the pulleys, took me a while to work out how it all worked but when I got it sorted it all was quite simple. Lovely art and sounds all comes together with a polished game.

I'd like to review but I click the button to load the game and the buttom disapears and nothing else happens

Drillromantik by pschichtel 2021-04-29T19:32:37Z

Nice little game really draws you in, the market is seriously OP like good old Age of Empires

Alcheminer by Joror 2021-05-08T13:08:15Z

How does the pump work?

Nevermind Seems to work on the download version...

Really enjoyed this game and spent far too long on it, a few more tools would have been quite interesting, filters, placeable taps, some cheap liquid to flush stuff out

Deepspace by Willops 2021-04-29T21:15:24Z

The music and the hand drawn stuff is great, as is the inventory. Great achievement given the time you had was really feeling the FTL vibes.

Sometimes weapon attacks didn't seem to respond after clicking, and after an enemy encounter it seems like you have to press the leave button twice. A bit of UI polish and it would be a solid game!

Dwarven Surveyor by Jimbly 2021-04-28T17:37:15Z

103/155

This is the favourite game I've played yet. Like the minesweeper mechanic but the level peeking is what makes it!

Dwarven Surveyor by Jimbly 2021-04-28T20:42:16Z

@jimbly Firefox, I don't think the highscore table loaded, I didn't see any other scores

Voyager by Jesús González 2021-04-27T16:56:09Z

I love the style of the game and the idea of controlling a probe through deep space is great, I like how the stars started to move as you get faster.

I got stuck when I found some fuel but didn't have enough power to active the robotics to collect it. A slider to control the audio volume would be good, I could barely hear anything when I had the system volume on max.

Absolutely nailed down the mechanics, and it looks really nice too

Descent into Madness by danvil 2021-04-29T19:56:22Z

Nice lighting and music very atmospheric, nice variation in obstacles, the angler fish type thing is my least favourite by far!

Dark waters by antoined73 2021-04-28T16:54:05Z

I was moving downwards for about 5 minutes before I was wondering where all the fish were. Doh mouse wheel, which turns out to be inverted on my computer!

Very nice colours and very chilled out

BreakEven by F1Krazy 2021-05-08T19:08:38Z

Very retro, I'm not familiar with the TIC-80 so it is probably pretty impressive use of the limit specs of the machine, the inertia to the movement was nice, getting a bit of lateral velocity to snipe enemies was good. Found clipping into the grey building quite annoying though.

[WebGL/HTML5] Who am I? by leorid 2021-04-27T16:37:02Z

Great concept and I like the Hack style movement. Found it was lagging quite a lot (0.5 FPS) not just during animation but during some of the movement to the start. I'd check out the unity profiler to see if anything is taking longer than it should to do. Otherwise great game!

Under the Surface by Wolfrug 2021-04-27T19:16:11Z

Impressive amount of stuff added! Felt very atmospheric. Would have liked volume settings as it was too loud on headphones especially as some of the audio was clipping and popping.

The UI could do with more polish, I'm not sure how I was doing it but the guy kept walking away as I was trying to click on something. The chat box could do with being more central and prominent, I kept on trying to click or move only to see there was still a little bit of text left to read freezing me in place

Deeper-Geddon by heidelbert 2021-05-08T13:43:09Z

Nice little factory game, slight issue with z-fighting between the sprites. I liked the 10-minute countdown which felt like just the right time to feel some pressure

If the conveyor rear orientation stayed when switching between angles that would have helped a lot. Also, the delete tool you have to click on the origin tile for the building rather than just any building tile

Who runs the world? by Vladimir Smolin 2021-04-27T17:05:42Z

This game is going to give me a repetitive strain injury, I got as far as unlocking all areas and the death bar at the bottom was too low for me to have the motivation to carry on sorry. The art looks nice and clean though.

The Icarus by PowerAnze 2021-05-09T19:15:22Z

That was the most claustrophobic game I've ever played well done! The sonar really builds the mood and over time you get better at reading the landscape (cavescape?) when you come to the really large decent bit you I really had my heart in my stomach when I realised I was over a pit which was so deep it started off, off the scales!

Outerstellar by MadHumster 2021-04-29T20:48:24Z

Really nice atmosphere, it felt dark and the planets were nice and glowy, an arrow to point you back to the space station would be really helpful.

I really liked drawing out the map.

There is no friction in space so would have liked to have been able to move as such without drag.

Bus Crawl by Valid 2021-05-09T19:22:43Z

How do you place more than two stops for a route?

Tower Tower Defence Defence by IAmWave 2021-04-28T16:44:01Z

Great idea and well executed! This looks like a huge time sink!

The only thing keeping it from perfection is the mini-map on the right, I thought time was paused while in the turret until I died! Then I'm not sure how but maybe some colouring for the progress bars to show how many times it's been reset so I can see which will upgrade and which ones are stuck.

The UI glitched on Firefox but okay on chrome

The Bothnia Trench by Milestone Games 2021-04-28T16:16:20Z

Well done not normally a fan of point and click, but keeping a simple clean and small enviorment the hunting isn't too bad. Apart from the “vial” but even that avoided the "Rubber Chicken" trope that too many point and clicks have.

Dialogue is great and all in all a very smooth experience, the dialogue selection UI is clean, simple and works better than the other entries I've seen here.

For even better polish I'd suggest making the doorways more visible to get back into the corridor, and when going back to the corrior the camera should start centred around the door you've come back through to avoid any disorientation

Just keep sinking by MinThaMie 2021-05-08T18:31:42Z

Nice art style and nice and simple I like the mix of critters and their different movements. Able to increase and decrease the speed of descent would be interesting. Nice to have a control method other than keyboard like most of the entries.

I also note a weird 1px border of pixels

Well done for making 20 ratings!

In Search of Sigmund I by T C 2021-04-27T19:32:15Z

Nice mix of varied enemies, movement is good. Also an upgrade system!

I kept seeming to clip the narrow tunnel on the level transition which seems sticky and slows your sub down, apart from that the boundaries worked okay. Also an explaination when you get to the bottom would be useful, I'm not quite sure why I died or is the other sub not friendly?

Into the Deep Web by Jon Topielski 2021-04-30T19:19:05Z

Wow, this has a lot of potential I like the battle mechanics and the encounters, I did quite enjoy the anticlimactic ending! A bit of music and audio, and it would be perfect!

Lies & Descent by LazyAlarm 2021-05-08T18:52:08Z

Glad I downloaded it the Web version was practically unplayable from being so dark and the mouse very sensitive. The climbing mechanic was enjoyable even though I wasn't very good. The press jump longer to jump higher was good but being a little more forgiving when jumping from the side of the ledge would be nice (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFsJIrm2btU), I kept falling from the pillar especially the triangular one second from last.

Third Party by Duckonaut 2021-05-08T14:52:05Z

Maybe it was the web version but all the dead bodies were spinning around like mad?

I'd have played more but the elevator loading screen took far too long.

Graphically it looks great though

Dwammings by Eden Shazar 2021-05-08T13:21:20Z

Really got into the game, only sad at some of the dwarfs who got trapped in a circle after calling the end bell! Really enjoy the puzzle elements about how to safely dig down more

Tom's Twist by TheBlindEye 2021-05-08T19:56:37Z

Nice low poly style, and great little narrative, good pace. A minor improvement would be to face the player looking out the door on the second day rather than facing into the door.

Deep Jam by MadR 2021-04-28T17:04:33Z

Art is great, really smooth, nice pressing music and the deadline gives pressure.

I don't mind the speed but the hitbox for the errors is brutal, insta death even if I do land on a box! my best after 60 attempts must have been 10 seconds and the only time I made it to the second bit with the slidy boxes, where I lived for so short a time I didn't even know what killed me there

Fly Away by PSV Games Studio 2021-04-29T20:23:17Z

Really nice and fun little entry, I'm afraid I got stuck on level 7.

I did give it a good try but had enough after the second time the hitbox around the feet clipped the fences. Worth fixing it, as you want players to have the adrenaline rush of "wow that was close" not the disappointment of "that sucks my feet didn't even hit anything!"

Mine of Mine (web) by darkshadow 2021-04-28T17:49:39Z

@everyone thanks for the nice comments, I ran out of TNT or drills or more underground variation like cave ins or falling rocks, or better stuff deeper down.

Maybe I shouldn't have used a rigid body for the character and have directly move the player

Trash`n`Roll by WhiteCubeGames 2021-04-27T18:55:54Z

Purple Potatos  First Time I played I didn't work out what to do before the entry area overfilled, second time I didn't find the happiness button, third time the enviroment meter filled up I'm not sure why as I fully upgraded my factories didn't see an option to send it to space!

Great little game I liked the trucks driving around, nice snappy pacing. Would be nice to show what the differences are between the different factories and an animation of the entry yard filling up would be great.

To avoid giving your players a repetitive strain injury I'd suggest having a toggle on if a factory is accepting rubbish or not instead of clicking all the time.

Low poly art stile looks great!

The game over music plays on a loop even after restarting the game

Slumber by KepperSnapper 2021-04-29T20:05:29Z

Nice take on the theme, the babies sounded super annoying so well done I guess!? Very well put together, graphics were great and the game was polished, only minor issue was it was a little fiddly, and I seemed to get stuck on the bouncer a lot.

Cable Connector LLC by Jezzamon 2026-04-20T18:30:20Z

Very funny (but I can't rate the humor!) the voice give the game charm. Boss fight is fun but hard, keep dying no idea how close I am to beating gab-be-edi

Cable Connector LLC by Jezzamon 2026-04-21T21:30:41Z

@jezzamon brilliant thanks!

Sonar Ping by CoastersPaul 2026-04-20T18:45:02Z

Amazing! really strong entry, engaging enough for me to keep going and push through to the finish. Though one level I couldn't quite tell if I was cheesing it or not having learnt where the finish was I could the just go straight for it without making any pings or if that the idea!

Not being able to tell what exactly the enemy ships are is a little scary, I couldn't tell if they were ramming or what and narratively cohesive. Would love to see more of a world through nothing but sonar pings

Music is good and funny but could do with a longer loop the avoid it getting repetitive.

As Fassenberg said is there anything you didn't get to add? I feel like your concept could do a lot more, more enemy types, falling debrie, some sort of jammer, or field that makes the ping move slower.

Misplaced by manabreak 2026-04-20T18:56:04Z

Nice game, probably just me but I'm not very good at platformers got stuck at the rotating platforms. Also managed to glitch the box through a wall which was annoying having to go and fetch it again.

Music is good as the glowing effect

Drone Supervisor II Online by Jimbly 2026-04-20T20:52:46Z

Okay this is nuts, technically impressive, gameplay wise I'll have to comeback to it

Signal Space by ping78 2026-04-20T21:00:44Z

Asteroids with wifi, brilliant. I love the physical feel of the rocks and the enemies are delightful the way they move!

Signaler Signal by khaotom 2026-04-21T20:47:50Z

Nice puzzles, charming animation, lovely audio. The deadly trash cans were a bit annoying and movement felt a bit off but that might just be that I don't really like platformers much

Ace Recon by tinykidtoo 2026-04-21T21:04:13Z

Feels satisfying and crunchy despite the the lag on the web build!

Nice one, any game that makes you feel like gromit flying his little plane is great one!

Probe Away by quadtree 2026-04-21T21:14:33Z

Brilliant sending out the probes is a lot of fun and seeing the colour map at the end is pretty satisfying. Nicely take on the theme

Echo by japes 2026-04-22T21:01:32Z

Great idea love how tactile the echos are! And I like how both modes have their usages, one for finding the way the other for telling what shape things are. Audio was a bit repetitive needs a little variation.

TRAPTOMB by fullmontis 2026-04-20T21:09:01Z

The signal triggers are a cool idea, though the platformer is too hard for me stuck on the level where you have to repeatedly dash quickly before the first jump signal catches up and removes all the platforms

Static by drtizzle 2026-04-26T14:41:25Z

Love the mood and the pace, all round pleasing game

Hoist the Flag! by oller125 2026-04-20T21:15:22Z

Nice flags, nice music, cool concept. Could feel a bit more tactile, felt more like a telephone keypad than hoisting flags. Still very good

Fillmore's Island by Jeremy Ryan 2026-04-26T13:06:07Z

Charming game, I love the SFX and the physicality of the drone, would work nicely with twin sticks joypad

Licence to Fine by IndigoWolf 2026-04-20T18:10:40Z

Nice take on the theme, I thought about doing something with a van hunting down spies and triangulating but I didn't have the whole weekend to work on it so fair play for going for something ambitious!

Lovely little map and nice minimap

The alt button freelook did something weird with the mouse and turned the camera upside down.

Got stuck with trying to get signal match I got the freq and amplitude right (found the scroll wheel could move the slider in small enough steps) but the phase was doing something strange and changing the frequency if set to a high value with the wave going both up and down at the same time! I'm sorry to say this made it more frustrating than fun

Plenty of content for a compo, but could do with some polish on the control dials if you've time for a post compo version!

The Last Signal by DarthWaxus 2026-04-20T21:20:49Z

Love the graphics, but just a bit too difficult, anyone got any strategies how to do better? the spider seems to be able to do a better job of taking out the riders that I, but not fast enough and it gets too crowded

Avalanche by JulienLussiez 2026-04-20T18:20:24Z

I like the challenge of following the pinging noise, audio and art style is great and climbing the mountains is quite fun plus little critters! Maps maybe a bit too big, just needs a little more of something to keep you going

Cave Man Conversations by SirLich 2026-04-26T15:15:26Z

Great game, I think what makes it is the two way conversation it's like two games in one. Some variations in the words were a little annoying to get exactly right i.e. right tense or with or without the s, there are software libraries that do that sort of thing which would make it a little more friendly, so thank you for having the hint system

@Fifut exactly the same issue on itch.io, If I unfocus then I can move the mouse to the bottom of the screen and I can just about see the treeline

Beacon by MostLikely 2026-04-26T14:49:46Z

Best mechanics I've seen this compo, I really like the idea and how the limited actions means you have to work out what are the best combos and the cards and the board fit together nicely feeling like one game not two.

If you need any ideas some "intel" cards would be nifty to get an idea of what the computer player's cards are

Shroomice by Lizz 2026-04-22T07:48:50Z

Great world building, but lots of the text is hard to read and follow, like it's been translated poorly.

Too Many Goblins! by Tykki19 2026-04-26T15:36:14Z

Top entry I love the cartoon graphics, the music and the mechanics feel fleshed out. I like the signal gives a mix between hands on and hands off which fixes my biggest gripe with TD style games when your big turret goes for the single baddie and not the big group!

MONITORS by hotdog 2026-04-22T20:54:18Z

Damm that's scary, not sure how to place the bomb but did seem able to turn off one of the TVs chasing me. Nice graphics and effects, the audio was popping and looping a bit not sure if that was the idea or not

crabmaxxing by SkyTech6 2026-04-26T15:26:31Z

I glitched into the sea, not sure if the waves is meant to kill your or just knock you about? Movement felt a bit weird and floaty, nice game but doesn't really hit the theme.

Read My Signal by Shivvvy 2026-04-26T15:01:00Z

Nice, great collaborative effort. Got the hang of it but at first I'd hoped there would be a little more feedback if the item was the right thing for them, kind of a hotter, colder game and them only getting fed up and leaving if you take took long or offer something really bad.

Fiddly little game, could be more enjoyable with a bit of "juice" and feedback when the ball is correct or wrong. The lack of audio is a shame even a couple of minutes in https://www.bfxr.net/ or something could really add to the game. The animation is nice and smooth.

Buller than Bull by gubo 2026-04-26T12:41:36Z

Love the art but no idea how to dodge, too much text to read in time, and the music loop is to short to hang around longer to work out what to do. Nice original idea.
