the game is challenging and amazing
The graphics are amazing, reminds me of the DKC and Oddworld games of old. It's a nice take on physics in platforming. Sometimes it was more about luck than real strategy to use the boxes to my advantage. Good job!
Well done, the game played exceptionally well, very smooth both in controlling the character and the physics was spot on. It looked great, I especially liked the character model. Don't know what advice to give to improve, platformers aren't my forte. Great Job!
You really nailed the unstable theme with the platform behavior. I love it
Like someone else said, reminds me of Oddworld, solid job.
Graphics, music and gameplay are crisp.
Great art style. Music was top tier too. Good job.
Really cool! Lots of fun and physics felt awesome. Loved the music as well.
Holy cow is this brilliantly executed. From the idea to the execution, looks great too, probably my favourite submission so far.
The only piece of feedback I can think of is I think you fell into a bit of a design trap where a lot of the levels have "slow" parts where it's just traversal and not much interaction with the cool mechanics and in my opinion a more condensed version of the interesting bits would work better (I make this mistake all the time too).
Although that might be entirely subjective, so take it with a grain of salt.
Really well put together. Mood and soundtrack is top notch :ok_hand:
Really thematic, unstable right from the start (in the good sense), but still behaves fairly to the player - as in even if unstable it is the players fault if he falls not the physics. Love the aesthetic as well.
Really fun ! Love the physics of the game :)
Easily one of my favourite games so far. The level design, art, music and everything was just top notch! Thank you for making it!
overall just a great game. Love the way the it feels, platforms are really satisfying to jump on and get swinging!
Nice music! I feared the platforming would be bad, bc of the bounciness, but its really good and precise. Every jump felt very intuitive. I really cant say, that I have seen that yet in any other game, but I dont play many platformers.^^
The level design is so good, perfect pacing of introducing new concepts! Looks great and fits the theme like a glove :D Only wish there'd be a couple of checkpoints for my sausage fingers.
Dope.
Ohhh nice really love the mood and how the city is scrolling in the background! Also very great job on the art style :D The controls are nicely responsive, which really helps with the tricky situations. All in all a very beautiful and unique submission, great job!
Bruto Juego
I gave you my feedback during my stream earlier today, but I wanted to say again how awesome this game is. The quality of the visuals and audio and the way they work together is exquisite. The whole thing is just quality.
This game was awesome. I really like responsiveness of the controls. Also the mood was really nice. Good work.
Nice art , Nice game, fun to play because of berry good controls.
Looks great and the platforms find a nice balance between fun and tricky, managing to never become frustrating.
Those graphics really fit you into the atmosphere! Good job!
Interesting mechanics and music, the jump movement is very cool, good job!
The physics were rock solid, though some coyote-time could help as sometimes the platform moves out of contact right as you jump...
@cottontshirtz thanks! I've implemented coyote-time, but had to limit it to 50 ms, because I didn't want it to be noticeable and it absolutely was noticeable with 100 ms delay.
nice one ! loved the art
Incredible entry, congrats to the team! Tons of mechanics, good simulations, perfect game feeling. Game was fun to play! Reminded me a lot of the old Traveler's Tales Sega Genesis games.
Awesome game! Graphics should get 6 stars I love it! Physics are amazing and difficulty is just right - really great job!
Really fun and polished controls. Good physics implementation for the connected platforms
Well done! Great game! The difficulty is perfect for me. I usually don't like physics based platformers as I find them complex, inconsistent and too difficult to get used to, but this one is really well executed. Everything feels just right and the swinging platforms are very fun. The aesthetic is cool. The music was also very enjoyable and it fits the game perfectly. Thank you for the experience!
Fun game, the platforms were a fun twist on the genre and a great use of the theme
Got 3 stars on all of the levels. I know its difficult so most people will quit halfway but very well done, I had a lot of fun at least!
The art is craaazy, wow
Also yeah the game was way too hardcore for me to finish :)
The narrative is awesome
The game was pretty tough, but the art is great, and there's a nice variety of platform types to make each level feel distinct.
This is the best art/theme/mood game I have seen for the Ludum dare 49 so far. You are on another level.
Really good game - moody cyberpunk theme on graphics and good physics...really nice idea.
This game has got such a great feel to it, really nails the cyberpunk feel. The platform physics is great, the instability keeping it exciting enough without getting in your way. Unbelievably polished game for 3 days work, I'm extremely impressed!
Really funny and good controller!
This game slaps and is the kind of game I was hoping for from this theme. Loved the vibe too
I so like the mood music gives. And this unstable platforms feeling so damn good. The cherry on the top is that unique pixelated art style. Everything is so rough, challenging and wwwoow. I really like your game. Will you make a full game out of it?
Super cool! Game feel and physics are great! I enjoyed it pretty much!
I enjoyed the game, it had an interesting art style and mood, and clever use of momentum with the platforms. The music was great too, so it's a shame you opted out of the audio category.
@japayne we've used music created by awesome Anonymous420 (aka Loyalty Freak Music aka Monplaisir), like we do frequently in our games. We didn't want to make it look like it's ours music so decided to opt out of Audio category.
@yogurtthehorse thank you for you feedback! Unfortunately we don't really consider releasing it as a full game. Indie games market is incredibly saturated with lots of brilliant titles, and it's much more fun to quickly make a jam game than working on a game for a long time with a slim chance of commercial success.
@japayne thanks! We did not make the music, so we could not participate in the audio category according to the rules. Pretty much everybody ignores that rule, but we don't want to nonetheless.
@gloomyfolken nah! Anyway you are cool, guys
@abvadabra @gloomyfolken Oh, my bad. I usually do compos, so I forgot that you can do that in the jam. Anyway, very fitting choice of music!
Not too much innovative but a solid platt cypunk
A regular collect-and-reach-the-end platformer game, with impressive usage of the physics engine. It needs some trying to take advantage of the unstable platform to make a high jump, in order to get some crystal. It's quite interesting.
Incredible game! I really do love the idea of a physics-based platformer and you did a wonderful job of creating one! The aesthetic is superb and the music fits it very well. Great job!
WOW! Super great! The mechanics are extremely well balanced and feel amazing. it's hard but doesn't feel frustrating. I also don't think I ever played a platformer with this type of physics, at least not one where it works so well.
I just wished to know more about the Duk, what happened to it's legs, what happened to the world, why is the Duk so Cyber... to many mysteries, I guess I will never know
Great Job!
very polished platformer!
Great music! Have played some levels 50+ times in a row! Catchy! Did not get to the end yet!
