LD42 — Running out of space

Bleach Beach by Steffo 2018-08-14T10:24:24Z

Liked the idea and graphics. Game is pretty fun to play but sometimes you just get stuck in the wall and have to restart. Nonetheless, these graphics are amaizing.

An Ode to Space by Omni 2018-08-14T00:43:04Z

Love the aethestics of the game. This style and audio fits perfectly. And also kind of interesting approach to this theme <3

Ludum Dare Simulator 2019 by samboyer276 2018-08-14T16:38:18Z

Liked the idea and gameplay. It's pretty interesting to play and see the results, kind of like a real jam. Altough making music is quite frustrating, for me it starts to fast and I just cant do anything with it. Nonetheless, a pretty solid work for 72 hours

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Shadow Loop by Mekuri 2020-10-06T12:34:48Z

That's a cool idea and the game overall feels nice, well done! Bonus points for nice and fitting music. There is a potential here, adding more interactive hacking minigames can make this Shadow Loop even better. I imagine some watch dogs kind of hacks could totally fit this idea. Thanks for making it!

Loop â™» by ColinBellino 2020-10-06T12:06:00Z

Despite being quite simple, that is a fun and polished game, well done! It has certain vibe to it and completing level feels pleasant. I can imagine it being a pretty cool puzzle game with more levels and mechanics, maybe some plot? Thanks for making this.

Space Loop Kit by Marin0104 2020-10-06T13:24:31Z

This idea is really interesting, well done! i love the visuals and sfx, setting up weapons and defences is a bit hard at first but feels rewarding when you get it right. Just wish there was no an insta death because you have to re-setup weapons again each time. Thanks for making this game!

Loopin'Space by Stracker 2020-10-06T12:18:44Z

Looping environment is quite a cool concept, well done. The game is fun to play, but the boss is bit unbalanced in my opinion. Graphics look nice and overall this game feels polished. I like it! Thanks for making it.

This game is really cool! I totally love your combination of pixel art and vfx, works like charm. Controls can be a bit tricky at first but not hard to get used to. Thanks for making it!

TimeSplitters 4 by BlueCalx 2020-10-08T19:03:21Z

You, people behind this game, are a bunch of mad geniuses. Coming up with this concept seems incredibly smart, and I loved solving these puzzles, totally fun. Finished all levels except the last one, but only because don't have the time right now and probably will return to it later.

I agree with comments above mentioning that understanding mechanics is a bit hard at first, but once you get it - everything suddenly makes sense and solving levels starts feeling natural. It's like figuring out the plot of the Primer movie (btw, totally recommend watching), once you understand how it works you are starting to see the whole picture. All of it probably means that a simple in-game tutorial will solve the problem.

Bonus points for the music, altough simple, it works like a charm with your simple graphics.

Hoping for a post jam version, thanks for making this game!

MonkeyVM by abvadabra 2020-10-06T22:18:31Z

@skyeward I loved how you played it on stream, thank you!

MonkeyVM by abvadabra 2020-10-08T18:13:38Z

@arthurds your stream was rad, had a blast watching you solving puzzles, thank you!

Training for Capitalism by scott.redrup 2020-10-06T12:49:45Z

The idea is great, with a bit more polishing it can be a really good game! The speed control feels a bit too sensitive, adding some inertia to the train can make it feel a bit more like a real train and will force the player to predict when it will stop, adding some anticipation. Overall - that's a good entry! Thanks for making this game.

Splines 'n Shapes by SharkWithLasers 2020-10-06T15:14:55Z

What a fun concept, well done! I think your game fits this Ludum Dare perfectly.

The name of the game is O but apparently it's too short for ludum dare by Default Labs 2020-10-07T13:51:21Z

Not sure I understood this game, but it just happened that I spent about half an hour just clicking mouse button, listening to the sounds and thinking about my life choices. Thanks for making this.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Volcanaclimber by niksg 2021-04-27T01:23:36Z

Quite a good example of simple but interesting core mechanic! What's more, map design makes a good job at keeping you focused and careful with your movement. Pretty good entry.

Sergei the Salvager by kankje 2021-04-27T01:46:44Z

Really surprised how you managed to finish a game with such a broad scope in only 72 hours. I liked this sense of depth and cosmic horror. Especially the final 'surprise' was very well implemented. Good job.

ROOTS by TheGreenWorm 2021-04-26T01:58:39Z

Got me going for quite a while. Some interesting mechanics, especially it was really cool to max out (almost) all upgrades. Well done on getting so much implemented in only 48 hours. This project is a very curious showcase of simple systems, and the polish in this entry is awesome. What a fun game.

Subsanity by cannashblue 2021-04-27T03:45:55Z

The art in this game is gorgeous, as well the sfx/music. Pretty solid entry!

@japayne we've used music created by awesome Anonymous420 (aka Loyalty Freak Music aka Monplaisir), like we do frequently in our games. We didn't want to make it look like it's ours music so decided to opt out of Audio category.
