I'm terrible at this type of games! But I love the background art, and the little summoners, they are so cute!

I couldn't play it very well on the website, it works very laggy but the mood is very good and fun!
Great concept & style!
Awww, this is a very cool game! I really liked its mechanics and style. Great job!
Your graphics are gorgeous.... I just beat Night in the Woods the other day and the thumbnail reminded me of it so I had to click Great work on the visuals! I would have loved if there was a marker that would show where you're going to end up when you dash!
woooOOWWWW style of this game is incredibly cute T.T i like the idea that u came home from this portal to ur child and cat... such a good work
I really like how the powerups are from your own home and not from a shop or some random card! It's tough being a single dad
oof this was a really fun experience, dashing feels so satisfying when done right and I found myself doing pretty good as long as I stay off the edges of the map, the art style is really sweet but I wish there was some music to build more mood. having your child with you to shoot enemies is also a welcome addition especially with those pesky helmet units. overall this is a really fun game
I've completed the game! and I LOVE IT!!!!so much fun! I like the art style and everything! really great work!
awesome game!! One thing is i wish i could see the range of how far the demon moves before clicking, sometimes i overshoot where i think the demon can go versus where it actually goes
Very cute game. I like what you did with the cooking upgrades.
I think the arrow guys shouldn't hurt me just by touching. It would be also cool to be able to break arrows by dashing through them.
I found the difficulty jump was a bit sudden on the second level, you could let the player get 1 or 2 more upgrades before that (or make it a bit easier with the above suggestions).
Being hurt could give a bit more feedback like some audio, screen shake.
Maybe adding some invicibility frames where you can't be hurt twice in a short time (or making this longer if it is already in there) would make it feel a bit more fair.
Being able to kill the summoners accidently could be funny.
Overall a solid entry!
Beautiful art, I really like grass and little men with candles in their hands. They're cute! It's a pity that I don't have enough reaction, and I get killed quickly :(
Really cute game. Played till the end and loved it. Wish there were more levels and abilities!
Agree with the other commenters that it would be good to make taking damage more visible and have a brief moment of invincibility to avoid dying super quick
Really fun idea! I felt an emotional connection to not dying so I will not leave a baby devil behind alone in the world.
This is a great concept and has a fantastic gameplay loop! The art is wonderful and charming, and mixes with a comedic effect when cutting down cute little merry men of the forest.
If there was anything to critic it would be having some invincibility frames as @lexi89 and @unless-games mentioned. I notice that I primarily die when I am getting swarmed and unable to get some breathing room to reevaluate the situation. You could also consider hitstops if an enemy manages to damage you if want the player to have a quick pause to strategize.
Again, amazing entry! I'm so happy I ran into this!
Nice game!
Haha! Great graphics and fun gameplay! As an audio person I'd love to have heard the game more but great voice acting.. lalalala!
I press space when I get a prompt and nothing happens. So I do not progress further, the summoner continues asking me to press space. But before that it was pretty cute, espetially those dashes that cut enemies :)
Cool little game ! Love the cooking mechanics to upgrade the abilities ! The fact that the dash target the mouse seem's weird for me, like it's working but it's hard to focus on the player position and the mouse position sometimes. Congrat's :)
i was NOT expecting the house part haha! it's a fun combination. I love the transition between both scenaries with the glowing mark and all, i love those kind of details. The gameplay is fun, but i would love a little more difficulty and maybe some music. Other than that, i liked it. (btw, the ending screen with the cat super cute ^^)
Cute game. Nice art style. I like the breaking up of levels and little mini games at home. Could have used some (more?) i-frames when you get hit and a cursor graphic.
Really, really good! I found the combat particularly difficult, it felt like I had no i-frames? I only made heart meals (I found it hard to stay alive y'see!) so maybe it was hard because I didn't get any abilities? I love the concept and story behind it and the baby cry sound is cute too!
Good choice for those three enemies; spearman, archer and berserker, each had a different way to deal with them.
I found that running isn't very helpful, even made the game harder for me. I think it is easier to just stand in place and "move" using dash. With that I was able to, quickly and without a problem, finish the game. My upgrades were: heart, pepper and heart again, but it looks like it doesn't work twice (would be nice to have that mentioned somewhere). I wish there could be more levels with more enemies incoming and being able to buff myself even more, but I couldn't press anything on the end game screen.
I didn't expect "going home" for the first time so it was a surprise. The way you get upgrades by cooking and take care of the child by swinging it, was funny.
Overall a very enjoyable game :smiling_imp:
