Lacks some clarity in how you lose charge and what you're supposed to do, but otherwise a well executed game !

Lacks some clarity in how you lose charge and what you're supposed to do, but otherwise a well executed game !
Great entry ! consistent graphics and original environment !
Lacks a bit of progression in difficulty or ability, the game is a bit too easy. Otherwise, pretty fun !
Really, really good, incredibly consistent art and feel, satisfying gameplay and you have a great little game here ! As has been said before, it's missing a player damage signal.
Very, very cool ! The idea is really good, the only negative is that charging batteries is kinda frustrating.
Impressive visuals and effects, smooth gameplay, it just gets a bit repetitive after half the relays
The gameplay is really smooth and satisfying, though some of the art is kind of blurry. Had a lot of fun in those 5 minutes !
This was pretty fun for the couple games I played, I liked the fact I had to balance between alternating keys correctly and stopping to buy turrets.
The basic gameplay is pretty satisfying, I enjoyed my 5 minutes with it !
Movement is a bit stiff, and the enemies' movements can be a little frustrating, but a fun little game nonetheless !
Pretty cool, but a bit hindered by some unclear things like which wall will disappear next, and what direction the red dots will take.
Cool ! Nice art and audio, gameplay is a bit simple but pretty enjoyable nonetheless !
Very nice looking with a bit flawed gameplay, the character feels slippery and it makes navigating kind of frustrating.
Very intriguing concept, but it lacks some cues as to what exactly everythings does.
Very intriguing concept, but it lacks some cues as to what exactly everythings does.
The gameplay is pretty stiff and punches lack a bit of reactivity, but pretty good theme and visuals !
An interesting concept, but there's not much of a game there. What's there is definitely beautiful though !
I couldn't find a way beyond the second panel, so I'm not sure if there's anything after that... But from what little I've seen, I liked the atmosphere and the music !
Fantastic presentation, original gameplay, a great package ! The only criticism I could maybe find is that it's not exactly 'stuck' in a loop, but I'm really nitpicking here.
Interesting concept and take on the loop theme. The music was nice ! Good on you to implement a tutorial as well.
In practice manipulating the asteroids is too hard though, most of my points came from just smashing UFOs in the center, I think the game would flow better with an orbit reference or ruler of some kind. The art is also a bit too simple, can't say it's a strong point.
The rewind mechanic is so well executed, I love it !
The game is indeed lacking in the visual and content department though, but it's a very interesting base !
@owlycode that is unfortunately a bug, it should never have to wrap more than twice, but sometimes it misses you on the second pass and then you just have to wait for it for long enough that you usually just die :c.
It's linked to lower framerates, so playing the windows version will help in that regard. I could fix it but for fairness' sake I won't until the rating phase is finished ^^.
@3mpty Noted about the difficulty curve, it was planned to be improved further but time was unfortunately lacking for that. Keep in mind there *is* an element of randomness to the spawns, so you can get unlucky patterns that can be hard to deal with.
@jordan-kelly I'm so glad at least someone noticed those small features. Those extra touches can make such a difference ! Hope you enjoy it when you do try it :)
@kaiomoi heyyy, un autre franchouillard :D, comment t'as su que j'étais francais ? Merci pour les compliments ^^ Je suis passé par ton jeu aussi :)
@hawkin Glad you like it, thanks for playing !
Asteroid-like ('Inertia based' as we called it) controls were already on the table and would have probably been implemented as a 'hard mode' of sorts, but we ended up focusing on other things before the deadline. It would have made the game, which is already pretty hard, a whole lot harder, as they make the game a lot less reactive. Also I'm not sure how well it would have meshed with the 'slow down to charge' mechanic.
Noted about hitboxes, the best fix would probably to increase the size of the hitbox for the 'reactor missile', that would make '1 pass' loops a bit easier as well as making enemies easier to hit.
Oh that's a fun concept !
The gameplay could use a bit of polish, it was slightly frustrating when someone I was targeting was hanging just next to a rock and just not allowing me to catch them with the leash, for example. Also a weird issue where the fullscreen game would crop out the upper bar, so I couldn't see how much time was left...
Otherwise the art and music make for a nice and funny package, Cool !
@kurt-roembke Ooooh, that'll teach me to skim instructions, that does make things a bit better !
This looks like it was a bit too ambitious for the 72h, I found the gameplay somewhat clunky and slow, the game could really use a bit of gamefeel polish. It does look quite good though !
Great atmosphere ! The sound and visual design match perfectly, and the length was on point, great entry !
Okay that was fantastic ! The concept is awesome, and the government site theme actually got a good chuckle out of me, all that in a polished and fluid package. Plus you can't go wrong with those EXPLOSIONS !
My favorite so far, great work !
I could never manage to lay more than one egg, which meant I couldn't progress very far :( The overall art is pretty cool, I appreciate the graphics and music (that title screen !). The gameplay lacked a bit of fluidity though.
Verdict : pretty cool !
Cool minigames in a very funny, nice looking and sounding package. funny interpretation of the theme too !
Nice little game ! the hitboxes are a bit weird, leading to few strange deaths... On the other hand good style ! pretty cute !
Well executed idea ! Love the super crate box inspiration !
The game could stand to be a little bit smaller, in that I mean the zombies and the car should be bigger, and the car handling could use a bit of work, especially relating to walls.
The sound effects work well, and graphically it's coherent, if a bit simple.
Not the most original of gameplay loops (hohoho), but the graphics and overall fluidity and polish absolutely make up for that. Very fun little game !
Managed to stumble through all of the levels ! Feels polished and plays handsomely, very well executed !
Cool puzzle game ! I felt like the time limit was kind of out of place though, was it really needed ?
Pretty good !
Could use a bit more visibility on the enemy projectiles, and I found the enemies that just went straight forward a bit annoying, as it was impossible to shoot them without putting yourself in the line of fire, especially when 2 or more were aligned.
I chuckled at the voice lines :P, and the 3d art was not bad !
Fun little thing, very soothing. The orbit calculations were indeed a bit off, and it would have been cool to see an actual game with those mechanics, but a nice package overall ^^
Such an interesting entry, despite the lack of game within it, you have a very soothing voice you know ? :)
It's interesting to hear how someone else dealt with the alloted time, or lack thereof here ! You get better at estimating how long things will take as you practice more, and you can alway get more things done with a team, especially if you want to focus on art ! The other solution scaling down and making simpler games, which can still work quite well if it's well executed enough.
Thank you for this, and hopefully you'll do better next time !
Cool concept, nice style ! The game leans on being a fair bit too hard though, and I was a bit confused about what it wanted me to do when switching rooms... All in all, I like it !
Ooooh nice concept, had fun racing around with the swarm of cars ! Controls feel a bit weird, but I can't quite nail down why, and it doesn't run as well as i'd like, but fun entry regardless !
Well made little game ! The cat AI felt a bit inconsistent and somewhat easy to avoid, but yeah otherwise I had a good time with it.
Reminds me of the gnorp apologue, which was also made in rust ! Like gnorp, i love the way there's just so much stuff happening on screen at some point, its fun chaos !
I, uhm, wow, I'm actually impressed ! Consistent pixel art, genuinely interesting tactical gameplay and ideas, cool music, there ain't much to criticize !
@louiewu That was half the point ! At some point we realized the fun was in the chaos and went with it :) @alexis-brochec It *is* meant to be a sort of rock paper scissors dynamic ! It's a bit more dynamic than that, with AIs differing somewhat between each unit, which makes for a tiny strategic twist
Fun little frogger-like, I like the pixel graphics, and the gameplay is fun to play around with for a bit. It feels a bit random and you can sometimes get stuck respawning into pedestrians, but cool entry otherwise !
Fun take on an incremental game. It's a polished entry, and I like the original way to interact with the incremental element (although it gets a bit annoying as you start having a lot of creatures). The visuals stay coherent throughout, which is a plus in a jam. Cool stuff !
That was fun ! I'll concur with other commenters, the spiders can feel a bit too tanky, making it feel like you're just waiting around spamming archers for them to die at a couple points. It does increase their feeling of inevitable doom, which i'll mark as a point for mood :) I like the visual style and atmosphere, the kinda lo-fi aesthetic works well, i love the way the little units are presented.
Really polished and well made entry (no really, like, damn how ?) , but I... find it super annoying to play. It's really hard to gauge the arc of the arrow, and combined with the angle of the camera, it sometimes doesn't feel fair at all.
Movement felt a bit... counterproductive ? I'll concur with other commenters that moving around was often more of a detriment.
Literally everything else it top notch for something made in 3 days, audio, visuals, general gamefeel.
Ah another cool bee game ! There's some cool ideas in there, but I felt like this lacked a bit of polish, here's some points of improvement:
- Gameplay is not super clear, I had to basically trial and error to see how to kill enemies, and how they behaved. The game does give you the leeway to do that though, so it's not too much of a problem. - Individually there are some pretty great sprites, but their scaling is inconsistent, which means the game ends up looking a bit messy at times.
Regardless, good entry, keep up the good work :)
