LD46 — Keep it alive

Stranded by KunoNoOni 2020-05-12T20:02:45Z

I really enjoyed this! I loved playing with the dice. You did a good job with the UI so that I knew what I had to do for the most part (only thing I wasn't sure of was "Scavage"). I think the signal should have just been the end of the game, rewarding the player. Also, maybe the dice could persist each round, giving the player something to work towards each time. Overall, nice job!

Efi by ludipe 2020-04-22T05:33:28Z

Wow this game was amazingly designed! I really liked the wobble shader too. Keep up the awesome work!

Socks by rainbowism 2020-04-22T05:11:54Z

Cute! Adding a few more destinations like the dumpster would have been appreciated, but still an enjoyable experience nonetheless. Graphics were top notch

Space Exodus by Kaish 2020-04-22T02:21:06Z

Huge fan of the 2d Audio as a means for finding resources! Also liked the minimal graphics. Good stuff!

Lively Inn by Svetoslav Godzhev 2020-04-22T02:30:55Z

I liked the simplicity of this game and that I was able to understand it really easily. Music added a lot to the mood. Nice work, keep it up!

Ludum Creare by Jon Topielski 2020-04-26T20:28:09Z

@emmyoop that's great feedback, thank you

Ludum Creare by Jon Topielski 2020-04-30T18:02:42Z

@stanleygray thank you for the kind feedback! As for that dialogue option 2, the point was that it was a "NullPointerException" in the object "BattleDialogue.OptionTwo" and the second dialogue option was blank, suggesting that the bug was in the option itself, causing it to be empty or "Null"

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

BLOOP by danman9914 2020-10-06T03:56:51Z

I liked how the weapon carries over from the previous enemy. The ending made me chuckle. Very nice for 48h!

U.F.O.M.O by dvdfu 2020-10-06T02:27:22Z

There's a lot to like here. I enjoyed the fact that the minigames were varied - one was sliding, one was repeated taps, etc. I only wish I could have gotten to 100 (but I guess that would defeat the message). Great stuff and loved the artstyle!

CRISPR BOB by Sol Roo 2020-10-07T19:25:45Z

First 5/5 game I rated, great job!

RevolveWare by Fatsheep 2020-10-07T02:35:54Z

Awesome game! Lots of fun, fits the theme, and has a sweet pixely 2d/3d look. Would love to see more!

ludum factorum by AMastryukov 2020-10-06T06:30:32Z

Niiiice love it. This is the kind of loop we can all relate to.

The Jolly Journey of J.J.'s Jelly-Jamventure by TJ101010 2020-10-06T01:56:45Z

I enjoyed this! The hand drawn art and the music put me in a zen-like state and I was able to focus well into levels 10+. I wasn't sure which enemies were bad and which were good so making that more obvious would be appreciated. Well done!

WhileLoops by Ausstein 2020-10-06T05:12:42Z

while (player.enjoyedGame()) { print("Nice game!"); } > Nice game! > Nice game! > Nice game! > Nice game! ... (Player died from overheating)

Keyspace by Jon Topielski 2020-10-08T22:53:36Z

@svyatozar is this after level 3? because the first 3 levels are tutorial levels where you can't move any keys

Fear Of Gears by dev_dwarf 2020-10-06T02:31:42Z

A roguelike in a 72h jam? Damn! Super impressive. Loved the fluidity of the animations and how snappy everything felt. I just wish it was a little easier (those circular eyeball enemies really had their way with me). I would buy a full game of this if it were to be released.

Rat Game: Year Of The Rat Edition by Mitosis 2020-10-07T06:18:44Z

The music really sold the hilarity on this one. Great work!

[while'd] by Celuloide 2020-10-07T18:06:52Z

Love the minimalist approach - you pulled off the aesthetic and gameplay really well! My only gripe is I wish I didn't have to redo any previous levels, I would rather just start from where I left off. I can look past this though because the game is so charming

Collateral Damage by Michael Parrish 2020-10-06T05:04:00Z

Simple, clever, nostalgic, and to the point. I think this is a great example of what a jam game should be.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

GRAPPLE the Abyss! by lectvs 2021-04-27T04:19:01Z

Solid entry. Got some VVVVVV vibes along with Celeste Classic 2. Even managed a boss fight in a 1 life precision platformer. Excellent!

Into the Deep Web by Jon Topielski 2021-04-30T03:38:51Z

@strangeryann I haven't played Random Dice, sorry xD. This game was influenced by games I've enjoyed like Pokemon, Mother/EB, FTL, Slay the Spire, Autobattlers, Dicey Dungeons, and the lovely art of Splendidland.

Falling Through Love by CinderBlock 2021-04-26T18:32:25Z

At first I thought this was a co-op game and then I realized I was controlling both! Cool concept and some neat quality of life features like displaying your previous high score as a passable line and a smooth menu-to-game intro. I found myself sticking to walls a bit too much and occasionally a single small hole was difficult to pass without bumping but still a great entry with some fine pixel art. If it's true that you've only been making games for 3 months, then this is wildly impressive.

Kikker Kerker by kleingeld 2021-04-27T04:29:58Z

Well this looks amazing. Hope you complete it!

LD49 — Unstable

Rock Stax by recursor 2021-10-10T23:42:29Z

Very nice entry. The low poly atmosphere worked really well with the puzzly vibe. The ability to lower the objects all the way down seems a little overpowered. If this were expanded, I think having the objects drop some distance would allow for more uncertainty/excitement. Still, great job!

SEXY BOOBY 95 by silkworm_sweatshop 2021-10-13T23:51:00Z

Amazing work, good job! Loved the aesthetic, the wobble, the humor, even the playable game.

Stabilized by dylanilvento 2021-10-08T04:39:57Z

Nice art and fun high score game! I was getting nowhere until I realized I should move slowly. Good usage of the theme, too.

Improbability Fighter by Wendel Scardua 2021-10-11T01:08:23Z

Woo beat the game on my third try. Excellent! The enemy attacks were pretty tricky, yet fair. Really cool that this was an actual NES game. Major props!

Unistable by boaheck-artgent 2021-10-14T06:58:50Z

Pretty interesting concept to have two movement keys AND a jump. I gave up after the first checkpoint but I had a hell of a good time trying.

Cyberduk by abvadabra 2021-10-09T02:10:28Z

This game slaps and is the kind of game I was hoping for from this theme. Loved the vibe too

Hazmat Magic by Ismael Rodriguez 2021-10-11T00:05:47Z

Really solid entry! Loved the simple yet effective graphics and the versality of the mechanics. No real complaints honestly, great work.

Help, I cast the wrong spell! by JUSTCAMH 2021-10-11T03:12:02Z

Dang that is a very cool mechanic and it's really thrilling when it feels like something is always chasing you. Well designed levels too. I think the explosions could be a little less punishing but still a really solid entry.

Horsey Bash by jakefriend 2021-10-09T01:59:40Z

Interesting combination of real time and turn based elements. Loved the art style and how the game doesn't take itself too seriously. Also really liked how the horse moved like a knight :)

Float by Cakestorm 2021-10-10T23:48:54Z

This game has a lot of personality! Love the art style and enemies and overall vibe. My only critique is that sometimes the game elements didn't stand out enough from the background, for example with the stalactites. Still, very solid entry. Good work!

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Thwack by Jon Topielski 2022-10-10T08:59:36Z

@javi7 I used the Godot engine. If you're curious about the art style, I combined stacked sprites with some procedural drawing of the legs.

LD55 — Summoning

Graveyard Shift: Skeleton Dad Simulator by mrVentures 2024-04-18T21:18:15Z

"You look just as good as the day you died" 5/5 humor xD Gameplay is also pretty funny in what you're actually having to do, although I found the combat a little challenging! A signal of when the enemy was about to strike would have been nice. Overall, a solid entry. I hope you two continue to do more jams in the future!

Desktop Daemon by Jon Topielski 2024-04-18T21:08:13Z

@scottjmulligan thank u!! so good to hear from you dude :3

Desktop Daemon by Jon Topielski 2024-04-19T17:58:21Z

@alchemic thanks for the kind words! yeah it's a little barebones at the moment but we might add some small things in the future. if you want a hidden secret: try quickly moving your mouse to all 4 sides of your screen :)

yes it's a combination of stacked sprites and 2d animations! Aseprite + [Stacked Sprite Viewer](https://jontopielski.itch.io/stacked-sprite-viewer) was used for editing the stacks

Desktop Daemon by Jon Topielski 2024-05-02T02:31:25Z

@thyoi omg!! i love the art you drew! thank you so much <3 i shared it with the artist on the team and he also loved it :))
