Great mechanics! The theme really cracked me up, also some really cool level design for a jam game.

Great mechanics! The theme really cracked me up, also some really cool level design for a jam game.
I liked the idea, but I feel its way to easy to get hit by the enemies. Theres not enough control in how to approach enemies due to the fast movement speed and relatively small attack range.
Great game! Looks and plays like a very polished one, these also loads of content, good job
Really well executed! I like the controls of this one. It's a bit weird though, because for me the most fun part is trying to build as much speed as possible by chaining swings, but the coin/gem collection somewhat discourages that. Still, a really good entry, good job!
Very cool concept, the learning curve was a bit harsh, also not instantly obvious that you can jump on the bats (I spent the first 10 runs trying to avoid them), but all in all really well polished, good job!
Surprisingly fun! Wishing there was some more work done on the aesthetics of the game but the base really has great potential.
Really good entry, obviously theres some collision and pathfinding issues but it doesn't really take away from the experience. Had a lot of fun with this one!
Probably the most polish I've seen yet, loved the lore too. The only negatives I can think of is that the shooting is a bit unsatisfying and the "fisheye"(?) effect was a bit too disorienting, but a really good job!
A really cool idea! Loved the jokes too.
I feel though that there's a lack of feedback for the player, it's not always obvious if you got through the pop-up correctly unless to stare at the folder depth number.
Relly well executed! The zoom through the layers at the end was super satisfying :>
Had a lot of fun with this one, great graphics too!
Fun game, very nostalgic with similarities to Motherlode :> I do think the upgrades are a bit too costly, especially for a gamejam game.
Wow, really looks like game thats ready for release. I always try to find something to critique in my replies, but honestly, got nothing for you guys, good job!
Great submission, really liked the atmosphere. Good job guys!
This was really fun and suprisingly long!
Main criticism would that there isn't any feedback of getting hit by the enemies and the rifle weapon felt pretty weak. But don't get me wrong, really one of the better games I've played yet.
Really responsive controls, wishing the different fish would feel more different.
Interesting concept with really nice visuals, I agree with others that the controls could be more responsive. I think the boost should work in mid-air too. Also I think giving the player control of the camera would work better here, since it sometimes goes all over the place when doing smaller moves.
Brilliant! This instantly felt like something that would be super fun to speed run/try and find level skips in. I wish the ending zone wasn't so unnecessarily small, it felt a bit weird going from zoom zoom in the level to slow precise movements near the end, but it's probably my playstyle at fault. Really good job!
Very cute dog, dumb, but cute. Fun to play, I will be awaiting the sequel "Dog ate another bomb: Bank Heist"
Really fun take on the theme, gave me a good laugh. I wish the grabbing was a bit more responsive, but otherwise good job!
Holy cow is this brilliantly executed. From the idea to the execution, looks great too, probably my favourite submission so far.
The only piece of feedback I can think of is I think you fell into a bit of a design trap where a lot of the levels have "slow" parts where it's just traversal and not much interaction with the cool mechanics and in my opinion a more condensed version of the interesting bits would work better (I make this mistake all the time too).
Although that might be entirely subjective, so take it with a grain of salt.
Thanks for all the feedback guys! I really did not expect such overwhelmingly positive support.
I updated the itch.io build to include some small fixes that were mentioned above, hopefully that is not against the compo rules.
If you want to try the version of the game submitted to the jam, I included a link for that in "Downloads and Links" section too.
@peachtreeoath Yeah it turns out the post-jam "fix" introduced a way more severe issue :D, it has been fixed now, so you can check out the game again if you want to, 2-4 was the last level though :/
The art is great! Gave me some slick flash game vibes (like N++ f.e.). Unfortunately there's some moments where you have to wait to get the correct form (like waiting for ball to get to the higher area), but I'm not really sure how to fix that without losing the unstability aspect of the game.
Fun gameplay and really funny writing, loved this. (I really need to go to sleep, though the "drunk" effect was my brain playing tricks)
Good idea and execution! Got some strong Celeste vibes which is always a compliment. The player felt a bit too floaty for me but anyways a brilliant submission.
Visuals were very nice. The idea is unique, but I don't think the "choose your own difficulty" route really works here, as you can instantly experience most of what the game has to offer by just selecting all hacks, I think some unlock system would work better.
The idea is super creative, I only wish the pointers were more scary and important to deal with, because at some point I realised it's easier to just speed through the text instead trying to shoot them down :/
agree with @firebelley that the theme part isn't really strong, but i really loved the design and execution
I really liked the intro bit, it was pleasantly surprising. Wish it was longer!
Not too innovative, but very well excecuted. Loved the sound design!
Very cool concept and a funny idea. Loved the portal effects! Good job!
I love the mood, visuals + sound design are superb! I feel like the game really needs better indication on how well you're doing in the round and how long you have, but it's understandable to not have it perfect for a jam game. Great job anyways!
Well done! I liked how the ambience changes as the game progresses.
This is really awesome, both visually and has interesting gameplay. Is there a limit of how many elements you can have at one though? I feel like sometimes I run into an issue where I have a orbs each of all elements and can't cast most spells, but can't override what I already have either.
One of the best experiences I've in Ludum Dare, period. Absolutely great job!
I share the opinion that this is an absolutely amazing idea to be developed into a full game! The jam version is a bit rough on the edges though, being halfway through a build and having the instructions or a piece clip through the table is a bit rage inducing :D. Don't get me wrong, it's still amazing what you've managed to accomplish a great jam entry!
Great job! Especially with the medium used, very inspiring
Love the visuals, also managing a smooth player experience with an intuitive tutorial in a gamejam game is always impressive, great job!
The atmosphere, sound and visuals are really nice. I didn't really understand what to do after editing the images, the tutorial doesn't go as far :D
