Really interesting games ! GG the games works really well !

bitluderrb7804fr 2024-10-08 18:48

It works really well, I like it. Gameplay/strategy might be lacking, but the simulation looks nice, placement works well, and the graphics are fun. Solid entry.

madbarron 2024-10-09 03:56

Totally accurate bee simulator! I'm surprised it works as well as it does 👍🏻, they all fly around in a believable way, I don't know how you did it. A cool experiment and it was kinda fun to figure out.

coooooooooooolll

overlix 2024-10-09 17:31

great idea, i love it, that works well, just some little display bug in the ui, i like the fact that we understand nothing about the fight when there is a lot of bee, that's fun

leothecoo1 2024-10-09 17:32

P rad

louiewu 2024-10-09 17:32

Am I the only one who thinks it's hilarious when you see those bees are fighting each other? I found it really interesting just by watching them fight. Great idea.

noah-mazard 2024-10-09 17:34

Nice boids and game generaly, well done !

tinykidtoo 2024-10-09 17:35

Bee fight club! I am in. I am not sure what the difference is between the units, but bumblebee all the way! Also, I kept starting the round on accident with zero units. But it seems really forgiving, letting me try again. Long Live the bumble bees!

alexis-brochec 2024-10-09 17:39

Really cool entry, the flying systeme is on point. For a first 3D entry, it's amazing. I felt it work like a rock paper scisor, is it really ?

Great Job

stracker 2024-10-09 18:02

@louiewu That was half the point ! At some point we realized the fun was in the chaos and went with it :) @alexis-brochec It *is* meant to be a sort of rock paper scissors dynamic ! It's a bit more dynamic than that, with AIs differing somewhat between each unit, which makes for a tiny strategic twist

menacingmecha 2024-10-09 18:13

Neat TABS-like! Does the level repeat after a certain point? It looked like I played the same level where I had 10k (I think?) three times in a row, so stopped there.

stracker 2024-10-09 18:19

@menacingmecha Yeah, the 10k level is meant to be more of a 'sandbox' level to just play around with the bugs, but the ending screen was sacrificed on the altar of 'ran out of time'

wubbaduck 2024-10-13 00:46

Hey look! Another bee game! Nice! This reminds me of Gratuitous Space Battles. It would be good to have some indication of the stats of each of the bees for some more informed decision making. Other than that I had a good time with it.

runningopenloop 2024-10-13 02:50

I liked most things about the game... except I didn't see the strategy aspect. I wasn't able to tell what I was up against --> Maybe I needed to look more carefully... but then I would just buy stuff and win everytime? I thought the "animation" and executing were really nice though.

sibi 2024-10-13 12:26

Oh nice someone else made a lowpoly bee game using boids! It worked really well and definitely had a strong swarm feeling. I would've loved some more info on the different units to better understand how to strategize but figured it out by trial and error. Really fun!

hawkin 2024-10-15 18:45

You _nailed_ it. Three-dimensional TABS with stinging insects. Love it! And it ran surprisingly well on my laptop. Respect for using Godot!

I liked the progression of levels to teach which units were effective against other types. That made the following levels feel so much more tactical.

Bumble Gang is OP!

sasha20 2024-10-16 22:27

The game’s innovative take on the theme is complemented perfectly by its stunning visuals. Good Job!

someone 2024-10-19 22:01

Good chaotic fun. The insect models were great. A stage indicator would have been useful to tell the levels apart. I can tell there is some strategy mechanics here but the battles were all easy to win without any consideration to unit configuration. The early battles were just if one unit dies instantly then try the other one. I never really figured out what was supposed to beat what.

deadroach 2024-10-20 20:02

Very innovative! Love the sound effect when they die and it's very fun to watch them fly around eachother and fight. Great work!

literato-games 2024-10-20 23:06

The AI works very well, congratulations!
